Today's topic- the change in animation in LMK

I know like the majority of the Fandom has probably been sent to the ER after season 5 animation (or the emotion couldn't tell) but I think someone said that the animation slightly changed from like the Pilot to s 1-3, somewhere there, so like 3 different animation at this point, maybe??

Alright here's my thoughts

When I first watched LMK, I fell IN LOVE with the fluid motions, the active movement, the anime-style Influence, the exaggeration, the most random fun moments, pop ups, yse of environment, angles, camera movement, facial and body expression and other stuff I don't know the name of

Now as someone who's never watched Anime, please don't kill me, I don't exactly know what that looks like, but try going anywhere on the internet without tripping down the stairs and falling into the basement of ANIME

Also, I'm used to more rigid, beautiful backrounds, great lighting, or basic show animation. Such as Trollhunters, Amphibia, The Owl House, Big City Greens, Ninjago, How to Train your Dragon, Carmen Sandiego and others

So as you can see, this was new to me, and I fricken loved it

Now I can tell there definitely has been change from the Pilot to season 4, more refined, less sloppy

So, when season 5-

Oh dear, I love you Wild Brain, I really do, Ninjago and Carmen Sandiego WERE BEAUTIFUL

I will say this, this is a new artstyle, they need practice, and I'm sure it'll improve, but this is not that time it's time to CRITISIZE GET THE RED PEN (maybe I am an English Teacher)

Now I will say, they used some angles pretty well, such as using the environment to show emotion/tension, like when it would Pam out and something was blocking the two characters, from Wukong to Macaque to the poll in the Pagado and then a mountain between MK and Wukong near the end- look for its cool- someone pointed it out here on Tumblr can't remember name sorry

2nd, the expressions look really typical, like I miss the shot eyebrow from Wukong, or the the pathetic puppy eyes of MK, or the :3 for Mei, or the furious faces of Pigsy, the sparkly pure joy of Sandy, the chaotic gremlinness of MO, the evil Edit maker smiles of Macaque (I've seen your tiktoks) ALL THE LITTLE EXTRA THAT MADE THE EXPRESSIONS AND HUMOR/TENSION/EMOTION BETTER

3rd, the movements. Seen especially in the second episode when they escape. It's just, so basic running, like compare them running to MK's run in s2 running from the LBD and then when he ran in s4 away from the Ink scroll. Just so much more fear and dread. Also talking bout LBD, her voice actor? Phenomenal as always? Her movements and how they animate her? She seems more like a red headed doll with button eyes than the horror of something like FNAF(haven't played FNAF so can't really compare) what I'm saying is she seemed less huanting, a weary, fear-instilling, and bone-chilling(shut up let me pun) presence this time around, which really makes the scene less dramatic, but the camera angles, voice acting, and some animation still make it somewhat good.

Okay, this post is getting long and I can rant all day, and that's not even with me rewatching the show to pick it apart, someone probably already has good for them I'll look for it👍

In conclusion, comes of more dull, simple, rough, and rushed. S5 story, which has some problems, really hit deep in the last few episodes, mostly MK and Wukong, and if the studio beforehand continued animating, then I think it would have been a masterpiece, really sad to see the wasted potential

I know it's a new studio, but I wish they took more time to practice and learn, and maybe do it on a season that wasn't like the big reveal and end (I'd say a more happy season but let's be honest the Trauma train ain't stopping for a LONG TIME)

so, I guess I'll give it a 4/10, points for using the backround to storytell, still got some great angles, some funny bits here and there (the soldiers where a joy), action scenes were somewhat good, not a lot can't judge more, and pity points because I know they're still learning

What’s your favorite episode of Leverage/Leverage Redemption so far? You’ve inspired me to re-watch it for the 3rd time and it always blows my mind that every episode is SO GOOD.

It's really hard to choose a favorite for Leverage and it's sequel because, as you said, it's just SO GOOD. All of it. Even the 'worst' episodes of this show are light years better than a lot of shows 'best' episodes. It's amazing.

I rambled about the OG show and episodes here. And might do a similarly rambling post once i'm in S2 of Leverage Redemption and refreshed my memories of the newer episodes a bit. I've only watched them once, after all, while I've watched the original Leverage... a lot.

Like you said, the episodes are all SO GOOD. While I might skip around a bit while watching Star Trek or an Arrow-verse show or Stargate... Leverage? Every episode is watched. There isn't a single episode that makes me even go 'meh' because they're all '!!!!' types. Which makes it so hard to pick favorites.

However, if I had to pick two episodes from the two shows - one from each - that tie into each other extremely well, I'd have to go with The Van Gogh Job and The Jackal Job.

The Van Gogh Job from S4 the OG show was unique when it first aired, though S5 did a similar type of episode with The DB Cooper Job. While the main plot of the episode in the present was being told, there were events in the past that were pertinent to their job in the present being told in flashbacks where the actors who made up the main cast played entirely different characters in the past. Of the two flashback style episodes in the original show (not counting the Rashomon Job which was a flashback episode, it was just that all the flashbacks were to the main cast's own past so it was a different flavor of flashback ep) this first one was definitely the superior of the two.

There was so much going on in the episode that it was pretty unflinching about discussing. Racism and interracial relationships is front and center in this episode. Leverage has a pretty prominent interracial relationship going on between Parker and Alec Hardison already, but this episode was pretty frank about how these kinds of relationships have been historically treated in the United States. How black people have been historically treated.

While Beth and Aldis are still playing a very likable couple who are very much in love, the episode really plays with expectations about the other actors. Christian is put in the position of Charlie's supervising officer who treats him well enough but still makes racist decisions because they're easier on him than doing what's right. Timothy plays a sheriff who protects Charlie when he sees injustice in front of him, but refuses to stand up to the status quo that would potentially see Charlie lynched for just falling in love with a white woman who loved him back. Gina plays their one ally, who attempts to help Dorothy run away with Charlie. And in the end, it's fear of navigating that prejudiced world which holds Dorothy back from taking that final step to run away with Charlie.

The whole episode is an unflinching look at how bad prejudice towards black people was in the forties and fifties... but also how bad it still is today, though that part is subtler. The whole episode is heartbreaking because Charlie and Dorothy never get any resolution to their parting. Charlie traveled the world and returned too late. Dorothy who never left her home town had already passed away. And while they can speculate about her actions regarding the Van Gogh and the Wurlitzer, Charlie will never be able to hear it from her directly that she still loved him as he still loved her.

The Jackal Job is a similarly themed episode. Like the Van Gogh Job, it features flashbacks to a secondary plot where the main cast actors play new roles. Most notably, Gina plays the part of the legendary grifter they're trying to help in the present. A woman who fell in love with another woman, who was in an abusive situation. These two woman run away together and raise a child together. And if not for the prejudice of the times, would have no doubt chosen to get married. As it was, they gave one another power of attorney over each other. As close to legal marriage as they could manage at the time.

It's prejudice and abuse that drives them apart and keeps them apart for decades. And once again the episode is unflinching in it's examination, juxtaposing a much maligned queer relationship alongside an abusive but 'acceptably heterosexual' relationship. And while, yes, queer relationships can be abusive too, the question the episode subtly asks is if the abusive relationship is more acceptable for being a straight one than the loving one is for being queer... then the problem isn't really with the people in the loving relationship but the ones who judge them for loving 'wrong'.

The Jackal Job doesn't just tackle bigotry towards queer people, however. It also tackles ageism and ableism in the form of the abuse that Stella is facing from the conservatorship she's been placed under. Her alzheimers has made her an unreliable witness in crimes being perpetrated against her by the very person who was appointed to take care of her. And she was being gaslit over her mind playing tricks on her during a time when her mind was essentially playing tricks on her. It's a horrifying position for her to be in with no one on her side until Breanna discovers what's going on and brings the team in to help.

One of the inspirations for this episode was likely the fight over Nichelle Nichols conservatorship, which was making headlines at the time. Given the show's close ties to Star Trek, it seems extremely likely that this episode was written specifically to shine a light on Nichelle's circumstances at the time.

Vi på Saltkråkan or Ferien auf Saltkrokan as I am used to calling it, using the English title feels entirely wrong - I always watched it as a film but it is originally a series. I have a CD with just the audio from one of the films and I can still follow along easily without the visuals, I know it by heart. One of my best childhood experiences has got to be visiting the island it was filmed on. All of Astrid Lindgren is comfort but this one especially.

Father Ted - Just looking at the thumbnails for the episodes on YouTube cracks me up. I could watch the same scene on repeat and it would make me laugh without fail.

I even visited the farm it was filmed at. Or rather I stood outside the gates and lovingly gazed at it. If I ever get another chance, I want to go inside. Graham Linehan is utterly despicable but he also created two of my favourite shows and he can't take that away from me. The Young Ones - Sometimes I need some guys to bash each others' heads in, scream from the top of their lungs how much they hate each other and threaten Thatcher with a bomb. It's loud and alternative and I don't understand all of the dialogue acoustically, but it is nevertheless a comfort watch. Or maybe exactly because of that, because it drowns out my own thoughts for a while.

Arrested Development - I've seen it countless times - and yes, this includes S4 and S5. I love the fourth season, and I actually prefered the original version since it meant I could watch the Buster heavy episodes. I love that mother boy, I also have mommy issue.

Scrubs - I started secretly watching Scrubs when I was in 3rd or 4th grade on the weekends when my parents and sister were away. In some ways, it explained life to me. It is very, very dear to me and if you put aside the offensive stuff, it is a deeply human, heartfelt and moving series.

Monk - It is intrinsically linked to my mother since I used to watch it with her. We even had dedicated Monk cookies and would make a whole thing out of it. It was such a novel experience to see a character on TV and recognize parts of myself, and comforting when I was really struggling with being different, being autistic.

Elementary - Joan and Sherlock's relationship is so beautifully portrayed and Sherlock is another character I can relate to. I love the setting of their brownstone, it's dark, cluttered and full of weird paraphernalia but also cozy, a home.

New Girl - I've seen that show so many times and I doubt I will ever tire of it.

What We Do In The Shadows has quickly become another quintessential comfort watch.

As for the tenth series... I am torn between Please Like Me, Hannibal and Queer as Folk US and I can't decide. But I have a thing for the numbers 9, 3 and 12, and 9 listed shows plus 3 I am undecided on makes 12 in total and that pleases me immensely so I'll leave it it at that.

As I’m sure they already knew what S6 was going to be about, as they pretty much filmed them back to back. So there is no accidental moment. Everything has a purpose. For me this opening shot is one of those. 

Notice how Kieu My is looking and has her body angled to her left, instead of facing straight down the centre so she can look at everyone. When we get another angle, well, look who is on the left hand side...  Kieu My is looking straight at Fatou here. She then goes on to smile, and then starts showing them all the steps. I see what you’re doing here Miss Vu. 

Fatou just cracks me up in this whole clip, as even when she is out of focus, you can see all of her attention is on Kieu My, and the girl is just stunned (Girl thoughts, head lesbian)

Even when Kieu My draws attention to Nora and is just standing still watching the other girls do the moves, Fatou’s eyes don’t leave Kieu My.

I’ve noticed she does this quite a bit when she’s flirting, and I feel like a mother going ‘Oh my god, my kid’ 😳🙈, and want to avert my eyes.

The cherry on the scene is Ava’s reaction! Number 2 in the Ava interrupting a  Kieutou scene

I find it interesting how in this moment, and in the 3rd time she interrupts their moment, it is a direct cut to her. So it isn’t just Ava in the background, or beside one of them making a face. No, it’s a direct pull away from Kieu My and Fatou, so you’re taken out of their moment. It helps to empathise the difference regarding their feelings and opinion towards Kieu My and that there is sort of a 3rd variable/player in this relationship.

Can I just take this moment to also praise Nhung and Sira for not just their acting (because they are killing it so far) but specifically their comedic timing. It was an aspect of the relationship that I wasn’t expecting, but I’ve found myself laughing at pretty much all of their interactions so far in S6 at some point. The writers are just hitting the gay and oblivious key perfectly, but Nhung and Sira are just knocking it out of the park with their delivery of it.

Adora's body did so reflexively and to her surprise, the air beneath her boots felt stable and calm. Gingerly, she leaned her weight forward and found that the invisible surface did not give way.

"There you go, now you're getting it," Catra whispered after sensing the lingering tension in her ward's body. She leaned in closer such that her chin rested in the crook of Adora's neck. "Don't worry, I've got you."

A few dreamy steps further, the sorceress looked over and caught Adora staring. With an enticing grin, she returned the favor.

"Look at you. You're a natural."

"Heh...I guess so."

"And here I thought you were some magic-less flower delivery girl."

"You're pretty magical yourself."

A project due date is approaching, so naturally, the library would be the best place for Luz and Amity to study. But as it turns out, even the library can offer its own share of distractions – that is, if you’re sitting with the right person.

Hi, thanks for the ask! Since the number of WIPs I have are well into double figures, I’ll probably just choose a bunch of random ones for these out of the ones I’ve got on my computer.

2. Post a line from your WIP without context.

Once they had returned home, he had wanted nothing more than to head up to his room and hide, but his uncle’s iron grip on his upper arm pulling him into the drawing room had thwarted that wish. He hadn’t dared fight against the man. Uncle Cary had made it quite clear upon his arrival back from school that he expected to be obeyed in all matters, and George knew his future was far too uncertain to risk provoking his only remaining family member with displays of defiance. 

4. Describe the setting of your WIP.

Hmm, I think I’ll go for my JS&MN AU for this one, an extract of which I have posted here. So this is basically an AU set in the universe of the novel Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell--for anyone who might be unfamiliar with it, it’s a book (and a pretty decent TV adaptation) set in a regency England where magic was once frequently practised but has declined after the Raven King, a medieval magician who conquered the north of England with a fairy army, left his kingdom behind to return to Faerie. The fic is set in Poldark’s s1 timeline, so about fifteen/twenty years before the events of JS&MN canon, featuring Dwight, Ross and Francis as magicians, George as a fairy nobleman from a neighbouring Faerie kingdom, and Elizabeth as a magician’s wife whom George ends up taking an interest in.

6. Search for the word “dream” in your WIP. If you find it, paste the line and explain the context.

I haven’t been able to find it in any of the extracts I have on my computer, but I’m sure it’s probably there somewhere in one of my notebooks. Unfortunately the majority of those are in a box over three hundred miles away so I can’t really check through them ha.

8. What is your biggest challenge?

Actually getting anything finished. Honestly, it depends on the individual fic but for a long time it’s been writer’s block. My undergrad dissertation took a lot out of me and I wasn’t really in the mood for writing for a long time afterwards. S5 airing gave me a bit of a kick up the arse writing-wise though, so I’d say my biggest challenge at the moment is trying to figure out where everything goes in my super long post s5 AU where George gets shot by Hanson. At the moment I’ve just got loads and loads of random bits with only a vague idea of what order they go in and how they join up to each other, and it’s getting to be so long I just keep putting off planning it out properly. Also finishing that last chapter of The Cornish Way damn I can’t even remember when I last updated that I feel so guilty about it ha.

10. How would you describe your WIP’s narrative style?

Well, as I’ve already mentioned I have a whooole bunch of WIPs, but I always write in 3rd person (1st person grates on me, both reading and writing, for some reason--I don’t know why). I’ve got several multi-chap fics in the works, some short, some long. Most of my shorter multi-chap fics tend to alternate between Elizabeth’s POV and George’s, but my long post s5 AU will feature the majority of the characters’ POVs at some point, depending on when they’re needed, though since the fic is George-centric, his perspective is the main one. When it comes to my one-shots, they’re usually either from George or Elizabeth’s perspectives, sometimes both if it’s a particularly long one. I tend to lean towards using Elizabeth’s POV for one-shots for some reason, but there’s a fair few from George’s as well, and a couple of angsty ones told entirely from Valentine’s perspective.

12. Which character do you have the least in common with?

Since my post s5 AU includes Merceron, Hanson and Dr Penrose, I’m glad to say that I haven’t the slightest thing in common with any of those three. But if we’re talking about a main character, I’d say probably Ross. The only thing I have in common with him is a tendency to get fed up at parties ha.

14. Have you chosen birthdays for any of your characters? If so, when are they?

Not really--tbh, I’m not sure how many of them, if any, were given birthdays by WG. I tend to headcanon George’s birthday as being in October, but that’s about it.

16. What would your characters be for Hallowe’en?

Well, I’ve got a couple of WIPs set in the modern era which this could work for, but since one of them is a modern witchcraft AU (in which Elizabeth, Caroline, Demelza, Morwenna and Verity live together in Truro as a secret coven of witches, Francis is a melancholy ghost who haunts the building and they’ve never been able to exorcise, and George, their landlord’s nephew, is their baffled neighbour who only puts up with their weird shenanigans because he has a soft spot for Elizabeth), I guess that’s appropriately Hallowe’en-y ha. For that AU, I reckon Elizabeth would probably dress up as something kind of classy, like as an Ancient Greek lady or a medieval queen, something like that. Caroline would dress up as a witch, I reckon, for the sake of irony (Horace, of course, would have a complementary costume :P). Verity, I think, would make a cute angel, and one of those wood nymph/woodland fairy costumes would probably suit Demelza. Morwenna might dress up as a Hogwarts student or something like that, and Francis insists that since he is an actual, literal ghost, there’s no need for him to dress up. George, on the other hand, absolutely does not do Hallowe’en, but they still manage to drag him down from the flat upstairs, put a pair of little Devil horns on him and make him watch scary films with them. Which he hates every minute of. Absolutely. Totally.

18. What’s easier, dialogue or description?

It depends, but I generally find description easier than dialogue. When I have dialogue-heavy scenes to write, I generally write them out in my notebooks basically in script form so I can figure out where the scene is going and once that’s out of the way, I find it much easier to add all the description in around it rather than having to constantly stop to figure out what the characters are meant to be saying to each other.

20. Post a brief excerpt.

So there’s a whole load to choose from, but I’ve decided to go with this one, which is from a ghost Elizabeth AU I’ve been working on ever since the end of s4 and have been really struggling to get on with because there’s so much bloody angst in it ha :--

The days leading up to Christmas dragged slowly on, and with each long hour that passed, George found himself regretting his decision to allow their initial plans for the festivities to go ahead with ever increasing certainty. The Blameys were neither unkind nor insensitive—quite the opposite in fact; their presence seemed to restore some faint but much needed cheer to Geoffrey Charles, and the company of another boy near his own age had restored Valentine to a fraction of his usual liveliness—but he, who had never been a friend to Verity, and was not well acquainted with her husband or stepchildren, felt the constant pressure of their scrutiny, alongside the horrible awareness of his own inadequacy as their host, whenever he found himself in their company. Verity, in particular, had taken to sending him at frequent intervals, whenever she saw him decline a meal, or else stumbled across him staring up at Elizabeth’s portrait hanging above the mantelpiece in the drawing room, what he had come to refer to in his mind as Looks. Verity had always been a kind and well-meaning soul, but there was a distinct pitying quality to those Looks which he had come to both resent and despise. He could have far more easily borne it if she had scorned his conduct. Her pity, however, wounded what little care he could summon for his pride in the wake of Elizabeth’s loss—he had no need to be reminded of the wretched creature he was fast becoming every time he met her gaze.

Finally, after what seemed like an age, the morning of Christmas Eve came. It had snowed once again during the night, and upon seeing the unblemished blanket of white through the window upon waking, Valentine and young master Andrew had rushed outside, accompanied by the Blameys Senior and Junior and Geoffrey Charles, in order to enjoy it. As the young Esther, whom it had not taken George long to discover was somewhat reticent in nature, had elected to break her fast in her room, that, unfortunately, left he and Verity alone together at the dining table, save for little Ursula, who was playing quietly and contentedly with her own feet in her cradle beside his chair. At barely a few weeks old, however, she was not quite an accomplished enough conversationalist to distract Verity from engaging with him. With a barely audible sigh, George reached for a slice of toast despite his lack of appetite in a vague hope of fending off another Look which he was sure was on the verge of rearing its unwelcome head above the horizon.

“I am glad to see that the boys have regained a little of their usual cheer,” she spoke up suddenly, causing George to pause halfway towards taking a bite out of his unwanted toast; a glance her way confirmed that, despite his best efforts, he was being treated to what could only be described as a Look. “It is a terrible thing to lose one’s parent, no matter one’s age, and certainly not a burden one should face so early in life.”

1. When did you start watching Supernatural?

Way back in the day!! 2005. Though can’t remember the month. To be fair it was 14 years ago.

2. Who is your favorite in TFW?

Really the TFW shit needs to die. It was said ONCE in S5 by Dean and he was being sarcastic. Also I believe alot of Destiel/Castiel twats use it as a way to shoe horn in Castiel and put him on the same level as Sam and Dean.

So yeah the TFW shit can go away. But back to the question. I love Dean but its always been Sam for me. Loved him since the pilot.

3. Who is your least favorite in TFW?

Castiel, obviously. I used to like him back in S4/S5 when he was an actual character and Misha was actual trying to act. But now he is a waste of screen time and the more they force him into eps and how important he is to Sam and Dean. The more forced and fake it becomes.

5. Who is your favorite character (not including TFW)?

Again with the TFW shit? Lol I think a Destiel/Minion did these questions.

The Impala she is the REAL 3rd lead after all and unlike some doesn’t let the boys down or hurt them. =3

6. Who is your favorite woman in Supernatural?

Ruby 1 and 2. I also like Rowena, Eileen, Ellen, Sarah, Meg 1.

7. John or Mary?

John every day of the week. Mary is awful, she is never around when needed, she will jump on any free dick just to be away from her sons. Samantha can’t act which plus that and the bad writing makes Mary come off as an uncaring dead eye bitch.

Also not a fan of being told how amazing characters are (the best hunter in the world? OK Jan.) but when it comes to actual showing it, they are useless/need saved.

Bringing Mary back was the biggest mistake the show ever did.

8. What were your first opinions of Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack?

Sam: (from 1x01) Oh he is so good looking and adorable and so smart.

Dean: ( 1x01) Hot and funny with a cool car.

Cas: (4x02 I think) I thought he was cool. But from S6 to now I just hate him more and more. He is useless, a shitty friend and just is there to get beat up or fuck up and get away with it.....again.

Jack:  I HATED the whole Lucifer his a sprog idea back in S12, as its been done to death and done so much better. After seeing Jack in S13, I was shocked how quickly I liked him. I still do enjoy his character, I just think he gets a bit too much story lines though.

9. What’s your favorite season?

S1 and S2 will always be my fav but since I have to pick one it would be S2. I love powers!Sam and the special children and YED.

10. What’s your least favorite season?

 The later seasons can’t hold a candle to S1 and S2 but S10 is the worst by far. Demon!Dean and Mark of lame Dean was just Dean being an asshole but 100%. And that for a whole season was not fun to watch. There was also too many side characters. Even Sam’s hair looked shit.

11. Opinions on Destiel?

Why is there a Destiel question on this? We are talking about the actual show not fake ships. Anyway its a awful ship that as no moments nor is it romantic. When you have to use one character beating the shit out of another character as proof of love and your ship then thats your first clue you have an issue and your ship is fanon.

12. Do you believe Supernatural queerbaits?

Well this confirms a Destiel fan and Minion did this.

No Supernatural does not queer bait. There might be some fan-service here and there but thats it. Destiel fans not getting their way and then crying about it. Isn’t queer baiting. Just entitled shippers being assholes.

13. Seasons 1-7 or 8-14?

Season 1-7, don’t even need to think about it.

14. Favorite villain (plot wise)?

Yellow Eyes, Azazel. The first and best villain

15. Do you think they should end the Lucifer plot line?

Lucifer is so fucking done and so is Nick. They need to start dropping the dead weight from the show.

16. Who do you think has gone through more trauma (Sam, Dean, or Cas)?

Both Sam and Dean have been threw Hell and back. I will say I think Sam as gone though more trauma though.

As for Castiel - Don’t care. He was watching TV while Lucifer was using his ugly body then act’s like he can’t bear to be around Nick. He can fuck off.

17. What’s your favorite Supernatural episode?

The pilot and Mystery spot. There are more but dont wanna list them all. XD

18. Do you like case episodes?

Of course!!! Anyone that calls them fillers are morons. MOTW eps are great, we need more of them and less side character drama I don’t care about.

19. Who do you relate most to in TFW?

TFW again? Oh boy.

Sam Winchester.

20. Why do you like Supernatural?

I love horror and love hot guys so win win. lol and its nice to get a show that isn’t about a couple of teenagers breaking up and getting back together or drama shit or a boring police show.

To have a show be about the love of two brothers and no sappy boring love interesting. Fighting monsters and doing anything for each other is a breath of fresh air.

21. If you could bring back one character and kill off another who would they be?

I would kill Castiel, Charlie-sue 2.0, Mary, Nick, all the other angels, Micheal, Garth.

I would bring no one back. This show as enough old dead characters no one asked for coming back.

which stelena scenes do you think it’s underrated?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS QUESTION. 

Everyone that follows me know these two are my everything. I started watching TVD when it first came on, and from the first time Stefan and Elena made eye contact outside the boys bathroom, I was hooked. They had something few people ever find in this world. Love, loyalty, friendship, and respect. They may be fictional, but what they represented as a couple was the realest thing to me.

so, for me naturally the most underrated scene to start with is 1x01. 

Their first meeting…or so Elena thought.

This moment was pure MAGIC. Their chemistry was instant, and even though this wasn’t the first time Stefan had met Elena, it was certainly her first time laying eyes on him and you could tell she was very intrigued by what she saw. Yes, he’d wanted to get to know Elena at first, because she looked like Katherine but he did it in a respectful way unlike trying to scare the girl by pretending to be a damn crow in a cemetery. I just knew these two were going to be something special, and I wasn’t wrong.

Next, the aftermath of my favorite episode of the show, 1x10 | The Turning Point.

So, if you’re a Stelena shipper you KNOW how big of an episode “The Turning Point” was, and if you don’t then I guess you are heartless because this episode just hit every major feel I had and then some. First, there was already tension with Stefan wanting to leave town to protect Elena, and not to cause anymore trouble for her but Elena didn’t agree. 

It ends in a beautiful scene of Elena declaring her love for him, and them making sweet love in just the best way, but to me what is so special about this is the after. When they’re just lying in bed with no worries, and so in love with each other. They’re glowing, and just in the moment and even though it didn’t last long because of her finding Katherine’s picture, in this moment it was utterly perfect. 

Moving on the 1x19 & 1x20.

As much as i loved the loving scenes between SE, i also really enjoyed the not-so-loving scenes. This was one of them, because in S1 we’re shown the character of both brothers. Damon is the evil brother, and Stefan is the good brother. Stefan at his core is a good man, but he had demons that he had to face, and we’re presented with this side of him that isn’t so saintly. He has a weakness for blood, a deadly one and that’s why he shied away from human blood altogether. 

Elena had no idea and when she saw just how bad his addiction was during the pageant, she didn’t cower or run away, she helped him in the best way she knew how and even though initially Stefan didn’t want to accept it he let out his feelings and they were able to work through this. It was intense, but it was real because in real life, relationships aren’t always happy. it’s gets hard sometimes, but it’s what you do in those situations that tells the difference.

Now onto…2x05.  

Okay so maybe this isn’t really “underrated” as much as it is just the cutest little scene between SE. They had to see each other in secret, because Katherine was on the loose, and she was dangerous especially since she saw Elena as a threat. So, since they were going to out around in each in public they had to be discreet and devised a plan that they’d have a code that whatever they said to each other in disguise of a fight, they’d really be saying “i love you.” 

Just the absolute sweetest thing. 

Straight on to 2x08 | “Rose”. 

“Rose” was the episode that introduced the Originals into the picture, and Klaus who’d been searching for Katherine all these years hears about her doppelganger, Elena so she’s taken by Rose to be given to Elijah. Using Bonnie’s magical tracking skills, Stefan and Damon were able to find her and this scene is the end result. 

It’s underrated to me, because of how raw Elena’s emotions are in this scene when she sees Stefan after being apart. They way she just burrows into him like they’re the only ones in the room just melts my heart every time.

2x14 | The bittersweet beautiful lake scene of “Crying Wolf.”

I feel like everybody knows how epic of a moment this is already, but I still had to include it as being underrated, because of how it really shows what could’ve been. Stefan decides that Elena needs a weekend away so they take a trip up to her family’s cabin in the woods to be alone. She starts out by herself on the dock, and then Stefan joins her by wrapping his arms around her shoulders and they talk about their future. 

It’s so bittersweet, because in this moment they think they’re going to be together forever, but we as the audience know now that it didn’t end that way. I hate the turn that this show took from separating them, because we are shown later in S5 what they’re life could’ve been and it would’ve been beautiful. I just hate that it never came to fruition. 

2x20 | the truthfulness & beautiful goodbyes of “The Last Day.”

The Stelena scenes in this episode were definitely underrated to me, because Elena admits for the first time that she didn’t want to be a vampire. There was a build-up because of Klaus’s arrival, and so Stefan wanted to get Elena out of Mystic Falls for the day and so he took her up the mountains and told her to just say it, “it” being that she doesn’t want to be a vampire. He’d known that she didn’t want that fate, and he understood. 

What made SE so great was the respect they had for each other. Stefan may not have liked some of Elena’s decisions throughout the show, but the one thing he always respected was her CHOICE. No matter when they were together or not, her choice mattered to him and in this moment he respected her choice not to become like him. She wanted to grow up, and experience life, and he wanted that for her. 

Then when they return back to MF, Klaus is waiting and Stefan and Elena both know it’s time to say goodbye. Klaus holds the power in this moment, but SE still have their little moment. A kiss goodbye, but it’s so heart wrenching, because Stefan doesn’t want to let her go and Elena knows Klaus could kill him so she calms him down, but the love between them is so palpable in that scene it just crushed me. 

3x14 | THAT DAMN DANCE of “Dangerous Liaisons.”

SO. MUCH. SEXUAL. TENSION. 

I know people better give credit to this scene for being hot as hell! So S3 had so many epic SE moments that need no mention, but THIS one. I HAD TO MENTION. So Stefan of course had joined Klaus in order to save Damon, and became a ripper again to show his loyalty. When Elena started to search for him to get him to come home, she came up empty, but found him in Chicago where he put on this front of no longer wanting to be with her. He does eventually come back, and when Klaus sees just how much he loves Elena, he makes him shut off his humanity. 

So we get half of a season of Stefan showing the effect of having his humanity gone, and Elena dealing with that. When this dance comes up, it changes the whole game. She starts out dancing with Damon, and when he twirls her, who does she end up with? Stefan’s fine ass. That smoldering look he gives her, Elena looks so shocked, but turned on, I mean its just such a good scene and really shows that as much as he tries to push her away, and not feel anything that love is still there.

3x22 | Their last kiss with her as a human in “The Departed.”

The last episode of S3 is important, because this is really the last time we see Elena as a human mostly. There was this tension between her and Stefan all throughout the season, and even though he’d turned back on his humanity, went to the dance, and were getting back to a good place we still didn’t know where they stood. Elena has this struggle going on with which brother to choose, because she’s also grown close to Damon as well. 

So, before parting ways Stefan gives her this kiss, and he’s not trying to influence her decision, but he needed to kiss her one last time before they part, because he doesn’t know what’s going to happen. We all know she ends up choosing Stefan before she dies, but this is underrated to me, because even though Elena’s in the ‘in like’ stage with Damon, she’s still reminded that she never fell out of love with Stefan and that’s the difference. 

4x21 | Stefan helps Elena turn her humanity back on in “She’s Come Undone.”

Now to semi-unbearable season 4. I’m going to be honest, I hated S4 as a whole, because that’s when this show went downhill. I believe that sire bond was the beginning of the end, and from then on I didn’t enjoy the show like i did with S1-S3. However, S4 did have its moments, like this one. When Elena went off that bridge at the end of S3, that truly was the end of us seeing the real her. Once the sire bond stage entered, and DE entered, that’s when the BS started. Even though Stefan and Elena weren’t together though didn’t mean they didn’t care for each other. He still respected her, and her choices. He still loved her, and she him and they were there for each other. 

When Jeremy got killed, she couldn’t take it so Damon’s dumbass made her turn off her humanity unleashing the worst in herself. What a shock. Anyways, she was very unpleasant, and they realized they had to get her back to how she was so Stefan stepped in and reminded her to just calm down, and breathe. Damon then proceeded to almost kill Matt in front of her and that brought her humanity back, but it was because of the help of Stefan that she was able to do that. Damon’s face just shows how he’ll always be the 3rd wheel on a ship he was never supposed to be on. This scene is underrated just because it shows stelena’s connection, and how even if they’re not together, the chemistry they have is still there. 

6x22 | A goodbye that had me literally crying in “I’m thinking of you all the while.”

So my last underrated scene is the final goodbye before Elena left in S6, because I honestly was barely watching at this point, but I knew Nina was leaving and knew that they wouldn’t have Elena go without saying goodbye to Stefan.  There’s just so much history between them, and love that I can’t understand why this show never gave them the rekindling they deserved. What they had was so epic, and so real. I will always love them, and even though they deserved better, i’m thankful for the love story they gave us. 

Honorable mention:

I don’t know what scene this is from, but it gets honorable mention because of how adorable it is. Look at Elena’s face. A small scene, but with much meaning behind it.

2017 Re-Watch: 7x16 - The First Day of the Rest of Your Life

Okay finale. Woot, woot! We made it through the re-watch this year! Yeaaaa!

So the food symbols are pretty strong in the opening sequences here. Negan brings Sasha a plate that has apples, strawberries and pancakes on it. In keeping what I have with what I said about 7x15 and Sasha being the 3rd death, I think this fits. Pancakes most obviously go with Abraham. Apples aren't specifically Sasha, but we saw them a lot around Sasha and Maggie at Hilltop. I know strawberries don't entirely represent Tyreese either, but of the three, he died soonest after we saw all the strawberry stuff at Grady. Three different symbols that we've seen a lot around Beth , 3 Pickles, 3 deaths, with Sasha being the third.

Dwight goes to Alexandria with Rosita and something hit me about his conversation with Daryl. He says, "What I did, I was doing for someone else. She just got away." So this is a rehash of what Daryl said to him in 7x03. Daryl said he knew what Dwight did was for someone else, and that's why he (Daryl) couldn't give into Negan. Naturally we all knew instantly that he was talking about Beth. Skeptics think he was talking about Glenn or TF at large, and I'm sure that's part of it. He's staying alive and true to himself for them, and so that Glenn's death isn't in vain. But the reason he CAN is because of what Beth taught him.

So here's what occurred to me. Repeating the exact line from the earlier convo shows that there are parallels between them. Dwight was talking about a woman (not Glenn for Daryl) and that woman happened to be his love interest. So by default, we can assume the same was true of Daryl.

Also the "she just got away" line. Sherry left Dwight just like Beth left Daryl, so this line suggests that Beth also "got away."

It also jumps out at me when Dwight says, "Negan’s coming soon. Tomorrow." I'll talk about this more in my titles meta, but we've seen a lot of focus on "tomorrow." (i.e. Not Tomorrow Yet) These titles suggest things that haven't happened yet, but will soon. Now he says that Negan is coming tomorrow. I think "tomorrow," symbolizes war. War against Negan, and whatever else will happen in the next big arc. You could also argue that the fact that we have the last sunset for Sasha as one of the last scenes in the show shows that "tomorrow" will finally arrive in S8. And we already know that's true where AOW is concerned.

We see a lot of threes in this episode, including three trucks Negan shows up in. When Maggie arrives at the end, she says "phallanx out third group." Negan wants to kill three people. Says Lucille needs her three, even though he goes down to only demanding one for Sasha. There were a few others as well.  

Once Sasha agrees, he tells her they'll roll out in 45 meaning 45 minutes. Not sure what 45 represents, but it's at least the second time we've seen this number. In 6x02, the wolves attack Alexandria and Carrol is baking something. She sets the clock for 45 minutes. Maybe it's a number we should link to the Wolves in some way. Not sure.

When Carol and Ezekiel find Morgan, Ezekiel says, "Do you wish to extinguish everything of who you were?" It's interesting in terms of Morgan's development, because it shows that he's regressed. He does go with them, which suggests he didn't extinguish everything of who he is. But again, he's on a dark path right now.

I noticed some fallen trees in this episode. It seems that team family specifically blocked the road with trees. The saviors had to move them before they can get Alexandria. I've been looking at the symbol of the fallen trees as we done this re-watch. I've noticed them 3X. 

1) We saw them in 5x10, right after the storm, which is right before the music box woke up.

2) We saw them right before Denise died, which had a gazillion parallels to Beth's death.

3) And now were seeing them here. Just before start of S8, where we think we'll Beth. Just wanted to point that out.

One of the saviors ask Negan if he thinks TF put the trees in the road. He says it had crossed his mind. He says, "We got a plan B." Whoa! That really jumped out at me because of the ABCD Theory and the fact that we haven't actually seen the B's for the most part. I'll come back to that.

Let's talk about Sashraham for a minute. Check out all the Alpha Omega stuff HERE. Abraham says, "We capture and eat snakes." The only people we've ever seen eat snakes, especially the only couple, is Bethyl. If that doesn't prove Sashraham = Bethyl, I don't know what does.

Beyond the word choice, look at the entire story Sasha tells Abraham about her dream. 

He says, "How did I die?" 

She says, "You were at the beach. It was before." 

(Okay, she means before the apocalypse hit, but maybe a cloaked reference to this being about something that happened in an earlier season?)

“You got pulled under. You didn't come back up. I was trying to find you, but you were gone." 

The beach is obviously an Oceanside reference. The rest could be an analogy for what happened with Beth. Abraham represents Beth, who was pulled under by water/a current (again Oceanside). Sasha represents Daryl (remember that Maggie/Daryl/Sasha had identical anger arcs in 5x10) and she tried to find him. He was already gone, which is a reference to Daryl's "She's just gone." After Abe was gone, Sasha looked for him. Daryl searched for Beth.

Sasha finishes saying, "And then I started to drown." 

Which is very much what's happening with Daryl. He started to lose it, and he's drowning without her.

So I feel like they used Sashraham in this scene to retell Beth and Daryl's entire arc from S4/S5 and on in just a few lines.

Sasha tells Abraham. "It felt real." 

Okay, gotta harp on this for a minute. I talked about it HERE. Emily's suspicious interview referenced Beth's death feeling like a dream.

Here, we have Sasha having a dream and retelling Beth's arc. We also saw Maggie saying something very similar to this ABOUT BETH in 5x19. "Then finding out she was and then she wasn't in the same day...seeing her like that it…made it feel like none of it was ever really there…"

I've always thought that was a sneaky way for the writers to tell us that things didn't happen the way they looked like they happened.

You could also argue that Sasha's nightmare about Abraham's death was just a dream. In the same way they are living in a nightmare where he lost Beth, but she's really alive somewhere.

Abraham: "I know we just started this."

Sasha: "And this is just started."

They put a lot of emphasis on this being the start of their relationship. It's very similar to Beth and Dary. They'd just started to develop relationship. It hadn't really gone anywhere yet when they lost it. It’s also a parallel to Karen and Tyreese.

As they move toward the door, we see 8 light switches which could point toward S8.

More of the "this is living" theme: Abraham says, "Putting yourself on the line for someone else? Oh, my that is living." This is the writers defining this theme for us.

Before getting into the coffin at the Sanctuary, Sasha says, "I just need a little bottle of water and I'm fine." She needed it to take the poison pill, but remember that in Still we saw Beth holding a water bottle. There was no reason for her to have a water bottle in that shot. It focused on ladybug and she just randomly holds the water bottle in her other hand. So another parallel between Sasha and Beth.

So when things start to go bad for Negan (shooting, running, etc) he says to Simon, "Plan B it is." 

So think about this. Plan A was to use Sasha to get everything he wanted from Rick. When that didn’t work, plan B was the second lineup, where he was going to kill Carl and take Rick’s hands. I've said before that B = Beth, and I still think it does. I think this is one big foreshadow of S8. Negan’s “plan B” didn’t work. Carl didn’t die (remember Negan knocked the sheriff’s hat off), Rick didn’t buckle, and TF prevailed over the Saviors. So I think that’s foreshadows how AOW will go in S8. We saw references to Plan B twice in this episode, so it'll be interesting to see how Beth plays into that. It's almost like the writers are telling us to look for the B in S8. This IS a finale, which always kicks us into next season.

When Michonne fights Tamiel on the tower, her words are super compelling. I'd advise everyone to go and watch that part with subtitles on, because the first time I watched it, I couldn't hear what she says. She's saying the same stuff she said to Rick in the cell about how they are the ones that survive and it's going to be them. A really big theme.

Near the end, before Shiva's grand entrance, Rick tells Negan that even if he kills Carl and takes Rick's hands, Rick is still going to kill him; nothing's going to change that. He says, "You're all already dead." It's similar to the title of the episode in S2, Pretty Much Dead Already. That's the ep where walker-Sophia came out of the barn. 

In this episode, walker-Sasha came out of the coffin. So we have a parallel between Sasha and Sophia here. By extension, that's really interesting because there been so many parallels between Beth and Sophia. Of course we see parallels between Sasha and Beth, so it all works together.

Make sure and check out the Broken Tail Light theory. And the Red Object Symbolism theory. Because they use the red umbrella to lock the gate, maybe the red objects lead to imprisonment? I've always said blue = imprisonment, and red = death, or at least injury/blood. I still think that's true, but the red object was used to imprison TF at Alexandria. So maybe it's a matter of death or the death of loved ones, imprisoning members of team family in a psychological way. Definitely true for Daryl. He's emotionally/psychologically imprisoned to his grief over Beth.

It's also similar to what Michonne and Rick talked about in Say Yes. He said that if one of them lost the other, they had to still be able to go on. In other words, they couldn't allow themselves to be psychologically imprisoned by the loss. Actually, it's kind of fulfilled in this episode. When Rick thought Michonne fell off the tower, he didn't let it shut him down. She was still alive, but Rick still stood up to Negan and wasn't totally destroyed by it.

When Rick and Carl go to get Michonne and find out she's alive, the camera pans backwards and there's a black and white piece of furniture there. I'm not sure what significance of that is but it reminded me of the black and white shoe laces.

I think it's super-significant that we see the 101 Days sign at the sanctuary. It's one of the very last scenes of the episode, and I think that shows that the 101 definitely has to do with the next season. S8. The hundred and first episode of course is episode 802. And who else had a sign like this in her cell? Yahtzee.

I've also been thinking, while doing the re-watch, that there's been a drowning theme. We have the shipwreck at Oceanside which suggests drowning. Sasha talked to Abraham about her dream: him being pulled under by the current. And when Negan asked Eugene why Sasha died, Eugene says she ran out of air. I'm not sure what it means, but something. If Beth really does shipwreck on the coast, there will probably be a drowning or near-drowning incident. I'm sure there are more references than these that I've named, but I didn't really notice the them until S7.

I also think it's significant that they don't see Sasha's face after they stab her. I think it could parallel to not showing Beth's face after she went down. After all, we specifically see Sasha go down in this final scene, and then nothing else. 

We saw other characters' faces after their deaths. Tyreese's, Lori's, etc. We would have seen Glenn's and Abraham's if Negan hadn't obliterated them. (Does everyone remember the argument that the reason they didn't show Beth's face was out of respect because she was such an innocent, beloved character? Yeah, Glenn's death scene is mocking the haters for that one.)

We also don't see her get stabbed in the head, which could also be a Beth parallel.

Finally, there's Maggie's final speech about Glenn. (More beautiful every time I listen to it.) It's interesting that it covers the entire series, S1 - S7.

"From Atlanta (S1) to the farm (S2), to the prison, (S3/S4), to here (Alexandria = S5 onward), to this moment now…"

We already knew this, but it definitely seems like they're wrapping up every arc they've done between S1 and S7. I think Glenn's arc was meant to bookend this huge 7-season arc. I mean, the only thing we can say is completely different than ever before heading into S8 is that Glenn is no longer alive. Other characters have come and gone, but he, Rick, Daryl and Carol have ALWAYS been present in previous seasons, and now Glenn isn't. ☹

So yeah. That's it. That's where we are at the end of S7 and going into S8. Any other thoughts before the premiere arrives?

#TheBlacklist S5, Ep. 8 "Ian Garvey (No. 13)" Fall Finale Recap/Review

The fall finale of The Blacklist wasn't at any point a disappointment as it delivered a finale that will have everyone talking about through the hiatus. 

With Tom Keen no where to be found, Liz is worried after trying to call him a lot. They soon pick up clues to where Tom has been around from the motel to the gas station. Liz thinks that Tom is trying to kind Nick's killer. 

While Liz is searching for Tom, Tom, who happened to open the flood gates of trouble, is being held by Ina Garvery in the woods. Ian tries to make Tom talk about the suitcase but won't speak of it, not even when both Pete and his girlfriend's dead bodies in the wood clipper. Ian makes Tom call Red and telling where to meet, unaware that he and Dembe are a couple of minutes away but plays to their plan. 

With Ian gone to meet with Red, Tom escapes along with the suitcase and runs into the woods, guns a blazing. As it looked like things were coming to an end, Tom runs into a car that has Red and Dembe and gets in even after getting shot in the back. The three rushed off. 

Now with Tom being with Red, you know there's going to be some father-in-law/son-in-law bonding time happening here. As they find shelter for the moment, Tom and Red talk about not only the suitcase but the whole reason why Tom got the job to look after Liz and we see flashbacks of Tom getting the information about Liz and only interact but never to fall in love. Well, love is a powerful thing. 

Soon Ian and his men get to the house that Red, Tom and Dembe are at, the three hide til when Tom's blood drips down from the vent. Red and tom get out but not without leaving a bit of a warm getaway package for Ian, burning their vehicles. As they stopped at the gas station, Tom asked again about what's in the suitcase, Red talks about how he heard about him and Liz getting married (the first time) and talked about how mad he was but know how Tom makes her happy.

 After their talk, Tom makes a getaway with the bones and DNA results. He gets to the Union Station and looks at the results with an expression that quickly makes him call Liz to tell her to meet him at home alone (having the babysitter take Agnus somewhere safe). Red gets word about Liz gone MIA and gets word that the last call came from the train station. He makes a call to Tom at the station and tells him that he doesn't have to do this, but Tom won't stop. 

  As Liz gets home, she's with worried and excitement but that goes away when she sees him tied up and beaten. That's where Ian and his group surround them. Liz of course, punches Ian in the face. Ian makes Tom pay for what he had done, by stabbing him in the stomach. And again when he asked Tom to call Red but wouldn't. Liz gets punched and falls to the floor where she suffers a severe head injury. There Ian lets his guys clean the place up and to kill both Tom and Liz while playing "Southern Cross" playing in the background. But Tom grabs the knife that was left from Ian and free himself and goes after the guys and then Red and Demeb get there with their guns going off blazing. And when Red gets to Tom, he doesn't kill him, but kills the other guy behind him on the floor. 

With Tom and Liz severely injured, Red and Dembe rush them to the hospital with the help of Cooper and the FBI escorting them there. Just before they get to the hospital, Tom and Liz try to tell one another to stay alive and make sure that Agnus remembers her. As the rush in the ER, both in the same room, Liz is put on a tube and gets her head drilled of fear of a brain bleed while they try to get Tom's heart going and fixing up his wounds, but in the end....Tom dies. 

We jump to with Red reading off a lovely verse from the bible and gets shocked when Liz wakes up. She asked how long she's been under and Red informs her that it's been 10 months and the next question was about Tom and he tells her that he'd died. And we see Tom's body in the morgue with Cooper as witness being put in the cooler in spite that he is really gone.     

This episode was a freight train of emotions and such memorable moments that it still as I'm writing this had me choking up. I had a feeling Tom was going die, he did open the flood gates to trouble, but did it for the all the right reasons, love and the truth for Liz. I thought that performance between Spader and Eggold was solid and special watching these two in their character moments of the past and present. Even Jonny Coyne's performance of Ian Garvey was thrilling as well. Boone's Liz carries a lot of the emotional scenes through part of the episode til it was between Liz and Tom at the end. The writing was so strong, the directing captured so many great moments from the character's prospective. Even the song choices were should I say memorable and yet very emotional as well. 

As for what will happen in the second half of the season, I think Liz is going to probably have a tough time getting back to business. Hell, I can't wait to see how Ian is going to use the bones and DNA results against Red. I do think and I'm saying that I think that maybe those bones are those of Liz's mother. 

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Down the Rabbit hole level 1 part 5

But back to Rick and Morgan

 The next scene that they share plays into part 4 and just how Beth’s cure arc will play out. We have Rick waking up in this house Morgan has taken him to, and it’s practically the same thing (take 2 of the hospital which is interesting because many don’t realize Rick woke up from being unconscious 2 separate times from 2 different incidents in episode 1, once in the hospital and once somewhere else (the house Morgan takes him too)

He opens his eyes from being unconscious and looks up at the ceiling not knowing where he is, just like Beth will have a take two awakening when she wakes from her gunshot wound as opposed to the first time she wakes in Grady.

Morgan has put Rick in a bed and tied him to it while tending to him, once Rick wakes the camera shows the very first instance of a baseball bat which Dwain is holding on guard, off to the side of Rick’s bed (Beth will wake in 5.10 and not long after Negan will appear, the bat is also on a loop, it appears with Jimmy and Beth S2, Beth and Daryl S4, Glenn and Rick S5 plus Negan obviously, I’m sure there are many other times too but these ones come to mind right now).

Morgan goes on and says “I changed your bandage it was pretty rank, what was it the wound?”  Rick “gunshot” Morgan “what else? Anything?”  Rick “gunshot isn’t enough?” Morgan “look I ask and you answer, its common courtesy right, did you get bit?” Rick “bit?” Morgan “Bit, chewed, scratched anything like that?” Rick “no I got shot, just shot as far as I know” Morgan then goes to touch Rick on the forehead and Rick pulls away not sure what he is doing, Morgan asks him to just let him touch his forehead, he does and turns to Dwain and says “feels cool enough, the fever would have killed you by now” Rick “I don’t think I have one” Morgan “it would be hard to miss” Morgan then proceeds to cut the ties he has put on Rick.

Let’s stop and look at what is unseen here as opposed to what is seen like Father G said in 509. We know that Rick just got shot and hit in the head by Dwain with a shovel (that’s what causes him to pass out the second time), but reading between the lines here, they have set Beth up to get bit and shot (but don’t worry we know it doesn’t kill her because these events happen prior (outside the funeral home) to her getting shot in Grady, if you go back through every season you will find episodes and loops that tell Beth’s missing story just with other characters you just have to link it all together.

To help explain this I’m going to jump to S2E01 for a bit

In S2E01 the group have just given up on the CDC AKA Grady and are headed to Fort Benning (aka a loop of Noah’s family in Richmond after Grady, which doesn’t work out).They are on the same HWY 18

   Part way there the HWY is blocked with cars and they slow down and start weaving through the cars, its then the RV breaks down (note that here Andrea and Dale AKA Beth and Daryl are traveling in the RV and this is just after they leave CDC/Grady so what happens to both Sofia and Andrea (Sofia being one of the main zombie girl representations and Andrea a smaller loop of her too) in this episode will fill in lots of blanks about Beth’s missing story, the RV breaks down on the HWY the same one we saw in season 7 also, when Rick and Michonne close line the herd in the car's.

It just so happens THAT spoiling sight has just posted pictures of listed S8 potential filming locations that have do not mow signs up and this same hwy is going to be filmed at very shortly, they also have pictures of a gas station that will be filmed at which is very similar to the first scene we went through with the little zombie girl, and Carl and Rick were spotted filming there.

Things that make me go bahhhhhh hahahahahahahaha because we all know how they have treated Beth fans and TD and they are going to get a major law of averages loop around to bite them in the rear very soon.

Back to the HWY in S2E01

Keep in mind the RV has the numbers 9866 on it (future seasons after S2 the RV’s will be in) and it has a big W on the side (level 2 if the rabbit hole)

So the radiator hose breaks and the group is in need of water, they stop and start looking around, Lori says this is a grave yard Just as Rick looks at Andrea. (Who is another smaller loop of the Zombie Girl)

Andrea never goes far from the RV while everyone else except Dale, and Glenn stay to fix the RV, Dale has 2 screwdrivers one red and one yellow screwdriver, he gives the yellow one (life) to Glenn and asks him to fix the broken radiator hose he also gives him the same bandana that is on a loop of its own, last time we saw the bandana it was on the bad guy that shot Rick S1, he was killed so the bandana season one was in a death cycle now it’s helping Glenn learn how to fix the RV (burial) Season 3 Daryl uses it to cover his mouth to stop him from getting the flu(life), just so you can see even items are on this loop.

The screwdrivers are very important too and we will come back to them as they will come into play again possibly with Beth being left in a vehicle and helping her survive a walker attack.

So Daryl is looking for petrol with T-Dog and then walks off, the next scene shows Carol looking in the boot of a car, she has picks up a red top and is looking at it fondly, Daryl then walks past in the background, this scene is literally the same as when Beth picks up her Yellow polo in the golf club

  Her and Carol are like Mother Daughter equal opposites here (which is interesting as Sofia was her daughter and Beth is a loop of Sofia), go watch the way Carol looks at the top and listen to the music, it’s the same scene different character, different place, different loop with Daryl walking past. The difference... Carol has the Red (Death top, but Carol doesn’t put it on so it’s not about her dying. But she is not the representation of the number 4 gas pump with the yellow gas can, or the 3rd Sherriff, note Carol and Beth loop in so many different scenes there are many instances where they do the same things, they have used Carol as a ghost representation of Beth while she has been gone to give us clues) But it's Beth that is the 3rd representation of the Zombie Girl and also the 3rd sheriff (both her getting bit and putting on the sheriff's hat happened in S4 and she will be the 1st one to survive a walker bite, completing the car numbers. So she gets the yellow (life/gas can and top)

Next scene Andrea is holding her stomach and seems like she is not feeling well she goes back into the RV while Dale is on top keeping watch.

Next scene Shane finds a truck with water (just like when Rick found water in the hospital and when it rains in 510 and some of the group are happy while those devastated by loss are not, Maggie, Daryl and Sasha) well in this scene Glenn and Shane are happy: Shane even says while letting water fall on him “it’s like being baptized man” while Dale (Daryl) looks on without a smile.

Dale looks at Shane with this same expression and then turns away

(at this point Beth will be unconscious and in the broken down “RV” as Andrea is the only one inside at this point, it won’t be an actual RV that Beth is put in as the S5 number is not included on the RV numbers and that is when this all took place for Beth, but whatever vehicle they get after Grady, my guess is it will be blue for burial).

Its then the walker herd start arriving Rick and Dale notice them first and get everyone under cars, everyone is told about and aware of the walkers except Andrea (who as Beth will be in the broken down vehicle after they leave Grady) on her own while everyone else leaves and hides elsewhere to get away from the walkers. Dale (Daryl) is the one that stays closets (on the roof of the RV) to her but still doesn’t bother to tell her through the roof skylight of the RV that there are walkers and the only reason they did this when Dale could have easily spoken to Andrea though the skylight was because as Beth she will still be unconscious and Daryl will still think she’s dead.

Andrea finally notices the herd walking past and gets on the floor of the RV but the door to the RV is open and a walker starts to come in, she crawls into the bathroom and closes the door, she is also wearing blue in this scene (burial), she takes her gun but it is in pieces as she was cleaning it and hadn’t put it back together yet. The walker comes to the folding door of the bathroom and she drops a piece of the gun and it makes a noise on the floor alerting the walker she is in there, it starts pushing on the door and Andrea is trapped without any weapon, Dale who is still on the roof of the RV hears her struggling to keep the walker out and (finally) looks down the skylight he pulls out the red screwdriver from his pocket and throws it to her through the skylight

 She kills the walker with it but it takes a few goes, the way she attacks the walker is a loop of how Beth kills the walker with the wine bottle in Still.

And

   The next scene tells us a few more interesting things about what will happen to Beth.

T-Dog gets his right arm cut open really bad,

(Which BTW is a loop of Amy S1 who got bit in a similar spot to where Beth’s bandage was but on the opposite side so for Amy and also Tyrese the left arm injury = Death. But Beth and T-dog right arm injury =Life.

(Amy also got given a mermaid necklace for her birthday by Andrea, the sad part is she died on her birthday and Andrea never got to give it to her, but placed it on her dead body, knowing the loops I'm thinking that Maggie will do something similar for Beth, Amy and her bite are a big clue as to Beth’s bite add to that the mermaid/beach symbolism linking to an Oceanside representation reunion loop)

Back to T-Dog and Daryl

A walker is coming up to T-Dog, and Daryl comes to the rescue. Guess what Daryl kills it with? A screwdriver!

It’s very possible that a screwdriver the group (possibly Daryl) will be using to try and fix the broken down vehicle, most likely a red screwdriver (death) that won’t be successful in fixing the vehicle that they leave Beth in, this screwdriver will be left in the car with Beth and she will use it to kill a walker that comes at her just like Andrea.

That’s the only thing she will have as they took her knife.

The next scene shows that Daryl hides under dead walkers as the herd passes.

TIMELINE on SCORPION UNIVERSE:

Timeline for Scorpion from episode 3x22 to 3x25  to 4x01  WILL BE HERE 

3x22 events happened in the middle of April 2017 in their universe 

3x23 events happened 4-5 weeks later, in the middle of May 2017 (during one day/night) #QuintisMay2017Wedding. So it has been suggested that Quintis got married in the middle of May, 2017...in their universe 

3x24- 3x25 events happened on the same/next day as 3x23, plus they covered the next several weeks (on the island)...so 3-4 weeks later, meaning the it was around middle of June 2017 in their universe at the end of s3 finale Remember: they were stranded on an island on the southern hemisphere, so seasons are switched up (compared to LA/Northern Hemisphere)...they went from spring/summer to autumn/winter... And according to Walter’s (stopped) watch, the date was the 15th, so it was suggested that they were rescued on June 15th, 2017...after 3-4 weeks on the island

ETA:  4x01 picks up pretty much “right after” (read: relatively soon: next morning) where s3 left us...storyline & timeline wise. What was heard in the 3x25 end scene will be a topic in 4x01 ”opening” scenes. Now, whether the (first) timejump we get happens already during the double-episode premiere episodes, or right after, or only sometime later (anytime before the Halloween ep), that is yet to be determined/revealed. 

Eps 4x01 & 4x02 happen the “next day” after 3x25 end scene. Ep 4x03 happens the “next day” after the 4x02 end scene. So it’s still the same week...just a  few days after the rescue. And also... it hasn’t been a month since Quintis wedding in 402. So from 3x23 wedding day to 4x03 Africa adventures... it’s only been about a month! And ep 4x04 happens about  2 weeks after the end of 4x03... And since Sly’s taking his bar exam in 4x05...this ep has to happen 48-72 hours after the end of 4x04... and the date Oct 22nd - 28th on screen confirm that it is middle/end of October during this ep. Which leads to  ep 406 aka Oct 31st, and about a week later. Then episodes 407 - 408 take place between Halloween & Thanksgiving, during November, as ep 409 in (US) Thanksgiving day, which in Thu Nov 23rd this year. Then we cover the next 3 weeks in the next 3 episodes (410 - 412) with 412 being the Christmas episode, so around December 23rd-25th...and 4x11 with Cabe’s trail happening on/just before December 11th (screenshot in 414). And that concludes the first part of the season.  

ORIGINAL INFO FROM BEFORE S4 STARTED FILMING: There is currently no information about when season 4 will pick up... “right away” or “some days/weeks/months” later... ETA: Now we know that storyline wise the new season picks up “(basically)right after”. But if there is no timejump between 3x25 & 4x01, then there will be one or several during the season. They have to catch up to real time by the Halloween episode, the Xmas episode & the Valentines episode (if there are any of those in s4)

Let’s see if the timeline & timejump between seasons will be more like s1/s2 hiats or s2/s3 hiatus. Meaning will there be a possible and realistic timeline and timejump (timejump explained between 1x22 & 2x01 with Walt’s recovery time & summer off work for the team) orthe hot mess that happened last year...with time literally going missing. Going from April 23rd to October overnight. By the looks/sound of it right now this year seems more like last year, and I honestly don’t like it. We had the Quintis wedding and all, and unless they will reveal that the timeline was: 3x22 in June, 3x23 in July, and 3x25 end scene/retur in August (date: 15th), then for me it’ll make no sense again. Cause it’s halloween in 4x06 already. And I don’t get the timejump in/between eps 4x02 & 4x06... But I’ll wait to see the eps, and how it’s all edited together and such...

PRODUCTION/FILMING SCHEDULE:

“Scorpion” season 4 starts filming Thursday, July 6th, 2017 Monday, July 10th 2017 (and they finished filming S3 on April 6th, 2017)

The writers return to offices late May/early June to plot out season 4, and start writing scripts. First scripts will be done by the end of June. (last season 3 script was done in March, 2017) ETA: and the s4 premiere script was done & the title revealed on June 23rd, prep on the episode starts end of June...about a week before shooting starts. 

4x01/4x02 starts filming on July 6th  July 10th, 2017 - ep 1 on July 10th & ep 2 on July 19th (source: RP’s twitter RP’s twitter2

4x03 started filming ~ July 31st  

4x04 started filming ~ August 10th 

4x05 started filming  August 21st 

4x06 started filming  Aug 31st 

4x07 started filming ~ Sept 12th

 PS. Things to remember: 

Each episode takes ~8 work days to film/shoot. (also: there is a thing called “fraturday”  = friday + saturday combined, which means the cast & crew start working noon-ish Friday and finish working early Saturday morning. This is a thing in TV world. Used for “night” scenes/shots...often...  But there are also things called DFN (day for night) & NFD (night for day) which means that they create the amount of light needed for the scene, even if it’s the opposite in reality. Filming day scenes when it’s dark outside...for example) 

It is not unusual in TV world for the last day of filming one episode to be the first day of filming the next episode - meaning 1st unit films for one ep, 2nd unit for another ep…or whatever combination. Episode filming can overlap sometimes. And 2nd unit work can happen sometimes later... during filming on other eps. (those are the inserts, and other bits that can be filmed separately, easily)

The scenes are not filmed in order. Meaning they could film the end scenes first, and the opening scenes later. Garage scenes are usually filmed together, even though they happen at different times of the episode - the beginning & the end. It’s all about the logistics.

Let’s do a quick recap (and I legit mean quick!) of what each diamond on Emma’s wedding band represent mmkay? And I’m gonna be forgetting a lot here so just bear with me.

1st diamond - first meeting, they were foes who both had quests, hers - getting back to her son; his - revenge against the man who took not only his love, but his hand as well: also you can be a part of something or you can be alone and he turns his ship around because he needed that reminder that he could be a part of something *wails to infinity*

2nd diamond - the neverland trip aka the moment people lost their shit because of that kiss (i wasn’t around tumblr when it happened but hearing people talk about how amazing it was then makes me smile always) / let’s throw in the next greatest moment “I swear on Emma Swan” HAHA I’M FINE NO I’M NOT then she gave up her magic to save him “Hook, come back to me.” HAHA THE MORE I WRITE I START TO CRY also followed by only the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME - THE CAPTAIN SWAN MOVIE, plus “it’s okay swan, not everything gets to watch their parents fall in love” plus “you’re a hero swan” followed by “so are you” *smile* followed by only the greatest moment in history “you traded your ship for me?” she says with wonder in her voice and his lovely “aye” and that kiss that lasted for so many minutes aka days, it was so long and beautiful and that time they broke away and both smiled before going right back for more, i’m dying thinking of it again

3rd diamond - season 4 rolls around and they’re pretty much learning the basics of coupledom, we’re witnessed to their first date (everything was sweet and pure) he got his hand back because should she let me, i’d like to be able to hold her - whatever the damn line was *i’m horrible because i don’t remember, i know but bah* it was still pure af, I should get my own place - foreshadowing i see you and i love you - followed by that kiss woop woop. then we got ‘i’m a fan of every part of you’ AHHHHHH and then “i’m not a goodbye person, but maybe just this once” *full on sobbing* now / 4b rolls around and 6 glorious wks have passed they’re being pretty fucking cute, when the queens of darkness roll into town, but who cares about that “DON’T YOU KNOW EMMA? IT’S YOU.” and that beautiful af kiss with a single tear rolling down emma’s cheek *puddle of melt* then we get cute au and deckhand swan and ‘i sensed we were close in that other realm’ ‘very’ WHY ARE THEY SO CUTE? LIKE STAPHHHH then he dies for her and her son and the curse is broken and she runs to see him, worried he’s not there when he smugly shows himself over the banister in the loft with snowing looking on and she throws herself at him and we would get an ily but then wasn’t the time, so she stares at him in awe and he’s all eyebrow raise because HE. DOESN’T. STOP. then comes heartbreak #1 emma sacrifices herself to save the town from the darkness yada yada *still sobbing btw* “Emma, don’t do this” he says with tears in her eyes, emma replies tearfully ‘I love you’ follow by a push and then she’s gone and the camera pans to him with tears in his eyes and the dagger with her name on it

4th diamond - s5 begins with hook desperately trying to get her back and then he finds her in the enchanted forest as a dark one, going through the transition and ‘heroes and villains here because of you, for you’ and then he calmly lets her make the decision to return merida’s heart and then they hug and ‘you don’t look like a crocodile’ ‘guess i lucked out’ and then as they leave hand swings aplenty then another curse happens and ‘where’s emma?’ ‘relax i’m right here’ in full dark one outfit and white hair and then emma why are you doing this and then dark swan is all because i am the dark one and poofs away, and then episode 2 back in camelot flashback and we see them get married HAHA J/K BUT THEY TOTALLY GOT MARRIED THEY LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL and then that dance at the ball and then UGH SO GOOD, BASICALLY EVERYTHING WAS CAMELOT AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERED - but then he died saving her and she refused to let him go and turned him into another dark one because i’m not gonna let him go and i won’t anyone stop me HAHA REMEMBER HOW I SAID I WAS FINE BEFORE, WELL I WAS BUT NOT ANY MORE, NOT FINE ANYMORE and then he’s all ‘how could you do this to me swan’ after finding out that his love did this to him and she’s all “i wasn’t gonna lose you killian” and then HE SACRIFICES HIMSELF TO SAVE HER AND HER FAMILY AND IS ALL “LET ME MAKE UP FOR MY MISTAKE, LET ME DIE A HERO” AND THEN SHE’S LIKE ‘NO IT SHOULD BE ME’ but he won’t let her do that, no sirree, *KILLIAN JONES HAS ALWAYS AND WILL CONTINUE TO ALWAYS PUT EMMA SWAN SWAN FIRST, YOU CAN FIGHT ME ON THAT* and then he dies and there back to normal and she holds him IN HER ARMS AS HE’S DEAD AND THEN REFUSES TO LET HIM GO WHEN THE PARAMEDICS CAME *PTERODACTYL SCREAMING* BECAUSE WHYYYYYYY AM I DOING THIS TO MYSELF?? then she finds out his death was taken from him (fucking rumple boo hiss) and decides she’s going to the underworld to get her man back ‘you two share a heart, so will we’ and then they reunite and there’s an argument and then all is good and then they’re trying to find a way out and then there’s TRUE LOVE’S TEST AND “IT’S TRUE LOVE. EMMA YOU CHOSE ME THAT WAS THE TEST” AND THEIR SMILES *SQUEALS* OF COURSE THEY PASS; THIS IS FUCKING CAPTAIN SWAN WE’RE TALKING ABOUT HERE. and then they find out that hades (boo hiss) is a turd and lies and he can’t go with her back to the land of the living and that FUCKING HEARTBREAKING MOMENT #2 THE ELEVATOR GOODBYE THAT DESTROYED ME, LIKE HOW DARE THEY and even after they’re realms apart they still work together and stop hades and zeus (thank you) brings back killian to where he belongs with emma and that tiptoe kiss in the rain after they’re reunited and he’s giggling and she’s shooketh and attack kisses galore, then that ‘i love you’ that’s said with no threat of death, villains anything. just said it to say it and of course don’t forget that LIFT KISS LIFT KISS WOOT WOOT

5th diamond - s6 the hottest couch makeout we’ve ever been witnessed to with hands on the butt and leg pretty much in the air and earth-shaking after that there’s ‘move in with me’ then there’s you’re the product of true love and that cute af hand kiss to stop her shaking vision hand of imminent death and then so much separation and then she gets sent to the wish world and meets his older much heavier still attractive self (yep i’ve reached the point of finding older hook attractive sue me hehe) and then she comes back and he’s all “you’re amazing swan” hug and then that cute moment in 6x12 - ‘I JUST DESPERATELY NEED TO KISS YOU’ LIKE WHO SAYS STUFF LIKE THAT, KILLIAN JONES THAT’S WHO and then things happen and i’m crying because we all know what comes after, she finds the ring, he’s drunk off his ass, tainted proposal ensues (still beautiful tho, even knowing what we know) then they halt that proposal (more like she gives the ring back) and he’s about to leave when he changes his mind and gets ready to come back only for dark one jr creeping up on him and stopping that in it’s tracks and they’re separated for 3 fucking episodes YES YOU HEARD ME 3 FUCKING EPISODES WORTH OF SEPARATION and then he’s all “i’m trying to find my way back home to you” “i’d never abandoned you” and “i love you” and then they work their way back, he takes out his shadow to take him back to her, it fails his shadow makes its way to emma followed by A CARESS TO THE CHEEK THAT I WILL NEVER BE OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, then she goes to get him with encouragement and a push from mama snow, in a door she finds him, pushed some lost boys out the way, grabs her man’s hand and back through the door and they land on top of each other and he apologizes, she apologizes and then re-proposal, followed by the same yes as before, she gets on his level of kneelingness (yes it’s not a work but bah) says yes, kisses him and the ring goes right back where it belongs.

AND THAT’S WHAT YOU MISSED ON GLEE
