okay so i wasnt able to stop myself from immediately discussing ep 4 here and ep 5 here and here because the festival is my favorite part of the show.

but ill now be starting from the beginning because i love this show and wanna discuss my personal favorite moments from the episodes!! im not much of an analyzer but i may say a few things here and there...

where do i begin?! skipping past the first part where we're introduced to miaomiao and the her being struck by lightning and all (which was hilarious) let's get into how CUTE she was waving hi to fuyi!!! i fell in love with her smile asap (as someone who never saw esther yu before.)

what's extra hilarious is the cheering scene, and ill bring this point up again later, but the way she GOES for it, arms linked and all... oh, shes a drinker. in the real world, shes definitely able to outdrink someone.

and i just wanna say they made yao look SO cool on her entry!!! i love her weapon, shes so sick. what a scene!

the fight scene is neither here nor there for me, except for the fact that i felt like the glass pieces kept getting further away and then closer when required, LOL. the continuity was not there. love how ziqi comes in like goku, and never does it again in the series (i dont think?) amazing work. but he looks so hot stalking up to the mirror demon, uncaring about her threats. how'd they get out? what happened to them after that big fire blast? who knows. theyre fine. but heres the first shot of our ziqi being overprotective of yao!! goooood the sister dependency is such a character flaw for you my baby.

rolling his eyes at fuyi being so righteous, and then... dont touch my a'jie. the way his hair is blowing in this scene is phenomenal. credit to the fan making him even more gorgeous while all he's doing is staring at his sister. (ding yuxi has no bad angles and a handsome face coupled with amazing acting skills and weirdly great at intense staring.)

but really appreciate the way we have scenes of how the novel went, seeing esther portray the serious and selfish lin yu is a nice look and so different from how miaomiao is. i didnt read the novel, not that i imagine the drama would follow the same plot, but i wonder how long the demon catchers had been with her for ziqi to see lin yu the way he does.

and, i love how miaomiao visibly shakes after remembering the way the marriage goes between lin yu and mu sheng in the book. girl, id be feeling just as shaken up.

can i just say fuyi looks absolutely gorgeous here... literally handsome. breathtaking. i love the little detail with the cloth? streamers? folded over in his hair.

"but i'm not :(((((" hes such a baby! yao scolding him is too funny. he obviously wants her attention, still so used to being treated as her precious little brother, but she draws her lines when he starts throwing tantrums. im not including it, but the line where he's dissing fuyi and goes as far as to say, "he even found a woman to marry" as if it wasn't for the purpose of capturing the demon!!! oh ziqi logic fails you when youre angry.

god, this is so funny. you can tell how shes like in the real world. total fangirl and shipper, its beautiful. shes really one of us. also, youre not the supporting lead actress anymore! this is officially your novel, you just dont realize it yet.

i’m aware that gwen didn’t tell miles about his dad because she genuinely thought it’d cause mass destruction if he saved jeff. thing is, even if miles knew that, i think he’d still feel betrayed. that’s 100% valid because this is his dad we’re talking about. he just lost his uncle not too long ago, too. i wouldn’t blame miles if he never wanted anything to do with gwen again. i wouldn’t blame bro if he got sick to his stomach every time he saw her. it’d be justified, bc if he never followed her that night, then he wouldn’t have had the chance to save jeff.

my point is that you can be a “good person” and still fuck up bad enough to make someone never wna speak to you again. miles is a sweetheart so he’ll probably forgive gwen. my thing is, miles forgiving gwen doesn’t mean the two of them are obligated to be friends again. they can handle it maturely, go their separate ways, nd never speak again. it’s really not even gna hurt y’all cuz it’s the last mf movie anyway??? 😭😭

if it isn’t clear by now, i don’t want miles and gwen together at all. they have no business being around each other frl 🙃 not as friends and definitely not as lovers. like, sure, that one scene where they’re swinging/talking on the bank was my absolute fav. it was cute. i shipped them before i really thought about it. that scene is still my fav, but my adoration for it isn’t gna stop me from keeping it real.

i really don’t care what anyone says or how in love they think these two are, this isn’t a “forgive and forget” situation. if the writers truly wanted gwen and miles to be involved romantically, then not only should they have structured their dynamic better, they shouldn’t have made gwen the person she was in this movie. love, love, LOVE redemption arcs because it’s a reminder that we're human and we're flawed, but you can’t redeem yourself from that. sorry. (not) i say miles should leave that girl alone 🤷‍♀️ leave all potential girls alone ffs.

in conclusion, it’s okay for miles to be single. he's 15 anyway, it's not like he'll die without a girl. i’m the suckiest sucker for anything to do with romance, but characters in film/animation don’t need to have love interests for a project to be considered good. if you feel like it does, then maybe ts you’re watching just sucks, lmao. a girl and a boy can be friends without one having feelings for the other, or both of 'em having mutual feelings. (in the media idk ab irl..) it’s time to stop forcing ts. please.

and it’s okay y’all, i promise you. it’s okay if miles and gwen don’t end up dating. it's okay if they reconcile and stay friends. it’s okay if they reconcile and don’t stay friends. though unlikely, it’s also okay if miles doesn’t forgive gwen at all! resolutions like these go to show that you can “forgive” someone without letting them have access to you anymore. that’s what miles needs to do. straying away from the “happy ending” everyone is expecting would be nice. it’d be a different approach and a realistic way to complete the franchise. (i’m not just saying this bc i love angst)

but before the gwiles (ugly ass ship name btw) fans start throwing up and telling me to end my shit, it’s 99% unlikely that anything i just stated will actually happen. we’re more than likely getting a kiss between miles and gwen, nd that’s bc the writers are probably high off the same dope they were on when they wrote gwen sneaking in thru miles’ window, j for his parents to be way more calm about it than any other normal parent would be. i could say some more about certain scenes but that's for another night.

The fastest way to become my mutual is take it very, very slow, lol. I met @xxlea-nardoxx after reblogging some of her Silver art, and we slowly began talking in the comments and reactions before moving to our DMs, but iirc that took multiple months. And for you, you began leaving comments on my Ao3 stories for a while before moving on to Tumblr (I don't recall if we exchanged Tumblr usernames or something, though. But your comments were a great help in getting through New Beginnings! <3). Overall, I vibe best with people who like/reblog some of my posts here and send in asks with me sending asks back at times: it gives me some time to see who I am talking to and what our stances are on things.

I'm so glad I am no longer so ill, haha. I legitimately couldn't do shit except lay on the couch, have a fever, and be unable to eat. Plus, it really sucked that it took so long (well over three weeks): I began feeling just a bit desperate with every time I thought I had improved, only for the illness to come right back again a day later. And I'm still easily winded with zero stamina... Running around like BotW!Link with a constantly-empty stamina wheel here, while having no idea when that will finally be fixed...

I want to use that uncertainty as a guiding line in Stories. I named the fic All The Stories That Will Be Written because we don't know how our stories and those of the world will go: none of us can predict the future. I know we can't, but I hate it. It makes an interesting contrast with Silver who is from the future and who has a very unique story that formed his life there, but who is also shackled by uncertainties and worries and acts out heavily because of those. Yesterday I was going through the bits I have already written... and I found I'm entirely stuck eight chapters in, lmao. There's events that I know have to happen: Espio will have to convince Silver to stay in the past for longer, Espio will have to try and find evidence that proves Silver's innocence, Silver will have to undergo some development that shows why he is so intense about everything all the time, and I also want him to discover what Espio is up to (I also have an idea of what will happen after that, but that is something I don't want to spoil yet :>). It just needs to be written, aka the number 1 enemy of all writers XD With having been so ill, my whole writing system is entirely out of whack. I gotta sit down and brainstorm the next handful of upcoming chapters and see what I can make of it!

First, I reblogged a post a while ago and talked about Humoral Theory, which is integral to the idea behind your first question. Alas Tumblr seems to have eaten it so I can’t post a link.

Haemolacria

(1) There are exactly two medical conditions that cause haemolacria; Haemophilia and Porphyria. Coincidentally, those are the two conditions most often associated with an excess of Red Blood, and Porphyria in particular was quite well known in Medieval Europe going back as far as Ancient Greece. Europeans often didn’t have a particular name for it, per se, though it was called porphyria because of the Greek name meaning, quite literally, “Purple madness”. Why was it called this? Because the characteristic symptom is purple colored urine, and porphyria more so than anything was responsible for the “madness and hysteria” that could be associated with having too much Red Blood as a humor.

It was well known in later centuries because quite a few kings and nobility in England and France especially carried the genes for Porphyria and occasionally it expressed itself. King George III, the “mad king” of England in the late 1700s, is often thought to of had Porphyria.

Haemophilia was much rarer in the medieval era, simply as a consequence of the way people lived and natural selection being considerably more involved. But if it did happen, it was usually very unfortunate, because the main way to treat an excess of Red Blood was…to bleed you.

Sooooo porphyria would be a much more likely cause. But honestly bleeding from the eyes would be among the least notable things about it - porphyria very often causes severe neurological syndromes and for some bizarre reason causes extreme aggression in many patients.

For this reason, it was too often the fate of anyone exhibiting those symptoms to be dragged away, tied up, and basically left to die. If porphyria was not determined to be the cause of the madness - though bleeding from the eyes would definitely have suggested that - or if they were particularly important people, they might be assigned a kind of languid caretaker. But for most people suffering such an affliction, they’d be presumed infectious and ousted. People knew very well that contact with other people’s blood could make you sick, especially after the Black Plague in the 1350’s. So someone bleeding from someplace they shouldn’t and having no signs of injury? Even if they were acting fine, most would assume them gravely ill and - if you’ll excuse the pun - avoid them like the plague.

Bear in mind for a moment, here, that physicians back then were usually either Men of the Cloth, whom actually typically took an oath not to abandon the sick, and in some cases would do what they could to help and house them, and…executioners. Yep, guy who cut off yer dads head was also your surgeon, more often than not your barber, and also might of been a torturer or alchemist (pharmacist) on the side.

However, while these are two very different kinds of men, regarded in quite opposite ways by society, the fact was that they both existed because one was better than the other at certain things and worse at others. Executioners and torturers knew human anatomy better, courtesy the Church’s dumb rule about not desecrating the dead - which meant no one, or at least no one pious, was allowed to do necropsy or autopsy or anatomical examinations. Unless of course you cut people up for a living; the church already scorns you, so why not? Let’s get in there and see what’s what (plus executioners often sold human body parts to alchemists if they weren’t one themselves - there’s a whole class of medicine derived from human remains that was popular in the late medieval period to early renaissance).

So, executioners were objectively better surgeons and because they had a steady hand they often would barber too. But they also generally understood how to treat eye, teeth, and sinus problems much better than the average clergy, since those were delicate areas requiring a steadier hand, just like with barbering; pretty much anything that required a steady hand and unflinching resolve was left up to the local torturer or executioners to do. Sometimes if they got lucky they’d just become barbers working for a wealthy family, but they were still surgeons and doctors too.

Clergy meanwhile had cumulative knowledge and history to a greater degree, and understood that conditions like that run in families…which wasn’t always good for the family, as the Church might very well decide they should stop having progeny. But that was very rare; more often than not a child or person with porphyria, if they weren’t already insane, would be adopted into a monastery, where they could be tended to and cared for for the rest of their life. Sometimes that care could be crude and cruel, particularly if they were mad or violent, but it was not an intentional cruelty, per se, so much as a form of self defense. If the crazy man muttering to himself while bleeding out his eyes and nose will viciously attack you when you try to feed him, you’re not going to want to feed him for very long.

Now onto the fun one: Albinos.

(2) the overwhelming attitude was, Frankly: they were defective. And more often than not left out in the woods somewhere to die of exposure.

Part of it stemmed from a fear of them being some being - what depends entirely on where and when, though they run the gauntlet from changeling to ghost to demon - part of it was that albinos just don’t survive that often, even with modern medicine. The genes that code for pigment production are very close to the ones that code for some important proteins in the liver, blood and intestine. Sometimes when the pigment alleles disappear, so do the ones that code for those proteins, and the baby will starve to death or fail to thrive no matter what you do. Modern medicine can sorta work around it, but ultimately not many albino humans survive past the age of three even today. Back then? No sense trying.

However, very leucistic (aka Hypomelanism) and piebald people did happen sometimes. Edward the Confessor of England was highly leucistic to the point it was a major part of his character; we know he wasn’t albino because he had blue (a very pale blue) eyes, which require the presence of melanin, but he is among the only people on earth to have ever had naturally platinum blonde hair.

Technically strawberry redheads with pale skin and very light colored or “silver” eyes are also likely to be leucistic, and while rare, are the more common expression of the Alleles.

Piebaldism has nothing at all to do with either, being fundamentally a developmental disorder where certain cells just aren’t formed in parts of the skin. 99.9% of the time this disorder is fatal to a fetus in utero. But very rarely it manifests in a more or less harmless way - oddly, the most common form of it in humans is a single white forelock.

Then there’s Vitiligo - looks like piebaldism but genetically is not. Vitiligo happens when melanin in the skin randomly just doesn’t appear; the melanocytes are there, but they’re broken. A few things can cause it, but it’s mostly harmless.

Well unless you live in the Middle Ages.

A white forelock might not be regarded as much by some, but it was an indication of disease or spiritual uncleanliness for others, particularly in women. Similarly other kinds of birth marks or odd coloring might have been interpreted as a consequence of sin - either that the mother had sinned and cursed the child, or the child was conceived in sin. The mother could be punished or killed over this, so often the child was killed discreetly and claimed to be stillborn for the sake of protecting herself and her husband’s reputation, if she had one.

Now as to (3):

Women dueling.

Well…didn’t happen, in the strictest sense. Not in the Medieval period. Duels were a thing between knights, and sometimes men at arms. The prevailing belief was that if two fighting men who were otherwise trained to kill each other could not settle their differences, let them duke it out and to the victor go the spoils. It was a crude but popular logic in this long time period.

Women were not only expected to be more demure, but were pretty strictly forbidden from violence of any kind. If they had beef with another woman, they got creative about it. If they had beef with a man, they’d implore their husband or father to act as an intermediary.

Not to say shit didn’t happen; Elizabeth and Mary Tudor famously beat the crap out of each other once as children, and Anne (Boleyn) and her sister Mary also got into a physical confrontation on record. But generally it was not seen as particularly feminine to be so brutish, and could get you in a lot of trouble, even get you flogged (whipped or beat with a cane).

In later centuries, especially the 1800s and early 1900s, when dueling became more ritualized there were a few instances of women dueling, but alas I can’t say I know much on the subject.

Trans people in the Middle Ages:

First you have to understand that back then, “deviances” were NOT seen as an integral part of the person who did them, it was just a behavioral problem.

What does that mean? As an example, It means that there was no such thing as “a gay man”, just “a man who behaviorally screws other men”. It was not a thing you were, it was a thing you did. That’s an important thing to keep in mind. There were terms thrown around, I.e “Sodomite”, but those still weren’t exactly descriptive of the person they were assigned to in the same way “gay” is today. (Never mind that Sodomy was literally anything non procreative in nature). This applies just as well to the idea of Trans people too. It’s not that they didn’t exist, but the concept of them did not strictly exist, so records are really speculative at best.

Second, a transgender woman that passed well, like today, would have gone on fine. They could be conservative and stick close to the Thespians (more on them in a second) just in case they needed a fallout, but for the most part they’d live life fine, so long as they didn’t bed anyone that was not aware of (and very understanding about) their issue. And of course assuming they tried to dress the part after leaving home.

If one did not pass well, but still dreamed, then joining the thespian’s (actors and theatre folk) was the best hope you could afford. It was by no means guaranteed to be a good time for you; yes there were very commonly other trans people there, courtesy the fact women were forbidden from acting, but thespian “cults” were not called so for no reason. Think of circus cults and you can get an idea.

Rarely, they might be able to join the Church, and become a monk, which was something a LOT of queer men did in the hopes it would reform them. (It did not - quite a lot of gay sex happened in monasteries). But even if they did, there was a risk of being found out, and at best admonished for thinking that they should be anything but how god made them, much less a weak woman. At worst someone might take advantage of them, since they want to be a woman and all. (That likely happened in the thespian cults too)

As for trans men, there’s not a lot of information about them in a medieval context. Likely if they found a mercenary company or band to blend into, they might strike it lucky; but better still would be for them to be a torturer or maybe a barber/surgeon. There’s no hormones back then so they’d be very unlikely to be an executioner, which requires some heft. That job, however, would decidedly deter anyone asking crude questions, and would keep all but the most odd ducks well outside the prospective mate pool, so that would be less of an issue.

But if they were discovered by the wrong hands in either of those scenarios, they’d almost surely be “assaulted” or beaten at the very least and likely killed. It was especially bad for a woman to wear men’s clothing, broadly speaking, because that is directly and specifically condemned in the Bible. So any Trans man found hiding was facing down the short end of a long drop.

5) Asthma

Asthma was well known from the ancient Egyptians onward and the treatments didn’t particularly change until the renaissance. Herbs, among them coltsfoot and horsetail, were used for their bronchodilator properties and the afflicted were kept outside as much as possible to get fresh air. They’d be treated with the medieval equivalent of nebulisation too, using ginger, thyme and alcohol to form a fume one could breathe in.

Depending on what they believed was causing it, patients could be leeched or bled, but that was mostly done in very late medieval times and during the renaissance. More often than not asthma was associated strongly with stress, and the prescriptions tended to focus around alleviating that. Going away into the hills for a few days, spending time with relatives and eating a rich diet with plenty of onion (vitamin C) was the basic script.

Now it’s worth mentioning that there was very little distinction between asthma, allergies and malaria. So if one had bad allergies or asthma during the summer, it could be assumed one had malaria and be given treatment appropriate to that; trouble is that often those made asthma symptoms worse. Slippery elm was the primary plant used to treat malaria because of the quinine in the bark ( not that they knew that) but it’s a dangerous plant because it can ironically constrict the airway.

6) Bowstrings From Human Body Parts

Possible? Absolutely.

Human tendons and sinews are tough. Very tough. They have to be to keep us upright. The sinew in our back and legs is particularly well suited to making thread, and people did that. Remember what I said about executioners selling body parts to alchemists? Well, they took tendons and skins as a priority, because it was quite popular in the middle of the Middle Ages (1200-1400) to bind certain books in human skin. Mostly these books were medical manuals, herbal remedies, and sometimes holy books. But the point is, people did use human sinew to make…well, sinew.

They also used human intestines to make sutures! It was believed that since the material was made of human, if you put it in a human, they’d have less of a reaction.

As to bowstrings…while I certainly wouldn’t put it past someone to use human entrails or sinews in a bowstring for clout, sinew isn’t actually that great of a material for bowstrings. It absorbs oil from your fingers, and decomposes quickly without rigorous maintenance. Many peasants used sinew bowstrings because they were cheap and easy to replace. What’s more, this is an era of man’s most foul enemy (as viewed at the time) : Mice. And I can personally attest, having had my own sinew strewn bow eaten by mice, that they are drawn to it like flies to honey.

What was more commonly used by professionals was hemp or flax, with a very specific weave that left it strong but flexible. Some archers used composite strings made of both sinew and flax, but it was not common since weaving them together is tricky.

However, interestingly, it wasn’t too outlandish to presume one might use human bone in the construction of a composite bow. It was common to use horn for the bow nock, the part that holds the string, but sometimes decorative bone, antler, or rarely rock was used in front of that. The piece would be very small, but there nonetheless.

Human bones were used to make amulets and sometimes medicine too.

mostly, i just wanted to say thank you again for the support and interest! i was just so blown away by everyone’s likes, messages, comments, and well-wishes... every paper i’ve turned in to my advisor has had a dumb, shameless pun in the title, and i’ve literally interned at the U.S. library of congress... but 0.000003% of tumblr’s attention focused on my paper is what gets me flustered 😭

(p.s. there's a little more info below the cut!)

so, i have decided to present the information from my research in a more accessible format... as a black first-gen immigrant community college-graduate with disabilities, who is finally about to graduate after like a decade of health stuff getting in the way of school, i’m really passionate about making sure everyone feels included in spaces like the one i’ve been trying to create using this blog... so, i mean, i could just share a long list of references… but slogging through dense academic sources can be really discouraging for some, and i’d love for as many people to get something out of this project as possible.

i envision (in approximate order of posting):

a fairly dry post of references with short annotations pointing to the useful sections + links that lead to the sources, with ideally nothing behind a paywall;

a second post covering my full paper and the main and supporting arguments, evidence, and of course, a controversies' section lol;

The gifs: There is a story to this. The first week I came to Tumblr, It was my first time on this site and the first time I share anything. I shared some content and my analysis had a lot of notes for a small creator that started just a week ago. But I made a mistake, I found a gif and posted it while crediting the gif maker. At the time I had NO idea it was wrong. I logged off and after 5 hours I log in and there was a WAR for that ONE gif. The big blog had me blocked and her friend was telling me to take it off. As soon as the person told me I did IMMEDIATELY and apologized againa and again and told them to tell the original gif maker to deblock me as I want to apologize directly and that they can block me after that. They did and I apologized but they just kept insulting me. Of course it was MY mistake and that’s why I apologized. But for them. for a mere gif (yes I say a mere gif because I made so many gifs and they were used on all platforms but I never thought it was necessary to hate that much on someone like they did to me). That blog was big and had big blog mutuals. Thanks to that, I became someone you do NOT become mutuals with but block and never reblog content from. Without any big mutuals. Without any shoutouts. Only my love for BTS, my dear followers’ support and my hard work.. My blog, became bigger and FAST (I got 10k in less than 6 months after I started) and that brought loads of jealousy and thus more rumors. Even if, I apologized and since then made my own gifs. And I made SO many gifsets that I can’t remember how many there were. What I can recall is at some point I made them daily and many times a day.

Posted stalker pics: well wow the story changes each time. Next thing you will hear that I was the one holding a camera for a member in a Vlive lol. Let me teach you about this update thing I was doing. I follow accounts I trust and that’s how we get info circulating fast. I always do reasearch but sometimes mistakes are made. When Jonghyun passed away ... I don’t even wanna recall that night as the memories just ... when that happened I posted about it and send my condolescences. that post had over 10k notes and was at the top the tag. Why did I do that? I was devastated. Yes, many were but I will talk about me rn: I was suicidal the days before that and one of the songs that I listened to when I was broken where by him. I was outside as I couldn’t breathe anymore and the idea of seeing the walls of my room was hell. I cried and cried and the teary eyes that my father looked at me with are something I am ashamed of to this day. To add one more thing while I am spilling the beans. I hate learning about someone dying. My grandma passed away sometime before that and it was so shocking to me. and some people came and told me when I was mourning her: Go follow that bitch of grandmother of yours. And for what? At that moment I didn’t think I would live to see the next year but I went to therapy and took medecine that was hurting and made me shake all day just to turn somewhat sane. No one knew tho ... I smiled all day and cried all night.. Even on the blog I fought no one of the ones who hated me. I just blocked them but even that was an insult to them?

Again, you said no one should defend me. Yet, you were ready to fight whoever touched anyone around you. What about changing your URL to beautifulassirony

hey hey hey i made a mpdsap iceberg a little while back and i thought it would be fun to yell into the void about it, because why not. i havent explained the lore to my followers yet and ill probably reblog this to my main tbh

[little disclaimer that a lot of these are based off of made up lore and ocs on my main account. if youre strictly canon only then i wouldnt recommend this for you. if you’re interested but have no knowledge about said lore, i will give basic explanations]

LAYER 1

Joey Perleoni: joey perleoni is well known as the poster of the anti-piracy videos, who, recently, has involved himself more in the videos. joey in my lore is depicted as mostly emotionless or “empty” with no remorse for his actions.

Mario Party DS Anti-Piracy OST: on the channel, there is pretty convincing fake music for the series, there’s not much else to say about it other than it’s SUPER bangin’

Joey was arrested: in a video titled ‘the police are at my house’, joey is taken in by the police. he is presumably in prison

Luigi is the victim: in all of the videos posted, luigi is the main character, and is often considered the victim of the horrible events happening.

Hex code translations: in the videos, there are several hex codes, which can be translated to several different things. the ones we’ve found are hellsatan, luigimod, thx4luv, watchdemon.jit etc.

Reggie Fils-Amie video: on joey’s channel, his first upload has nothing to do with mpdsap, but rather it’s a video filming a joke reggie made about mother 3. it’s unknown if this is connected or not.

LAYER 2

Luxury station and Quiznos: luxury station is joey’s second account, revolving a few strange videos about a place named quiznos. it’s unknown if this is connected or not

Hudson (the man): in my lore, there is a character named hudson, who inherited the company. he’s considered the person who made the anti-piracy screens, or at least encouraged it strongly. this character is based off of some text in host hoedown, which translates to “hudson - this is not necessary. it will extend the launch considerably.” (also i know hudson is the name of the company but the time i found out it was too late)

“Joey no longer runs the account” theory: there was a theory going around after joey’s arrest that someone else is running the account, since there should be no way he should keep posting. this is probably deconfirmed by now

Joey doesn’t feel much emotion: as stated before, my depiction of joey is that of “mostly emotionless or completely empty”. there is no reason for this currently (it’s kind of a case study at this point tbfh)

DJ Hallyboo is based on MC Ballyhoo: in mario party 8 for the wii, there is a character that bears extreme resemblance to DJ Hallyboo, named MC Ballyhoo. they have the same voice clips used, similar names, and somewhat similar designs. MC Ballyhoo is the host of mario party 8. it is general considered that DJ Hallyboo is a beta version of MC Ballyhoo by fans.

LAYER 3

Electric chair: in the video simply titled “mario party ds anti piracy |”, where joey sits on a chair and boots up mario party ds, a few comments were floating around joking about him getting the electric chair. this hasn’t been confirmed

Hudson and Joey used to be friends: this is mostly outdated now, but there was a joke timeline where hudson and joey were friends in the past. not gonna cover it any further than that because it’s an old concept now

MC Ballyhoo and DJ Hallyboo are the same person: in my lore, the general consensus is that MC Ballyhoo and DJ Hallyboo are the same person, with split personalities. he is also either sentient or extremely aware.

Joey is god: in my lore, there is a mostly bizzare idea that joey is divine and has always been divine. he became “a god” by doing criminal acts, or sacrificing luigi. i can’t tell you if this is canon to my lore or not yet though - it started as a meme, but i really do like the idea somehow.

“Waiter, your finger’s in the soup!”: a mysterious quote with no real meaning that was quoted by joey a couple of times. it is connected to a short comic. nobody has found out what it means yet or why it’s being posted about.

LAYER 4

“Joey does drugs” joke: (TW // DRUG ABUSE)

this joke spawned from something i learned in school. apparently people who abuse illegal drugs gradually start feeling less dopamine doing normal activities over time, due to drug overstimulation. this was jokingly connected to joey’s chronic emptiness and inability to feel anything, with the joke that he does meth or some other illegal drug. it’s also noted that drug abusers are likely to commit other crimes. this is of course, not serious at all.

Joey stole MPDS from mcdonalds: this is a personal theory of mine. mcdonalds and MPDS have absolutely no connection - so why are they attempted to be connected at all? in the video, it describes a demo being sold in happy meals at mcdonalds - it’s a possibility that joey stole the demo from mcdonalds, and doesn’t actually have the full game.

Joey wearing the same clothes as the character: i have drawn joey with a yellow sweater (with orange sleeves) and grey shorts for a while now. in the mcdonalds video, he was wearing nearly the same outfit (with the exception of the shorts being pants). he also has brown hair, which i predicted, but it’s much darker. this is probably a coincidence but it’s pretty freaky honestly.

Techwalker: this will probably be the longest segment in the iceberg and the most lore heavy. techwalker was joey’s old channel. he made extremely different content - mainly of which was just bothering random people on the street and at conventions. he has described himself as a “journalist”, but this is all basically fun and games. these videos are now unlisted and i will not be linking them nor telling you where to find them for privacy reasons. i don’t want to get in trouble. if i find any of yall spreading it around im taking down the post and will probably not talk about this again, you dont want that, i dont want that, nobody wants that really.

in the lore, techwalker is not joey. they are 2 seperate people - but they live in the same body. what this means is that either one can take control at a time - joey is completely numb to everything around him, but tech is a pretty happy go lucky and social person. they have different personalities, morals, names and lead different lives. tech even wears glasses (assuming he has some kind of impaired eyesight), and joey does not.

(this has been confused with dissociative identity disorder. while i don’t mind people interpreting my content in whatever way they’d like, considering this is just fan-lore, this was not the intent. i do not have DID and i don’t want to speak for anyone who has DID.)

the general consensus is that tech is dead, or at least completely drowned out, and joey has taken complete control. joey and tech were practically mortal enemies and polar opposites of each other. (joey constantly being annoyed or uninterested in tech’s hyperactivity, and tech not trusting joey to be responsible or ‘law abiding’)

Hey, I’m new to Tumblr and I’ve only recently come back to the Supernatural fandom. I see a lot of anti Misha Collins tags and anti Jensen and anti Daneel tags. Why is that? What happened? Did they say or do anything bad?

I’m probably not the best person to explain everything but basically Misha Collins is a queer-baiting attention whore.. among other things lmao.. There’s some things I reblogged on my page that’ll explain it better than I do but basically some of the things he says and does encourages the toxic behavior of the Destiel shippers. It’s especially ridiculous that he does this knowing that his own co-star, Jensen, is NOT a fan of the ship like AT ALL. A lot of this lead to calling Jensen homophobic.

Other than all of that Misha has done some other problematic things like making some racist jokes, rape jokes, etc. There’s some other antis on here that have screenshots of some of those terrible tweets so I can try to find them and link them to you if you’d like.

As for Jensen; I’m not an anti Jensen blog so there’s not a lot I have against him and I’m still a little new so I haven’t heard much major controversy around him, ya know? I think the worst thing I’ve heard about him is that he cheated on some girlfriends in the past one of which he cheated was with Danneel. I haven’t really heard anything else.

Now Danneel... ohhh boy. She and Misha are pretty much cut from the same cloth. Both are attention seeking assholes.

Aside from that there’s been some word going around that she’s been extremely rude to fans before (even calling them fat whores from what I’ve heard) and apparently telling someone that whatever mental illness they have is just all in their head or something like that. Not sure if that’s how it was worded exactly. She apparently has a history of deleting comments that call her out on some questionable behavior or motive and she lies quite a lot. Also not to mention her performative bs when it comes to anything political. She’s just not a genuine person and is very fake. Others are allowed to disagree although I don’t think this will be the blog for you then lol.

There’s apparently also some instances where she’s belittled/mocked Jensen but again I can try to link some posts that go into better detail on that than I can. Their marriage is pretty much real cringe to watch at this point as it seems like they can barely be around each other lmao.. again though, there’s other blogs that go into better detail on that so just hit me up nonnie I can find some juicy posts to link to you.
