The hideout. Only now I noticed that Goro tried to make this place look/feel like "home".
And I think it would be great to be able to use it as a safe place after Search and destroy - depending on your choice regarding Takemura. Because why not.
*Apparently after the Search and Destroy mission, when you travel back by car you can't enter the appartment, it is sealed (with kind of blurry dorrs in my case) but when you take the fast travel option, you can go in.

the way that one line from the new epilogue in an astarion romance is going to HAUNT me

just. what a profoundly intense thing to confess to someone.
like, just these six months of newfound happiness with you exerts a force on his heart equal and in direct opposition to two centuries of endless torment, the gnawing hunger and exploitation. this flashbulb-bright fraction of his long life holds the same gravity to him as years upon years of darkness and suffering.
in all likelihood, he hasn’t even known his lover for as long as his worst memory lasted, that year sealed away to go mad from starvation and sensory deprivation, yet he still tells them this brief time has been so fundamentally and powerfully important that the weight of even that unimaginable hell is vanishingly small compared to this present he has now and the future ahead of them both.
how am i supposed to act normal about this.

an invitation
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world? To me, these lines are taken from the best love song ever written. It’s an invitation to a special someone to slow down. Seize the moment. Live the moment. You’ve heard it before. So have I. Yet, I have a hard time accepting this invitation. There is a voice inside my head shouting at me like a drill sergeant: Don’t waste time! Don’t do something useless! Don’t be useless! You can always do more. You can always do better. You can always be better. If you don’t become better, you failed! There is no time for slowing down, for breaks, or tranquility. Does some of that sound familiar? I think our society has quite an unhealthy obsession with performance and optimization. Picture this: You arrive in the office after a stressful weekend. Some sadistic supervisor had put the project deadline on a Sunday. The coffee is empty. The heater is broken. At around 10 you realize that none of your colleagues will join you that day. First, you regret the decision of leaving your house at all. Second, you know nothing productive, nothing good will happen that day. But there is this voice. Nagging you. Judging you. Clinging to your consciousness like a parasite. You should work. Maybe you just can’t motivate yourself. Maybe you have trouble at home with friends or family. Maybe it’s just this damn Monday. For whatever reason, you feel miserable. But this voice, compelling you to work, it is not your friend. It judges you. Another day; another time. You feel lovesick. If you are familiar with that feeling, you are painfully aware of just how awful that feels. You lost the love of your life. And with it, you lost all joy in yours. You will never find someone like them again. Or maybe you don’t want to find someone like them again. Maybe that’s the whole point. But then again, shouldn’t you be past that stage, shouldn’t you be over them already? Instead, you are sitting here grieving, while wishing you were not and judging yourself for doing it, anyways. But what if your judgment is wrong? What if this period of grief gives you the motivation to change? What if you only realize that later ’cause right now: you just cannot know. Every once in a while, it is okay to be utterly and completely useless. Get some distance to what is bothering you. Let go of the judgments that are stressing you out. Slow down. Instead, accept how you feel even if that means admitting to yourself that you currently do feel miserable. Take your time. Give yourself time. Slow down. Every once in a while, everybody needs this invitation. Invite yourself, invite your friends, invite whoever needs it: Let’s waste time. Chasing Cars. Around our heads.

I love playing Price in the Ghillie suit because even in the middle of a cement floor, enemies just don't see me. Why is there a bush in the middle of this house? Who cares, they just walk past me.
