So it's not sorting members and biases, but how would you rank weki meki albums (by whatever criteria you feel like doing lol)?

ooooo hmmmmmm............. thats interesting..... okay i’ll try it haha

WeMe - i actually went into making this list thinking that Lucky would be number 1, but the more i think about it and look at the tracklist... actually i think it’s WeMe lol. IDLYG is such a unique debut song and i dont care what anyone else says lol, i adore that song. Stay With Me is pretty iconic too. it’s not necessarily one of my favorite bsides of theirs, but it’s good. Neverland is underrated though for sure, i really like that song. and then Fantastic is honestly a candidate for being my favorite Weki Meki bside haha that song is just so... i dont even know, lol. undercover. superlover.

Lucky - this is one of the most solid mini albums in kpop, imo. Lucky is a fantastic intro, La La La is such an underrated title track, Iron Boy and Metronome both slap... i like the album’s vibe a lot

Hide and Seek - Oopsy is great, and Dazzle Dazzle was included on the album too, and normally when previous non-album singles are included in a subsequent album i think it’s kind of a waste of a space, but in terms of making a list like this, i gotta factor in the fact that this album has two title tracks on it lol. in this instance that’s a good thing. but not just that, Moya Moya is another one of my favorite bsides from them. The Paradise is fantastic too, i really wanna see what other stuff Suyeon writes if this is what we can expect haha. honestly with how much i wrote about this one... maybe i even like it more than Lucky? i’ve been thinking that Lucky is their best or one of their best mini albums for basically the whole time that i’ve been into Weki Meki, so i’m gonna have to put more thought into this before i make a decision that drastic hahaha. for me, that’s a big deal lol, i dont wanna just declare Hide and Seek better than Lucky unless im 100% sure. i’ll ruminate on this

Lock End LOL/Week End LOL - okay, so, this single album is above their other remaining mini album. oops. normally i wouldnt ever put a single album above a mini album (and probably wouldnt put a mini album above a full album), but like... this one has PICKY PICKY and TIKI TAKA lmao... i’ve listened to Tiki Taka more than countless other songs from groups i also love, and i’ve probably listened to Picky Picky more than i’ve listened to some entire groups, lol. and Whatever U Want is ANOTHER favorite bside. Petal Fortune is nice, i like it, but it’s not something i listen to that often. but so those first three songs are incredible and they literally (not a joke) changed my life haha, Picky Picky is my favorite kpop song of all time... but the reason this album isn’t higher is just because tbh i would need another banger song, i think. at least one more. it has my favorite song on it, but it is just a single album, even with the Tiki Taka repackage. 

Kiss Kicks - okay now things are getting controversial. Crush isn’t my favorite title track and i’ve made no secret of that lol (but i do still love it, dont get me wrong), but i love True Valentine. ive been saying various bsides are “possibly my favorite”, but i think if i had to actually pick one (and only one) favorite bside right now, it’d probably be True Valentine. but so the controversial thing about this placement probably isnt the fact that Kiss Kicks is so low... because it’s only a single album with just three songs on it.... the controversial thing is that this album is above-

New Rules - sjdklmvldsfg,sf;lg. i LOVE Cool. it was my fifth favorite song last year, which is like super high praise from me lol, i put a LOT of thought into my top 10 list. being in my top 5 is like putting it in the S Tier lol. but uhhhhh idk... i’m just not feeling any of the bsides. Just Us, the one that the members wrote, is nice and it’s meaningful but it’s not something i’ve listened to very often. i dont even remember D-Day (that’s my bad, i should listen to it again). and Sweet Dreams... i know a lot of people like it, but... and this is gonna be a controversial opinion... i just can’t get into it. i could elaborate on that but i’ve written enough already lol... i don’t hate it, it just doesnt really work for me, it’s hard to explain.... well anyway lol. I do love Cool though

so, since i started this list like this last year too, here we go: i know little to nothing about music, i have weird (may i say b a d) taste and my reasonings are - as expected from a subjective list - Super personal ,, also i dont follow every female k-artists so there are definitely blind spots for me too! that said ... LETS GET GAY! LETS GO LESBIANS!

Wind (바람 ) - Heize

suprise surprise, its Heize again. i was rarely this excited about a comeback this year as i was about Wind ... i adore this mini. i really love Heize’s voice, especially now that she is playing around with rapping And singing more than ever, its just ,, i hear her voice and i just, immediately calm down and feel a warm glow in me rising and --- this is getting really cheesy, isn’t it.

my fav tracks have to be Sorry and wish you well (feat. DAVII), however i can listen to this whole album without a problem - of course Jenga as the title was amazing as well, Dahye’s voice works really well with Gaeko’s as well. additionally i loved the ~design for this album, the photoshoot is stunning and the whole aesthetic is very much up my alley.

AND SINCE WE R ALREADY TALKING ABOUT DAHYE:

+ First Sight (첫눈에) - Heize

as expected, i love her winter single release as well. again, a Lovely mixture of her singing and a solid very groovy amazing rapping part. i did like her mini a lot more lyricwise (lots of it is really sad but Sorry has such smart lyrics!!!), however as a “”simple”” winter release that is meant to fit this season, this is amazing.

...... also have i mentioned how Beautiful she is, jfc.

Deine - Ha:tfelt

Oh Boy. Here we go.

this is hands-down my Favorite Release of this whole year. i don’t know if its clear, but i adore yeeun. i adore her as the person park yeeun, who is an activist and very outspoken about her position of a woman in the industry, her experiences in one of the most successful girlgroups Ever, her views on feminism and sexism, the fact that she collabed with a drag organizer for her exhibition, etc etc etc. however, i also love yeeun as Ha:tfelt and adore her music. Pluhmm is such a sensual, fun and soft and yet strong song about her Own Desires and a woman that Wants to flirt and be in love and have fun and Be sensual and its so so so lovely and warm and playful and confident? i died a little at the MV because Ha:tfelt is a Woman and is portrayed as such, she is sensual and sexy and its portrayed by yeeun dancing around a flat in the sexiest dress and feeling herself and. its just Wonderful. so wonderful. i love her. Cigar is super touching too, very smooth and slick and polished and yet it has a vulnerable touch to it and is just ,, such a good song ....... thank u yenny.

Warning - Sunmi

ANOTHER AMAZING WOMAN. if i had to choose a soloist that is more active and actively promotes and performs on music and award shows etc, i’d definitely go for Sunmi. first of all: sunmi is outstandingly hardworking, talented, tough, brave, but also so so so kind and sweet and self-aware (seriously her twitter account is my social media highlight of this year, she is beyond ADORABLE and wonderful and funny) and of course she is fucking beautiful. this album is AMAZING - i can listen to the whole tracklist without skipping a single song. i adore Siren (aesthetically its my favorite title track of hers, though i do think Gashina is a little more catchy, esp together with that choreo - but i Love Siren’s horror-esque MV with the, well, siren-mermaid-imagery, so good!) but personally my favorite SONGS are ADDICT and Black Pearl - both sound very different actually, one being completely in English, but it just shows how well Sunmi can pull of different styles. god ... have u seen her on stage? shes a m a z i n g.

KHAN - I’m Your Girl ?

I started following Euna and Minju already before they debuted ... but what really made me fall in love with both their voices, be it singing or rapping (cause both are quite good at both ,,) was their DNA cover! generally the fact that they keep posting really cool covers on their youtube channel is beyond lovely and these two really managed to make me like a version of DNA ... (probably my least favorite BTS title track, lmao ,,)

their actual debut was just lovely. the song is great, soothing and super smooth and groovy and easy to listen to, their voices are stunning in it, the MV is VERY GAY, the choreo is fun and their outfits for promotion stages were such a lovely fresh wind and i really enjoyed seeing them perform a LOT. i just really like that KHAN already is quite unique and m so so so looking forward to future comebacks!

BBIBBI - IU

no highlight list without Jieun. the lyrics to this track were solely written by her and it shows - IU is an outstanding songwriter, i adore her hard work and experience and talent. the sound of the track itself is fun and bubbly and groovy and Very catchy, but my highlight is how this conflicts so beautifully with the lyrics that are quite ... critical and rough and basically show a very very sweet lovely middle finger to the rumour-netizen-culture around her ,, i am super excited for future full releases from jieun, though i still listen to Palette a lot and think she should take all the time she needs!

Bad Boy - Red Velvet

sadly, i didnt not really enjoy Red Velvets later release this year and neither did i really dig their summer release, but what i do adore to the moon and back is their The Perfect Red Velvet - The 2nd Album Repackage, though thats a lil bit of cheating since i already mentioned their Perfect Velvet album last year ,,

Bad Boy is my favorite title track of theirs this year, the styling is OUTSTANDINGLY GOOD MY GOD and the sound is just, smooth and cool and sexy and just ... damn.

also, Red Velvet definitely has some of my favorite jacket photoshoots of this year, the quality and beauty of their photos is amazing, i could spend hours just looking at those ......... and maybe i did.

What Is Love? - TWICE

the nations girl group powered through this year and released so many catchy awesome songs that i had a hard time choosing one ,, but What Is Love is definitely my MV highlight of the year and also the song itself is so so fun and lovely and cheerful and just makes me feel happy ... thank u for making me happy, TWICE!

You And I - Dreamcatcher

i have to admit: Dreamcatcher is not really my sound. their tracks remind me a little too much of Very Loud Stressful Anime Openings, so i accept that its just not my music taste ,, HOWEVER i actually really really like You and I. the song is very catchy and has this one part right before the chorus that i really love, its a very cool mysterious “dark” awesome track. moreover though i love the Whole Package that is Dreamcatcher (again, this horror-esque style of theirs is Really Up My Alley) - their styling and choreos are so clever and SEXY and goth-y and different, its just so fucking fun to watch them perform, especially the Choreo to You and I is so so so so so cool!

(also they r somewhat of a lesbian cult and m Very Appreciative of that, my god.)

LOOΠΔ - just, the whole thing.

SO - it took me until this year to really get into Loona. i knew them beforehand and was intrigued by the unique pre-debut “schedule” that their company was doing and checked out some songs but never got into them deeper. however, this year i truly listened to the Broad Amazing Variety that Loona offers and i just Have to include them here. all the girls and the subunits are super interesting and diverse and i love how especially the solo songs all sound different and lots of things were tried out and the AESTHETICS ARE OFF THE CHARTS. their full group debut was a little too ... they played it too ~safe for my taste, however i still adore lots of LOONA songs and can only recommend them!

(my favs are So Boring, i love Egoist and Heart Attack and Singing in the Rain and New and ... i’ll get back to this once i develop an actual Interesting opinion lmao)

i Can’t possibly end this list without some honorable mentions, because girls are amazing:

- (G)I-DLE are amazing rookies and performers and just such an awesome new girlgroup. Soyeon’s stage presence is just ,, wow, she is such a good rapper and performer, but the other girls are also so amazing and m so glad they are so successful and loved so far. favorite track of this year is def HANN (Alone), though all their songs are mighty good.

- Oh My Girl. maybe i dont listen to their songs as much but m in deep love with their visuals and stages and man ... call me, Yooa, please, m free almost every night.

- fromis_9 had such a cute quirky hyper Love Bomb comeback, i loved it!

- Momoland similarly had such catchy fun songs, i gotta mention them too!

- Hyuna - i love Hyuna and i wish her all the best and happiness and love and success and i hope to see her on stage again soon! (i especially loved her in Triple H, since i was actually quite a fan of that trio and the retro funky sound they went for ...... big sigh @ cube)

- Yubin ... again, not really my sound, but man. kill me Yubin, just do it, cmon.

- EXID is back to OT5! m so happy!!! I Love You was really fun, but I definitely enjoyed DDD last year more ,, but i still wanted to mention them, such a fun, diverse, different girlgroup that offers lots of different sounds and visuals and stands out to me a lot, so so good!

- Chungha ... m still in the process of falling in love with Chungha but oh god .... have u seen her? her dancing skills are out of this world, her beauty is stunning, she is so so sweet and kind and tough and her songs m so eager to properly discover and also a rly niche point but: I LOVE HER ALBUM DESIGNS SO SO SO MUCH.

- Minseo is another new amazing soloist ,, i discovered her at first through my fav photographers instagram (@ mu_gung) who took just. outstanding pics of Minseo but i also Adore her voice and she has done Amazing covers as well, her Why So Lonely is my absolute favorite and id dare to say i like it just as much as the original ... check her out, her MV visuals and concepts are Super interesting and beautiful and fun as well!

and many many many many more that i missed or forgot!

SEVENTEEN Album Collection

The title seemed pretty straightforward...

Introduction

Welcome to the first post, I’ll be sharing with you what I have collected for the past 4 years of being a Carat. I’ve started being a SEVENTEEN fan aka Carat 3 days after their debut/ when the Adore U MV was released. When I started the entering the fandom, I promised to myself that every album of this group I’ll buy because I started when the debuted but guess what.. I dont have AL1 and Directors Cut also I only have one version for every album with multiple versions (oh come on I don’t only buy albums, I also have expenses for my living yah know!) but yeah the promise is broken. Well its okay because being fan doesn’t define how many album or merch you own right? Anyway, when I already work (I’m still a student) I’ll collect every album and complete it even the japanese version. Please Pledis stop making SEVENTEEN albums have multiple version because my wallet aches and that’s not good :(

Well enough of this long intro and let’s get going with my albums.

17 Carat ; This baby over here is my very first SEVENTEEN album, well its not my very first album because I have 2 fandom before entering the Carat world so yeah. This is I think the 4th to the last copy of the physical store that I bought it to and I feel so lucky because I get to grab one before it comes out of stock in x store. They don’t stock too much album with their branches that often and it may take months and years and ya gurl here doesn’t know online shopping before so I rely on physical stores more than online stores. I got the Black Version of the 13 individual PCs that they have and its fine, its fine no worries.

Boys Be; The start of the version expansion. When its their first comeback I was like wow impressive songs and concept. Well when you’re diving into a new world, you discover a lot and at this point its not about their singing and dancing talent that I admire about SEVENTEEN but their individual special talents like Hoshi doing Choreographs and Woozi composing songs. And I REALLY LOVE THEIR TITLE SONG AND B SIDE SONGS TBH. I even played it into our new speakers and my mom loved it she even saved (songs like rock and fronting) it in her phone! I really think Mansae is SEVENTEEN’s era but still I love Adore U more than anything else (because its their first).

Love and Letter; ITS THEIR FIRST ALBUM! Well I can’t say no to buying both of the version even though its a great pain in the wallet. (TBH its pricey and heavy also haha) I love the letter version but I can’t say that I hate the love version because it has aesthetic content! I pre - ordered this but its not an online store, it is the store where I also bought the 17 Carat and Boys Be. Lucky Me! I had my very first Jeonghan PC.. though its not really a PC but still my baby <3 p.s They had their first win in this era in Show Champion! What a great memory <3

Very Nice / Love and Letter Repackage; Thank God its not a 2 version repackage album. because I’ll go nuts! I don’t have money anymore because I bought 2 versions of Love and Letter right? and its a pricey album each and my mom won’t allow it(me buying another 2 version that is pricey after buying 2 albums in the first time) so there. I really like how I got Wonwoo for the first time here :D and as for having 2 Seungkwan PCs, before it was an okay only because he is a little below my bias list but now YEAH IM HAPPY <3 OF COURSE. He is one of my bias wrecker so its good that I’ve got him (mah bb sunshine <3) 

Going Seventeen (Make it Happen); MY FAVORITE! I mean not really my favorite era but my favorite PCs <3 I got another Wonwoo and a bonus Wonwoo plus Jeonghan PC WAH <3 I ship these two and they are a very lowkey ship but I thank destiny that it exist even though only small population including me supports this ship. This is a very special album for me because so many things happened. First is its delayed for like 2 months so I’m near on giving up but when my friends (I’ll give them initials N and A) went to my house, N and A are KPop fans too like N is a die hard (BTS and SVT) and A is a little bit of a fan (2NE1 Baby); It arrived when we’re having our last day mini celebration (because I’ll be transferring school after that year) in my house. So its like we video ourselves and do an unboxing xD and it was so fun they saw first the photocards before I did. The album has 2 posters, first is the member and the second is a group poster and I GOT A WONWOO POSTER. Our adrenaline was so high that we’re screaming at the top of our lungs when they revealed it to me. Next is reading the photobook AND THE PICTURES ARGHH <3 we just screamed because of these 13 handsome princes and the last part THE PCs! I wasn’t really expecting being so lucky because I got A WONWOO AND WONWOO AND JEONGHAN PCs!!! AND WE JUST SCREAMEDDD  and after that we ate and they left but its fine because THIS MEMORY IS SO PRECIOUS <3 It occurred in 2016. 

Teen Age; This is my least favorite album. Because I wasn’t patient enough to see what the album version looks like and order ROSE QUARTZ AND SERENITY  then when the visuals came out... its black HAHAHAHAH :( I was like not ready about the album. I expected it to be full of rose quartz and serenity and with all the aesthetic feels of it but I just got disappointed with the color and the concept is just too emo for seventeen (sorry if the one reading this loves this version but personally I don’t want to lie just because I wanted to show love) but regardless of this album visuals.. The songs in the album are bop like each and every song were unique and special. Overall its a tie I think? I have a positive and negative output to it. Next time Pledis please release version name and visuals altogether okay?.

You Make My Day/ You Made My Dawn; I won’t elaborate what version are these 2 because so many version so confusing :( ( I h8 u pledis for making me broke). So the You Make My Day Album (on the left) was a gift to me (WAH <3) because my dad has a friend who went to Korea and I asked if he can buy an album and we’ll pay it but He gave it as a gift instead :D That’s a really nice experience hehe. I got Seungkwan Lenticular, to be honest I like this Seungkwan picture a lot. Then I got my 4th Wonwoo PC (he loves me <3) plus I had I cheol in the YMMDawn and 2 shuas for both YMMDay and YMMDawn. Then LOOK AT THAT HOSHI LENTICULAR UGH MY HEART. 

Some last words...

Sorry if some of the pics and blurred or too much white ;_; the lighting in my house was so awful that I had to put some extra lights (and some album picture had so much light in it and turned bad). Also excuse my feels (look at all the words that are in Caps Lock xD). I advise that if you’re just starting to collect albums, don’t rush it. Take time on collecting because if you collect albums too fast you’ll be too overwhelmed and won’t enjoy each uniqueness of the album that you bought. Also if you have albums, try to store it properly to avoid destroying in (well except if you received it with dents already.. we can’t avoid that kind of issue if its shipping tbh. Just be extra careful with the album/s that has dents.) Remember that collecting albums are pricey but if you think that you can handle it financially then I don’t think there won’t be a problem. my top 9 albums of 2017... im totally gonna copy kathryns format but n e wayz ndfewkjnew i rlly only listened to... wanna one... and taemin this last month .. what have i been doing !!!!! and then i remember i used to listen to nct albums alot iconic.... before july??? i hav no memory... i was in hs i didnt listen to anything no time..... i got tagged by @48hours and ill tag @jiminuyasha @hwallsgrl @lip2hip and @dehsi U DONT HAV TO READ AL OF THIS IM SORRY I JUST HAV ALOT TO SAY.....

1. the first - the boyz

i was excited for this.... i remember when i listened to the preview? i was like this is gonna b good...and it was.... boy is good, nice debut. the first 16 seconds?? the best part?? i felt like the chorus of the song could hav went a different way n i felt that way w energetic but theyre both good songs what can i say! walkin in time ... soft... i enjoyed... i dont listen to it as much but its rlly good i rlly love kevins voice.....got it... yoooo.... got it is so good??? like... the first part... kevins voice im gonna die... his voice is like honey... also i rlly like news voice and jacobs n hwalls part???? also towards the end where jacob n haknyeon are harmonizing ?? kings of vocals .. and lastly.. im your boy iconic.... i love this os much... just everything abt it i was so weirded out when i first heard but i just fell in love.. its very unique

worst track: theyre all pretty equal honestly!!! i would say NJDKEW DONT HATE ME BUT BOY...... its like... the same rank as the rest but its the one i least listen to 

2. move-ing - taemin 

this is the repackaged of his second album but it has different songs so im not cheating! this album is way softer than move... definitely... i havent read the lyrics but it sounds like hes in love and in move it sounds like hes not over his ex mood.... but day and night is a cute song.. i love taemin so much :(( snow flower is pretty slow....but its a nice song... taemin rlly has a nice voice that i love n adore... im crying, hmmm i feel like this is the song i listen to the least.. im listening to it rn its rlly good i just prefer pop music sometimes like i wanna dance... and lastly hypnosis hmm i lied i feel like ive never even listened to this kdjewn oh worm... this is a good song.. why is taemin a god???

3. nothing without you - wanna one 

... pleas first of all the intro is amazing it should hav been a full song and the title track!!!!!!! nothing without you!!!!!!! my kings came back w a repackaged album but w more good songs... ms beautiful ... it was .. underwhelming is that a word... but its rlly such a nice song.. im listening rn its so beautiful?? the choreo is amazing this concept is nice .. i just enjoy this song so much :(( wanna.... gatgo shipeo..... amazing. i love this song so much!! sungwoon’s voice is my favorite and in this song it fits perfectly... 10/10 song sorry fakeables! i never listen to twilight :) the burn it up and energetic prequel  remixes r good trust me i didnt like at first but theyre iconic especially energetic......wanna be.. soft... ms energetic.... god u did so much this year.. love u... queen of debut songs... burn it up is good too i love them both... to be one outro NJDKEW I NEVER LISTEN TO THIS BEFORE... it was good ofc

4. limitless - nct

im talking so much ill stop talking djewnf ms limitless i love u... i orginally had cherry bomb album but this came out the 6th of jan :) queen... cherry bomb era was better in general but i love this album more :( limitless... is so good.. i fell in love w good thing cause i watch the same taeyong fancam and he looks sexy!!!! back 2 u and heartbreaker r both good dramatic songs.. baby dont like it iconic?? taeyongs rap.. kill me... and finally angel mayb top nct song in my opinion!

worst track: i like heartbreaker but i listen to it the least! 

5. move - taemin

oh boy well listen... believe me when i say this deserves album of the year?? it is very rare for me to love an entire album this much like even w1 aka my ult group i dont love love love it... but move is so good n im so happy i got into taemin?? firstable, move... sexy.... very good... the choreo is so nice... i just enjoy this song so much..love... oh my... probably my favorite song on this album? it is so good... why is taemin such a god.??? he is such a great singer im in love with lee taemin.... crazy 4 u.... all of the songs in this album r sexy.. i just hav to say that but srsly... this song is so good...iconic... heart stop w seulgi?? the god vocalist in one song u already kno this is a good song.. this song gives different vibes from the rest of the tracks but its good .. rise... i want this song played at my funeral so everyone knows im coming back bitches!!! its so good.... i love ms rise so so much.. thirsty... taemin gets even more sexy w thirsty NJKDENW i need to stopc alling him sexy im sorry... but those r the vibes!!!! when i see him i think very manly... dancing... rated r!!! stone heart is so good... i love it idk what to say anymore i love each song on this album?? back to you... thi s song is slower than the rest .. but i wanna slow dance w taemin listening to this... why i can do... to get back to u... king... and lastly flame of love... a good song!!!! i listen to this the least i think but i rlly enjoy....

theres alot of songs on this album?? but ill just talk abt my super fave tracks... also thank u day6 u hav 0 bad songs... what can i do? amazing...be lazy is such a cute song... m y anthem... hi hello mv is nice.. a relaxing song .. i loved you... pleas this is my favorite song from the album i think?? its so good i love kings day6! i need someone!!!! i rlly love this song... wow...

oh welp. i listened to this at 3 am and i fell in love right away dkewj its so weird.. its so good... each song is pretty good like this is the album u wanna listen when ur driving w ur friends in the middle of the night trust me,. listen to it... their most famous song is high its pretty good... it was one of those rare albums.. like u hit next and its another banger??? i m in love with this album.... i understand not everyone liking it but its ... so good.... change is good. &run is funky... idk these peoples but theyre amazing.... this one reminds me of like a modern version of motolovs song dnewkj alter hmm this one is weird ya... but its good... wow....im listening rn wow.... im trying to compare their music to someone? its like.. fun kinda reminds me of franz ferdinand except its not rlly rock dkewj.. so like slower weird ... 2 am... wow... the beginning.. and then how it transitions.... worm... trippin...this one is funky.. this is what im listening too when im high and im stuck in a house when i go through a door i come out through another door dnewkjn thats how it feels.... headfirst... oh worm... i love this album so much wth.. im sorry oh mama is the last one k  this one is kinda slow? seems the most normal song

ya know part of what i love about BTS’s music is that it isn’t so overproduced or streamlined. i love their music because it like. it really sounds like it was made by them and not 12 production teams who wanted to make a pop song that will sell well. there are some songs that they’ve made that i don’t like, but in a weird way that’s like. why i like their music. its theirs, and it really hits home more because of that. you know ???
