We as a society should talk more about the impact Riddle's arrival to NRC must've had on Cater and Trey's relationship.

They were probably a lot closer before Riddle came back into Trey’s life, and I personally have been in Cater's position more than once and it's genuinely one of the most painful ways to lose a close bond with someone

And finding Lullay was a happy accident!! I mentioned in a post way back but i love telling the story again.

I found Lullay as a really sick Drowzee hiding in the bushes near my family's property line when i was young. Turns out, our neighbor at the time was running a SUPER Illegal breeding mill (west Unova having a very delicste ecosystem and all, this guy was breeding pokemon that were invasive to the area) and breeding not only for shinies to sell for thousands, but also other obscure-but-sought-after traits. Lullay for example actually still has a ribbed nose like she did as a Drowzee, instead of a smooth nose that other Hypno have.

I asked Dad in the sweetest "please ive been good about chores and also i got an A on my test" voice i could if I could keep her, and he said and I quote "don't get attatched, we'll take it to the Pokemon Center to see if it dies or not"

And welp! She didn't die! And bounced back better than ever!!! And I've had her ever since!!!!!

From the jump she wasn't much of a battler, and it was about the time I graduated Elementary school that I started developing some pretty bad social anxiety, so I worked with Professor Juniper to train Lullay to be more of a support 'mon. Her Hypnosis can not only put me to sleep, but also if she sends the waves out in smaller doses it kinda chills me out so I'm not worrying so much. It's really interesting, the amount of stuff a Pokemon is capable of! We also trained her with grounding techniques (like laying on me and holding my hands if i start to panic, singing/trilling to soothe me to sleep, etc)

I've had tons of people come up and ask me why I don't have a more conventional therapy 'mon like a Sylveon or an Absol, and the answer is: a Sylveon or an Absol wasn't the one that got stuck in my property fence :D
