My only hope with sharing them is; if it's able to help even a fraction of these people, that's enough. That's why I'm doing the minimum of just sharing.
#cheea chatter#if you're the person that reached out to me about it i sincerely apologize for my curt response#i shouldve taken the time to explain it better even if it was private hence this post#yet another serious psa... im gonna stop responding to these for a while

masterlist
이희승 | Heeseung
Immediately after Heeseung raised his voice at you, he regretted it. He approached you slowly like you were an angry lion. Slowly, he wrapped a gentle arm around your waist. He was quickly swatted away though. A look of shock washed over his face; eyes wide and lips slightly parted. Being cocky enough to try again earned him another slap on the arm. His lips press into a straight line. He grabbed hold of your wrist to restrain you from hitting him again. Before you could resist, his other hand was on your waist, pulling you towards him. His lips crashed onto yours and you couldn't resist kissing your precious boyfriend back. Heeseung whispered against your lips about how sorry he was and how much he loved you.
박종성 | Jongseong
You turned away from Jay, tears pricking your eyes. It was typical for him to be a bit irritable after a long day but he was pretty good at not taking out his frustration on you. Today, though, he had lashed out and yelled at you. The regret hit him as soon as you turned your back to him and he could hear small sniffles from you. His legs felt like jelly as he began to walk toward you. Jay's arms wrapped tightly around your waist as he dipped his head down into the crook of your neck. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, baby." he whispered, muffled from nuzzling into your neck. "I'll never yell at you ever again, I promise." he said, kissing your neck in between words.
심재윤 | Jaeyun
Jake wasn't one to get easily upset and definitely no one to yell but today something in him made him more upset than usual. He was pissed off and ended up shouting at you, ending in you storming out of your apartment. Now you were in your own living room sulking about it. You heard a knock, making you groan as you slowly dragged your feet to the door. As soon as the door knob was turned, the person on the other side slammed it open. There was Jake with several snack filled shopping bags in his arms. He knew that snacks always made you feel better. "Damn it, I had a whole apology speech but you're so pretty that I forgot it already." The bags were dropped to the floor as Jake attacked you with a huge bear hug.
박성훈 | Sunghoon
You turned your back to him, folding your arms across your chest. He placed a hand on your waist, attempting to hug you from behind. "Wait, baby I'm sorry. Don't-" He was cut off by you walking away from him. His eyes widened before he began to chase after you. Sunghoon reached out to grab the back of your shirt but you shook your shoulders, releasing yourself from his grip. He tried again and again but somehow you were a pro escape artist. He resorted to grabbing your hair to stop you. You winced and turned around to try to escape. Just what he wanted you to do. He quickly pulled you toward him, placing his lips on yours. His hand was tangled in your hair as he apologized over and over again between kisses.
김선우 | Sunoo
"I'm.. I'm really sorry." Sunoo whispered with sincerity in his tone. You ignored him though. "Hey. Are you listening to me?" He asked, poking at your cheeks. He cupped your face and put his own face super close to yours. Then he scrunched his eyebrows together as his lips curled into a pout. "Ya, answer me. I said I'm sorry and I meant it." All you did was avert your eyes, causing him to grumble. "Fine. Then I'm going to be unresistably cute until you forgive me." He grabbed your face and turned it towards as his lips formed a thin smile. You couldn't hide the smile tugging at the corners of your mouth. As soon as he saw your smile, he cheered and hugged you tightly.
양정원 | Jungwon
"Oh shit-" he gasped, slapping a hand over his mouth. "I'm sorry, my love. I- I didn't mean that." Jungwons voice trembled as he reached for you, only to be met by your shocked expression. He bit his lip, trying to hold back the tears forming in his eyes. He was even more upset at his own actions than you were. "Angel? Will you please forgive me?" He whispered, hooking his fingers on the belt loops of your pants. He pulled you close to his body and placed a soft kiss on your lips. Then he began kissing all over your face, followed by an apology every time.
니키 | Niki
You furrowed your eyebrows after Niki had finished yelling at you. His ears turned red like they always do when he's ashamed. "Fuck, I'm sorry. You know i would never-" You cut him off by telling him to shut up. His mood changed like a switch as his tongue poked the inside of his cheek. "Alright, fine." His fist clenched before he threw a punch that landed just inches from your face. But for some reason it had just missed you. Out of pure instinct, you threw a punch back, hitting him in the stomach. You gasped, putting a hand up to your mouth in shock at what you did. "Nice punch, baby. Feel better now?" Then you remembered that he had told you once to just hit him if you were upset with him. "O-oh... yeah.."

sensitive
✧ sunday x gn!reader
✧ synopsis: the wings by his ears are far too sensitive for what you're both about to do to them.
✧ contents: just a lil scenario for the piercings on sunday's wings. and the hc (that has probs become every writers canon take) that his wings are oh so sensitive. established relationship, mildly suggestive cause why not, uhh, mentions of blood? sunday being utterly weak against his lover. ooc sunday cause goddamn i have NOTHING on this man.
✧ a/n: breathes in. listen i don't believe in any god but good lord i would start praying for this man if he asked me to.
jing yuan wips still in order, i just want to be on my best self mentally when writing for my eepy general so have this brainrot so i can function this week at my work and hopefully i'll write something more <3 thank you once again for your patience!
NOT BETA-READ THIS WAS WRITTEN WITHIN AN HOUR CAUSE THIS BRAINROT HAS BEEN BREWING INSIDE THE MIND FOR A MONTH, IM SORRY FOR THE ALL OVER THE PLACE WORDS - I HAVEN'T WRITTEN SINCE THE LAST JING YUAN ANGST PIECE.
Your fingertips have barely grazed the very edges of the feathers when the distinguished leader beneath you flinches in surprise. The fingers that grip your hips tightening further which causes your body that was previously hovering above him to settle down on Sunday's leg. You can hear a tiny sigh leaving his lips before you feel his head rest against your shoulder, the action causing you to chuckle.
"The longer you delay this, the more nervous you'll get, you know?" you muse, threading your fingers through his hair in an effort to coax him to lay back in the same position he previously was in. You're barely able to touch his right wing again before a gloved hand shoots up from his side and you feel a sharp nip at your neck in warning - causing you to immediately halt all of your actions.
"It would've gone a lot faster have you decided to not do it in such an orthodox method, dear." Sunday retaliates with a sigh, pecking the bite mark as some sort of apology, an apology that you knew was not sincere in the slightest.
You giggle once again, settling down comfortably on his legs whilst slightly leaning back to fully look at your lover. Your arms loop over his neck while cocking your head to the side in slight confusion, although said confusion doesn't reach your mischievous eyes or the huge grin on your face. "Why I thought this would help calm you? It was your idea to pierce these wings of yours after all," you remind him, tapping the piercing gun that you're currently holding onto on his shoulder.
The man before you sighs, seemingly in exasperation over your usual antics whilst shrugging away the piercing gun that you're continuously tapping him with. You can however clearly see the slight reddening on top of his ears, while his wings tuck a bit behind his ears - clearly a signal that he's feeling a bit embarrassed.
"You're well aware of the effect you have on me, my love." he admits, the hand on your hip moving from its spot to instead rest against your neck. "Hmm? Then I suggest that you hurry along to let me pierce your wings before said effect makes you lose your patience," you tease with a quiet laugh. "I do have a lot of experience with this lil' gun of ours after all." you cheekily say - causing Sunday to direct his gaze towards your own ears, which have a few more piercings than your average person.
"... I'm well aware." Sunday replies.
Well aware of how sensitive your own ears are, almost as sensitive as his own wings that have yet to be pierced. He could let out a breath beside them which causes you to tremble, a small peck would make you gasp softly, but if he were to use his tongue-
"You're thinking of inappropriate things again, dear." you mutter into his ears before unlooping your arms from his neck to rest against your sides, your whole weight supported by the singular hand Sunday has on your hip.
"Hardly."
For someone not of Halovian descent, you're somehow able to discern his thoughts immediately - quite a hassle to be honst.
"Well then, my dear? Why don't you relax so we can get this over with so you can return to your duties?" you whisper, moving your body to sit between his legs so that you can get a closer look on his right wing, where he preferred the piercing to be on.
"... Just- don't say anything when you're about to do- Ah!"
The single clicking noise of the needle piercing his wing before retracting back to it's original spot makes Sunday jolt in surprise, the grip on your hip increasing in pressure, but you're too busy looking at the placement in glee to care for your distraught lover right now.
You notice the edges of the piercing reddening a bit, extending your finger to gather the tiny bits of blood that had escaped from the wound. Glancing at Sunday, you notice his slightly glossy eyes that immediately diverts from your gaze.
The quiet laugh you let out makes Sunday glare at you, but his eyes widen slightly when you lick his blood away from your fingertips with closed eyes. "It wasn't that bad, was it?" you ask, opening your eyes again to lock eyes with Sunday, diverting your gaze slightly to his right wing.
You decide not to comment on his glossy eyes, deciding to instead scoot closer to peck the corner of his eyes, "Sorry that I surprised you, but as you said - Doing it this way is far more convenient for the both of us," you explain, lips pressing against Sunday's to coax him into relaxation.
"Mhm, thank you for indulging me, dove." he whispers, arms wrapping around your waist, the tension in his shoulders finally leaving.
"Although..." you murmur in between various pecks against Sunday's lips, your lover raising an eyebrow up in confusion and imploring you to continue speaking.
"I think you said you would go for 2 of the same piercings if the first one looked nice, no?" you say before pressing your lips against his once again. Sunday was barely able to understand the meaning behind your words before he could feel the same pain of the needle shoot through his already overly-sensitive wing.
The loud gasp he lets out is swallowed by your lips, his open mouth letting your tongue slip inside while the piercing gun in your hand slips away from your lips now that you've done your part of the deal. Your hands settle themselves against Sunday's cheeks now- wiping away the few tears that have now slipped down from his glossy eyes with your thumb.
There's a certain desperation in Sunday's hands by your waist. He had first bunched the material of your clothes upwards by surprise, but now he's slipping his gloved hands beneath them and quickly traveling further up - he moves in a way that you don't know if he's trying to push you away to scold you, or press you closer to him to feel your warmth.
He eventually decides to push you away. His cheeks are reddened and he's heaving for breaths while he's glaring down at you in mild disappointment and a hint of excitement - and yet the hands that's dragging the buttons of your shirt from inside to snap them open tells another desire from the esteemed leader of Penacony.
The same mischievous smile is present on your lips when you part ways, your lips are a bit swollen but it doesn't stop their journey from grazing against his now incredibly sensitive right wing, the jerk of his entire body not bothering you in the slightest as your lips glide over his feathers, your lover shuddering a bit when you let out a breath right over his newly pierced wings.
"All done now, my love," you mutter into his ear, shrugging off your now ruined shirt off of one shoulder, "Do I get any reward for doing this so smoothly and quickly?"
Sunday lets out a scoff, rolling his eyes at your triumphant expression before shoving you down onto the couch the two of you were previously resting on. "I'm thinking a punishment is more fitting for how you didn't warn me of your actions twice, no?"

THE SOUND OF YOUR CHATTER ; mattheo riddle
HARRY POTTER MASTERLIST!
© ahqkas — all rights reserved. even when credited, these works are prohibited to be reposted, translated or modified
THE SHIFT IN YOUR BEHAVIOR DIDN’T ESCAPE MATTHEO’S NOTICE. He had always admired the way your words flowed effortlessly through your lips, filling the air with stories, jokes, and musings. Your voice had a way of brightening even the dullest days of his days, and he found comfort in the sound of your laughter and the tones of your speech. But lately, an unsettling silence had taken its place, and Mattheo couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
It all began a few days ago during lunch. You had been animatedly recounting a funny incident from Potions class when a sharp voice cut through your story. "Do you ever stop talking? You're so annoying."
The words had hit you like a slap, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment. The table fell silent, and you quickly lowered your gaze, mumbling an apology. From that moment on, a heavy cloud of self-doubt settled over you, stifling your usual chatter.
Mattheo watched as you retreated into yourself, your once lively soul replaced by a disconcerting quiet. He missed the way you used to fill the gaps in conversation, the way you could turn any boring moment into something special with your words. Now, you spoke only when spoken to, your sentences clipped and your tone subdued. It irked your boyfriend to no end, he missed his talkative lover.
One evening, as you sat together in the common room, Mattheo couldn't take it anymore. He moved closer to you on the couch, his eyes filled with concern as his knee bumped into yours. "Hey, can we talk for a minute?"
You glanced up at him from your book, a hint of apprehension in your eyes. "Sure, what's up?"
He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I've noticed you've been really quiet lately. Did something happen?"
You hesitated, the memory of the harsh words still fresh in your mind. "It's nothing. I just . . . don't want to be annoying."
Mattheo's heart ached at your admission. He reached out, gently taking your hand in his and intertwining your fingers together in an embrace. "You're not annoying, love. Not to me, not to anyone who really cares about you."
Tears welled up in your eyes as you looked at him, his sincerity breaking through the walls you had built around yourself. "But someone said —"
"I don't care what anyone else said," Mattheo interrupted softly. And he was sincere with you. Always. No one’s opinion about you mattered to him, only his own. He knew how to throw fists, after all. "I miss hearing your pretty voice."
You blinked back the tears, a soft smile tugging at your lips upon hearing his thoughts. "Really?"
"Really," he affirmed, squeezing your hand. "I love hearing you talk. Your stories, your thoughts, your laughter . . . they mean the world to me. Don't let one twat’s rudeness take that away from me. Or I’ll fight for you, princess, oh I will.”
You felt a warmth spread through your chest, the weight of your fears lifting ever so slightly. "Thank you, Mattheo. I needed to hear that."
He smiled, his brown irises shining with affection towards you and mischief. "Anytime. Now, why don't you tell me about that Potions incident you haven’t finished earlier? I could use a good laugh."
With his encouragement, you began to speak again, your words gaining strength and confidence with each passing moment. And as the evening wore on, the common room filled once more with the sound of your voice, a melody that Mattheo cherished more than anything in the world.

KNY HCs - A Surprise Kiss! Part 2
Prompt: You give them a kiss unexpectedly; how do they react, when they like you back?
A/N- Next part is here!!! Sorry i struggled to get this part out. This part includes Genya, Nezuko, Obanai, Mitsuri, Gyomei, Tengen, and Muichiro. Let me know if you guys would be interested in a part featuring demons (especially Upper Moons and whatnot). Anyways, this was really fun! Please enjoy! 💗💗💗
Content warning: some implied steaminess for some of the Hashira, and spoilers for the newest season (Sword Village). Proceed with caution if you haven't watched/read ahead! 💀💗💀
Genya
He has a hard time around people who are typically femme, but it literally wouldn't matter who or what you were: because you're still his type.
The second you get within 5 ft, he's blushing. The second you touch, his veins are gonna burst in his skull. The second that touch becomes a kiss...
Genya.exe has stopped working.
He is absolutely stunned into silence. He makes no move to continue the kiss or move away. But you seem to be able to tell that he didn't mind it. Not ONE bit.
You would take his hand, apologize for being too forward, and probably make yourself scarce around him. You figure this would be best if you really did overwhelm him.
It would take quite a few days, but similar to Sanemi, he confronts you head on. Whether it's grabbing you by your haori, or slamming his arms on either side of your head... Hes got you trapped. Even though his face is still BEET red...
"I-I don't understand yet... wh-why you'd do that to a guy like me... but..." He would hesitate for a moment, before planting a kiss on your cheek.
" But... I'll try... to become a guy worthy of your kiss."
Even if you try and reassure him, or persuade him into thinking he's a million bucks, he will go over the moon to impress you, protect you, etc. He wants to be better than what you want him to be: he wants to be your equal.
And while it certainly takes him a while to loosen up, his kisses are some of the sweetest and most sincere. He would try to hold your face, every time. He would never truly want to let you go of you and your warm cheeks.
Nezuko
"Hmmm...~ Hmm-hmmm-- mmm?"
Nezuko, who is humming and fixing her hair, is surprised when you kiss her. She'd blink a few times, her cheeks glistening with a rosy blush. She still struggles with most words, but smiles warmly to you.
"Th...tha...! Thank... you... Y/...N-san!"
You practically scream with delight. This would be the first time you heard her say your name!!!
Like many humans, Nezuko is very protective of you. But you find that she hovers around you a little more recentky, similar to how she treats Tanjiro. Almost as if you're a guide, interpreter, or just a person she can confide in, she'll often reach out to be near you. Whether it's holding your pinky with hers, tugging on your haori, or even grabbing your hand, she likes to stay in close proximity, especially if she can make physical connection with you somehow.
She sometimes struggles (mentally) with being close to you, especially in fear that her fangs may injure you, but her kisses are short and sincere. Similar to Shinobu, she would kiss you most anywhere but your lips publically... but every once in a while, you're blessed with direct kisses.
"T...thank goodness... Y-You like me too... Y/N-san...!
Obanai
Eyes narrowed with steely focus, he would be absorbed in his work, or freshly sheathing his sword. You roughly grasp him by the collar, forcing him to finally look your way.
"What is it you're doi--mmphm?!"
When do you finally get him to shut up? ONLY when you're kissing him. Even with a kiss over his bandages, Obanai flushes vividly, pushing you away. He turns away, checking his bandages hastily.
"NEVER surprise me like that!! You're lucky I didn't have a chance to react properly...!" You were about to apologize, when you see his shoulders relax," hah.... the bandages didn't move, after all..." The relief that floods his voice almost makes you want to cry. You were trying not to pity him, knowing he had his reasons to hide his face. But you wish he didn't feel the desire to keep those bandages on... or better yet, the shame he felt when they came off.
You place a hand on his shoulder, making him tense up.
"Obanai... next time I kiss you... if you're okay with it, i... I wouldn't mind it if it were without your bandages on."
That statement alone has him wide eyed, staring at you with disbelief," I... I don't..." For once, his stoic expression and tone is replaced with one of unease and uncertainty.
"I... I don't know if I'm ready for... that..." he would admit quietly," But... I appreciate the sentiment. I truly do."
You'd smile up/down to him, and place a kiss on his cheek instead," Whenever you're ready. I could wait a thousand years, if you'd have me..." Obanai squints at you, bluntly replying," We'd both be dead by then..."
You smile, winking," Then in the next life, maybe?"
Obanai would flush quietly as you'd walk away, reaching up to gently press the spot you last kissed him at,"... I see... maybe so, Y/N-san... Maybe so...."
BLESS you, if you ever do kiss him without his bandages on. Though his scars may have surprised you at first, it doesn't affect how sweet or chaste his kisses are. And once you receive them in earnest, they never stop...
Oh, and the over protectiveness with you? Multiply it by 20. People aren't allowed to breathe the same air you do unless he allows it. And your missions, from henceforth, are either accompanied with or monitored by himself or Mitsuri. Almost NO exceptions.
Mitsuri
"Y/N! Y/N! Look here, look here!!" Surely, Kanroji has something absolutely adorable to show you. You turn to her quickly, pushing your hair back out of your face.
"What is it, Kanroj--"
The both of you turned too quickly, causing your lips to meet in the middle. Immediately, the two of you pull away from the other. Mitsuri whines, bowing her head rapidly.
"Sorry, sorry, I'm sorry!!! I-I didn't mean to!!"
You have to grasp Mitsuri by her shoulders, before she listens to you again," Kanroji-san!!! It's okay, I promise!!! W-We're friends, after all... accidents happen."
Mitsuri's expression changes slightly, her lip quivering," R-Right... friends..."
You go back to your task at hand, not picking up on her disheartened cue. You notice her squirming beside you after a few moments, making you concerned.
"Mitsuri? Are you ok--"
Your lips meet again. This time... on purpose. Mitsuri clasps your cheeks with both hands, planting a fat kiss on your lips, before pulling away.
"Th-There!!! That one wasn't an accident!!! And that's going to be the first of many... I-- I--! Aaaahh, I don't want to just be friends, Y/Nnnnnn!!! Not anymore!!!" Mitsuri basically wails, making you smile sweetly.
You lean over again to kiss her, soothing her mild tantrum if only for a moment," I dont think I want to be 'just friends' either, Mitsuri... so we're partners now. Okay?"
Mitsuri would nod rapidly, mentally swearing herself to you, for protection and for marriage," Deal!!!!"
She's already planning your wedding. She hints at what kind of ceremony she prefers, or flowers she'd like to have in her decore... little does she know, you've already been saving up for something big... maybe her birthday could double as your wedding day?
But for now, that's wishful thinking. For now, you're quite alright with sneaking quick, heated kisses before major missions, and cuddling your tired, full partner after she gorges on her favorite food.
Neither of you mind. But the both of you know that you're actively working towards a future where there's more to your relationship than sweet kisses and embraces.
Gyomei
In a deep, meditative state, Gyomei sat practically motionless as you quietly approached him. Due to this, he hadn't heard you or your sweet giggles are you inched closer. You had always been his number one, secret admirer... and seeing him so content and serene made you want to kiss him. He just looked so beautiful, dangit!
Even with him sat before you, Gyomei was MUCH larger than you... but no matter!
Nimbly, you were able to wiggle closer, admiring the calm breathing of the Stone Pillar. It wasn't until you brushed your lips against his that his eyes instinctively fluttered open. As if from a deep slumber, Gyomei blinks a few times, dazed," Oh... I'm sorry, is this... Y/N?"
You nod and hum, knowing he knew your voice all too well," Guilty as charged~" Gyomei's eyes watered as he heard a genuine, airy laugh leave you, his hands folding neatly into his lap.
"Ahh... so the pining wasn't one sided, after all...," Gyomei sighs, as if relieved. You blink and audibly swallow, your face heating up.
"I-I guess not, Gyomei-san," you reply in surprise, reaching your hand down to brush a stray tear from his cheek. Had you known he had liked you back, you would have kissed him MUCH sooner...
Gyomei smiles brilliantly, tilting his head up as if to look at you,"... if that is the case, my friend... if you don't mind, I'd like you to join me by my side."
You have to calm yourself down as he pats the space beside him. You take him up his request, sitting and scooting closer until your knee bumped his. You feel a large, warm arm wrap around you, pulling you closer until your head was against his chest. Your face burned as Gyomei chuckled.
"...thank you for taking the initiative, Y/N-san. I admire your forwardness. I just wish I could have made that first kiss more..."
"Special?" You finished, Gyomei nodding back quietly.
"W-Well, that's okay-- I already feel like kissing you, on its own, is very special. But..." You sit up, before crawling into his lap. Gyomei would tense up, flushing as a coy grin makes it way to your face.
"I think we can make the next kiss particularly special... if you'll have me."
Gyomei couldnt reply verbally, as the impulse to kiss you tenderly overshadowed the flowery words and praise he wanted to give you.
His kisses were many, and they would be mostly reserved for your cheeks and temples. But most of all, your kisses would be an assured way to make his heart race. Due to his blindness, kisses feel electrifying to him. Making your kisses together all the more special and intimate for him. He loves you to bits, and would never pass up on a chance to engage with you, especially through touches and those sweet, featherlight kisses. Even if others may be close by...~
Tengen
Little to anyone's surprise, Tengen is a HUGE flirt. It didn't matter if it was a stranger or his bestie Rengoku: he would relentlessly do and say things that would tetter on raunchy or sappy. This, however, was something you were used to. And at times, you'd welcome it.
Tengen, many times, had made jokes about you becoming his fourth spouse. Quote him: "Afterall, who said polygamy had a 4 person limit~?"
You'd normally roll your eyes, and playfully shove him, not knowing what his other spouses thought of you. But after getting to know him more, and even being over to his estate a few times, the jokes felt more... sincere. As if he were wanting to propose more properly.
So finally, after a particularly rough Hashira meeting, Tengen would look at you again, with a serene look in his eyes," ...Y'know, Y/N... if you ever considered settling down more properly, or commitment in general... I think you'd make a really good spouse. The others think so, too." He would grin, nudging you playfully," Theres always room for one more, yknow~ "
And, after a few quiet moments, you hadn't yet replied. No shoving, no tickling, just... a heavy sigh. Tengen starts to worry he offended you... until you pull him down/up for a kiss.
Tengen, being the good man he is, immediately leans into it, eyes closing on their own. When you finally decide to part for air, you're absolutely beaming.
"Well, while I can't accept your 'proposal' without the others consent... I wouldn't mind being courted. Normally, yknow..." Tengen looks practically speechless, as your arms snake around to hang on his neck.
" How about we start slow... maybe dinner at your place, next time we meet? Im sure the 5 of us have a lot to talk about before we take it too far..."
Tengen, surprised that his forwardness may have actually paid off, smiles tenderly. He pulls away from you, only to take one of your hands. He guides it to his lips and kisses you knuckles, running his thumb in circles along your warm skin.
"Suma, Hina, Makio, and I... we'd be honored, Y/N. Let's shoot for next weekend, then."
Muichiro
"Huh...? What did you want to see me about, again?" Mui would probe, following behind you.
"I-I just wanted to go somewhere more private, to tell you something." You'd reply evenly, a steady blush spreading across your face.
"Is that so... lead the way then, Y... ahh, sorry, Y/N-san." You roll your eyes. Surely he hadn't forgotten your name so easily. Maybe he was teasing you?
As you finally get to a more private area, you turn towards him, face heated," Muichiro... I have to say it."
The mist hashira would look to you, eyes widening," Ahh... did I forget something again...? Sorry... I still struggle... even now, i guess," he would admit, making your knitted brows soften.
"N-No... you didn't forget anything... but..." You lean forward, trying to kiss him on the cheek, before he recoils quickly. You blink in surprise, face twisting in regret. Oh shit... so you were rejected huh... You can't muster any words as he looks at you, bewildered.
"...were you trying to kiss me?"
You were flustered, assuming your hunch was correct, but you nod shamefully. Then, Muichiro pulls you in by your wrist, placing a soft kiss to your lips. You gasp, taken by surprise even as Muichiro lets you go.
"...sorry... I feel like I would be able to treasure your kiss better... if I initiated it. I hope that's alright with you."
The both of you are perfectly flush now, but you smile warmly back to him, pulling him in for a hug," Well, if you ever forget... I can always kiss you again?" Muichiro would have an idea, leaning his head on your shoulder," Mmm... I think I'm in need of a reminder."

Apology and Affection
Pairing: Niki x reader 🍓MASTERLIST
Genre: fluff
Wc: 641
Synopsis: niki was teasingly telling jake abt how clingy you are and you overheard it leaving you upset. noticing this niki decides to make it up to you.
a/n: this is saur cute really. tyyyy anon, u too, take care and stay safe! 💋💋🩷💕
Niki knew he messed up today when he told Jake about you, telling him that even though you are adorable, you get too clingy and into his personal space making him annoyed and calling you needy. But unbeknownst to him, you heard everything, breaking down each time you whatever he said rings in your head. It broke his heart watching you lay in bed all day, eyes dull with hurt. So now he was going to do whatever to make it up to you. “hi baby,” he said, sitting next to you on the bed and wrapping his arm around your shoulder. you just shrugged and swatted his hand off. He paused before placing his chin on your shoulder, watching you get annoyed and scoot away. He watched as you got out of the bed, taking a pillow and blanket and going to the living room. His heart sank as he kept his arm on where you used to lay. And now he REALLY messed up. He got out of the bed and followed you into the living room like a cat following it’s owner. Approaching her gently, Niki knelt beside the couch, his heart filled with regret. "Hey love," he said softly, reaching out to brush a stray strand of hair from your face. "I'm really sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't mean to hurt you." You looked up at him, your eyes still moist with unshed tears. "It's okay," you murmured, though your voice trembled slightly. "No, it's not okay," he insisted, his tone filled with genuine concern. "I should never have said that, even as a joke. I love you just the way you are, and I never want to make you feel bad about yourself." Your expression softened as you listened to Niki. You could see the sincerity in his eyes, and it warmed your heart. "I just... I don't want to be a burden to you," you admitted quietly. Niki shook his head gently. "You're not a burden, love. You're my favorite person in the world," he said, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "And besides, a little clinginess is just a sign of how much you love me, right?" You couldn't help but smile at his attempt to lighten the mood. "I do love you," you said softly, your eyes meeting his. "I love you too, more than words can express," Niki replied, leaning in to kiss your forehead tenderly. As you sat together on the couch, Niki started to tickle your sides gently, eliciting a surprised squeal from you. Laughter filled the room as you playfully teased each other, the tension from earlier dissipating with each shared giggle. "You're lucky I love you," Eunkyung teased, poking Niki's cheek playfully. He grinned. "And you're lucky I'm such a good boyfriend," he retorted, giving you a mock stern look before bursting into laughter again. Your playful banter continued, turning the atmosphere from somber to light-hearted. Niki made silly faces and told funny stories, doing everything he could to see you smile again. "I promise to be more mindful of what I say in the future," Niki said sincerely, his eyes locking with yours. "And I'll always be here to comfort you whenever you're upset, no matter what." You nodded, feeling grateful for Niki's understanding and love. "I know, and I appreciate that more than anything," you said, snuggling closer to him. As you cuddled on the couch, basking in the warmth of each other's presence, Niki whispered sweet words of reassurance and affection into your ear. You closed your eyes, feeling a sense of love wash over. In that moment, you both knew that misunderstandings were a part of any relationship, but what truly mattered was how you handled them together, with love, understanding, and a healthy dose of playfulness.

Special Delivery
Based on this very patient nonnie’s requests: “I was thinking about Steven Grant x male reader. Like something very and super fluff with him, cause I love him so much and I love fluff stuff with him” Original asks here, here , and here - tysm nonnie!
Summary: You're making a delivery to the museum's gift shop and the cutest gift shop clerk has to sign for it (It's Steven, of course)
Pairing: Steven Grant x m!reader
Word Count: 724
Content: fluff, flirting, meet cute, not beta'd
☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚
“Stevie, if I have to ask you one more time to answer the back door bell, I swear I’ll take the shipping fare out of your paycheck.”
Steven’s entire body tenses as his supervisor’s grating voice echoes across the museum gift shop.
“Right. On it, boss,” he amicably musters with a cheesy mock salute, grumbling a curse under his breath as he shuffles off the sales floor, through the swinging door marked “Employees Only”. Rummaging around for his keys, he groans as the bell rings again, signaling what’s likely to be an impatient and possibly rude delivery person.
“Just a moment,” he sighs, checking each and every pocket for his keys, hopelessly tossing his dark curls out of his eyes as he finally produces his keyring. “Could’ve sworn I left those in my jacket,” he murmurs, attempting to remember the past twenty-four hours, vaguely realizing he could not, in fact, remember much at all.
Then the bell trills again - insistently. One, two, three times in a row.
“All right, hold your bloody horses…” Steven trails off, yanking the door open, eyes going wide at the sight of you.
Dressed smartly in your delivery uniform, you chomp on your gum, reaching up to cheekily tip your cap to the flustered gift shop clerk.
“Doorbell broken?” You casually ask, popping your gum. “Must’ve rung half a dozen times.”
“So sorry,” Steven rushes to apologize. “Bit of trouble finding my keys. Come right in.”
You chuckle warmly, rather than condescendingly, as the shorter (and very cute) man reaches for a box to help you unload.
“You know, they pay me to do that, mate.” The corner of your mouth curls as his bright brown eyes go wide.
“Oh god, sorry. Wouldn’t want to break anything.” Steven almost jumps back, pulling his hands closely to his chest - a gesture so adorable your heart trips over itself. “Just wanted to help, is all,” he adds.
“Appreciate it,” you sincerely reply, but…noticing the rosy hue creeping across his cheeks, you chance a wink, nodding down at his name tag. “Steven.”
“With a V,” he chuckles, a bit flustered. “Steven with a V. That’s me.”
“I see that,” you smirk, pointing, once again to his name tag. “Can’t really make deliveries if I can’t read now, can I?”
The thing is - everyone calls Steven the wrong name. Everyone. Stevie, Scotty, ‘hey you!’ The fact that you read his name tag and winked... Maybe you winked?
Steven probably imagined that. "Right, em, guess I'll get out of your way then." He makes a circular motion with his hand. "Sure you have a whole system going. Sorry to bother."
"No bother," you shake your head, expertly offloading a huge palate of shipment with astonishing ease.
Steven wets his lips at the way your uniform shirt fits your arms and chest. "Must be new here..." He finds himself murmuring.
"What's that?" You pause, slinging your arm over your dolly full of boxes.
"Oh, em, haven't seen you 'round. Must be new," Steven repeats, snapping out of his distracted stare. Returning the favor, he reads your name from your uniform shirt tag.
"New route," you explain, pivoting the dolly up with your foot, ready to move it again, but you pause - eyes raking over Steven's adorably hunched body. A mess of dark curls, and purple circles under eyes with secrets and stories to tell. Hands with long, lovely fingers drawn carefully to his chest. Still...he's handsome. And kind.
To most people, you're invisible. But Steven's noticed you. "Gotta say. I like the view." With another well-timed wink, you chomp your gum and carry on with your task.
Once you finish, you have the gift shoppist electronically sign your tablet. "I will see you later, Steven with a V." You smile warmly.
"Every Monday and Thursday!" He exuberantly quotes the delivery schedule to you, as if you aren't aware.
"All right. Thursday then." Pulling your work glove off your hand, you take a chance, crossing over the line of professionalism. "Nice to meet you...Steven." You extend your hand for a shake, completely right about how it would feel to touch him.
Yeah. You're glad you've left your number scribbled on the top box. Maybe he'll call you before Thursday. If not, you'll make sure to write it on his hand next time.

could've shouted out loud
ao3 link
at the end of the game i went with karlach and wyll to avernus without realizing that would like cement things and then watched how nervous astarion was about if you're really staying together when my gf finished the game with him. so i split the difference and wrote fix-it fic for my personal fuck-up lmao
just over 2k; spoilers for the end of bg3 of course. rated mature-ish, fully gender neutral tav. it takes a while to come back from avernus and when you find him he is Pissed with you (and very hurt). comforting and some spiciness ensues
It takes longer than you expect to find Astarion again.
You, Karlach, and Wyll have been working on carving out your little corner of Avernus; it's rough work, but Karlach pulls most of the literal weight of setting up shelter for the three of you. It's not much, little more than reinforced tents, but it's better than nothing.
You finally feel like it's safe to go back and look for Astarion, and Wyll opens a portal for you that brings you right to the heart of Baldur's Gate.
It takes three days and nights of asking around before you find him. A helpful bartender at the Blushing Mermaid informs you that someone matching your description of him comes in and sits at a certain table, alone, most nights, and you go there yourself to wait for him.
And sure enough.
Sure enough, come sunset, and given an hour, he walks through the door. He doesn't notice you right away, ordering himself a bottle of wine and taking a glass from the bartender, but when your eyes finally meet, he nearly drops them both.
You smile pathetically at him.
He does not smile back.
He makes his way to the secluded table and you stand to meet him when he does. He sets the bottle and glass on the table and folds his arms, looking you up and down.
"Is this a trick?" he asks, first, looking at you with scrutiny.
Despite his closed-off posture and his attempt at a foul expression for you, he's still just as beautiful as he had been when the sun began to burn him.
You shake your head.
"No, no trick," you promise, and he tenses hearing your voice. Disguises and illusions can mimic many things, but a voice is tough, too unique to recreate for most mages and wizards.
"I'm going insane, then?" he asks sarcastically, and gestures at you to a man passing by. "Excuse me? Do you see the person in front of me?"
The man looks between you and Astarion and you can only give a little wave.
"Yes?" the man answers, and fucks off.
Astarion's frown deepens.
"So, what?" he asks, voice dripping with venom. "It's you, then?"
You swallow nervously and hope that the time apart hasn't put you back to square one.
"It's me," you confirm. "I'm sorry it took so long to find you," you apologize, but he scoffs.
"Must not have been looking very hard," he huffs. "I thought you'd —" he says, voice cracking in vulnerability, and he steels himself all over again. "I thought you'd decided I wasn't worth the trouble once you saw me in the sun," he tries again, and this time, his volume is louder. "I thought you ran off so I couldn't find you and be your burden."
You reach out, but he smacks your hand away.
"Astarion," you breathe, heartbroken. Is this it? Does he... Has he gotten used to the idea of living without you?
Is this over, now?
"Where have you been, then?" he spits, looking away from you in a huff. "You'd better have a damn good answer, or I'll kill you right here myself."
"I'd let you," you breathe, smiling just a bit — threats of harm are better than a cold shoulder. "I've been in Avernus," you say. "With Karlach. And Wyll."
His shoulders relax just slightly hearing Karlach's name.
"She's still alive?" he asks, making glancing eye contact with you to show his sincerity.
You nod.
"She can't leave the hells anymore, not yet, but she's alive," you confirm. "We've been working on a solution, and working on making a home there, for now."
He doesn't say anything, waiting. You swallow nervously.
"We were chased by devils for a tenday when we arrived, otherwise I would have been back for you sooner," you say, and pray to any gods that might listen that he understands. "And then we had to get settled, make sure no one was on our trail," you continue.
Astarion scoffs, but his eyes glimmer with unshed tears.
"You could have written," he mutters, needing to make light of the situation for his own sanity.
"I owe you a postcard," you agree, the barest smile slowly returning to your face.
He sniffles, and curses under his breath.
"I thought...?" he starts, but can't finish, hiccuping back a sob.
"I know," you try to soothe. "I'm so sorry."
This time, when you reach out, he doesn't stop you. You put your hand on his shoulder and squeeze lightly, stroking your thumb over the soft fabric he's wearing.
"I love you," you practically whisper. "I've thought of you every moment of every day since we were parted."
He doesn't answer with words — instead, he shoves himself against you, and it takes half a moment to realize he's trying for a hug, reluctant to wrap his arms around you but making the gesture anyway.
You fling your arms around him and squeeze him in tightly. He's cold, so much colder than he ever was when he was feeding from you regularly, and you realize he might not have been drinking from anything but animals again.
"I've missed you so much," you mumble against him, your head ducked against the side of his. "Astarion, I can't believe we're both here," you laugh, relieved, and he laughs too.
"I thought you might have been dead," he admits, and his voice is so, so small. "I thought I'd never see you again."
You hug him tighter.
"I'm here now," you promise.
His arms wrap around you properly now, too, and he almost starts to relax against you.
He's holding back because you're in public, but he shakes with emotion.
"Where have you been staying?" you ask, pulling back just enough to speak with him properly. "Let's get out of here and talk there."
"The Elfsong Tavern," he sniffs. He straightens himself up and quickly wipes the tears off his face, and suddenly the mask is back in place. "Let's, shall we?"
You hold his bottle of wine in one hand and his hand in the other as you walk back to the Elfsong. Neither of you speaks beyond his comment that it's a nice night out and your hum of agreement.
Once you arrive, you head upstairs. His hands shake as he pulls out his room key, and you've never seen him struggle with a lock more than now.
It finally gives way and opens, and then you're finally, finally alone together.
You set the bottle of wine on a side table, briefly turning away, and when you turn back to say So, where do we begin? he's already kissing you.
You've missed this. You've missed him, his insistent, smart, sharp mouth and his hands that pull at your waist to bring you in close and his fingers that dig into your sides like you could disappear if he ever loosened his grip.
He's crying again, tears catching on your lips and turning your kisses salty, but you don't care at all.
"Astarion," you gasp between breaths, just to hear his name on your tongue, and he drags you to his bed.
"I thought I was going to die without you," he growls, pushing you onto the mattress and crawling over you like a predator. "I was so scared, for you and for what I might do if you didn't — if I never saw you again," he admits, voice low and dangerous.
"I'm here," you reassure him, holding onto his arms and sliding your grip to ground him.
"I thought you were gone," he says, angry and scared and afraid and a thousand other things.
"Have you... Are we still...?" you start to ask, and he kisses you again.
"I've been mourning a lost love," he breathes against your lips. "Every face I've seen, I've only looked to see if it could be you, and then I've looked away," he admits. "When I saw a stranger with your stature or your hair, I'd hope, just for a moment, and then it'd be lost."
Your heart flares with love — even thinking you might have left him, abandoned him, died on him, he didn't give up hope that you might return.
"I'm so sorry," you apologize again, kissing him over and over. "I'm here now, I promise. I'd never leave you."
Rather than the coy, self-deprecating never say 'never', darling you might have heard when all this began, he hums with such pleasure it's nearly a moan, just hearing your dedication to him spoken aloud.
"I love you," you remind him, fingers tangling into his hair to keep him close. "I love you, I love you," you breathe, and with every word his breath hitches higher until he's kissing you hard, forcing you silent lest something in him break.
"I want you," he rumbles against you, and your heart soars while your insides dance with butterflies.
"You have me," you say, and you mean it. It doesn't matter if you do nothing but kiss and hold each other tightly until the sun comes up and then goes back down, you're his as much as he's yours and you're eager to remind him of that however you can.
"You're wearing too many clothes," he practically snarls, digging hands under your shirt and pulling roughly at things to loosen your breeches, and you wholeheartedly agree.
"So are you," you growl back.
You manage to get his shirt off over his head at the same time he's struggling with yours, and you sit up so he can do the same with yours.
Wriggling out of your bottoms is a little more difficult when neither of you can stand to be apart, but you both get the waistbands to your knees and that's good enough for you.
His cock is half-hard from excitement and anticipation and you're quick to reach for it, but he stops you by pinning your wrist beside your head.
"I've missed this," he purrs, squeezing your wrist in his hand. He grabs for your other wrist and you let him, allowing him to pin you fully and press his body up against yours. "I've missed feeling you struggle against me," he laughs.
You arch up against him just for fun, pressing your leg up between his and rubbing his cock against your hip.
"Is that what you want tonight?" you ask, challenging him by straining against his hands. He's weak — he hasn't fed recently, or fed enough, and you can feel him put his full weight into keeping you down.
"Oh, darling, I want everything," he hums. He kisses you again and ruts his cock against your hip on purpose this time, moaning softly into your mouth. "I want you ruined under me," he breathes. "I want you debauched on top of me. I don't want to leave this room until tomorrow night at the earliest."
You laugh against him.
"Agreed," you hum back.
He lets go of your hands in favor of holding you by your hips, and your arms wrap around his shoulders like it's where they've always belonged.
"I missed you," he sighs. "So much."
"I'm here now," you reassure him again. He nuzzles into your throat and you bare it for him, inviting him, and he shudders.
"I don't suppose I'd be allowed a bite?" he asks, trailing kisses over your pulse.
"I've missed that, too," you sigh. "Go on."
He gives your neck one more tender, open-mouthed kiss before he sinks his teeth into you, a familiar pain that you've dearly missed.
He drinks deeply. You can feel his starvation sating, his body becoming warmer and softer against yours as he melts against you.
Gods, you've missed him. You never want to be separated again.
You feel the past slipping away from you, as though you've never been apart; all that has ever existed is this, this moment, with his mouth pressed to your neck, bite-wound weeping blood onto his tongue and him swallowing as greedily as you cling to him.
He finally pulls away, the perfect amount taken that you feel light-headed but not dizzy, and he feels sated but not full — a balance the two of you perfected over your journey, and one that he's apparently still in tune with.
"Perfect," he breathes into your neck, lapping at the fang marks still slowly oozing blood. "Oh, love," he sighs.
He buries his face in your neck and breathes deep.
"You smell like Avernus," he notes, amused.
"Ugh," you agree.
"You smell like you, though," he says, muffled against your skin. "Gods, I missed that."
You take a long moment to hold each other like that, arms wrapped around each other and clinging and just breathing deeply, taking each other in.
Eventually, his cock twitches impatiently against your skin, and you laugh.
"Sorry," he mutters, pulling his face out of your neck to kiss the corner of your mouth. "I really would just like to be close, if you're not up for anything like that," he says, almost shyly.
You press your hips up against him in answer, and catch the gasp off his lips with your mouth against his.
"I'm up for things," you grin, and he laughs against you.
"Alright," he agrees. "'Things', it is."
You give him one more long, lingering kiss before the two of you go any further, one that you'll remember years from now.
"I'm so happy you're here," he admits, and you smile against his mouth.
You are, too.

Talk to Strangers
Edward Nashton x Coworker! Reader
━━━━
Word Count: 4,951
Warnings: smut (18+ only MDNI), stalking, unprotected sex, angst and fluff and smut, a decent bit of tears, obligatory mentions of murder
Summary: You’ve warmed up to Edward despite his cold nature, but what happens when the puzzle pieces start to fall together and you can feel someone watching you in the darkness?
Authors Note: I actually tried so hard on this yall, I posted this to my ao3 page first so I am sorry if the formatting is all kinds of messed up on here :( This is my first fic i’ve posted since 2017 so I sincerely apologize if it’s meh, i also don’t have anyone else proofread my fics so i apologize for any errors i missed! enjoy!
Ao3 Link
He's arrogant. Oh so arrogant, and you can't fucking stand it. You watch him every morning as he strides in, past your desk at reception, white button up shirt, clear framed glasses, shaggy hair that falls over his forehead . He's certainly not a hit among the office, so maybe you're not wrong in your feelings. Though your other co-workers generally regard him as a pushover- not a self-absorbed asshole. He's good at what he does, sure. He's earned his spot, but he often brings a shadow into the rooms he walks into. A presence that you can only describe as infernal.
You don’t know much about his story. You generally pride yourself on getting to know the people you surround yourself with, but he has never let you get close enough to find out. Maybe that’s why you find him arrogant. He thinks he’s too good to speak to you for more than two sentences related to files he needs you to fax for him. What you do know about him is that he’s been at KTMJ for longer than you have been- maybe 5 years more. You can still remember the first time you met. You were fresh faced and eager. Seeking validation, in desperate need of some stability.
You extend your arm for a handshake. His hands are slightly clammy as he accepts your handshake. And though you had greeted him with your brightest smile (might as well go all in if you ever wanted to be anything other than a receptionist) he hadn't smiled back. He'd kept a rather straight face as he gave his brief introduction. "Edward."
Now you have a sense of stability. Sure, the quality of life in Gotham is subpar and you still haven't received that promotion, but you make enough to live comfortably in comparison to others in the city. You try to count your blessings.
━━━━
You had already been having a shitty day. Your landlord had informed you of an increase in rent rates by slipping an envelope under your door. Sure, it sucked to be asked to pay more for an apartment that could be deemed shitty by any normal person with a pair of eyes, but it was the lack of communication that got you. Not even the decency to call your residence and tell you with their own voice. Just a slip of paper under the door.
But you tried to bring a good attitude to the office. You hate being the one to damper the mood. You would rather leave that to him. Always him. Never smiling back at you as he walks through the door, never meeting your eyes to acknowledge your presence, nothing. And you were used to that. It would be okay, if it weren't for the stack of papers that laid on your desk when you got in. Neatly stacked with a green sticky note reading "Need copies. -Edward" scrawled in messy handwriting. You immediately feel the flames rise into your chest.
It's a quick stride from your desk to his cubicle, stack of papers tightly tucked into your fist. You slam them onto his desk as soon as you reach it, and he raises an eyebrow at you in response. "What the hell is this?" He glances at the papers and back at you. "The copier isn't working. I wrote what I needed." You sigh, annoyed at the fact that he doesn't understand.
"You couldn't have waited for me to get here and brought them to me yourself? I would really appreciate it if you would treat me like a human being every once in a while, ya know, actually acknowledge my existence." You realize how dramatic you must sound, but in all honesty you've been thinking it for years, it was only a matter of time before it came out. "I needed copies. I didn't think my acknowledgement meant that much to you." He holds his hands out in defense, feigning that he actually cared if he had hurt your feelings.
"I think you think you're smarter than everyone else here." You plant a hand on the table in front of him as you crouch to his level.
He sighs and you can see the corners of his mouth twitch. "I do. Is that so bad?"
"It makes you an asshole."
He finally faces you.
"Better to be an asshole than to be an idiot."
His voice doesn't carry any malice, yet the words feel like a slap in the face to you. It leaves you scrambling for a response, opening your mouth only to close it a second later. Until you decide to merely respond with a nervous chuckle. Sure, you thought his response showed his ego, but you had to admit. He got you. He faces you once more at the sound of your light chuckle, green eyes meeting yours completely. "I guess you're right."
You catch the corners of his mouth turning upwards.
"If it means that much to you, I will greet you next time."
━━━━
And he does. Greet you that is. You find yourself talking to him more and more. Sitting in the break room with him at lunch, looking over his shoulder at the crossword puzzle he works on at his desk and giving your best shot at an answer, relishing in the furrow of his brows as he turns to look over his shoulder at you. He's an asshole. He's arrogant. But there's something about him that's drawing you in. Sometimes you feel like a fish caught in a net. All those moments he'd brushed you off and yet you find yourself repeating the little quirks of his soft smiles in your head. You hate the term "work husband", but it seems that Edward is slowly becoming the very definition of that.
You don't speak outside of the office, but you find yourself gravitating towards him when you're stressed. You tell him about your landlord and the reason you had gotten so defensive with him. He understood.
"It's a cesspool here. None of these people actually care about people like us, not the landlords, not our coworkers, certainly not the politicians." He had said in that moment.
As October rolls around and the leaves begin to fall, you find yourself beginning to bring two coffees to work, one for you, one for him. He always shows an appreciative nod. But the moment you start to think about asking him to actually go out with you for coffee is like being the fish pulled out of the water and accepting it's inevitable fate. You were gonna let him drive you insane.
You're sure of it as you are caught up in the nerves and find yourself softly grabbing his hand to stop him outside the front doors of the office. You quickly pull your hand from his. no doubt blushed a deep red. But he just stares, waiting for you to speak. You clear your throat. "I- um- Sorry, I was just gonna see if you had plans now." And it pains you the way he doesn't speak, just continues to stare.
"There's a diner on the corner near here. I think they have decent pie."
He loosens the tension in his shoulders and looks down. "Oh. I'm actually sort of drowning in... paperwork right now." He shifts his weight from one foot to the other, clearly uncomfortable. God, you hoped you hadn't made him uncomfortable. "I'm sorry."
You quickly shake your head and let out a breathy laugh. "Oh no! It's totally fine, I probably have paperwork to finish too." You hope it hides the pang you feel in your chest. "I'll see you tomorrow." You swiftly turn and walk away before he can respond.
━━━━
But you wouldn't see Edward tomorrow. Matter of fact you wouldn't see him for the next three days after Halloween. You try not to let it bother you.
It's the beginning of a cold November, he's probably just sick or desperately needed a vacation. Or perhaps you'd seriously fucked it all up and he couldn't even stand the sight of you. You can't stop the deep sigh that comes from you as you rest your forehead in the palm of your hand. Embarrassingly, you ask Zach if he's heard from Edward. Not that you expected him to be particularly helpful. "Are you guys, like, fucking?" You are stunned and stammering your words. "Wha- No! No. I just worry about him."
"Look, I wouldn't worry about him too much, I mean the guy's basically a fucking recluse. When do you ever see him outside of here? Maybe it's good that he's somewhere besides here."
Still, there's no chance of you actually focusing on work and you find yourself aimlessly scrolling through news headlines, before one in particular catches your eye.
'Mayoral Incumbent Donald Mitchell, Jr. Murdered in his Home on Halloween Night.'
Holy shit.
━━━━
Edward is back at work after three long days, and despite your worry of his annoyance and anger, he is oddly elated.
It's the first time he approaches your desk. Leaning against it, coffee cup in hand, and flashing an awkward smile before asking, "So did I miss anything?" It leaves you a little taken aback, but it's a relief to see him approach you willingly after your last conversation.
"Um yeah, Zach was a total prick as usual- Oh! And our mayor was murdered."
He raises an eyebrow and takes a sip from the coffee cup. You feign annoyance, "No but seriously where were you? I started to wonder if that psychopath got you too."
He smiles. "Just sick. November weather and all."
━━━━
The first time you see the green mask you are in a huddle of coworkers around a computer screen.
'Police Commissioner, Pete Savage, Murdered. Killer Leaves Shocking Confession.'
"My God. What a sick freak." Zach interjects.
You can barely stand to watch. The video is hardly graphic aside from the disturbing voice of the masked man, but the implications of what happens when the video cuts off leaves your stomach turning. You walk away. Desperate for some space, but also desperate for a distraction. Edward sits straight in his office chair across the room. You hesitate slightly before striding toward his desk and leaning your weight against it. You can feel the sweat beading at your forehead as you lightly brush hair from your eyes. "Shit."
It's merely a whisper to yourself, but he turns his head to face you. For once his face shows concern towards you. Yet he still says nothing, only looks. Observant as always.
"Sorry. I needed to get out of that." You gesture towards the group of coworkers still huddled and murmuring among each other. He glanced back, before turning back towards his work. "The news?" He inquires quietly.
"Yeah. It's a little too much for me to stomach." There's a little pause as if he is hesitant to say anything before finally replying, "They were pricks. Don't you think they kind of deserved it?"
You straighten up, looking at him with shock. "I think they were still people with families." He frowns at you before you finally walk away from his desk to make your way to the restroom. You needed to get a grip.
━━━━
Edward apologizes for his insensitivity after work. You had stayed with him outside of the building long after all of your other coworkers had left. "It's fine." You refuse to look at him as he lights a cigarette and gets in a few quick puffs. You're being mean. But if you're honest the combination of his rejection and his comment earlier in the day had set you off. "And I'm sorry for last week." Only then you look up at him.
"I've had a lot going on, and it feels a little unfair to bring you into all of that."
"This feels like an excuse to let me down easy. It's okay if you just don't want to go on a date-"
The feeling of chapped lips on your own stops you mid sentence. He tastes of coffee and cigarettes and you crave more, but he pulls back quickly. His free hand remains at your cheek, holding your face in a gentle caress. "It's not an excuse. Things are just complicated for me right now." His eyes never leave your face. It's the best look you've gotten of them. Of him. His features are gentle behind shaggy hair and acetate glasses.
Something feels wrong and eerie in the back of your mind. Like seeing him this close gave you a sickening feeling of deja vu. Things were definitely complicated. The bags under his eyes were showing his exhaustion well, he had gone from elated to unwell since his return. He seems like a broken man, but he'd never let you close enough to find out why. You can't help but feel the connection, like he deserved a shot even if he didn't want it. Even if he thought he was smarter. Even if there's a side to him that could hurt you. You push down your feelings of uneasiness.
You press a chaste kiss to the corner of his lips.
"When you're ready."
━━━━
You're awake nearly all night the next weekend. Spending the entire time digging through news about the figure known as The Riddler, his possible next targets, possible identities, and most importantly all of the video footage he'd put out in the last few weeks. It's certainly not healthy. You generally steer clear of these sorts of things. Years of therapy had gotten you far and you would rather not ruin it by desensitizing yourself. But you can't help it. You find yourself going deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole until you find yourself tuning into his streams late at night.
He speaks with such a confidence in himself. As if he has all of the answers, and is just waiting to enlighten the world. His followers are even more terrifying. They'd do anything for him. You wonder how low a person must be in life to resort to this sort of behavior. But, you're not a psychiatrist. Who are you to speak on these people. These strangers.
"We are going to cleanse this cesspool of city."
You slam the laptop shut.
Sleeping isn't easy after this sort of activity. You should've known. You turn on a show you don't actually care about to give yourself some sense of security in background noise. And soon you find yourself drifting asleep. It's not great sleep. You can sense yourself tossing and turning, but you can deal with it. Everything is fuzzy until you find yourself on your back.
Paralyzed.
It's not uncommon for you to experience sleep paralysis, but you've experienced it less after your time in therapy. You try to keep your breathing steady, trying to convince yourself that whatever you see is merely a hallucination.
Shh. Shh. Just breathe.
But the figure that appears is familiar. That's what scares you the most. The green coat and mask is horrifying as it inches towards the bed, and you can't scream. you can't move away. You can only watch the blood drip from his gloved fingertips onto your floor as he stares. Tilting his head at you slightly, as he brings a hand up to his head. You can hear your heart pounding and you are practically internally begging yourself to wake up. The latches on his mask pop open and you're horrified to find that the face underneath is so familiar. A slight smirk on lips you have kissed before. Blood dripping from a hand that you've held before. You try to scream. Tears falling down your temples until he is suddenly gone and you shoot up in your bed.
You can't hold back the cry that escapes your throat. It wasn't real, he's gone, and you're safe in your room.
━━━━
Until suddenly the safety of your room begins to feel a lot less safe. You hear it. The creaking of the floorboards at night, the slight tapping against the glass of your bedroom window. The slight squeak of leather rubbing and rustling together. You're too scared to open your eyes those first few nights. You'd rather be blind and take your fate than die in paralyzing fear.
But you know it's him.
It was never unclear what was staring at you in the night. Maybe the nightmares of the leather gloves touching your skin hadn't been nightmares at all. You want so badly to be sickened. To run into your bathroom to empty your stomach out of panic and fear. Instead you feel a strange mixture of annoyance and arousal in your gut.
He thinks he's smarter than you.
You find yourself playing into his games.Attempting to one up him. To show him you aren't scared of him. That you can keep up. You begin to deliberately change in front of your window. Letting lacy fabric hit the cold floor and standing just a tad longer, stalling before covering yourself back up.
You hope he's watching when you peel off your work tights. You hope he's imagining himself on his knees tearing the delicate fabric from your form, only to be blocked by a thin pane of glass. You wanted the upper hand.
You hope he's watching as you sink two fingers into yourself, thinking about crisp, white button ups and clear framed glasses.
━━━━
The next few weeks are tense at work. You heard the news of what happened to Gil Colson at Don Mitchell's funeral. Edward would walk in everyday, and attempt to greet you, only this time it's you who is short. You have a little hope that he can't see straight through you. But you can see it in the way that he looks at you that you're an open book. Who's to say that he won't just watch, but actually kill you to keep you from talking. But deep down you both know your lips are shut tight.
So you work through the days, just ready to get home. You can hardly stand to look at him. It makes you feel like you're an accomplice. A sitting duck for a man who probably doesn't even care about you, withholding a tip to the police because deep down you really do like him. And you had hoped he liked you too until things got complicated. Now you think it would just be best if he abandoned you right where you were. But he doesn't. In fact, he suddenly has more courage than you'd ever seen from him. It's evident as he catches you by your arm and pulls you into the alleyway beside the office after work is over. It's dark and you'd be lying if you said you weren't scared, but he kisses you like nothing is wrong. Like he has no clue. Like nothing has changed.
You pull away from him, wide eyes staring back at him. "Are you okay?" He asks quietly as he brushes a hand up your arm. You can't help the break in your voice. "I know, Edward."
He just stands and stares. "What?" You take two steps back. "You're killing people." He continues to stare. He drops his hand from your arm. The silence scares you more than anything. But he simply sighs.
"I think you should go home and get some rest."
And before you can argue he walks away with a quickened pace.
━━━━
So you do. You return to your shitty apartment and try to compose yourself. What would he do now that you said that? Maybe you were wrong. Maybe you had accused him of something he genuinely didn't do. But it didn't feel wrong. You sigh as the hot water hits your back. You had hoped a shower would help you feel refreshed, but for the first time in a while, it feels like a chore. You can't enjoy it, so you rush through it. As you step into your bedroom you stop in your tracks. The window is slightly ajar, a cool draft flowing in tingles your bare legs. And then you see him. The figure in the darkness of your room. This time you're not dreaming.
He's in your room. You're paralyzed. The position you swore you'd never let yourself be put in. He's got the upper hand.
He just stands there. A part of you wishes he would attack you. Kill you. Anything just to break the still silence. You realize you're shaking. You agreed to play his game and now you're trailing his lead, allowing yourself to be beaten.
"Edward."
It comes out as a shaky whisper, but he visibly takes it in as he steps toward you to close the distance. You can see his eyes crinkle at the corners through the green mask. He's smiling. And he reaches a gloved hand to your face, cupping one cheek. You can feel the warmth radiating from his hand even through the glove. So, he is human. The Riddler has a beating heart and flowing blood. He is not a cold, lifeless monster. His stoic frame you had become so familiar with at work was gone. He catches a tear from your cheek with his thumb.
He is terrifying.
"No more through the window. I'll be gone soon."
Before you can entirely comprehend the statement and it's implications, your brain forms the word that leaves your mouth. "Gone?"
He simply smiles again, this time reaching his hands behind his head to abandon the mask he had come in with, and there he is. Cherubic features glowing under the street lamp light that flows in from your window. "I watched you live for a month. I watched you eat, sleep, undress, touch yourself. But you knew that right? Otherwise you wouldn't have put on such a show."
You attempt to struggle away from his grasp in disgust at his words but he holds you tight in front of him. "But that's alright. I'll tell you the truth because I hate liars. I liked knowing that you were doing it all for me. I wanted nothing more than to cleanse Gotham, to give them true salvation, but you put a dent into that plan. You became a distraction that I foolishly indulged." The soft light is hitting his features just right. He looks like an angel in devils' clothing. And his tight grip is right back to a gentle caress. His hand reaches the small of your back and you're sucking in a shrill breath.
His kiss is soft, inexperienced. Much like the other times you had kissed. But he is treating you like glass that might break. You think it might be the first time you've seen him relax enough to be seen as a particularly gentle being. He's ditched his looming, arrogant behavior you're so used to just to show you his utmost affection. It's the first time you have seen him like this since the first time you had kissed.
But some part of you is burning. He's not your prince charming. You know exactly what he is capable of, you've seen it. You're not glass. You're not a damsel. This is a man who has watched you undress for him through your window for weeks. This is a man who has killed. And it shouldn't bring heat into your core the way it does. Perhaps it's the thrill of the danger.
You kiss him so hard that your teeth clash. It stuns him as his hand lifts from your body momentarily before finding purchase at your hips. He's inexperienced, but the desperation coming from both of you is enough to cover it up.
The warmth and weight of his tongue in your mouth is intoxicating. The little sparks of guilt and shame that flash in your stomach are quickly subdued by his nimble fingers caressing under your nightgown and up your thighs to hook in the waistband of your panties. You can't help the pathetic moan that escaped your mouth as he slowly drags the fabric down your legs.
"I wanted to do it right. Wanted to take you to that diner, buy your food, take you home, and act like I hadn't thought about fucking you into your mattress every single night."
It's almost strange to see him on his knees. He has built himself up to be godlike. You were sure he wouldn't mind you on your knees in front of him. Absolutely worshipping him. The warmth of his tongue swiping over you has your thoughts lurching, and yes, god, he is divine.
"But it would be wrong to pretend to be someone I am not. I'm not a liar."
You can't help but tangle your fingers into his beautifully unkept hair and pull. He is ravishing you. Sinking two fingers into you until you feel the heavenly curl right into the spot that makes you whimper. "Eddie-" He swallows your moans in a desperate openmouthed kiss. His fingers are working you open, you can feel tightness build in your stomach. Like a rubber band ready to snap. But it's ripped away from you as he pulls his fingers out of you and swiftly pushes you to the bed. The sounds of his belt buckle coming undone has your heart racing faster than it already was, your stomach fluttering.
He buries himself inside of you with no hesitation, no time to adjust. It hurts and his inexperience is noticeable, but the look of bliss on his face and his slight whimpers has you ready to cum before you've even started.
You're gripping onto the back of the green leather parka, reminding yourself of who you're with. Who you're letting fuck you right now. But those green eyes bring you back to all those times he'd flash a slight smile your way in the office. He'd try to hide it but you're the only person he showed fondness towards in that hell hole of a workplace. Thinking back to the night he had kissed you has tears welling up in your eyes again. He notices.
He slows his pace momentarily, letting his short thrusts turn into long drags. A gloved hand wipes tears away once again and you meet his concerned gaze.
"Does this not make you happy?"
Your hands move to cradle his face. A move that he's certainly not used to as his thrust halt for a moment in surprise. "I am happy. But what comes after this? Am I supposed to ignore you and pretend I know nothing about you? That I feel nothing for you?" He stops his movements completely now. The room has fallen silent apart from the heavy breathing between you two.
"I have to mean nothing to you. Momentarily."
You knew the answer before you asked the question, but it hurts just as bad anyway. You don't take your eyes off his. The Riddler's facade is cracking before your eyes, you can see his eyes becoming glossy. It's almost like he's turned into a completely different person. He kisses you. Deeply, but not rough. There's so much pent up feeling behind it, you could sob even harder. But you don't and he keeps kissing you as he resumes his movements.
You're not using any protection, but you're too blissed out to care. You crave that feeling of warmth. "Eddie- I-"
His hips start to stutter as he cuts you off and buries his face in your neck. " I love you- please God- just say it back to me. Tell me you love me." You hold his face in your hands guiding his gaze to meet yours again. "Edward, I love you."
That's all it takes for him to fall apart. His whimpers and cries are like music to your ears and the feeling of warmth as he releases everything he has into you is blissful. You both have to take a second to recover, foreheads pressed together. But eventually he rolls off of you carefully and tucks himself back into his pants. The silence is deafening. You said it to push him over the edge, but was it true that you loved him? The idea of falling in love with Edward was easy in your mind, in a perfect world the idea of settling down somewhere else and waking up next to him felt good. But this wasn't a perfect world. Edward killed people, powerful people, and the chance that he'd get away without paying for it was slim.
"I'm gonna turn myself in in a couple of days."
"Okay."
"You should leave Gotham. It's not going to be safe for you here. If the cops ask you're visiting a friend in Bludhaven."
His hand grips yours as he looks at you.
"I promise if I ever get out, I'll find you."
━━━━
You do as he asked of you. Got a hotel in Bludhaven and in the next couple of nights you watched the television endlessly, waiting to see his face. The night you finally did, you cried yourself to sleep, gripping the hotel sheets as you buried your face into your pillow.
But you held yourself together and did as Edward asked.
When the man in the bat suit showed up at your hotel door a week after the flood you give your best answers.
"I'm visiting a friend, but the flood has kept me in town."
"No, I didn't know him well, we just worked together."
"I mean he was a little strange, but I never thought he would murder someone."
“I would never have expected it to be him.”
"I hope he gets the help he needs."

Girl With The Wave Tattoo PT. II
A/N: I sincerely and deeply apologize for not getting this out sooner. Tumblr did not notify me that a couple people commented asking for a second part to this. It was only recently that I saw that part two was requested. To those who requested this, I am so sorry for making you wait this long! Mizu X Fem!Reader CW: Deep conversations about trauma and dark/intrusive thoughts WC: 1.0k+
"Hey, Mizu!" I smiled, waving to her.
"Hey, Y/N," she smiled.
"Tea again?"
"You know it," she said, pulling out her wallet.
"I got it," I said.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
"Yes, I am sure. I know you've been working hard."
She smiled, shaking her head, "I take it Ise told you?"
"Yes. And the social media posts of your recent tattoos lately."
"Business has been booming. I am grateful."
"I take it you're stressed, though."
"Very much am," she let out a sigh. "Oh, before I forget."
"Yeah?"
"You free tonight?"
"M-Me?"
"Yes, you," she chuckled.
"I-I," I found my friend and Ise were standing around the corner, vigorously nodding their heads. "I'm not doing anything tonight."
"Great. I'll meet you here, then?"
"Y-Yeah," I said, finishing up making her tea.
"See you then," she smiled, taking the cup from my hand.
Our fingers brushed over one another's as she grabbed it, heading out of the little cafe. She waved to my friend and Ise before heading out. I stood there, my mouth wide open and my eyes blinked rapidly. My friend came over and hugged me from the side.
"Look at you! Wooing Mizu like that."
"I-I didn't do anything. I-I just treated her with kindness and respected her as a person."
"And those are qualities you don't find a lot these days," Ise said.
"Yes, I remember the story you told me."
"And also, from what I heard from my friend, Mizu is not the easiest person to like. And she struggles to find people to talk to," Ise said.
"I can see why," I said.
"But this is good!" my friend said. "I know how much you've been wanting to date someone."
"I-I'm not sure I want to date Mizu. I mean, she seems nice and all and I do find her attractive, but I-I don't know."
"Just let things happen, Y/N," my friend said. "You don't have to force yourself to like someone if you don't feel like you do."
"Thanks," I said.
"We should also probably get back to work," my friend eyed the line that was starting to gather behind us.
"Oh shit," I said and turned towards the register as my friend and Ise were getting things prepared.
After we closed the cafe, I was walking out right when Mizu was walking towards the building.
"We'll see you later, Y/N," Ise and my friend said.
"Later," I said to them before turning to Mizu.
"H-Hey, Mizu."
"Hey, Y/N," she smiled. "You ready?"
"Where are we going to go?"
"I found an awesome place to show you," she said and walked off towards the outskirts of the city.
We got onto a train that led to the outer parts, where not many people lived and it would be a long hike to reach the next town over. The train stopped and Mizu got up. I followed her off the train and into the woods. The sun was starting to set and it was getting chilly. My work uniform wasn't enough to keep me warm, since I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and jeans.
"Here," Mizu said and wrapped her jacket around me.
"Thank you," I said. "W-What is here? And how did you find this place?"
"I remember a friend of mine, Ringo, told me about this place. How it's mostly woods and it's far enough from the city to where I won't get lost, but also far from the next town over. I came here one evening and started wandering around, trying to find a calm and quiet spot. Then I stumbled upon this," she pulled back some foliage and there was a large cliff ahead of us.
I stepped out of the woods and she followed behind me. I noticed she was wearing a white tank top and shorts with tennis shoes.
"How are you not cold?" I asked.
She chuckled, "The tattoo shop I work in is either freezing or boiling hot. The HVAC needs to be repaired and we're struggling right now to get it fixed. I've been working a lot more hours so that I can use what I get to help pay for the repairs. Don't worry, it's not just me who is doing that. Everyone is chipping in."
"I was gonna say," I said.
"It's the only place I will be a good person to, along with you, Ise, and your friend at the cafe."
"I don't blame you," I said.
"Come, let's sit."
We walked towards the edge of the cliff and sat down, our legs swinging in the air.
"After everything you've been through, I don't blame you for not being nice to those who aren't deserving of it."
"I should be nicer to people. They're just trying to get by and here I am, traumatized from my past."
"The healing process is a long and perilous journey."
"It truly is. I-I don't think I will ever heal."
"I know people say time heals all wounds."
"It's bullshit."
"Time heals the physical wounds, not the mental ones."
Mizu turned towards me, a look of shock on her face.
"What?" I asked.
"I always say the same thing, too."
"Well it's true. If you've been traumatized, no matter how much it hurt you, you can't easily get over that within a week. Or even a year. Hell, not even two years. Your body may be able to heal itself, but the brain and heart can't."
Mizu slowly nodded her head, "E-Exactly."
"I-I'm sorry," I said. "I didn't want this to sound like a therapy session."
"You know, no one understands any of that like you do."
"Really?"
"Yeah. A few people I have talked to have never made me feel safe. Safe in the sense of I can express my thoughts and feelings freely."
"Your thoughts and feelings are valid, Mizu," I said. "No matter what anyone says, they're valid."
"Even the dark thoughts?"
"That's a gray area. But if you don't enact on them, either if they're dark towards yourself or someone else, they're still valid to have."
"Why do you say that?"
"They're your thoughts and feelings. So they should be valid to at least you. I think it's important that they're mainly valid to you, but I do feel you need validation from others on what you're thinking. And I think everything you think, dark, light, whatever it may be, is valid. Unless you enact on the dark thoughts."
"Don't let the intrusive thoughts win," Mizu chuckled.
I chuckled with her as well, "Yeah. Don't let the intrusive thoughts win. But they're still valid."
"Thank you, Y/N," Mizu said.
"You're welcome, Mizu. And this is a great sight. Thank you for bringing me here."
"You're welcome. Want to do something like this again sometime?"
I turned and smiled at her, "I'd love to."

you probably already know about this but an articles been put out about rusty quills shitty business practices and general shady behavior. if you havent already, you might be getting messages about it soon. just wanted to send a heads up in advance
Yes I saw and read it.
I'm choosing to believe the motivations of those involved, in spite the poor optics of them being from another network (and even quoting what "they" pay as an example of "good" companies), were an attempt to be morally just. That is to say, I have no ill will towards the author, their editors and everyone who contributed.
To be clear; if Rusty Quill has treated employees poorly they should be held accountable, I say if not as a way to not believe those affected but because "alleged" is used more than a dozen times in the article.
Additionally, no employer should ever yell at an employee. Again, if that happened, they should apologize and do better.
That being said…
I don't appreciate articles speaking on behalf of me or, frankly, trying to rope me in without my consent or request. I recognize they weren't attempting to give me a voice, just those who are affected, however the author has only now allowed shows to reach out, after the damage has been done and chose to speak for me nonetheless. Additionally, the article says that if I remain silent, it's because I can't speak out - which is just nonsense.
From my experience; I've had nothing but great experiences with Rusty Quill. They're a network. They host my show. What else do I need them for? Contracts, NDA's and all the legal aspects that the article seemed to make such a big deal about… are very normal. I think this is part of not understanding how large companies work.
For example; I saw tweets upset that people shouldn't have to sign an NDA to look over a sample contract which… is exactly what you do when you're looking over a sample contract.
I was a General Manager of a small rental company for 10 years prior to trying my hand at Audio work and renting a water cooler had more stipulations than RQ's agreement. Contracts are meant to be all encompassing. If you don't agree with stuff, you cross it out and ask it to be changed. If you’re upset at the way large companies work, your fight is misdirected with addressing just one company. The article also mentioned something about "Taking Money Upfront" and stuff like that, which failed to mention you don’t HAVE to take money upfront - furthermore - most shows on RQ did not do that.
In any case, this isn't meant to be a dismantling of the article. I don't want to invalidate anyone's experiences or frustrations. Who knows what more may come to light, all I can speak of are my experiences and frustrations.
So why I'm frustrated? Well, I saw a few tweets and posts boycotting RQ shows, which included mine. So that sucked.
Overall however, I think the article was done in poor taste and felt like virtue signaling more than something trying to be helpful. I think, personally - and I say this with all the genuine sincerity - it seemed written from a perspective of inexperience and naivete. It is not the Watergate scandal people think it is.
And for the people who are upset that "peoples lives were ruined" when they were let go… yes I'm sorry people lost their jobs. I lost the aforementioned GM position as well when the owner of the company sold the company out from under me. Not because I did a bad job or because I made a mistake, just bad luck. It sucked, sometimes people lose their jobs. That doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on what I feel is an article meant to stir the pot. After all, shouldn't I express my perspective as a show on RQ (which, like, isn't that what the article was meant to be about?).
Anyway, those are my thoughts. For what it's worth I think you should still read the article! It has some great thoughts…
…but with all things, read it with an informed opinion; remembering that it was written by the Director of Marketing for another Podcast network, who references their own network within their "expose" as an example of a network with "good practices", during a time that they're recruiting for new shows and that every single show on that Network has openly supported the article - retweeting it almost instantly, during the final days of their competitors successful Kickstarter.
The disclaimer on the article about the Authors association with F&F wasn't put until AFTER they were called out. Odd that an expose on uncovering the truth would be less than transparent when posting…

Um, hi. I'm human, and not a regular listener, so apologies if I'm overstepping, but I asked a friend of mine for help with this already. He said it was above his paygrade and to ask you.
So, like I said, I'm human, and so are my parents, grandparents, and pretty much all my family. And for the first ten years of my life, I thought my sister was too. When she was sixteen, she started wearing long pants and hats all the time, and we all thought it was a fashion choice. A weird one, but at least she wasn't trying to dye her hair with Kool-Aid or pierce her ears with a sewing needle and an ice cube. But then the hat came off on accident. And then my parents saw her horns. I still remember the way they yelled at her before they kicked her out. I still remember the way I just sat on the stairs, being scared for my big sister but not wanting to interfere because what if our parents turned on me, as well?
I recently moved to the city for work. It's a nice place, and there's a park near my flat. There's this woman who walks her dog in the evenings through the park, and by "this woman" I mean my sister. Well, I haven't actually spoken to her about it, but my sister has a rather distinctive birthmark on her left cheek, shaped kind of like a crescent moon. The woman does too. Her hair is shorter, her horns are longer, and she's got a tail, but there's no way she isn't my sister.
I want to reach out to her, I really do. But I'm scared of what she'll think of me. I didn't help her back when I was ten, and I can't fully blame myself for that - I was ten. But even now, I haven't cut off my parents for what they did to my sister. I still go to family dinner with them every other Sunday. They were horrible to her and I'll never forgive them for that, but they're my parents and I still love them.
Is there a way I can ever get my big sister back?
I first want to reassure you that you're perfectly welcome here, reader. You aren't the first sapio to write in to us, not by a long shot, and I sincerely hope you won't be the last.
I also want to take a moment to address a rather throw-away comment in your letter. You say you “can't fully blame yourself” for not acting in your sister's interests when you were a child. Reader, I don't see that you can blame yourself at all. I hope you can find a way to work through any lingering feelings of guilt about what happened back then.
As to your question, I think you need to think very carefully about what you want to gain from reaching out to your sister, and how you will feel if your attempts to reconnect don't go as well as you would hope. There are a few questions I'd like you to consider before making any attempts to reach out.
Your sister has built an entire life for herself independent of you and your parents. Are you able to meet her in that life, and take her as she is – whoever she is, now? Or is some part of you hoping she will slot simply and unproblematically back into your life?
You say you want “your big sister back”. I'm sorry but the person who was your sister when you were 10 simply doesn't exist any more, any more than your 10 year old self does. She has grown and changed, and you need to be sure you want to meet the woman she's become, not only the memory of the girl she was.
I also encourage you to reflect on whether you're ready for the reality of being a sibling to someone in the community. You were raised by people so entrenched in anti-creature beliefs that they abandoned their own child when they discovered her liminal nature. It takes time and effort to be able to show up for your friends and family in the creature community without trailing those ideas in with you.
If, after careful reflection, you decide you still want to reach out to her, I recommend giving her as much room as possible. Approaching her while she's walking her dog is one thing, but that is not the time to spring an entire reconciliation on her. You can introduce yourself, and either give her your contact details or write what you want to say in a letter for her to read when she is emotionally prepared.
I understand that you love your parents, and are able to remain in a relationship with them despite their social and political views. That isn't a failing on your part – it's the reality of love. We all have to make our own minds up about what we are willing to tolerate, and how, and when, and from whom. Your sister also has the right to decide who she shares her life with – even if that decision is hurtful to you.

I have seriously started typing and then deleted it four times, because I am so frightened that any tiny miswording will get this post mocked, or have people doubt my sincerity. I think I'm going to just have to tell myself to go ahead and post it, hoping that it will stay in the circle of people who know me well enough through my posts to read this as it is meant to be read, and to quietly acknowledge that if anyone uses this as a chance to mock or snark, it says more about them than me.
So here goes; this is a message to all of the survivors who read my posts.
First, to the ones who have reached out to me: thank you. You may not realize it, but you're actually kind of giving me a gift when you do that. Because when you do that, you're not only telling me that you trust me enough to share this with me, which honestly makes me feel honored, but you're also helping me. You're making me feel less alone, too, and you're sort of... well, if you guys deserve healing (you do), then I guess I do, too, even if I still have this voice in my head that maybe feels like what happened to me was a weird karmic punishment for not being able to protect my loved ones when they had certain things done to them. You make me feel less alone in the weird journey I'm taking. And it's a gift to be given your stories, and trusted with them, and to be able to turn the absolute utter bullshit we were given into something good. Seriously, please don't ever apologize for sending me your stories- you're helping me just as much as the other around, maybe more. They're a gift, not some kind of, like... burden.
(Honestly I think that the proliferation of terms like "trauma dumping" have really worn out their welcome. Like, there's a conversation about boundaries to be had for sure, obviously don't go and tell people about heavy things without their permission, but that term has caused so many people to be afraid to share their authentic lived experiences with people who do want to know, who have given their consent. We need a new term that conveys the importance of consent before bringing up potentially harmful topics, but that doesn't stigmatize people asking for help. Do you guys remember that TikTok video a few years ago with the therapist saying her clients were "trauma dumping" on her? That term has got to go.)
Second, to anyone who may be lurking and wants to reach out, too: I'll be here when you're ready! And until then, know that the posts I make are for you, too.
Third, to people who aren't survivors who are on this page: thank you for being here, too. Thank you for contributing to these conversations that help remove the stigmas, that help us feel seen and supported.
Every single message I get, whether it's a request for a headcanon or fic, or a survivor's story, or something else, is really something I treasure. Whether it's a serious message or something silly, I love hearing what you guys feel you need to say! It just... I don't know. There's something that makes me really giddy about seeing an ask. Someone wanted to tell me, in particular, these things, and read my response, in particular, to it. It feels so much more personal and sweet and authentic than what Twitter cultivates.
Lastly: I JUST REALLY FUCKING LOVE YOU GUYS A LOT, OKAY????

A Simple Apology to Reconnection
Pairing: heeseung x reader 🍓MASTERLIST
Genre: fluff, angst
Wc: 550+
Summary: As words unknown to Heeseung slipped from his mouth, you felt as if you were stabbed in the chest. Overtime, you both hope to fix everything.
Heeseung sat on the edge of his bed, staring at his phone screen with a mix of frustration and worry. The text messages he had sent to you, his girlfriend, remained unanswered, and it felt like an eternity since you both had last spoken. You had argued over something trivial, a misunderstanding blown out of proportion by emotions running high. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, trying to gather his thoughts. He knew he had to apologize properly, to make things right between you two. Standing up, he grabbed his jacket and decided to go see you in person. Maybe talking face-to-face would help clear the air.
He arrived at your apartment building and took a deep breath before ringing the doorbell. When you opened the door, he could see the pain in your eyes, and his heart sank. "Can we talk?" he asked softly. You hesitated for a moment before nodding and stepping aside to let him in. You sat down in the living room, and he started speaking, his words sincere and heartfelt. "I'm sorry, love. I know I messed up, and I shouldn't have said those things. I was upset, but that's not an excuse for hurting you." You listen quietly, your expression softening slightly as Heeseung spoke. You appreciated his apology but couldn't shake off the hurt you felt. "I know you're sorry, Heeseung. But sometimes words can't be unsaid," you replied, your voice barely above a whisper. He nodded, understanding the gravity of his words. "I promise to do better, love. I'll work on controlling my temper and communicating more clearly with you. You mean everything to me, and I hate seeing you upset because of me." You looked at him, your eyes shimmering with unshed tears. You could see the sincerity in his eyes, and a part of you wanted to forgive him instantly. But the pain of your argument still lingered. "I need some time, Heeseung," you admitted. "I need to process everything and figure out where we stand." Heeseung nodded again, respecting your need for space. "I understand. Take all the time you need. I'll be here, waiting for you." He reached out to hold your hand, his touch gentle and reassuring. Days passed, and he continued to give you the space you needed. He sent you occasional messages, not pressuring you for a response but letting you know he was thinking of you. He also made an effort to work on himself, reflecting on his actions and seeking ways to improve your relationship.
One evening, as Heeseung was about to head home from work, his phone buzzed with a text from you. "Can we meet for dinner tonight?" the message read. Heeseung's heart leaped with hope and anticipation as he quickly replied, "Of course, where should I meet you?" You both met at your favorite restaurant, and over dinner, you talked openly and honestly about your feelings. You expressed your concerns and doubts, and Heeseung listened attentively, promising to address each one. By the end of the evening, you had laughed together, shed a few tears, and most importantly, reaffirmed your love and commitment to each other. As you walked out of the restaurant hand in hand, he felt a sense of gratitude and determination. Your argument had been a wake-up call, a reminder of how precious your relationship was. He vowed to cherish you even more, to be patient, understanding, and always willing to work through your differences together.

I Hope I Can Keep You Warm
(tw: Kurapika's trauma, nudity, angst)
(no this is not smut. For now at least. there is some nice wholesome fluff to make up for the angst. word count- 2,982)
Panting breaths, echoing footsteps, and the sound of snow underneath your boots crunching underneath you reverberate through the crisp night air uninterrupted. Your mind is racing with panic while your body is filled with adrenaline. One thing you know for certain is- you were beginning to regret your decision to help Kurapika with this dangerous mission.
"I'm surprised you even asked me to meet you here," You sit across from Kurapika in a small, dimly lit cafe, "When's the last time we've seen each other in person."
Kurapika pushes aside the tinge of guilt he feels from your words and responds emotionlessly, "I do suppose it's been quite a while. My apologies," He does feel genuinely sorry for not reaching out to you, but he has been very careful as to not drag his friends down with him.
"I know you're busy, but it's nearly impossible to get ahold of you," You take a sip from your warm drink, glancing down at the table sitting between you and him, your eyes suddenly drawn to the intricate details of the wood, "Everyone is worried about you, you know? Including me."
He feels taken back by your sincerity, "I know. I wish I didn't have to burden their minds as I have been."
A lingering sigh passes through your lips, "But there's nothing you can do about it?"
"Indeed."
"Yeah, I thought you might say that," You set your drink back down on the table and cross your arms, still finding it difficult to meet his gaze as you're pouring out your thoughts to him, "I understand your way of thinking, Kurapika. I really do. I used to think the same way, but this is just too destructive for you."
"I understa-"
"You don't," You sigh again and sit up straight, making direct eye contact with him, "Not really anyway."
Kurapika wasn't used to someone conversing with him so bluntly and intelligently. Leorio told him off all of the time but it was hard to make sense of his words as he shouts out his thoughts incoherently. Maybe (Y/N) actually did understand him. You would be the first person to have a firm grasp of his point of view.
"I can lecture you as much as I want but it's not really gonna change anything, is it? I'm not going to deter you from being stubborn and always working alone," You uncross your arms and set your elbow on the table, resting your chin in the palm of your hand, "Just answer a call from them once in a while. It's the least you can do to repay them."
His eyes widen in surprise for a brief second before he nods, letting out a sigh, "Very well. You're right."
"I know."
A quiet chuckle escapes his lips as he rolls his eyes. It's the first time in a long time that he's laughed, or smiled for that matter.
"So, why did you ask me to meet you here?" You ask him with furrowed brows.
He bites his lip nervously, realizing the only reason he asked you to spend time with him for the first time in a long time was only for a dangerous favor he needed to ask of you. The blonde-haired man can feel your eyes boring holes into the back of his head and speaks up, "I need your help with something."
"Go figure," You already had deduced that he must need your help with something before you even accepted his invitation, "Care to elaborate?"
"It's a dangerous task and you are more than welcome to decline," He lets out a deep breath, "I have a lead on the location of a couple of pairs of scarlet eyes but the environment is less than ideal."
"Are they in a volcano or something?"
He shakes his head, "Mountains. The terrain and weather are dangerous and I'm quite unfamiliar with them. I'm unsure if I could survive by myself."
It's your turn to be surprised. It's very unlike Kurapika to admit something like that. He's a logical man, for the most part, but when it comes to the scarlet eyes- all that logic flies out the window.
"I'll go with you," Comes your quick response.
"I have yet to explain the rest of the details-"
You cut him off, "No need. If you're actually asking for help, I know you're desperate. I know I've been really tough on you today but that's because I want you to seek out help. I want you to seek out MY help. I want to help you, Kurapika. In any way, I can. I care about you."
The kurta suddenly feels flustered, looking away from you with a hint of a blush encasing his face, "Thank you, (Y/N). That truly means a lot to me," He hesitates for a moment, before turning back to look at you, "I care about you too. I won't allow you to get injured during this mission."
"I'll have to hold you to that!"
The atmosphere between the two of you becomes less heavy as you flash him a bright smile. You spend the rest of the day with him, just chatting and catching up.
Oh, if only you could turn back time.
"(Y/N)! Take my hand! Quickly!" Kurapika holds his hand out for you, the sense of urgency and fear very real in his voice.
You take his hand and he pulls you up out of the deep snow. You and him take off running again, the sound of multiple footsteps catching up to you. This effectively makes both you and Kurapika worry about whether you will both escape this lethal situation with your lives.
"Kurapika! This way!" You branch off to the right, taking a small path that eventually leads to a small cliff.
The blonde man freezes just before the cliff edge, while you dive headfirst in, leaping off the cliff without hesitation.
"(Y/N)!!" He reaches out for you, however, he's far too late to stop you.
You've never heard him shout so intensely, although you set this thought aside as you prepare for your landing. You tuck and roll as you meet the ground, your clothes disheveled and soaked. The jump wasn't all-too-far and the heavy layers of snow helped to shelter your fall a little.
"Jump!" You shout up to him, "It's not that far!"
He turns back for a moment, seeing a flashlight beam in the near distance through the trees. The kurta takes a deep breath before backing away from the cliff to run and leap off of it. He tucks and rolls as you did, and lands unharmed. He immediately grabs your hand and drags you along with him as he breaks out into a run again.
"We can lose them," He looks straight ahead of him, "However, that was incredibly stupid and dangerous!"
"Sorry. I thought it was the best option," You reply to him with a small shrug.
"And your judgement was correct," He notes the lack of footsteps in the distance, "Let's run a little bit further. We should be able to rest shortly."
You nod in agreement. After about 15 more minutes of running through snow-covered trees, you and Kurapika finally agree that you've lost them. At least for now.
"Let's take cover in there," He points out a small cave in the near distance, "It's probably our safest option."
"Yeah, that's a good idea."
With that being said, you and Kurapika enter the cave. It's a team effort to make a cozy campfire for you both to warm up next to. You take your backpack off and offer Kurapika some rations and water from your canteen.
He takes a sip of water, wiping the excess water from his mouth afterward, "I am still in disbelief that we did it."
"It was hard. Grueling even, but we did it," You let out a sigh of relief, "All we have to do now is get home."
Kurapika nods, although he feels complicated about hearing the word 'home'. What home? The kurta had nowhere and nobody to return to. He would just go on another mission to retrieve another pair of his brethren's eyes. He sighs, knowing damn well he doesn't deserve a home to return to in the first place. He should be dead like his brethren. In fact, there were many times a day when he questioned why he was the one that was allowed to live, although he would only allow these thoughts to fuel his hatred and thirst for vengeance.
He jumps at the warm touch of your hand on his thigh, "Kurapika? Are you okay?"
The way the campfire reflects in your eyes and plays against the delicate details of your face is not lost on him. His feelings of hopelessness are now replaced with something else. Something unwanted. Something he isn't sure how to react to.
He coughs into his hand in a pathetic display as a way to distract himself, "Y-yes, I'm fine."
Fortunately for him, the sound of the wind and snow picking up outside catches your attention. You stand up from where you were sitting and walk towards the entrance of the cave, "It looks like a snowstorm is blowing in."
"Is that so?" He's still trying to collect himself.
You nod, "Yeah, I think we're going to be stuck here for the night."
"We have plenty of rations if that is the case," He does his best to ease your concerns.
"Yeah, you're right," You sit back down beside him, pulling your knees up to your chest and leaning your head against them, "So, tell me what you're thinking. Looks like we have plenty of time to talk."
The blonde-haired man folds his arms across his chest, looking straight ahead at the crackling fire in front of him, "Or we could sit in silence."
"Suit yourself," You continue to watch him intently, "I have a feeling you'll give in eventually."
He turns to look at you, "And why is that?"
You shrug casually, "Just a feeling. Besides, it's not like we have much else to do."
His eyes fall on the fire again as he grows quiet for several moments, "You don't have family left either, (Y/N)?"
You raise an eyebrow at his sudden question, "No. Not any I know of anyway. Why do you ask?"
He shakes his head, "I was merely curious."
"Elaborate."
"Who do you go home to?" He refuses to make eye contact with you, the campfire flames reflecting in his grey eyes.
You cock your head slightly in confusion, "Nobody, I guess."
"Then why go home?"
You open your mouth to respond, but you come up empty. You cross your arms as you try to think of a good response to his strange question, "Where else would I go?" You end up countering him with another question.
"That's not really an answer," He points out to you.
"I know but it's the only logical response I can come up with," You feel stumped as you try to think up another response, "Are you meaning to say there's no point in going home if you don't really consider it a home?"
He feels a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. For some reason, he can't help but feel glad that you were able to read him so easily with such vague questions, "Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking."
"I guess in that case, I don't have a home?" You explain to him, lost in thought, "I've traveled a lot and stayed in a lot of shady areas. No place I've ever lived in has felt like home to me. They're just places to return to until I find that home."
"That's an interesting answer," He takes in your words, wondering if he could think the same way that you do.
You and him continue to talk throughout the night, the wind and snow swirling around dangerously outside. Thankfully, the cave provides reliable shelter so you don't feel the chill of the wind as badly as you should. You still find yourself shivering, holding your hands out in front of the fire in a futile effort to warm yourself.
It's late into the night now. Kurapika has been talking with you on and off, although he's been acting pretty vague. Your shivering hasn't ceased and you can feel yourself growing more and more exhausted.
"(Y/N)," Kurapika calls out to you but doesn't receive a response as you're beginning to nod off, "(Y/N)!"
Your eyes shoot back open, "W-what is it?" Your teeth are chattering from the cold.
"Have you not been able to get warm?" He's regarding you with an intense gaze now, "You've been shivering this whole time."
You shake your head in response, "My clothes are still really wet and cold."
"(Y/N)!' He shoots up from his spot and races up to you, "You're probably suffering from hypothermia! Why didn't you say something sooner??"
"I thought the fire would dry my clothes enough," You're considerably drowsy, slurring your words as you do your best to focus and keep your eyes open and alert.
He presses the back of his hand against your forehead, "You're freezing. We need to get you out of those wet clothes. Now."
"W-wait! I don't want to strip naked!" You make a lax effort to cover yourself with your arms, "I would get embarrassed."
"We are far beyond that being our biggest concern," He can't ignore your worries and grabs both of the blankets out of your backpack, "You can cover yourself with these while you change."
You nod as you cover yourself with them. Kurapika turns around to give you some privacy as you strip yourself down and wrap both blankets around yourself, "You can turn back around, Kurapika."
He lets out a relieved sigh when he turns around and sees you sitting upright, wrapped in warm blankets, "Good. We still need to warm you up as quickly as possible."
He adds a few more sticks of wood to the fire, adding to its intensity. Next, he goes through both of your backpacks in search of something that can be heated up over the fire. He decides to heat up a small can of beans and gives it to you.
You eat it quickly and you can feel yourself warming up a little bit, however, the wind from the snowstorm certainly isn't helping. You're still shivering.
Kurapika racks his brain for ways to keep your body temperature high enough to avoid hypothermia. Even if he raises it a tiny bit, the wind chill from outside still reaches the cave. It still reaches you. The person Kurapika cares most about. The person who is trying her hardest to hold her eyes open and stay conscious.
He comes to a realization.
I can't lose you.
Wordlessly, he begins stripping himself down. You watch him curiously, trying to figure out just what he's doing. You're having a harder time coming to logical thoughts than normal. You can feel your cheeks heating up as you finally decide to look away from him.
"(Y/N)."
"Yes?" You still refuse to look directly at him.
"I'm coming under the blankets with you," He says bluntly.
Your jaw almost drops in shock, "W-what do you mean?? You're completely naked!"
"Exactly," He starts, jumping into his explanation, "Skin-to-skin contact is going to be the best way to keep each other warm throughout the night. It's embarrassing, however, I refuse to let anything happen to you."
"Right, I forgot about that," A sigh escapes your lips, "Sorry, I can't think straight."
"It's not your fault," He takes a few steps closer to you, "Besides that-" He freezes, adamant to let the next string of words fall from his mouth, "I want to be vulnerable with you. You understand me. And I want to understand you too. Please allow me this."
You can't stop yourself from turning to face him with a surprised expression, "You mean that?" You feel your cheeks flush even more than they already have and you look away again.
"It's okay. You can look," He's unsure where this sudden burst of confidence came from, "If possible, I would like to give my whole self over to you," His full face is definitely flushed red but he ignores this feeling of butterflies in his gut.
You slowly turn to face him again, "The feeling is mutual," You hold the blanket open for him to join you.
He feels even more flustered, inwardly gushing at your beauty momentarily before sitting impossibly close to you. He lets out a deep breath as he lifts you up to straddle his lap while facing him. You let out a surprised squeak as he does so, feeling somehow overjoyed and bittersweet at the situation that has brought you closer to this stubborn man.
He wraps his arms around your back tightly as your thighs cling to his back. The kurta pulls your head flush against his chest, moving one of his hands to the back of your head, petting you ever-so-delicately.
"I hope I can keep you warm throughout the night."
"I don't think you'll have a problem with that," You can't help but wonder if your blonde-haired friend is having the same impure thoughts as you are. And if he is, you're wondering how you can get him to initiate these thoughts.
However, for now, you decide you'll just enjoy his warmth, erratic heartbeat, and candid vulnerability.
He speaks up suddenly, "This is the closest thing to a home I have ever felt."
His words come as a shock to you, although, you can't disagree with him. You understand him better than anyone. Because in the end, you two are the same.
Maybe you won't regret coming with him after all.

Getting into an Argument with them
Dwight, Jane, Adam
Dwight Fairfield
When Dwight gets upset, you know he's either been pushed to the limit, or it was just that bad.
He doesn't like to argue with anyone.
But today was just Hell.
Shitty trials, shitty killers, shitty survivors.
It was all shitty.
So he was short.
And when you commented on that.
"Well, you're just a fucking bitch!"
And it will come out of nowhere.
When Dwight's upset, things just come out of his mouth.
It's like he's a whole other person.
Immediately, he'll realize what he said.
And he'll feel so bad about it that he shocked himself into silence.
He'll just make incoherent sounds trying to form an apology.
After about a minute of stuttering, he'll run into your arms and pull you into the tightest hug.
"I'm sorry; I didn't mean that! I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry!-"
And he will start crying too.
He'll continue blubbering apologies until you're able to stop him.
If you don't stop him, he'll go on for hours.
He'll remind you how much you mean to him. How much he loves you.
He might even be begging at your feet for forgiveness.
These arguments are extremely rare, so cut him some slack.
If you're upset anytime, he'll understand.
In the meantime, he'll do everything you like to make it up to you.
Because he loves you; and he never wants to lose you.
Jane Romero
Jane is very vocal when she's upset.
It doesn't matter what happened. You'll know when she's upset.
Usually, she tries to stay out of everyone else's path.
She doesn't like taking out her anger on people who don't deserve it.
If you accidentally cross her path while she's upset, she'll probably snap at you.
Most likely, she'll tell you fuck off.
You have two options at this point: walk away or engage with her.
If you walk away she'll likely scoff at you.
"Oh, now you're too good for me?"
When she gets angry she just lashes out.
If you engage with her, get ready for a screaming battle.
Jane has a very loud voice and she isn't afraid to use it.
No matter how loud you yell, she'll find a way to yell louder.
And even if you do try to yell over her, she'll keep interrupting you while you're talking.
She has a habit of shutting people down when she's upset.
It's a: my way or the highway type of deal.
It's best to give her space.
Give her some time to cool off before approaching her again.
She'll be very embarrassed and apologize sincerely.
She knows what she did was wrong and, even if why she was upset was your fault, she shouldn't have said those things.
She's very good about fessing up to her mistakes, even though she doesn't like to.
She won't be upset if you're angry with her. She knows she would be too if she were in your shoes.
After a little time to decompress she wants to talk about what happened.
"Bottling up your emotions isn't healthy."
She knows she has a temper, and she wants to work on it.
She's aware she isn't perfect. She knows she has flaws.
But she's willing to work on them with you.
Because she loves you and can't imagine a world without you.
Adam Francis
It's very rare that Adam gets upset.
He's usually very mild-mannered and calm.
Being one of the more mature survivors, he knows how to control his emotions.
However, like everyone else, he has his breaking point.
And, well it's very hard to reach that breaking point, it is achievable.
He's always around to lend an ear or help anybody in need.
But, the stress does get to him occasionally.
Adam is the one who is usually mediating fights between other survivors.
But when he's upset, he isn't going to be helping anyone.
If anything, he'll make it worse.
But he isn't doing it on purpose.
When he gets upset he's very short and sarcastic.
And that usually creates more tension.
He isn't one to yell, instead, he'll try and seclude himself or give very short snippy answers.
Or, he'll give you the silent treatment.
He won't let you know that he's upset. He doesn't want to start a verbal argument with you.
Mostly because he knows it won't fix anything.
If you passed him enough, he may snap at you.
"Yes, I'm angry. Now could you leave me the fuck alone?"
He won't shout, but he'll be very stern.
Like he talks through his teeth and tries not to yell.
Kind of like a growling.
Then he'll storm off.
Don't follow him.
It's better to just let him have his alone time.
After he's calmed down, he'll return to you and apologize for his behavior.
He'll want to discuss what had happened and what led up to the chain of events.
And how things could have played out better.

It may seem unnecessary at the moment. But it's only because Adam loves you and never wants to lose you.
