if you cannot afford the price of an esim individually, there's a campaign currently running on twitter to which you can contribute whatever you can afford ($1, $3, whatever) to a larger pool which will then be used to buy esims collectively. there's also the crips for esims for gaza fundraiser, which operates similarly. there are probably more than this! i chose these two for this post bc they are currently active + both have easily vettable proof of donation (screencaps in the qrts of the twitter campaign, financial accountability document in the crips for esims campaign.)

finally, look into local grassroots organizations in your area so you can stay in the loop on protest activity. many such orgs have accounts on instagram. if you are in the us, looking for local chapters of the PSL, the palestinian youth movement, or national students for justice in palestine can be a good start.

please, please, please: pick something here and do it. i know it can feel overwhelming and there may be an urge to tell yourself that you'll reblog this now and get around to it later. instead please choose one thing. even if it's just finding orgs in your area and following them so you'll be notified the next time there's a protest. even if it's just downloading the flyer designs and looking up a print shop where you can run off a stack of copies. make a decision to do something tangible right now, even if it's just a first step.

Doing all this bc as it turns out, after two months of trying to fix it the technician declared the pc dead. I used my laptop to draw, make animatics sometimes, be commissioned art, to start mcyt community projects and events, and other personal uses.

I do not have the money to buy it on my own, so if you can't either, I ask on my knees to reblog this post in the hopes someone kind with extra money sees it and can help me out a little, with whatever amount they can. A few dollars make a huge difference if a bunch of people have them spare, for example.

Edit: unfortunately had to spend money on stuff recently, for traditional art, errands and things for my cat so the goal has gone backwards.

Edit 2: had a medical emergency and the cost completely drained what I had.

Insurance fucking sucks please help me :)

Hey y'all, I've got some word back about some costs that my insurance is not willing to cover, and I'm looking for some help. I'm a disabled woman who recently injured myself in the exact spot I was already disabled (my spine) and my quality of life has dramatically lowered. I'm trying to buy three things that will greatly improve my quality of life; - An orthopedic support pillow set: $160 - A shower chair: $50 - A bed table: $40 Aside from these I'm also flat broke, and need help buying food and paying medical bills until the next short term disability payment from work hits. Those payments are 50% of what I would be regularly making, so I've been really struggling paying for everything I need. I've completely forgone spending on things that are fun. With that said, I don't think $250 to help with bills is asking too much on top of the costs of the medical equipment I'm trying to get, but literally anything will help right now. Trying to survive 🥺

Did you get used to the scene!!

Winter has come hard for us after displacement, oppression, and displacement. There is no good shelter to protect us from the cold, nor enough blankets or heavy clothes, after we lost everything in trying to survive with our lives.

My family consists of 23 people, 10 of whom are children. We were displaced without anything but the clothes we were wearing, and with the weather being cold at the moment, children and the elderly are almost freezing due to the cold.

I ask you to help me provide winter supplies, such as clothes and heavy blankets, for my family, which we cannot buy in light of the skyrocketing prices in Gaza. Remember my friend: “You must be a human being before you can be smart, rich, and educated. All things fall if your humanity falls.”

I beg you to protect my family from this danger and keep them alive.🙏

I'm tucking this under the cut but tldr; life update stuff.

I'm really bad at posts like this so I am going to preface it with: I'm sorry if I stumble.

A year ago, I lost my job with no notice. It was a job I'd been at for a decade. I tend to stay with the jobs I get--so for this reason, I've actually only had 4 altogether in my entire lifespan; I stay for 10+ years, and I've only left them because the companies straight up folded.

When I lost it, they owed me about a grand.

I've been struggling since then to make ends meet. My friends and partner have helped me stay afloat, and I live with my parents--which is a complicated situation that I'd rather not get into, though I will say that it's certainly not helping my mental state in the least. I've managed to make ends meet, between that, and people helping me out--both when this first happened, and when my computer died last year (thank you, again).

But despite my best efforts and over 500 applications, I haven't managed to get a job. I take commissions here or there, though with my brain being as it is, I'm backlogged and can't accept any more of those.

I'm making a concentrated effort to make life easier on myself. Toward that end, I recently went and applied for (and got, thankfully) low income insurance, which I hope will help with some of my problems.

But I figured I'd reach out here and also say: if you're someone who enjoys my content and wants to support me in a way that isn't just likes + reblogs + kudos + comments (all of which I love, please know--this is not to discount them in the least), I have a ko-fi and you are welcome to donate there. Anything you donate will likely go to helping me get new glasses (assuming my insurance doesn't cover them, I don't know what it covers yet but mine are busted--I'm hoping it covers them? and mental health? Maybe dental? My teeth are so messed up) and probably trying to get driving lessons because I don't drive currently.

There is no pressure. I promise I am not going to be homeless tomorrow, nor am I going to starve, I'm not in immediate danger and I'm genuinely okay. I don't want to trigger anyone feeling guilty--I know these sorts of posts can cause that.

hey, i'm out of money after rent and groceries and i think i need to ask for help getting through the rest of the month.

Sunday, Cookie jumped off the bed and after a moment, started screaming in pain, refusing to put any weight on her front left leg. We rushed her to the vet and they did an Xray. They found that she had several hairline fractures caused either by a fungal infection or cancer.

The best course of action is amputation as the infection is on her upper leg bone and not in her chest cavity. If left alone with just pain medication, the bone would continue to weaken and break. She's still so full of life and Faye's (my fiancee) ESA (Emotional Support Animal).

Apparently, this isn't entirely uncommon with greyhounds and they're able to recover and adapt as tripods, so we're relieved we're not alone in this, but it's still an emotional roller coaster that we're still processing.

Cookie is on medication to help her be as comfortable as possible until Thursday and we're keeping an eye on her. Thank you again if you donate and/or reblog. For any kindness you may give, we can't thank you enough.

Cinderella Boy Cosplay Ideas

And here I am, with no free spending money, putting together Chase and Buddy cosplays for my husband and I. I am not in the habit of sewing my own clothes anymore (donated my dress form and sewing machine years ago) so here's the kind of look I'm going with...hoping most of it can be thrifted, or otherwise picked up inexpensively online...if I even go through with it...

Anyway if you wanna help me be a nerd and cosplay, did you know you can buy my books on Ko-Fi and it has a pay-what-you-want feature? Just saying...

Chase: Fairly easy, just a plain white shirt and pale blue jeans combined with the most 80s/90s core jacket matching his color scheme I could find:

And wig! It's not cosplay without a wig! (I mean it totally can be if you can't or don't want to wear a wig, but for me? gotta wig it up)

Overall looking at about... $150? Not the most I've spent on a cosplay for sure.

Now, for Buddy, he's frequently called "mall goth" by Chase, so I want to go for a look that could come straight out of classic Hot Topic...which means, I looked mostly at brands that Hot Topic USED TO carry for inspo. Because they don't really carry a lot of goth clothes for guys anymore. ugh.

So anyway looking for a top that fit Buddy's "standard" outfit? or even his general design sense, that would make sense for my husband to wear?? Absolute hell. Fuck this design but also damn it's a good design.

Please bear with me while I give you my sob story: I'm a young adult that's struggling with entering the adult world. I'm disabled and can do barely any of the normal starting jobs that people my age and younger have. On top of that, I'm AuDHD, have crippling depression, anxiety (social AND general), and paranoia. Essentially.... There's a lot of hurdles. My main concern is the chronic pain and fatigue though.

So.... I'm trying to save up for a laptop so that I can do remote jobs. Something that will help me get started with earning my own money. That brings me to my commissions!!
