“hey brooke!” i hear a voice from behind the booth im sitting in, nursing a sprite and a small fry.

“hi paige,” i say, grinning. she smiles back, and slides into the other side of the booth, then reaches over and takes one of my fries.

“get your own,” i chide, while sliding the fries closer to her. “besides that, why’d you randomly want to know what college i go to?”

she shifts in her seat. as she opens her mouth, a waitress comes by with a happy meal. paige opens it up and dumps her fries into the other end of the nugget box. before she eats, i quickly snap a picture.

“you don’t mind if i post this? it’s kinda how im paying for my guilty pleasures.”

she nods, “yeah, tag me. anyway, i asked you about what college you went to because i thought i knew you from somewhere, but i just could not figure out what. also, you’re like, really pretty so i wanted to talk to you.”

she blushes at the last part, which makes my cheeks go a bit pink. 

“well, you’re not exactly bad looking yourself. when can i see you again, because it’s getting late and i want to see my bed,” i say. taniya would be proud of my straightforwardness.

“Well, i’ve got tickets to a Sun & Fever game for monday, and the person i was going with just bailed on me, so do you wanna come?” 

i blink at paige in shock. i’ve literally known her in person for maybe twenty five minutes and she’s already offering me things?

“i mean, im not doing anything, and the Sun’s arena isn’t that far, is it?” i ask, hoping to get any more information on whatever she’s proposing.

“yeah, it’s probably only like an hour with traffic, but i can pick you up and drive you home if you want? or we can get a hotel? i have a hotel, but i can cancel it if you wanna you home, i just didn’t want to drive again after the game because leaving would be hell.”

i nod, hoping it looks cool and confident and not utterly confused.

“yeah, we can keep the hotel, it’s okay.”

“aight, i’ll get you on monday around three.”

sukuna is so used to being the one overshadowing the others - he's used to being the one admired, revered, respected, for his power and intelligence. it's safe to say he'd also be used to seeing people fight each other just for a lick of his attention - desiring for even just a glance from his way. so it's a given that he's not used to feelings of possessiveness or jealousy.

but now that he has you, someone who always has others admiring you from both closeby and afar, he's beginning to understand those petty sensations and thoughts. he's obviously never one to be insecure about your popularity, on most occasions, he even likes to make a show of it - he enjoys seeing them gnashing their teeth with envy as he flaunts his relationship with you in front of their faces - "see this? all mine," he seems to say, as he openly kisses you in public.

but when it catches him on a bad day, perhaps following a bad argument, he sees you with someone who is obviously interested in being more than just a friend to you (which you're not aware of, frustratingly so), and he starts feeling sick to his stomach. with everyone else who came before you, sukuna would simply tell them "don't like it? then leave," whenever they voiced complaints to him about their relationship... but now it's the opposite of what he wants. just the thought of you being with someone that isn't him gets his heart dropping to the ground, making him feel restless.

he knows he isn't the best at being soft. nor at using the kindest words when he gets heated. he'll always be more selfish than selfless, and he's not the most emotionally intelligent. it's unlike him to use words like 'i'm sorry' or 'i love you' so he's uneasy for the moment where you might find someone who'll be everything that he isn't amongst your sea of admirers, and that you'll leave him and never look back.

it's simply so humiliating, feeling this way... he's not sure what to do about it. you seem to be seriously upset this time around, and he knows brushing past it or glossing over it using his usual charm (which is a bad habit that he has) isn't going to work. you're not acknowledging him or responding to his texts properly or saying good morning or goodnight and it's driving him insane because he misses it... you're not looking at him. he's the one gazing at you, longingly.

sukuna will pin you down eventually, somewhere, somehow, and trap you so that you're not able to avoid him any longer. he'll drag you away from your stupid little crowd of spectators and talk to you in private, where'll spend ten minutes trying to apologise in a strange, roundabout and aggressive way because he knows it's his own damn fault. you know him, so you're able to recognise that he's trying to say sorry. your gaze is still elsewhere, looking off to the side instead of him. and that bothers him immensely.

"why won't you look at me?" god, he sounds so sad and pathetic.

truth is, sukuna now simply withers out and dies a little without your attention. what can he do to have that spotlight upon him once again? why are your eyes on anybody, anything, that isn't him? pay attention to me, and me only.

when you finally spare him a glance, he feels like breathing again. and he'll fight tooth and nail to keep that gaze of yours on him. fuck your insignificant and measly admirers. he's all you need, and sukuna's going to make sure of it. (he'll compromise for you, if he has to.)

he's definitely overstimming you in bed that night, in order to catch up on all the lost pride and attention that you'd deprived him of.

Second of all, we got our twitter account back! We ended up deleting that one post that twitter didn’t like (yes, the one that doesn’t have anything explicit or any nudity on it), which obviously sucks, but at least now we can jump back to posting more or less regularly.

And now that this situation is over, I can say about the thing that honestly tickled me: the last person who wrote a callout post on me right before our acc got locked (=the person who very likely caused the massreporting in the first place) got accused of grooming a 13 y.o. and had their account terminated the very next day. We love first year Rook with first year Idia so much, Anon, you have no idea! And Rook/Idia in general, this is one of the things that I really want to draw properly at least once. For now we only have sketches…

But to answer your question! I like to think that Rook was very intrigued by Idia right away; of course Idia isn’t a beastman, but he is not only super bright and shiny-looking (unusual! Interesting!), but also is a very rare pokemon to see. It’s very easy to picture Rook getting excited and charmed by him, maybe he even had a period of a little obsession~ But of course none of this is in any way returned by Idia; to him being suddenly surrounded by so many loud and annoying people his age is already stressful enough, but Rook is somehow worse than all of them combined. He hates everyone from Savanaclaw, but they’re usually just rude jerks, but Rook? If only he was a rude jerk…

This is such a good question, Anon. It’s honestly still kind of easy to imagine him doing that. He punishes himself constantly, and while I don’t think this is necessarily about control, this absolutely could be about wanting to make himself feel even worse or to distract himself from the other kind of deep pain he’s feeling. Since we’re talking about a character here, as an artist I can also add that seeing him this way could be aesthetically pleasing, there are some very good artworks with this theme.

That being said, we usually tend to think that Idia wouldn’t do that. I agree that Idia being phobic of pain sounds very like him, but also? He is very detached from the physical side of things in general, I think. He would rather torment himself mentally.

Another reason for Idia and selfharm not really working in our heads is that I don’t think Ortho would let him. He is very sensitive to changes in his health condition after all.

After a tireless day after the mission in New York, and Mother’s Day mission, the kids all felt exhausted, blaming themselves for things. Every small detail they ran through their minds, Their father’s kidnapping, Monty being put in custody.

Despite Mother’s attempts to comfort them he was fine the kids were still paranoid he’s hiding something (he most definitely is) his attempt of comfort only worked temporarily

But they relaxed when Monty spoke, she’s their m at this point, she cares for them, she’s always there when they need to vent or they need help with something, Paris feeling like a failure of a som and alpha, Rio saying that when they took the award from him it didn’t affect him, and Kat being more on her feet and fidgety, etc. Monty noted it all.

She found ways to distract them, Dominga baking competition, or just letting them back and cook more often. She always had a comforting motherly presence whenever she was around, even to Mother (he needs a mom AND a dad chat)

Currently both her and Mother are on his tower thingy by the airstrip (May the gods bless me I do not know the name of that)

Mother hands a cup of tea to Monty

violinist au kafka hit the second tower. but actually she's so annoying😭 she needs to shut up atp. but this actually driving me crazy. like the monday after the friday bus ride...her driving by that store a couple times a week just to see r in the window, she's awful. love serval just lying to r so they'd see each other again, loved that, but she didn't know how much kafka sucks. also blade driving, is he actively suicidal in this au still? honestly i feel like blade would be a bad driver, but on purpose, and kafka doesn't seem like the type to drive if there's someone else to do it. her annoying r on purpose and comparing them to when they were both teenagers was great, esp with the contrast after she makes her cry. also her smiling perpetually as part of her mask is also very interesting to me, but i did love this part bc kafka would def come off as a rich asshole if she wasn't a criminal already. and her just like staring in disbelief when she made r cry like it's literally not her fault. she's so good at hiding her emotions too, ugh. and her giving her card too, is she even real. very glad I have this week off uni tho, (thanksgiving) very not looking forward to seeing my relatives and I'm applying to a writing program, but instead I'm yapping about kafka, so really great productivity coming from me. I also got an arcane s2 spoiler abt one of the favs as soon as I opened tumblr, I literally blocked all the arcane tags, fml hate being on the internet sometimes. I have to wait to watch it bc my friend is driving 3 hours for a visit and we're watching it together.

HEHEHEHEHEHE I LOVE UR COMMENTSSS kafka’s so obvious but especially to blade since hes the one driving her around lmfao. hes still suicidal otherwise a big part of his character would be missing i feel like, kafka’s just the bravest😭😭😭 he’d never crash the car with her in it… maybe. i think hes a good driver he just has to fight demons every day. k def can come off as a snob sometimes but thats because of the way she dresses and her confidence + her picky tastes 😭 if i saw her in the streets i personally would just think thats a sexy rich lady but maybe im biased. i’d say she looks nice tho bc of her constant smile. she came in that store with a mission and got bamboozled by the consequences of her actions like shes too funny fr. making r cry then giving them her business card shes actually crazy hdhfnfmf there is so much lore to this au im only writing the parts that make me go insane but like the whole thing is just so great, i havent had a story obsess me like this in a while and the best part is that im making it up so i can add whatever i want 😋 even started a pinterest board first them… like we’re really deep in this
