Greetings and salutations, my beloved internet friends!

I am here to do something I don't think I've ever done before (something that quite honestly makes me very uncomfortable): asking for a little bit of financial assistance.

Due to some unforeseen and ill-timed expenses that coincided with some bills that could not be postponed, my budget this week is looking distressingly thin (to the point that I am anxious about being able to commute to and from work until my next pay day).

I commute mostly via a combination of public transit (nice and affordable) and Lyft/Uber (not always as affordable when one has to commute significant distances).

I should be fine when it comes to buying food and such, but I'm extremely stressed about not having enough to afford my Lyft rides (particularly those later on in the week, which are late at night). I truly hate to ask for anything like this, it makes me feel terrible... But any donations at all would be tremendously appreciated. My current goal is set to $50, because after brutally crunching the numbers I'm pretty sure that's all I should need to bridge the gap until I get paid again.
