hii!
this blog is the tgcf counterpart to @svsss-fanon-exposed and @mdzs-fanon-exposed :3. both those blogs are the inspiration for this one. this blog, like the others, is made to differentiate tgcf fanon from canon. i haven't seen as many fanon things being accepted as canon in the tgcf fandom, but we might as well make the counterpart!
i will post once or twice a week, and i will be citing the seven-seas translations as my source, but i may reference the donghua/manhua at points. a list of topics i have covered is under the cut :3
i am a professionally obsessed with tgcf -- i have read the novels/watched the donghua multiple times -- so send me asks! it can be anything, as long as its related to tgcf. maybe its something you've seen come up a lot but you aren't sure if its canon, or you just want to see how canon your headcanon is.
i speak minimal chinese, so i sadly cannot reference the original novels very often. i cannot talk about chinese culture as well, as i am unfamiliar with it.
please keep in mind that this is for fun! ill try an answer as many asks as possible, however it probably wont be consistent. i will also try my best to keep a neutral standpoint on everything i talk about as well. just because something isn't canon doesn't mean you can't like it!
Edit: Please note that while I try to differentiate canon from fanon, there is no denying I can be wrong! I would be more surprised if I was always right! And I haven't seen it happen with this blog, but please don't think that every single thing from here is correct. I try my best, but do not take what I say as purely correct. Any work of literature is going to have some level of nuance and many different interpretations will exist. Plus, the EN versions are translated, so some meaning will be lost. And I try not to let my biases get in the way, but they are still there. It is nearly impossible to be completely neutral.
The rating system! I'm using the same one as @svsss-fanon-exposed
CANON: this is supported by the text, and most likely explicitly stated. if you're trying to be as canon-compliant as possible, this rating is for you.
FANON – SUPPORTED: not directly stated in canon, but it's a very likely interpretation! most likely was hinted at or a reasonable conclusion to come to from the novel.
FANON – NEUTRAL: who knows if this is canon or not. most likely wasn't covered in the text, or there isn't enough evidence to swing one way or the other.
FANON – UNSUPPORTED: not directly stated in canon, but it's a very unlikely interpretation. most likely was a reasonable conclusion to come to from the novel.
FANON – CONFLICTING: this idea directly contradicts something stated in the text. if you want to stay as canon-compliant as possible, this rating is not for you.
and lastly, please add onto my posts with more evidence! i'll try to find as much as possible but there is always a chance i missed something.
stuff i've talked about:
CANON
TBA
FANON - SUPPORTED
Qi Rong Has Green Eyes
FANON - NEUTRAL
Mu Qing is a Medic
FANON - UNSUPPORTED
Xie Lian Doesn't Know His Food is Bad
Quan Yizhen Has Tassel Earrings
FANON - CONFLICTING

Look, some would see it as a demotion for you. You're back with your training officer. Others might read…something else into it. W-Why? Because I'm a girl and you're a boy? A very handsome boy. Oh, gag.
| ANATOMY OF A SCENE - CHENFORD EDITION 4.03 - In the Line of Fire
The married energy that oozes from this scene is exquisite. The bickering… the teasing… the indirect reference to Kojo via Lucy's Tshirt 'tell your dog I said hi', something that couldn't be more apt considering their history… Their dynamic is subtly shifting, with Tim becoming more playful and gentle with Lucy, now that she's no longer his rookie… after their sizzling moment at his place… And in many ways, this explains why Lucy was genuinely hurt when Tim didn't pick her to be his aide… Why she is looking for him at the end of their shift to confront him.
The way she appears a bit hesitant, watching him from afar at first, before soldiering on and going to his desk… Sassing him a little in the process. And to be fair, she has every right to be smug : Tim really played himself when he decided to pick Smitty for the job. She didn't even need to sabotage him. But all of this ribbing doesn't hide the pang at not being chosen by Tim, especially since she is aware that Grey himself recommended her. And the irony is that without Nolan's meddling, she may not have thought twice about it. Or rather, not taken it as personally. He unintentionally created an expectation, that transformed into doubts and question marks when Tim chose someone else for the job. What makes it worse is the timing : this takes place only a few months after her parents made it clear that they weren't supporting her career… after Jackson's death, her biggest source of support, besides Tim (and Nyla). So his decision to purposely side her cut deep, especially since she doesn't know why. She is still in a vulnerable and sensitive place, as the previous episode demonstrated. It was therefore important to have Tim immediately shares his reasoning. How he was essentially thinking of her, of her career and how it might be perceived by the rest of the station or their superiors. He was simply trying to protect her, as always. That said, this is very interesting that he was thinking of the optics so much, of how some might read more into their partnership. Because I seriously doubt that this is something he would have normally cared about. And this hints at how their moments at Angela's ill-fated wedding and at his place are already changing their relationship, their perception of each other, even if they're not fully aware of this.
Lucy goes from looking fairly confused at first when Tim explains himself to completely amused, and a bit touched by his chivalry - or his 'old-school code of honor'. The way she teases him mercilessly with her very sarcastic 'because I'm a girl and you're a boy?' is priceless… And still shows a bit of relief that this was his only reason. That he didn't suddenly stop believing in her. His deadpan answer 'a very handsome boy' is hilarious… But it also shows a bit of insecurity here : between his jealousy at Emmett's 'hunkiness' and his need to emphasise Ashley's compliment 'the hottest' later, his comment adds another layer… As if someone needs the reassurance that Lucy finds him attractive. His little laugh when she pretends to gag makes this exchange even better. Just like with the baby boots prank, he can no longer hide his amusement at her antics - only, this time, she can actually see it. Another hint at their changing dynamic.
I love how Lucy refuses to let what others might think dictate what she should do… This is such an empowering moment for her. One that underlines her growth, from her early days on the job. And it goes back to what Tim told her on her last day as a trainee : 'you don't let anyone ever tell you you can't do something. Not even me'. She took those words to heart and again, in light of her relationship (or lack thereof) with her parents, this is all the more important. She is getting so much more confident and it is delightful to watch. Her argument that being an aide would benefit her career is quite interesting too, since, so far, we have yet to see its impact. At least, a direct one, because odds are, she would still have been offered the spot to UC Academy and gotten the tap for the detective's exam regardless. Maybe there will be a reference when promotion time comes (next season, right?!). Not only that, but Tim might have been onto something as well : this could be used as an ammunition against her, now that they're in a romantic relationship. We know that most of the officers respect her, as established when she acted as Watch-Commander temporarily. But there's still the threat of Primm looming over her. Or it could have just been a throwaway line, her way to convince herself that this was why she wanted the job. The benefits for her were on her mind, obviously, but maybe there was a part of her that was simply looking for an excuse to ride with Tim again. Because her world just turned upside down with Jackson's death, something she is still reeling from : riding with Tim provides a source of comfort, of familiarity… of steadiness. And also because she misses Tim.
This brings us to the crux of the matter : both want to ride again with the other… But both are too stubborn to admit they miss their time together. To be the first one to cave and ask. They're both a bit defensive, afraid of being rejected, feeling vulnerable almost… The way she mirrors his pose, crossing her arms just like he does, bouncing on her feet… A gesture they both do right before asking the other to concede they want to ride together again… A rather emotionally charged question. And this is a bit ironic that after claiming many times that they wouldn't miss being partners (until their last day), this is where they are a few months later. Tim is the first one to fold, trying to appear nonchalant, but his softness says otherwise. And Lucy looks a bit surprised at first, that he gave up so easily, but grateful nonetheless.
This is a fitting follow-up to Tim's sergeant storyline as well : Lucy helped him get that promotion, recording audiobooks for him… already acting as an aide in a way. Now she gets to do it in an official capacity. They're both so soft at the end, when she thanks him… Before sassing him one more time and tease him… Because she can. 'A lack of fear of [his] authority' indeed.

13, 14, 22 !
13. what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
idk if it is quote unquote common but @ohtemporas told me to check for filler words to make my prose stronger one (1) time and now i do this religiously. i don't cut everything but it does make me think about how im using words like just and a little and if it’s really conveying some waffling (or makes the sentence funny) or if it's a crutch!
14. how do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?
much like a sex scene, for a lot of my big emotional scenes i know what the goal is (they're mad at each other! they've realized deeper feelings! parent/child bonding! whatever!) and it's a question of landing the plane. i do a lot of dialogue rehearsing before i ever get to the big moments so that helps me prepare how i want a conversation to go? it is a little harder bc i do default to like. description of physicality and there's only so much of that you can do before being repetitive lmao (yes this is reminding me of another thing to add to the editing pile) but mostly it's "what is the end point -- what words get me there."
i DO find it actually awful to write arguments and such bc i hate arguing and conflict and even writing it for my own guys can make me feel ill sometimes but im improving at that and being less of a weenie about it i think! i managed a whole MEAN argument in the current wip in one sitting with minimal cringing! it's never drawn from my life so to speak but the FEELING of it is so then like. EYE feel kinda sick and upset and generally have to take a little break before getting to the aftermath
22. Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)
i answered previously but another thing i don't reaaaaally vibe with is horror? im really not a pure horror girl and i think it would take a particular source material (like iwtv) for me to work within that genre -- i doubt i'll write a horror hockey fic for example. a lot of what im willing to write depends on how amenable the source is for it! i also don't love fic where cheating is a major theme.

I want to start adding text descriptions to stuff i reblog, do you have any advice? is there a guide or something you use, the style of your IDs is very nice.
hey! thats great that you want to start writing IDs. I've reblogged guides before and ill tag this post with the tag they're in (image descriptions) so its easy to browse!
in addition to those other resources, here's some guidelines i personally keep in mind, & what i structure different IDs like.
for text transcripts: source & type of image, author, date if possible. here are some pretend/template IDs:
ID. a twitter screenshot from user @.[username] dated [date] that reads: "[tweet]." End ID.
i put the period after the @ symbol so it doesnt try to tag a nonexistent (or unrelated) user on this site, and a screenreader will just pause there briefly.
ID. a photo of a page from the book [name] by [author]. text reads: [transcript]. End ID.
if the OP cited the author/book/source, you can just do "Transcript: [text]. End transcript."
for actual images:
type of image is really important!
photograph, edited photograph, reaction image, edited reaction image, painting, digital painting, digital drawing, etc. you should always put what kind of image it is.
keep in mind the purpose of the image!
if its an art piece or a photo of one, its good to describe the medium, style, colors, and subject.
if it's a reaction image or other meme, you don't have to describe the surroundings in loving detail. the "point" of the image is enough.
if its a photograph, it might also be an art piece, or from the news, or someone sharing their pet. the amount and kind of detail again depends on the point of the image.
don't make judgements or assumptions!
dont describe things as badly drawn or badly photographed- and on the flip side, dont describe things as cute or beautiful. describe whats in the image, not how it makes you feel. if you love a certain part of how a photograph is framed, or how the light is painted in a piece of art, say that specifically. "beautiful" means nothing! do you mean realistic? vibrantly colored? "cute" means nothing! do you mean in a cartoony style? or that the subject matter is a cat, which many people find cute? be specific!
dont make statements about the gender or race of the people in the photo or art piece, especially if it's real people (like a news photo) unless you know those things as a fact (celebrities, fictional characters, people you know personally, people where it is mentioned in the article the photo is from). you can just describe things like hair length, skin tone, etc. exceptions to this rule imo are stock photos- eg if im captioning my favorite stock photo of all time, cyber woman with corn, i am going to describe it as "a stock photo of a white woman in a futuristic silver and black wraparound visor, wearing a silver bodysuit and cradling an ear of corn near her face and smiling slightly."
here are some example descriptions, all from images i have on my phone.
ID. a photo of two cats laying head to head on someones outstretched legs, which are under a blanket. one cat is an orange tabby, and the other is a gray and white splotched tabby. End ID.
the point of this image is my cats- im not going to spend time describing the blanket, the couch, the stuff you can see in the background, bc it's not relevant to the image, and adds nothing.
ID. a photo taken through a rainy window at twilight, with the camera focused on the raindrops on the glass, so the lights in the houses across the street are out of focus. the lights reflect on the wet pavement in a warm yellow glow. End ID.
i took this the other night bc i thought it looked cool how blurry it was- id consider this more of an "art" photo, so im describing the aspects of the framing etc that make it that- i wasnt just trying to show how rainy it was, but to take a photo in an interesting way, so those traits are "worth" describing.
ID. a photo of an acrylic painting done on a cardboard packing envelope of a city street at sunset, all the building windows reflecting gold. there are purple fluffy clouds in the sky, lit from below with peach and gold. the USPS tracking number barcode is still visible in the gap between houses at the end of the street. the brush strokes are very visible, the perspective is wonky, and the orange underpainting is visible at the edges. End ID.
this is a new ID for something i painted and already posted and i dont feel like getting the old ID. medium, style, and specific details i think are important are included. the perspective being wonky is a bit of a value judgement i wouldn't make about Other people's art, but it's my own and i think its an important detail so!
ID. an edited catcrumb comic, showing a simple mspaint illustration of a cat happily sorting things into piles with the caption, "sort sort. i love to arbitrarily sort." the cat has been colored in gray and its ears have been colored like homestuck troll horns, and the sorting piles replaced with some classpect symbols. End ID.
this is a good example of a edited image- its important to give (to some degree) a sense of what the original image was, say that its edited, and describe the changes. i dont need to list the classpect symbols i put on there, bc its not relevant to the message of the image- it would do nothing but make the ID longer.
oh- and to cap off the post- here is cyber woman with corn:
ID. a stock photo of a white woman in a futuristic silver and black wraparound visor, wearing a silver bodysuit and cradling an ear of corn near her face and smiling slightly. End ID.

dc superhero girls headcanons
hey there if you found this post, that must you really like this show and i do to
i have hyper fixated and maladaptive dreaming about this show since it came out (so like 4 years i need a life lol) so i have a lot of headcanons but some of them are so wacked that they dont make sense, so i will only put the ones that make sense and ill keep adding as time goes on, oh, and another thing to note is that i know nothing about the dc universe other than this show so idk
(also if you dont know what a headcanon is, its like something about a show or a movie or a book is canon or confirmed in your head but not in the actual show or movie or book or whatever, hope that makes sense)
~ kara is an alien (which makes sense cuz she is from another planet so she technically is)
~ since kara is from another planet, english probably doesnt exist there and the language of her planet probably different from all the other languages on earth so it would make it really hard for her to learn english, what im basically saying is that english isnt her first language
~ kara probably got some sort of ptsd from the hole she was stuck in for a bunch of years or what ever it was i think its the phantom zone but idk anything about that sooo, and on top of that she lost her mother and her home so that would make a source of her anger and emotional problems
welp these are the only ones that i have thought about and/or fucked or not relevant or about people gender and sexuality wise but its not my job to label people thats their job but i could add those idk (but ignore the label i just put on kara about her mental state shhh its an idea remember shhhh)
edit 2
ok i thought of more shit
also a lot of these are going to be about kara because shes the one i decided to latch onto 4 years ago so yeah
~ i find it really weird that the names on kryton are similar to the names on earth cuz like i said they are different planets so things would be totally different like the language and stuff, but for some reason the names are very english like kara, clark, laura (whatever the aunts name is) but names like zod and non arent traditional english names. so my headcanon is that kara and her cousin either chose or were given those names to be normal ig
~ zees mother probably cared about her a lot and she probably had a reason for leaving but her father keeps its from her
edit 3
i forgot to finish last edit oops
~ karen is more angst than she makes it out to be and kara is more sweet and innocent than she makes it out to be
~ being queer on kryton is like totally normalized
~ kara find babs absolutely beautiful, like not shes attracted to her or has a crush on her or anything, she just finds her extremely aesthetically pleasing to look at (no i dont ship these two, thats fine if you do tho)
~ kara is kinda the mom friend to garth, karen, and babs
~ kara doesnt know how old she is or when her birthday is cuz all planets rotate and revolve differently so i would think that years would be different there, i would think she is probably around 16 to 19, also wouldnt she be like older is she didnt go to the hole or whatever, idk the whole story about that
~ diana once asked kara to teach her krytonian so that kara would have someone to talk to (which is so sweet when i think about it), but its like really hard and it took kara forever to learn english and she is still learning it, but kara loved the offer
~ diana speaks a lot of languages (which im pretty sure is canon), she speaks greek (cuz shes from there), english (you know), (these are the most spoken languages of the world, according to google) mandarin chinese, hindi, spanish, french, arabic, russian, portuguese, german, hebrew, latin, and she is learning japanese so she can talk to tatsu (damn girl idk how she does it, miss try hard)
edit 4
so i know its been a while cuz ive been lazy lol
i also only have a few today
~ kara actually has a good singing voice, but she never portrays it
~ kara is also very musically talented and dabbles in many musical instruments
~ also kara is much more intelligent than she portrays, she just sucks at english and earth stuff (idk if i said this before)

Recently Viewed: The Timekeepers of Eternity
[The following review contains MAJOR SPOILERS; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!]
With The Timekeepers of Eternity, Aristotelis Maragkos accomplishes the impossible: he makes Tom Holland’s The Langoliers watchable.
The experiment is far from perfect, of course; the raw footage is, after all, so fundamentally flawed that no amount of re-editing, remixing, and recontextualization can totally “fix” it (the dialogue, for example, remains infuriatingly nonsensical, plagued by constant inconsistencies, contradictions, and inorganic leaps in logic). Still, by condensing the multi-episode miniseries—a format that is, in my opinion, inherently ill-suited to sustaining a narrative that features only two locations populated by roughly a dozen people—into a comparatively lean hour-long film, Maragkos at the very least addresses the source material’s clunky pacing, trimming a lot of excess fat and bloat.
Don’t get me wrong: I like rich, well-developed characters as much as the next viewer. The meat of this particular conflict, however, lies not in complex interpersonal relationships, but in the novel premise: our protagonists (a ragtag group of airline passengers) find themselves inexplicably stranded in an empty “past” that is rapidly vanishing beneath their feet, and must escape before they are devoured by the metaphysical forces that govern the universe. Although this dilemma is more than substantial enough to keep the audience invested in the action, the ‘95 cut of The Langoliers includes an overabundance of extraneous melodrama that stretches the otherwise straightforward plot to its breaking point, resulting in a severe lack of urgency. The Timekeepers of Eternity, on the other hand, omits nearly every detail that isn’t immediately relevant to the central concept, thus crafting a more economical, suspenseful experience.
But the movie’s remarkable metamorphosis is not merely structural; Maragkos remixes even the visual style. While The Langoliers’ cinematography was perfectly serviceable, it was also rather unambitious and uninspired, betraying its made-for-TV budget. The Timekeepers of Eternity’s shift to black-and-white adds depth and texture to the compositions, evoking the moody, haunting atmosphere of The Twilight Zone. The aesthetic alterations don’t stop with the color palette, either: Maragkos utilizes a variety of digital effects and filters in an effort to depict the story’s somewhat abstract, unconventional approach to “time travel” in literal, concrete terms. The image frequently warps and distorts, fragments and fractures, crumples and tears. Certain scenes are repeated in quick succession; others are truncated or overlap with concurrent events. Beyond contributing to the surreal tone, these expressionistic flourishes are also thematically appropriate, reinforcing the idea that the fragile fabric of reality itself is gradually unraveling around our hapless heroes.
Maragkos’ bold choices aren’t always beneficial; his revised ending is especially egregious, repurposing the original version’s final complication into a cruel, dark twist—an abruptly and arbitrarily nihilistic conclusion that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Nevertheless, the project is ultimately a resounding triumph, redefining the meaning of the term “transformative work.” The Timekeepers of Eternity is no shallow parody—a fan trailer that reimagines Ace Ventura as a tense thriller, or audio clips from Sonic the Hedgehog chopped up and reassembled to make Doctor Robotnik say dirty words; on the contrary, it’s a charmingly sincere reinterpretation (and rehabilitation) of an old, forgotten Stephen King adaptation that is, in retrospect, genuinely deserving of reevaluation. It is, in conclusion, innovative, audacious, and absolutely revolutionary.

Fun fact about ADHD with this I found out due to an incident that landed me in the hospital: we are naturally very low on B12 vitamins and it can actually make our memories worse. It can also lead to neurological problems. We have a genetic lack of the stuff. I had a severe deficiency of it that left me loosing an entire 8 days. Started taking it and WOO BOY I can remember what I had for dinner yesterday. Had a conversation recently where I only forgot one word.
If you’re ADHD and craving chicken constantly and can’t handle other meats or feel sick after red meat/IBS symptoms: get B12. Chicken has it. You need it. Vegan alternatives are bananas, blueberries, oranges, some mushrooms, and beetroot. Several water flavorings you can find that have B12 on it and are usually organically sourced. The water is easier for me as I don’t have to remember to take a pill every morning. You need a lot of B12 on the daily so it’s hard to overdose on the vitamin.
B12 is important for breaking down proteins. If you don’t have it, those proteins bind to your nerves and can cause nerve damage and brain damage in later stages. I do not have constant access to a psychiatrist for my ADHD management so I did not find this out until it landed me in the hospital. I lost 8 days total of memory (of which ADHD drink hoard in my bed turned out to save my life as I couldn’t move. All I know is that I was found and we have no idea what happened during those 8 days outside of me not being able to move much for a while and that I kept myself barely hydrated enough not to die from dehydration) and developed numbness in one foot. All because I lacked B12. (I’m better now dw, but recovering from it has been far longer than it took for it to ravage my brain once I hit the point of no return. Recovery process for any vitamin deficiency that causes injury and illness averages at 6 months.)
B12 deficiency has also been linked to worsening mental states and can actually cause neurotypical people to act like Karens and develop narcissistic tendencies. Especially if it’s sudden and out of nowhere.
Short version to say: keep yourself safe and healthy. Figure out if your memory issues are from a vitamin deficiency that affects neurodivergents the most or if it’s from your own brand of brain spiciness. B12 isn’t the only vitamin that can do all this. I’m just stating from my own personal experience and being told B12 is most likely for neurodivergents.
I’ll add links and resources a little later in the replies/edit/reblog this when it’s not 2am in the morning. I am not a doctor just spreading my knowledge due to what happened to me and stating what to keep an eye out for as it appeared in me.
There are four stages. I made it to Stage 3. It can take years or months to reach this point.
Symptoms can include:
-Memory loss
-Brain fog/ forgetfulness
-Confusion
-New audio processing issues (like being able to hear something fine but you can’t understand what is being said. A friend described it as “dyslexia but for hearing” and I feel it fits.)
-Inability to continue thought or topic
-IBS-like symptoms when eating protein rich foods
-Migraines and headaches (mine were behind my eyes)
-Trouble walking (chronic clumsiness)
-Nausea
-Increased heart rate
-Depression
-Sudden change in mental state
-Mental impairment
-Permanent neurological damage
-Nerve damage
-Fibromyalgia-like symptoms (especially if your doc says “it’s like fibromyalgia but you’re not testing positive for it.” This was a direct quote for me.)
-Numbness in toes and fingers
-Tinnitus
-Joint pain
-Insomnia
-“Visible” heartbeat between your thumb and forefinger, may move your thumb in time to your heartbeat (left hand)
-Hypo/hyperthyroid-like symptoms (especially if you have the symptoms but do not test positive for it.)
-Overheat easily (mine included little to no sweat but no blocked pores or dehydration)
-Worsening vision
-AFAB: Ovarian cysts/worsening cramps/new fainting spells/loss of libido
-AFAB: Endometriosis is not confirmed to be linked officially but I’m mentioning here because it developed for me during the stages I had
-AMAB: Loss of libido/erectyle dysfunction/testicular discomfort/one doc mentioned taint cramps when they were discussing how B12 can affect people with me and I want to let you know that one sent me for a loop
This isn’t all of them, and you may not have all of them, but they’re major tells for it /more can develop over time and ones that are common for neurodivergent people. Especially if they’re in tandem with each other. The noticeable symptoms started out as the similarities to hypothyroidism for me then went into fibromyalgia-like. I thought the memory loss stuff was normal for ADHD but not the level it actually was. Hope this helps!
the curse of adhd:
i will remember with absolute clarity, when the thought strikes me that i have a text to send someone, that this is the fourth time in three days i've attempted to send this specific text
i will forget, in the time it takes me to pick up my phone, that i picked it up intending to send a text

🍁 uhhhhh, you guys can call me Gromit. that's a good-enough fake-name lol i go by they/them pronouns, i am confirmed to be over 18 years old, and that's all my info y'all get ✌️
🍁 i didn't make most of this. or any of it, really. (sometimes, i edit; but i dont consider my edits to be "i made this" bc... i didnt make the core thing i am editing) so, anything you wanna use? no need to credit me. i'd like to see what you make using it, for shits and giggles, but that's not mandatory
🍁 i try to post credit to "the little guys" i make stuff from whenever i can figure out the source
➥ some of this stuff i find second- or third-hand where i have no clue who the "little guy" that made this is; feel free to reblog to add the applicable credit, and (after i do some fact-checking, bc some people online ✨️lie✨️) then i will reblog what you said + alter the original post to now have credit. but multi-million/billion-companies, celebrities, etc?? idgaf, you can VERY easily find out who the source
🍁 most things are on a queue
🍁 i don't do requests, sorry
🍁 here's how you can make your own edits tho??
🍁 some things i edited to have captions (#my edit + #captioned); others, already had captions (just #captioned); only a few videos don't have captions (#uncaptioned)
🍁 i tag based on what my Reactions Folder's sub-folders were. thats how i organize. idc about attention; meaning, 99% of the time, idc about tagging "correctly", so it crops up under the "correct" "tumblr tag-pages"-or-whatever-theyre-called
🍁 organizational tags i use below "read more". below that are some statements too
➥ said statements table-of-contents: about helping me credit the little guys [[titled: "sources psa"]] 🍁 my opinions on when to credit an editor and whatnot, and when i will/won't credit another editor (which does explain why idgaf about y'all not crediting me when i do edits lmao) [[titled: "a potential controversy"]] 🍁

expect these to be the least consistent thing i do, ever, but sure, ill add them sometimes, i guess, when i remember/know who the source is. more likely the aforementioned "little guys" than anybody else tho, ngl. but said little guys will get credit either within the post and/or within the image/video itself; and if i forget to also tag said credit, i think that's fine. i'll still try to do it, even though i know ill be inconsistent and forgetful the little guys and big guys, but also shhhhhhh if i forget. i'm doing my best, just let my mistakes go, let it be inconsistent
➥ but also do feel free to reblog the post (if it's an aforementioned "little guy" ESPECIALLY) and help source credit! (➡ note, for said lil guys, i will fact-check at MY leisure, assuming i see your reblog notif to begin with. and if i see that your sourcing is correct: ill reblog your addition AND edit the og post. just. do me the common decency of not insulting me for forgetting to source/not knowing who to source, whichever lol
bc i do have understandable reasons for not always knowing who to source?? bc a lot of these are videos i got from tiktok accounts, tumblr posts, and other websites where the "op" of said item?? was NOT the actual original poster, and did not source the people/person/etc within the item. ans now idk who to credit too lmao rip
● which, for artists and editors-whose-edits-are-NOT-simple-edits you can tell bc that item did not match the style/s already attached to their account, and didnt say something like "trying a new style!" or whatever in the bio or comments or something. idk. people who never can "stick to one style" still have a general large encompassing area they still to, ive never gotten a "i dont really have an art-/editing-style" person confused with an art-/editing-thief. and im one of those people who constantly change up their art/edits/writing/aesthetic/etc ("idk what exact box i fit into. im just me"), which i think? maybe helps me??? on figuring out if someone is a thief or is just inconsistent/experimenting/"just being me"/whatever?? but yeah! an art-thief especially, and oftentimes also edit-thieves, tend to be pretty obvious they are a thief. even if the comments have not already caught on. bc sometimes youll see a comment outright saying "you stole this from xyz" or "you traced xyz's art/you copied xyz's edit" but not always
● several others? especially ones that were videos of irl people?? i always check out the account and, MANY times have went "..okay this account is just a compilation of memes/jokes/etc, idk. but its VERY safe to assume they are definitely reposting and are NOT the irl person in the video". the person/people in this video assumedly are unaware their video of them being a silly lil goofball they posted on their personal account is here, on an account that compiles memes and funny videos. (bc its VERY rare that an account focused on humor will post content that reveals their face and/or their loved one/s. so. safe to assume it isn't theirs.) and i do want to find the original personal account this image/video in question came from, so i do look. there's a very small margin of error where, if a video looks really old, i wont look tho bc i assume the original account it was posted on is gone and, if it really looks old enough or like enough of "that type of oops funny thing was improv'ed" gag that i think maybe it was on "America's Funniest Home Videos" or a similar clip-show on cable?? ill admit, those ones, i dont try. but if it's like "this obviously friends trying to do a silly trend on tiktok"?? yeah, of course, i look for the account that came from, absolutely. but yeah, that's the usual spectrum for those types. i rarely find, much less keep, videos i can see landing on those "America's Funniest Home Video" type of clip-shows. so, really, the only "danger" there is for being a new video featuring irl people who idk? to go uncredited AND be a rare case where i didn't even try to look for the original account?? is, again, if the low-resolution and content of the video makes me think the video is old enough to where searching would be pointless. to which i then ask, fam? why the fuck is the resolution so bad that i thought this was maybe uploaded to Vine or MySpace (or MAYBE even was a VHS mailed to early-EARLY "AFHV"? lmao imagine), the fuck lol???? but whatever, nobody's perfect, i think you can grant me this kind of margin of error if my anxiety is already willing to grant it lmao
which, ill fully admit. i care about crediting these people for my own self-interests. like, sure, i do it in no small part bc it's the nice and kind thing to at least TRY to do. but also?? i do care about ensuring that person gets a shout-out bc of my anxiety catastrophisizing the hypothetical of a post of mine blowing up and inducing me to feel massive guilt from the fact that i didnt give credit to the people who actually made the item in question so they could also share in the attention of virality. so like. i dont assume ill go viral?? i WORRY ill go viral lmao if? that?? makes sense? which. i have trauma that i know would make me hate even a quarter-of-the-way viral levels of attention would imply. and i feel like, if this account was to ever go viral (god forbid. gatekeep me. dont let it happen lol there's a significant chance i might abandon this account if that happens), i feel like one thing that would basically be destined to happen is i would get chronically-online people criticizing me for not crediting my sources and riding on other people's hard-work. which like. i know they would do anyway since im not perfect at crediting. but if i didnt even TRY, that would hurt differently in a way that'd fuck me up. never know who could be the next hypothetical Cinderella story, like how Kombucha-Girl became the p fucking famous Britney Broski (regardless on your or my own feelings on Britney Broski, she did get her fame from a jokey meme that totally changed her life). give people their credit. like. i am also doing it to be nice and kind, sure! but know that even if i felt exhausted of all my nicities and kind inklings somehow on some certain day?? my anxiety would still demand i at least TRY to find the source. like. anytime you see NO credit?? ANYWHERE??? know the day i found the image/video, i probably spent a good chunk of time between 15 to 45 minutes, out of niceness and kindness and also to appease my anxiety, trying to find the source before calling it quits and saying "at least i tried" (aforementioned exceptions and/or margin of error notwithstanding lol)
which, with everyone where i have TRIED to see if i could reverse-image-source the item?? ive had mixed results from that. sometimes, i found them; sometimes, i didn't. but feel free to try again for me. you might get the correct result a lot quicker than me!
("wha—? h- how.. would i?? get the correct result...? quicker than you...??")
well. my information im about to share with you could be outdated or incomplete, so take this with a grain of salt. but i remember in elementary school how my teacher told our class that google alters the search-results per [insert IP or whatever the technical term she said that ive forgotten is] depending on the history of searches. she told us this so that "if you can't find the answer you need, it doesn't mean you're stupid. ask a friend to check their search-results and find the answer together! it might just be google being picky about what words (or i guess the equivalent would be which frame you chose to screenshot in your and my case, since i dont think an image-file itself being uploaded could result in pickiness) you decided to use, or perhaps it's results are biasedly influenced by what the AI has learned about your family through your families' collective internet search-history". which was basically her sly way of telling us to not depend on the first results we find, or even the first page of results, but to be critical of our sources in their credibility and whatnot. so, the way i understood what she meant was via an example she proceeded to give us that went SOMETHING(?) like this:
(🅰️) a kid whose parent is a professor with a doctorate who brings work home often, meaning they use the family-wifi to research academic studies. when that kid googles "teach me about pyramids"? their results may be extremely well-regarded articles about the Egyptian pyramids (such as the New York Times), peer-reviewed journals about the Egyptian tombs history, Khan Academy and other very good mathematical sources to help you understand how pyramids work within geometry, a released study-guide of various pyramids' formulas (relating to geometry) from Harvard's math-degree program, and much more. a very good foundation for their Egyptian pyramid report for class, and the math could help with that research in breaking down those pyramids dimensions in that report which could give that student an interesting angle that puts their report from an "A" status to an "A+" status, especially if their parent can help them plug in the right numbers into the relevant formulas! very helpful
vs. (🅱️) a kid whose parent works in accounting and taxes, who strives for a healthy work-life balance of never bring work home as often as possible. as a result, the parent uses the family wifi to play pseudo-gambling-with-fake-money apps on their phones more than anything else, to de-compress and de-stress. when that kid googles "teach me about the pyramids"? their results will include some articles about the Egyptian pyramids, but maybe not as credibly-sourced since the [insert IP or whatever it was called again] with this family's wifi isn't used to finding online resources of academic credibility. in fact, the student might get confused since a lot of results might be influenced by those pseudo-gambling phone-apps, and be showing the child information about Las Vegas's pyramids. which. isn't what the report is about. and due to this parent likely having to still bring work home sometimes, like during tax season or other stressful crunch-times, there might be way more math results about pyramids (geometry) than about the Egyptian pyramids. but accountants don't use geometry in their work, they use more basic arithmetic and algebra. so the formulas about the pyramids (geomtry) here would only talk about the pyramids of Egypt as part of the word-problems. so even if the parent was to also have the availability to help the kid plug in the accurate applicable numbers into the formula? those formulas are more likely to be not give a full picture of how to calculate the Egyptian pyramids' size and dimensions. and that's if the kid has the right numbers written down as they might have the dimensions for those Las Vegas pyramids instead, and feels inspired by these online results to even try to do this math (as the lack of "training the computer" to look for reliable articles means these word-problem results are more likely to be blank homework page examples, but could also include walk-throughs here and there like the Kid-A recieved plenty of). but those Egyptian pyramid articles, the most important part of this whole paper, are ALSO more likely to be from less reliable sources with perhaps incorrect information (bc people online like to lie. bc it is fun. but also sometimes people online think they are right when they actually fundamentally misunderstand something), like maybe Kid-B sees enough articles by conspiracy theorists on those unreliable websites that Kid-B thinks "aliens built the Egyptian pyramids" is a more seriously considered and debated topic of academic discussion than it is (which.. it's not. that actually has gotten the famous "Aleins" History Channel Meme Guy fired from his job bc his outspoken belief in this theory cpuld have risked his university's reputation and accreditation. so. yeah, no, Kid-B, those are not academic articles). overall, unless either the parent or Kid-B themselves catches that Kid-B has to sort through a lot more "proverbial litter" to find good, ACTUALLY academic, and ACTUALLY reliable sources of information about the Egyptian pyramids and Egypt's history, Kid-B could fail their report. even if they spent just as long on research and worked just as hard as Kid-A, all bc Kid-B was ignorant to their digital disadvantages and Kid-A unknowingly advantaged. all bc of that [thing with IP or AI or whatever it was called] and what it had learned from the family wifi what the assumed interests of its users would be. a feature no kid could easily turn off/on
which worked at making the kids in our class write down these Definitively Reliable Websites where we could search for accredited articles and peer-reviewed sources. i dont remember what they were back then, we were only in 5th or 4th grade. but it was a great lesson to be taught, im frankly shocked and a bit appalled that more kids were not taught this kind of syuff when teachers are first helping students learn how to research. everyone NOT from that class (even kids who did go to the same elementary school, but jusy did not have that teacher) all have been shocked as i am usually the first one to tell people about how, yeah, that's an aspect of how many (if not all) search-engines work
anyway. the information stuck with all of us from that class, as far as i can tell (a lot of us in that class attended the same middle and high school. like. at least 40% of us, if not a LOT more. so there was a rare time or two where id talk about this and i wouldn't be The First Person To Ever Tell Someone This Search-Engine Info. and every time it was bc the peer in question i just told would go "oh! yeah, i remember [insert name of other kid that i shared that elementary teacher with] said the same to me, like, last year!" or something. but that WAS rare so idk), or at least it always stuck with me. and i was one of the luckier kids who didn't NEED to know the info! and it still has stuck with me all these years later, even the examples of Kid-A and Kid-B!! like! i was on Kid-A's side of the spectrum WAY more than i was to Kid-B's side of the spectrum. my family definitely "trained the computer" in a way i got massive benefits from. like im talking i either was 100% Kid-A, 0% Kid-B or else i was a very minimal mix like maybe 93% Kid-A, 07% Kid-B levels of "minimal". yet still, whenever i find i distrust the google results on my phone, if im next to a friend, ill ask them to google the same thing i did to see if their first page of results looks better than mine and very often we DO get different search results! so!! even if i dont get how that works, that teacher was still right!
brief tangent: im convinced this is how some of my friends that are girls who do the whole "i can stalk your would-be-date like a Private Eye and find out information down to a C.I.A. level about if this person is worthy of being assumed to be trustworthy or not" benefit from this. like they themsleves have trained their phones (with their own dates and friends' dates and even co-workers/other acquantices' dates) or something to be AWESOME and THAT FAST at pulling up the results most likely to give them all of this stranger's private info. it's wild
anyway, screenshot or download the png or jpeg or whatever (or screenshot a frame from a video) to try to find the source if you think the lack of credit on the post implies i cant find it (bc it's either that or i forgot. which. "forgot" could mean "i have the source but didnt realize i didnt put it in the post" OR "i once had the source but now forgot who to credit this to and can't find them, oh no". so. good chance i likely need help even if it was an "oh, i forgot" type of mistake). you may have a better trained [whatever the tech is, if not IP, idk] than me at reverse-image-searching to find the people and/or company the item in question is originally from. who knows. go give it a try! what's the worst that could happen? lol
but yeah, when the source is obviously. like. Walt Disney Studios or like Pixar or Warner Brothers or RDJ or Nicholas Cage or whoever the fuck then like?? i didn't put credit bc they don't need the shout-out, you very well probably recognize the actor/studio/product they are in if it's something real mainstream that tou onlt know bc of pop culture osmosis, they got millions or billions of money as pocket-change, im not stressing myself out with crediting EVERYONE since crediting "everyone" doesn't affect "everyone" equally. im only worried about the people who not getting a shout-out could potentially very negatively affect (aka: the little guys). im not gonna stress about "the big guys" lol they're rich, they're easy to find, they're fine lmao
if you DO need help finding the source from "a big guy" that i posted about, just go @ me in a post and ask (or, hell, reblog the post that came from me and @ me in the said reblog. you can delete it after i answer you). i know i have Asks/Submits/Replies/etc turned off. (its bc i dont want to be accessible to everyone ever all the time lmao that feels stressful. so this One Public Avenue being the only way you could ask me means you gotta REALLY wanna know in order to get a hold of me). i do ask y'all don't do it for "a little guy" bc ill probably ignore you if i already tried to find said little guy and am ashamed that my labor was in vain (but if i do know the source for sure, like i still fully remember their info— and just simply forgot to credit said lil guy, then ill absolutely reply to you and edit the og post). know i check this blog VERY infrequently and may genuinely miss your question or answer it A LONG TIME after you @'ed me. so like. dont get mad if i take forever to reply?? or never reply? nobody wants to help someone who is entitled and gets mad at someone else for [not wanting to reply/didn't know they had something to reply to/took a long time to reply to but did reply]. mad or passive-aggressive. ive blocked people for less lol but yeah. just be polite to strangers, in general, of course, but also to strangers in predicaments like mine who have lives that take priority outside of a meme-y joke-y sideblog lol
to reiterate: feel free (but no pressure) to help if and when you can if you notice there was no credit for a lil guy on my blog pls? thanks 🫶
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏a potential controversy
i think my lines with who i decide to credit and who i dont are overall pretty clear. and i think it helps that, the way i see it, im not a hypocrite about my ideas of who to credit and who not to: bc things do get dicey when it comes to crediting people with small edits. yet i also dont insist on any credit for any of my own edits, bc i also see my edits as p fucking small. which might get SOME people mad on principle should they disagree with my overall perspective. regardless, this bit here will VERY likely be my one and only statement about it
but i do fully admit i dont quite know THE qualative line exactly? but let's establish what i mean via examples. if an account is posting a clip-compilation of "Digital Circus" and they did a "all the times Jax was sassy for 3 minutes" or something, meaning they did splice and edit this compilation together (that is one chunk of editing they did in of itself). but then they also added tiny edits, like i know its common for tiktok funny-scene-compilation-editors to have one the said simple edits just be a "🙄😒" next the character rolling their eyes (in this case, Jax). in my mind?? even tho this editor did add these kind of very minimal additions to the content at hand? and im just profiting off of the convenience of "oH YEAH, i wanted this scene clipped to use for reactions/memes! i just was putting it off bc i didnt know its time-stamp" and i use any clips, those with "🙄😒" edits and otherwise, where the most editing *i* then do afterwards is like add captions? i still see that as "the source belongs to 'Digital Circus' as there were no significant edits done to alter the material". i'm not crediting the editor that i benefited from the clip-compilation of. that's part of why i also walk what i talk in saying "if i subtitled or edited additionally to anything on this blog? you do not have to credit me. i barely did anything. i just added text, maybe with some effects done to said text to reflect volume/tone/pitch or whatever, and maybe a couple emojis/pictures were overlayed. that's nothing. i try to caption most things for accessibility. and sometimes i feel like being a goofball and i add other things ontop of it. bur nothing worthy of crediting me". bc, in the case of my edits and other people's similarly small edits? is the gag 10 times out of 10 is all still on the original content. but we start talking about an edit as in someone made an AMV?? (as in they had to splice in time to the music and maybe did other edits in addition to elevate the AMV. not as in "look, i put music behind this otherwise unedited clip" lol) or someone heavily edited this non-AMV clip of Jax to have, idk, silly meme-y circus-music ontop of having done manips of a rainbow clown wig and nose to follow his every head-motion and then ALSO did the classic DUN-meme-sound reverberation with camera-shake and black-white filter after Jax's dumbest expressions or lines?? that. that is SO MUCH editing and definitely changes the clip to where i am absolutely sourcing both "Digital Circus" and that editor. both of the AMV and circus-Jax
so, again, idk exactly where the qualitative line is. but i do have one where i refuse to fuck over people who have edited the original content to the point that now the audience is there for this person's editing skills, and not bc of the original content within the clip/s used. does that make sense?? i hope that makes sense. this is my one and only statement im gonna make about it anyway lol i think my reasoning is sound. if your content is heavily relient on the original content being as unedited as possible but you just added a few things on the "🙄😒"-level to be a goofball? keep doing what you're doing, im not going to yuck your yum (especially since i am identical to you and i also love to add a bit of razzle-dazzle lol). but im not going to credit you, the credit goes to the people who made the said original content that this "🙄😒"-and-adjacent-edits dont alter or anything. it's still like 90% the original show's clip?? come on lmao you and i can both live without the credit. feel free to take my edits and add them to your account "so i see how it feels". it's still almost entirely the original show, so ive made my peace with rarely/never getting credit for my small edits or subtitles bc like.. it's still 90% the original show??? i did basically nothing. i just had fun, have a clip i can throw into discord or a text-conversation for a tee-hee with my loved one, and have given other people permission to benefit from this side-blog's collection and possible captioning. again, come on lol the editors who actually changed the content so much with their skills that, other than that they used the original show like a collage artist benefits from magazines and whatnot, they've DEFINITELY changed more than 90% of the content to the point that their viewers are having a different experience with this editor than they would be watching the original show or its clips. come on lmao

😂😂😂
Another long one. Please skip if uninterested! Never expect anyone to read. 😊😊😊 edited to add, I hope no one feels like I'm referring to the whole fandom. I'm not, it should be clear but just in case it isn't. 😊 when I use "you or they" I'm referring to a specific type of haters.
"yet our assumptions keep being proven right."
Now that's comedy. 😂😂😂
Literally not one single assumption has been proven correct about his GF Johanne M. Mostly I've seen delusional ridiculous dehumanizing hate For both of them, and jokes. But nothing about body language or their relationship has been proven, other than they say they love each other and live together. Lol that's literally the only actual facts we know. Oh and he's planning to propose too. 😂😊😊😊 they go on dates. facts just exist, interpretations or wishing misery aren't facts.
And also things he's mentioned years ago in interviews aren't assumptions (including things he's mentioned again recently, adhd a few times on podcasts years ago). Everything else regarding personalities, symptoms, and motivations are still unproven assumptions.
I'll explain further an earlier post And I'll put it more plainly. It's wrong imo, to diagnose people with disorders, extra disorders or symptoms, they may or may not have. Just bc your experience with a disorder includes xyz characteristics FOR YOU does not make it true for everyone on a vastly wide spectrum. It's not only wrong to do so but armchair psychology is just ridiculous. He is not a carbon copy of your projections or experiences. Your experiences with disorders or people with disorders, doesn't dictate anyone else's experience. Just bc you don't like her or hate her, doesn't mean she has *insert disorder you use to insult her here.* the same goes for him. Also disorders are real, they are not insults. People that have disorders are not "bad" people just bc they have a disorder.
Sidenote please reference my post on Body language (you said you were reading😜, always surprised lol), real professors with PhDs say it's not real. Bc no one humans behavior or intent can be deciphered by body language. Too many variables with personality, possible disorders, and the simple fact all people are different. Even with similarities, not everything is typical or presents the same. What I'm saying is you can't read an article or watch crime videos and then suddenly claim you know what you're talking about when humans are very complex and body language isn't a real thing. Edited to add, you can interpret people you know in real life, bc you know them, their history, how they react, but not strangers. And they are both strangers to us all. You can read people you come into physical contact with, or whether or not a dark alley feels right or not, but a stranger through the screen on instagram? That's just ridiculous, delusional and irrational.
Now I've always said I hope in real life you're not as you are online. I don't know you so I can't judge you, I don't know what made you act this way online. I won't make assumptions about your life or call you evil. It's not my thing to judge or demonize. I haven't ever dehumanized anyone and don't intend to. I've also generally tried to refrain from labeling people as crazy, bc I don't think it's right and denigrates real illnesses to brush it off with such a callow dismissive word. But pointing out that these delusions arise at least partly, from jealousy is just common sense. It ALL stems from AHA, no other source for the hate towards her can be found. All objections are based on what you think he would/should want. Just like former hate for Fanny, the origin of it was him. The same ridiculous hate. If you're not a jealous person then this strangers choice wouldn't bother you at all. You'd say meh, and move on bc he doesn't affect your daily life. But seeing that you (six people or less my guess) find nothing wrong in disturbing, delusional, and jealous content/behaviour over a celeb and his celeb GF, then I guess it's just who you are. Sorry. I feel mean saying it, but if this is how you act towards a stranger bc you're anonymous and can get away with it....you come across as no better than a middle school bully. So you might be one but I hope not.
I will always maintain that the people that know him and her in real life are the best judges for their characters, bc they actually know them. It's highly unlikely that everyone's (friends/fam/AHA) people reader Radar is off, that's a whole lot of people to discount bc it doesn't fit the narrative you want it to fit. It's ridiculous. Just like continuously going after his mother bc she likes her too.
Putting this here bc I felt like responding! 😊😊😊 sorry to anyone that reads for the length.

ANONYMOUS ASKED : what would you do if the Imperial Prince were to kiss you?
Fluid was the movement of his quill 'pon parchment, words of a flowery source written in a slanted and beauteous font.' T was but the third editing of the poem he had conceived - of feelings of lost and not yet found, of heavy woe and uncertain direction. No matter how he edited it, not yet did it quite flow with his usual pacing and thus, he decided quietly that it was not yet ready for the pages of his private compendium.
The poised question diverted his train if thought so violently that the poet had no choice but to rest aside his quill and briefly rest his head in his hands: elbows upon the dark wood of his desk, flickering candles near to his person nigh forgotten.
"I dare say I would be intensely overwhelmed, in the least." He finds he had to clear his throat, and it is with a glance paid toward the hearth within his study that he attempts to hide the light flush to the heights of his cheeks. "I cannot recall what it is like to not be berated or cast aside at a mere glance, and thus aught over that is... A realm unexplored."
Cyvel tries to not think too deeply on the subject: it's a conversational topic better suited to the beauties of the capital, not a socially inept and disgraced being such as he. Belonging to the nobility or otherwise, Cyvel's father had made certain that he stood no chance in the public eye - he had lost that support the moment he had not followed in the glory of their households usual path.
He adverts his gaze, finally: resting it upon the view out of his window ere standing. Ink stains pepper pale fingers, the crevat around his neck resting untied. He's tired - in more ways than he care to admit and daydreaming on what ifs and I possibilities does the true melancholic loneliness of his heart no favours.
"Mayhap you ought redirect your question." He concludes, deep sorrow returning to his expression where it rests nigh permenantly. He is destined to be alone, this he has understood from a very young age. None could care for a coward such as he, who world's words in place of a blade, who can offer naught but rhymes to his country. He holds no worth, not in the eyes of Sanbreque and certainly not in the eyes of his family - so how could he ever hope or dream to be loved? Nay, 'T is folly to even imagine lest he only add to his deep woes. "I am... Ill suited. His imperial highness would deserve someone far more fitting than I, regardless. I bring only shame."

are any of these your original posts? if not, please stop uploading other people's content.
Well... yeah. I can't lie... a chunk of the photos I've posted are mine or my friends. While I'd rather not have to prove myself to the anon ask, I can point out each individual screenshot from me or someone I know if I needed to.
When they're not mine I never take credit and it says very clearly on my account that I will remove or add credit to photos on request if the owner is unhappy.
If I really wanted to get into the technicality of it (this is where law class finally helps me) all photos I use, excluding art, could be used without any 'credit' due to the content being a screenshot of Nintendo brand products that's free to use (mostly) for us lot. So I don't even owe the courtesy of offering removal... of course, I would never not do that - that would just be ridiculously rude. I will always provide the option of removal, no matter the reason. What Im saying is there's, by technicality, no obligation if you want to be literal about it.
All the photos that I dont take myself are pulled from my Pinterest. My special interest is Animal Crossing and I have (as of rn) 5,924 Animal Crossing pins and by no means the time to hunt down each individual owner. And for many of the photos I use, especially the ones from old games, there is the issue of being unable to track down the original poster.... it's not even like Im bad at this... I edit the Animal Crossing Wiki, so you know I can produce sources. Its just that sometimes that source is beyond your reach. That doesn't mean Im not going to post the pretty Animal Crossing photo from 2015 or the meme that got a chuckle out of me. If I see a meme on Pinterest that originated from Tumblr then I don't save it or use it, Ill just find the original.
Finally, art is something that I respect a lot as an artist, so I hesitate to post any art if I don't have the source available to me. You might notice a distinct lack of art on this blog at a baseline and that's because of this concern.
I gotta be honest here man, unless you're the owner of every post Ive ever made then Im not just gonna stop posting. Im at no point claiming to own all these photos, but a good chunk of them are screenshots from old games, with owners who don't even exist in the ac world anymore. Many new screenshots include a handy-dandy watermark which I never remove and in the worst-case scenario most posts can be, at the least, traced back to my Pinterest.
Im not going to stop posting memes, screenshots and the occasional irl AC craft because Anonymous said it was bad. If you have a personal issue because I used something of yours I encourage you to just contact me directly and I can remove it, but until that point please have a nice day.
TL:DR - No. I dont own everything I post and I don't even claim to own everything but yeah a chunk ARE mine or my friends. I dont post art, memes never come from a direct source please be serious, sometimes posts are so old there is no credit and if nobody ever reshared the photos from 2020 and before I think we would be living in a dark and sad timeline. I want to live in Animal Crossing every day, I have given 15 years of my life to this game and you can either join me in loving the vast recorded history of the game or go about your day enjoying your life in your own way, away from me.
If it really is truly a bother, Im happy to place a link to my Pinterest somewhere obvious on my blog so people can see for themselves where I get all this from, if not my own town.
#askacb#Anonymous#animal crossing#hopefully this doesnt come off as rude#im autistic as hell idk how to talk#but I stand by posting fun screenshots#oneday when im a master blogger with thousands of photos of my own Ill ONLY post MY photos and then you guys wont even be able to escape me#how about that?

A penny for your thoughts? And by thoughts I mean book recommendations I feel like you’ve got some good ones 🤲🏼
anon my beloved <33 of course!! im way too lazy to go back and look at what I've recommended before so some (or maybe even a lot) of these might be repeat recommendations, so im sorry in advance for that lmaoo
medieval/early christianity recommendations make up the bulk of these as that's usually what i actively seek out, so there's not a huge variety rip
holy feast and holy fast, fragmentation and redemption, and jesus as mother are all by caroline walker bynum and i can not stress enough that if you're even slightly interested in medieval christianity, she's the perfect introduction. interesting, informative, and relatively easy to understand even if you've never delved into the subject matter before. there's a reason she's the first i go to when people ask for recs.
gendered voices edited by catherine mooney. a collection of essays about female saints and their interpreters. another relatively easy-to-understand intro to medieval christianity.
medieval women's visionary literature edited by elizabeth petroff. an AMAZING collection of primary sources focused on female religious figures in early christianity (specifically the visionaries as seen in the title) truly can not recommend this enough. super informative introductions to all the primary sources which, again, makes it accessible to people who haven't really studied the subject matter before.
clare of assisi and the thirteenth-century church by catherine mooney. this one im a little more hesitant to recommend simply because the focus of it is so narrow as it is mainly centered around clare of assisi (though i think she is fascinating) but its also super informative about the state of the Church in the 13th century and the politics at play during that time, so i think it's worth checking out.
the burden of flesh by teresa shaw. centered around female ascetic practices in the early church, mostly fasting related. i recommend reading it and then reading rudolph bell's holy anorexia. shaw covers some of the earlier practices and bell covers mid to late medieval practices (from what i remember).
body and soul: essays on medieval women and mysticism edited by elizabeth petroff. as the title shows, this is another collection of essays. if you are at all interested in mystics i really cant recommend this enough. one of my favorite collections besides gendered voices.
if you're at all interested in the type of consumption i talk about on here from time to time what's eating you: food and horror on screen edited by cynthia j miller is a must read. i come back to it constantly.
i think later ill circle back and add some poetry recommendations, or hopefully ill just be able to like. find the post I've done on it and link it. i hope you find any of these useful and/or interesting!!
#bookrectag#ask#trying to see if that tag means ill be able to find this again later lmaoo#probably not

ADHD in DSMP
So about a week back, I made a post about Karl Jacobs (a bit of a passive aggressive one, I’ll admit, but I think it was justified), complaining that a lot of the ‘criticism’ I see about Karl is actually rather insensitive towards his ADHD. I got a lot of responses to that post, and the most common sources of confusion I saw were:
People not understanding what I was saying they should avoid being judgmental of, or-
People who didn’t know that Karl had ADHD or didn’t understand which behaviors were caused by it.
First of all, Karl has confirmed that he has ADHD.
(NOTE: Yes, I know he said ADD. ADD and ADHD used to be categorized as separate disorders, but in the most recent edition of the DSM, it was decided that they are both simply subtypes of the same disorder- ADHD is the correct technical term. ADD is still sometimes used as shorthand by some practitioners to diagnose primarily-inattentive ADHD, but it's a bit outdated.)
Secondly, that original post made me realize that a lot of people who may be well-meaning may genuinely not fully understand ADHD and its symptoms as well as they want to or think they might. If you aren’t aware, Karl isn’t the only one in the DSMP with ADHD- to my understanding, both Technoblade and Dream have confirmed that they have it as well. So, I thought it would be helpful to put together a comprehensive crash-course on ADHD symptoms and how they effect people’s behavior!
Now, before we go further, I want to address something- as I said earlier, I saw some people unsure of whether certain behaviors are ADHD or “just his personality”. I feel the need to point this out above the read more so people will see it. To answer this question, as someone with ADHD;
A lot of times, it’s both. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder, meaning that it’s caused by the way your brain developed from birth. A lot of the symptoms and effects of ADHD are extremely influential towards the way we think, act, and behave, to the point where “symptoms” and “normal behavior” really don’t have a clean differentiation. This is why it’s technically classified as a ‘disorder’, instead of an illness. While certain aspects of it can require treatment, the condition itself as a whole is not something to be mitigated or eliminated- it’s a part of who we are as a person. This is also why sometimes, even if you don’t have ADHD, you’ll look at certain specific behaviors or experiences and go “Oh, but I do that too!”. A lot of ADHD ‘symptoms’ are just a bunch of normal traits or behaviors, but in combination with each other and some actually problematic aspects, form the appearance of the disorder.
So, what are you allowed to nitpick about it? Well, there’s no real ‘authority’ on this, and even if there was it certainly wouldn’t be me. But if you want my opinion? Nothing.
See, here’s the thing- what I was trying to say when I made that post was not that you can’t be critical of Karl. If you want to say something about his Actions, his Ideals, or the content he creates- sure, go for it, that’s fair. I will agree that there are some very valid and constructive points to be made. But when you post ‘criticism’ about the way he speaks, his interests or preoccupations, his personal behaviors? That’s not criticism. That’s just judging someone.
And you’re allowed to think that stuff! Nobody can control what annoys or bothers them. It doesn’t necessarily make you a bad person. But you don’t need to be vocal about it. You can keep your mean thoughts to yourself. And if you do make posts or communities or whatever about judging someone for things they can’t change about themselves, don’t call it “criticism” or try to morally justify it. It’s not productive or righteous, it’s just rude. Nothing else.
Anyway. Back to Education!
The following will be a descriptive list of visible ADHD behaviors, using Karl’s behavior as examples.
I feel the need to add a disclaimer here- I am not a mental health professional. However! I have ADHD myself, I have taken some psychology courses and done a Lot of research into this stuff, and I’m the daughter of a therapist with access to a DSM. While I’m not an expert, I’d like to think I’m fairly well versed and knowledgeable on at least ADHD. (That being said, if by chance anyone who Is a professional sees this post and notices mistakes, by all means let me know and I’ll fix it!!)
WHAT IS ADHD?
You’re here for the behaviors more than the science, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (Known in the past as Attention Deficit Disorder). Despite its name, the root problem of ADHD is not in the person’s ability to pay attention, but their brain’s capability to manage itself. In simple terms, people with ADHD have a lot less control over what their brain does and wants. This results in some behavioral differences along with some personal challenges, namely a difficulty with attentiveness and self-discipline.
Now, onto the symptoms!
ATTENTION
This is perhaps the most visible and pervasive of the ADHD symptoms, hence why it’s the namesake. Inattention is a lack of focus and an inability to stay present and occupied with certain tasks or thoughts.
Because ADHD impairs self-management of the brain, people with it have an extremely hard time directing themselves anywhere but where their brain instinctively wants to go. This results in inattentiveness and the easiness of distraction that is often mocked or stereotyped for people with ADHD.
Here are some examples of how Karl can sometimes display his inattentiveness;
When he has an idea that he seems passionate about, only to drop it or switch to something totally different without warning soon after (either forgetting or getting bored of his original idea).
When he sets out to do something like a build, works on it for a short amount of time, and then immediately gives up or gets someone else to do it.
When someone else is talking and he totally zones out. (NOTE: While I wont make a whole section for it because it’s not easily observable, maladaptive (constant and intrusive) daydreaming is a common ADHD symptom as well!)
It’s important to remember that the whole problem with ADHD is that we can’t control when or what we focus on. When someone with ADHD zones out during a conversation or activity, it doesn’t mean they’re doing it on purpose, and they likely don’t mean any offense! We often are trying our best to listen or participate, but our brain just wont cooperate.
However, inattention is not the only way ADHD effects our focus. There’s also what’s called hyperfocus or hyperfixation, which is when we are so absorbed into a single subject, task, or idea that it is extremely difficult to get us to think about or do anything else. This is usually because our brains have found something that is getting those satisfaction chemicals flowing, and it’s clinging to that with everything it’s got.
People with ADHD will often experience brief periods of hyperfocus. Think of how Karl talks about spending hours straight working on a build or project without eating or drinking, or how he’ll sit down to play a game with someone and end up going six hours without even noticing.
There are also hyperfixations, where someone with ADHD becomes extremely preoccupied with a certain subject, topic, etc. for a period of time. These can be short term- personally, my hyperfixation can sometimes change as quickly as a couple weeks at a time. However, it can also be long term. Karl has been obsessed with Survivor since the second grade- not to mention his memorabilia, rambling, and constant references to Kingdom Hearts.
HYPERACTIVITY/STIMMING
This is a BIG one for Karl. I should clarify; ‘stimming’ is not a technical term, and in professional situations these behaviors are just referred to as Hyperactivity. However, I personally like the term stimming much more and find it far more accurate to what the behaviors actually are, so I’ll be using that instead for this post.
If you’re not already familiar, ‘stimming’ (derived from ‘stimulation’) is an unofficial term used to describe consistent and abnormal patterns of physical and vocal behavior typically expressed by people with ADHD and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). This includes things that people usually call fidgets or tics.
(NOTE: There are differences in how people with those two disorders stim. This post will explain stimming specifically from an ADHD perspective! ASD stimming is caused by very different factors and presents itself in much different ways. Do your own research if you’re curious!)
There are two major observable forms of stimming- physical and vocal. Karl expresses both VERY often! I’ll use examples for each type;
Physical Stims: Flapping his hands/arms, jumping up and down when he’s excited, twisting around into odd positions in his chair, throwing, hitting, or tapping things, standing up and pacing around when he’s hyped up or laughing, twisting his rings, etc.
Vocal Stims: When he gets excited and repeats a certain phrase incessantly (Think any variation of “I’m popping off”), making certain repetitive noises while he’s focused on something or bored (”la la la”, the meow-noises, the weird heart-beat noise, etc.), singing or humming, tongue clicking.
It should be noted here that it’s pretty common for people with ADHD to get “stuck” on certain phrases or noises, and be unable to stop repeating them (reminiscent of echolalia, a symptom of ASD, but not the same thing). Think of how Karl might sometimes keep making a weird noise for an extended period of time even though it’s not that funny, or that one time he was physically struggling to keep himself from singing the Bakugan theme. These repetitions are completely impulsive and trust me, we usually know how annoying it is while we’re doing it, but we physically cannot stop.
ADHD stims are caused by the fact that the barrier between our brain and body is much weaker than a normal person’s. Because of this, most ADHD stims are actually very positive expressions of joy, excitement, or enthusiasm! Y’know how when you get excited, you feel like you wanna jump or dance? The ‘hyperactivity’ of ADHD is basically just that, but we don’t have the self-control to Not do it.
Stims can be caused by negative feelings like overstimulation, but in ADHD this is not nearly as common. Usually, the most negative reason we’ll stim is when we’re bored- in that case, our brain isn’t getting the Constant Stimulation that it naturally wants, so stimming is a way to make our own.
Whatever the cause, stimming is natural and impulsive. While different people experience it to varying degrees, those who regularly stim typically have little to no control over it. Suppressing stims is very hard and very frustrating to do.
Besides that, like I said- ADHD stims are often an expression of joy, excitement, or enthusiasm. They’re a beautiful thing that shouldn’t be seen as shameful or annoying!
BEHAVIORAL DIFFICULTIES
ADHD is a disorder which causes a lack of self-control. Naturally, this means that people with ADHD are inherently reckless, impulsive, and struggle with a lack of self-discipline that they cannot fix.
Of course, people with ADHD do still have some level of self-control, and they are still responsible for conscious, long-term behavioral patterns and decisions. However, in regards to most things, they are much, much less capable of controlling themselves than an average neurotypical person is.
These are some examples of how this will often present itself in Karl;
Excessive rambling, dragging on a joke or conversation when it could and should probably have been dropped, etc.
Speaking over or interrupting other people (NOTE: As someone with ADHD- THIS IS ALMOST ALWAYS UNINTENTIONAL. I know it can seem rude or annoying but I promise, 90% of the time if someone with ADHD talks over you, they either didn’t realize or physically couldn’t help it. Please try to be patient!)
Lack of awareness towards social cues (NOTE: Unlike ASD, in which the person is incapable of/has problems fully understanding social cues, ADHD results in a lack of awareness. For whatever reason, we’re often just not paying close enough attention to pick up on things like body language, tone of speech, and facial expression as well as we would normally.)
Indecisiveness and overthinking
Bluntness, lack of subtlety
Unintentional dismissiveness, accidentally ignoring things/people (NOTE: Again, this behavior is purely accidental. In this case, it’s usually just the person genuinely not hearing or processing things.)
Making noises, speaking, joking, etc. at inappropriate times
There’s probably more, but I think you get the idea by now. A lot of the time, behavior which results from ADHD can be seen as rude, lazy, dismissive, or otherwise intentionally harmful. In reality, we just aren’t wired to navigate common social interaction with grace.
In Karl’s case, he’s clearly an incredibly sweet, empathetic, and kind-hearted person, if the various close friends who have talked about him are to be believed. Just because he talks over people or makes a poorly timed joke, that doesn’t mean he meant any harm.
I think that’s about it for how much I wanted to point out! You can do more research if you’re curious, but I feel like this post should be enough to tell you what to keep in mind and be understanding about when talking about/making judgements on Karl, and other people with ADHD.
#sorry if this is longwinded but I had a lot to say so [shrug]#karl jacobs#dsmp#dream smp#dreamwastaken#ghost.txt

hey, i would love to hear your thoughts about edward and ocd!!! honestly i don't know if i've ever seen that elaborated on before, would love to hear more!
Omg okay thank you so much for asking!!!! Dumped a load of thoughts over private messages this morning so I'll drop those with a couple of edits if I have better clarity now lmao
Okay yes so,,,,,,, to start. What do we know about Edward? He grew up in a time that was pretty repressed. He also died quite young without a great deal of experiences under his belt. As a vampire he hears everybody's thoughts all the time. He has a very strong sense of right and wrong. Etc etc
So like we understand he is ace like; he never shows sexual interest in anyone other than Bella, he KNOWS what sexual attraction looks like in people's thoughts, and he really knows that he doesn't have that. Maybe he even goes through all those phases of thinking he's weird, thinking he's better than everyone, not caring at all, idk he has a century for identity crisis really. Love that for him. I hc that he pretty much understands his feelings on it by the time of the book even though he may not necessarily identify as "asexual" per se, if asked if he was that he'd probably say yes
And I am convinced he has OCD. I've got another post about this that I can try to find and reblog again where we've discussed Twilight & neurodiversity which I really love. So obviously everyone gets thoughts in their brain that are uncomfortable and the disorder part of OCD comes from when you can't shake them, you become obsessive over them (source: me and the research I have done on my own mental illness thank you). As a vampire who doesn't want to kill humans, you frequently get unpleasant intrusive thoughts about killing humans. As a vampire who can read other vampire's minds it's even worse. The way Edward sees himself as inherently evil because of his "vampire instincts" is SO familiar to me as how I used to see myself before I better understood my OCD I just think it's all there!!! He's getting all these intrusive thoughts about his worst nightmare and he CAN'T SHAKE THEM
And like we know that Carlisle considers himself to be a monster and that's where Edward got all those thoughts from but it doesn't bother Carlisle as much because he's not got OCD whereas Edward does which is why he's so fixated on it it all makes SENSE
So then he meets Bella. A human. Who his FIRST thought when he smells her is how much he NEEDS to kill her. For an hour he sits with intrusive thoughts about completely abandoning his morals to kill a room of humans over her. It's horrible for him. I actually go back and read this extract of Midnight Sun even though I can't actually finish the damn thing because it's a horrible scene to read and it really speaks to the way he struggles with his mental health as a character. And then beyond this scene he never really stops getting intrusive thoughts about Bella because he *knows* how fragile she is and simply because it bothers him so much
SO THEN we finally get back to how this looks to his sexuality because!! He's never had to think about this before. But he suddenly finds himself deeply romantically involved with a human. Does she desire him? He doesn't think so until she clarifies that she really does, but he thinks about it. And he's scared because it comes with it a whole new set of intrusive thoughts. That relate to the possibility of sexual activity and how much he could hurt Bella in that situation. He's terrified of this happening as we see the entire time Bella is human
I think it's so interesting how throughout the series, any desire to have sex with Bella whether that's through sexual attraction as a demisexual or grey ace, or as an activity he's happy to do to make Bella happy, it's always first considered through the lens of his OCD. And like what's always heartbreaking to me is that when they DO first have sex, because Edward convinces himself it's fine and he can control himself and he's maybe not evil if Bella loves him so much she'll marry him-- he hurts her. Not much but he does. Which really adds to how much he doesn't want it to happen again!! Because he's terrified of himself and really believes he's a monster
Anyway it's all so compelling to be because it's so so hard when your sexuality and mental illness interact and then as an immortal all powerful vampire who can read minds, that experience becomes even more unique yknow??
I could really talk about it forever but these are my main thoughts?? Thanks for enabling me lmaoo
