I’m confused, there are many zutara artworks I wanted to share but some of them dont have signatures or watermarks and I don’t know if they permitted to share if their posts are buried under all the blogs and hashtags. My question is, arent artists supposed to be flattered when their work goes viral? Why do some artists dont want to repost/reblog their art? Especially of course if they put their ‘stamp’ on it? And if they plan to sell it couldn’t they just put a watermark and remove it for the one who bought it like in etsy?

i'm not an artist so i don't claim to be an authority on this subject, but as far as i know, artists don't encourage reposts because it's very likely that their work will go uncredited, or even that credit could be falsely claimed by someone else. artists put hours and hours of effort into creating art to share with a community, not simply to garner faceless likes and notes. separating the creator from the art means stripping away that interaction, and that's not what fandom is about.

if you don't know who the creator is, don't repost their work. even if you do know, don't repost without asking them first and gaining their explicit consent. as far as possible, try to reblog so you can direct people back to the artist's page. that's just fandom etiquette 101.

Everyone is free to debate all they please, but at a certain point you have to look at blogs like this and accept if their content is for you or not. Your clearly on Dreams side (within reason) and any adtempts to debate you are meet with points youve already made. I hope it doesnt get there but at a cetian point in this cycle it atarts to feel less like a open discussion and more like people attempting to stamp out anyones voice they dont like.

hey anon! so i’m understanding this ask (pls correct me if i’m wrong) as a critique on blogs that debate about / defend “problematic characters” (ie characters that are villains, evil or disliked by the general fandom). this blog was turned into what it was because i was frustrated with being on dream smp twitter, where i saw no small number of accounts constantly talking about smp!dream fans like they’re a) stupid, b) being manipulated or c) condoning manipulation and abuse. this wasn’t a place i wanted to debate — i wanted to post analysis about my favourite smp characters and write smp!dream angst because he’s the character i find most interesting.

i’m assuming many of the people who reblog my things haven’t read the posts i’ve made talking about smp!dream, which is why i link them to those posts. i’ve been mostly tolerant with people who tag my posts — which reference torture and emotional distress — as “good he deserves it” and “i hope he suffers like this and more”, despite having mentioned being uncomfortable with this in the past (granted, quite a long time ago now; maybe i should repost it lmao).

i am all for debate with people who are genuinely open to hearing what i have to say!! i guess i’m mildly defensive because everyone on twitter automatically assumes you’re condoning abuse, manipulation, etc if you like smp!dream. i see your point about relinking points i’ve already made — there are loads of analysis posts i’ve wanted to make but haven’t had time to, because my smp!dream angst/analysis kind of ,, blew up in a week, haha, and i’ve had three essays plus other work to do IN that week :’)

i’ll do my best to be more open with people who want to debate, but there is a line i won’t cross when it comes to debate (i had enough of my debate-blog phase in 2018, lol). it’s important to remember that at the end of the day, this is just roleplay! it’s just a bunch of people roleplaying stupid block men ,, if you don’t like the content my blog has to offer, there are loads of others out there who do a much better and much more different job than i do! :]

She doesn’t know how to let things happen naturally for a while and follows almost guideline routines whenever romance is involved.  ideal physical traits: Clean-kept, possibly taller, nice (calming/soothing/smooth) voice, nothing specific regarding hair, skin, or eye color. ideal personality traits: Heart in the right place (even despite how they may act), understanding, compassionate, empathetic, intelligent, rough exterior/soft interior unattractive physical traits: conscious decision for slobbery appearance, unkempt. unattractive personality traits: misbehaving, short tempered, brash, uncaring for other people or things, arrogant to the point of self-centered/selfish, conscious decision to be mean ideal date: nothing fantastic this girl can be fine sitting in a park for a while. however if she has to plan the date she’ll once again over analyze everything. they can’t have dinner because she can’t eat so what would they do then? she knows her mannerisms and behavior are odd so going to a theme park would be dull because she wouldn’t react like other people and just.. yeah.  do they have a type?: (i dont know i didnt think she’d get this far..) average relationship length: None so far. preferred non-sexual intimacy: Existing around one another without the facades. But once she understands that love is ok, again, it’s indefinite.  opinion of public affection: Humans do it a lot so it must just be a thing hardwired into their mind. She doesn’t judge them for it, though risque behavior really should be kept behind closed doors. The most PDA she’d do is holding hands or casual hugging (ie they’re watching something and they hug her from behind and just stay that way). past relationships?: She’s gone on a few dates with some Shinra co-workers, but never more than one with each of them. If they can be considered a date. They ask her out for the evening, she says yes, and they realize her persona is the same outside the office and she immediately becomes less attractive to them (despite being very pretty physically). Awkwardness kills all her potential dates to the point they end on a puttering note or she just gets stood up. So she has had no relationships that have gone past that part.
