I both moved and worked today. Which means I’m beat.

Okay, hi, I'm gonna be doing another yap, but it is about our dear fellow, Remus Lupin.

Now, I personally love Remus, and just going forward, this post will be about Marauder's Era Remus Lupin, not him in general, because I feel like there's such a wide spectrum of him, or it could just be stretched differently, just because Alternative Universe Remus Lupin could be so much different than Marauder's Era Remus Lupin, I guess, because the world is different, and yeah, just that.

But I feel like in the Marauder's Era universe, where there's these things held against him, I feel like he is different, or he should be perceived differently. So this is how I perceive him.

So, I guess in the Marauder's Era, I don't believe that he was, well, an arrogant, un-liked person who would just be quite rude to other people, and just lash out on things, because when you put the werewolf part into play, I feel like he would not want to walk into the stereotype that werewolves are these kinds of people who are rude and stuff.

So I feel like he just quite puts himself into a cage, where he limits on what he says, how he acts, and, well, definitely not how he thinks, because lord knows what he would have to say on his mind. Because, well, he would have a lot to think about. Because if he limits himself into being this kind and nice person... He's gonna feel quite... Repressed on... Things. So this kind of defeats the whole rude characterization of him. Because, well, there's also statistics. If you are a very rude person, very unlikable... And then people figure out you are a werewolf... They're gonna hate you more. But if you're a nice person, and kind, and you try to listen to people, but people find out you're a werewolf, you know... They're gonna try to feel sympathy for you, at least.

And I feel like that would play a lot into his personality and how he strives to be as a person in Hogwarts. So, I guess this is how I perceive him. Anyway, on to how he performs, I guess?

I definitely agree with the intelligent aspect of his character. He's definitely intelligent. He'll definitely push himself into something that he can not be. This goes for... Not anything, but you get what I'm saying. He's gonna push himself to be this kind person, you know? He's gonna push himself to be this academic scholar. Because this is just himself being a step closer to breaking a stereotype. A stereotype that people don't even think of him as. Because they don't know he's a werewolf, but he knows he's a werewolf deep down. So he has already formed this stereotype, whereas other people don't know, you know? So, I guess I can put him into an overthinker category, too. I mean, how are you not gonna overthink if you're a werewolf? Especially with the chances that can be put into you. If you're a werewolf in Hogwarts, I mean, with the whole wars going on, of course, you're gonna be an overthinker. So I guess some stuff can slip out of his tongue when he's angered and stuff. But that's just not his personality. Like, being rude, lashing out, that is not his personality.

There might be more that I can say, but my mind isn't doing well. Because I'm sick. But I guess this is just how I perceive Remus Lupin. Especially, I emphasize Marauder's Era. This is how I perceive him in the Marauder's Era.

The problem with *some BL office dramas is they seem to think that I care about their business success.

Like let me give some examples:

We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd knew how much I as an audience member cared about both the company our boys worked for and the project they were working on. How much? Not much. Except when it relates to their romance. Zhou Shu Yi having to work with Gao Shi De again because he works for his dad's company and they're doing a merger. Classic forced proximity. Love it.

This is the shit I wanna see. Their romance. The company could crash and burn for all I care. All I know about their work is that they are in an office and making some kind of software. That's it.

Here's another example. Cherry Magic! They work somewhere that make pens and stationary. Sometimes they have to do lots of unexplained paperwork. Do I care about the details surrounding the pen company paperwork? No. I don't. They know this and respect my time by not having a character spend an episode walking me through the pen company audit paperwork.

When a character has a big project, it is brief and has a clear connection to the romance arc. In season 1 and 2, work project moments just create big "reasons we cannot be together" crisis moments to be overcome.

*Step By Step, on the other hand, forced me to sit through employee training sessions and about one full length boardroom meetings per episode about products and marketing campaigns. I felt as bored watching those scenes as I would have if I was actually a member of a marketing team sitting in on a meeting that could have been an email.

Apart from the meeting where they first decide to use Put, there's no clear romantic drama or stakes in many of those scenes. It's literally just business. I do not care about Forge, they were just a client, and yet that client's name is now burned into my brain. I do not care about Olive and Pearl (?) or how their karaoke night marketing is gonna be amazing because look we got Put in it again. In fact, get that guy out of my face! All I care about is our main characters and their romance. And yet I must sit through board meeting after board meeting after...
