Dungeon Meshi Modern AU Important Laios Thought:
Okay so Laios would definitely get into a fist fight with Undertale creator Toby Fox right, actually not even going to put a question mark after right because I know I'm right. Laios would be introduced to Undertale as soon as it comes out because Falin backed the kickstarter and had been gushing to her brother about it's fun concept for an RPG where you don't have to kill any monsters. Laios then plays Undertale and slowly grows to hate it, because the promise of monsters actually just turned out to be a bunch of weirdly shaped humans who could be killed more easily. He keeps playing to try and connect with Falin about it but when he reaches the pacifist ending on his 9th playthrough he flips his desk when Flowey becomes a GoatMAN, and thus resolves to beat-up Toby Fox. Thankfully tracking him down is easy because in the modern AU Marcille has a new magic spell called "Hacking into people's computers", which she agreed to do if Laios would stop drawing her as a furry or a dubious little creature and would instead draw a picture of her fish Sky. When Laios gets to Toby Fox's house he bangs at the door, but instead of Toby Fox walking out he is first met with a tired looking man wearing a carefully knitted sweater saying "I LOVE MY CHILD, KID ICARUS UPRISING FOR THE NINTENDO 3DS" on it. He walks over to his care and peacefully drives away. Since Laios didn't care about this man he kept looking at the door. After 5 of gods own minutes Toby Fox trotted out to greet him. As Toby Fox appeared in the form of a small white dog Laios thought he had the upper hand with his animal knowledge, however Toby Fox is simply a human in the form of a dog and quickly dislodged a vinyl record from the wall with a piece of tape that had text written on it saying "TOBY FOX'S ROCK OPERA" and hit Laios over the head like he was Alex YIIK and knocked Laios the hell out. Afterwards whenever Undertale was brought up around Laios he would say "I bet if I could code I'd make a game called "Eatertale" and it would be much more realistic". This would continue on for years until one day when Izutsumi is google searching for JPEGs of Fish on Laios laptop when her paw pads don't work well on the trackpad, leading swiping her hand too fast over the thing and accidently pressing the windows key and seeing all of Laios tabs. On multiple of them is beautiful sprite work with various titled but all containing the phrase "DELTARUNE WIP" attached to them.
Izutsumi doesn't really care about Laios' artwork so she doesn't end up telling anybody.
A few more years pass and everyone finds out due to Kabru sending everyone a group text from the hospital because while he was reading the Deltarune credits for fun he saw Laios' name in the credits under the artists section and had his legs kick so fast as a reaction it broke his desk and sent him and his chair careening towards the floor.

hey love, can i request smutty john wick x reader with hunter x pray vibe? and the reader gets scared eventually so john has to reassure her that he would never hurt her ;)
this is such a cute idea omg -- this fic is really loooong
john wick x fem reader
mysterious meeting
John was a very mysterious man, you had only met him a couple times. He was on a work trip in France, he was a "traveling business man". John was staying in an apartment building near yours, occasionally he would walk past you on the street on his way to "work" or see you while he was getting coffee. He knew he only had a couple days left being in your city, but he didn't want the opportunity of meeting you to go to waste.
The sky was turning into a deep shade of grey as you were walking home from work, working at a fashion intern was challenging more days than expected. At least you got to wear cute outfits to work right? Whilst walking home in your high heeled shoes on the hard french concrete small drops of rain began to poor, slowly but surely.
The rain seemed to speed up as you were walking until you brushed the shoulder of an older man on accident, you were astonished and quite embarrassed. He was beautiful, wearing a formal attire holding a black umbrella. You timidly spoke saying "I'm sorry", but he replied "It's alright, would you like to stand under my umbrella?" You realized you both were walking in the same direction so you quickly nodded your head saying yes.
He smelled of rich cologne with notes of coconut, looking at him on your right side you could see he was a very pretty human. To him he thought you were a marvelous woman from just meeting. Soon after enough he walked you home, you thanked him dearly. He then said "I'd love to get to know you more, but i'm only here for a couple more days." You looked at him with slight sadness now after hearing he will probably magically disappear within a week. While both of you were still at your front door you replied "Could you wait for a minute?". Unlocking your door quickly you ran into your beautiful apartment scavenging to find a pen, a red pen you grabbed and wrote your number on a clean page from your diary. Writing your phone number and name, you then sped over and handed the paper to John. He speaking curiously "What's this?" and with you replying "A way to contact me if you ever get bored in the city."
Later that night John was standing in the shower of his luxurious apartment thinking to himself what he could do with you. With droplets of water sprinkling upon him he was fascinated about how he's been seeing you on him route to work each day, but today was different. He wanted to know you, maybe even have a relationship of some sort, but he also had a fear of you becoming afraid of him. He was an older man.
The next day was you got a text from an unknown number "Hi, its me I hope I don't creep you out but would you like to get ice-cream or something with me this afternoon?" He secretly wanted more than that but he didn't want to seem to aggressive. Instantly you replied to him and choosing the perfect time for the both of you.
You decided to meet up at the ice cream shop, of course John was there 5 minutes early. He didn't want to waste a second of being with you, just the thought of you made him excited. The two of you greeted each other with a hug, a very amorous hug that didn't go unnoticed by both of you. You chose your favorite ice-cream flavor and John chose chocolate. Sitting at an outside table he asked about what you did for work, your favorite artist, and your personal life. He just wanted to know as much as he could about you, it was like you were a book with endless pages.
While you both were sitting you realized how perfect he was, his velvet soft voice with the combination of his light brown eyes was enough to allure you completely. He was more mature, something you weren't used to. John then spoke quietly "Would you like to come back to my house later to watch a movie?". Naively you spoke "yea why not"
He held your hand on the trip back to his home, the sun was setting and you felt cozy. The cool breeze made you shiver, but smile nonetheless.
John welcomed you into his sophisticated high rise apartment, overlooking the beautiful view of France. He then quickly started making popcorn and advised you to turn on the tv to pick a movie. Picking a cult classic "Pulp Fiction" the both of you sat on his lovely sofa. John walked over to you with a bowl of popcorn, while making signaling hand gestures with you to cuddle.
Not even 15 minutes into watching the movie you felt John's hands roam on your legs and thighs. You looked at him with lust, it was like he knew all along how much you wanted him, but you had never been with a man his age, let alone with his skill. He held you closely pecking small kisses onto your cheeks, your hands began to roam his body. Feeling your touch made him feel alive. Nobody was able to make him feel this type attraction or even arousal in years.
You slowly knelt upwards sitting in front of John, kissing him passionately whilst making eye contact with him. His hands explored your upper thighs. He couldn't wait. He picked up your body as if you were a doll. Quickly speeding over to his room, a room filled with the coolest art you had ever seen. His bed was huge, but his bed was usually spent with him lying in it lonesomely. He placed your precious body on his soft sheets.
You were still frightened of what would happen next. Not knowing if the "relationship" between you guys would even be held to his heart as closely as it would be to you. Immediately you were filled with fear and anxiety, John could see it in your eyes. You asked for a glass of water claiming you were thirsty but in reality you were afraid of what was to happen next.
John was a little irritated, he loved your sweet scent, and your quirkiness. He wanted to get to know you more. He knew he could be a little intimidating so he let you have a few minutes to yourself, so he caught up on a few emails on his phone while sitting in his kitchen.
After walking back over to John you slowly move your hands on his chest, he lit up with excitement and eagerness. Your hands traced over his shoulders and arms. Instantly he began to give you kisses whilst holding you closely, you tried to unbutton his shirt but it was like he ripped it off of himself. He then began to make you unravel. Quickly he removed your top off, moving his hands around your torso you felt like a dainty fairy. In the midst of kissing you didn't even notice the both of you had your bottoms off as well but you were still a little scared.
You took a breath from the heavy session, saying vaguely "I'm scared" John looked at you and understood he wanted you to have a good experience with him not just something he would enjoy. He grabbed your hand and you followed him to his bedroom once more. Placing you in the middle of his bed gently he began to remove your underwear. He smirked seeing you soaked.
He began to lean over you and place soft kisses on your chest. John then inserted one of his fingers into you making you gasp quietly. He spoke saying "You're such a sweet girl" then adding another into you, he loved see your reaction of what he was doing inside of you showing on your face. He loved having so much power over you.
He removed his two fingers from you and pulled down his grey underwear. It was definitely a sight you wouldn't want to miss. John inserted himself into you, it hurt just for a few seconds then he began to speed up at the perfect pace. He was an older guy so he was more skilled right?
He had you in the perfect angle and position hitting your soft spot. You tried to grasp on to what ever was near you but his bed was a place that had no soft bears or plushies to hold you definitely took note of that. John was a compassionate lover, he got off on seeing your reactions to his touch and words...
The night ended with you both cuddling in the shower telling and small comments usually consisting of "I love you".
the end for now xoxo...

Lay All Your Love On Me
Written By: Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson
Artist: ABBA
Released: 1981
Cover included: Amanda Seyfried & Dominic Cooper for Mamma Mia!, 2008
“Lay All Your Love On Me” explores the high emotions and passions that can emerge when falling in love, and documents one woman’s shift into erratic behaviors as she falls under the spell of her new lover. The song hit number one in the US dance charts in 1981, but has lasted in popularity over the years, becoming an ABBA staple. It was featured in the band’s jukebox musical (and its movie adaption), Mamma Mia, and in 2006 was named the 60th greatest dance song of all time by Slant magazine.
[Verse 1] I wasn't jealous before we met Now every woman I see is a potential threat And I'm possessive, it isn't nice You've heard me saying that smoking was my only vice [Pre-Chorus] But now it isn't true Now everything is new And all I've learned has overturned I beg of you [Chorus] Don't go wasting your emotion Lay all your love on me [Verse 2] It was like shooting a sitting duck A little small talk, a smile, and baby, I was stuck I still don't know what you've done with me A grown-up woman should never fall so easily [Pre-Chorus] I feel a kind of fear When I don't have you near Unsatisfied, I skip my pride I beg you, dear [Chorus] Don't go wasting your emotion Lay all your love on me Don't go sharing your devotion Lay all your love on me [Verse 3] I've had a few little love affairs They didn't last very long and they've been pretty scarce I used to think that was sensible It makes the truth even more incomprehensible [Pre-Chorus] 'Cause everything is new And everything is you And all I've learned has overturned What can I do? [Chorus] Don't go wasting your emotion Lay all your love on me Don't go sharing your devotion Lay all your love on me Don't go wasting your emotion Lay all your love on me Don't go sharing your devotion Lay all your love on me Don't go wasting your emotion Lay all your love on me

Demolition Lovers
Written By: Matt Pelissier, Mikey Way, Ray Toro & Gerard Way
Artist: My Chemical Romance
Released: 2002
The Demolition Lovers are the couple seen on the cover for MCR’s next album, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. This song, along with much of the album, is a prequel to the story of Three Cheers… in which a man makes a deal with the devil to get his dead lover back by killing 1,000 evil men and giving the devil their souls in exchange for her. This song is most likely where the lover dies. The two “Demolition Lovers” are featured on the cover of the album.
[Verse 1] Hand in mine, into your icy blues And then I'd say to you, "We could take to the highway With this trunk of ammunition, too" I'd end my days with you, in a hail of bullets [Chorus] I'm trying, I'm trying To let you know just how much you mean to me And after all the things We put each other through and [Verse 2] I would drive on to the end with you A liquor store or two keeps the gas tank full And I feel like there's nothing left to do But prove myself to you, and we'll keep it running [Chorus] But this time, I mean it I'll let you know just how much you mean to me As snow falls on desert sky Until the end of everything I'm trying, I'm trying To let you know how much you mean As days fade and nights grow And we grow cold [Post-Chorus] Until the end, until this pool of blood Until this, I mean this, I mean this, until the end of [Chorus] I'm trying, I'm trying To let you know how much you mean As days fade and nights grow And we grow cold But this time, we'll show them We'll show them all how much we mean As snow falls on desert sky Until the end of every… [Interlude] All we are, all we are is bullets, I mean this All we are, all we are is bullets, I mean this All we are, all we are is bullets, I mean this All we are, all we are is bullets, I mean this [Guitar Solo] [Bridge] As lead rains will pass on through Our phantoms forever, forever Like scarecrows that fuel this flame We're burning forever and ever Know how much I want to show you You're the only one Like a bed of roses There's a dozen reasons in this gun [Outro] And as we're falling down, and in this pool of blood And as we're touching hands, and as we're falling down And in this pool of blood, and as we're falling down I'll see your eyes, and in this pool of blood I'll meet your eyes, I mean this forever!

Is there any respectful way to ask a writer/artist/creative person if something they made was inspired by something else without discounting their originality? Like if I was asking a writer if they interacted with or were inspired by the writing from some other show/game/book is there a set of caveats that I could include to make sure I'm not just saying "Wow cool book, it's just like this show I watched" and therefore make it sound like I think there was no original idea behind their work? Or is it always going to seem like that? I guess on some level it depends on the person I'm asking but I'd appreciate your thoughts anyway.
That's a good question! I obviously can't speak for everyone, but I personally don't have a problem with this question, because I don't think it's a bad thing to acknowledge your creative influences. Every artist I know is inspired by a mix of lived reality and the works of other people - creative originality is like 10% brand new concept, 90% execution.
Tumblr media
yeah yeah the night sky we've all seen it
Anyway, I find this question fun and exciting, because either the answer is a simple "no I've never seen/read/heard that" or "oh yea, let's use this media as an analytical lens to see how it could've influenced me!" Sometimes even I didn't realize or remember that a story I liked might've poked through mine in fun ways.
That said, I don't have any hangups about being original. I'm a fan of the "simple meal well made" approach to entertainment. Heck, I pattern-recognize tropes for a living, it'd be weird if I cared about telling the world's first completely original story with absolutely no influences. Lots of writers are very open about their influences - mythological, shakespearian, biblical, folkloric. Some authorial influences are so widespread they become tropes or genres themself - Tolkienesque fantasy, Aasimov's three laws of robotics, Le Guin's truename magic system. I think it's perfectly reasonable to spot a pattern and want to know if it's a real connection.
Asking might also be more polite than assuming. There's a lot of stories out there, and a writer might not like hearing secondhand that everyone's comparing their work to something they've never heard of because it has three tropes and a character silhouette in common. Then again, it varies from creator to creator.
I think I'm coming down on the "if you're curious, ask" side of things. Worst comes to worst you might very briefly irritate them. There are far worse crimes.

Majokko Carnival
So far on this blog I've covered several titles already that didn't last very long, and there are many more in that vein I plan to cover later. The magical girl genre is quite flexible, so longevity isn't inherently an indicator of quality. You could even, say, compile a bunch of shorter magical girl works into one publication. And on that note, today I want to look at one of the only anthologies of magical girl manga I've been able to find.
Tumblr media
Majokko Carnival is a manga anthology published by Rapport Comics on April 20, 1991. It contains 16 standalone chapters by as many different artists, all centering witchy or otherwise magical girl protagonists.
Rapport has a really interesting history unto itself, but that's largely outside the scope of this blog. To give you the short version, they started out as an event planning company before pivoting to anime merchandise, originally distributed through mail order before eventually establishing their own storefront. They went defunct in 2003 and now seem to be best remembered for their manga anthologies, such as this one, as well as their manga magazine Fanroad, which was first published in 1980.
I haven't gotten to read this anthology for myself, nor have I been able to find much information about the stories contained within it, but I have found a listing of all 16 chapters and authors, so I'd like to go through what little I know of them one at a time. Note that I had to rely heavily on machine translation in order to make sense of this list, so apologies if some of these names are presented incorrectly.
Majokko Pomuru by Tsukasa-sei Takasaki
The manga whose protagonist is featured on the front cover. I wasn't able to find any synopsis of the plot but it was included on a list of magical gender bender manga in which male protagonists become magical girls, so make of that what you will. Tsukasa-sei Takasaki (who I've also seen referred to as Shiro Takasaki) is a doujinshi artist who seems to have mostly been active in the 90s and published at least one other work through Rapport.
Catty Black by Omoi Ataru
Tumblr media
This is actually the first chapter, but for whatever reason the list linked above flipped the order of the first two. I haven't been able to find a plot synopsis for this one either, but the pictures I've found from it seem to present a slice-of-life comedy about a catgirl witch. The artist, Omoi Ataru, mostly worked in smaller scale manga, including some doujinshi, and she has more recently pivoted to doll customization.
Trouble Maker by Hirano Ramu
I haven't been able to track down plot details or even images for this one (or the next few) and the author is pretty elusive too. The only other work of theirs was published sometime between 1989 and 1992, all of it somehow more obscure than Majokko Carnival.
Hirune by ○Mikan
Hirune is the Japanese word for nap. This is the first installment of a series called Sora no Majo (or Witch of the Sky) which would continue publication in Fanroad until 1994. The artist has gone by a number of names over the years and is still active on Pixiv, having pivoted to hentai. ...'Kay.
Majo Monogatari by Tawashi
The title translates to Witch Story. Tawashi (who I've also seen referred to as Tsukako) is a part time manga artist who also works as a nurse, and has even written a manga called Nurse Story, published by Rapport in 1993. She's written about witches a couple other times, but sadly I haven't been able to find any information about any of them, including this one.
Manatsu no Yozora ni Zebra ga Tobu! by Hibino Mariya
The title approximately translates to The Zebra Flies in the Midsummer Night Sky. I would love to know what that means in the context of the story but, predictably, searching turned up few useful results. I've also had difficulty transcribing the artist's name, 日比野魔俐婀. I've seen it translated a bunch of different ways, so if anybody is able to contribute a more accurate reading of it, it would be much appreciated. They contributed illustrations to two other manga I was able to find: Halloween, written by Marialle, and Babylon, written by Tact.
Kenage na Amulet by Hokoi Satoshi
Tumblr media
Title translates approximately to Healthy Amulet or Amulet of Good Health (I think). While I haven't found any details about this manga, I was able to find a review for another Satoshi Hokoi manga that may shed some insight as to the author's style. Portrait, a 1992 manga also published by Rapport, has a very dark tone and heavy story elements despite its' cute art style. This artist has since pivoted to erotica published under the pseudonym Gyro Amarume.
A Kuvira! Dark Princess by Fujisawa Naoto
Another one without any pictures or plot details. Apparently this one was reprinted on May 1, 1994 in another Rapport anthology called Pretty Daisakusen (Pretty Operation), but there's even less information out there about that one than there is on Majokko Carnival. Naoto Fujisawa would publish two other manga through Rapport in the 90s, both of them shoujo: Death Rocker in 1993 and Gargoyle in 1996. The former ran for two volumes until 1998 and even got reprinted in June of 2004 as a single-volume omnibus by Daito Comics.
Chotto Matte ne by Tokumi Yuiko
Tumblr media
The title is a slightly more casual and familiar variation on the phrase "wait a moment". Yuiko Tokumi is a renowned illustrator who has contributed to various visual novels, card games, and even done character design for at least one anime figure, as well as plenty of doujinshi (including a Sailor Moon doujin in 1996). She is best known for creating Binzume Yousei (Bottle Fairies) and Slow Start which were released as anime in 2003 and 2018 respectively. (You would think her notoriety would mean there's more information available about Chotto Matte ne, but alas.)
Mahou Soudou by Nantoka Fumihiko
Title translates to Magic Commotion. Fumihiko Nantoka also contributed a manga titled Suna no Majo (Witch of Sand) to Pretty Daisakusen, but I haven't been able to track down any information about that one either. For that matter, all of their manga is pretty obscure. Much of it was published by Rapport and everything I could find publication dates for is from the 90s.
Beginner's Ray by Tashiro Takuya
Tumblr media
Takuya Tashiro has mostly worked on action manga, particularly ones with sexy female protagonists, and he was active into the 2010s. His series Najica Dengeki Sakusen was published in English as Najica Blitz Tactics and Atori Shou is his longest running manga at seven volumes.
Wiz Master by E=MC2
Tumblr media
Of everything on this list this is THE single hardest combination of words to find anything relevant with. All I have to go on is a where-are-they-now type roundup of smaller manga artists in a blog post from 2014. That post indicated E=MC2 isn't as active as some of the others and mostly does manga about catgirls.
Kurayama Otome by Yokoyama Hiroko
Title means Kurayama maiden, with Kurayama being a Japanese surname that apparently has a variety of meanings. I wasn't able to find much about Hiroko Yokoyama's older work, but she is still active on Pixiv (though fair warning: a small number of her art there is NSFW). She even has some of her newer comics available in English, which is way cool from an accessibility standpoint!
A Looking Glass by Takekura Riku
Riku Takekura is another obscure artist who mostly seems to have been active in the 90s and heavily associated with Rapport. They won a "special award" when they placed 3rd in the FR Contest in 1990 (though I couldn't find what for). A manga of theirs titled Aoi. Hyouma Ran (Blue. Possession) was published in the horror themed August 1991 special edition issue of Fanroad, titled Nightzone. The most recent work of theirs I can find, a manga titled Leaf, was published by Rapport in April of 1996.
Rinji Majo Baita Yukiko! by Yumenohashi Kouichi
This title approximates to Extraordinary Witch Bitch Yukiko!... I think. Kouichi Yumenohashi (who also goes by Koichiro Takahashi) is still active in the industry and seems to specialize in sports manga.
Sore Ike Sen Hitoshi-chan by Hirano Masahiro
My understanding is sore ike means something like "go ahead!" and I'm guessing Sen Hitoshi-chan is the main character's name. This is one that the machine translations really struggled with (the original text is それいけ千仁矢ちゃん for the manga's title and 平乃眞砂廣 for the artist's name if anybody wants to take a crack at it) and, once again, I haven't found any information about the manga itself. Even the mangaka is very obscure, his only other original work being a manga titled Africa that I couldn't find any info on either. Apparently he also contributed to a Fire Emblem anthology, so that's neat.
So... what have we learned?
One of the things that really interested me about Majokko Carnival is that it came out at the tail end of the pre- Sailor Moon era. I know we can be pretty reductive when talking about Sailor Moon's influence on the magical girl genre, but it is notable how much more popular the magical fighter archetype is after her debut than before it. Plenty of older magical girls were either witches or just girls who happened to use magic, and that's something this anthology perfectly encapsulates, based on what little I could find about it.
Beyond that though, I was surprised by how in-house this was. Many of these artists had their other work published by Rapport, either in Fanroad or other anthologies. While some of them went on to find broader success after their time with the company, I get the sense not all of them wanted to. There's actually something weirdly heartening about how Rapport was able to be this sort of platform for smaller artists who may not have had other, better resources at their disposal. The rise of the internet has made it easier to get one's creative works out there (though that certainly comes with its own pitfalls), but I still think it's worth taking a look back at the kinds of stories people were trying to tell before that framework had been established. I would love it if there were more magical girl anthologies like this one. I would love it if more information about this one became available. But if nothing else, I'm glad Majokko Carnival exists.

So I've noticed something in recent years about media consumption (I know your eyes are probably already glazing over). Well it's probably been a thing for a long time but the idea of waning or waxing popularity with time. I mostly want to talk about waning but for the waxing side I feel like I've always seen it with music. An album comes out, has kind of mediocre reviews or is generally seen as good not great, but a few years later and it's revered as a classic with some of the best songs the artist has ever made. An easy one to point at for that here is Eminem I mean he literally mentions it in one of his songs too, but that aside onto the waning. I've seen this with almost every major popular thing in recent memory but I'm going to hone in on video games and the latest example being Baldur's Gate 3. The way it went from receiving nothing but praise to nothing but criticism. The pedestal it was put on being ripped away by fans right away for any conceivable thing that wasn't as good as it could be. It makes me think that once we start declaring something is amazing, perfect, a classic in the making, that there is going to be an inevitable heel turn on it. Now I can't confirm every corner of the internet (I swear I do touch grass sometimes) just what I see online so anecdotal as this may be I'd be curious to see if others have noticed it too, but I see almost everything that the game received praise for now being given back in criticism. "It was a perfect game the characters were deep and there's so much to do!" Into "The story was really lacking, half the play throughs weren't that good and honestly the characters didn't do enough/weren't eccentric enough." Which I kind of find fascinating. Personally I don't have hard feelings on it, I think the endgame pacing could be tweaked and some more content for Wyll added, but overall I enjoyed the game plenty (200 hours) and then moved along. I find it really interest to see the overall narrative start to slide hard though, the way those little things are not becoming detriments and that Larian need to add x, y, and z things or the game is terrible. I don't think this is exclusive of BG3 either, it feels like something that sort of permeates fandom these days. The idea that when something is so good in the eyes of many there is an inevitable tearing it down as soon as enough people decide it could be better. On the flipside midling games or content that slowly gets better seems to have it's public perception in a better state a few years after the game vs games that came out with incredible reviews and response that just let their finished works be. It makes me wonder if say No man's Sky, Cyberpunk, etc games that people would say sucked on launch but got way better with updates would stack at their peak against a BG3 in fandom eyes. Would those games have gotten the inevitable tear down too? Idk this is all just a ramble I've been watching the slow change from happy to disgruntled within this fandom for a little while now and I just think it's interesting to talk about from a fan pov.

Alright here's the results for the 2024 Precure Hopes and Predictions!
Q1: Hopes for the theme of the season?
Technology/games. Or more likely: science?
Military, video games
Technology / Gaming
Computers and/or bugs
Video games/Tech
the arts (both performing and visual)
Seriously hoping for creating things as a theme
Art theme! Or something winter-related (a precure team located in Hokkaido? That would be so cool!)
I would like a season based on a combination of gemstones and popular hobbies like arts, sports, and science. It can have a moral theme of "finding your inner sparkle, your one true talent."
I've always thought that season-based characters (spring, summer, etc.) were really fun, with lots of possibilities as far as power and design go! But it would be harder to have a sixth ranger, and we've just had a 4+1 season, so I'm not too hopeful… I guess I'd like a story around art (like, each of the girl represent a certain form of creativity?) We've had lots of cures who were artist of some kind, but their interests are rarely reflected by their cure powers!
someday i want a 4 seasons precure
Flowers
I hope for flowers theme or elementals but i think it will be idols or fashion
Insects would be fun! (ladybug lead, butterfly and honeybee Cures. Moth midseason!)
Carnival.
Cars and racing, fairy tales (specifically Peter Pan), music and dancing
We never had a proper fairy/fairy tale season, so that!
Fairy
unlikely but aliens would be fun
cats/felines + lolita fashion + fantasy
Pirates

Q2: Predictions for Cure theme colours?
Standard pink/yellow/blue to follow the pattern Hugtto set
please please please don’t go back to pink/blue/yellow
Ideal - Pink/Yellow/Green/Blue or White; Realistic - Pink/Blue/Yellow/Purple
Pink, blue, yellow, purple
Pink, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Red
I want a blue and a pink at first, then green and yellow (maybe also purple) but I am sure it will be pink/blue/yellow again
Pink, Blue, Yellow, Purple maybe, No green lol
Pink, blue, yellow, purple, maybe green?
I'm kind of curious, since Toei got pretty original with the colour scheme this year… My guess is, either they'll go for something super conventional like Healin Good or Delipre, or they're going to keep their "unique color scheme" streak.
Similar to ALaMode it can be the standard trio (PBY), followed by a red and purple duo, and later joins a vibrant green.
pink, blue/teal, purple, black/white/grey would be super cool!
Pink, Orange, Green, Yellow, Blue, Purple
Pink - Blue - Red - White (midseason)
Pink, Red, Purple
Pink, blue, green
Pink, red, white, and purple
White, orange, indigo, green, red, teal
dark pink/red, blue, and gold (later cures would be green, purple, and black/white/grey)
For gaming: the usual letter button colors (red green yellow blue) For science: uhh, def needs a Cure Combust thats red. I imagine her having a combo attack with a blue cure that makes blue fire.
Pink leader (current season was too revolutionary, time for Toei to get back to a safer structure), a yellow/orange, a blue one, a mixed weird color joining mid-season and hopefully a green cure
for aliens green orange pink
Green pleasssse (probably pink for the main Cure)
We've gotta get at least one green cure right?
Two colours for each Cure.
Q3: How many Cures do you expect there to be at the start?
Tumblr media
Q4: Any other thoughts?
Hopefully there'll be more than one villain active at the same time, Hirogaru Sky was honestly kind of disappointing in that regard (it does not help that the first villain's debut came with a fart joke).
I'm fine with another pink, yellow and blue Cures, but please, at least try to make them different by using different shades of said colors. There are so many, don't settle for the most basic color palette.
If it doesn't happen, I could always make fancures instead.
I really want a cure who becomes an engineer of some kind in the epilogue. Specifically a girl becoming an engineer
I am sure it will not be what I want XD but precure prove me wrong this year!
I would love unique flower motifs for each cure. All of the possibilities!
Mythology would also be a fun theme, but the Tropical team had a phoenix and so did Cure Wing, so they would probably try to space that out.
The cures' designs would be based on wild cats and domestic cat breeds: maine coon, norwegian forest cats (e.g cure forrêt), serval, jaguar. There would be a cat goddess (who could possibly also be a precure)!
Male Cure, Twins as cures, a disabled cure, a chubby cure, and a cure of color (like Elena)
I think it'd be neat to have the main trio be required to transform together as a call-back to Black/White, Bloom/Egret, Melody/Rhythm, Miracle/Magical, and Macherie/Amour, plus to keep celebrating 20 years of Precure
they will go back to pink/blue/yellow
i want scifiesque magical girls i feel like theres been lots of fairytale themeing recently and i want something very different also the idea of the midseason cure being the pink one amuses me greatly
I want more boy cures
A male lead, preferably voiced by Yuki Kaji
Please, no babies, not another one…
Random list of elements that (I think) haven't been done that much in a precure season: 1) Have cures be siblings/give a significant role to a cure's sibling. 2) Have characters actually be in a romance! I know precure has a young demographic, so romance isn't exactly important, but it's a bit tiresome how many precure romances tend to be unresolved crushes that are dragged throughout the season! I don't care if it's girl/girl, girl/boy or boy/boy, it would just be nice to see characters confess to each other and have their relationship build from there throughout the story. 3) I know there have been debates on relationships between the cures and the villains, how redeemable the villains are, how much the cures should be concerned about them, etc., but I'd like Toei to play on that dynamic more. Maybe a villain questioning their allegiance, or even turning out to be a mole for the good guys! Or on the opposite side, a cure joining the bad guys willingly, whether misguidedly or to become a mole themselves! 4) Fun stuff with the mascots! The mascots are a family! A mascot is a family member of a cure (don't ask me how that works!) Secretely-a-villain mascot! Mascot who is reluctant in their role and a bit cranky! 5) Families and non-magical friends being a relevant part of the cures' life. To be fair, it has been done several times, but it's always nice to see. 6) Boarding school!
Thanks to everyone who took part, reading these was super fun. Let's see if anyone got it right! (though you only get half of a point if the pink-blue-yellow prediction turns out right lol)

(extremely obvious who is sending this) æugh aogh ohhgb sonoi & tarou if u feel like it !! im just honestly very happy with any and all writing u do of them i adore the way u write them < 3
I was going to apologize for letting this sit for so long, but now I think maybe I've let it sit for just long enough. Enjoy. 💜💜💜 two men contemplating the moon
Tumblr media
Sonoi isn't sure what made him want to go for a walk tonight. It's typically an urge that he resists, knowing that it could only cause him pain, but this time despite everything he is here, strolling along the water's edge, still dressed for work and with his sketchbook under one arm. Not that there's much of anything to draw, but at least the air is nice, and if nothing else he has the moon's company--although it's barely present at the moment, a gleaming sliver like a healing cut in the sky. Two nights ago there was no moon at all.
He walks with his hands in his pockets and his eyes on the sky and his ears filled with the sound of the water, so he should hardly be surprised to have walked into somebody. "Excuse me," he says, "I wasn't at all looking where I was going--"
And then he looks.
Tarou is the same as he's always been, but at the same time younger, or maybe lighter, somehow less than he was but in a way that feels like a joy and not a loss. His smile is easier, his eyes are less tired. "It's all right, I wasn't looking either. Sorry about that--are you all right?"
Sonoi shakes himself, makes himself stop staring. "Yes, I'm fine. I've just been a bit...abstracted, lately, my apologies."
"Like a Kandinsky?"
"More like a Mondrian, it feels as if parts of me have been sectioned off--that's an unusual joke to make."
Tarou gestures to his sketchbook. "I thought you might be an artist. And my coworkers keep telling me that I'll have an easier time talking to people if I Iearn to make jokes."
"I..." Sonoi finds himself staring again. "I work in acquisitions at an art gallery. And I'm learning to paint, yes."
"So I guessed right, then. It seems like we've made a bond." Tarou's smile becomes even brighter.
Sonoi is breathtaken by it and can only nod. "It seems so, yes. I am...my name is Sonoi."
"So we rhyme, then, I'm Momoi. Momoi Tarou. That's another kind of bond, isn't it?"
"Yes, yes it is." Sonoi takes a breath to steady himself. "If we've made this bond, and we're both out walking alone like this, then would you like to walk with me?"
If Tarou's smile was bright before, now it is blinding, a sunrise. "Sure, I'd like that. I just really felt like I needed to look at the moon tonight, and that's always better in company."
Sonoi smiles back and feels as if he is the moon reflecting the sunlight. "Yes, it's beautiful tonight, isn't it?"
#
"I don't normally do this."
This is a lie of imprecision; to say "normally" implies an "occasionally," when in fact it would be more accurate to say "never."
What Sonoi doesn't "normally" do is, he is backed against the wall in the entryway of his small human apartment, and his fingers are curled in the collar of Momoi Tarou's shirt, and they are kissing. One of his legs is wrapped around one of Tarou's, and one of Tarou's hands is on the small of his back under his jacket while the other cups the side of his face, thumb stroking along his cheekbone.
"Neither, um." Tarou's lips are a bitten red. "Neither do I. Or ever, really, I've never," and then he shuts himself up against Sonoi's mouth.
The first time, Sonoi knows, they were both new at this. Neither one of them is new at it now, but Tarou believes that he is, and Sonoi is not such an honest person as to disillusion him, will let him believe that Sonoi is teaching him something. It is very easy nevertheless, to kiss. To allow himself to be kissed.
(The first time he had begged on his knees. This time Tarou had gotten a strange look on his face as they stood in the kitchen drinking tea, and then had asked him.)
"But," Tarou is saying, his mouth moving against the side of Sonoi's neck, "this feels really natural. To be doing this with you, even though we just met. Is that strange?"
Sonoi curls his fingers in the back of Tarou's shirt, fluttering shut, and says, "Everything in this world is strange."
"Yeah. Yeah, that's also true."
Because this is not "normally" something Sonoi does, this bringing home of men he's just met for the first time and kissing them in the entryway of his apartment, and because this is something Tarou has never done at all, they stop shortly after. Which is to say, they're both flushed, and somewhat unbuttoned, but nothing dramatic has happened apart from the sheer reality of Tarou being once again in Sonoi's embrace, which he doesn't even realize is so very, very important.
They break apart, laugh nervously, and then Sonoi says, "I feel rather like we've done things out of order."
"Yeah, maybe a little." Tarou smiles at him. "I don't mind, though."
"No, no, neither do I, but. We should, I don't know--"
"Here, give me your phone." As soon as Sonoi's phone is in Tarou's hands, he opens up the sparsely-populated contacts and starts typing in a new number. "This is me. And then you'll send me a text, and I'll have yours."
"Yes. Yes, that works." He is mesmerized by the movements of Tarou's hands in the dimness of his barely-lit apartment, dumbstruck by the process of getting to start new and do it a different way this time. "I will...we can go out for oden sometime."

Didn't you once make a genshin pokemon au? How's that going?
If I had any ounce of artistic ability, I'd be sketching the hell out of this au
For now it's just a list of every genshin character and the pokemon I think they would train based on their design and personality. Some are the same elemental type as the character's Vision while others are based on designs and backstories
And note that these are all personal partner choices!!
had to put everything under the cut because it really is every genshin character
Traveler: Swoobat, Solrock (Aether)/Lunatone (Lumine), Alolan Raichu, Celebi (borrowed!), Dewott
side note, the traveler switches partner when they would switch elements in the game. at times when the traveler can use multiple elements is when they use multiple partners, if that makes sense

Okay so lore time:
Visions = Pokéballs
Archons and other ancient beings, depending on their stories - some of them (at least Venti and Zhongli) - were “Divine” Pokémon that took on human forms once their species died out and now can train Pokémon like regular people
Unlike other regions where Pokéballs are all over the place, Teyvat only has “Vision Balls” which are gifted to people by the Divine Seven. It’s tricky to explain, but trainers whose Pokémon use Vision Balls can power-up their partners further than just their Pokemon traveling around by their sides
But because training Pokémon like this was invented by the Divine Seven in this region, the Raiden Shogun is seizing all Pokéballs from her area of jurisdiction so that no trainer may become as powerful as she, the Divine Gym Leader
Of course, other people can have Pokémon without Vision Balls, but those who have been gifted Pokéballs are said to be the most powerful trainers in the region
And then there’s the Traveler who can use the effects of a Vision Ball, but without one
Delusions could be like artificial Vision Balls that boost Pokémons’ abilities a fuck ton, but at the expense of their energy and potentially life force
Vision Balls boost the bond between trainer and Pokémon, Delusions exploit this
I’ve planned that the Abyss Order is corrupting Pokémon across the region using psychic type moves for their own purposes
Teyvat as a region is a giant melting pot of different Pokémon
The Fatui want to bring glory to the Ice Gym, the Abyss Order wants to restore their lost power
And Dainsleif was cursed when the Divine Seven had Khaenri’ah destroyed, just like Genshin lore
What do y'all think?

Right after Easter, twenty years ago this month, my mentor sent me a one-way ticket to Pittsburgh, PA, and saved my life.
I'd been more or less disowned a year and a half before--my mother threw me out on the ninth of September, 2001--and I was drowning in sand. I am not a creature of the desert, even if I was raised there, and my hometown was not a loving place for almost anyone to be. And while multiple friends and coworkers had by that point felt it necessary to stop me when I was idly talking about my week and say you know, you don't have to accept this treatment. You know, I believe she loves you, or thinks she does, but that's not GOOD ENOUGH when she treats you like she does, I hadn't yet really come to accept that my mother is who she is. I was miserable, and lonely, and not even allowed to visit  my siblings unless Mom was there, because "I don't know what you'd talk to them about, and I don't think you're righteous."
(I might, it's true, have talked to them about how I was queer. I was more likely to have talked to them about Final Fantasy or something, but I guess we'll never know.)
Mom threw me out when I was nearly nineteen. At twenty, Diane sent me a plane ticket. Her voice down the phone--I'd never heard it before, in the years that I'd been part of the young writer's forum she moderated, the internet back then was mostly text--was warm and gentle and peaceable. I found a room for you, she said. I have friends who can help you get a job. She sent me a Greyhound ticket to Phoenix (along with thirteen dollars in cash, because you could pay extra and give the recipient up to half the value of the ticket) and a plane ticket from Sky Harbor to PIT. I was scared and unsure, but I was so, so tired of being hungry. So tired of not knowing for sure where I was going to sleep next week. And sick at heart from my mother's behavior ("Did you sleep with him?" she asked me, about my fiance; when I quietly but unashamedly said I had, she pulled me forty feet by my braid, her acrylic fingernails digging bleeding grooves into my scalp that ached for months, scars I probably still have). I'd been so comprehensively heartbroken already that I didn't know how I'd survive it, and the trick to surviving suicidality is, do anything else. Even if it means you leave your whole life behind.
And I knew I'd miss my siblings, but fuck, I missed them already, so what the hell.
I got on the bus. I got on the plane. I touched down in the aftermath of a late snowstorm, and I didn't have a coat, and the air felt sharp and tasted like clouds. And Diane was there, smiling, and she started talking and didn't stop until she'd deposited me in my new home.
And then, having gotten me to Pittsburgh, she gave me everything. Took me to this meetup and that interesting park, introduced me to everyone she knew, constantly finagled and jostled and gently prodded me through anxiety and discomfort and into growth and learning and maturity. She took me to doctors and the dentist, which my mother had neglected or denied me when I begged (I was twenty the first time I ever went to a dentist; that's four or five solid years after I started telling my mother that I really needed to see one). She took me shopping for work clothes, and made suggestions about styling and my hair that would help child-sized, baby-faced me look a little more formidable. She didn't, ever, overstep; she always seemed magically to know when it was time to let go and watch me baby-stumble for a while until my feet were steady under me. I was such a very young twenty, half-feral, poorly-socialized and just about absolutely ignorant of how people should behave, and she never once made me feel ashamed of myself.
I've been thinking about this a lot this week. Twenty years. Half my life, just about precisely. All the things I've gotten to do since then--travel; take up a martial art and train and train until I competed on the national level; become an artist's model in paintings all over the world; perform lion dance for a ballet with the love of my life literally supporting me, throwing me into the air; learn to garden and to preserve my own food and to quilt and crochet and put up drywall and take down ancient varnish and unfreeze a pipe and make sourdough bread from starter and so, so many other things--I've gotten to do because of her. Because if she hadn't gotten me out of Cottonwood, within six months I would have been dead.
I love my life. I've had a lot of grief, in twenty years; lost a baby, lost friends to illness or just bad luck, lived with a boyfriend who was the very definition of psychotic and who burned my life down around my ears, chose other partners who weren't what I deserved, until I learned to require the right things. But I worked in my garden today under an unseasonably hot sun, moving wood-chip mulch with a wagon--
--okay, so the garden, right, and the mulch. I wanted this house because of its garden; I spend a lot of time in it, through much of the year. I grow a lot of food and a lot of flowers, and the air is full of birds all day and fireflies all night. Last year the next-door-neighbor on our left had tree people in to take down a couple of trees, and I looked at the deep dumptruckful of fresh tree chips and I wanted it. I knew that a lot of the time tree services have to pay to dump their wood chips somewhere else, and that they find it tedious. And I thought, Diane would just walk on over there, and say hi-ii  the way that she does, and ask for it. Diane would just smile, and--
I raised my chin, and I walked over, and I gave my winningest smile, and I said Hi-ii, I'm Gen, I live right there in the house with the blue roof, and I was wondering, do you guys want a place to dump all that? and fifteen minutes later I had a couple of tons of premium hardwood chip mulch behind my house. I've been transporting it to various places in the garden since, scoop by scoop with a shovel and my little black wagon, and have thickly covered a couple of hundred feet worth of beds so far. I put twenty wagon-loads up front of the house today, making twenty or thirty feet of new garden bed for native pollinator plants to go into in three weeks, and the whole time I was literally singing with how good my life is, how lucky I am, to have my husband, to have my home, to have a place that has kept me safe, to have learned so many things, to live somewhere that I get to experiment and watch things grow and produce baskets and baskets of food from a handful of seeds. Because of work and lessons and effort and continuing to put one foot ahead of the other, yes, I've worked hard to get here. But ultimately--because of Diane.
I don't really know what good parents are like. Dad is a word that means "hurts you and hurts you and hurts you and then disappears," and Mom is a word that means "will eat your heart from the inside and complain the whole time about the taste." But because of Diane...because of her, I do understand, a little.

What do you think the guys™ do after graduating from Red Fountain???
Like?? "Following my girlfriend around" only makes sense when the Winx are somewhere they can follow, and I can't imagine all of them having "Trophy Husband" as a carrier goal, they can't all be Brandon
What do you think they do?????
They're already way out of their depth in s3 and are only marginally useful in s4 because of a plot convenience. These bitches need lives
Like;
Sky was probably supposed to become some kind of military commander for fighting Eraklyon wars as per his parent's wishes and I think as soon as hes out of his parents grasp he'd ditch that lol. I can see him moving to Domino and helping them move into the new age after being gone for hundreds of years, getting them up to date on the new courtly manners, and all the boring noble stuff that's been smashed into his brain after years and years of tutors. I can see him doing this partly so he doesn't have to deal with the s3 fall out bc lord knows both he and Bloom have avoidance issues a mile wide, partly so he can ingratiate himself to his new in-laws, and partly because his parents planned out his future and he genuinely has no clue what the fuck he's supposed to do with his life now so he's just following the lead of a new royal family. The sheer amount and variety of domestic dragons on Domino is definitely an added bonus (dragons are cool)
Brandon obviously is a-ok being princess Stella of Solaria's Trophy Husband, why do you ask? He'd probably also pick up duty's running the Solarian palace. Hiring people, checking in on certain important duties, helping things get set up for politicians ect in between looking hot for Instagram
Timmy seems like he isn't even supposed to be doing field work. He joined to be an engineer, RF seemed like the best place to do his required basic training at, and just so happened to also be a excellent pilot and keeps!! Getting!! Dragged!! Into these situations that he didn't sign up for. I can see him just going to the engineering job he always wanted to have before the fucking universe started ending once every year. He gets access to all the amazing ships he's always in wanted to get his hands on, and has enough trust from everyone around him because he helped with the defeat of multiple great evils that he can just...steal a good looking ship for the Winx's mission when they need a lift. It's fine. He'll give it back later
Riven would love to go back to field work of like...I'd imagine the job he'd perticually looking for is neutralizing dangerous magical animals?? Like monsters of myth that pop up and attack settlements every now and then. Stop the Kraken/Mastiff/Manticore/whatever nasties obviously live in the magical dimension, but like this guy has fallen off of a tower, gotten murdered, knocked out and thrown into a cage, and then turned into a puppet by an evil bug lady. He doesn't need to be in anymore life threatening situations. I literally cannot see him being happy not doing something tho, so like...go do something that won't get you more injured. Maybe in investigative job or something bc he likes gossip so much idk
Helia could be doing all sorts of things. He could sit down and become a full time artist, filling up galleries. He could stick by Saladin and become a teacher as Saladin is getting pretty old and maybe Helia could take over the school for him. He could work on his magic, I have no clue what he'd do with it but ya know. Maybe an art show but all the art is magic and does weird shit bc Helia has magic and the show weirdly only acknowledges it for his art and I have questions—
Nabu probably becomes a scholar or something. Man's really seems to be into magic mechanics and books. I can see him completely veering off into becoming official court mage after Taboc or whomever steps down. It would be really cool to see magic that doesn't focus on combat or exclusively domestic magic like the Winx primarily use. There has to be magic users who's job it is to stop natural disasters, make it so crops get water, protect magical items, make magical items and other more...chill but just as important magic stuff. I think it would be really cool if Nabu is like fine at combat magic, but his passion lies in more long form magic. Like who ever made that box Valtor stole
I'd love to know what anyone else thinks they do after graduating because "following my girlfriend/fiance/wife around" will not work forever and I want these idiots to have lives

Your Song
Written By: Elton John & Bernie Taupin
Artist: Elton John
Released: 1970
The song was composed and performed by Elton John but the lyrics were written by Bernie Taupin. It originally appeared in his self titled and second album. Elton John hadn’t come out of the closet yet, but Bernie Taupin knew, which is part of the reason why the lyrics avoid using gendered pronouns. In a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone, Elton John said: “What can I say, it’s a perfect song. It gets better every time I sing it. I remember writing it at my parents' apartment in North London, and Bernie giving me the lyrics, sitting down at the piano and looking at it and going, ‘Oh, my God, this is such a great lyric, I can’t fuck this one up.’ It came out in about 20 minutes, and when I was done, I called him in and we both knew. I was 22, and he was 19, and it gave us so much confidence. ‘Empty Sky’ was lovely, but it was very naive. We went on to do more esoteric stuff like ‘Take Me to the Pilot,’ of course, but musically, this was a big step forward. And the older I get, the more I sing these lyrics, and the more they resonate with me.”
[Verse 1] It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside I'm not one of those who can easily hide I don't have much money, but boy if I did I'd buy a big house where we both could live [Verse 2] If I was a sculptor, heh, but then again, no Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do My gift is my song and this one's for you [Chorus] And you can tell everybody this is your song It may be quite simple but now that it's done I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world [Verse 3] I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss Well, a few of the verses, well, they've got me quite cross But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song It's for people like you that keep it turned on [Verse 4] So excuse me forgetting, but these things I do You see, I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue Anyway, the thing is, what I really mean Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen [Chorus] And you can tell everybody this is your song It may be quite simple but now that it's done I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world [Outro] I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world

She Will Be Loved
Written By: Adam Levine & James Valentine
Artist: Maroon 5
Released: 2002
“She Will Be Loved” is the third single released from the band’s 2002 debut album, Songs About Jane. The song peaked at number five in the US (becoming their second top ten there), number four in the United Kingdom and number one in Australia (for five consecutive weeks). As of June 2014, the song has sold more than three million copies in the United States.
[Verse 1] Beauty queen of only eighteen She had some trouble with herself He was always there to help her She always belonged to someone else [Pre-Chorus] I drove for miles and miles And wound up at your door I've had you so many times But somehow, I want more [Chorus] I don't mind spending every day Out on your corner in the pouring rain Look for the girl with the broken smile Ask her if she wants to stay a while [Post-Chorus] And she will be loved And she will be loved [Verse 2] Tap on my window, knock on my door, I Want to make you feel beautiful I know I tend to get so insecure Doesn't matter anymore [Pre-Chorus] It's not always rainbows and butterflies It's compromise that moves us along, yeah My heart is full and my door's always open You come any time you want, yeah [Chorus] I don't mind spending every day Out on your corner in the pouring rain Look for the girl with the broken smile Ask her if she wants to stay a while [Post-Chorus] And she will be loved And she will be loved And she will be loved And she will be loved [Bridge] I know where you hide Alone in your car Know all of the things that make you who you are I know that goodbye means nothing at all Comes back and makes me catch her Every time she falls, yeah [Pre-Chorus] Tap on my window, knock on my door, I Want to make you feel beautiful [Chorus] I don't mind spending every day Out on your corner in the pouring rain, oh Look for the girl with the broken smile Ask her if she wants to stay a while [Post-Chorus] And she will be loved And she will be loved And she will be loved (Please don't try so hard to say goodbye) And she will be loved [Outro] Please don't try so hard to say goodbye (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, ooh) Please don't try so hard to say goodbye (I don't mind spending every day, ooh) (Out on your corner in the pouring rain) Please don't try so hard to say goodbye

I could be wrong but I don't think this whole "sexy, making out, grinding dancing" on an MV is Jungkook's thing. Even if Sohee ends up being indeed casted in his MV, I still don't think he'd go crazy like that. I know kpop is becoming a little bolder, a little unapologetic, but still, I don't think Jungkook is that way at all, like, it just doesn't sound like him.
Maybe she could be casted to tell a story? A love story with another actor, a mini action skit (that would be cool, imagine them being agents and shooting shit?) Like many western artists do with their mvs. Or just something very tame with Jungkook.
But, at the end of the day its all just rumors. People claim their staff were seen together but they weren't at all. Their staff coincidentally posted a photo of palm trees and in-n-out burger. Can it mean something? Yeah, it can, because one picture was two guys standing in front of an airstream with palm trees behind, and the other picture from the other staff is a picture of the sky and the palm tree, but in the corner there's a round, white "building" that's sort of rounded and technically could be the same airstream. But it's also LA. It's full of palm trees and I'd also take pictures of them if I was there. I heard that in-n-out is quite popular, too?
Now, about the dating rumors, I think that's a reach. I saw on twitter this person saying that it's not the first time Sohee and Jungkook went to LA at the same time, and that the last time Jungkook went to LA, she also did. But I never heard anything about it.
Yes, they came back to Korea on the same day. Not the same hour, though.
Hello anon,
Yeah, there are so many possibilities!
And it's one thing to speculate about her involvement, if any, in Jk's project but to go as far as to say they are dating? That's another level that also doesn't have actual facts to back it up.
You all...but there are tons of in and outs and palm trees and white buildings in California lol like every corner.
I don't listen to people on twitter. That place is toxic to me.
Thanks for sharing.

The Big Day
It was foretold that I would eventually play my original music in front of people. That I would make a difference and manage to help as many other artists along the way as possible. That one day I could make a living doing something I loved to do, and that together we would ascend to the skies and commit arson to spite those who bought their way into heaven.
Now in the early morning darkness I ponder how we got here. From 14 to 19, 5 years. Over 2000 youtube uploads. Hundreds of hours writing, preforming, practising, learning learning learning... 3 albums of original music. Lots of waiting and planning.
Now here I am at what appears to be the beginning of the next chapter, and I cannot thank you enough.
For anyone who is coming (and also for posterity since I don't know how much of this I'll be able to record) the setlist is as follows:
Alex G - Soaker Were You Dropped on the Head Paper Skies Alex G - Nintendo 64 Dogs The Book was Better The Front Bottoms - Twin Sized Mattress
It'll be about 27 minutes long. Every other band playing is amazing. And my heart is full. I'm incredibly hopeful, which was not really the case only half a year ago. So again, thank you.
There is a little demon that sits on my shoulder and wakes me up each night with crazy ideas. It was fortold that I could do the things I tried to do if I went after them against all odds. Despite the many people who told me it was not possible... In fact, maybe to spite those people I have pushed onwards all this time. And we're only just getting started.
But I can't tell you how incredible it is to be able to put time and immense effort into something and then see it pay off. I've spent a lot of time working towards something that always seemed entirely out of range or reach, like building a tower to the sky. Nimrod can suck it:)
Tumblr media
LOOK AT THESE!! I cannot believe it. We have CDs of the shitty albums I made. I'm going to lose my mind.
I'm going to be trying something new at the show for the song The Book was Better. It'll either be really cool or incredibly lame, but no matter what it will be invaluable to learn from.
I'm a bit nervous as I'm just... Me. Every other act is a seasoned full band, and I'm incredibly excited to see them preform tonight. But I will do my best with naught but an acoustic guitar and a hope.
There is not much else left to say. Just wanted to get it down on digital paper, thanks for reading!! It was fortold that I could make "it". Whatever the strange "it" might be. I used to think if one person listen to my music and found something useful in it the way I found catharsis writing it, my life would be fulfilled. I think I was right.
But who is this prophet? Who is the one that fortold all this insane nonsense? It was I you fool. And my point in saying this is, stop waiting for a guide to lead you by the hand to a world you want. Become your own sacrifice. You can make "it". We all will make it. See you tonight (and if not, see you in the next video!!).
Also, tiny desk contest entry just got accepted:) (another thing I'd greatly encourage any and all artists who make music to submit to every year)

it's september again which means everyone is going back to their thing and i am not and it makes me feel so awful and empty and useless
boyy don't i feel the same way haha
first, sorry you feel that way, it absolutely sucks, i'm sending you hugs <3 second, i think you (and i) could do something about it!
i read a post yesterday about the two types of satisfaction which are the momentary instant one and the one that takes long term commitment. you really will struggle feeling satisfied if you only ever seek instant gratification and pleasure, when you feel the second type of satisfaction is missing you'll try to fill in that hole with the first type and therefore feel even worse afterwards. i think it's very important to find something to work on. a project 💫you can look at it as an experiment - you are the scientist and your improvement is the goal! work on it, try what works and what doesn't and keep it going till you find you've got it!
it doesn't have to be getting a job or getting accepted into uni. it can be as simple as getting a hobby. or creating a routine to follow daily. it sounds a bit silly, how would for example taking a walk daily make me feel like i have more purpose? but trust me it helps. you have something to look forward to. something to commit to. a responsibility towards not only yourself but the habit itself to keep it up, to fulfill your duty of completing a task. it's one of those things the execution of which feels dreadful on certain days but pushing through makes you learn something about yourself - you can do it. "i can't possibly do it" guess what? you can!! you're absolutely capable!!!
take up a hobby - you can try learning a language, there are so many resources out there and it can be a whole lot of fun. you don't have to do it with the goal of becoming fluent in mind - just seeing the language reveal itself before you slowly can make you so happy, honestly.
get yourself a plant - i'd recommend something that dies hard like a cactus. even better - plant it yourself. keep a little record of its development. get it a cute pot or decorate one yourself. pick a name if you want to.
get out - i cannot stress this enough, go outsideee, it doesn't have to be far from your home, just somewhere with sky above you and ground below you. move around and ditch the internet for a while. music is good but sounds of nature or the city are underappreciated.
if you can, try anything artistic - scribbling on napkins is good, trying a new recipe is good, crochet, fingerpainting, singing, dancing, whatever gets those emotions OUT in a creative healthy way - do it.
feeling good about yourself comes from doing things and seeing results for the most part. just pick up a thing, however small and meaningless it may seem, and attempt nurturing it into a habit and something as natural as drinking water when thirsty. whatever it is, you will see rsults if you keep at it. and the time will pass anyway <3

Oh god I don't know if I can catch everything up to speed, but I've changed a lottttt. I go to a community school transition program now to get me back into school. Actually one of my teachers was in Phantom Sydney, and as someone who loves POTO it's always so great to hear his stories. Currently, my celebrity crush is Jimmi Simpson; he's just so charming, funny, he has this air about him that's so likeable. He has such a nice sounding voice, perfect lips (his upper lip is bigger than his lower lip! How cool is that. I think that's such an attractive feature...), the most beautiful nose (I just love love LOVEEE medium-big upturned noses. Upturned noses in general, the best nose on a man.), he's very talented as an actor and has been in some great shows (I actually first started loving him in 2022, when I watched USS Callister in Black Mirror. Actually that's what reignited my crush on him recently with its rewatch!) his gorgeous hair, his beautiful beautiful blue eyes and the fact that he listens to SMOG!!!!! I found out in an article, and honestly that's so good. I'm a fan of Bill Callahan and knowing he listens to Smog is a win for me. I don't know if he still does, but in the article he said he did. He also wears glasses! Gosh, I could go on all day but I don't want to waste your time. Currently my top artists are Jack Ladder, PJ Harvey, John Cale, Roxy Music, Bill Callahan, Scott Walker, David Sylvian, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (Yes I know, Nick Cave and PJ Harvey, scandalous) and The Blue Nile. But I think spotify stats is a bit off on the ranking. Jack Ladder I have definitely been listening to most; I am OBSESSED with the song Susan. I actually found it around a year ago and loved it, but then in May started listening again and could not stop. It's actually become my top song of all time on spotify. That's how much I listen to it, and it never gets old. Cold Feet is such a nostalgic song too, it makes me feel some things. Its such a night song, I want to drive with it through the cool air near nature and sky at autumn/winters night with my lover in the car. If only I had a lover, I would cherish him completely. And as I said I've been listening to Bill Callahan, The Wind And The Dove is stuck in my head and all you'd hear if you stepped into my mind would be "I am a child of linger on, I peer through the window gone" just repeating and repeating on the loud speaker at mind terminal. I wonder if I was there, what plane would I catch. There would be so many to choose. Obviously, I get free access as the owner of the land, but my mind is wild and free and expands to many different places with my millions of thoughts, ideas, aspirations, feelings, interests, etc. I could take a world tour and reflect on all of this. I can imagine the floors as warm and my eyes calm and cool, steady guided to reflection plane. I just love that its Winter now by the way, I love all the months, Winter has its special charm. I'd always want to make love in a field near the mountains at night time during winter, with the cool breeze on me. I really do love nature. I love the bush, I love the mountains and towering trees in Washington and Appalachia, the beauty of the Blue Mountains, of course Austria and Switzerland and China is so beautiful too. I could go on and on. Most importantly, I love the mountains, hills, fields, trees, and the country. I also like lakes if they're surrounded by trees like in coming of age films. Speaking of film, I want to watch Wristcutters: A Love Story. It's next on my list. I might as well go, its getting late at 1am. My eyes hurt and I need glasses. I'm glad I get to post this, I'll probably read back on it later.
