As always when creating a new OC - I have thoughts and ideas and heacanons and therefore I shall share because who else is gonna listen to me rant??

ANYWAY! -

So Rhydian is around 22 at the conclave, and he obviously snuck in alongside the actual people The Keeper sent, he tried to get Val to go with him, but Val was already occupied joining Ifanna on a hunt. Val sort of told him not to go, but when has Rhyd ever listened? Definitely not to his sister, and doesn't she just hate him a little for making her worry?

But yes, Valerio (grew up in an Alienege, found Clan Lavellan - kind of tagged along long enough for them to all kind of love him) is his absolute best friend and with Val being 24, he considers Rhydian his younger brother.

(Now I know Myrinah is generally classed as around 30 at the Conclave but for the sake of this story? She's around 32 at the time of the big boom). So Myrinah is about 10 years older than Rhyd, and she's the one who taught him how to use a big axe, whereas Val's a rogue and really they're pretty evenly matched when they decide to scuffle.

Eirianwen on the other hand is still the sweetest, nothing ever changes that, and she of course fixes them up as best she can without magic. She also is the one to fix their weapons and create new exploding things for Val to try.

Ifanna is definitely older, around 29 I'm thinking? And she considers them all idiots - except for Myrinah. She's snarky enough to be considered fun, but way too closed off with them to be considered friends with the younger boys.

So Rhydian sneaks into the Conclave (terrible idea), becomes the sole survivor and immediately, after trying to fix the sky, writes to Val and demands he move his ass to Haven. Val, of course, reads the letter, swears up and down but packs his favourite daggers away and marches down to Haven alongside Myrinah and Eiri because how dare Rhydian not ask that they come? And now Leliana, Cassandra, Cullen and Josie have to deal with 4 Elves from Clan Lavellan who absolutely make their lives somewhat hellish - if by accident.

Plus, in this canon? Where Rhydian makes his family come bail him out, Rhydian kinda falls in love with Bull the second he sees him (there are other canons where it's Dorian but I can't split Val and Dorian up can I?).

Val, as stated above, is totally smitten with this mage who can do absolutely no wrong in his eyes and Myrinah, as always, loves her squishy dumb human. Eirianwen is kind but she's not interested in anyone (perhaps Solas but eh).

I've just been seeing this going around and I really wanted to do it because I wanted to see how my OCs have changed (and three of them really have lmao).

1. Myrinah Lavellan

MY BABY GORL. MY LOVE. She's come so far. She's not only the first Inky I ever loved, she's also the first one I posted here and started talking about and connecting with people through and I love her so so much for that. But I digress, Myrinah (I found this pic from her first post where I even put how her name sounds; Meh-rin-ah) is my baby and she's only really changed into Trespasser. She's stayed fairly similar all the way down to her outfit throughout her playthru. She's only really gained more scars because of her warrior and berserker status in game that I thought made her story more authentic? Idk, I just loved adding more scars to my girl and I think her eyes changed a bit?

Honestly, her personality definitely was tweaked but, to be fair, that was all her. She was supposed to be violent and cunning as hell but overall 'sweeter than you'd expect' lmao my bitch is a bitch thru and thru. I love her the way she is now; cold and stoic with anger issues but intense and passionate feelings. A complete dork on the inside but so confident yet emotionally detached on the outside, unafraid to speak her mind and totally, unapologetically sexual.

I just adore her.

2. Frey

Literally my most unknown Inquisitor, because she was kind of the 'first' (not the first, first but I did start her playthru before I started Myrinah's but like I did Myrinah's first so...).

Anyway, she started out being a Dalish elf who romanced Solas but she never felt right? She was gorgeous and so sweet and strong willed but her entire story felt fake? I don't know, I completed her playthru but it felt generic and like she wasn't in it, it literally could have been any character, it didn't matter. It was a really boring playthru tbh, I loved her and she was so sweet and I had a few headcanons and Solas and her were amazing but that was that? (This was before I got the DLCs too so...lmao). Anyway, did the game and when I finished it was it. Until I found her saves again and got all nostalgic and remade her and gave her the backstory she deserves.

Now she's Frey; a half-elf, half-Qunari. Her father was the Dalish elf and mother a Tal-Vashoth who settled in a small village on the outskirts of Orlais, right near the border. She grew up learning magic from both her parents and was fascinated with it all. She never had any siblings and is quiet and reserved (still super soft!).

Physically she's a little different; she has very small but long, pointed ears and has a slightly larger build than most elves (height and size). Her face shape is similar and her features as close as I could get them. Her eyes are darker and more green (fade connection bitches!) and she has more scars in the same area (exact same, I went and double checked because that had to be the same!). She has the same skin tone and complexion and hair cause that's Frey but her nose is a little different and she looks a little older I think. She has no Vallaslin, although her father offered, and no connection to the Dalish Gods nor Andraste.

I'm doing her new playthru right now if anyone wanted to know more about her!

3. Ifanna Lavellan

Ifanna literally irritated the shit out of me for weeks and I couldn't figure out why. I loved her face but she was so pale and odd looking and ehh, she didn't match with how I wanted her to look when I created with her. She was supposed to be similar to Zevran, I had her as Antivan, so when I made her in the Thing she wasn't as pale and I think that's what threw me when I saw her in the game, she was a lot more pale than I expected. Literally that was it, her skin tone was wrong. So I went and I changed it and her hair and bam. My beautiful baby.

I find it interesting, Ifanna's relationship with Solas - because like, they don't get along? But she's also naturally curious as to answer questions and solve problems that she willing talks with him, although now when I'm choosing options, I'm going for ones that don't always agree with what he's sprouting and no offence, but dude sounds crazy obsessed with things.

🖊- Ifanna Lavellan

Ifanna always carries an arrowhead tied with string around her neck for luck! It's from her first kill and it was a lucky shot itself. She's always polishing it and repairing the intricate design it has on the head so it always looks pretty. When the Inquisition is coming to an end, she slips the arrowhead necklace over Cullen's head for good luck, to protect him in battle.

🖊 - Myrinah Lavellan

This angry bitch actually loves flowers and gardening and just sitting in the sun. She spends hours tending to Skyholds garden and coaxing little buds to bloom. When the gang is out scouting or doing things for the Inquisition, Bull (and Vivienne) are always trying to keep her focused on the task and trying to stop her from always stopping to pick flowers.

🖊 - Briar Cousland

After everything that led to Briar becoming a Grey Warden, she stopped feeling safe in the dark or at night. She could barely sleep and not from nightmares, but it was like her body was so tense and she was so amped up that she couldn't drift off to sleep at all. She tried sleeping in a tent, out a tent, near the fire, with Fluffy but nothing seemed to work until things started getting more intense with Zevran. The day she woke up feeling rested from a full nights sleep with him beside her? That was when she realised she loved him.
