you couldnt say you were one to believe in theoretical situations. but, after one day out with your friends, you recall how woojin said cupid could sometimes miss when shooting his arrow. you thought it was silly, but later began to think about how it was possible.

ever since you and your friends were young, it was a well known fact between you, woojin, and hera, that you had a huge crush on rian. to others, it seemed obvious. but to rian? he was completely oblivious. for most of your childhood, he only ever had eyes on jae-i.

after jae-i came back from the states and back to school, of course, people only saw her as the queen of jooshin. so when you heard from hera that rian had been dumped at the racetrack, (after you weren’t able to make it), she was determined to help you dethrone jae-i.

maybe cupid was able to shoot his arrow twice, because you’ve never felt this close to having such an opportunity.

despite growing up in the same friend group, rian has always seemed to be the most distant from you. so naturally, you were beyond surprised when he had reached out to you after the break up.

‘is he serious right now?’ you thought to yourself with your brows furrowed. ‘how desperate..’

rian had you left you on read for 15 minutes. and you didn’t doubt the fact that you knew he was already on his way.

as if right on schedule, there he was, already knocking on your door.

“so will you help me, or not?” rian asked impatiently as he followed you upstairs to your room.

“fine. you wanna win her back? make her jealous.” you briefly suggested, walking into your room and guiding him to sit on your bed. “how?”

“you saw how she was with that scholarship kid at the party. she didn’t even push him off. she wants to get under your skin. so get under hers. like, fake a relationship or something.”

“i don’t know if i want that. but if i were to go with it, who would it be?” he questioned, with a confused look on his face.

“well, since you asked, ill do it.” you replied, biting back a small grin.

“you cant be serious.”

“it wont work if it’s not believable. why? am i not worthy of the king of jooshin?”

“that’s not what i’m saying,” rian scoffed. “i mean, i see your point, but this sounds like a plan b.” “looks like she’s gonna need a plan b pill with that scholarship kid if you don’t make a move.”

“fine. i’ll do it.”

it was nearly impossible to stop yourself from smiling as much as you did, but you managed to contain yourself (for the most part).

the next day initiated the first step of your plan to ‘help’ rian ‘win back’ jae-i.

step one. make it seem like you’re dating in front of everyone.

step two. the news goes school wide and it reaches jae-i

step three. jae-i realizes what she did and apologizes to rian so they get back together.

rian picked you up from your house so you could enter school together. but when you received a text from hera about how jae-i walked into school holding hands with the scholarship kid, you just had to let rian know. his blood almost boiled when you told him the news. he realized, he’d soon have to step up and try harder.

when you walked through jooshins entrance, hand in hand with rian, the news spread like a wildfire. even more than jae-i and the scholarship kid. your phone was blowing up with notifications from the schools gossip page.

with rian and woojin on the school football team, naturally, it meant you and hera would follow as cheerleaders.

“big game today, good luck.” you whispered to rian as you saw jae-i passing by, being extra sure to kiss his cheek when you knew she was looking. she subtlety rolled her eyes, before turning back around in the opposite direction to go towards the bleachers.

the game was nearing its end, and jooshin was 3 points down. but when woojin passed the ball to rian, he was determined to get a touchdown. he shoved and hurdled over any player who got in his way, taking all his previous anger and transferring it as motivation to get across the field.

nothing less of the expectations set for him, rian scored a touchdown, ultimately winning the game.

he ignores his clamoring teammates celebrating their victory, immediately going towards you. rian throws his helmet to the side and pulls you in by the waist, connecting your lips in a deep kiss.

you heard hera and woojin teasing you two in the background, but it didn’t seem to matter. in this moment, the moment you’ve fantasized about for oh so long, was here, and it was real. it was just you, and rian.

for a second, you felt that this wasn’t something to piss off jae-i. this was real. and rian felt the same way.

she doesnt know what to think of it. ragatha herself has come to terms with her position. like sure if there were a plan to escape that truly seemed like it would work, i think she would jump on it and try to leave.. i dont think she would pry you for answers, she believes you have your own personal reasons

honestly i dont think he would care, assuming this is as i said in the note above where the topic of escape comes up and you guys arent dating or like best friends. i mean its your life and hes not going to argue with you, if you wanna be stuck in this shithole thats your business. oddly enough doesnt use it as ammo against you, though, and he bullies everyone over just about anything... maybe he cant come up with a cool nickname that makes sense, or otherwise find a way to make fun of you... but. idk

tho speaking of which, there was smth that bugged me about the story, which is the part where the mysterious biker called the reader "nangfa (นางฟ้า)" not sure if you used google translate or smth else but by most interpretations, nangfa is fairy/pixie/goddess. i mean, it's applicable to angel, too, but it's not like... the most "right" ig????? if that even makes sense 😭💀 cuz i feel that thai language doesnt really have a direct translation for "angel" bc our language is derived/mixed from/with sanskrit, old khmer, pali, etc., which are languages heavily associated with buddhist scriptures. this is relevant bc in buddhism theres not really any "angels" rather than gods and goddesses (note that some sects do interpret them as angels but in mainstream/legitimized thai buddhism (Theravada) in thai language, they are called gods and goddesses), which means that the concept of angels doesnt really exist, but the closest to abrahamic angels we have are gods and goddesses. another thing is that nangfa has a feminine connotation, bc "nang" means mrs, so nangfa is literally sky woman. it might be a bit dysphoric since the reader is transmasc. tho i dont know the male equivalent of nangfa, never heard of one either personally even tho i lived in thailand for all of my life. mostly theyre just straight up called เทพบุตร (male gods) or เทวดา. also pretty sure mostly facebook incels flirt with girls using nangfa so that was mostly what threw me off 😭 if theyre not facebook incels, theyre just overdramatic, desperate, or old as hell (like 50+ 💀)

if u wanna change it after reading this (which u dont have to), there are some good choices such as "whanjai (sweetheart)," "baby (preferred by most younger thai couples)," "ที่รัก (thi rak -> my love)" ofc phi/p and nong are also good choices. if you want the reader/krist/mystery biker guy to have chinese ancestry (most common ethnic group in thailand), you can also use เฮีย "hiea" (older male) tho if youre interested in the usage of this word i can expand on that in another ask

have you never noticed on every headcam and troopers video you see online posted by a troopers member often includes them talking about how much they loved the season? how they talk with fellow corp members about how amazing it was?

when i went to a show recently, while looking at some troopers merch deciding what to buy a couple of people stopped next to me and stood there for a few minutes looking at the merch with me while commenting about how much they hated it. all i heard next to me while i was looking at their merch and buying their merch was "ewww troopers" "dude theyre so unoriginal" "i hate troopers omg"

like. ok maybe go look at someone elses fucking merch??? whats your issue actually? do you not see the several other dci merch stands here?? try looking at some?

“Oh, I am totally taking the top bunk, you can kiss my sugar coated ass!” You cheer, looking over your shoulder at Daryl as you climb up the ladder to the second bunk. Your best friend chuckles and shakes his head, dumping his bag on the second bunk.

“Back in a room with you again, as if the end o’ the world couldnt get any worse!” Daryl teases as he sits down on the bunk beneath you.

Gasping, you lean over your bunk to smack him in the head with a pillow.

“Hey, dont be an ass! I am your absolute favourite roommate!”

Daryl rolls his eyes. “Sure ya are.”

You lie back on your bunk with your arms behind your head, smiling up at the ceiling. “If you actually disliked me, Im sure you would’ve kicked me out of your tent, or off of your part of the farm - all this evidence is against you mister, you sure you wanna take this case to court?”

Daryl sighs in defeat. “Alright alright, I get it, I got a soft spot for ya.”

This was a statement that Daryl realised to be true the day he met you. Back at the quarry, while Daryl was out on a hunt, he found you wandering the woods all on your own. You had no weapons and barely any food or water in your bag. When he asked you how you’d made it that far, you smiled bigger than he’d seen anyone smile since the world changed, and you said “Just kept running!”

He led you back to the camp, and as soon as the two of you cleared the trees, Shane dropped whatever was in his hands and marched over, shaking his head.

“Naw, we dont jus’ let anyone stay here.”

Naturally, you had an immediate disliking to Shane, considering he barely glanced at you, let alone introduced himself. Your smile fell from your face, and you stayed quiet, not out of fear, but just to observe the situation for a little longer to figure out the dynamic of this group.

Daryl’s gestures to you. “I’ll take full responsibility for ‘er. She was out there completely by herself, she aint got nobody, ya shouldnt turn her away man.”

You smiled kindly at Daryl to thank him in a way that wouldnt disturb the conversation, and he nodded back at you in reply. Shane’s next words tore your smile from your face yet again.

“Oh, and I ‘spose her life’s been saved by some piece of shit redneck?” He seethed, taking a step closer to Daryl. It fascinated you that nobody else in the group tried to prevent this. Clearly Shane’s reign of aggression had everyone under submission, except for Daryl, and then, you.

You frowned, bravely standing slightly in front of Daryl. “Hey! Dont talk to him like that!”

Shane shook his head at you, laughing without humour. “Oh, naw, see you dont get to speak to me, you aint one of us!”

You throw your arms in the air, making big gestures as you let him have a piece of your mind. “I dont give a flying fuck if you consider me as part of your group, the fact is I’ve been here two whole minutes and in that time all you’ve done is act like an ass, and judging by the faces of everyone ‘round here, you make a habit of that, and that’s not okay! The world going to shit doesnt give you the right to think you own it, asshat. And if you could refrain from insulting Daryl - who has a name, in case all the hot air in your head made you forget - I’ll refrain from breaking your goddamn nose.”

The quarry fell silent, Daryl’s eyes had been locked on you from the moment you stepped out in front of him, and he was utterly hypnotised by you. Nobody had ever defended him like that.

Very slowly, Dale started to clap for you, then T-Dog and Glenn joined in.

Lori, Carol, Andrea and Any couldnt help smiling and laughing, a mixture of shock and of ‘serves him right’.

Shane was scowling at you. Dale raised his hand.

“I, for one, would like to vouch for this girl’s permanent residence!” He offered, throwing you a kind smile, which you gladly returned. “Who’s with me?” Dale called, and within a few seconds, everyone else in the group had an arm in the air.

Daryl walked to stand beside you, lifting his arm in the air to cast his vote before swinging it around your shoulders.

“Looks like yer outnumbered, go cry about it.” Daryl said to Shane childishly, making everyone laugh as he walked you back to his tent.

Ever since, the two of you have been inseparable. When Rick found the group, he actually assumed that you and Daryl had been dating since before the apocalypse, he was truly shocked to find out that you’d only known each other a couple of months, and you werent dating. You kept your word with Shane, and ended up breaking his nose on the farm after he made the mistake of insulting Daryl again. Considering how protective you got of Daryl, you were intending to break more than Shane’s nose, but you were pulled off him by none other Daryl Dixon himself, who took you away to calm you down and bandage your knuckles, while Rick calmed down Shane. Thankfully, it wasnt long before Shane was dead, and with him went the usual cause for your anger.

Now, things between you and Daryl are complicated in a way that is complicated to everyone except the two of you.

“Hey, Daryl?” You call down to him from your bunk after a few minutes of comfortable silence.

“Yeah?” Daryl replies, curious as to what random thought has popped into your head all of a sudden.

“You think now we’ve got a more solid place to stay, you’re gonna take me out to dinner?” You ask him, and Daryl is silent, waiting for something that he cant put words to. After a few lengthy seconds, you burst out laughing.

Daryl scoffs and pushes himself up to stand away from his bunk. “An’ ya call me an ass!”

You roll over onto your stomach you’re laughing so hard, while Daryl shakes his head and searches through his bag. He’s about to walk out of the cell, but you stop him.

“Hey! Where’d ya think you’re going?” You question.

“Anywhere away from you!” Daryl retorts sassily, turning around to look at you from the cell doorway.

You laugh, using your hand to beckon him back over, and he rolls his eyes but strolls back over to you. Daryl stands at your bunk, and you grab the back of his head to pull him close to you, kissing his forehead from your place on the top bunk.

Beaming at Daryl, you let go of him, and he scoffs, blushing and shaking his head.

“Love yooouuuu!” You call as he shuffles out of the cell.

“Yeah, whatever!” Daryl yells back, and you fall back onto your bed in fits of laughter again.

Nobody else could understand what it was between you and Daryl, but they didnt need to. You didnt need to put a name to it, a name makes it too simple, there’s no word to describe the adoration you two have for each other. The world has moved past the need for simplistic relationship titles. All that matters is that you are each other’s best friends, and each other’s sources of comfort, strength, and love. Even if nobody else understood your relationship, they couldnt deny that those things were true in everything you did for each other.

you watch him sternly, but end up bursting into tears bc youre so relieved he came out and admitted to his faults, and that theres hope for this relationship

youre bawling as he pulls you into his arms, and you confess that not going to see him and treating him coldly was the hardest thing youve ever done in your life

sukunas so relieved you still feel deeply for him, and simultaneously upset bc youre upset

you reveal that youve been feeling neglected, feeling like he only liked you for your body, and you too, apologise for not communicating that and acting sensitively instead

hes appalled, calls you an idiot but then retracts that statement and denies ever having thought in that way

the two of you snuggle up so close together in your bed, communicating and chatting and catching up for hours while he occasionally eyes the mountain of used tear-filled tissues in your room, rather concerned

for a while, he doesnt initiate sexual activity unless you specifically want it bc he wants to prove he likes spending quality time with you just as much <3

and when sex does eventually happen, he makes it very romantic and meaningful, with proper aftercare, continuously whispering “i love you,” throughout

You are walking with your boyfriend through the halls when he runs into cho, they both smile awkwardly at eachother and cho starts subtly flirting with him

At the other side of the hall is pansy and her boyfriend draco "see the scumbag doesnt deserve her, shes so nice dray" pansy coos about her crush, draco scoffs "so he just lets whats her name flirt with him while he has a perfectly gorgeous girl already? Pathetic"

Blaise walks over and throws his arm around pansy before kissing her temple "calm down babes, whats up?" he asks her when he sees her glare somewhere

"fucking pottah" draco spits making blaise roll his eyes "we get it you dont li-" "shut up, he has a beautiful girl but he still lets whats her face flirt with him, in front of his girl" draco interups blaise, blaise scoffs "that dickhead"

You start tugging on harry's arm, uncomfortable that hes flirting with the girl who also kissed your ex while he was with you "can we go haz? Please" you beg but he brushes you off "if you wanna leave you can go, im talking to cho cant you see that" he spits making you take a step back

Cho does look kinda pitying towards you but still keeps flirting with your boyfriend "look just go okay? Y/n End of discussion" he says

You finally reach your dorm and let yourself fall down on your bed, tears streaming down your face before you quickly wipe them, you get up again and put everything thats harry's in a box before storming back to where harry last was

When you approach the hallway its fully empty except for harry and a group of slytherins, you recognize them as the slytherin gang

"dont talk about her like that, y/n is fucking gorgeous, she was way too good for you" pansy spits out making your heart warm that shes defending you

"yeah well you look like a fucking pug and are a whore" harry retorts, draco glares before he takes out his wand and starts throwing hexes at harry

Harry starts whining about how its unfair even though its just him and draco fighting, draco yells out a spell you have never heard before and harry falls to the ground, his hand on his head "what the fuck" he yells out

Draco spits "there now your gonna be reminded of this moment everytime you look in the mirror"

Tom puts his hand on draco's shoulder before he nods at you, the rest of the group hasnt noticed you yet, you just put the box down and quickly run off

Mattheo turns to draco "was that girl a friend of pansy's?" he asks referring to harry's ex, draco just pretends he doesnt know not wanting to force pansy to talk about her complicated feelings for the hufflepuff girl

A week later

Pansy smiles as she puts a silencing spell on the door to y/n's dorm and a spell that will blast a alarm ten minutes after class has started assuring that she will be late, when pansy goes to class she makes her boyfriends sit else where

Draco smirks knowing that she is finally ready to make a move, pansy feels kind of bad for making y/n late but she didnt know what else to do, she thinks back to how mattheo hexed her dorm so she would have to sit next to him and he could get to know her better

This will be worth it for the end goal

dumb shit, mostly logan/virgil related, no one is surprised

so, before virgil turns into a puppet, roman say's he's a chicken if he doesn't, ya know, standard roman stuff, but it's what thomas says in response afterwards that's getting me.

"Stop, Roman, only if he wants to."

thomas acknowledges virgil's boundaries and repects them.

but when LOGAN doesnt want to do it- everyone starts pressuring him. they make fun of him, to the point that he gets so mad that he infamously throws the paper at puppet roman. the only reason they stop is because thomas says he can be one of the human friends (like Maria).

basically, "only if he wants to" for virgil turns into "you're participating in this even if you already said you dont like it and would rather leave." for logan-

UNTIL the end when roman suggests it again.. and virgil says "Only if you want to." Virgil is the only one to acknowledge his boundaries and respect his wishes

just thoughts as im watching

this boils down to, "this shows that you've been ignoring me, which directly harms you, which is what I was trying to say before you interrupted me"

basically, logan was trying to tell thomas that a big part of the problem was that he wasn't being listened to, and is being talked over as he's saying it. fuckin hell

and virgil's part afterward

"you're lost. it's okay. i was lost once, too, but thanks to all of you, life sucks less now/no one wants to be a joke-"

lets get into this:

"you're lost. it's okay" virgil's acknowledging that logan doesn't feel like he has a place with the group, like he's lost, nd letting him know that it's alright. logan, of course, takes this literally, but i think that's what he was trying to do

"i was lost once, too" he felt the same way logan does now, and he's showing him that it can get better

"but thanks to all of you, life sucks less now" i wanna focus on the all of you. he's including logan in that. he's saying, "you guys helped me out of that, and im happier now" and saying to logan that logan helped make his life better. it's only thomas, roman, and patton that respond with "we're your best pals" which can be taken a couple different ways. maybe logan didnt say it because he was caught off guard by virgil's statements. maybe he didnt say it because he doesnt feel like hes a part of the reason virgils life sucks less now, or doesnt feel like one of his "best pals". or maybe he just didnt want to sing. or maybe a mixture of all three. take that as you will

"no one wants to be a joke" here's the kicker- hes saying that logans feelings about being taken seriously and respected are valid, which is a huge difference from the way everyone reacted earlier on (including virgil).

and then he got cut off. that obviously wasnt the last of what he wanted to say, you can see it by his reaction when he's interrupted, he looks shocked.

"but a life free of jokes is incomplete" this isnt reassuring in the slightest. that seems to confirm that they do see him as a joke, the exact opposite of what virgil was trying to say. i really really want to know what he was going to say there, because that was not at all what logan needed to hear
