going through old documents, found an "attack on titan" destiel au that i wrote a little while back for @aerodaltonimperial. thought i'd post it somewhere!
Dean first saw Castiel Novak on his third day as a recruit of the 104th Cadet Corps.
Every one of the freshly new recruits were getting trained on the mobility gear apparatus—for flying through the air with cables, and having more of a chance fighting the Titans, apparently. Having seen a Titan up close and personal, the damage and carnage it could cause, Dean had serious doubts whether flying through the air in a thing like that would do anything against those giant dumb monsters.
But seeing Castiel training on the apparatus, his legs and arms delicately balanced while being suspended by the wires, his jet-black hair catching the sunlight as he gracefully hung in the air—Dean could only stare, stunned, and feel for the first time that they had some sort of hope against the monsters that stalked the walls.
After that, Dean seemed to notice Castiel everywhere.
It made no sense that he did; they were polar opposites. Where Dean had a group of new friends he ate with in the mess hall, Castiel ate dinner by himself. Dean was mouthy to his superiors during his training sessions—it was a motivational technique for himself, to defy authority—while Castiel sweat through each of the drill rounds without complaint or any signs of slowing down.
Dean was loud, brash, flirty—Castiel was moody, and Dean heard him say all of two words in the first two weeks they were there (a “thank you” to one of the people serving them food in the mess hall).
Dean kept trying to talk to him on the training field, but all he got was a glare. Dean wasn’t sure why he wanted to break Castiel’s mysterious exterior, figure out what his deal was—maybe because the more walls that went up, the more Dean wanted to knock them down.
A month into their training, Dean and Castiel were assigned to each other for a sparring session. Castiel slammed Dean onto the ground in a few short moves, their chests heaving together from the effort, and Dean discovered that he didn’t even mind losing.
“You sure you’ve been here as long as me?” Dean joked as Castiel helped him up from the ground. “You seem more advanced than the rest of us.”
Castiel’s face was blank when he replied, “I picked things up all along the way.”
Dean watched Castiel’s back as he walked away, then went back into the starting position with his fists raised. “So what’s your deal, anyway?” Dean asked. “Nobody even knows where you’re from.”
“Will that help you win this fight?” Castiel bent his legs as if to spring forward.
Running a hand through his sweaty hair, Dean admitted, “Well, no.”
“Then I don’t see how it’s relevant.” Without warning, Castiel pounced at him, Dean held up his arms to defend Castiel’s blows, and they once again began circling each other in the combat ring.
Castiel started hanging out with a girl called Meg—another loner among the recruits. Dean tried not to be jealous of her getting all of Castiel’s secret smiles. They were the most insular pair in the training camp, murmuring to each other whenever they hung out at the mess hall.
“I’m going to make that guy my friend,” Dean told Charlie, “if it’s the last goddamn thing I do.”
“Careful, Winchester, or I’d think you’re developing a crush,” Charlie teased him with a small jab of her elbow to his side.
“Am not,” Dean grumbled, pushing her away.
Benny leaned over the table “Wait, are you talking about Novak?” At Dean’s nod, Benny whistled low through his teeth. “You know that guy is crazy, right? I heard he killed a guy before coming here, and they were going to put him in jail, but forced him to do this training to become a Scout instead.”
“No, you got it all wrong,” Jo cut in. She was munching on an apple and wiping the juice from her chin. “I heard that he wouldn’t even come here unless they made him a Scout. He’s this really good fighter, right? Was part of some underground fighting ring, totally illegal. Decided to join just on a whim.”
“Bullshit,” Benny said. “You got it all wrong, Little Harvelle, as usual.”
“I told you not to call me that,” Jo said through clenched teeth, pointing her apple menacingly in his direction.
Dean sighed, and stood with his empty plate to leave his friends to argue. As he passed Castiel’s table, they shared eye contact for a split second before Dean averted his eyes. Putting his dirty plate on the pile with the others, he braced his shoulders as he walked into the cold.
He stood with his back against the wall of the large building, feeling the bricks dig into his shoulder blades and listening to the buzz of the recruits inside the large hall. He faced the forest enshrouded the training camp, taking a deep breath of chilled autumn air. Mosquitos buzzed on the wind.
“Mind if I join you?”
Dean nearly jumped out of his skin at the voice. He turned to Castiel, who was standing there with blank eyes. Dean nodded, dumbly, and gestured to the space on the wall next to him.
“It was getting too loud in there,” Castiel explained as he leaned against the wall. “I assume it was the same for you.”
Dean stared at him.
"What?" Castiel asked, expression twisting into something uncomfortable.
“Dude, I think that’s the most you’ve ever said to me. Ever.”
Castiel huffed a laugh. He slid to the ground and sat with his elbows resting on his knees. “It’s not my fault that you only attempted to talk to me while we were training.”
“You’re the kind that gets in the zone, huh?”
“You could say that.”
Dean sat next to him. He spreads his legs out in the cool grass. “Well, I’m Dean. If you didn’t already know that.”
Castiel nodded. “I did.”
“And that’s really your name—Castiel?” At Castiel’s nod, Dean hummed. “Well, that’s a mouthful. I think I’m just gonna call you Cas.”
Castiel shrugged one shoulder. “If you wish.”
Dean grinned. “Cas,” he said again into the dark night. “Yeah, that sounds way better.”
Cas gave Dean one of his small, secret smiles, and Dean’s heart jolted from the sight of it. “I agree,” he said, softly.

My observations after running this blog for a month
I have observed trends relating to multiple fandoms and how they behave/interact with my polls here's some examples. I hope someone finds this entertaining as I did. Because I do read most of the comments and tags
Black Butler, Jujutsu Kaisen and Dorohedoro. You guys are the most insane, feral, unhinged and I have debated marking my post as mature content simply because I knew what you will put in your tags and comment. I worry about you people sometimes Because I do read what you put in those comments and tags and now I know what you will allow these characters to do to you and what you want to do to them. (This also applies certain specific characters from other fandoms) But you three. My little unhinged trio. It's just fandom wide. Doesn't matter the character. You will go crazy. It's entertaining to watch. Don't get me wrong but I hope everyone is doing okay
One piece You guys request a lot and show up. You guys also like meme and cursed polls. Yes they are funny most of the time and you guys have plenty of characters to choose from for the meme and cursed variety. But your fandom also has a list of characters that fall under the should I mark this as mature content because of what is inevitably going to end up in the tags and comments. Because I have seen your characters referred to as "daddy" or "mommy" Way more than JJK or the other two members of the unhinged trio and those fandoms are way more crazy collectively.
Trigun is the most loyal ride or die fandom that will show up for any poll with one of their characters no matter what. With a level of enthusiasm that is impressive but lacks the pure crazy of the unhinged trio
Mob Psycho 100 I've only had one character submitted from your show but you guys show up almost as much as Trigun but I don't know if that loyalty translates to other characters
Jojo you guys either show up and vote and reblog quietly or are just as bad as the unhinged trio 50/50 chance also depends on the character so I never know what to expect.
Now Attack on Titan. Is that fandom alive? Because I have gotten a few requests to do their characters but they have never shown up to defend their character. Which is funny because they're still in the top 20 anime and Manga fandom charts. But as far as I can tell the fandom does not exist or they're invisible so are you guys doing okay? I know the final season was supposed to be traumatic or something but I mean so was JJK season 2 and it just turned that fandom into an unhinged mess so you all should be fine or at least have a pulse. Do you guys need to speak to the Hannibal fandom for support? I mean they're still alive all these years later even after their tragic ending.
Hunter x Hunter You're a fandom that shows up consistently. Vote and reblog but you don't make a scene. That's all I can really say. It's very similar to how the Trigun fandom behaves but not quite the same enthusiasm as Trigun that is ride or die no matter the character
Fate is another fandom where you either show up or you don't. There is no in between. I wonder if it depends on the character. But I don't know. There just hasn't been enough polls
Soul Eater. You guys are unhinged only when it comes to Stein any other character I don't know but Stein 100% ride or die.
Dungeon Meshi very similar to JoJo except if it's Senshi or Falin guaranteed you guys will be just as bad if not worse than the unhinged trio any other character there's a chance you might not show up at all
Now to all the people who find the Senshi polls annoying. I would like to apologize for the monster I mean meme I accidentally created. It was never my intention for this to get out of hand I hope you can forgive me one day. But apparently they're going to kill King Charles. I still don't get it I might be getting old
If I haven't mentioned your fandom, it's probably because your characters don't get submitted enough for me to notice a trend but I will be watching. This is just what I've observed so far I hope you enjoyed my observations. I found these trends interesting

This doesn't have anything to do with anything, but i had a talk with a friend a few days ago, about shonen biasis and the way this shapes our expectations, and mha came up so i remembered how so many people apply those biasis HEAVILY into the manga, to the point that they sound like they're looking for a different story.
And one of those things that it seemed to be MOST talked about is exactly bkdk's relationship.
I have seen many times people from the fandom (sometimes really angrily) point out how in most cases Katsuki seems to basically take up not one, but four roles in Izuku's life and this includes putting him in situations that people associate with the MC's love interest, and it is weird that, despite Izuku "having a girl" for people to make assumptions about, he seems to completely repulse any female character that could be the counter part to Izuku's.
And this made us wonder if Katsuki's placement in those roles and lack of interest was made specifically because the author precisely did not want the actions that both do for each other as romantic but a whole another thing entirely, as a subversion for the these classic tropes, as he did by making the conflict between Ochako and Himiko not a "rivals fighting for the affection of a boy" but something that is connected to the plot of these characters instead.
Oh you bet! I am always down to talk about this, because I think about it a lotttt.
This reminds me, recently I remembered a funny habit I used to have with books I read. Like, back in middle school. I used to start by flipping directly to the last page and reading the final sentence. Usually this did not spoil anything whatsoever, but sure enough, by the time I read through the whole book, that sentence would take on new meaning.
So I started musing about what it would be like if only I could do this with bnha, if everything was already out. It made me feel so nostalgic…
Will the last panel be something grand, or something small? Hopeful or sad? Distant? Intimate? A parting message to the reader? Will it look like almost nothing of consequence to the unknowing eye—yet burst with hard-hitting subtext?
Of course I wonder about all the twists and reveals that might be still ahead of us, but it’s kinda soothing to think about how the whole thing could be put to rest. Because then I realize I’m not worried.
For once, this is not because the story is following so many tropes so predictably that I know exactly, in so many words, how it will end. It’s more like the story is a close friend who I’ve gotten to know well enough that everything they do is so “them” it makes me smirk. I'm often marveling at how Horikoshi has managed to pull all this off. How is it that (at least here in the west) people who aren't really paying attention call it basic and cookie-cutter. Even a Japanese animator called it "classic," and this interview shows such obvious dissonance between Hori and the interviewer, just... wow. But it's so clear that bnha has broken just about every rule in the book at this point, so much so that I struggle to condense it into words. I'm like--*gestures broadly at everything*--why haven't more people picked up on it??
Yet we still get bombarded with people saying "it's a shonen, c'mon, we all know how this will end." Um. No you don't. I KNOW there has to be a bunch of people who are secretly frustrated by Kacchan taking up all the roles and getting all the moments. It's not even in a mysogynistic way, because Kacchan is the most anti-dudebro character imaginable. Bkdk's relationship isn't intended for them and they know it... and you know what, I'm starting to ramble. You've heard all this before. The thing I should really be focusing on in your ask is the part where you mentioned how you and your friend were speculating about bkdk ending up as "a whole other thing entirely" rather than simply romantic.
Well, fuck it, I've been biting my tongue, but now might as well be the time I talk about this. I got into a bit of a disagreement with someone over it once and then I shut up. Because it's very difficult to approach the subject without being lumped in with those people who see bkdk as "brotherly" (ew) or otherwise try to push some "crisis of male friendship" agenda, or at the very least without being accused of enabling people to make excuses against bkdk being canon ad infinitum. So let me be clear that I do NOT want bkdk to have an ambiguous or open ending. I want their complexity and importance to be acknowledged. I want them to use their words. I think we may have created a bit of a false dichotomy there.
I am aromantic, and to suggest romantic relationships are inherently the most important and intimate goes against every fiber of my being. I also reject the idea that cut-and-dry gay representation is more desirable just because it is more easily understood by the masses than aspec representation or representation of relationships "beyond" both romantic and platonic. We recognize how ridiculous it is for people to expect Izu*cha at this point, right? Well, the reason they're so confident anyway isn't just because of heteronormativity. It's also because of amatonormativity, the assumption that romantic attraction trumps all: no matter how much focus bkdk get, Izuku blushed at Ochako, so that automatically makes them more "important." THAT is the notion that I want to challenge most. More than anything, I want bkdk's relationship to be fully acknowledged because they have so much more going for them than just attraction.
You and your friend make an excellent point, that it would be very much in line with Horikoshi's taste and the patterns of his writing so far if he chose to subvert the shonen romance trope not just by giving it to two boys, but also by disregarding its premise entirely. It's unlikely he'd try to stuff them into such a copy-paste ending right at the end.
So maybe they won't get the blushy confession, the obligatory kiss, the wedding, the 2.5 kids and a white picket fence. That's fine, we shouldn't pretend those tired tropes are suddenly revolutionary just because they're gay. But don't be disappointed! Without them, we have more room for things that are actually personally meaningful to bkdk to stand out and receive the nuance they deserve: talking through their feelings openly, building each other up like no one else can, understanding each other like no one else can, smiling at each other, embracing, holding hands, rushing to the other in the hospital, being glued at the hip (or even closer), healing mutual trauma, putting each other first in all things. Maybe we'll also get confirmation on Ochako's side as she moves on from her crush on Izuku. You know what other shonen manga took this exact angle as a way of subverting tropes and presenting genuine complexity? Blue Flag! There are so many ways to do bkdk justice.
Even a kiss isn't out of the question, if the right opportunity comes along. A perfect example of what I'm talking about is Good Omens (major season 2 spoilers) because the kiss between Crowley and Aziraphale was not at all about canonizing them. It was an expression of pain and desperation that just made sense at that particular moment. Neil Gaiman was adamant that if it took that kiss to understand the context of their relationship, you really weren't paying attention. I respect the hell out of that.
Recently I was even daydreaming about bkdk getting something similar to the sort of uh, shall we say tasteful nudity, that togachako got, because of how Izuku appears in the vestige realm.
Ya know like not in an nsfw way but in like a "this is so deeply intimate and soft that I feel like I'm intruding" kind of way... yeah. Because it represents vulnerability and openness and acceptance of someone as they are. And I don't care if people call that bait. It's not. It's beautiful. It’s honest.

🌱 UMEMIYA'S MOODBOARD 🌱
I have spent way too much time thinking about Ume - chan as my boyfriend (husband even) 😩 i would LOVE to have a husband like him, and i just can't help myself to make a BF moodboard for him! I haven't read the manga yet, so this MB is solely based on what i've seen on the anime
(might add or lessen things in the future as the anime / the manga progresses | not proofread)
Enjoy some domestic!Umemiya hc ~
🌱 adulting with Umemiya feels like he gave you a glimpse of what it's like to have him as your husband. He's a provider by heart.
🌱 i would think he will buy himself a semi traditional suburban house with quiet a handful of land where he could plant his lovely veggies.
🌱 probably would take a remote job so he still have extra time to tend his garden. He's a carefree person after all.
🌱 would take you to street food festivals, we all know he's a foodie! He would feed you well ♡
🌱 absolutely head over heels if he got a partner that cooks, no need a super skilled one, just someone who would appreciates his well grown crops and knows how to make food with it.
🌱 would ask your fave flower / plant and tries to plant it for you.
🌱 SUPER SUPPORTIVE PARTNER. Encourages you in EVERYTHING, even the smallest things like showering, drinking water, waking up early.
🌱 the neighbors LOVE HIM, would trade crops or even give some of his crops to his neighbors.
🌱 asked you to style him because his friends has been nagging him about his fashion sense.
🌱 OOT but his kisses tastes heavenly.
🌱 have few scratches here and there on his hands from gardening.
🌱 tries to sees the good in every person he met. Would befriend street food vendors in a span of minutes, his social skill is admireable especially if you're a more introverted person, his presence would ease you up in making friends.
🌱 A FAMILY MAN. Dates to marry type of person. He has a clear goal once he got into a relationship with someone aka HE IS NOT AFRAID OF COMMITMENT.
🌱 if you guys are living together as a couple, everyday would felt like theraphy, even mundane task would felt like theraphy. Laundry, cooking, dishes, etc. You don't have to worry about him just laying around being lazy.
🌱 like to invite his friend around to just simply hangout and catch up with each other, his old friends from Bofurin, middle school, orphanage, you name it.
🌱 i feel like at the end of the day, Umemiya fits into the slow living life style. His own family (in the future) where he works and come home to a warm hug from his partner while his kids laying around on the tatami, on the weekend he would fully take care of his garden, letting his kids helps him harvest his crops, just very clichè heartwarming family, reclaiming what he had lost at the early stages of his life.
🌱 life with Umemiya would sounds like Phum Viphurit & BoyPablo's songs

The female characters
As usual, this post might have SPOILERS about the first volume of TCF so if you don't want to see this, please don't continue. Thanks!
___
There's this problem I've noticed as a reader of several novels. It's the reason why I skipped or dropped a lot of novels that disappointed me despite their good plot.
The female characters are either barely in the story, they suck, or turned into a harem member.
Most authors don't know how to write women unless they're the same gender. And while I have no problems with male characters, it's sad that if you see a movie, anime, manga, or novel, the results are either of the three mentioned above☝️.
But TCF managed to surprise me yet again.
Like I said in my previous post,
I did not have high expectations for this novel when I first started reading it. I just wanted to read something because I was bored.
So imagine my surprise when a lot of female characters started appearing everywhere in this novel. While some have minor roles like Amiru, Violan, and Lily, most of them are relevant to the plot. Something that is lacking in most novels. They're not one-dimensional characters but are instead given depth by the author.
Violan and Lily
Violan and Lily, who barely show up in the story because we're focused on Cale's point of view, have their own backstories and goals. Their roles are simple but it's enough that you'll be able to remember their names unlike those characters that are easily forgettable.
You'll be able to remember that Violan loves art and wants to help her husband and family as a wife, mother, and countess. She's very intelligent and even appears to be in equal footing with her husband. She's just as important as Deruth in their territory. If you remember how she appeared when Clopeh attacked them, you can see that despite her worry and anger for Cale's poor state, she appeared calm and was willing to stand by his side despite the danger she faces.
Lily on the other hand wants to be a swordsman to help her brothers protect their territory. I find her small interactions with Cale so adorable because of how much Cale respects her and her dream. She is brave and hard-working, unwilling to stay behind while her brothers do everything. She even grew stronger later in the novel. The fact that she was raised to be confident about her skills and herself is a good sign that Deruth and Violan did not care about gender roles and I just find this awesome.
Witira
Another example is the manhwa.
Let me first mention that I don't read the manhwa. I like it but I prefer the novel. I feel like their thoughts and opinions aren't always shown properly compared to when you read the novel.
But when I first saw Witira illustrated in the manhwa, my first thought was "she looks strong". The fact that I noticed how strong she is just by how she exudes confidence and power amazed me. Her personality is already obvious just by how she talks and moves.
In the novel, Cale likens himself to a shrimp while standing next to them, Raon, and Toonka. He knows that he's the weakest in the group and was quick to hide when Toonka jumped into a fight with Witira. He also thought that Toonka is stupid for trying to fight with Witira.
But what I appreciate about Witira is her care for her brother. She was so ready to interrogate Cale about Paseton and her brother had to calm her to calm down.
Before I wax poetry about how cool Witira is, here is the summary of the women that made an impact in the story.
There's Rosalyn who left her position as a princess to be a powerful mage. There's Mary, an innocent necromancer with a tragic background and Tasha who is a dark elf that wants to support her nephew despite the disgust and fear aimed at their race.
The others, while not often seen, are just as important because of their connection to other characters. Cage wants to be excommunicated and protect Taylor (something she failed to do in the original story) and is connected to the God of Death. Litana is a queen who wants to protect her Jungle from Adin and Arm. And Jopis wants her family and kingdom back from Elisneh.
There's also Cotton but to be honest, she's the one of the few female characters that I barely know about aside from her actions in Endable and connection to the God of War. I'm wondering if she'll show up more in the second volume.
Mary
She's a quiet character but she's my favorite among all the characters. When she first appeared in the novel, she didn't have much presence. It was only when she was brought above the City of Death/Life that she became more than a pitiful necromancer who was hated and feared just because she wanted to survive, like her parents wanted her to do before they died.
She may look naive at first because she spent most of her life in the underground city, but she later proves how powerful and kind she is.
Instead of hating the world that hated her, she moved past that and just wanted to protect the people she sees as her family and friends. Her backstory is sad but it didn't stop her from seeking happiness even if she became a necromancer.
She's one of the strongest characters in my eyes and I'm happy to see her slowly gain confidence in herself.
Hannah and Elisneh
But out of all the women, Hannah and Elisneh are the ones who surprised me the most.
Hannah was originally an antagonist. She fought against Cale and his group before she was betrayed by Arm. And she was about to die if Cale, Litana, Cage, and Mary did not save her. Instead of completely changing her character, she still remains bloodthirsty but has a softer side because of her brother and Cale.
She develops in a way that I did not expect. I actually thought she would be another Redika because of her obsession with blood and would later die as an extra character but she proved me wrong. She instead fights Arm with her brother and the group. I believe she's as strong as Rosalyn but I don't remember (I have to re-read the novel).
She doesn't care about the scars left on her by the dead mana and keeps it as a reminder of the betrayal she and her twin faced, proving she doesn't care how people who fear dead mana look at her.
Elisneh on the other hand, remains an antagonist against Jopis. She was originally supposed to "save" the Jungle but judging on how her kingdom turned out (like a storage for dead mana and stuck in an illusion), I can make a guess that she would've done the same with the Jungle had Cale not helped Litana before.
She's an antagonist that left a deep impression on me because of how static she is as a character. She remains focused on her greed and thirst for power and it's nice to see that not all antagonists in the story are turned into allies or kind people. She's strong enough that it took a whole group to defeat her.
On
And last but not the least is On.
She is not as vocal as Hong and Raon but she is the most mature out of all the kids. She is very sharp and knows what Cale thinks of himself and the people around him. She didn't initially trust Cale and I like that. She notices how stupid Cale can be at times and seems exasperated by him. She can still be childish just like her siblings from time to time but her determination to become stronger against the Fog Cat Tribe and Arm shows how much she and Hong had faced before arriving in the Henituse territory.
I understand some readers don't like the involvement of children in TCF because it's bad for the kids to be in war against a strong organization. BUT readers forget that this is a different world with different ways of thinking. These kids are from the Fog Cat Tribe, beastmen who can fight and are prepared for it. They have abilities that normal humans don't and they need to train those abilities if they want to survive in a world full of strong people and wars.
Her being involved in battles makes her feel proud of how strong she became, something she didn't feel when she was in her tribe. Because she's a mutant, her tribe made her feel bad about herself and was ready to kill her and Hong. She needs encouragement and praises that they're not useless or weak. She doesn't need to be coddled and she knows this.
She's smart enough to know that she and her siblings will only be safe with Cale and his group. Even in the war, their only involvement was spreading a poisonous fog so they could hide their presence from the enemy and Cale could hide his ancient powers from the greedy nobles. Aside from that, they weren't fighting in the war. They entered, used their abilities, and left.
Their tribe is good at being stealthy and it's why Ron wants to train these kids. They're good as potential assassins if they want to become one.
I might make a different post about the kids but this is all I have to say about On for now.
Respect
Another reason why I love this novel is because Cale treats these people with respect, regardless of their race, history, and gender.
He doesn't stop them from becoming stronger and instead encourages them to be what they want to be. He respects their failures and strengths. He doesn't coddle them nor does he find them weaker because they're women.
That's why I respect the author. Instead of writing them as side characters existing to make men stronger, the author made me feel amazed at all these strong women, regardless if they're normal or a fighter.
___
I can write more about these characters like Rosalyn and Tasha but I'll just end it here because I might just summarize the whole novel at this point 😅

Pokémon black 2 and white 2 really just droped the hardest Pokémon trainer design of all times and never brought her back aside from Pokémon Master 😔
Like come on go ahead and tell me Roxie isn't just the coolest thing you have ever seen in your short life, I DARE YOU.
Oh yeah AND PLEASE STOP FUCKING SAYING SHE'S A GUITARIST, SHE'S NOT, that's a bass guitare :) Bass being my favorite instrument, so I will not let it slide. (Not insulting yall don't worry it's good if you didn't know 🔥)
I mean yeah Generation 5 introduced a lot of cool charachters like N and my baby Iris (best Pokémon champion ever btw she's too cute) but none top Roxie for me, she's by far my favorite charachter from those games, and 2nd favorite Pokémon charachter (for now) overall only beaten by Wally.
Also her ace is Scolapede... And I have an unleathy amounth of love for this bug so this only makes her cooler, AND HER BASS IS ALMOST SHAPED LIKE A SCOLAPEDE WHICH BONUS POINTS. ✨
Also I know the Black and White anime is TRASH, BUT ROXIE'S EPISODE GOES HARD, with only 3 pokémons and a type disadvantage (I think? I haven't rewatched the episode in a long time) she knocked five out of Ash's six pokémon... And that final pokémon is Pikachu, so let's face it, the only reason bro survived was plot amror.
Also when she was performing lil' riffs on her Bass in the middle of the fight, I just ₍₍ ◝( ゚∀ ゚ )◟ ⁾⁾
I fucking love this pissed lil rebelious bitch so much, peak charachter.
I'm yet to see her in the Adventure Manga, but she seems to be just as good as she is in the anime and games, I expect her to have just a taaaad bit more to her charachter in the there, as the Manga really likes fleshing charachters out even more than they are.
And cherry on top? HER OUTFIT AND PARTNER POKÉMON IN MASTERS EX.
TOXTRICITY MY FAVORITE GENERATION 8 POKÉMON... The outfit too... AAARGH EVERYTHING, IT LOOKS INCREDIBLE, AND HER BASS LOOKS LIKE A TOXTRICITY NOW EUJDUF
(Detail but she was paired with Bass form Toxtricity and not Guitare form, fucking incredible)
She also is, to this day, the only voice acted charachter in the mainline Pokémon games, yeah, she just spells P-o-k-é-m-o-n... Idk I just find it really cute and cool asf. (Video by PLDHnetLite)
Her gym looks cool asf too.
And finally, her theme song in Masters EX slaps way too fucking hard.
Anyways, if you read all of this... You are again not mentaly well cuz no... Why? Would you do that? But I apreciate it! I just like to rant randomly and Tumblr being my Twitter means I get to rant as much as I want without annoying anyone! Yaaay
Thank you for reading, stay safe :)

hihi I'm back again, and here to ask who in the cast you think has the skill to do hair/up do's?
I'm 5'9, but my hair is now down to my mid thigh, and like around three feet long ?? I haven't chopped it since 2018, only trimmed it. Yet I only know how to do a simple braid, my hair basically lives in a low ponytail lol (though my mom will still do my hair if I ask her for help, which I'm grateful for)
anyway I got to read vol 2 of the manga and I remembered that the artist drew their interpretation of Lilith. So, it made me wonder if Beel or Belphie would know how to do hair, since they were the closest to her, and if she ever asked them for help?
I think Levi would be able to follow any tutorial, or figure out how to do something by trial and error since he cosplays (I bet he made his ruri-chan wig himself). I'd love to show him a picture of the heroine from whatever anime I'm watching and ask if he could help me recreate their style
Asmo we've seen in the dame cards, he's done some cute hairstyles!! I bet I could go to him if I had a fancy event.
I still think about Mammon's dame card... The chokehold it has on me is wild. We saw him do his own make-up in the art, and I think it was said he made his own outfit. So he's a maybe I could go to him? Or he'd put a lot of effort into learning because he knows it'd make me happy lolol
Barbatos also looks really pretty in the dame card !! I haven't read that devilgram, so idk if he did it himself, but what can't he do? I know in TTWF devilgram he literally makes MC's outfit and it made me SWOON
my last thought is if you can just do stuff with magic instead. Does it drain your energy to keep the style, or is it a one and done kinda spell, and don't gotta worry about it? Could a really powerful sorcerer change their hair color, and never have to worry about it fading? That'd be really cool, since I need to re dye the streaks in my hair. That would save lots of money LOL
okay I'm done 😅 time to wait ten billion years for my hair to dry now and try drawing (aiming for every other day to create something new to get better!!)
- ✨ anon
HOW do you handle having hair that long?!?
I'm 5'7" and I used to have my hair down to my low back. It was during the pandemic when I couldn't exactly go get it cut, so I just let it grow lol. And it grows dang fast, but I don't think I've ever had it past the low back area??? Do you accidentally sit on it sometimes? Or is it usually okay because you have it tied back?
All I know is I was so relieved to chop it all off lol! It's super short now, which is how I like it. It takes me ten minutes to wash and style it. I just don't have the patience to maintain it when it's long. And it's naturally curly, so having it short also means I can just let it curl and not worry about it. Ah but I am pretty envious because I always wanted to be able to have one of those really long, thick braids...
Anyway, getting off topic here, back to the question! I do think magic can be used to alter hair! I think sometimes you can get stuff that's temporary (I do believe there was a daily chat about this where Asmo put some kind of potion or something on Lucifer and Mammon?), but I would be surprised if there wasn't some kind of magic spell to permanently keep your hair whatever color you want. I think it's probably just a one and done situation so you wouldn't have to maintain it. Or at least, they'd want to develop something like that because otherwise it wouldn't be worth it right?
As for the characters, I agree with your assessments! I do think in a general sense, they'd all try their best to do your hair if you needed them to.
But as for who would already be capable without having to learn first, I think Asmo is a top contender. Barb can absolutely do anything and I don't doubt that styling hair is something a good butler should know.
I think Levi is another good option for the same reasons you said! I think he probably does have some skill at wig styling! And due to his ability to do costuming in general, I kinda think he'd be able to do a good job on real hair as well if he wanted to.
I love the idea of Beel and Belphie being good at it because of Lilith. Like I'm imagining they only know some really basic styles that were her favorites, but they're happy to do them for you any time. Maybe they get a little misty eyed while doing it because it reminds them of her so much. Awww...
I actually think Lucifer would do a good job, too, but expect to be sitting around for hours because he's gonna make sure no hair is out of place. Only perfection will suffice.
I think Mammon probably mastered whatever style he needed for his dame outfit, but I do think he would learn for you if you wanted him to.
Satan probably already learned from a book or maybe just from watching Asmo doing his hair. But I could see him wanting to do really elaborate styles or maybe using magic to style your hair.
I think Solomon would also be someone you could try, but he would absolutely use magic. I think if you really wanted him to, he would know how to do simple styles by hand. I could see him being really happy to carefully braid your hair by hand. But he wouldn't be able to resist a little bit of magic, maybe to give it an extra sparkle or a streak of color~ I think he'd develop all kinds of hair styling magic if you wanted him to lol.
Diavolo strikes me as willing but perhaps not the best at this particular thing... he doesn't exactly have experience with his own hair.
And I'm not sure about Simeon. I feel like he's pretty competent (except for technology obviously), so he would probably be able to learn how to do it fairly easily. But I don't know if he'd already have some knowledge. Same with Raphael. Though I love the idea of both of them like... doing the hair of little angels~
Mephisto would know about a bunch of fancy Devildom styles, but would he be able to do them? I think you might end up with your hair braided like a horse's mane instead.
Thirteen would know how to do everything. She's got her own long hair and there's no way that she hasn't experimented with it over the years! I love the idea of her doing your hair and her own hair in the same style so you match.
Anyway, I hope you have been able to get some drawing done! Every other day is an excellent goal! I'm rooting for you!!

ranking anime i’ve watched in 2023:
as expected, here’s this year’s top 10 for how much i personally enjoyed the anime i’ve watched this year. ive watched more than this, but god i watched so many bad ones…. even number 10 sucks but everything else was worse. sad!
as always thank u gifmakers for ur service 🫡 the world would be nothing without u all
10. the legendary hero is dead! (2023)
youtube
dont watch this show. it sucks and its bad. hey. come here. hold my hand. now lets just watch and enjoy the OP ok? don't worry about the rest.
9. my daughter left the nest and returned as an s-rank adventurer (2023)
i have to admit this show charmed me. its not the best thing ive ever seen but its nice. comfy. yknow? i haven't finished it but it's enjoyable. can't rank it higher until i finish it
8. sabikui bisco (2022)
if it werent for the positively nonsensical jump in the middle of the show and the way theres just like. a lot of gaps? it’d rank higher. it’s a very cool premise for a show and i like the bisco/milo dynamic, and [SISTER] is fun as hell. it didnt wow me though overall, and while i enjoyed it i was hoping for more.
7. trigun stampede (2023)
im sorry trigun stans i simply didnt love it. i see the appeal i really do but it just didnt hook me. i really liked the animation and the storyline. im intrigued by whatever the fuck is going on with those plants and yall have said theres a tallgirl in the next season? so i’ll keep watching. i just didnt love it
6. that time i got reincarnated as a slime (2019-2021)
in contrast to #7, i can see why this show is weak HOWEVER i just enjoyed it. i like it. huge fan of how much gender the protag has. i love how they get new powers. i enjoy that it can be interpreted as an extremely bisexual show. it was well paced and the slime diaries OVA was a great addition. a lot of the characters really stuck with me too and its like. idk. one of my favourite isekais i guess
5. buddy daddies (2023)
this should rank higher. its so fun. its SO fun. its silly and it doesnt take itself seriously. i laughed in every episode. the dynamic between the guys is great. the dynamics between them and the kid is great. just a really solid show if you can stand the queerbaiting. i dont even care
4. bocchi the rock! (2022)
the bocchi side of tumblr is right this show rules. i like how real bocchi’s social anxiety feels (literally how it felt when i had it). the characters are entertaining, the show’s well done, they even have solid music (which band-based shows dont always do right!). its really funny and its really earnest and its a joy to watch
3. demon slayer: swordsmith village arc (2023)
i included the entertainment district arc in last year’s list so this arc makes the cut. im always late getting around to watch the new stuff and i dont want to read the manga but god DAMN does this show hit different. incredible fight scenes. i loved everything they did for the hashira backstories. i love whatever the fuck is up with genya. it even gave me some akaza to sustain me for the next year or whatever. ik this show gets overhyped but its normal hyped. to me.
2. frieren: beyond journey's end (2023)
oughhh frieren… ive only known this show for a few months but it means to much to me… i dont even wanna talk about it because its so good i just wanna watch it again. go watch frieren if you havent already its anime of the decade. to me
1. gundam: the witch from mercury (2022-2023)
ive never seen a gundam before but i will be watched them after this! what can be said about it that hasnt already been said on this site. the romance storyline is impeccable, the fights are awesome, the moral questions it posed were excellently covered. by the end of the first episode i was speechless. by the end of the last episode i'd cried like 4 times over the course of the show. this thing made me cry to happy birthday. what the fuck
#t#i dont main tag these on principle but i do want to find these later so im using my tag system. sorry main tag browsers#tensura#buddy daddies#bocchi#kny#frieren#gundam

Hi, I am invading your ask box! :3c
One day, I think I saw you do a large "lycoris recoil"-posting streak and realized I never even noticed you had posted about it before, which prompts the question: what are the anime you really enjoyed (and perhaps don't get as many opportunities to talk about)?
hiiiii :3
admittedly, it was really only around a year ago when i watched bocchi the rock that i seriously got back into anime (before that it had been some... rather unfortunate show choices as a teenager so i never really got that into it), i also don't entirely remember what stuff i have and haven't posted on here, so i'll just talk about the stuff i've enjoyed over the past year or so (in the order they're listed in my folder) at some level of detail and maybe there will be some stuff i've neglected on my blog! i've watched a good bit of stuff thanks to semi-frequent watching with my girlfriend
lycoris recoil - i enjoyed this show a lot! fun plot and i really liked chisato and takina!
adachi to shimamura - very cute show, i want another season!
bocchi the rock - not much to say here given the contents of my blog, i enjoyed this show so much that it got me back into anime and somehow catapulted me into a little friend group and also having a girlfriend somehow? thanks bocchi!
girls last tour - i read the manga before watching the anime, but as a whole girls last tour has ended up as one of my favorite pieces of art of all time, it's so good!
gundam the witch from mercury - show that tricked me into liking gundam with the power of yuri, there is now an hg aerial kit in my closet that i haven't gotten around to building
madoka magica - a show i somehow had not seen until this last october, i enjoyed it just as much as i thought i would from its reputation
nichijou - another one i somehow hadn't seen! extremely silly show that maybe sort of contributed to the realization that i could just be a girl? don't worry about that last part
yuru camp - very cozy show! watching it makes me kinda sleepy and remember going camping when i was younger, i appreciated the number of trains in the most recent season! (i got really excited when the ikawa line was in the show and then even more excited when they talked about how it's a rack railway)
and there we go! looking back i've posted about most of these, but it was fun to go through what i've watched recently and think about it again! hopefully this answers your question! :3
#ask#that turned out a bit longer than i expected lol#some that i haven't finished so aren't on the list but have been enjoying so far are kemono friends (s1) and magirevo

Oh no... I am so sorry for annoying you with my ask about comparisons between ONK characters with other anime characters, I truly did not mean to annoy you at any single way or bring any sort of trouble, I made this tumblr just to formally apologise I do am ashamed to talk on my main so I am a coward but still I just feel I am dumb while i read thus can't have a good judgment but... and I like reading from people I know is smart for sure and I won't bother you again with fandom discussions I will just support you correctly I truly hope you can forgive me, far from my intentions to bother you in any single way I am so so so sorry
Hello~ I thought of replying this to you privately, but since it's not an ask sent through your main according to what you say, I hope you don't mind me replying on public! I feel the need to clarify what exactly I felt as I was answering you on my end as well..!
Oh, no, I wasn't so annoyed earlier, I just... didn't think the answer was something that'd need to be asked because isn't it so obvious? If you've been watching and supporting me, you'd know what answer I'd give! XD The take you brought up was quite extreme... things usually don't tend to be so black and white, even if it's a manga, so the answer I could give felt like a given. I understand you need assurance sometimes, I've been there! Was that what you were looking for earlier? It's nice to see similar takes and get some confirmation! I appreciate you having trusted me to give out some good insight about a topic you're interested in. But.. at the same time, I didn't want to state that people are necessarily wrong about their takes on my answer. I've never seen them, so I can't be sure enough to judge, and I could only talk about my own feelings. I may not agree with it, but they're a different person and I don't know enough to disagree with something I haven't seen. And I don't think I'll try and see takes like those on purpose either... even if I came across it, I'd just pass through it...
I haven't been drawing Aqua so much lately, but if you'd like to see my takes on the character, my drawings would reflect my feelings! I believe I've still drawn a few! Never got to depict his warm sides as much as I'd like, recently, I've been drawing him very annoyed about his dad bc how the story's been but if things turn for the better in the manga, I'd love to try drawing him that way :)
It's my personality, you see, I don't really enjoy debates, my friends do though? If my friend was here, they'd have had a lot of fun with your ask. I just tend to prefer keeping to my thoughts most of the time (except for the things I'm really passionate about!) Some people may really enjoy getting these asks, I'm... it really depends on the question, but maybe I don't enjoy it as much as some others may. I might enjoy some really cute and uplifting type of things... but hearing Aqua being taken as a heartless person's kind of sad; I do care about that character too. He's a character that's been suffering, he shows signs of PTSD. When I first read the comic, I felt pretty immersed towards his emotions and I sympathized with him a lot.
I'd like to say I didn't intend for you to get all apologetic and nervous! Wow, you even made a blog to apologize? but you really didn't have to! It's very hard to convey the tone of voice through words, ain't it? I was being really casual with that reply earlier. If I could just read it over in my voice, you'd have heard it and figured this person isn't so mad about it. I was talking the way I usually do! So no worries, I'm glad I got to hear from you again and hopefully I could lift you of your feelings you're having. Um, I'd be happy if I could provide some good takes about this series you can agree with :) We may not be able to agree on everything, but I have a feeling you might end up enjoying how I view things regarding this series. Will you still support me despite having felt this nervous about it? I'd like that to happen! Hope you have a nice day!
#iamablowfishcryin#asknreply#and I'm off~ see you all later!#that aside I think I'll be turning off anon asks for awhile till things clear up a bit more in onk#I love anon encouragements.. I'm really happy about them...#but maybe I need to rest a bit for my peace of mind

Imoprtant!
I haven't been here for a long time. So much has changed and I wanted to share one thing with you.
I decided to give up on anti kagome a bit, I mean my posts, not people who send me their opinions, as always, my inbox is open, whatever you want to write, anti kagome too. That's no problem for me. I like reading your sentences, they are often so well-pointed. However, I decided to move away from it a bit because I want to focus on Kikyou/InuKik.
(As for the questions waiting to be answered. I have them all and I will answer them, don't worry)
When I want, I will write something negative/anti kagome, or only that. This series has a lot that I don't like and I would like to share it with you in the future. I will express my thoughts and I will not hide them on the blog, I will show them. Really, if anti kikyou/inukik fans can write really anti content about Kikyou, why not InuKik/Kikyou fans?
Over this year, I've seen a lot of anti-Kikyou content in Kikyou's tags, belittling her feelings for Inuyasha or making analyzes about her, showing her as bad and Kagome as the best. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, so we Kikyou/InuKik deserve and have the right to say what we think, whether someone likes it or not. It's not that I will post anti content about kagome/inukag in pro tags, no. I'll just put them where they belong in anti tags.
I know InuKik is a very small fandom, but we exist! We provide content here or on other platforms! This love is still with us after so many years of ending the manga and anime. That's is something I love the most about our fandom! Love to Kikyou/InuKik is burning all the time.
We really need to start speaking our minds more loudly in this fandom.

All your posts abt Trigun has me wanting to watch/read it now. But like ... How much damage should I expect to recieve from this? Is it Evangelion level type of hurt or what? Is it tragic, traumatic, and homosexual(even just enough to feed my gay brain)? Pls advise.
Yes, there's MUCH emotional damage, but in a good way. That completely devastates and traumatizes you, then heals you with a genuinely hopeful message of love & peace. :'3 (So don't worry, bc despite all the fucked up tragedies and suffering, the ending is still a bittersweet happy one.) The manga is one of those gems that will probably change your life~ and/or go insane with the Feels, as I don't think I've seen any fan who has come out of it emotionally stable or 'ok' 8'D. Extremely worth it, but it's a hard seinen with some pretty difficult/heavy content for some to stomach. And oh yes, from my ace eyes, it was quite disastrously bi too (nothing explicit, but more...Victorian style longing for solace that's subtle/artful in a way I like) - swinging both ways that were meaningful, poignant, and important to the mc in different ways (so yes, Vash has two hands for Wolfwood & Meryl). However, as a fair warning, one of them is perpetually doomed by the narrative, which made me mentally bluescreen when [redacted] happened, that I probably still haven't recovered from to fully process it - so I'll just say, cherish it while it lasts. :')) And don't ignore the women also, because they rock~
Also fyi, the old 98 anime, manga, and new anime are all different tellings of the story. :O So to introduce yourself and get the most out of all the lore, trying it out in release order is probably what I'd recommend (as that's what I did, tho I grew up with the old anime-eng dub first as a kid too.) Note that the old anime has a lot more filler/humorous moments (as it was made before the manga finished, and they characterized the mc as a bit of a skirt-chaser for some outdated gags, when he's not Like That in the actual manga and new series at all, so just Be Aware that that's a thing you can ignore) so it tells a different story than what the manga becomes, but to slowly introduce you to [The Pain] that happens around mid-way, the old anime can 'gently' prepare you for the meat of the manga, because oh, it goes way harder than anything the old anime showed. :'3
And the current Stampede anime is utilizing manga-only endgame elements/lore in new ways that are fun to catch if you've already read the manga too (and I'd say in vibe it's much closer/accurate to the manga's too, meaning there's not much relation it has to the old anime, so you can safely separate them), but just don't expect the new anime to be exactly like the other two either, as it's still its own separate thing - so that means, all in all, Trigun is 'holy shit 3 cakes!' worth of content to enjoy~
#trigun#anonymous#replies#the amount of content may be overwhelming but it's worth it#you can find the manga's dark horse tl at manga4life/mangasee123 or look for the overhaul fan tl#and you can easily get BOTH anime's dubs/subs from animesuge.to

hello!!!! I'm currently riding the high of my Sailor Moon special interest and I've always had this thought!! Usagi and Mamoru are flip4flip to me!! PGSM and the manga like pointing out that Tuxedo Mask is more similar to a magician rather than a Lupin-like character because of his abilities and in the PGSM, he was comforted by one when he was a kid! He's leaning towards the persona of a children's entertainer because of his interest in puppetry and ventriquolism, so he's a natural caregiver. On the other hand, Usagi is more of a listener caregiver who'd let little!Mamoru vent to her about his worries of the past and future, the both of them crying themselves out. <33
Seren: Whoo, a fellow specially interested! Hi!! First ask in-box! Thank you for waiting.
Usagi and Mamoru definitely seem to be the types to swap between caring for each other and being cared for, don't they? Just remembering how they did when they babysat, (For reference: S2E07. EP53 in whole series order.), Mamoru does seem pretty good with kids! Usagi obviously could use some work in that job, but she's got a lot of potential.
Usagi interpreted as a carer is so underrated. Absolutely, Carer!Usagi towards Mamo is unusually attentive and is tender as a rose. She'd just have to be, that's who she is around him. Also, as Mamoru has a trend of different types of amnesia (retrograde amnesia in the manga VS both retrograde AND anterograde amnesia in the 90s anime), due to his childhood, and the clear identity crisis that followed. I can see him having a dissociative disorder of some kind, through instances of this affecting him while regressed or not, especially needing to be looked after and cared for.
Ohh, the thought of these two openly crying their hearts out together makes me sad and happy at the same time. I do imagine Usagi would be the perfect balance of emotional support and childlike whimsy for Mamoru whenever he's regressed. They could visit animal shelters with lots of kittens since he loves animals, go to the library cause he's very smart and loves to read...
I didn't know there was a scene like that in PGSM!! Haven't seen the show at all yet, but Unity has. I'm not too knowledgeable in the manga canon either, haha. (Psst. People, feel free to add onto this post if you can come up with anything relevant covering that !)
Backstory in the R Movie tells that way back when, Usagi likely inspired Mamoru to become someone who protects and cheers up others, including her. So innocently yet already so full of heart, little child Usagi reached out to poor 6yo Mamoru while he was crying by giving him the rose. Then Mamo giving the same flower to Fiore.
I always did find that little puppet of his Tuxedo Mask persona very cute, could see him having an interest in puppetry like that, entertaining and cheering up children all over! The more I think about it, it...makes a whole lot of sense, actually, since he spent so much of his childhood alone after he was orphaned. :-(
He'd want so badly to help kids who are going through the same parental loss, same traumatic events and loneliness that he had endured for so long. Since he was already studying to become a doctor, What if he traveled to children's hospitals specifically to perform for them?
(Uni is understandably nervous and confused about this whole 'running a blog thing' for the first time, so I'll let him add on any answers of his own he might have later.)
SFW INTERACTION ONLY, PLEASE AND THANK YOU!

Writer Tag!
Thanks so much @blindmagdalena! How many works do you have on AO3? As of right now, 67. What's your total AO3 word count?
No idea lol.
What are your top 5 fics by kudos? A Lungful of Smoke Quid Pro Quo The Trees Stood Witness The Beast You've Made of Me the beast you've made of me
I feel like three of these should be discounted because I wrote them in like 2017 - the Hawks one was literally when he was first introduced and we didn't even know his civilian name then.
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do, though not every comment - usually if they're just like "Part Two!" or "More plz!" I tend not to reply to those. I tend to worry about looking like I'm purposefully boosting my comment number by replying to them all.
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? Definitely "as the stars explode".
What’s the fic you've written with the happiest ending? I'm not sure, most of my fics are smut oneshots so I guess hitting the big O is a happy ending. "The Gift" was a pretty happy ending for Grimmjow and Reader.
Do you write crossovers? Not usually but that doesn't necessarily mean I never will.
Have you ever received hate on a fic? Yes. Once I got a particularly stupid one about some girl getting salty that I spoiled a character's death - a character that had only appeared in the manga, so as an anime-only watcher she shouldn't have even been reading about him since she shouldn't know who he is if she hadn't already seen some spoilers.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I think it's pretty much all I write lol. I'm trying to branch out a bit but I worry people feel cheated with no sexy payoff.
Have you ever had a fic stolen? I have, though this was back in like 2015 of a fandom I'm not naming out of embarrassment, and they reposted it to ff.net. Luckily I don't think Reader Inserts are permitted there so I'm assuming it got deleted anyway.
Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, a couple of times! Mostly into Russian.
Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, though my Peaky Blinders OC fic is based off an RP I was doing with my friend, so some of it was partly written by her, which I'm repurposing with her permission. <3
What's your all-time favorite ship? I tend to not get too involved with shipping because I like ships that are more unusual and get tired of the same super-popular pairing getting shoved down my neck. That being said, I am forever salty Peaky Blinders set up Tommy/May in Season 2 and then inexplicably just sorta dropped it because May's actress got preggers. (I want them to finally get together for the movie so badly but I'm not holding out much hope.)
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? I like to think once my hyperfixation kicks in I'll go back to some fics I've ditched but I find multichapter stories difficult to commit to. I do want to continue with my Demon!Dabi story and that Dazai one I wrote one chapter of and then ditched. What are your writing strengths? I think I'm fairly good at dialogue and I try to put unique twists on concepts I've seen done before. I personally also enjoy the personalities I give to my Readers, I'm a bit picky with Readers in Reader Inserts (I hate it when they're either super passive and meek or aggressive af for no reason).
What are your writing weaknesses?
I think I have a bad tendency to skip a lot of exposition because I want to jump to dialogue. I also sometimes worry my writing is too beige prose-y and I should take my time a bit more. Also I am awful at finishing multichapter fics because I get distracted so easily. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I guess it depends on how it's used? I quite like it when people write characters with accents, I think it adds a nice flavour to stories. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Fruits Basket and Naruto lol. What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to I have a bunch of like, half-started Billy Butcher x Reader concepts but he's such a hard character to write for. I think it's because I don't get to discuss him nearly as much as Homelander. What's your favorite fic you've written? I'm personally pretty fond of "I'm neon phosporescent" for Dabi being a kinky bastard and "stardust in my eyes" as my first foray into The Boys.

Fave shows tag game - I genuinely feel like this has been circulating forever. I think I did this on myspace
I was tagged by the lovely @ladylowkeyed
Rules: List 5 favorite shows (in no particular order) and answer questions accordingly.
1. Boy Meets World 2. Willow 3. Infinity Train 4. Never Have I Ever 5. My Hero Academia
1. Who is your favourite character in 2?
Graydon sad little bard prince!
2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?
Probably that manipulative Southern Belle that made Eric do all her bidding and then when he stood up for himself, did the same to his best friend.
3. What's your favorite episode of 4?
I haven't rewatched it recently but the season one finale was so emotional I know I bawled!
4. What is your favorite season of 5?
Probably season 3 because that's when Bakugou gets kidnapped and Deku forms a secret squad to save him, though this last season was really good too AND had the apology scene which was 🥺😭
5. What's your favorite relationship in 3?
I have a soft spot for season one so probably Tulip and Atticus
6. Who is your anti relationship in 2?
okay so listen LISTEN. I am a multishipper BUT I mostly only ship multiple ships when they could conceivably happen at the same time in a poly situation so even though i totally see it, I can't ship Elora and Kit because I already ship Elora with Airk and I can't have sibling polyamory. It squicks me out sorry. Maybe in another universe
7. How long have you watched 1?
Basically my whole life lol
8. How did you become interested in 3?
people on tumblr saying Infinity Train was really good and they were worried it wouldn't get a second season and the first season was free on cartoon network so I watched on there so it would get the views.
9. Who is your favorite actor in 4?
probably the lead, Devi's actor is Maitreyi Ramakrishnan although the people who play her parents are also amazing.
10. Which show do you prefer 1, 2 or 5?
omfg these are all my favorite shows! They are all my favorite of the genre they are in. I guess I would say Boy Meets World because there is both a lot and it is consistently good but also they are all pretty consistently good which is why I cHOSE them!
11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?
Boy Meets World but only because there are more episode. I haven't finished it completely but I have completed Infinity Train
12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Never Have I Ever? probably Fabiola or Kamala. Fabiola because she's the most like me, queer black woman(gn) in STEM and her drama is way less dramatic then the other characters. Kamala because she's really hot and it's like wife goals/life goals.
13. How would you kill off your favorite character in 5?
Bakugou would go down after having defeated a powerful villain and saving Midoriya and that also might be how he actually dies??? I don't read the manga I don't know but I've heard worrying things like that my fave boy might be unalived??? 😭
14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?
Uhh actually I totally think it would. Devi would definitely go on the train and learn tough lessons from insane people
15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.
Boy Meets World. You know maybe Angela and Rachel? They both deserved better.
16. Overall, which show has the better cast, 3 or 5?
American Animation vs Japanese Animation. Uhh I don't know how to answer that because it's like, they both have a large diverse cast of characters. I GUESS I would pick MHA because we get to see the characters over a longer period of time

if you're like 'aww why didn't they tag me?' i'm tagging you, you're it

somehow we are already only three weeks away from the end of some fall 2023 shows, so here's me more or less finalizing my list for winter 2024!
(undead unluck, sousou no frieren, dog signal, ragna crimson, and shangri-la frontier will be rolling over from this season for a total of 19 shows)
most excited for warumono-san for obvious reasons (asnm) but also of course really looking forward to dunmesh and cherry magic
high card, mashle, and synnoir are the sequels/continuation this season... they're all just fine enough for me to keep following, nothing outstanding. i'm surprised i don't like high card more, just didn't vibe super hard with the first season i guess
sengoku youko is an interesting-looking one to me, haven't read the source material but the manga scores look really good! what's especially interesting is the episode count is currently listed at 37, and i haven't seen a series that runs for three straight cours in ages
i'm just... worried...... because biscuit hammer (same mangaka) also had very high manga scores and got really just the most godawful anime adaptation you could imagine. it was BONKERS bad. i'm talking the manga has an 81% average score and the anime has 49% i do not know how you fuck up that badly
anyway... godspeed and good luck sengoku youko
we've had some fantastic shoujo lately (watakon) and i'm hoping next season's yubisaki to renren will keep that going
most everything else is either a cast add or a "this looks potentially funny" add, except bucchigiri?! which is a staff add for me (same creator as sk8 apparently)
i just wish bucchigiri were coming out like at least a season or two later, or had a different studio. mappa let your fucking staff go home jesus christ
AHEM anyway looks like a promising start to next year!
#crab watches#various things#winter 2024#tl;dr dunmesh obvious early aoty contender#most excited for warumono-san#also hype for cherry magic ani FINALLY#want to be excited for bucchigiri?! by same creator as sk8#but it's a bit hard to get all pumped up for it when all i actually want is for mappa to shut the fuck down#and give their entire staff paid leave for a year
