Anakin Faces Consequences
Thank you @killjoypolitics for the submission
I love all your ideas! I was wondering if you had any ideas for a fix-it where the Jedi or Clones (somehow) prevent Order 66 from happening but Anakin still falls. How do you think the Jedi/Senate/public would respond to his attempted murder of the Jedi? Or the marriage? Or the murder of the Sand People? I’m just so curious as to how you think people would handle it! Do you think Anakin would be able to admit he was wrong and try and make up for what he did?
Hmm those are some intriguing questions. Reading them did give me some immediate ideas. Let’s explore them.
I think, for this to work, we need to shift some behind the scenes for the Clone Wars. To start with Anakin’s
let's call them his less than stellar command decisions is noticed and noted, even if no one can do anything about them (because he is technically not doing anything wrong). It damages the trust the Clones, other Jedi, and even his own Padawan have in him.  These decisions include but are not limited to: Spending Clone lives to collect R2D2 (whose memory-properly wiped of sensitive information- is backed up to the central Jedi Temple databanks and had outright stated that it had no attachment to its current body), Anakin’s focus on Padme during the Blue Shadow virus, and his reaction to the Rako Hardeen arc (he was literally the only person in Obi Wan’s life to react poorly to finding out Obi Wan went undercover and faked his death, everyone else got Opspec).
So by the time of the Wrong Jedi arc, no one is actually trusting Anakin with any more information than they absolutely need to. He kind of doesn’t notice because he wasn’t paying that much attention in the first place.  When the Senate demands Padawan Ahsoka Tano for the temple bombing, the Council calls her in to see them, without Anakin, and ‘We know you are innocent, we know this is a trap of some kind, would you be willing to go along to spring the trap and hopefully find who is framing you’ and Ahoska, being partially trained by Obi Wan, agrees.
No one tells Anakin. At the end of the Arc, Ahsoka agrees to continue undercover (as having left the Jedi) and working with the Shadows to figure out what is going on. So Ahsoka ‘leaves’ the Jedi, Anakin none the wiser. She also starts working much more closely with the Coruscant Guard (who had been aware that she was innocent and going along with things to spring the trap).
This brings us to where Fives finds out about the chips, reports to Rex and Anakin, then is ‘killed’ (his death was faked and he was sent to join Ahsoka).  Anakin suppresses the report because he does not believe that his friend Palpatine could do anything like that. He orders Rex to ignore the report as well, specifically not to bring it up to the Jedi Council. But he does it in a way that still implies Anakin will be bringing it up to the appropriate authorities.  Rex does not trust Anakin, particularly not with anything that would make Palpatine look bad. However if Rex did an end run and went directly to the Jedi Council, it would be very obvious. So instead Rex reached out to Ahsoka with Fives report.
Ahsoka, now working with the Shadows, gets the report and they are able to investigate the chips.  Though they cannot remove them, for fear that the wrong person will find out too early and activate the rest, they are able to quickly find and manufacture a way to neutralize the control portion of the chips.
This brings us up to ROTS. To Order 66 and Anakin’s fall.  Anakin leads the march on the temple, and the 501st follow along (not sure where he was going with this), until Anakin strikes down a temple guard while ordering them to open fire. Had it been almost any other Battalion with almost any other Jedi, the Fallen Jedi would have been able to kill many more before he could be stopped.  But the 501st learned some difficult lessons from Pong Krell and Anakin was not gnarly as trusted as he thought.  Anakin is stunned.
Palpatine’s Empire as announced but without the control chips to make the clones kill the Jedi, Palpatine’s Empire lasts 3 days which end with Palpatine’s death. It takes another two weeks for everything to calm down enough to bring Anakin forward to face what he had done.
Palpatine’s former supporters, the ones that are not outed and ousted during the transformation from Republic to Empire and back, flock to Anakin as the wronged party. Their spin is that Anakin was moving to protect the legal head of the government from an insurrection in the form of the Jedi.
It gained no traction, because even though Palpatine’s Empire lasted 3 days, it was still enough to see how many of these people would react. Frankly, there were more than a few of those supporters (beings like Tarkin) whose support of Anakin did more harm to the cause than good.
For many of the Jedi, Anakin’s actions didn’t really rate notice. Not above the horror of the chips, both from the view of ‘all of us would have died’ and ‘the clones would have been forced to kill us’.  Throughout the war Anakin had, mostly unconsciously, been distancing himself from the Jedi. A distance which grew as they realized he could not really be trusted.
For most there was sadness, of course, as more of his actions from the war and just before are revealed. But it was the sadness of an old friend going down the wrong path, not the betrayal of current family trying to hurt them.   Finding out Anakin had betrayed his oaths by marrying Padme and had committed murder was just one more thing that had happened.
The public reaction was mixed. Many bought into ‘The Hero with No Fear’ mythos and could not believe he would attack the Jedi without reason, even after he admitted that his reason was Padme not anything the Jedi had done.  The scandal of it, though, keeps it in the public eye. And it is a seemingly unending  well of scandal for Anakin, Padme, and any number of their supporters.  Not the least of which is the news that Anakin murdered the Tuskans, but Padme’s forgiving him for it was legally binding (As she was acting as a Senator) so he could never be prosecuted for the murders, even if Tatooine and the Tuskens could make an official complaint about his behavior. That Anakin then married Padme made it even worse.
I think, for Anakin himself, if he gets to the point of falling he would not be willing to admit he had done anything wrong. He seems like the kind of person who would double down and insist that he was right for his decisions.

Skywalkers apart au! It's so precious that Anakin gets to be a dad, a rebellion general Dad but he gets to be there for at least one of them and Padme survives and gets to be a mom and maybe someday they get to meet and it's so good.
Also the concept of General Skywalker of the Rebellion feels like it has so much potential cause he was such a big figure in the Clone Wars, he was the Hero, the General, he could probably get the various splinter rebel cells (they were very divided in the early Rebellion) to follow him by sheer reputation and charisma. Imagine Anakin being at Hoth, like the attack is going along the usual Imperial imminent victory and suddenly an AT-AT has been thrown clear across the landscape and an announcement sounds out "General Skywalker has entered the field" cue Rebel Counterattack due to morale boost and Imperial Panic.
What happened to the 501st here? Did he go to the Venator's crash site where Ahsoka was during Order 66 what did he think when he saw all the dead folks?
Fun thought, Starkiller being the apprentice in this AU, means that Sidious has probably been comparing him to Anakin (in part because he's bitter he didn't fall, in other part cause it's great for fueling the darkside) for years so the first time they face off he's gonna be full of spiteful hatred (all going according to plan) before Starkiller gets styled on by the Skywalker, cause Anakin isn't crippled by the suit and that means he's still massively powerful in the force and skilled in the blade (Vader was too, but less than a whole Anakin), I could see Anakin pulling a Lightside version of the Rogue One Hallway scene against Stormtroopers (or even inquisitors).
Rebel General Anakin Skywalker would be an Imperial Boogeyman.
Leia would probably appreciate it for a while but also she'd get a bit annoyed about her dad's reputation and "Legend" and the fact that she's probably got that entire thing to measure up to, making her more reckless or foolhardy. That's a big shadow to live under.
Padme on the other hand is probably in a very different situation reputation wise, she was the senator for the new Emperor's home planet, she's the old queen of naboo from the Trade Federation attack, she's a founding member of one of the oldest discrete rebellion cells but that still leaves some stigma. She's probably so very worried about Imperial surveilance on her or Luke or the rest of her family, and it doesn't help that the Inquistorious has probably been sniffing around for a while.
ok this is a veeeeery long ask so i'm gonna have a veeeery long answer which is gonna go under this readmore:
YES!! yes absolutely! tbh i decided a while back he never gets an official promotion to general, everyone just calls him General Skywalker for so long that it sticks loll. BUT YEAH I mean working with a Jedi is rare and awe-inspiring enough for any rebellion cell but working with the hero with no fear??? half the rebels are wondering if they can interrupt this mission to ask for his autograph
its extra funny bc for the first few years of the empire he's lowkey depressed and like agh i failed the order republic AND my family i'm a terrible horrible no good jedi who nearly turned to the dark side and while he's having this spiral there's some rebel standing next to him pointing and pogging
and yeah he's SO useful in big battles like that!! he's half a legend, half a ghost story, given most ppl think he died in the Purge but here he is, enacting justice on the empire!! tho he does struggle on quieter missions (which happen a lot more at first bc gotta hide from the empire) that you cant just blaze into. its a difficult shift to go from clone wars general skywalker to rebel general skywalker
yeah 501st same as canon ): but OHHH MY GOD yes thats SUCH A PERFECT IDEA, Anakin going with Rex and Ahsoka to the site and mourning them all (and probably going into another depression spiral lbr)
youre so right lollll obvs leia loves the one up she has in an argument of "well my dad's general skywalker, beat that" but as u say she absolutely wants to live up to that (+ is a very independent/stubborn person and would like Leia Skywalker, not just "General Skywalker's daughter" lol)
AND YEAH ABSOLUTELY Padmé and Anakin's roles in this au are both so interesting (is that egotistical to say) bc they're these upside down versions of their clone wars roles, both very loud people forced to quieten down and be Discreet about how they go abt helping ppl. Padmé is really struggling hiding so much (luke's force sensitivity, her rebel activities, all relations to anakin) and trying to protect Luke while helping the Rebellion WHILE trying not to seem suspicious. a lot on her plate -- only made worse by palpatine keeping a close-ish eye on her, and she can't tell why (is it bc of luke? the rebellion? anakin? or is it just his old favouritism or patriotism being VERY inconvenient??)
on the inquisitors, obvs you don't see a lot of them on coruscant -- but padmé's SO scared abt ppl (MAINLY SIDIOUS WHO, YA KNOW, TRIED TO TURN LUKE'S DAD SITH) finding out abt him and she hates that she's making him repress this part of himself but what choice does she have???

BB Season 3 Title Speculations
Just my theories as to what could happen based on the episode names.
"Confined"- This will be strongly Omega and Crosshair centric. I think a lot of clips, including the ones from the trailer where they see each other and the leaked clip, will take place in this episode. It's clear that Crosshair is at his all time lowest so it can only go up from here. We probably will see a glimpse of Hunter and Wrecker, but the name suggests a strong focus on Omega and Cross. This is pre-time jump btw based on Omega's hair. We might also get that Palpatine scene of him saying how important Hemlock's work is as well.
"Paths Unknown"- this gives me strong Hunter and Wrecker vibes. I think it's safe to say that this episode will focus on what the two have been up to since Omega's capture and Tech's "death." Hopefully, we'll see a bit of Rex and Echo as well. However, I feel like this will be more of the boys trying to pick themselves up and find out any info on Omega. We might also see the scenes of them talking to Rex.
"Shadows of Tantiss"- again, this sounds very Omega and Crosshair centric. The use of the word shadows indicate dark times for the pair as Hemlock's control tightens and Cross presumably retreats even further within himself. Maybe this is the episode where we get the time jump since the word "shadows" could mean that time has passed since we last saw the pair.
"A Different Approach"- This could mean two things: either Cross and Omega try a new way to escape or Hunter turns to bounty hunters to help. In the trailer, Fennec is visible with Hunter and Wrecker when they take that boat in the swamp.
"The Return"- this episode name could have a double meaning like the last one. The most obvious one is that it's the return of Crosshair. We know that he and Omega potentially escape and crash land in a ship. I have a theory that they'll both make it out, however, Omega gets captured again, sacrificing her freedom for Crosshair's. Another meaning could be the return of Ventress. It makes sense since she's a pretty big character within the animated shows. I think that we'll meet her on Teth. However, I'm unsure.
"Infiltration" and "The Extraction"- these two episodes seem to go hand in hand. I'm not sure what could happen based on the trailers. Maybe the Batch has to go somewhere to retrieve information or an item for a mission. Maybe that turbo tank chase is during these episodes because Phee comments "not exactly a stealth exit boys." However, I think that could actually be the episode "Juggernaut." Since this is a two-parter, I speculate that we might also see bounty hunters after the Batch.
"Bad Territory"- this episode feels more mission-y based because of the name. It sounds like the Batch are going to a planet where hijinks ensue and they wind up in trouble. It could also mean the return of bounty hunters like Cad Bane or clone assassins but who knows.
"The Harbinger"- now this is where things get interesting. At its most basic definition, a harbinger is person or thing that signals the arrival of something, a herald so to speak. I think this is the episode where we see the mysterious imperial take front and center. Maybe he's a harbinger of doom that the Batch have to out maneuver. Or maybe the Batch receive a warning that Omega's life is truly in danger and they need to act fast. It could also be the episode with CX-1. He does warn (the Batch I assume) that they're being hunted.
"Identity Crisis"- my theory for this episode only makes sense if Tech is the one under the mysterious imperial's mask. This episode could very easily apply to Cross and Ventress as well. However, if it's Tech that's under the mask, then it this title makes perfect sense. He's fighting the imperial programming while the others try to bring him back. But Tech's survival is controversial so I can't confidently say that this will happen
"Point of No Return"- this feels like an ultimatum type of episode. The Batch know that what they're going to do will lead to their demise or survival, including Omega's. On the other hand, this could be the episode where Pabu gets invaded. If that happens, then it tells the Batch that there's no turning back for them; they have to save Omega and stop Hemlock or else they will lose more of what they care about. The Empire took enough from them; now, the clones prepare their final stand.
"Juggernaut"- I think this is episode where we get the turbo tank chase. We know that Cross, Hunter, and Wrecker are together again along with Phee. Alternatively, someone suggested that Wrecker dies in a giant explosion based on the name "juggernaut," but I'd rather not think about that.
"Into the Breach"- according to Google, this phrase means that a person steps up to do a task when someone is unable to do it or there's no one else available. This raises questions: who's stepping up? What task is being conducted? I hate to be that guy, but it's possible we might see Echo or someone die. Think about it: one of the Batchers or an ally gets badly hurt trying to do something and someone else steps up. The episode is a big fanfare of things that go boom and epic music as the task is completed but at a grave cost.
"Flash Strike"- this feels very action heavy. There are many clips near the end of the trailer showing the Batch hijacking ships and troopers fighting/being shot at. On google "flash strike" can refer to workers going on strike without notice. This episode is probably where we see the clone rebellion truly begin to act out against the Empire and Tantiss.
"The Cavalry has Arrived"- the grand finale of it all. It's poetic that the final chapter in the story about a group of special clones is titled after their very first line in their very first appearance in Clone Wars. Like the Batch arriving on Anaxes to help the Jedi and Rex, I think this episode will be the full culmination of the clones' stand against the Empire. We will see the Batch reunited and Omega will be saved... but at what cost? If this show parallels the OT (which I think it is), then we probably will get a happy ending. However, I'm leaning more towards it ending with just Crosshair and Omega left.
Anyways, these are just my theories and speculations. Feel free to share any theories about the episode titles down below. And one quick note about the poster: Hunter's helmet kinda mirrors Jesse's in the final episode of Clone Wars. It's probably symbolizing the end of an era for the clones as a whole. Spooky.

Um I'm sorry this week's episode of Ahsoka???
The flashbacks, the fire the war, the death?
Ahsoka taking Anakin back to the siege of mandalore and then FIGHTING him there? As if it wasn't traumatic enough the first time.
I am really leaning into the idea that Ahsoka is stuck in this loop of trying to be like her master, but also not trying to.
The way she expresses the tiniest bit of resentment for who Anakin became because why wouldn't she?
I feel like so many times characters are tip toeing around Anakin, and his descent into Vader. I wish Obi-wan had known its OKAY to be upset. It's OKAY to grieve the person you knew while simultaneously acknowledging who they became.
Ashoka sees it real time. The reflections of her past show her that the darkness was always there, she just didn't see it. And it SCARES her that the darkness might have been instilled into her, too.
Gawd the imagery too, Anakin rushing into the smoke and flames, the flash of his red bald and Vader helmet, only to be Anakin again.
The call back to Tales of the Jedi's "the best way I can protect you is by teaching you to protect yourself"
I know in the clone wars Ahsoka is a child, I know that, but seeing her in live action, acted out by a child is just... so real. She was commanding an army. The weight of the galaxy was on her shoulders and she wouldn't have even been in highschool.
I have one complaint. One. And it's; LET THEM CRY.
Why does no one ever cry? She stares ominously into the wind, but I feel like there was a perfect moment for an emotional breakdown, or a crack in her voice, a sole tear being shed as she separates from her master one last time. We saw Rex cry in the clone wars let Ahsoka, and Obi-wan cry dammit, let them MOURN their friend, and everything they'd ever known.
On the Hera side of things, I love her. I love that she's willing to lose it all for her family. And I have a feeling this isn't the last time we are going to see her. I would also anticipate she'll be joined by a friend the next time we see her.
The new republic is so annoying Hera should leave they don't know what they got 💅

Adapting Republic Commando into canon
Yes. I am doing this for fun.
RC was written for the EU, so I thought it could be fun to try to adapt some of its story into the current canon. In fact, there are only a few issues that need to be solved for this to work! Let’s begin.
1- Twi’Leks and Humans can breed
This was a rule that took place in Legends, but obviously we known Kanan and Hera had Jacen in Canon, which means there is now no reason as to why Atin and Laseema cannot.
2- CSF
In the EU, the CSF were pretty popular as the police force more than the Coruscant Guard. I figured that this doesn’t change anything in particular, maybe just that Kal says he prefers working with the CSF over the CG because he has Obrim in the CSF
3- Mandalore
So, obviously Mandalore from the EU and Mandalore from the Clone Wars are
different. Well I have a solution to this. The clones were created in 32 BBY, which was during the Phantom Menace. AKA, after Obi-Wan met Satine, well, after Sabine’s well established rule, she created Mandalore as pacifists. But, for the sake of this universe, a group of Mandalorians went to form their own ‘Mandalore’ on Kyrimorut to adhere to their more traditional Mandalorian values. Jango ruled this new Mandalore for a short time, explaining why Shysa wanted his heir, and why Shysa eventually becomes a Mandalorian ruler. This place would still be Mandalore to them, but it would be separate from the actual Mandalore of the Clone Wars Series.
Kyrimorut= New Mandalore= From Republic Commando
Mandalore= Actual Mandalore= From The Clone Wars
4- Spaarti Clones
So obviously the Spaarti Clones bred by Palps don’t exist in canon. So we are changing them to the most recent batch of clone troopers shipped off Kamino at the end of the war. Maybe still made with second generation Jango DNA. Instead of investigating the Spaarti clones, maybe Besany can find something related to Order 66. Which brings me to my next point

5- Order 66
This is the biggest issue of canonization within the series. Because in the EU, there were no inhibitor chips. The clones just followed orders. So
what does that do here? Well
 there are a few solutions.
Solution One is that they didn’t listen. The Nulls are already incredibly deviant when it comes to orders, so not a real problem there. Omega Squad is iffy, because they weren’t around any Jedi when it happened, but they knew they were going to meet up with Etain, who was a known Jedi. I could see Darman still fighting the chip, but not really for Niner, Atin, or Corr. Fi doesn’t matter since he isn’t wearing his trooper armor, and therefore doesn’t receive Order 66.
Solution Two is better. And it’s that Besany discovered the inhibitor chips based on the same report made by Rex that Ahsoka watched. She managed to access Anakin’s database or whatever cause Jaing tech skills for the win. While she did not discover the purpose of the chips or anything, she discovered they were there, and Kal hated having those chips inside his boys’ heads, and had them be removed as soon as possible in secret. Not to protect the Jedi, but just because Kal didn’t want the Kaminoans to be able to control his sons in any way. Then, when Order 66 rolled around, none of them obeyed.
So, yeah. That’s my idea on adapting RC into canon. Thank you for reading!

Started writing the separated bad batch fic....
And shit young Cody is a doll and I love him. Alpha does too.
Story bit under cut
Cody didn't bother knocking on Alpha-17’s door, instead walking into his office with a datapad in hand and sitting down at the free chair across from him at the desk.
Alpha simply raised an eyebrow and sighed, putting his stylus down, folding his hands on his desk at the young Commander.
“Can I help you, Kote?ïżœïżœïżœ
“I assume you know that I'm losing my Captain.”
Alpha nodded. “Commander-sorry General Skywalker has his own battalion now, so I would imagine he would take Rex.”
“Exactly.” Cody said, putting his data pad on the desk. “And I need an ARC to replace him too. Not that I could ever replace my little brother.”
“No one could replace Blondie. I suppose you are here for suggestions on who would fit well from the last graduates who are waiting to be assigned.” Alpha picked up another datapad and moved to open the list as he spoke.
“Actually, I already have my ARC picked out. But there is a small problem,” Cody smiled charmingly at his former Commander.
Alpha’s eyes narrowed in suspicion and he took a deep breath through his nose. “You have been taking lessons from Kenobi. What is it?”
“He hasn't technically graduated, and technically not cleared for active duty from the Kaminoans. EC-9902.” Cody pushed his pad toward the man who was the closest thing to a father. “And maybe I've been taking some finer lessons from General Kenobi on negotiations.”
“Don't let him charm you. He's a menace.” Alpha took the pad and read over the report Cody had written himself. “You and your personnel reports. You realize that he hasn't even been cleared by Nala Se for active duty. Not to mention his status as an EC means he potentially has detriments that haven't been discovered yet in his testing.”
“That's not my concern. He's skilled. Not just as a spotter. His academic tests are off the charts, not to mention his skills as a pilot and shooter.”
“His physical prowess, though, is above average at best, acceptable at its worst.” Alpha countered.
“For an ARC trooper. But he is still well above average and into exemplary performance in his training sims.” Cody argued, still smirking.
“I take my words about Kenobi back. You are a menace. I can't just approve him without informing Nala Se. The 99s are her special projects that she is desperate to keep on Kamino for fine tuning.”
“He's the one I want, Buir. I have a feeling about him.”
Alpha narrowed his eyes. “A feeling? What? You're a Jedi now?”
“No, but General Kenobi has helped me trust my gut. Something you honed in all of us, Alpha.” Cody leaned forward. “And I have a feeling that EC-9902 and the other 99s may have a bigger part to play. I know I can't take them all, but they need to be in the field.”
Alpha sighed and pushed the data pad back to him. “I already was going to put him into the graduating class, and I can bring up his potential and your interest to Nala Se. She has the final word. Don’t get your hopes up.” he warned.
Cody simply beamed and nodded. “I won’t. I know you’ll pull through for me.” He stood up and walked to the “I leave in three rotations. I’d like to have him on the shuttle with me to get to know him.”
“Menace. I'll have news in two rotations. You’ll have an ARC either way.” Alpha-17 watched as his oldest son; the man who took over Command of the 212th, beamed at him.
“Thanks, Buir. I’ll see you for late meal.” Cody waved and left his office, smiling to himself as he looked down at the datapad, showing a bright eyed, goggled clone. EC-9902 would make a perfect edition to the 212th, he knew it.

The Clone Wars 1x5 ‘Rookies’ Reaction Take 2
Tumblr media
STILL SCREAMING
(I wrote this as I rewatched the episode, pausing as I went so that's why it's probably disjointed and all over the shop). Edit: Adding gifs to this because I can and I feel like it suits the more live-blogging style that these types of reaction posts end up being.
Lmao @ the GAR radio hologram
Tumblr media
Omg Echo. It’s baby Echo! Look at him and his reg manuals!
Tumblr media
Hello Sergeant Reed Richards and your lovely silver temples. Is this Sergeant O'Niner? More silver fox clones plz.
Are his eyebrows grey as well?
Deep Thoughts with Kenobi
Lol look at Obi Wan, so happy to see his space husband. Or its just the dated animation. But we’re all delusional here so let’s go with the first option.
Tumblr media
Ah so this is where the ‘Good man, that Cody’ line comes from.
Rip not getting to know more about the lovely clone with the facial hair. Was this Droidbait?
Oof, foreshadowing for Hevy rip
Rip Sentry
Oh hey Fives has his little 5 Aurebesh tattoo already!
Droids! Well that was subtle lmao
I know this is very early on in TCW but there are some funky accents going on with the clones.
Rip Sergeant Silver Fox
Ventress is hilarious. She’s so completely beyond OTT. Ridiculous. I love it.
The entire comm exchange between Cody and the commando droid pretending to be a clone. CACKLING
Droid: Roger roger Rex: *narrows eyes*
Lol @ Cody palming off his problems to Rex. Have fun being in charge of this one!
“The reg manual says that the next–” Omg Echo.
Rip Cutup. What a gruesome way to go.
Tumblr media
“What the hell was that?” A ïżœïżœbad” word? In my animated children’s television show?!
“Ah, that was an eel.” Yes thank you Echo
“Now, that’s why we have the regulation not to go outside.” omg I love him
Lol @ the fanfare when Cody and Rex turn up. The heroes have arrived.
I know I’ve said this before but Rex looks all special with is kama and captain’s pauldron and different helmet and whatever else and then Cody just gets some golden painted bits of his armour and 2 aerials? What is he, a designer retro TV?
Omg the droid pretending to be a clone. You can just tell the animators had a field day with that one.
Thank you for visiting and have a safe trip back? Question mark?
Tumblr media
Gif from this post by @dindjarism
“A droid attack flare?” OMG REX DID NOT HESITATE. Even Cody was shocked.
At this point, “Roger, roger” is basically enough to send Rex’s spidey senses into overdrive.
“Woah, Rex! What the heck are you doing?” An even less of a “bad” word? In my animated children’s television show?!
Also lawl @ Rex’s drawled “Relax” after shooting the droid disguised as a clone at point blank range.
Does Cody not have his gold paint yet?! His armour looked distinctly grey, though they are on a moon so the lighting might be why it looks grey.
“Off the platform!” Rex you just yeeted yourself. And Cody. You actually want to be yeeted don’t you Rex?
Cody is the kind of friend who would jump off a cliff if his friend said to.
What happened on Tibrin? I must know. Is this The Clone Wars version of what happened in Budapest? Will we never know?
It’s a tiny little exchange but you can really tell from the change in voice how familiar Rex and Cody are with each other already.
Also that shot of Rex after he lands from their lines under the platform is absolutely a hero shot and hero pose. There’s quite a few of these throughout the episode and you can really tell that this is absolutely the introduction episode of Rex. So many moments throughout this episode exist just to show what an absolute BAMF he is. Seeing as the character was originally supposed to be Alpha-17 it makes sense. You can really Rex’s jaig eyes really prominently throughout this episode too. Makes sense, seeing as they’re on the front of his helmet, but it almost feels even more emphasised that you’d expect.
Sun bonnets!
Rex just turning around and one shotting the Rishi eel like it’s nothing omg sir stop
Tumblr media
Gif from this post by @dindjarism
Echo gets his Rishi eel blood hand print from Rex! Seminal moment unlocked!
Lmao at Anakin and Obi Wan snarking about their clones.
Rex calls Echo kid! I AM WAILING!
Tumblr media
Rex old boy? Since when was Cody bri’ish?
Rex, your ideas are as bad as Anakin’s.
Tumblr media
The whole scene with trying to get in the blast doors and Rex kneeling there holding up the decapitated head of the commando droid? CACKLING
Cody is so done with your nonsense Rex
Tumblr media
That was the most badass delivery of “Roger. Roger.” I have ever seen and we’re only 5 episodes in.
Aw Echo is already worried about Fives.
Rex is basically the personification of ‘so anyway, I started blasting’ at this point.
Tumblr media
Rex, Sir, you did not have to go so hard in taking apart that droid with your bare hands
<insert line about hell in a kids tv show here>
Is this the first hero shot we get of Rex, Cody and Echo together? Sure looks like it! Look at Rex looking all noble in the background.
More foreshadowing for Hevy rip
Closest thing we clones have to a home. SOBBING
The little nod between Rex and Cody.

"Didn’t say please." There are so many good cheesy one liners in this episode it's like an 80s action movie. I love it.
"We could use a jedi about now." I think Cody is missing his space husband.
That admiral definitely feels like a stereotype of a posh british officer from WWII or similar
Oh damn this is Hevy's last stand. What a way to go out.
Hevy nooooo what are you doing
“I don’t like your tone rookie” Rex was that a growl?!
Hevy just yeeting the machine gun at the droids.
Noooo Hevy
"I don’t." Wow those were some last words. Rip Hevy

Naw Echo and Fives getting medals. And joining the 501st! Also their completely in sync salute and about turn was the definition of crisp. I know it’s probably just the same animation copied and pasted but we can ignore that and focus on how it’s totally cause they’re the twins in their batch.
OMG THAT EPISODE. MY HEART. CLONES. THE CLONES HAVE MY HEART. EVERYTHING FOR THE CLONES.
I think I’m going to have to go back and watch some episodes again because when I first watched this I a) didn’t remember most of it and b) hadn’t started to fall in love with the clones. I should imagine coming back and watching important and memorable episodes again after the finale will have another different meaning to it all as well. Though, given what happens in the finale, I might need to wait a bit. Maybe I’ll come back to it after watching Rebels and a few other things I want to catch up on. I did realise though that I did actually watch this episode when I started watching The Clone Wars, I just didn’t remember most of it. The only bits that I remembered were when the 4 clones (Echo, Fives, Heavy and Cutup, I think) escaped through the tunnels to outside the base, right before Cutup got eaten by that eel.

No Chips Fic
Okay so there's this fic about an au where the clones were raised to betray the jedi and change their minds and I have, not whole fic but a handful of conversations for it:
Rex is three very alcoholic cocktails in when Bly thumps down next to him with a beer and promptly faceplants into the table. "Mood." "She mourns our brothers when they die." Bly replies, barely coherent over the music and noisy brothers. "She mourns them with us and she found a way to get us those medical supplies when an admiral was stonewalling and she's freaking gorgeous on top of it - how am I supposed to handle this Rex??" "Don't ask me. I've got the crazy one remember?" He downs his drink. "Skywalker's supposed to be the non-traitor right? But he's crazy. I'm serious Bly. Completely batshit insane." "What'd he do this time?" The account of Skywalker's recent shenanigans (as if the 501st are not also somewhat crazy) is interrupted by Wolffe, Cody, and both Stone and Thorn as well joining them with their own drinks. Rex raises an eyebrow, mildly impressed that 2 Corrie Commanders managed to join, and asks "So have you thought about it?" "We're not fully convinced yet." Stone raises his hands as they start venting. "Cool it! We won't fight you alright!" He glares till they settle down, and continues "We aren't sure about your Jedi. But if you all decide, with absolute certainty, that this is the path you're going to take, we'll either back you or stay out of your way. Okay?" Bly lifts his head to say that's not good enough, catches sight of the bruising around Stone's eye, and changes his mind. "Maybe we should find you a Jedi. So you can see what we're talking about and get some extra protection." Both Corries snort and tell them that at the rate the Jedi seem to be going they'll get themselves all killed first because they're all idiots, which sparks an immediate argument over who's Jedi has done the craziest thing lately, and that's how they pass the rest of the night.
......
The next time they manage to get a bunch of commanders at 79s on the same night Fox and Thorn are there, and Fox is facedown on the table cursing under his breath. Bly grins like a shark and says "My general tells me you got a jedi?" "He's insane Bly. Completely insane." "Actually he's only mildly crazy." Thorn adds, pinning the hand that reaches up blindly to smack him. "Fox just says he's insane because he keeps flirting with-" Fox lungs but fails to stop Thorn up. "him and it makes Fox blush." Their brothers are all laughing like the little shits they are and Fox slumps down planning vengeance. "He's not that smooth." "You were redder than your paint!" Thorn does not dodge that smack and Cody grins and says "So you get it now?" Fox stares at him. "We pulled him out of a garbage bin. Four days later he found came across a Senator about to beat a Guard and got the Guard to us safely. That Senator showed up in the hospital the next day with four broken bones and no idea who put him there. So yeah, I get it. We're officially joining you in the "keep the Jedi alive and fuck the Sith plan." "I'm not sure that's what we're calling it." Cody mused and Fox threw his empty glass at him.
......
Cody hears the alert that signals a priority message and checks his secure comm. All the commanders and captains have one, they needed a way to communicate privately. Fox: Hey. You know the Sith who placed that order for us? The guy who promised when the war was over and we'd killed all the Jedi we'd be free? Oh boy. That was Fox's "I'm taking the time to say this because I'm pissed off voice." That was never good. Fox: ITS THE FUCKING CHANCELLOR. Cody freezes. Fox has attached evidence because of course he has, and the other commander is nothing if not thorough, so Fox has attached not only his evidence but also evidence of every time Palpatine has done some legal thing that would prolong the war, or voted against giving them rights. Alright. They need to rework their plans. Yesterday.
......
Here's the thing to understand. The clones never exactly trusted the Sith. A lot of them believed him when he set the deal out, but there were definitely some laying out back up plans and what-ifs and no one ever said anything about it because sure, they had a deal, but they only trusted their brothers. No one else. And sure, not every trooper trusts their Jedi generals, but they all hear about how General Koon found a replacement eye for Commander Wolffe, or how General Windu goes back for his injured troopers, or other stories. And even without that, they'll side with their brothers before they side with a Sith who put them in a war that's killing them. And when they find out that the Sith is the Chancellor who clearly has no intent of giving them their rights? Well, let's just say that was a mistake on Palpatine's part.

Kingdom Hearts x Star Wars! đŸȘ
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So recently I’ve been getting really into a Kingdom Hearts mood and this is a bit less of a crossover headcanon and more of an idea? I’ve heard that Star Wars is a possible world for KH4 so I figured why not try my own take! This is basically what I think might happen if we were to get a Star Wars World in KH4! Thank you for tuning in!
✧˚ àŒ˜ â‹†ïœĄËš Characters ✧˚ àŒ˜ â‹†ïœĄËš
Now for starters, we gotta talk about Luke Skywalker as a party member! He’s the ultimate Star Wars character (please don’t be upset 😅🙏)! I have a feeling Sora might see him as a kinda mentor type figure, seeing as Luke is older than him & he does get a bit more serious by the time of Return of the Jedi. Although he still has that kind, but reckless farm boy attitude so I think he’ll get along with Sora pretty well or even Kairi! While Kairi is a bit more soft spoken, I feel like she’ll connect pretty well with Luke due to his ways with the force & wisdom he’s received from Master Yoda.
Another trilogy character I feel would make it into KH4 is Han Solo! The greatest pilot in the galaxy and his Millenium Falcon would definitely make an appearance. I feel Sora might like him because he's cool but I also feel Han might but heads with Riku just a bit. It's mostly because Riku himself is a bit impulsive in a way, despite being calm and collected he’s also willing to do things his way first. Maybe they both bicker about where to head next or who does what in the ship.
Another thing that might be cool is if Chewbacca were a character you could summon as an ally. Maybe he could launch the characters into the air for some kind of light blast attack or maybe he just goes around smashing obstacles and stuff for you? Kinda like Wreck-It-Ralph but hairier.
Okay next one! This is a bit less tied to KH4 actually, but I thought it would be a good idea for maybe a Birth by Sleep AU! Although real quick, I unfortunately barely started watching the Clone Wars a few weeks ago, but I really liked this idea. 😅 But dw, I know at least the major parts & about Rex & Cody so hopefully this is okay. 😅🙏
Okay anywho, the Clone Wars and/or The Bad Batch is next on my list! Since this period of Star Wars mostly takes place before the empire, or at least right when the Empire takes over, this might tie into Birth by Sleep a bit more since BBS is a KH prequel. Or at least maybe this can be a cool alternate world for KH4 since the Clone Wars series is so popular. Anyways though, I feel Aqua might fit a bit more into the Star Wars universe simply because I feel her calm and noble demeanor resembles that of a Jedi knight. After all, she is a Keyblade master, people might mistake her for a Jedi or at least force-sensitive.
Plus, it might be a interesting balance for the Clone Troopers, since I know that the Clones take their brotherhood very seriously. Aqua and the rest of the Keyblade wielders might compare that to their friendships.
A few other characters I’d like to include is Ahsoka, Master Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, although maybe the old man version of him too lol. But these are just a few ideas for the worlds as party members, but I can see the Keyblade weilders helping these guys along in their own personal stories maybe?
✧˚ àŒ˜ â‹†ïœĄËš New Areas & Places ✧˚ àŒ˜ â‹†ïœĄËš
Tatooine - This planet I can see as a starting point for the gang, as Tatooine is like a main setting for most Star Wars content even though it's a pretty shady place. I can imagine quests such as helping villagers with their daily tasks, fixing ships, and keeping thugs off the peoples' backs as you navigate. Although, one fight I've heard people talk about is having either Jabba or Sarlacc as a boss fight. Plus, its where Luke Skywalker lives so it might work!
Endor - This one I feel might play a bigger role than Tatooine simply due to its role during the trilogy too. Plus, forest-y planets are also seen alot in Star Wars, which is I think to add mystery I guess? But maybe the gang ends up taking shelter on Endor and happen to run into, say, Princess Leia? And they have to help her and the rebels fight off the Empire!
Coruscant - This one also adds into the whole Clone Wars-BirthBySleep AU, but this might be an option in KH4. Since Coruscant is the capital of the galaxy, I can see maybe it being mentioned at least? Plus, since most of the gang doesn't live in a world with alot of technology other than the datascape, it would be intersting to see them marvel at all the technology there. Plus, maybe they mistake Coruscant for the city Sora's in? Since they don't really know about Shibuya yet.
Okay I think that's everything but thank you for listening! I hope this was fun! I really hope we get a Star Wars world in Kingdom Hearts but I'm thinking about making a few most posts like these for KH4, but anyways thank you!

Traveling Spider: An Anomaly
Peter Parker (Tom Holland) X Clone Wars! 2137 Words
Tumblr media
'Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.' Peters Spider-Sense warned him as his body began to crumble to dust. "Mr. Stark?" He said as he stumbled towards Tony Stark, his mentor, teacher and father-figure. "I don't feel so good." He didn't know what happened next as the one who had come to raise him as his own son embraced Peter's fading body.
"You did good kid
"
Blackness

Peter Parker woke up with a start. His head ached like hell and he was extremely hot, his mask covering his face. Peter willed the mask to come down and it felt like sand falling off his face. "Hey Karen." He said, speaking to the AI in the suit.
"Yes Peter?" She asked.
"Where are we? And does the Iron Spider need any maintenance or charging?" Peter asked the AI.
"We are on a foreign planet sir." Karen answered. "And no, the suit is fine." Wait. A foreign planet!? How was he going to get back to the others? Ned? Aunt May? Mr. Stark
"Peter? Are you okay?" The AI asked, sensing his destress via heart rate.
"I'm fine Karen
" Peter said as he sat up to take in his surroundings, taking a couple deep breaths. "But being on my own, having no idea who turned to dust
" He paused and stood up fully. Gosh he needed water. "Where's the nearest water source?"
"Go to the foot of the cliff and dig three feet down and you'll find a freshwater stream." Karen replied. Peter did so using the spider legs built into the suit. Apparently the Iron Spider had water storage in case he went on long trips without water to keep his body hydrated. God, Stark was a genius.
"Hey Karen. This suit can turn into regular clothes right?" Peter questioned his AI friend.
"Yes. If you would like, I can manipulate it to look like that of the natives." Peter thought about it and nodded.
"Yah, let's go with that." Peter replied. He was suddenly wearing a pair of boots, heavy trousers that were slightly baggy and had a thick utility belt from his left shoulder to his right hip. There was also a necklace that seemed to be made of thin rope and teeth of some sort. The suit also provided an earpiece that was barely visible so Karen could speak to him. Using his spider attributes, Peter scaled the cliffside back to where he was before to get a better look at the new place. He saw smoke start to rise a few miles away as the sun started to set and told Karn to zoom in on the location. An eyepiece came out of nowhere and Peter saw what looked like a village of humanoids. They had no hair, but possessed two thick tentacle-like body parts on their heads that replaced it. Their skin tone varied from oranges, greens, reds and blues. Peter also notices they all had pointed teeth that looked very sharp and strange looking ears. The eyepiece was retracted and Peter began to head toward the small village to get a better look and maybe meet the natives. 'Hide, hide, hide, hide, hide!' Peters Spider-sense suddenly yelled at him. He took a sharp right and slid into a small cave just as a fleet of very large ships entered the atmosphere. "Karen, what are on those things!?" Peter said urgently to the AI.
"My scanners indicate 1025 droids. 1000 of them are designed for battle, 20 for maintenance and 5 analytics and tacticians." Karen replied.
"Switch the Iron-Spider to camouflage." Peter ordered. The suit reverted back to its original form and turned to a beige to match the sandstone. He watched as several ships were piloted out of the cruisers and offloaded hundreds of battle droids. Anger started to boil within him as the droids shot down those who fought and apprehended the rest. Peter decided to get closer and see what he could do to help the natives.

Earlier:
Meanwhile, Anakin Skywalker was pacing in his room in the Jedi Temple. Padme and Ahsoka had been put into the hospital due to the Blue Shadow Virus and for all he knew their lives could be on the line, not to mention Rex and his brothers. A little warning bell went off in Anakin's head before a splitting headache hit him. Anakin, being hypersensitive to the force, took the blow much harder than any of the other Jedi. This would have felt like a strong rush of wind to anyone else who noticed. But for him, it was a hurricane. The strange thing was, the force wasn't warning him of danger, but something big. Something that could easily become danger. The pain of the headache was almost excruciating. It was like a ringing in his ears. Once he was recovered enough to walk, he headed straight to the council chambers. A few of the Jedi Masters were already there.
"We still don't have any leads as to what caused this surge in the force." Mace Windu said, only the council and Anakin in the room now. "Skywalker. The surge seemed to have a lasting effect on you. Did you glean anything at all from this?" At the words of the Master of the Council, Anakin spoke. He hadn't done so since entering the room, still thinking of what the force had told him.
"... I did feel something." He said, a few of the masters leaned forward in their chairs. "It was like the force was telling me something very big was happening, that wasn't currently a threat, but could very well become one." The council agreed to keep this new development in the force a secret. Because if the Jedi could feel that strong ripple in the force, so could the Sith.
~ ~ ~
In Chancellor Palpatine's office, The master and apprentice were discussing what they had felt. For the sith and the dark side of the force, it told them that there was a chance at unprecedented power that this galaxy has never seen. "Hunt this opportunity down, Tyranus." Sidious ordered his apprentice. "This must not be an opportunity for the Jedi."
"Yes Lord Sidious." His apprentice answered and obeyed. A sinister smile fell on the dark lords lips, he was pleased.

Present time:
After a few minutes of observation, Peter managed to spot the leader of the alien race and noticed he was taken to a cell in a complex, rather than with the rest of his people, who were surrounded and had guns trained on them. Peter constructed a plan in his head:
Bust the leader out of jail and figure the rest out with him.
Yes, it was a one-step plan, but it was the best he had, knowing the native leader would know more about his home terrain, enemies etc. Peter kept his camouflage activated as he snuck past the guards. If he stayed in place, he became completely invisible and the suit kept him from being detected by thermal cameras. He stuck to the ceiling as he climbed toward his destination. The orange-skinned alien was being guarded by only one droid, easy. Peter's spider legs quickly snapped off the droid's head and caught it before it hit the ground, then quietly put it down.
"Alright, what do we have here?" Peter muttered to himself as he soundlessly dropped from the ceiling and faced the panel. Karen told him which buttons to press and the door slid open, letting the leading-figure out of the cell. Once he left, Peter closed the door and kept watch as the man put on his gear and primed his guns. "How do you suggest we free your people?" Peter asked.
"There's a cannon to the west, that's the only thing keeping my people there. Once we take that out and deactivate the manacles, they can do the rest."
"Good to know. I'll take the cannon, you would probably have an easier time leading your people on ground." Peter agreed.
"Here, take this." The orange skinned alien said and tossed him a bracer of some sort. "Contact me when the cannon is out." He said and Peter went on his way with a nod. The plan was set into action and Karen described the functions of the communicator. The cannon was taken out and Peter pressed one of the buttons. "
"The cannon is out of commission!" Peter said through the communicator. As he dashed back toward the camp, Peter heard the leader thank him and blaster fire over the comlink. "Everything good over there?" Peter asked his ally as he took out one of the tanks.
"Yes. Once we're done, meet us at these coordinates." He replied and sent him the location.
"Got it. Good hunting!" Peter said as he received the coordinates.
"Good hunting." And they discontinued contact. Peter finished off the perimeter defenses later than the rest and started heading to the camp, away from the enemy outpost. It was dark by the time he saw the camp, but thanks to the Iron Spiders night vision, Peter could see fine.
~ ~ ~
Cham Syndulla was honestly thankful for the young warriors help and felt slightly guilty leaving the boy to finish off the outer defenses on his own. The rebel leader was currently waiting at the front entrance to the base for his strange ally when he heard a commotion. Cham quickly headed toward the disturbance and immediately knew what was happening.
"Hold your fire!" He shouted just as they were about to shoot. The camouflaged boy then quickly reached the gates.
"Who is this?" One of Cham's followers asked.
"He's the reason we're all here right now." Cham replied. After a bit of further explanation, the two got to know each other further. "May I ask. What is your name?" Cham asked.
"I'd rather keep my identity confidential for now, if it's all the same to you." The boy replied. "But for now, just call me Spiderman." Cham nodded, understanding his secrecy.
~ ~ ~
As Peter was studying a holomap of the planet, he noticed Syndulla leave with a few of his comrades to go on patrol the next morning. Peter was currently studying the capitol planet of Coruscant, described as a city-planet, under jurisdiction of the galactic senate and Chancellor Palpatine. He had already gone over Naboo and Rodia as well when he heard Syndulla return with a few other people. When Peter laid eyes on a dark-skinned robed man, his spider sense tingled in anticipation.
~ ~ ~
When Mace Windu entered Syndullas base alongside the remainder of his men, a little bell went off in the back of his head, telling him to stay alert. Not for danger, but rather for an opportunity.
"I hope you do not mind." Cham said as he motioned to the dancers. "It serves as a distraction for what my people have been through." After a bit, Mace was taken to a room in the back and spoke.
"How do you propose we convince your senator to agree to your help?" Mace asked.
"I'm not sure." Cham replied honestly. "But before that, I would like you to meet someone. Spiderman?"
"Hm?" A voice replied in a questioning tone as the air seemed to ripple before Mace's eyes in the shape of a man.
"I never questioned it before. But can you take down your camouflage?" Cham asked the rippling air.
"Oh, sure!" The voice replied and there was suddenly a humanoid figure covered in metallic scales of blue, red and gold with black and white eyes. It appeared young, though Mace could tell through the force that the boy had been through a lot. "Do you need something?" He asked curiously, so Cham spoke.
"I believe you could be of some help freeing my planet. Are you opposed to joining us?" Teh Twi'lek asked.
"Oh! Not at all." The boy replied. "What do you need done?" He asked. Mace was surprised as to how willingly the metallic-scaled boy was able to jump into battle, so the Jedi master spoke.
"You've been in battle before kid?" Mace said and suddenly the boy turned solemn.
"Yah." He said sadly, though everyone who was listening could tell he was trying to sound fine. "I don't think I'll be seeing the rest of my team again anytime soon." That sentence told Mace and Cham all they needed to know and the trio switched subjects. They got in contact with a few Jedi, the chancellor and the senator of Ryloth. Spiderman had stayed quiet through the ordeal, but Mace could tell he was listening intently .
~ ~ ~
It had been a few minutes and Peter Parker was getting tired of the bickering between the senator and the rebel leader, Syndulla. Peter decided to give the two groups sixty more seconds to try and resolve their conflict before he intervenes.

hi! i sent in two recs a couple of hours ago, but I don't remember if I gushed about them. i thought it would be better to be safe than sorry, so here are four recs (two of them are the repeats, and two are new as a form of an apology if I did do it but forgot that I did)
FIRST
@stealingpotatoes has some wonderful AUs and I can't just choose one, so here is the most recent work of the 501st and Obi-Wan celebrating Anakin's birthday on the road.
https://www.tumblr.com/stealingpotatoes/722258808904335360/need-everyone-to-know-this-is-probably-my?source=share
i just LOVE the art style!!!! star wars is a comfort, and something about this art style gives "fresh baked cookies out of the oven during summer break back when you were a kid" vibes. plus some of the fanart is so funny I laugh out loud not just a nose exhale.
SECOND
my favorite thing by @projectorthus is the annual comics for bo-katan week (reminder this year's bo-katan week is aug 14-20!!). this is the last entry for last year's week
https://www.tumblr.com/projectorthus/693214982054297600/last-day-im-so-happy-this-happened-again-this?source=share
bo-katan is one of those characters that gets misread all the time by the fandom (very crosshair of her. or maybe that's very bo-katan of crosshair since she came first) she is one of the most complicated characters out there, but unfortunately star wars canon does not want to touch that. which is why I am always thankful for the annual comics. it fleshes out bo-katan, and we get to see one iteration of her difficult history. plus I love how bo-katan's eyebags are basically a part of her AND we get more works under the bo-katan kryze x fenn rau ship
Ok now for the non-repeats
Anyone who's part of the clone side of the fandom probably already knows about shy, but still gotta do it. I LOVE @shyranno tbb fanart. I LOVE the downtime comics. my favorite one is the latest one
https://www.tumblr.com/shyranno/705438567285063680/they-call-themselves-the-bad-batch-happy-bad?source=share
i love seeing the batch coming together as THE bad batch. i love seeing their relationship with 99. I love that we get to see echo interacting with the batch before he joins them. i love that we know that fives loves the batch, and the bittersweet knowledge that he would have fit in with them. i love how we see omega in the distance looking at them, yearning to be with her brothers. its just ASDFGHJKL; SO GOOD YA KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING????
ok and the last one is
https://www.tumblr.com/cobaltbeam/710075394514190336/once-the-baby-always-the-baby?source=share
by @cobaltbeam this fanart was my first introduction to who alpha-17 is. it may or may not have led me down a rabbit hole and now he is in many of my clone hcs! i always imagine rex as the oldest sibling who takes no nonsense, so seeing this art of him being a baby??? love it. and I love how he can not be the old responsible one with alpha around. AND BABY REX THINKING HES ON A BANTHA IS SO ADORABLE
HELLO AGAIN ANON
I agree, Bo Katan deserves more love for sure. She’s definitely one of my favorite Star Wars characters due to how complicated she is, and what she has had to go through.
PLEASE if you do not follow @shyranno and @cobaltbeam you are seriously missing out on some amazing, amazing fanart. Baby Rex is everything. Shy’s comic may or may not have made me cry! 💕

Star Wars Characters + their signature Burlesque songs
This is going to be mostly Clone Wars + Bad Batch era characters in this specific post.
Links are available by clicking the song title.
Clone Wars
Obi-Wan Kenobi | “Feeling Good” Muse
The original version of “Feeling Good” is one of the go-to songs for burlesque, it in a lot of ways, it mimics classic big-band cabaret showgirl tunes. Obi-wan has a lot of respect for tradition and those who came before him but he’s also his own jedi and deviates where he wants to. This cover by muse has that element of showy, flirty-ness and the flaunt of a song that can hold its own. The tradition of the brass overlaid with more pop-rock elements mean Obi-Wan can showgirl parade and peel to his heart’s content.
Anakin Skywalker | “I See Red” Everyone Loves an Outlaw
The lyrics are about cheating but the overall theme of this song is about being betrayed by loved ones. This could work for the fix-it timeline where he feels betrayed by someone he thought was a friend (Palpatine) or canon where he’s feeling betrayed by the order. It’s an angry, broody strong with a lot of strong beats and would mimic Anakin’s aggressive fighting, and sparks of wrath. We’re talking a LOT of very assertive, physical dance here.
Padme Amidala | “My Strongest Suit” Aida
This song is about fashion being a woman’s strongest asset, literally its in the musical. I can see Padme doing this as a tongue-and-cheek number because she gets teased for her prolific wardrobe as a Queen and Senator. Everyone knows she’s a powerhouse and this ballad, even tongue-and-cheek- is a BALLAD. The audience is going to worship at the altar of this high-energy strip-tease. And the costumes? Oh, they are encrusted in rhinestones.
Mace Windu | “Bad News” Melody Gardot
This is very in-line with classic lounge-style burlesque. Mace likes it because its slow and he has four + a half-minutes of the audience’s time and he uses them rolling around the stage floor with a thickass purple boa, eye fucking people and they thank him for the gift of that.
Cody | “You Make My Dreams” Hall & Oates
This act was created for one person, and one person only, others get to see it by the grace of the force. Obi-Wan has never missed a performance of it, which is good because Cody spends a majority of his time flirting with the man while casually whipping around tribute fans with impressively playful precision. It’s kinda like watching a bird do a courtship dance for his mate but with body shimmer.
Rex | “Lost Without” Shane Guerrette
Rex heard this song in a cantina in the middle of nowhere and that was the first time anyone knew the man had rhythm. The raspy, vintage-feel, simple chords, and easy percussion with a vocals that have a brass-like quality mean he’s going to toe the line of flirty classic tease, and sultry slow-burn. He’ll be in the audience, flirting and soaking up their attention before he saunters back to the stage to do floorwork that is hotter than sex..
Fives | "Betty (Get Money)” Yung Gravy
If you don’t expect this from that absolute sentient shit-post of a vod, I’ve got news for you: He does it dressed like a Chippendale’s Dancer and always loses his merkin.
Bly | “Mr. Sandman” SYML
This is a song about longing and we know how Bly feels about his Jedi. This is a soft cover, beautiful, elegant. It’s not a tease, its a tribute. I can see some beautiful fanwork happening, a lot of peel-cover-reveal. The choreo is slow but the audience is enthralled.
Fox | “Smooth” Santana, Rob Thomas
Fox chose this song because it was playing at 79s and he liked how easy it was to dance to. He likes to slide back and forth between a raunchy bump n’ grind with some hits and just holding the stage and staring down the audience while dragging a piece of clothing. At least once during the bridge when he’s in the audience, he steals someone’s drink and downs it.
Wolffe | “Teeth” Lady Gaga
The Tempo of this song is very driving, very authoritative but the lyrics are  assertive yet dirty which Wolffe would appreciate. He’d bump n’ grind the hell out of this and probably howl for effect.
The Bad Batch
Crosshair | “Death Don’t Have no Mercy” (Stripped Version) Esterly, Eric McSpadden
This is a slow-burn about the inevitability of death. It’s very Crosshair. The twangy-bluesy guitar with the rolling drums and choral backing vocals make this an unexpected choice for those more familiar with classic burlesque but Crosshair plays everything close to the chest but with the presence to really make this song captivate. He’ll be walking the stage, staring down the audience, and peeling off clothing, slooooowly to keep the tease alive.
Echo | “Say My Name” KNGDAVD
No one was expecting this, even even Echo. The first time he performed, he wasn’t even sure he wanted to perform. This song kicked on, the dirty verb of the guitar, the kick of the beat, the croon of the singer summoned the Domino Twin in him and he went for it. There was bump n’ grind, there was parade and peel, there were so many credits on the floor that this boy slipped and went into the sexiest split of any of the rings.
(Echo now has rhinestoned plastoid plates that snap on to his legs, not head canon, canon, I will not be accepting feedback.)
Hunter | “Desperado” (Slowed TikTok vers) Rhianna, RH Music
The man is a tracker. The audience is his prey. This version is a sultry slowest-of-the-slow burns. It’s all about drawing the tease out, the audience on the edge of their seats, not to see the skin (but also yes) but to just watch this man who has complete control over every single muscle through fluid physicality take off one garment at a time. It’s about the connection he can maintain with the audience, the presence he takes up just by breathing (which is part of his choreo).
Tech | “People Are Strange” Tribe Society
Some performers tend not to engage with their audience because they are so into what they’re doing, enjoying themselves. Others prefer to  be observed, to be art. That’s Tech. This song is sultry and smokey and slow, anyone else would be slithering across the stage and stripping. Tech is using this song to showcase the flexibility of the human body, there are alot of acrobatic poses with very slow transitions. Since Tech is an inventive mind, he also likely likes to innovate new and interesting ways to remove clothing (such as an inverted hand-stand on a chair while removing a thigh-high from one leg with his toes of the other).
Wrecker | “I Believe in a thing Called Love” The Darkness
Classic-rock with a super playful vibe. I could totally see Wrecker choosing a hair-metal inspired track. It’s high energy, perfect for a guy with little impulse control and a whole lot of love to give. He’s gonna rip his shirt off within the first 30 seconds of the song, swing it around and then chuck it into the audience and they are going to eat.it.up. He’s going to have a lot of fun on stage, that’s what its all about for him, he’ll do bump and grind, he’ll do (his version of) classic flirty, he’s gonna tease but in a delightful way and during the clapping-bridge he’s gonna gonna reveal assels (they’re tassels for your butt).
Bonus:
Yoda | “Pour some sugar on me” Def Leopard
He doesn’t take any clothing off and still ends up buried in credits.

(Tbb s2 e13 spoilers down below)
Phee's back
Ok, what the heck is that bug thing (and it better not bite Omega) but it looks like Hunter can hear it.
He can lol and he saved Phee from it
Nice moves Omega!
Tech playing sabacc against himself because he's is the only one who can give himself a challenge is so Tech lol!
Phee thinks Omega is a little badass but needs to branch out, know more people besides the batch (clones). Have friends her own age.
Tech: We never had such a thing, I do not see the issue?🧐
Phee: No kidding 😑
The look on Hunter’s face tho: Is she right? Does Omega need friends besides us? Would that be good for her? She trains like a soilder but she isn't one..should we find her friends?
They haven't gone back to Cid in 20 rotations (good job!). They cut ties with her and she doesn't seem to be happy about it.
She's basically blackmailing them so they can come back but something is wrong. Her hologram sounded funny. Like it's broken or maybe not her? Or bugged?
Phee tells them Cid is useful but don't cross her.
brown eyes again.
Looks like they're going with Phee
I thought Pabu was going to be a person but its actually a planet..or actually it might just be the name of the town.
Looks like Phee doesn't just collect artifacts for profit but because they means something for others people.
Phee hugs shep (a friend) Wrecker joking with Tech saying he's got some competition lol.
Lol wrecker can make friends with anyone.
New kid Lyana, looks like Omega’s gonna have a new friend like Phee wanted.
Tech saying he hasn't heard Omega laugh like that in a long timeđŸ„ș💔
Shep: As a father, theirs no better place to raise a child. AHHHH!❀❀❀ I know he was talking about himself with lyana but he indirectly called Hunter Omega’s father. At least that's how I took it lol.
Phee thinks they should stay here on Pabu.
Wrecker: I'm full, I'm never full!
Tech: I'll write that down.
Lol
Omega thinking about her love/hate relationship of Kamino. I like how they mentioned how Omega really never thought about her lifestyle as a fugitive (which as a child makes sense).
I knew it was way to peaceful
Hunter saves Omega and lyana from the wave just in time. Close one!
Looks like the batch are going to stay on Pabu for a while. Probably help rebuild.
Maybe Echo will meet up with them there and that's where we get the hug scene with him and Omega.
It was nice seeing the batch at peace for once (besides the tsunami) seeing them contemplate the what if's. This was my least favorite episode tho (not that it was bad, because it wasn't). It was a nice breath of fresh air for the batch and I get the build up, that after all is said and done the batch might make Pabu their permanent home. Which isn't a bad thing, if they're alive and happy that's all that matters. I guess I just pictured something different? Idk.
Also, they seem to be pushing the Tech Phee thing and I kinda don't like it. It has nothing to do with Phee (shes fine considering she actually seems to care for the batch unlike Cid and her and Tech seem to have good chemistry) I just don't like any romance whatsoever of any sort when it come to this show. I like platonic and family vibes only. Lmao but that's just me, it's not a huge deal.
Now I'm wondering how Tipping point is going to go down. With the batch on Pabu, how is the empire going to get their hands on Omega? I would say Cid would snitch about Pabu but I don't think Phee would trust Cid enough to tell her about it.
Maybe they go off world for something, like supplies for the town? Maybe Echo asks them for help on a mission with him and Rex? Maybe Phee is the actual back stabber!? ( lol doubtful) Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

For the ask game!
giving u options cause i can’t choose lol
đŸ„€đŸŒžđŸŒ” for Rex, Echo, or Nevaeh! <333
Hiii girly! Thanks for the ask! Bc ur special u get all the answers :))
đŸ„€: darkest headcanon/theory
Rex: most of my like,,, "Rex's dark stuff" is just general clone headcanons because Rex is sort of Nevaeh's "way in" into the clones. so all my Rex angst is pertaining to my character studies of the clones individuality, humanity, rights, and autonomy. and I vent abt that all the time. But here an angsty thought abt Rex's autonomy: I talked about Anakin not always respecting it, but still, we see Rex gain individuality and humanity and, even though Anakin tends to violate it, Rex does also gain a sense of autonomy. Meaning that his body is his and not someone else's and he knows it. And then order 66 happens :')). and all the autonomy he did gained over the last three years is ripped away in abt 5 seconds :'))
Echo: He was largely awake and conscious for the Techno Unions experimentation and modification on his body
Nevaeh: [saturn u did it, u found a way to make me spoil her back story. I will dm you, if u rlly wanna know]
🌾: favourite headcanon
Rex: he is an amazing CO and suuper confident and sure of himself when in captain mode, but put him in any for of social situation ever and he turns into the biggest fcking dork idiot, just stuttering his way through every sentence bc how the fck do normal people even talk? wth man how???
Echo: pre-Citadel everybody thought that he was the responsible one and Fives was the troublemaker. The reality is that Echo was never dragged along on Fives' schemes, he participated willingly and happily and came up with a good 45% of the pranks pulled on the Captain
Nevaeh: She will not hesitate to deck someone actually. Like she is a very restrained and respectful warrior, and a kind person, though she is straightforward and outspoken too, she's never openly offensive. But ooh, you offended someone she cared about? you put your hands on a family member? you try pulling any sort of shit on someone she loves?? you get roundhouse kicked in the face and then punched in the stomach. She will not hesitate to hold you down until you apologise either. Oh you wanna report it to her CO's? Who do you think taught her this sort of behaviour? (Terrans are actually so much more feral than u think girly)
đŸŒ”: fact about them in one of my aus
Rex: this story will mainly be helping Rex finding, and understanding, his humanity and the many facets it can have. its going to be complicated and at times even painful, but in the end he's gonna be better for it.
Echo: now, this story is gonna be a fix-it au, but I still think that Echo's story is IMMENSELY powerful and I don't want to take away from that. At the same time, I also don't want him to suffer as much, so without giving away too much,,, he'll still blow up, but the aftermath will be different
Nevaeh: Not necessarily a fact, but I just loved building her culture and lore. I even started developing a language for them and it's honestly been such a fun time?? so here a couple key points on 'Vae's culture :)
There are 6 Tribes of Terra
1. Tikaani Tribe (Wolf)
2. Maahes Tribe (Lion)
3. Namiri Tribe (Panther)
4. Kada Tribe (Crocodile)
5. Nahash Tribe (Serpent)
6. Catus Tribe (Gorilla)
Nevaeh is Tikaani. Tikaani originated on the Terrans original planet, and is therefore considered higher status than the others. The other 5 Tribes live on different planet's that have been colonised by the Terrans (any native species to these planets has been fully eliminated (bc we don't do Mary sue over here (yes, I agree that colonialism is terrible and no, I do not support it)))
Warriors get a lot of respect on Terra, since they offer their lives to protect their people (which is why the clones' treatment has most Terrans like '???')
The next Tribe leader is one of the current Tribe Leaders children, but it's not about age or gender. The next leader is elected by the members of the Council of Six (Tribe Leaders), which is why most children of Tribe Leaders grow up in competition with their siblings.
I've been traveling all day, but this was sooo fun girly!!! thanks for the ask :))

unit 3 baby
just as uneddited as everything else. I'm tired.
Ahsoka rocked on her feet for a moment, her arms tucked across her chest. She worried about her lip for a moment before she spoke. “Look, I have a good excuse this time,” she explained
“For yet another last minute lecture?” Rex gave the little padawan the flattest look she’d ever received
“In my defense, I had an exam less than a ten-day ago and I’ve got another one already! I didn’t have TIME to set up a class!” Ahsoka insisted, rocking forward to stand on her toes. Rex raised an eyebrow. “And I only have a few days until the final! I have five days until my final and one day until my next exam. I know we’ve got a campaign coming up but I still have classes!”
“Alright, Commander, we can do a lesson. Most of the boys are busy preparing for our next deployment right now, that includes myself. I'll see who’s available, but it’ll be a small class this time, most of the boys will be sad they missed it.” Rex sighed and rolled his shoulders as he relented.
“That’s alright!” Ahsoka announced “I’ll record it for them!” her captain could only shake his head as she smiled.
In the end, Jessie, Kix, and Echo had shown up, although they’d been forced to take a room near medbay to compensate for the chaos of getting ready for the campaign.
“Alright, we're dealing with animals! And how they work”Ahsoka chirped “all animals are similar in terms of how they exchange materials, obtain energy, synthesize complex molecules, detect and respond to signals and reproduce themselves. There are differences in the overall systems but they do those things. There’s a general pattern which goes, "cell, tissue organ, organ system.”
Kix muttered under his breath “cells make up tissues which make up organs which make up organs systems”
“Yeah, exactly. You’re probably going to know a lot about this unit already Kix because it’s a lot of stuff that’s fairly useful for medical
uh medical stuff” Ahsoka amdited, the clone in question nodded
“Well that just means I can help you memorize it all.” The pair smiled and Jessie gave Kix a playful shove.
“Do you know the four tissue types Kix?”
“Uh, whas it muscle, nervous, epithelial, and connective?”
“Yup!!”
Echo muttered ‘show off’ under his breath, but refrained from saying anything further on the topic
“I know what each tissue does too. Muscle tissue is for movement, nervous dose signaling, epithelial dose transport and connective tissue is weird because it includes stuff you think of as connective tissue, and also blood and stuff like that.”
“Right again Kix, do you know what a normal temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure is?”
“Stop asking questions only Kix knows the answer too.” Echo muttered
“Really, I’m supposed you don’t know that one Echo, seems like the bit of random information you’d have,” Jessie admitted
“Yeah, I do know it, but the question was directed to Kix and I wouldn’t be surprised if most of us don’t know these things, even though we’re supposed to.”
“I do know them!” Jessie insisted
“Wanna answer the question for me then?” Kix called, cutting off the argument at its head.
“Oh yeah sure, uhh average resting body temperature is 35-28 or 95-100 depending on the temperature scale, resting heart-rate is 60-100 BPM, and blood pressure is about 120/80, for humans at least, I think we have a slower resting heart-rate, and blood pressure, and I’m not sure at all about togruta, but I’m sure Kix knows.”
“It’s in your file, Commander, I make it a point to read all the medical files of every species on the ship.”
“This class is on Naboo so we’re focusing on humans and gungans, but I’ve got the gungan stuff memorized since it was easier than humans.” Ahsoka admitted. “Anyways, we’re going to cover the heat exchange now. There's four ways to exchange heat with the environment: radiation, evaporation, conduction, and convection. The first two are easy but conduction and convection is something I mix up a lot, conduction is heat exchange through direct contact whereas convection is a transfer of heat through a fluid, so air or water or something like that.”
“Ah, I’m afraid I don’t really have a good mnemonic to help with that one, I just sorta had to practice it.” Kix admitted
“Yea, I was afraid of that, anyways there’s something called countercurrent exchange which is a fairly easy concept to understand. They put two blood tubes next to each other and have one carrying the warm blood, and another has cold blood so the warm blood constantly cools. It can be used for other stuff as well, like for transfer of oxygen. Do you know the fluids in human blood?”
“Yeah” Kix cut in before anyone could “extracellular fluid, plasma, and intercellular fluid, you’ve got those liquids two, Commander, the extracellular fluid is outside, and has plasma and interstitial fluid, intracellular fluids are separated by cell membranes. Blood is also made of red blood cells or erythrocytes, white blood cells leukocytes, and platelets”
“That's true, although the details about blood cells are coming later. For now we cover the fluids and now we talk about fish, freshwater fish do not drink because they’re in a hypotonic environment, and the saltwater fish drink seawater because they’re in a hypertonic environment.”
“Which one are gungans?”
“Well
they live in oceans, but they’re amphibious so
neither?” Ahsoka shook her head “anyways next lecture.”
“Next lecture already?”
“This unit has both the easiest and most complex stuff in the class, or at least, the easiest and most complex stuff so far.”
“So what’s this chapter on?”
“Circulatory system tms, an open circulatory system as hemolymph, and what happens is that the creature basically dumps their blood into body cavities. It's got a low energy requirement but it also means they can't direct blood to specific areas. Blood is a connective tissue, as Kix mentioned previously, but it's got nutrients that wastes oxygen and carbon dioxide. Arteries carry blood away from the heart, veins carry blood towards the heart, so arterie away is a good way to remember it! Capillaries are exchange sites so blood can flow through a tissue or organ.”
“Arterie away is a great way to remember it, I didn’t think of that” Kix admitted, and Jessie and Echo cheered. Causing Ahsoka to blush as she continued.
“Single circulation vs double circulation, in single circulation which happens for fishes has a heart with a single filling chamber and a single exit chamber, the filling chamber is atrium and the exit is the ventricle, I need to remember that for later. Anyways in double circulation which is crocodilians, birds, and mammals, has four chambers and two circuits, the pulmonary and systemic circulation, amphibians and most reptiles have an intermediate type of circulation so it’s a mix of both, I’d bet this is what gungans have, but I’m not entirely sure.”
“Are you not going in depth on gugnans?”
“To be honest, we’re not going that in-depth about any species, the only reason I even know what applies to humans and what's generalized for mamilains is that everyone ends up learning a little human biology by proxy. Besides, there’s a lot of debate about the taxonomy of nonhumans
. Anyways this is where we get to the parts of blood Kix, wanna help me with this?”
“Sure commander!”
“There’s 55% what in blood?”
“Plasma”
“And 44%?”
“Erythrocytes, or red blood cells.”
“The two remaining ones are both less than one percent.”
“Leukocytes, white blood cells, and platelets.”
“Perfect!” Ahsoka chimed and the other two clones muttered that Kix was a show off and huffed in playful faux irritation. Kix preened despite himself and continued right along.
“Platelets stick to each other and broken vessels to make a plug if there’s a hole, and thrombocytes are intact cells used in formation of blood clots but those are other vertebrates not humans, well, it depends, Togruta have platelets.”
“While you’re showing off, do you want to go over the path blood takes in the heart?”
Kix smiled wryly “of course, deoxygenated blood goes to the superior and inferior venae cavae, and then to the right atrium, then to the right AV valve, then the right ventricle, semilunar valve, pulmonary trunk and then to the lungs. By contrast Oxygenated blood goes through the pulmonary veins, the left atrium, the left AV valve, the left ventricle then the semilunar valve, aorta and to the body.”
“Perfect, I’ve been having trouble with that, I think it’s just something I need to memorize. Anyways, wanna know something interesting? Vertebrates have a myogenic heart, it receives signals from the SA node and the pulse is taken in the AV node, and the heart can keep beating after you die, or outside the body if you do it right.”
“Creepy” Echo muttered
“Cardiac cycle next.” Ahsoka muttered “there’s two phases, another thing I just need to memorize, the diastole is when the muscle relaxes and the chamber is filling, and the systole muscle is contracting and the camber is emptying.”
“Yeah, we were just trained for rote memorization, I’m not necessarily one for mnemonics' ' Kix admitted.
“Pressure is highest during the ventricular systole, and the lowest during the diastole. And we’ve gotta talk about electrocardiograms now or ECG or EKGs so that’s exciting. The P wave is the atrial excitation, the QRS complex is ventricular excitation and the T wave is resetting the ventricles back to their resting state.” Ahsoka took a breath. The lymphatic system returns interstitial fluid to the blood, and the lymph nodes act like filters. Veins have valves so vein valves. Oh now we have math! Blood flow is equal to the change in pressure over resistance. Arterioles have smooth muscles in walls that are under the control of the autonomic nervous system. And we move on to respiration.”
“Wow you’re just going over all the topics in this unit.” Echo muttered
“At least it’s not plant sex again.” all three shuttered, that unit was a nightmare Ahsoka cleared her throat “alright, so the exchange of O2 and CO2, t depends on how soluble glasses are in water, if there’s partial pressure it’s the proportion of the total pressure exeter by a gas in a mixture and partial pressure is the force behind diffusion. On Naboo the air is composed of 78% nitrogen 21% oxygen 1% carbon dioxide and other gasses. At sea level the atmospheric pressure is 760 mmHg, pressure and volume are inversely related and this is called Boyle’s law, supposedly someone on Alderon came up with that a few thousand years ago, but no one’s quite sure who Boyle was. Alright! The path of air through the mammalian system, Kix wanna try it out?”
“Mouth or nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli; the alveoli are where gas exchange happens, and each lung has a pleural sac which is a double layer of thin connective tissues to protect the lungs. The inner layer is attached to the surface of the lungs and the other layer is attached to the chest wall. Humans aren't great at using their whole lung capacity, and tidal volume is the mount of air breathed in and out at rest it’s about 0.5 L”
“Thanks Kix! Ok, oxygen is dissolved in bloody fluids, and respiratory pigments are oxygen binding proteins, in vertebrate hemoglobin has four polypeptide subunits, each unit has heme molecules and an atom of iron is bound to the heme. Breathing is controlled by the respiratory center in the brain, so if you die your lungs won’t keep going, and while most of the time breathing is automatic we can also control it, unlike what happens with the heart which we can’t continuously control, thank the force.”
“Yeah, that’d be a nightmare,” Jessie agreed
“Yeah, speaking of nightmares, the digestive system. We need organic and inorganic substances to survive, and digestion happens in four phases: ingestion, digestion, absorption and egestion. There are five organic nutrients, five macronutrients and two micronutrients. Anyone know what they are?”
“Macronutrients are carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, micronutrients are nucleic acids, and vitamins!” Jessie called before anyone could interrupt him. Echo huffed and Kix rolled his eyes.
“Extra energy is stored in glycogen for the short term and triglycerides in the long term. Most long term energy is stored as lipids which are fats and oils, saturated lipids are solid at room temperature and unsaturated lipids are liquid at room temperature. Catabolism is when the subunits are released by digestion into circulation and anabolism is when cells use these subunits as a building block to assemble the macromolecules. Does anyone know the types of essential nutrients there are?”
“Essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals” Echo cut off, a little too proud of himself.
“The essential amino acids are Methionine, valine, threonine, phenylalanine, leucine, isoleucine, tryptophan, lysine, and histidine.” Kix interrupted
“Ok wheel there’s two essential fatty acids, Linoleic acid and alpha linoleic acids.” Jessie cut in
“Boys” Ahsoka muttered
“There's two types of vitamins!” Echo interrupted “water or lipid soluble.”
Kix spoke over his brother “the water soluble vitamins are biotin, folic acid, niacin which is B3, pantothenic or B5, vitamin B1 and B2 and B6 and B12 and vitamin C”
“Boys” Ahsoka said a little louder
“The lipid soluble ones are vitamin A, D, E and K” Jessie bragged
“Boys!” Ahsoka sighed
“Ok well-”
“The required minerals are Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Sodium which are needed in large amounts!” Ahsoka cut off, and her trooper ducked their heads in embarrassment.
“Sorry commander” they all muttered, although they glared at each other from the corners of their eyes as they spoke
“The minerals needed in small amounts are Chromium, cobalt, copper, Iodine, Iron, Manganese, and Zinc” Ahsoka continued, she shook her head but couldn't help the smile that lit up her face. “You guys can participate--I want you to participate, but I do need to explain things, that’s how I’m learning this by teaching it, it’s one of the best ways to learn.”
“I know Commander,” Echo huffed. “We just got
 competitive”
“I know, and I’m impressed by how well you guys know this, I’m sure you would ace this exam. I’m not so sure about myself, but I know you don't really need this class, I do.”
“If I’m being honest Commander
” Jessie trailed off “I went over some of this stuff before the lesson, because I wanted to be able to participate more.” Echo made a face and nodded.
“R-really?” Ahsoka asked.
“Oh yeah, the boys have been in and out of med-bay for the past week, they all wanted to be more active during your lectures.” Kix confirmed, “it’s been useful for me too.”
Ahoska flushed, she hadn’t realized just how much her troopers looked forward to this. “I-I appreciate it, just
maybe don’t get carried away with it next time” she cleared her throat “uh-anyways, most animals have alimentary canals which are tubes with special regions and openings at opposite ends, they have smooth muscle, epithelial cells, and regions with acidic environments that can be separated from the non acidic environments. If you want to show off, can anyone tell me which parts of the digestive system are accessory structures?”
“Tongue, teeth” Kix started
“Salivary glands, liver, gallbladder” Echo continued
“And the pancreas” Jessie finished.
“Perfectly, the accessory organs are the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and anus. Birds have something called a crop, this allows them to store food, they’re in most birds and a lot of invertebrates, the food is softened by a watery secretion and then later they can actually eat it. Pepsinogen is secreted in its inactive form and is changed to pepsin in the stomach. Birds have two parts of their stomach, the gizzard which grinds food, and the proventriculus which secretes acid and enzymes.”
“Birds are weird,” Jessie squinted.
Ahsoka nodded. “Unfortunately we need to move onto something that’s mildly gross, ruminant animals, which sort of digest things twice, tis allows for the digestion of cellulose which vertebrates cannot break down, the rumen and the reticulum act as storage and processing sites, the osman absorbs some water and ions, and the abomasum is the ‘true stomach’ where avid and stuff happens most digestion and absorption occurs in the small intestine, and it's covered in cillus which are little hairs that increase the surface area.”
“That makes it so it can better asrob stuff right?” Jessie asked
“That’s right, the Duodenum is acidic, the arrival of chyme triggers the release of hormones that regulate the pancreas, then the cholecystokinin stimulates the pancreas and liver to secrete a mix of digestive enzymes into the intensten, secretin stimulates the pancreas to release bicarbonate. In omnivores most ingested carbohydrates are starch cellulose and glycogen. Pancreatic amylase digests nearly all starch and glycogen. The liver secretes bile salts that emulsify lipids into small drops, most ingested lipids are formed of triglycerides, and they break down in the pancreatic lipase.” Ahsoka huffed “does anyone know what Insulin and Glucagon does?”
Kix smiled “regulates blood nutrient levels. When blood glucose rises insulin is released and stimulates cells to take up glucose.”
“Perfect, and now we more unto the excretory system,”
“And you said the rumen was gross.” Echo muttered
“This isn’t that bad, don’t worry” Ahsoka muttered “ok so the excretory system includes all tissues and organs of animals that function to remove soluble wastes from the body and to regulate water and iron ballance so it includes the gills, lungs, skin and kidneys. Nitrogenous wastes that are usually found in either ammonium, urea, or uric acid, they go from most toxic to lease toxic, but inversely they also go from least energy necessary to most energy necessary, most aquatic animals have ammonia, where mammals have urea and birds, insects and most reptiles have uric acid.”
Ahsoka continued “the kidney filters organs that eliminates wastes in all vertebrates, and in mammals the urinary system includes the kidneys ureters, urinary bladder, and urethra. We’re going to talk about filtration that occurs in the renal corpuscle, then reabsorption and secretion which occur in the renal tube. There’s a thing called a bowman's capsule, and it’s uh a little ball thing in the center of the sture, the tubule is organized into the proximal tubule, loop of henle and distal tubule. There’s some useful solutes that are reabsorbed from the filtrate, like Ca Na K, Cl, and HCO3 as well as nutrients like glucose, amino acids and vitamins. Aldosterone is a hormone produced by adrenal glands that regulates Na and K levels by stimulating Na reabsorption and K secretion. Antidiuretic Hormone ADH acts to increase the number of aquaporins which lets more water in.”
“That’s a lot of chemicals, that seems like a lot to remember for your exam Commander.” Jessie muttered.
“That’s alright, we’re onto the last section which is the easiest, and it’s population ecology.”
“What exactly is ecology again?” Jessie asked
“It’s the scientific study of interaction, well interactions between living organisms and living stuff and their environments. It goes in layers, individuals, then the population which is a group of individuals, and a community which is all the interacting populations of different species in a specific area. Populations have different grouping, Nabboean water wolves travel in packs, but mose forage alone. Their patterns affect the ability to count them which means we don’t always know how many individuals are in the area.”
“That seems like that's inconvenient.”
“Yea, it is, so scientists do a lot to try and figure it out, like the mark-recapture method, pitfall traps, mist nets and baited traps. Animals can learn to avoid traps or may be drawn to food bated traps which ruins the randomness of the trapping methods. Mark recapture involves a little math” all the troopers groaned you have to capture tag and release animals, then reset the traps and see how many recaptures you get, then you multiply the number of marked individuals by the number caught the second time and divide it by the amount of marked individuals caught. The mark recapture method relies on three methods, that those marked are random and still reenter the population to distribute themselves randomly, that the animals will not lose their marks, and that no one will be born or die or leave between rounds.”
“Those seem like some very strict assumptions, not all of them seem feasible” Kix muttered
“No, but we have to do our best, there’s no perfect way to do this, anyways there’s also demography which is the the study of figuring out birth, death and fertility rates.there’s also different types of growth, where the exponential growth just goes up for ages and the logistic growth goes up and then bounces around a line. One of the more confusing topics in this entire unit is the density dependent, density independent thing, where if something is density independent the population will be more affected when the population gets bigger, the reverse which is just inverse density dependent is a measurement of mortality  so if the mortality decreases its an inverse density dependent factor. And now we have species interactions, competition is -/- commensalism is -/0 mutualism is +/+ commensalism is +/0 and predation is +/-, I think we all know what a habitat is but does anyone wanna explain it?”
“It’s the place where animals live. Their ideal environment.” Echo chimed.
“Correct!” Ahsoka chimed “resource partitioning is when different species have different areas of resource use, interspecific competition can reduce the overlap of resource use. And that’s the last of it.”
“That’s it?” Kix asked
“Yeah, I’ve gotta study on my own now, wish me luck.” Ahsoka beamed.
“Good luck commander!” all three clones chimed.

I don't think its an issue limited to just adult reboots but reboots in general . Alot of them come across as profit driven works instead of a project done with a genuine love and respect for the source material and its fans.
The first example that comes to my mind is Amazon's Rings of Powers. They disrespected so much of tolkiens original work and even Peter Jacksons' trilogies, to the point where it doesn't feel like a tolkien work but a knock-off. They took extremely complex characters like galadriel and reduced them down to a mere shadow of themselves. In the books and even in both trilogies, galadriel is a power driven character, she doesn't stay in middle Earth to go on a quest to avenge a relative, she stays because she wants to rule over her own kingdom, that's why it's so significant in the fellowship of the ring when she refuses frodos offer to give her the one ring. The hobbit trilogy may not have been perfect but it certainly respected its fandom more than rop. Pj included little references that he knew the fans would appreciate, for example when elrond is riding into imladris in an unexpected journey you can see 3 other elves riding behind him not wearing helmets, one has golden hair the other two have black hair, signifying it is Glorfindel and elronds twin sons elladan and elrohir, which was great detail considering in the fellowship of the ring they just replaced Glorfindel with arwen. Another detail is the character lindir, who appeared in the lotr films but was unnamed, some of the fans however grew attached to this small side character and named him figwit.
I don't know whether you could class any of the post ot star wars media as a reboot, but I think most of dave filoni's animated series are a great example of a show that was made primarily for kids being more appealing to adults. The clone wars does an especially good job at this by humanising the clones and giving them more dimension, especially in the lead up to order 66. (I also believe that phantom menace was a great film and yall should stop hating on jar jar).
Another great example would jurassic worlds camp cretaceous and its recent sequel chaos theory. Both shows were aimed at kids and its very obvious in that they don't show any graphic deaths, but they have alot of elements that were missing from the adult focused jurassic world films (especially fallen kingdom). More grotesque and ugly looking hybrids than the i-rex and i-raptor, realistic portrayals of ptsd and mental health issues, complex issues like grief and relationships and greater good vs individual needs all make these shows appealing to the jp/jw fans as well as the kids.
Too many corporations are too focused on making profit off of peoples nostalgia that they lose any love or respect for the original work. It's why fanfiction and fanart and fanvids holds such a special place in many fans hearts and are more often than not better than most reboots/remakes/reimagings because they are made solely out of a love for the source material.
