I'd also add for some episode ideas- A snow day, Monkey Kings staff gets broken, if the other 2 Primates were here- all 4 would get their powers mixed up, and if not just switch Macaque and Wukong, Wukongs birthday, them traveling to the Underworld(great opportunity to see past Wukong enemies and maybe dead characters, for the spider gang fans), a day with Guanyin, a three-legged race but Yin and Jin took control and forced people who don't get along to team up, more about the Dragon Clans, Subhodi, thats it, and an episode where Macaque discovers his creator(s), also one with Nuwa and Wukong BECAUSE WE WERRE ROBBED

For style, everything's fine, for Back story- definitely more about Macaque and Wukongs history, because some things don't coincide with JTTW timeline, also their ages cause I'm still confused, like something said 1,000 apart but like how would macaque and wukong live together?? (That's a topic for another day). OH AND ALSO PIF DEPARTURE FROM THE CELESTIAL REALMS COME ON WE NEED THE TEA. And also Erlang and Wukongs relationship, because if the Jade Emperor ended the fight, did they ever face off?? (I hope)

Continue for Episode adding- I would like to see more episodes, but the pace is good for its show, better than Ninjago in former seasons where it felt repetitive and just more screentime. Lmk uses its screentime wisely and effectively, though sometimes it does feel rushed. I'd like more fun episodes where they just time together.

(don't worry this isn't like a serious post or anything. also its gonna be really badly written with grammar errors because I'm just really excited to finally be talking about this and I'm shaking like a leaf) (also, if you don't agree with this that is completely fine; everybody ships different ships, this is just one that I personally love and me explaining how it came to be and how I image it. I love rairpairs. Like, LOVE them. Anyone who's seen my old transformers art knows that I ship DreadOp which is like, a nonexistent ship. like, the ship equivalent of being an endangered species (there's like 10 fics about it on AO3, so you KNOW it's rare). There's a few examples of me being like this but this is the best example that i have.

But this has gotten to the point where i have done something absolutely ridiculous: I have created an entirely new ship- no, TWO entirely new ships (I'm only going to be focusing on one rn). AND I'VE GOTTA TALK ABOUT THEM because honestly? I love them! so, what monstrosity have I created? Whoo... prepare yourselves (especially you, dark cacao cookie fans...)

Yep. Don't hate me. Please hear me out because honestly iv'e seen more heinous ships in my time on the internet.

so, first of all, the white dude is known as the milk village elder in CRK, and we only see him once in the entire game (that i know of). I love taking npc's and giving them characters, so this is kinda how this happened. I'm gonna start by talking about the milk dude and how i headcannon/ imagine him because it will come into play later.

I gave the milk village elder the name Whole Milk Cookie, because i couldn't exactly call him Milk Cookie; that names already been taken

Whole Milk Cookie isn't actually anyone's grandfather, despite him being called grandad/ grandpappy in the actual game. We never see anyone his age in the milk village, and I like to imagine that its sorta like an honorary title. Like, he acts like everyone's grandpa, so everyone calls him grandpa but no one is actually related to him.

Whole Milk Cookie is like, ungodly sweet. Like, diabetes kind of sweet. its ridiculous. there are only a few ways to get him angry; and trust me, you don't want to...

He's strong. Like, think Hollyberry type strong. Gives the BEST hugs too.

Nobody knows exactly how old he is, but people suspect that he's actually much older than he looks. This could be caused by his extreme talent with the milk that comes from the villages well; if its used right, the milk can cure disease, help pains, or even extend someone's lifespan/ help retain youth. either that or he's some sort of demon but hey, who's counting?

got all that? good. Now the question everybody's asking; why the hell do i ship this? What's the story here? What's the origin? Well hold onto your pants folks because this is where we get into me overanalyzing shit.

behold the line that started it all:

This is so SO vague. why the hell did they put this in here it is SO VAUGE. what does he mean by "THAT king"? you know what it sounds like? someone reminiscing of their time with a loved one who has now changed....

they never elaborate on what exactly this line means and this is the very last line we hear Whole Milk Cookie say in the main story

wondering where exactly he's gone instead of wondering when he's coming back? idk man you sound worried about him...

also saying "laid your eyes upon" just sounds so gay/loving and i don't know why. yeah your laying something thats for sure glfbnvbrfnjkrb (im so sorry)

There's also this line:

The ally thing is kind of given, but why and how isn't this guy talking shit about dark Cacao? Like, he has EVERY right to! but he's not.... its almost like he cares.... and sure he mentions the generation thing but just because your parents were friends with some dude doesn't mean you necessarily like them right? so what gives??

Then there's the matter of Dark Cacao Cookies SON:

who is DArk CHOCOLATE

now Dark Chocolate usually doesn't have any milk/dairy in it, but it DOES need a fat, which whole milk DOES have!!

So, in theory, it would make sense for cacao and milk to make chocolate of some kind, AND it would account for Dark Choco Cookie having a lighter skin tone than his father (lighter eyes and the double white hair streak too)

I also like the story implications outside of cannon:

two people who would generally not be allowed to be in a relationship due to differing status keep a relationship going for years behind the backs of their communities

Dark Cacao Cookie taking full responsibility for taking care of their son, only for everything to become too overwhelming and he begins to remove himself from everything emotionally, wanting to give his son over to his other father to be properly taken care of but can't due to the dangers that poses for everyone in his family

Dark Choco nearly kills him and Dark Cacao has to exile him and (because of a mix of psychological manipulation, grief, and regret) locks up the citadel, leaving Whole Milk Cookie out of the picture entirely

Whole Milk Cookie stews in anger due to everything that's happened and Dark Cacao cookie not taking proper care of their son but eventually falls into guilt as well because he saw the signs of stress and overworking from his partner and didn't step in, assuming that everything was fine (but is still mostly mad at Cacao because he REALLY fucked up and it's not an excuse)

Gingerbrave and the crew comes strolling up and gets the citadel open, and Dark Cacao admits to Dark Choco that he didn't care enough and that he should have done things differently, and that he loves his son. Dark Choco leaves the cookies of darkness and begins a journey of recovery while Dark Cacao vows to do better for his family and kingdom in the future.

Dark Cacao meets up with Whole Milk Cookie to truly apologize to him, admitting everything he's done wrong and that he should have done far, FAR better. He tells WM that he deserves better than him

Whole Milk is obviously still angry and will never forgive Dark Cacao for what he's done. but he still loves him despite everything and would much rather the two of them work together to fix things (not necessarily romantically, more just not hating each other wise) moving forward instead of breaking things off and stewing in grief and anger.

The two of them take things extremely slow and carefully because it's been a long and difficult process, but they, eventually, get back to where they were.

Their recovery process takes years, but by that point Dark Cacao has improved himself exponentially, wanting nothing but the best for his partner and kingdom (and now knowing exactly what NOT to do) They also eventually find Dark Choco Cookie and fix things with him, but that's a whole other can of worms I'm not going to open here.

Just generally a story of two very different people, who despite goin through unimaginable hardships, do their very best despite the circumstances. they love each other more than even they realize and the fact that they are able to fix what was broken by their own hands is a testament to that, despite all of the arguments and tears along the way.

TLDR: Dark Cacao fucks up, his husband is mad but still loves him because he knows him better than anyone else, Dark Cacao actually makes an effort and succeeds to be much much better, and the two of them eventually figure things out. An unlikely love story :)

Ok, wow, that was a lot and kinda sad. But there are a few thiings that i couldn't fit into the rest of this so imma just stick them here:

Whole Milk Cookie finds Immense joy in picking up his husband and throwing him across his shoulder like some kind of really important sack

Whole Milk calls Dark Cacao "Cacao bean"

the two of them will often help each other do their hair because they both just have SO MUCH of it

Dark Cacao, despite popular belief, is a flustered mess around his husband and can very often be found blushing like a madman whenever Whole Milk uses his strength

these two have the ABSOLOUTE WORST bedheads. Like, Cacao HAS to braid his hair before going to bed because otherwise the two of them will wake up tangled in it. And Whole Milk will just have an untamable afro.

- water is like alcohol to him/other xylitols. it makes him drunk GXHNFKFJ they dont need to drink water to survive but they do have it as a Fun drink sometimes which is why astronaut was still able to stay hydrated (they were very confused when she drank tons of water and was Just fine)

- xylitols also require light to live!!!!! when in darkness they have a faint glow (think glow in the dark toys. not very bright but still There) :] when they are without light for too long they become very sick, weak and drowsy and lose their glow. this is why planet xylitol is so brightly lit!! they NEVER have their lamps off so its always super bright (yes astronaut struggled to sleep)

- relating to above, xylitol nova glows just a little bit brighter than other xylitols + features like his eyes, wings, and the lines on his face glow!!

- also relating to above he is NOT used to being in the dark so when he went to earthbread and experienced an actual day/night cycle he was TERRIFIED he could not see anything </3 peepaw is like a moth if its dark and theres a little bit of light he will cling to it

i am in a pretty major slump but also fixated on fallout rn im trying to get a good ttw mod list set up and being very like deliberate about it lol also the health stuff is stressful and that plus work plus money plus upcoming travel plus all the other shit stressing me out plus short overcast days and im feeling depressed and so out of it

we all joke about how awful the fandom is but no one is actually making an effort to do anything about it

i think one thing i've noticed that baffles me is how much american individualism and bootstraps culture infects this fandom despite it being so wide reaching across the world. the elitism and lack of accessibility and "fuck you i got mine"

all of that on top of the typical redditor personalities, 4chan pretentiousness, weaponization of social justice concepts, and crab in a bucket-ing

i could write an entire masters thesis dissecting this fandom and what a prime example of how the nature of the internet, the speed of it, the nature of social media, and other computer mediated communication factors can turn people into their worst and best selves. can make people live out fantasies not of identity but of power.

thats what it is. the fandom isnt for fun and its not about exploring identity its about exploring power and influence and how much you can push the envelope, how much you can push people.

weenie hut juniors that would scurry away from me if i so much as looked in their direction irl have to find meaning, fulfillment, and agency by being bullies, by feeling powerful and influential because they can garner love and adoration they dont get in their home life.

its easy to be an asshole online because it feels safe because the screen doesnt force you to confront with the reality. you cant see the other person, you dont often hear their voice, there is no connection to them being a real person. so its easy to explore your most authoritarian and morally bereft impulses and personality traits.

its harder, but more fulfilling to not succumb to that.

the internet is a great tool to explore identity. sherry turkel identified it as such in her early works where she discusses how people used multi-user dungeons to explore their gender and sexuality via roleplaying. you can research and find new subcultures, connect with people so different from you all across the world, you can gain perspective and worldliness by opening up to listening to new experiences, to trying new things, connecting with others.

the existence of the internet is neutral. it is a tool like anything else. its how someone uses it that makes it good or evil.

and how a lot of fucking people in this fandom use the internet makes me think we should breed sharks with strong enough teeth to chew through the undersea cables

This is Lynx’s most popular album, Conspiracy Theories. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a pic of lynx as the cover even if it’s silly. I really like rabbit imagery in music anyways though so I think it’s nice. I was inspired by Alice In Chains album covers and also fleshwater’s ‘we’re not here to be loved’. I tried to find a way to make it more 'gritty' but I couldn’t unfortunately 😭 I like how the title looks, like they just got a label maker and smacked it on..heheh

I imagine that this album is about relationship anxiety, betrayal, resentment, anti social tendencies, infidelity, and aliens. Probably not little green men, maybe more like the thing kind of fleshy imagery. Definitely appealing to atlas and scotch in different ways. Tool’s Undertow is a good example (off the top of my head..) of the sound I’m thinking of, so… prog? Or at least heavily inspired. I’m bad with genres heheh

im currently trying to either become okay with roadkill's name, or decide on a new one.. so im not making any album covers for them yet lol but i will post when i do..

I think roadkill would take a lot of inspo from their fave band so their style is probably heavily influenced by Lynx. Scotch adds a lot of sampling, distortion, whatever..idk I don’t make music.. and atlas is a big fan of slow tempo and bass. think its important to note that atlas doesnt play bass like a bassist in this album, he plays it more like a guitarist. kind of. hope that makes sense. I’ve always been really torn about roadkill’s genre, it’s been everywhere and tends to change. scotch and atlas’ styles would be vastly different if they were solo, so I think that’s why i am so indecisive . I think I just have to keep reminding myself that they’re in a band together, so styles would be mixed.

A part of me is like.. I think roadkill’s first album would be reminiscent of faith no more’s ‘the real thing’, or even some of Primus' stuff in some sense, plus similarities to Lynx and influences of industrial. i know thats a lot of random descriptions. I kinda think of (here’s a goofy genre for ya) sludge metal bands’ instrumental style, not necessarily vocal style... its hard to describe a band that doesnt exist. LMFAO

right now im thinking about 'the pot' by tool as a close example of roadkill.. im having a hard time finding artists that match scotch's vocal range even remotely. also doesnt help that the bands im basing this off of like tool and FNM dont exactly...fit into genres very neatly. roadkill and lynx wouldnt either. HAH. i just know it wouldnt be that high quality but definitely obvious theres a lot of passion in it. i mean this is just an album made by guys who dontknow what theyre doing. like at all. lol

Roadkill’s sound changes quite a bit their next album when seraph is involved. It becomes a lot more ummmm I guess palatable to more people? I don’t exactly know what I mean by that. Ok. LOL. I’ll think about it.. but this is around when Scotch realizes he wants this to be his job. Having Seraph helps A LOT with building a more dedicated and bigger audience, since they’re the one most willing to make changes. Plus they’re in art school, I feel like they’d have connections. So I guess roadkill would sell out in a way.

if you asked me this question a year ago i would have had a completely different answer. i wouldve probably said roadkill is pop punk or garage rock or something. i have trouble fitting scotch and atlas into a genre together. it fits scotch just fine and i think he would enjoy it, but its not roadkill.. also ive been thinking of stylizing roadkill as rdkill.. lmk wat u think.. im unsure about the name is generalHAHA. i know this is a lot so dont feel pressured to reply to everything LMAO im just thinking out loud. and drawing connections between genres that completely do not make sense. peace and LOVE<3

dream starts out with me rescuing a tortie kitten that was being treated terribly by it's owners, and then running home to a building that has a very vague c shape in through our door and putting it down on the couch and giving it water and food.

then we run in to the family somewhere near because something is being held near the building we (mom and i) live in and the family is trying to get their kid as high as possible gliding to win a competition, and while they're doing that my mom has a conversation with them (vague "do you know how bad you treat your cats?" "no, we treat them just fine" "well if you do that then where are they" and the kids mom just shrugs).

so we make sure they don't see that we're playing with their kitten outside and put it on their car (it was red and lowkey kinda minecraft blocks with a star sticker on the back window) and for the fun of it my mom and i decide to join the competition and we win just to be petty to the family thats mistreating their cats that we saved and tell them we rescued their cats from them because of how close the kitten was to dying and they get pissed at us so we lock our doors when we get inside and they keep harassing us for a week or two until it stops - and then there's also a blue-green cat that we rescue (he had a name but i cant remember it)

then theres apparently a timeskip .. probably a few months, a year or a few. i'm not sure, either that or some reality warp so.

suddenly this building is a school and the room i'm in is pitch black, with two blocked off exits that are those spinny things in stores (DO YOU MEAN THE FUCKING FAN? /ref) and blocked off windows (with fabric and a rather thin concrete wall). the people in the room with me (and myself) are some sorts of - not even humanoid, just Something that's a shapeshifting half transparent, galaxy star stuff sort of creature.

suddenly something tears through the fabric. it's a group of three or four highschool girls - one was blonde with brown eyes, another was brown haired with blue or green eyes, the other two im not sure, but they were wearing a light brown, sort of chocolate color school uniform with white shirts.

they're laughing and having fun because they're breaking into some area they were told not to by school administration because the group i'm in is being isolated there but nobody knows about it other than the administration. so we try our best to patch up what that group of stupid fucks is doing but they keep doing it, day after day, harassing us. until one day where a guy, who's chosen the form of a chimera-y werewolf accidentally reveals his arm and they run off screaming because for them its just some weird ass wolf-shaped alien looking galaxy star stuff goop arm.

we quickly patch up what they're broken. a few weeks or a month passes and a young boy gets thrown in, in some agony and pain because one of the administrators tried to stop the 'transformation' by placing a gem in the palm of his hand where it was starting from, but it didn't help so they just threw him in so the rest of the school wouldn't see him. i'm doing my best to help him get rid of the gem and stay calm.

i explain to him what's happened ("if you choose and want to, you're gonna turn into either a partial or full shapeshifting creature made of some sort of star stuff goop thing, i think, but currently because of that gem it's halted and very painful for you") and he tells me that he does want it, he's always wanted to have the ability to change into something else other than what he is because he doesn't feel like a human.

so i encourage him to think clearly, be calm and have an image of what he wants his form to be (honestly mine was just a weirdass amalgamation of Something so what else can i say) and he turns into a werewolf-y sorta creature with pretty cool glittering fur and some galaxy goop feathered wings.

and it just abruptly ends there!

my final opinion on Fashion Dreamer as a devoted fan of style savvy

so as my initial deep disappointment started wearing off, i realised that it was unfair of me to immediately compare Fashion Dreamer to the style savvy series so harshly because they are simply not the same! Fashion Dreamer IS co developed by synsophia and it IS a game that revolves around fashion, but otherwise, they’re two completely different games.

you dont have a boutique to run, you dont have any customers to assist, you cant make connections with people and gradually make a name for yourself, you cant improve the community in the setting you live in etc etc. your just an influencer doing vague fashion related tasks and irl “influencer” would do.

tl;dr once i separated the two and started to see Fashion Dreamer as its own game instead a style savvy without any charm i started to really enjoy it for what it is

there’s no real tangible story here at all, only faint goals to achieve very early game and then thats it, and its obvious that they were never going for that in the first place because this isn't style savvy! its a completely new game that only has SynSophia working on in collaboration with another company. im sure if nintendo didn't decline SynSophia's request for another style savvy game on the switch this im sure this conversation would not exist but unfortunately, they did, and now we only have Fashion Dreamer, which serves as a descendant of a successor to the style savvy games.

now that i've managed to separate Fashion Dreamer and style savvy as two completely different games i want to talk about what i actually /like/ about Fashion Dreamer. i was super super disappointed my first time playing not only because i immediately held it to exact same standards as a style savvy game, but also because by itself it felt quite unfinished.

with my very first time playing i felt like after 2 hours or so i had already seen all the game had to offer. and while i wasn’t wrong and the gameplay just had to grow on me, still i wasn’t all that motivated with the goals you had to complete or the rewards it gave you. it also doesn’t help that there isn’t anything all that challenging about creating lookits for other muses, or any way to fail them.

yes, you have to create lookits to get epoints to make more clothes for your brand and level up so you can unlock even more clothes for your brand but ah, that part isnt really all that impressing. its just fine

i can appreciate all the effort that went into the clothes making process though, that’s definitely the most impressive part of this game. i’d say its the most impressive thing out of all the fashion games ive ever played. i have soo much fun making my own clothes! as an artist i feel like my creativity has no limits and i can literally make whatever i want, however i imagine it. for me, this one amazing feature alone is enough to carry the rest of the games mediocrity.

once i have an idea for a piece of clothing i think would look nice, i can just take out FD and create what i thought of immediately. even though i forgot about it for so long, for a brief period as an adolescent i really really wanted to be fashion designer and this feature reminded me of my silly wish and made me love it all the more

i also like the photo egg stuff, the poses are all super cute and i like the expressions the muses make. im very glad that they put in a scrapbook feature that allows you to save specific ensembles (that and no way to filter clothes by color were probably my biggest complaint) i already have a bunch of outfits saved in my notebooks that i absolutely adore. i do wish they were prettier backgrounds for notebooks though

and the event stuff.. is just fine. it's not the worst thing in the world, i enjoy creating outfits for character or player muses out of all but it also isnt that fun. a little grindy and annoying, but just fine. if this game had a story or plotline to follow i think i would be able to enjoy it alot more maybe? running around cocoons doing vague influencer-like tasks just isnt all that engaging for me.

the last thing i'd like to say about FD is that i actually do get happy when ppl like my stuff. like wow, they actually like my product! it does make me kinda feel like i do have a semi successful brand that people are paying attention to. ofc most of my reasons for designing clothes is because i was inspired too, but getting those fake like notifications make me want to display them just in case others would like them too.

in conclusion, all of this to say what exactly?? i enjoy Fashion Dreamer now! i like it quite a lot, i find it enjoyable and satisfying, and it scratches those fashion related itches ive been having but didn't know how to make them go away. i really love being able to create clothes exactly how i imagine them, and i enjoy being able to dress my oc's up so prettily and accurately. i also really enjoy the overall art direction of this game, the backgrounds really caught my eye and they all stand out individually in my mind.

im not 100% sure but i think FD is popular in japan? which makes me happy because i know overseas and english speaking fans of style savvy really dislike this game, especially upon initial release. i was one of them but now i can say i dont hate this game at all anymore. once i stopped comparing everything to style savvy, for what it is, is just fine. the reason why i made this long ass post in the first place was because FD already gets SOO much hate online from everyone, and i think its a little unwarranted. if this me talking about everything i dislike about FD this post would probably be much longer lmao, but i didnt want to add to all the flack it gets. if you stopped playing after a few hours like i did i'd say its definitely worth a second chance! just see it for what it is and you'll have a much better time

i really liked genloss, but i just dont get what ranboo was doing with the advertising and the hyping up of it. they would keep going back and forth on things they said, like one time he said "idc if it only gets 3 veiwers, ill have had fun with it" but then turned round to say "im playing the main character so that more people will watch it and get more people invested". i dont get it??? like which one????

also they said "im not cutting any corners with this project, this is going to be something that if i were to stop everything right after, id be happy" then didnt take any acting classes, didnt script like 80% of the show then went and said "i promise to make the future gens much better with the things ive learnt from gen 1 :)". ?????? so was it a test or was it his passion project. they acknowledged that their acting was bad...so why not hire a good actor if he didnt care about views??

i honestly think that the marketing team was just ranboo in a room going "yeah sure ill post this why not" and no one checking if it was a good move or not lmao. it honestly feels like two different projects that had nothing to do with wach other. its like ranboo didnt know the genloss yt channel existed and accidentally chose the same name or something.

we didnt know anything about the plot of genloss up to like a week before the show, and as someone who has been very invested in genloss since the start up until the show, the little teasers on the genloss yt channel were just...nothing. it was like ranboo expected us to just go "woah vintage tv :O cassete tapes :O" (and thats exactly what happened lmaoo).

ranboo said in a stream that "id rather give u guys 30 seconds of content than drag it out for 15 minutes" or smthn like that but like. how do u call a vintage tv displaying Analog-Horror-Phrase-52(TM) content? it didnt say anything about the plot. and the "plot" we got was fucking lightyears away from the teasers.

ranboo just lied for like 2 years, and i know ideas can change but it was marketed in the same way all the way up to like a week before the show so thats lovely i love being lied to :)

ranboo had a stream called like "talking about genloss/horror project" or something where it was just like an hour of them going "ITS GONNA BE SO COOOLLL!!!! GET EXCITED!!!!!!" which is kinda funny in hindsight lmao

in conlusion tho, the teasers were lies and felt very stream of consciousness and not very well thought out, and also ranboo lied to get people excited and it annoyed the shit out of me.

sorry to be all "ranboo said this ranboo said that" ive been a fan for about a year and a half now and have had these little bits of info stored in my brain for a while

no one could convince me they had any sort of meaningful marketing team. there was for sure a bunch of dissonance from what we saw to what this gen was. i think it'd be fine if it was at least a bit more related to what we got. idk im giving you a thumbs up in my brain
