OMG I CANT BELIEVE REQS ARE OPEN YAYAAYAYAYAYAYYYYY
okay so basically i was wondering if you could do something with popular!bully!eddie x sensitive!reader
okay okay. so reader and eddie like each other but its a secret from the other and eddie bullies her lightly (cos he doesnt know how to deal with emotions) and shes super insecure cos she has like no friends and stuff and he went prom dress shopping with chrissy and saw reader there and teased her about the dress she picked and she got sad and cried at home then its prom and eddie's rejected everyone cos hes waiting for reader to show up and finally confess but shes nowhere to be found so he goes to her house with flowers or smth and he finds her crying and he comforts her and has her put her dress on and they kiss
IM SORRY IF THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!!
but thank you SO MUCH ash your writing is literally amazing it always has me in my feels <333 thank you for bringing so much happiness (and angst LMAO) to my feed!!
You are so sweet!! Thank you so much 🫶🏻I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it. Thank you for requesting!
Prom Dress
Tumblr media
Eddie never had a good hand on his emotions, he never learned how to express what he felt correctly. All he saw growing up was expressing emotions through anger. His dad was never around to tell him about girls and his mom was never there to teach him how a girl wants to be treated. So he went with what came naturally, except he barely ever felt real feelings towards a girl.
Until he met Y/N
Eddie was popular, it was easy to have girls on his arm and in his bed. But he didn't have feelings for them, so it was easy sweet talk and then they wouldn't talk again. But it was like his brain froze when he was in Y/N's presence. His sweet talk was out the door as he stuttered out something to say, and it was always a comment that sent her over the edge. He just didn't know that.
Y/N was a very alone person. She wasn't the best at making friends, making peace with being her own friend. She was insecure, never telling a boy how she felt because she knew it would go the exact way she thought it would. And when she realized her heart raced when Eddie walked in the halls, she knew that one would never happen.
Plus she has a good damn feeling he hated her guts. He added fire to the hell she lived in but there was something about him that she wanted. She allowed herself to be his punching bag because she felt alive when his eyes were on her. He was practically the only person that talked to her, and she didn't want to give that up.
Because at the end of the day, she had Eddie Munson's attention.
~~~
Eddie groaned as Chrissy picked up another dress to try on. He looked at his watch, annoyed that they had been in the same shop for two hours.
"At this point, Jason won't care what you pick. Can we please go?" Eddie moaned, his head thrown back as he sat on the uncomfortable chairs.
"You're fine. I have two more dresses and then we'll leave!" Chrissy sighed, going into the changing room.
Eddie moved his head back and looked around the store. He blinked a few times when he saw someone familiar. He stood up and slowly walked closer, squinting his eyes as a girl walked away from the register with a puffy pink dress.
"Y/N?"
She froze as she recognized the voice. Already on edge as she turned out. Panic in her eyes as she met his brown ones.
"Hi Eddie," she said, a small smile as she greeted him politely.
"Is that your prom dress?" He asked, his eyes looking over her shoulder as she held it.
"Yeah," she said quietly
"So you are going to prom? What? Alone?" He scoffed, a mocking chuckle left his mouth and Y/N shifted on her feet uncomfortably.
"Um, I don't know yet. Depends if someone asks" She shrugged
Eddie felt his body burn, a sense of discomfort thinking of someone asking her. Some guy takes her, takes pictures, and spins her on the dance floor. Someone she would have gotten dressed up for. He wasn't sure why the thought made him so damn angry. But the good news for him, he knew how to express anger.
"Ask you? You know that's not going to happen" he argued, his eyes dark as he stared down at her. "And while you are wearing that? A puffy pink dress, you think you are some fairytale princess? That dress looks like it's for a five-year-old old" He teased, but it wasn't his usual tease. This time it felt like every word he said sliced through her.
The one dress that fit her like a glove. The one dress that made every problem wash away. A dress where for once she felt beautiful.
She didn't say anything, just turned around and walked out of the store.
She cried as she raced to her car, harshly throwing the dress in the backseat. She cried the whole way home, feeling helpless in this world. She wasn't sure why it felt like everything was always up against her.
~~~
It was the night of the prom, and Y/N ignored the dress that hung up in her closet.
She bought it a week ago, a week since Eddie ruined the one bit of confidence she had left.
She wanted to return it, but the store wouldn't take it. So now she was stuck with a reminder that she would never be the gorgeous girl who walked into prom and changed everyone's perspective of her. She would still be that loser everyone laughed about.
So she stayed home. Her parents weren't too involved with her life, out on vacation as she sat on the couch. She watched romantic movies, crying as she stuffed her mouth with chocolate ice cream.
~
Eddie checked his watch for the tenth time of the night. The loud music overwhelmed him as he kept his eyes on the door.
"Want to dance?" A girl from the cheerleading squad asked.
"No thanks. I'm waiting for someone" he said with a tight smile, then moved his eyes back to the door
The prom started two hours ago, and she still wasn't there.
He turned down about ten dances before he took matters into his own hands.
He grabbed his keys from his pocket and hit the road. The flowers he bought sat in his passenger seat, guess he was going to drive them to her instead.
He pulled up to her driveway, letting out a nervous breath as he got out. He fixed his suit, patted down his hair, and gripped the flowers. He knocked on the door, stepping back as he waited for it to open.
"Eddie?" She was surprised, her body mostly covered by the door. Some sort of protection for herself.
He looked up and frowned. Her eyes were red and her cheeks were wet. And she wasn't anywhere near dressed up for prom. Her hair was down, but no makeup on her face.
"Hey, can I come in?" He asked
"Why?" She asked, covering her body even more with the door
"Why didn't you come to prom?"
She was surprised he even noticed. But she was more curious as to why it mattered to him.
"Didn't want to go. Is that all?" She snapped. It was enough that he could torture her at school and outside of school. But at her own house is where she drew the line.
"Um, uh, these are for you," he said shyly, not used to her face looking so annoyed and a snap in her tone.
She eyed the flowers as he held them out for her. She opened the door wider to grab them. They were truly beautiful and it was the first time she ever received flowers.
"Oh um thank you, Eddie," she said, smelling the flowers
"Can I come in? Maybe we can talk?" He asked, he twiddled his fingers as he waited for her to reply
"Uh sure but don't you have like a date or something?" She asked
"No, I was waiting for you," he said honestly, for once just saying what he felt instead of turning it into a joke.
She didn't know what to say so she opened the door and let him step inside.
She walked to the kitchen and got a vase for the flowers. He followed without asking.
"So why were you waiting for me? Was a big bucket of red paint gonna fall over me?" She asked, watching as the water filled the clear vase.
"No, why would I do that?" He asked, his head turned like a confused puppy
She laughed to herself bitterly
"Because you make my life hell" She looked at him like it was obvious. Softly placing the flowers on the kitchen table.
"I don't mean to, I'm sorry" his eyes looked sincere but she wasn't sure what trap he was waiting for.
"Then why do you do it?" She asked, her arms crossed as she angrily looked at him. Maybe this was her chance to finally stick up for herself and tell him to shove everything up his ass.
"Because I like you, and I wasn't sure how to show that" he explained, a small blush formed on his face as he muttered the words.
Y/N stood frozen as she stared at him like he had two heads.
Eddie confessed he liked her?
What kind of prank was this?
"Which I can see now I did in every wrong way possible. I'm sorry for everything, I didn't know I was upsetting you."
She sighed as the apology lifted some weight off her body. It felt nice to finally be apologized to.
"Thank you for apologizing," she said, a small smile on her face
"Thank you for allowing me to," he said, a shy smile on his face
They stared at each other, neither knowing what the next move should be.
"Can I uh see your dress? I saw it in the store but didn't get to see what it looked like on you" he asked, his eyes moving to the floor
"Are you going to make fun of me?" She asked, her arms crossed. Her protection shield is back up.
"No!" He shook his head dramatically, "I know my horrible take on flirting was more hurtful. So I will keep my mouth shut" he said
"That was flirting? God, you are horrible" she joked, loving the way the air shifted into something lighthearted. He laughed with her and agreed.
She led him to her room, allowing him to sit on the bed as she went into the bathroom to change.
She slipped on the pink dress, looking at herself in the mirror. That same rush of confidence filled her body. It was like the dress was magical and healed every broken part of her. She tried to reach the back zipper but couldn't get it. Her face was already on fire as she realized what she had to do.
She walked into the room, Eddie looked up from his hands and his mouth dropped. His eyes skimmed over her dress, the way it hugged her body perfectly.
"Could you zip me up?" She asked, turning around as she tried to keep her breathing normal.
He coughed and stood up. Wiping his sweaty palms on his suit pants. His fingers danced down her spine, making her shiver. He reached the zipper and slowly pulled it up, her skin disappearing under the fabric.
The room felt thick as she slowly turned around. The ghost of his fingers was still on her back.
"You look breathtaking," he said, his voice a quiet whisper as he looked into her eyes
She gulped when his eyes dropped down to her lips. Then he was slowly leaning in.
His hand moved up to hold her cheek, and his eyes moved up to her eyes to check for a sign of rejection. But her eyes were zoned in on his lips.
He smirked as he noticed, slowly leaning in until his lips pressed perfectly against hers.
She wasn't sure where to put her hands so she softly placed them on his chest. Her head turned as he deepened the kiss.
She felt like he kept chasing her lips, sucking away her breath as she gripped his suit in her fingers.
Her body buzzed with electricity. His lips and hands were softer than she thought they would be. His kiss was gentle and slow. Her stomach fluttered and her head spun.
He held back his moans as he slipped his tongue in her mouth. Her lips were soft and warm. Her hands on his chest made his heart race and his face flush. He tried his best to not get carried away, not wanting to scare her. His free hand slipped to her back as he pushed her further against him. He never felt this way ever when he kissed a girl.
She pulled back when she felt like she couldn't breathe. She took a huge puff of air into her lungs as they kept their faces close.
Panting against each other as they looked into each other's eyes.
Like she said, it was a magical dress.

Hello! I absolutely adore your writing, I’ve binged like all of your fics 😂. If possible could you do maybe a poly!moonwater x reader where said reader maybe gets hurt (maybe someone says something negative about Remus and she gets hurt defending him?) I just absolutely adore your moonwater fics! And when Barty gets involved is hilarious. thank you so much! No pressure if you don’t feel the Inspo for it!
I've not written for moonwater in a while, so this was a sweet treat! thanks for your request, lovie <3
poly!moonwater x gn!reader who defends Remus' honour
CW: Snape's a wanker in this and we hand his ass to him for it [sorry to my Snape apologists out there - don't hate me!], alluding to blood but no actual mention of it? small injury to hand, Regulus sharing Sirius' DNA trait for mischief
You sucked in a pained breath through your teeth which was quickly replicated by your boyfriend in some sort of weird comradery.
“I know, I know; I’m sorry dove.” Remus murmured softly as he continued dabbing gently at the broken skin on your knuckles.
“S’not your fault.” You mumbled petulantly as you tried to ignore the stinging of every swipe he made; the once pristine white cloth now quite decorated in red.
Remus snorted as he eyed you pointedly before affixing his gaze back to your hands. “It sounds as if it sort of was.”
It was your turn to snort as you glared at the wall behind Remus as if it had been the one making derogatory comments in the halls a mere ten minutes ago. “You’re not the wanker who was begging to be punched.”
Remus shook his head in admonishment, but you could feel the [painful] puffs of air dancing across your open wounds as he breathed out a laugh. “He’s going to be furious, you know?”
Remus didn’t clarify who he was, but he didn’t need to. “Yeah well, if you would bloody hurry up and cast an episkey on this already, he’d never have to know.” You taunted only half teasingly [and half very nervously about how long it was taking to close up the few scrapes lining your hands from your minor scuffle].
Unfortunately, he walked in through the door before Remus had finished patching you up.
“What in the bloody hells is this I’m hearing about a brawl between you and Snape?” Regulus demanded with a stoney face as he stalked towards your form; face falling as your hands came into his view.
“Amour! What in Salazar’s name- On dirait que tu as combattu un nundu.”
“Okay, well, I think that’s a little dramatic.” You deflected quickly at the insinuation that you walked away from a fight with a nundu with nothing but a few cuts and scrapes to your knuckles to show for it.
“Dramatic?” Regulus drawled as he levelled you with an unimpressed look. “I’m not the one who jumped another student in the hallways after Potions! And Snape of all people; you know to ignore his usual drivel, amour.”
You shared a guilty look with Remus who gave you a sad smile.
“It wasn’t the usual drivel, Reg.” Remus offered, causing Regulus’ breath to leave him which he had at the ready, no doubt, to continue his admonishment.
“I didn’t think that sod had the brain cells left to come up with anything new.” He offered noncommittally, causing Remus to snort a laugh. “Still, sweetheart; I’d really prefer you just ignore him.”
“So I’m just supposed to ignore a tosser who has the audacity to speak about my, quote, half-blood half-breed freak and his blood-traitor servants who he no doubt imperio’d to be with him?” You challenged; tone both soft yet firm as you looked at Regulus imploringly.
Regulus stood there staring back at you before you noticed his jaw tighten. “Bâtard.” He spat as he looked down to where Remus was sitting on a footstool in front of you as he finished wrapping your hands.
“He’s just jealous that he can’t find one person to put up with his black hair and brooding personality, let alone two.”
“Did Regulus Black just make…not only a joke, but a joke at his own expense?” You teased as you kicked one of your feet out at him, only for him to catch you by the ankle and run his thumb over your ankle bone.
“Of course I did; I’m hilarious.” Regulus agreed in monotone causing both you and Remus to chuckle.
“You’re all fixed up, dovey.” Remus announced as he stood, bending to press a kiss on your head before pressing one to Regulus’ too. “No more fights at my expense, okay?”
“Can I fight at Regulus’ expense?”
“No.” Both boys chorused, though Remus pointed at himself as he nodded and mouthed “tell me first”.
“So, where can I find Snape now?” Regulus asked as he dropped your ankle, earning him unimpressed looks from both of you. “What? I’m not going to go find him, I just need to tell Barty where he can find him.”
“Junior doesn’t give a niffler’s arse about what Snape has to say about me, Reggie.” Remus admonished as he leaned against the headboard of his four poster bed.
“Perhaps not.” Regulus agreed readily before his gaze moved to meet yours; the horrifying glimmer of mischief present in his icy grey eyes sending shivers down your spine. “But he will care to know that his precious Treasure lost blood over that foul git.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” You hissed.
But Regulus had already turned on his heel and was rushing out of the marauder’s dorm room; as you stood to chase him, two arms wrapped an iron grip around your middle and pulled you flush to his chest.
“No more fights, dovey.” Remus murmured into your neck as he pulled you back into his bed with him.
“I’d only be fighting our sodding boyfriend! You know I’d win!” You whined petulantly, though your body traitorously melted into Remus’ frame as he nuzzled impossibly further into your neck.
“No more fighting.” He repeated.
So you acquiesced; you stopped fighting and fully allowed yourself to be cuddled by your half-blood half-breed boyfriend that you were so unbelievably and willingly in love with.

Pairing: Buck x Eddie Diaz x Reader
Word Count: 3.1k
Notes: You know that line in the song “Burn” that’s like “I see how you look at my sister” I literally named it this all because of that bwahahahahaha me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Yo Diaz! Your girl is here”
Eddie’s cheeks are pink as he comes down the stairs. Hen already has her arms around you, giving you a big hug before Bobby pulls you into his arms and gives you a kiss on the head
“Hey kiddo, it’s been a while” He smiles as Eddie comes over with Chimney
“Okay, Did we miss the whole “my girl” thing? Because it feels like it” Eddie jokes as Chimney shoves him aside to hug you first
That’s everyone!…well, almost.
Buck is overly concentrating on making his sandwich, he’s got to get his lettuce on just right or he might as well throw the entire damn thing away. His hands are shaking as he glares at the sandwich, carefully trying to place the lettuce.
He can hear your laughter and the little giggle he knows all too well. The one when Eddie wraps his arms around you and says in that stupid deep voice of his
“Hello gorgeous” Buck mouths along with him, making a face. And he mocks said little giggle and bats his eyelashes
“Hey Superman”
He also knows what’s coming next.
“Wait, where’s Buck??”
Couldn’t you just leave him alone?? Just this freaking once. Because he can’t help himself, and he’s never felt so guilty in his entire life. He’s betraying Eddie’s love and trust in him, he’s betraying their friendship he’s betraying that weird little tug he feels whenever they’re in the same room together.
He’s hopelessly in love with you
“I think he’s upstairs, eating”
There’s nowhere to run as he hears the thud of your platforms coming up the stairs, he can hear Eddie following you, can tell by the sound of little slaps and you calling him a perv as he laughs
“Buck??”
His breath catches in his throat as he looks up at you, he absolutely melts on this spot. His body relaxed and a soft smile on his lips. You look so pretty today, you look pretty every day he’s sure but today you look especially pretty.
Oh yeah, he’s definitely in love. And it’s going to get his ass kicked and his brain punched out and like some other weird third thing Eddie can come up with. Though he’s not sure how Eddie would punch his brain out
As you come closer his heart starts to beat faster, his palms start to sweat, and that’s when he realizes something very very important.
You’re wearing his shirt. What are you doing wearing his shirt??? How are you wearing his shirt? Where did you even get his shirt? Why is Gamora?!
He’s too distracted by his own screaming thoughts to notice the way you look at him short-circuiting. Eddie chuckles quietly behind you and you turn to him, giving him a little smirk.
“Hellooo?? Buck? Anyone in there?” You wave your hand in front of his face and he snaps out of it, blinking slowly. The shirt is tucked into the front of your skirt and it falls on you so nicely and you look so cute it makes him sick
“Oh- uh- shit- sorry shit. Fuck, wait I shouldn’t say that in front of a lady wait let me start over”
You look up at him, nodding along slowly with a silly grin on your face as you wait for him to start again and Eddie laughs, his head falling back
“Hi Y/N, it’s nice to see you,” He says calmly, his hand on his chest and you curtsy, holding up the sides of your skirt
“Hello kind sir, might I have a hug?” You say in a posh accent, trying to hold back a laugh and he groans, shoving you backward
“Oh shut up!”
“Didn’t you literally launch her half-naked ass out of bed last week when you slept over so you could sleep in the middle next to me?” Eddie comes over, sipping his coffee and you turn back to Buck, your hands on your hips
“I literally had my body on your body! And you think cursing in front of me is an issue? I thought we were friends” You pout at him, your eyes wet and wide. You make a little whimpering noise and he crumbles, yanking you into his chest and crushing you against him. You let out a little oof as you hit his chest, your arms wrap around his waist and he can feel his heart lurch.
You belong there, you fit so perfectly in his arms, into his body, into his life. He looks down at you as you look up at him smiling
“There’s my Buck” You whisper and he cups your face, his thumbs smoothing over your cheeks as he stares into your eyes, those beautiful eyes that constantly haunt his dreams
“Y-your Buck?” He repeats, and he swears up and down your eyes flick to his lips for just a second.
Eddie can feel the tension radiating between you two as he stands there sipping his coffee. He’s been making fun of you daily for your crush on Buck. Whenever you try to make fun of him for his crush, he says he “freely owns up to it” which is hilarious considering he’s never done anything about it because “he was scared to ruin their friendship”
No, he was scared Buck would reject him.
“So why are you wearing his shirt?” Eddie sets his cup down and Buck recoils away from you, his hands immediately stuffing themselves into his pockets
“Uh- yeah!” He coughs awkwardly and runs a hand through his hair, tugging at it a little “What’s up with that?”
You look over at Eddie, he’s got a shit-eating grin on his face and you could just rip that stupid mustache off his face because he knows what he interrupted
“It was on your floor,” you tell him, a little edge to your voice, “I thought it was yours”
“I’m pretty sure we wear different sizes” Eddie mumbles as he reaches out for your hand, you take it and he pulls you over to him slowly, appreciating the way Buck's shirt hangs on you, looks almost as good as his own
“I think you look good in it… right?” He cups your face, a mirror image of what had just been happening and he looks over at Buck for a moment before leaning in and kissing you. His hands slide down to your sides and he pulls to into his body, bending you back a little
“Eddie!” You giggle and kiss him back, moaning into his mouth as he slips his tongue past your lips, you melt into his arms as your tongues tangle together and he lifts you onto the counter.
"S-so good" He mumbles, his sandwich definitely long forgotten about as his eyes travel over both of your bodies
Buck hasn’t looked away, not once. He couldn’t even if he tried, he watches Eddie’s hands slide under your- no, his shirt and grip your waist. Your fingers trail over the front of Eddie’s work shirt, feeling over his chest and fumbling to unbutton it when Buck finally gains his senses back
“Jesus-“ It comes out more of a breathy moan and that gets both of your attention.
“You realize we’re at work right?! L-like our entire team is downstairs??”
He tries to recover, he’s wringing a dishcloth in his hands nervously as he looks around frantically because someone is going to fucking catch him thirsting over his best friend and his best friend’s girlfriend. He’s not sure when Eddie got into his equation, but seeing your hands slowly unbuttoning Eddie’s top made him want to see what was under there. You know, even if he already knew technically
“We’re just kissing” you tease him, tilting your head as Eddie slides his hands up your thighs now… hiking your skirt up higher
Buck whimpers, watching your skirt ride up, and Eddie chuckles into your shoulder, laying his head against it. He turns to look at Buck, biting his lip before lifting his head
“He’s right baby, we could get caught” He helps you down off the counter as you groan and whine and Buck can finally fucking breathe
“Oh don’t be such a brat” Eddie scoffs and smacks your butt, making you squeak.
“Why does he get to make us stop!” You point a finger at Buck and Eddie shrugs.
“He’s cute?”
If Buck wasn’t already a sweet shade of crimson he’d be on fire probably. His mouth drops open and your eyes widen playfully before you giggle
Your reserved only for Eddie giggle
“Yeah I s’pose he is, isn’t he?” You turn to look at him, your hair spilling over your shoulder and Buck loses his breath. Because there you are, in all your beauty and your equally as hot boyfriend standing against you now, his arm around your waist and he suddenly feels this visceral need to just be standing behind you as Eddie kisses one side of your neck and he kisses the other
He can just feel you against him, the way your head would tilt up to look at him, your eyes hazy and half-lidded. His cock buried so deep inside you as Eddie ate you out at the same time, occasionally licking the base of his dick
He’s not sure how long he’s been staring into space, but you’re in front of him now, taking the towel from his hands before he rips it apart and setting it on the counter
“I’ll come pick you up after work, Eddie” You give him a nervous smile and kiss him and he nuzzles his nose against yours before kissing you back
“Alright baby girl”
You look up at Buck, resting your hand on his arm and he shudders, a full body shudder as he feels your soft skin on his
“You still coming for dinner tonight? It’s okay if you can’t”
You give him an out, a way to not be sucked into whatever it is that’s about to happen. It’s okay if he doesn’t want to, you’d understand and it would hurt, but you’d understand if he couldn’t be in a relationship with you and Eddie.
“I don’t know,” He says shakily and you nod, a little smile on your face as Eddie goes to walk you out.
Eddie’s in the locker room later, changing into his civvies. He pulls his shirt down over his head and straightens it out. He and Buck haven’t talked since the whole kitchen debacle. In fact, Buck has been actively avoiding him for the last three hours and he’s starting to panic.
That’s a lie, he’s been frantically texting you for the last three hours saying Buck won’t acknowledge him and he doesn’t know what to do about it and you’ve been frantically texting back, both of you in all caps, telling Eddie to be cool it’ll be fine just be cool and that you both have to be like normal about it!
Eddie grabs his bag from his locker and shuts it
“Hey uh, Y/N is gonna be here soon, said she’s on her way” he waves his phone, sighing as Buck still doesn’t look at him.
“So… I just. I want to apologize for earlier”
Buck’s hands stall over the zipper of his bag
“I, I might have- Okay well I know I probably crossed a line. I shouldn’t- I shouldn’t have called you cute and-“
“Do you think I am?” Buck finally freaking talks just as they hear the truck’s horn honk from outside. He grabs his bag and starts to walk out and Eddie trails after him, a little dumbfounded
“Shit- I mean. Yeah. You are”
Eddie opens the front door of the truck and leans against it, gesturing “You comin?”
You perk up as you unbuckle your seatbelt to get in the back so Eddie can drive, Buck looks at you frowning a little
“You changed?”
You’re wearing one of your crop tops now instead of his shirt, in fact, you’ve got it nicely folded on your bed at home in order to give it back to him
“Uh- yeah,” You say quietly and he shrugs as he pulls himself into the truck
“Damn, I thought you looked nice in it.”
The drive back is way less tense than it's been, the radio plays quietly in the background as the boys tell you about their days. You’re lying across the seat laughing as Eddie pulls into the driveway. Buck told you all about how Eddie slipped getting out of the truck and went rolling under it.
“I could have been hurt!” He yells at you and Buck cackling as you’re walking away from him and to the house. You unlock the door and both boys toss their bags into the corner. Eddie's arms wrap around your waist again and he lifts you, you wrap your legs around his waist and smirk a little
“We’ll be right back” Eddie’s already kissing your neck, his voice is muffled
“Make yourself at home!” You say cheerfully like he doesn’t already have half his laundry here anyway as Eddie jogs back to your bedroom. You laugh as he kicks the door shut behind you and tosses you down on the bed. He pulls off his shirt and stands over you as you lay in bed with your legs open
“Did he say anything?” You ask quietly as he removes his pants next and throws them to the pile on the floor
“He just asked If I thought he was cute” Eddie sighs. He crawls up the bed and rests between your legs, his body settling warmly against yours
“Maybe you should tell him” You smooth his hair back, lifting his head so he’ll look at you.
“You think so?”
“Mhmmm” You purr as Eddie leans back down and kisses your chest, inhaling your sweet perfume. He slaps your thigh and drags himself out of bed, pulling on a clean T-shirt on over his head and winking back at you
“Get dressed, come out when I text you”
This was either going to go really really well or really really horribly and Eddie’s nervous as hell. It’s a step that Buck even came over right? Like- like he’s cool now, right?
Eddie comes into the kitchen and grabs two beers, popping the lids. Buck comes in after him, running a hand through his hair and sighing as he takes the one Eddie offers
“Thanks”
Eddie nods silently as he leans against the counter. Buck is across from him, he’d changed in the guest room. His sweatpants hang low on his hips, drawing eddies eyes to the thin patch of skin that peeks out from under his shirt. Buck smirks a little, and toys with his shirt, pretending to be picking something off of it and raising it higher instead. Eddie lazily trails his eyes up his body, enjoying his toned physique then clears his throat
“I’ve seen the way you look at my girlfriend”
Buck looks at him over his beer before setting it down on the counter “What do you mean?” He says it like he wasn’t just jerking off in the work bathroom earlier today. That was why he couldn’t face Eddie. He immediately ran away to the bathrooms after you’d left and got off to the images of you and Eddie both going down on him
Eddie chuckles as he sets his phone down “You look at her the same way I do when I’m ready to fuck her brains out.. at least, that’s how you looked this afternoon anyway. Ive been watching you for a while, Buck. Don’t think I haven’t seen the way you melt when she’s hugging you or the way your eyes linger on her ass when I’ve got it in my hands”
Buck gulps, looking away from him for a second “Okay, and?”
“That’s all you’ve got to say?”
You scoff a little as you come into the kitchen. Buck is a little distracted by the way your robe looks like you secretly murdered your old man husband and now you’re a young rich widow. Okay, it’s super distracting for a minute, until he finally really looks through the sheer material and you’re wearing very…very little. As in, some contraption of basically just ties wrapped around your body to simulate clothes, and a tiny little pair of crotch-less panties. The garters are a good touch. In fact, he’s sure that thin piece of lace is covering your body more than anything else is
“I’m in love with you” Buck blurts out and Eddie snorts, going to the liquor cabinet and getting something a little stronger out and three shot glasses
“Oh, we knew that, didn’t we baby girl?” He hands you a glass of clear liquid and you knock it back
“We did,” You say cheerfully “I’m in love with you too” you admit a little more shyly than he had. Eddie passes him a glass and he immediately takes it, drinking it straight down with no hesitation.
“I’ve- I’ve felt so guilty. Eddie, I’m so sorry I didn’t- fuck I didn’t mean to fall for her man and I didn’t mean to fall for you either and-
“If you’re okay with it-“ Eddie interrupts him as he drinks his own and you start to refill the glasses “I’m into you too”
“I’m more than okay with that” Buck laughs a little, holding his face in his hands and letting out a relieved sigh. It felt so good to finally get this off his chest, it had been months and it felt even better you two were completely on board.
“Fuck I didn’t think this was how this was going to happen. Hell I never thought it would”
“Do- is- is this something you want?” You ask, passing them their shots “Are…Are we something you want?”
Buck picks you up and sets you down on the counter, taking his shot and connecting his lips with yours. He tastes warm and spicy like whatever Eddie had you all drinking. Your arms automatically wrap around his neck and pull him closer. It’s a little messy and uncoordinated but you feel alive, it's the same way you feel with Eddie.
He reaches over and entwines his fingers with Eddie’s, pulling him closer to the two of you
“You’re something I want more than anything in this world” He whispers against your lips. He turns to Eddie now, his cheeks flushed from the alcohol and the intense emotions going through all of you
“And so are you”
You wriggle excitedly in his arms, watching the way he and Eddie stare at each other like they’re about to eat each other right in front of you. You rub your hands together, laughing evilly because fuck this is about to be a good night. Eddie rolls his eyes at you, shoving your head away and calling you a dork while you bat at his arm
“You really sure you want into this???”

"Diamonds are made under pressure, aren't they?"
Summary: It's about treading the line between 'diamonds are made under pressure' and 'bread only rises through rest', describing the struggles of two people that come with being described as one of the best drivers to ever exist and the smartest person in the room
Pairing: Max Verstappen x engineer!reader

“Diamonds are made under pressure.”
This is a sentence, a one-liner, that has been thrown at (Y/N) through an off-sentence by a friend during one of their most stressful weeks of university. Ever since she lived by it. It was one of the mantras she retold herself over and over again during one of too many all-nighters, only accompanied by sugary energy drinks and crippling anxiety about her future if she doesn't get through this assignment on time.
In the end it all, meaning the late nights and early mornings in libraries, study halls and classrooms, was worth it, the grind she held through her bachelors in engineering got her a seat on the Red Bull Racing team in Formula 1. Ultimately, it brought her to her true love, Max Verstappen.
They have similar mindsets, after all, there is always room for improvement and why wait for it when you can do it now? So many people are counting on them anyway.
This is something they have discussed during late night talks. These started back then when he was in his third year with Red Bull and (Y/N)’s first.
Max was about to leave the factory after a long day of working on the new car for the upcoming season. He stopped when he saw a light still burdening in one of the offices. Being the environmentally conscious person he is, he wanted to turn it off. Good one, Max. Without you Red Bull would go bankrupt based on the energy bills alone.
Instead of an empty office, he was met with wide eyes. “Uh, I apologize for running in like that. I thought somebody forgot to turn off the light”, the driver explained his sudden appearance.
After recovering from the initial shock of having her door thrown open out of the blue, (Y/N) was quick to put Max back at ease. “Oh no, it’s fine. I guess it really is late. I just wanted to run the suggestions you made to the team through a simulation and see if the outcome really does change like you expect it to.” The young woman smiled tiredly at him before continuing punching some numbers into her computer and sipping on a can of Red Bull (the orange one is the best, you can’t change my mind).
“You don’t sound convinced by my idea too much”, he noticed with a small grin of his own, “Was what I said not smart?” He still whacked his brain whether or not she was with the team he worked with today. He surely would remember, right?
“Oh, I would know what you said word for word, I was with the other driver today. But Mike gave me the notes and why wait to put what you suggested to work when I can do it now?” (Y/N) winks at him.
“And still you think it won’t work.” And with that they started an in depth discussion about the outcome that is to be expected with the proposed changes. In the middle of another Maxplaining (Y/N) just turned her computer screen towards the man leaning against the doorway, proving her point she told him from the beginning of their conversation.
“Well, I guess you need to explain these results to me. Maybe over a cup of coffee?”
“I definitely need to, can’t have our golden boy lack knowledge in the field of engineering. We want these Championship wins.” With that she packed her back. “I know a place that’s still open.”
Born with that are many more discussions, partially very heated even, that could only be solved by getting one of the heavy textbooks out that (Y/N) still kept from her uni days. Sometimes held over coffee in softly lighted cafes around the world, later during dinners, which are only interrupted by waiters desperately trying to get their attention to jot down their orders, and in the end they continue them in the security that only their own four walls can provide.
One time during a race weekend the whole team had a bet going on about how long the two can keep talking about the same subject. After two hours they had to be stopped, both of them needing to follow their own programme points of the day. GP won the bet, having to listen to their conversations on a regular basis with no way to escape them, because they are vital with important key information. Still, it doesn’t mean that they are exciting.
Now, three years after that initial meeting, three WDC and two WCC have been secured since. During that time the aspiring engineer decided to pursue a masters degree in technical engineering alongside her work in the team (or more like Christian offering her a whole ride paid by Red Bull after hearing her talking about this and knowing how much extra value this brings to the upcoming seasons).
The couple’s apartment in Monaco starts to look more like a library than a living space for humans, textbooks and loose papers scattered over every available surface and the floor of their office. While the driver greatly admires his love’s determination to get through her programme with the best possible grades, he starts to worry a bit. He has heard stories from her friends and family from her time at uni and what her study habits had looked like back then.
Hell, Max himself plants his ass for more hours on the sim than probably necessary, since there is always room for improvement. But seeing his girlfriend become a zombie version of the person he got to know was definitely not what he had expected when she signed up for going back to uni.
“Schatje? I thought you wanted to join me in bed?” Max asked (Y/N) tiredly, who is still sitting in her seat at the office desk while pouring over textbooks and a writing document on her laptop. His voice tells her that he already had fallen asleep, but something must have woken him up. Was she talking to herself again? She tends to do that when getting lost in her own world of equations and laws of physics.
“Yes, I will be with you in a minute. Let me just write this down, I finally understood that concept”, the engineer waved him off absentmindedly, the other hand retracing a line in a book, which has been assaulted by differently colored highlighters.
But Max is nothing but a stubborn man and if life had taught him one lection then it’s to never give up easily. “Come on, it’s really late and all your smart thoughts will still be there after you get some sleep”, he tried convincing her, moving closer and massaging the tension away from his girlfriend’s shoulders.
“I told you, I’ll be there in a sec. But a masters thesis doesn’t write itself and I would deeply appreciate it if you would leave me be to finish this up.” Frustration starts to set in (Y/N)’s voice.
Max is not irritated by it at all. He had been the same, if not worse, to her in his most challenging moments of his career. He knows that he can be a harsh person, unfortunately even to his loved ones. But that also means he knows how to deal with harsh people.
“You know what, I’ll put the kettle on and make us a cup of tea while you wrap this up and we meet again in the bedroom. Okay?” Softly spoken, the Dutchman proposes the idea to her.
(Y/N) can’t really say no to this, knowing that her brain wouldn’t be able to process and absorb much more information anyways. Still, there is a certain guilt gnawing on her conscience whenever she is about to take a break from her studies.
With puppy dog eyes the engineer looks up to her boyfriend. “Can you make it a hot chocolate, please? And maybe some of the cookies you brought home from the bakery?” Her small voice is enough to ask Max to do nothing short of a murder and he would say yes without wasting any thoughts on it. “Of course, Schatje. Anything for my smart and brilliant girl.” He presses a kiss on her forehead before disappearing from the office.
Not long after this the couple finds themselves sipping from their mugs with some calming music playing in the background and munching on some treats.
“My love, I feel like when I talk to you now about the importance of taking breaks and resting, we both will have a déjà-vu,” Max says with a small smile.
He is not wrong. They actually talked about it a couple of months ago when Max had to be dragged off the sim, because he had been stressing himself out about a particular race way too much to consider it a healthy try to improve.
“I know, I know. It’s just, being smart is not easy and I try to live up to the title of the clever woman in my family and in the team,” (Y/N) confesses quietly. The driver puts his arm around her shoulders and pulls her further into his embrace.
“What do you mean, Schatje? What do you have to live up to?” Murmurs are whispered into her hair.
“It can be hard, being the smart one. Because as soon as people catch on, they start expecting things from you. Suddenly, you are knowledgeable in every single subject available on earth. You become other people’s measurement scale. When they get something right and you wrong, they will rub it into your face.
You have to do great things, because they want you to do that. You will get pressured into using your intellect to the fullest extent, because otherwise they say your potential is wasted. Nobody wants you to do that, it would be a shame. Apparently to everybody and their mother.
This is why I sometimes hate to be the smart one. No one wants me to be average, they need me to be exceptional. That’s why I have to study hard and read everything there is on this subject. And diamonds are made under pressure, aren’t they?”
Max understands the kind of pressure that is on her. He felt like that for the majority of his life, having to exceed the expectations of other people over and over again, because only meeting them just is not enough.
Either he is the best driver out there or he shouldn’t even bother to try. That is something he had been told from his early days into his driving career. He lived by it like it was the only truth that mattered.
This was until he met her. (Y/N) showed him that trying is better than never starting. That his best will always be enough. Nobody has been born being a master in something. Failing is an important part of the way to perfection. Mistakes have to be made to improve, to learn what needs to be improved.
And he wants to show her that all of this also counts for her, too.
“Do you wanna know what Christian said to me a couple of months ago? ‘Just like dough, you can rise only if you rest.’ You need time to recharge to be able to do your best. Let’s take the day tomorrow off, recharge our batteries and just laze around and snooze in a bit. After tomorrow, I’ll help you study.”
A study date with Max Verstappen is too good to say no to. Whenever he quizzes (Y/N), she gets a kiss for every correct answer. So the questions might get easier over time. Still, he motivates her to do her best while looking out for her water intake and food consumption and taking regular breaks for stretching her body or going for a walk.
Max is right, you need to rest to continue achieving greatness.

She knows
She knows
She knows
Zuko had thought his feelings for Katara were his secret. He'd never spoken to anyone about them, and he hadn't been treating her any differently since he'd figured himself out. His feelings were his burden alone, and he intended to keep it that way. Still, she knows ricocheted through his mind. His heart seemed to beat in time to words in his brain as he tried to process everything. The clamoring of the soldiers rushing up the stone stairs; the sound of the stolen air ship coming up behind him; the feel of Katara's lips on his.
Her fingers were clenched tight around the collar of his shirt. Zuko had just come to his senses enough to reach for her waist, intent on pulling her closer, when suddenly Katara shoved him backwards off of the ledge of the broken balcony. An airbender would've caught themselves and vaulted back onto the stone legdge. Zuko was no airbender, though. Their airbender was...someplace else. Zuko wasn't entirely sure of where. So when Zuko landed on the deck of the airship with a bone rattling thump, shock kept him there for the time it took him to refill his lungs. By the time he scrambled to his feet, the ship was already pulling away. Zuko had just enough time to see Katara turn from him to face his father's soldiers. She was outnumbered by at least a dozen, but she stood tall and firm, and even from behind, Zuko could see the determination in her stance. She would fight and die to make sure that he got away safely.
"No!" Zuko shouted. He threw himself at the railing, intent on getting back to her by any means necessary. He would leap from the deck and figure out the rest on his way back. Two sets of strong hands kept him from enacting his plan.
"Let me go!" he demanded pulling against the hold on him. "I'm not leaving her!"
"Zuko!" Sokka shouted. He and Suki pulled hard throwing him against the wall of the ship. "Stop!"
"Turn back!" Zuko half demanded, half pleaded. "We have to go back for her!" He was met with Sokka and Suki's twin grimaces.
"We can't," Suki said, grimly. "We have to get you to safety."
"I don't care about my safety!" Zuko insisted. "I can't leave her behind! Sokka, she's your sister! How can you just-oof!" Sokka's punch didn't hurt so much as it caught Zuko off guard.
"Don't you dare!" Sokka growled. He stood over Zuko, rage radiating from him almost tangibly. "Don't you dare imply I'm not just as worried about Katara as you are. If it wasn't for the fact that we need you to survive the war, I would've thrown you back to them to save her in a heartbeat. But the next best thing I can do is make sure my sister's sacrifice isn't in vain. That mean's getting you to safety and making sure you don't do anything stupid like trying to take on a whole troop of firebending soldiers.
A thousand arguments flew through Zuko's mind. They were superimposed over the image of Katara facing those same solders in his mind. Everything in him was demanding they turn around that instant and rescue Katara. His gambit for the throne was meaningless in comparison to Katara's safety. So what if she had willingly sacrificed herself? So what if he were summarily executed by his father, or even his sister? His own life meant nothing if Katara weren't in it.
Sokka was right, though. Zuko was loathe to admit it, but he was right. Katara knew what she was doing, even if Zuko was certain she didn't understand the full consequence. She'd saved his life. Again. Impotent and helpless as he felt watching her do it, she'd done it willingly. She'd done it strategically. His heart railed against it, but his mind knew why she'd done it. He had the best claim to the throne, after all. They'd talked about it to exhaustion. He'd told Katara all his worries, and she'd calmed them with her certainty that he was the Fire Lord his nation deserved. He'd never gotten the chance to tell her that he though she was the Fire Lady his nation needed, though they didn't deserve her by a long shot. He'd never told her that though he didn't deserve her, he needed her. Like he needed water.
She knew, though. She knew his weakness, and she'd used it. Zuko could still feel the pressure of her lips on his. Could still feel the way her hand tightened on his collar as she prepared to shove him away even while she was pulling him closer. She knew what she could do to him even in the midst of battle.
"They probably won't kill her," Suki said quietly. Both Sokka and Zuko looked up sharply.
"What?" Sokka gasped.
"They probably won't kill her," Suki repeated. "She's too valuable a prisoner. The daughter of the Southern Water Tribe chief? The... the friend of Prince Zuko? She's useful. If she surrenders, she will have a fighting chance." Suki's mouth was pressed into a thin, grim line. She was upset, too, Zuko realized. Maybe almost as upset as Sokka and Zuko were. Only almost, though. Zuko couldn't imagine his future without Katara in it, and Sokka had always been his sister's protector. As Zuko met Sokka's eye across the deck, he knew the Water Tribe warrior had made the same decision he had. If Katara was alive, neither would rest until she was safe again. The details of their rescue mission would have to wait until they could discuss them in private, but they would be going after her.

Hello my dear!!! So - I know your requests are closed for now, but I just had to tell you I am OBSESSED with your Danny Ric x Sunshine series, and I had a thought for once they’re open again… I know that Sunshine isn’t famous or anything, but what if she dated someone who was/is before she started dating Danny (ex. Joe Jonas)? Like maybe they were childhood sweethearts or something, and her ex shows up at the Miami GP as a musical guest or something and Danny goes FERAL and protective of Sunshine? I just think it would be so cute and fluffy 😍🥰
you are a cutie🥹thank you for requesting!!! i changed it a wee bit but i hope you enjoy! and sorry for making you wait so long🫶🏽
.
It wasn’t unusual for there to be famous faces dotted around the garage during the race weekend.
Daniel was used to it and, if he was being completely honest, he enjoyed it. He enjoyed seeing familiar faces around the paddock, talking and chatting with them and meeting new and old fans alike. He was a social butterfly and he thrived in these situations, even if some drivers found it a little distracting or stressful when they were trying to get on with their jobs. Usually, Daniel loved it.
Except when these celebrities couldn’t seem to catch the hint.
You were gorgeous. Hell, in the eyes of Daniel, you were the prettiest human to ever walk the goddamn Earth. He was obsessed with you. He worshipped the ground you walked on. You were his sun and his life revolved around you and your love. He pinched himself every day that you chose to be with him, to love him, to be his forever partner.
However, it seemed one of Red Bull’s recent garage guests didn’t seem to catch the hint that you were not single nor were you ready to mingle.
If he was being honest, he didn’t know who the guy was. He had heard from a few team members that he was some big, upcoming actor that most of the world was going crazy for but Daniel didn’t care. He didn’t care if the man was the biggest name in the world. He was going after Daniel’s girl and he didn’t like that one bit.
Most guests tended to stick to their guided tours or near the back so they were out of the team’s way, yet this actor seemed to have gravitated towards you. He had been blatant in his attempts with flirting and chatting with you, going as far as leaning on the table you were currently working on until it became near impossible to continue with your job. He could see the discomfort in your face, could see the way you were getting progressively more annoyed and, despite knowing you could handle yourself, the last thing he wanted was you to be on the frog page after punching the douche in the face (even if it would've been well-deserved in his eyes).
“Got a problem here, mate?”
The man—his name was on the tip of his tongue but he couldn’t bring himself to care to remember—turned away from you to look at the approaching driver. “Hey, Daniel, right? Huge fan. You’ve got a great team here.”
“Yeah, the best of the best,” Daniel said as he slided in behind you, his hand resting on your shoulder as your body relaxed under his touch. “Sunshine here has the best brain you could ask for in Formula One.”
The man’s gaze slid back down to you, his lips twitching upwards in what you assumed was meant to be a charming smile. “So, your name is Sunshine?”
You opened your mouth to reply, but Daniel beat you to it.
“Ha no, I can call her Sunshine,” he said with a massive smile on your face, one that would leave the people around you and out of ear shot to believe this was a happy conversation. “You can mind your own fucking business.”
The man’s face immediately soured. “Excuse me?”
“You’re a guest, courtesy of Red Bull, and that is the only reason I’m not dragging your sorry ass out of the paddock,” Daniel continued, stepping a little closer so you were leaning back against him. “Now, you can leave now or you can sit in the back of the garage like a good dog and leave my girl alone to do her work. What’s it gonna be?”
“You can’t talk to me like that,” he insisted with a scoff. “Do you know who I am?”
“No, but I don’t really care. You’re on my turf right now, and what I say goes. If I don’t want you here, you’ll be gone with a snap of my fingers.” Daniel stated so casually, like his whole body wasn’t humming with the desire to just punch the guy in the face. “Piss off now.”
You had barely waited until he was gone before you spun around in your seat, looking up at him with an amused smile. “Are you taking lessons from Max or something? That felt very Mad Max-coded.”
Daniel rolled his eyes. “I was teaching him a lesson.”
“No, you were jealous and it was hot,” you corrected with a grin as you reached towards him, your arms winding around his torso. “But thank you. I was two seconds away from throwing my laptop at his head.”
He laughed as he leaned down, hands gently holding your hair back as he kissed you. “Always here to be your knight in shining armour, Sunshine.”

Strolling down the prison corridors, the sterile white tiles and harsh fluorescent light amplified a feeling of isolation, as well as a headache. “I’m gonna go alone,” Bucky admitted, addressing both you and Sam. Just as Sam questioned his decision, you objected with a firm “No,” as your mind went back to the last time Bucky was alone with Zemo.
“You’re an Avenger. You know how he feels about that.” Bucky continued, answering Sam's question as he shot you a warning glance that silently said, “Don’t push it,”. You didn’t say anything else while he gave Sam more reasons for him to go alone, you let out a sigh as you watched him leave.
Anxiety began to rise throughout your body as you stood waiting, Sam sensed your apprehension about the return of The Winter Soldier. “He’ll be alright,” he said as he placed a comforting hand on your shoulder in reassurance.
Your hand instinctively reached up to rub your neck as you responded, “I’ll believe it when he comes back and doesn’t attempt to kill me,” your memories flooded with your first encounter with Bucky. “Again.”
That day on the bridge changed you. Never before had you been on a mission that came so close to disaster. His right hand effortlessly closed around your neck, you tried to fight back with punches, and kicks and even tried reaching for your gun. He maintained a distance that prevented you from gaining any ground.
Just in the last second, the shield slammed into his back, which forced him to release his grip, sending you tumbling to the ground.
~
Your eyes sparked with relief at Bucky’s return, and his expression mirrored yours. You suppressed the urge to rush forward and embrace Bucky, absent from The Winter Soldier. As he walked over to you, he instructed you and Sam to follow him.
Guided by Bucky, you ventured into the dimly lit garage, relying on flashlights and Bucky’s hand to navigate. You reached for it the second you stepped into the darkness and stuck close to him as he and Sam debated the merits and risks of freeing Zemo. The tension in the air kept you silent until Bucky located the light switch. With a sigh of relief, you exhaled deeply. As you relaxed into the newfound brightness, you slipped your hand out of Bucky’s.
“I didn’t do anything,” Bucky retorted to Sam. Recognizing his tone of voice, betraying his statement, you knew he had indeed done something. Concern gripped you as you wondered what it could be. Your attention was focused on him as he outlined a plan to free Zemo.
Startled by the door slamming shut, you instinctively moved toward the source. To your surprise, it was Zemo. He strolled into the garage as if it was his own. Maybe it was? “What the fuck, Bucky?!” you exclaimed, joining Sam in a heated exchange with Bucky about this turn of events. As Zemo attempted to interject, all three of you shut him down with a simultaneous “No!”.
“When Steve refused to sign the Sokovia Accords, you both backed him. You both broke the law, and you stuck your necks out for me.” Bucky shifted his gaze between you and Sam, the weight of the past heavy in your eyes, tears threatening to spill. “I’m asking you to do it again.” he pleaded, his gaze softened as he looked down at you, brushing a stray piece of hair behind your ear. You nodded, affirming your loyalty to Bucky as Sam commanded rules to Zemo before agreeing.
~
Sitting on a private jet beside Bucky and across from Zemo felt surreal. Their casual conversation with Sam about Marvin Gaye seemed out of place, prompting you to feign sleep, keeping your eyes closed for most of the journey. Your attention snapped back to them when they mentioned Madripoor, the destination you headed to. Intrigue sparked within you as Zemo started the topic of disguises. They have secretly been one of your favorite aspects of being an agent since the beginning.
“Don’t touch her,” Bucky’s voice growled a warning, causing you to snap out of your feigned sleep. You opened your eyes just in time to see Zemo reaching towards your shoulder. Grateful for Bucky’s protective instinct, you glanced around feeling disoriented. Bucky was almost on his feet, presumably to stop Zemo physically.
“Apologies,” Zemo directed to Bucky, who seemed to calm down after Zemo retreated. Zemo then brought his attention back to you. “I have picked out a dress for you to wear, Agent, to blend in,” he gestured toward the door of the jet’s toilet.
~
Unzipping the dress bag, you were surprised by the beautiful red material and its intricate details. Who would have thought Zeemo had such good taste? Without any hesitation, you shed your casual yet tactical wear and slid into the dress. You admired how it hugged your body perfectly. Rushing to see the final look, you adorned yourself with the accessories he had chosen as well.
Stepping out of the bathroom, you revealed your new identity to your team, Bucky, Sam, and Zemo. Bucky’s eyes widened in surprise, Sam whistled appreciatively, and Zemo offered a polite nod of approval.
“Not a chance,” Bucky’s voice cut through the moment, his gaze bore into you as you walked out wearing the red dress, its neckline plunging and the hem barely covering anything below your waist, your back exposed.
Confusion flickered across your face as you turned to him, he was looking you up and down with only his eyes still seated. “Excuse me?”
His jaw tensed as he continued to assess your appearance, “You’re not wearing that,” he stated firmly.
Your eyebrows furrowed in disbelief, “And, since when did you get an opinion?” you shot back, defiance in your voice as you met his gaze.
The tension on the jet thickened as Bucky maintained his stance. Sam sensed the conflict brewing, he decided to step in and attempt to diffuse the situation.
“Okay, let’s just take a minute,” He interjected, his voice was calm yet authoritative. “We’ve got more important things to worry about-”
“I’m serious,” Bucky interrupted, insisting you wouldn’t be wearing the dress. “You’ll draw too much attention.”
“This dress will not compromise the mission,” you began, your voice steady. “I’ve been in the ‘arm candy’ role for Steve enough to know what I’m doing.” you noticed the shift in his demeanor as his body tensed at the thought of you and Steve being perceived as intimate.
Sam nodded in agreement with you, “She’s got a point, Bucky,” Sam interjected, affirming your statement. He had witnessed this act on a few occasions now to know you’re right. Bucky hesitated, torn between his protective and possessive instincts over you or respecting the supposed end of your so-called relationship. After a moment of silence, a begrudging “Fine.” cut through the tension.

Teen spirit
Pairing: Carl Grimes x reader
Warnings: Swearing, main character death, violence
Chapter: 7.01
Your eyes sting when tears roll down your cheeks, leaving a horrible salty taste on your dry lips. The sound of Negan’s wooden bat pounding into someone's skull over and over was horrific. Negan pretended to play a game of eenie meenie miney mo while deciding who to kill, but he already had his mind made up.
“Show them no goddamn fear.”
Negan picked Abraham because he showed him no fear. For all you thought he could be an asshole, at times Abraham was brave, and he risked his life multiple times to save others. He was a hero, and he was loved.
“Did you hear that?” Negan chuckles. “He said, Suck my nuts!”
A couple of the men laugh behind him. Negan swings his bat around, causing blood to splatter across Rick’s face. His eyes move along the line up looking for someone else to torment, and when he gets to the end, he smiles.
“Oh shit girly, that wasn’t your daddy, was it?”
You can’t hold back the sob that escapes your mouth. Rosita was a hysterical mess beside you, and you’d never seen Rick look so terrified before. Would anyone get out of this alive? You wished your dad was with you; he always knew how to make you feel better.
Negan crouches down so he’s eye level with you. “Tell me, am I the worst man you’ve ever met?”
You wipe at your nose before letting out a shaky breath. “No, I’ve met a worse man than you.”
Negan smirks at your answer; he enjoys scaring you. You sob when he uses the bloodied bat to stroke the strands of your hair that had fallen in front of your face, leaving small parts of Abraham's blood in your hair. Horrified, you try to brush it out with your fingers, but Negan did the same thing but on the opposite side of your head.
“Leave her alone!” Daryl snaps; he leaps to his feet and punches Negan in the face.
“No!” You are screaming and watching as two men start to beat Daryl. “He’s sorry, just stop it! Please, please don’t hurt him!”
Negan chuckles. “That? Oh my. That is a no, no. The whole thing, not one bit of that shit flies here.”
Dwight steps out of the crowd and points Daryl’s own crossbow at him while he’s pinned to the ground. “Do you want me to do it?”
“No.” Negan had a sadistic smile on his face. “No, you don’t kill them... not until you try a little.”
Dwight looks confused for a moment, but he grabs Daryl and drags him back to his space in the line-up.
“And anyway, that’s not how it works. Now I already told you people the first ones are free, but I said I would shut that shit down! No exceptions.”
Your breath catches in your throat when Negan steps closer to your side of the line-up. He was going to kill one of you next. You close your eyes, not wanting to see the bat coming.
“Now, I don’t know what kind of lying asses you’ve been dealing with, but I am a man of my word. First impressions are important. I need you to know me. So… back to it.”
Your eyes flicker open, and you scream, seeing the bat covered in barbed wire and blood coming down towards you, but Negan doesn’t hit you; he hits Glenn, who was right beside you.
Glenn survives two blows to the head, but one of his eyes was popping out of his head. He manages to lift his head; he was in so much pain, grunting and sputtering blood from his mouth.
“Are you still there, buddy?” Negan asks mockingly. “I just don’t know. It seems like you’re trying to speak, but you just took a hell of a hit. I’ve hit your skull so hard your eyeball just popped out, and it is gross as shit!”
“Maggie, I’ll find you.”
Maggie sobs in response to Glenn’s final words before Negan counts to beat him. He continues to hit him until his skull is completely destroyed.
“You bunch of pussies! I’m just getting started.”
You feel as if you struggle to breathe when parts of Glenn's brain land across your lap. After your father died, you looked to Rick, Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, and Abraham for strength; they were the ones who kept your community safe. And now the blood of two of them was quite literally on your hands.
“Lucile is thirsty; she is a vampire.”
Maggie was distraught. First your mom and brother, then your dad, then Beth, and now Glenn were gone. You just pray to God that if you make it out alive, she doesn’t lose her baby.
“Now back to you.” Negan points his bat directly in front of your face, causing you to tremble with fear; seeing the blood drip off it so closely to your face causes you to freeze. “Which one of my men stabbed you?”
You’re unable to speak.
“Come on now, kid, you won’t get in trouble for telling me.”
Your eyes darted around the circle of men who were standing and watching Negan torment you all. You finally spot the man who stabbed, “h—h—him.” You swallow thickly, terrified of what was to come next. “It was him who stabbed me.”
Negan walks over to the man and pats him on the shoulder, then brings him out of the circle. “This man right here attacked you.”
You nod.
Negan swings his bat again and strikes the man across the face, causing him to scream in pain. But unlike Glenn and Abraham, he doesn’t beat them to death. “As you said, he’s a man who took the easiest option by stabbing a little girl. I can’t have that.”
Before you know it, the sun is starting to rise again. You do your best to avoid looking to your left. The daylight only meant it was easier to see what was left of Glenn.
Your heart drops when the RV pulls up to where you are all still kneeling, the outside of it covered in blood. Negan had taken Rick somewhere, and you expected him to be the next victim, but to your surprise, the door opens and Negan shoves out of the van.
“Rick, do you even know what that little trip was about?”
Rick doesn’t answer; he’s in complete shock.
Negan sighs, “Speak when you’re spoken to.”
“Okay, okay.”
“That trip was about the way you looked at me. I wanted to change that. I wanted you to understand, but you’re still looking at me like that. Like I shit in your scrambled eggs, but that’s not going to work. So... Do I give you another chance?”
“Yeah, yes. Yes.”
“Okay, alright.” Negan smiles. “The grand prize game. What you decide next will be the difference between everyone’s last crap day or just another crap day.”
Negans men step forward and put guns to the back of everyone’s head. Perhaps death would be the better option than being tortured anymore. He was continuing to torment Rick by mocking him and threatening everyone at the same time.
“Kid…” Negan wags his finger in Carl's direction. “Right here. Kid, now.”
Carl glares at him but does as he says.
Negan pulls what looks like a leather belt from the side of his black biker jacket. “Are you a southpaw?”
“A what?”
“You a lefty?”
With nothing but venom in his voice, he answers, “No.”
Negan’s amused by his attitude, “good.” He ties the belt around Carl’s arm. “That hurt?”
“No.”
“Should. It’s supposed to.” Negan steps back, “Get down on the ground, kid, next to daddy. Spread those wings.”
When Carl goes to lay on his stomach on the ground, Negan pushes on his back, forcing him onto the gravel below. “Simon, you got a pen?”
“Yeah,” Simon tosses him a black marker pen.
Negan puts the pen lid in his mouth and starts drawing on Carl's arm. When he’s done, he laughs, looking directly at Rick. “I ain’t doing shit. Rick, I want you to take your axe... cut your son's left arm off, right on that line.”
Rick looks utterly traumatized.
Negan was giving him a horrific ultimatum. Amputate Carl’s arm or watch Carl and everyone else be murdered.
“You don’t have to do this,” Michonne pleads. “We understand, we understand.”
“You understand? Yeah. I’m not sure Rick does. I’m gonna need a clean cut right there in that line. Now I know this is a screwed up thing to ask, but it’s gonna have to be like a salami slice, nothing messy. Clean. Forty-five degrees; give us something to fold over. We’ve got a great doctor; the kid will be fine. Probably.”
Rick looks completely lost in his own head, a thousand times worse than when he went a bit crazy after Lori died.
“Rick... this needs to happen now. Chop, chop. Or I’ll crush the little fella's skull in myself.”
“It can... it can... It can be me. It can be me. You can do it to me.”
“No, this is the only way. Rick picked up the axe. Not making a decision is a big decision. Oh my god, I will start counting. Three!”
“Please, please, I can be me!” Rick cries hysterically.
“Two!”
“Please, don’t do...”
Negan slaps him then grips his jaw. “This is it. One!”
Rick lets out an agonizing sob, then reaches for the axe. You cover your mouth when Rick raises the axe in the air, but right before he can do it Negan stops him. “You answer to me. You provide for me. You belong to me. Right?”
Rick nods.
“Speak when spoken to! You belong to me!”
“Yes.”
“That’s the look I wanted to see.” Negan stands with a proud look on his face. “Well, it took a while, but we got there. Even the dead guys are on the ground. Hell, they get the spirit award for sure. Today was a productive damn day! Now, I hope, for all your sake, you get it now. That you understand how things work. Dwight load him up.”
You try to reach for Daryl’s hand, but they take him. You completely zone out after that, trying to think of any happy memories buried in the back of your mind so you can block what just happened out.
You vaguely hear Maggie say she wants to fight the saviors, but her voice is so far away that it’s hard to register if it’s going on for real or inside your head.
Their blood was still on you.
Looking down, you start scratching at your hands, trying to get the blood that had dried in off your skin.
It’s not until someone’s arms wrap around your shoulders, pulling your hands apart, that you start to snap out of it. “Stop it; you’re going to hurt yourself.”
“I need to get it off.”
“And we will,” Michonne says calmly. “I’m bringing you back to Alexandria. We’ll get you cleaned up.”

Genuine question: what's the point of writing fanfic? As in, what's the purpose? No one in the fandom I'm in comments on fics and I even got told off by one person for doing so, as it "encourages bad writers and makes them think they're good". So it seems that it's a lot like book writing, where people work hard and are creative, but instead of getting paid and getting comments on the work, you just sit there silently hoping someone will press the kudos button and make a number go up. I feel like that time and work could be better spent on making something you might get some kind of profit off of. Don't get me wrong, I love doodling fanart, but I don't post it, as I'm aware that there's no point to doing so, and while it's a nice way to fill the time on a commute, it's not something that takes me as much time and effort as fanfic does. So... why do people bother? Sometimes I describe ideas I have and people I know in my fandom will tell me I should write it, but I don't see why. I get more interaction from just saying "imagine if [thing here]" than I would by sitting down, writing for hours, editing and posting [thing here], so what would the point be? I'm not punching down or going "haha women and their fanfic lol!", I genuinely do not get what the point is and this blog feels like it might have someone reading who knows the answer.

Do you make art for profit? Genuine question.
There's nothing inherently wrong with being motivated primarily by external factors, but it's not actually why a lot of people create things, whether it's books or recipes or doodles in a notepad.
I enjoy the actual process of writing.
I think many people lose sight of that aspect in an era where tons of <500-word fics that are mostly outlines and "Imagine if..." posts get disproportionate attention for being easy to consume. But the satisfaction of doing a bigger art piece and doing it right is real and motivates a hell of a lot of creation.
I suppose you might be thinking "Okay, but why not just write it alone and never post?", but I like sharing. Showing off my finished creation is part of the joy, and sharing with other people like me is too. But those aren't quite the same thing as worrying about kudos. It's like dressing nicely when you leave the house because you feel great when you know you look good vs. needing another person to tell you you look good.
To be honest, though, this type of feeling has grown in me the better I've gotten at a craft. The closer my finished projects get to the vision in my head, the easier it is to find them fulfilling and to be excited to share them. When I fall short of my own ambitions, it's discouraging no matter how much attention I might get from others.
I feel like it's time for my regular reblog of Adam Westbrook's video essay series The Long Game.

The third and least known in the series is all about this idea of who you're making art for if you're not getting material rewards in the short term. It talks a lot about autotelicity—being internally driven instead of externally.

But if you really just want clicks, anon, start a blog that accepts anon asks and posts about wanky stuff. Actually tag things, unlike me, so people can find you.
No, writing for attention isn't worth it.
The time investment is too great and your brain will always fixate on the times people didn't respond instead of the times they did.
But that's not actually why most people write.

On Dark Days
Tumblr media
Matt Murdock x Reader
Words: 2199
Summary: Sometimes your mind turns against you. Your partner is there to help.
Notes: Another self indulgent comfort imagine. Sometimes I just want a Matt Murdock hug, you know? As always with these, this is entirely based on my own experiences and struggles.
Warnings: Dark thoughts, mental illness, anxiety, etc.
More Matt Imagines: HERE
-
He knew something was wrong when you didn’t answer the phone. You always answered when he called, your voice holding a smile every time, making it impossible for him not to grin as well. He’d wanted to ask you what you wanted for dinner so he could pick it up, but you didn’t answer. And, fearing the worst, Matt rushed home as soon as he could, leaving a pile of work on his desk that he would just deal with later.
The apartment was still when he got home. Eerily still. But there, sounding like gunfire in the silence, was a racing heartbeat and quick, exerting breaths.
Matt sighed, but not out of relief.
He knew exactly what this was and a new kind of worry settled into his chest. There was no salt in the air, which meant you weren’t crying, which meant you were keeping it all locked inside of you. It was eating away at you and there was nothing he could do to stop it. But he could help you through.
Matt opened the door to the bedroom, finding you facing away and curled up on your side. You were on top of the covers, arms shivering and wrapped around yourself.
“I’m home,” he said silently, hoping not to scare you.
Your shoulders tensed. “Hi.”
Matt didn’t need to ask. He simply crawled into bed beside you, pulling you to his frame, arms locked tight around you to hold you against his chest. It was something he found seemed to help, a reassurance that he was there and that you weren’t falling into the dark that was consuming you.
He stayed like that for a while, not saying anything, not prying… just holding you while you shook and breathed and your heartbeat slowly calmed from your second panic attack of the night.
“That’s it,” he whispered. “Breathe in.” His chest moved against your back as he did it with you. “Breathe out. In… out…” Matt kissed the top of your head. “There you go.”
“Sorry,” you mumbled, curling up even more.
Matt shook his head. “You don’t have anything to apologize for.” He pulled you a little closer, feeling your body tense up again. You were starting to shake and your heartbeat slowly started to pick up. He knew what it was. Guilt. Guilt for feeling the way you did, for thinking you were doing something wrong. Matt held you tight, not letting you go. “Hey hey hey, it’s okay.”
“You called…” You said softly. “I should have answered. I’m sorry. I know how m-much you worry.”
“It’s okay,” Matt insisted. “You’re here. Safe. And I’m here now, okay? You aren’t alone. I’m right here.”
You could feel his steady heartbeat against your back and his hands soothingly rubbing your arms and sides.
“You’re back early from work,” you said. “It’s my fault.”
“I came back because I wanted to.” Matt kissed the base of your neck. “I want to be with you.” He knew your brain was telling you otherwise.
You stopped arguing for a while and just laid there, staring blankly at the wall in front of you.
Matt shifted a little, leaning so you could see his worried, blank eyes. “Do you want to talk about it?”
You melted into his touch.
“Do you need to talk about it?”
“Matt-”
“Sweetheart, you know it helps,” he urged gently. Matt turned you around in his arms so you were facing him. He laid a hand on your cheek. “Talk to me, baby. Please.”
His words and quiet, sweet tone hit your chest. He seemed to punch a hole through the dam. Finally, you started to cry.
“Okay.” Matt tucked your head under his chin. “It’s okay. I’ve got you.”
“I don’t…” You sucked in a shaking breath only to cough it back out with a quiet sob. “I don’t understand it. There’s nothing to talk about. Nothing h-happened.” You tried in vain to wipe away the falling tears, your hands shaking so bad they were hard to move. “I just feel so wrong.” There was one word that always described when you got like this. “Dark. Everything feels so dark.”
Matt gently brushed your tears away with his thumb, bringing you closer to kiss your forehead.
“I know, sweetheart. I know.” It shattered him to hear the quivering in your voice, but he knew that the demons that you dealt with were just that- demons. Thoughts your mind used against you. It didn’t define you. He always just tried to remind you of that. “Are you sure nothing happened?” He continued.
You burrowed closer to him.
That meant no.
“Okay, so what is it? What’s your head trying to turn around, huh?” He kept his tone a little lighter, giving you a small, reassuring smile as he tucked a hair behind your ear.
“I can’t do anything right,” you admitted. “Work. My friends… This.” You laid a hand on his chest.
Matt nodded. “And what is your mind telling you about all of that? What’s it trying to base it on?”
You started to retreat into yourself again, but Matt held strong. He rubbed smooth circles into your temples, soothing the anxiety headache that you had been trying to ignore.
“It’s okay, baby.”
You took another deep, trembling breath, speaking as you breathed out.
“I just feel like I’ve done something,” you whispered, like if you said it too loud it would become true. “I don’t know what, but everyone just seems off around me. Like they all have this secret about me that I have no idea what it is, but they won’t tell me, but it’s changing how they feel about me.” You buried your face in the crook of his neck. “I did something wrong and I don’t know how to fix it.”
“Do you think I’ve been different around you?” He asked, his tone never raising or accusing. He stayed absolutely light.
“No…” You sniffed. “I don’t know, maybe.” You brought your hands up to your face to further hide yourself. “I don’t know anything. I just know it all feels like it’s my f-fault.” Another sob escaped, muffled by your palm.
“Alright,” Matt sighed, pulling you back to him. “Let it out, sweetheart. I’m right here.”
But the energy you’d had to cry had all but gone out, leaving you shaking and sniffling in his arms. You felt so pathetic.
“You know that I’m not upset with you, right?”
You tried to turn away. “I know, but-”
“Hold on, I want you to sit with that for a second, okay?” Matt instructed, making sure you stayed locked against him, safe and loved in his embrace. “You haven’t done anything to upset me. If I’ve been different, it’s stress from work. It isn’t because of you. You didn’t do anything.” His hands found every tension in your back and gently rubbed it out. He always knew exactly how to calm you down, whether it was with touch or his soft words. “Say it for me, hm?”
You shook your head weakly.
“Y/N…” He pressed.
You blew out a sigh. “I didn’t do anything.”
“Nothing is your fault.”
“N-nothing is my fault.”
“Your head wants you to believe it, but it isn’t true.”
You looked up at him, finding his distant, dark, loving eyes absently roaming your face. “It isn’t true.”
“There.” Matt brought your lips to his for a soft, assuring kiss. “I know it's hard to get past it, but those tricky thoughts are just that- tricks.” He kissed you again, a little deeper, but still gentle and loving. He pulled away with a smile teasing his lips. “I love you, Y/N. No matter what your mind tries to tell you. I’ll always love you.”
You snuggled closer to him, finally letting yourself smile a little. “I love you too, Matty.”
It wasn’t something you could explain- why your head did this to you, why it was so hard to move some days, why there were times when all you could think about was that you were broken and unlovable. Nor could you explain how Matt was able to pull you out of the dark that consumed you. While he couldn't fix everything, he could always ground you and remind you of the things in your life you loved and the people who loved you.
Matt’s hands slowly fell to your waist, holding you close to him while he breathed you in. After a while, his cheek nuzzled against yours, a new concern building in his mind.
“Did you eat today?” He asked.
You didn’t answer.
Matt sighed. “Say it for me, sweetheart.” The two of you had been over this before as well.
“I don’t have to ‘deserve’ a meal,” you breathed out. You’d been too tired, too consumed by your thoughts to realize how hungry you were. Even if you had realized it, you wouldn’t let yourself eat when you got like this. As if you had to earn food by being happy. It was something Matt was helping you work through too.
Matt nodded and sat up. “I’m ordering your favorite and not taking no for an answer, so don’t even try.” With another little grin, he kissed you one more time before climbing out of bed to reach for his phone.
You watched him, uncurling your body for the first time in several hours. Your muscles were stiff and ached, but you embraced it. Feeling sore was better than feeling empty.
Matt wasn’t gone long, having called your favorite restaurant and ordered delivery. He also put on a record of your favorite artist, letting the music fill the living room. He returned to the bed and lifted you up in his arms without warning, spinning you around to the melody.
“Matt!” You squealed, laughter bubbling through your lips.
Matt beamed. “I knew I could get a laugh somehow.” He kissed your temple and held you close to his chest, carrying you bridal style to the living room while still swaying to the song. He took you to the couch and sat you down, wrapping you up in a blanket and walking back to the kitchen to make you some hot chocolate.
“You know… I think there’s some cookie dough left in the freezer if you’re up for it,” he offered, raising an eyebrow.
You couldn’t help but chuckle. “Is that saying you want to make cookies?”
“Hey, I’m just trying to help you,” he said, holding his hands up. A wicked grin spread across his face. “It’s not my fault if I also happen to get cookies out of it.”
“Uhuh.” You held your arms out. “Now get back here, Mr. Murdock.”
Matt brought over the warm drinks and sat down beside you, pulling you back into his arms and kissing your forehead.
“Better?” He asked softly, lips against your cheek.
You nodded, frowning. “For now anyway.”
He held you a little tighter. “If it comes back, just let me know, and we’ll work through it together, okay?”
You nodded again, this time not saying anything and just settling against him. A tightness gripped at your chest and you felt a wave of embarrassment wash over you.
“I’m sorry, Matt.”
He pulled back. “For what?”
“For making you do this. You have so much going on and I hate that I add to it.” You swallowed. “It isn’t fair of me to put this on your shoulders.”
Matt grabbed you by the arms, his thumbs rubbing soothing circles into your skin.
“Y/N, how many times have I come back here beaten to hell and thinking I can’t do it anymore? How many times have I wanted to give up the fight? To let the darkness of the world take over?” He asked. You tried to look away, but he brought a hand up to your chin to make you look at him to see the sincerity in his face. “Who was the one who reminded me that there’s good? That there’s a reason to keep going? That I matter?”
His finger swiped away a tear you didn’t realize had fallen.
“You did, Y/N,” he said. “You always do. No matter how much I want to give up, you won’t let me.” Matt kissed you, firm and sure and everything you needed. “I will be there for you as many times as you need for as long as you need because I love you.” Matt rested his forehead against yours. “It’s not how you hit the mat…”
“It’s how you get up,” you finished, giving him a small smile. You pressed your lips to his, draping your arms around him.
The food arrived and the two of you spent the rest of the night listening to music and talking about new bakeries and boxing and work and everything in between. You weren’t totally out of it by the end of the night, but with every moment in your lover’s arms, you felt more and more like yourself.
Matt couldn’t keep the dark away. He knew that. But he could help you find the light again, no matter how long it took.

Can I request headcanons for Wade would think about his gender neutral crush telling him they would if he wants it too after asking who would want to kiss him with this ugly face please?
Hidden in Laughter
The safe house was filled with laughter as the group huddled around the small table, trading stories and jokes after another successful mission. Wade was in the middle of it all, throwing out one-liners and crude jokes like they were going out of style. It was his usual defense mechanism—a way to keep everyone laughing so they didn’t look too closely at him.
"And that’s when I told him, ‘Who’d want to kiss a face like this?’” Wade said with a chuckle, gesturing to his scarred features. His tone was light, but there was a flicker of something else in his eyes. “I mean, come on, can you imagine anyone wanting to wake up to this every morning? It’s like Freddy Krueger and a rotten avocado had a baby, and that baby was punched repeatedly by bad luck.”
The group laughed, used to Wade’s self-deprecating humor. It was easier to laugh than to acknowledge the pain underneath his words. Logan rolled his eyes, not in the mood for Wade’s antics, and Peter nearly choked on his soda as he tried to suppress his giggles.
But you—you didn’t laugh. Instead, you watched Wade carefully, your heart sinking a little at how easily he brushed off his own insecurities with humor.
As the evening wore on and the group began to disperse, you found yourself alone with Wade. He was still leaning against the table, his mask off and his face lit by the dim overhead light. His earlier bravado had faded, leaving him looking a little more vulnerable than usual.
“Everyone’s gone, huh?” Wade said, glancing around the empty room. “Guess it’s just you and me, sweetheart. Or should I say, just you and Freddy Avocado?”
He tried to laugh, but it came out forced, and the silence that followed felt heavier than before. You took a deep breath, steeling yourself for what you were about to say.
“You know, Wade… when you said that thing earlier, about no one wanting to kiss you…” you began, your voice soft but steady.
Wade waved his hand dismissively. “Ah, don’t worry about it. Just my charming way of keeping things light. No one likes a pity party, right?”
“No, I’m serious,” you interrupted, taking a step closer to him. “When you said that… I couldn’t stop thinking that… I would. If you wanted it.”
Wade froze, his eyes widening behind his mask. For a moment, it was like all the air had been sucked out of the room. He looked at you like he couldn’t quite believe what you’d just said.
“Y-you would?” Wade stammered, his voice uncharacteristically shaky. “You’d want to kiss me? With this…?” He gestured at his face, his usual bravado completely gone.
You smiled gently, reaching out to place a hand on his arm. “Yeah, Wade. I would.”
Before he could say anything else, you leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, right over one of his many scars. It was a quick, gentle thing, but it sent a jolt of warmth through Wade that left him completely speechless.
When you pulled back, Wade was still standing there, frozen in place with a look of complete shock on his face. His usual flood of snarky comments and jokes was nowhere to be found. Instead, his cheeks, as scarred as they were, seemed to flush slightly—something you weren’t sure was even possible.
“W-what… why…?” he finally managed to stutter, his brain struggling to catch up with what had just happened.
You just smiled at him, a soft, sincere smile that made his heart skip a beat. “Because you’re more than just your looks, Wade. You’re funny, you’re brave, and… you’re you. And I like you, just the way you are.”
Wade blinked, his mouth opening and closing as he tried to find the right words. But for once, he couldn’t think of a single joke or quip to throw back at you. He just stood there, feeling more flustered than he ever had in his life.
“You’re… really something, you know that?” Wade finally muttered, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
“So I’ve been told,” you replied with a grin, giving his arm a gentle squeeze before stepping back. “But I mean it, Wade. You’re worth it. Remember that.”
With that, you turned to leave, giving him one last smile over your shoulder before disappearing out the door.
Wade stood there for a long moment, still trying to process what had just happened. He could still feel the warmth of your kiss on his cheek, and for once, the voices in his head were blissfully quiet.
"Well, shit," he muttered to himself, a small, genuine smile tugging at his lips as he touched the spot where you’d kissed him. "Maybe Freddy Avocado’s got a shot after all."
And for the first time in a long while, Wade felt something other than self-loathing when he looked in the mirror. It wasn’t quite love, not yet, but it was something, and that was more than enough for him right now.

Hey💕💕💕
Can I request that instead of Adam being killed by Niffty it was male reader? Like he blocked Adam to not be killed. If you can thank you 💕
Don't worry babes, I've got you! Here, my dear, is reader dying for Adam. Enjoy the pain.
For you I'd bleed myself dry
pairing: Adam x male!reader
warnings: language, major character death
note: not beta read bc fuck you I don't have beta readers
Tumblr media
Angels were being slaughtered by demons, golden blood flooded hell's streets and in the middle of it there was you.
Adam had been beaten by Lucifer, the king of hell and devil himself had broken the first man's nose and was probably also responsible for some serious skull damage. The mask the brunette had been wearing when you had entered hell had been shattered, the only thing left were shards.
Lute was nowhere in sight as Adam crawled out of the crater Lucifer had created when he had slammed Adam onto the ground, his body was shaking and his face was covered in blood and the only clear thought that you were having was ‘Protect him at all cost’.
Adam's voice was furious when he spoke, yet still overly cocky and confident, he was still Adam after all, a few punches from the devil wouldn't change that. However, while he was stating that the demons weren't allowed to end it, that this was his to do and his alone, there was a little demon girl sneaking up behind him. Completely enraged, he didn't notice her, didn't hear her wicked little giggles.
Your body reacted quicker than your brain was able to process things because you were between your boyfriend and that sneaky demon in an instant, shielding your leader and boyfriend with your own body. Blood spilled from the wound as your body collapsed against Adam's, your hands weakly reached for his shoulders in order to keep your body up, but it wasn't working. The demon girl, you weren't completely sure but you thought Charlie had called her Niffty, withdrew the knife as abruptly as she had jabbed it into your chest. Then there was another stab.
Adam was quick to turn around once you had collided against him, he caught you in his arms, too shocked to react properly as little Niffty stood on your back, slamming the knife down a third time. He was frozen with fear, and could only stare as the scene played itself out right in front of him. He wanted to scream, to let go of his boyfriend and pull that bitch off of you. He wanted to grab her by her throat and tear her head off with his pure hands. But all he was physically able to do was to stare.
His golden eyes filled with tears as the way too pretty looking golden blood spilled from your mouth. Your body was weak, it was losing blood way quicker than you had thought. You wanted to reach your hand out for Adam's face to wipe away his tears, to tell him everything will be fine, that you will be fine. But all that your body could manage was a weak yet honest smile.
Niffty jumped off of you and giggled as she happily rushed over to her friends, “Charlie told me to stab, so I stabbed.”
A marrow-shaking scream ripped from Adam's throat, finally, finally he was able to move again. He grabbed a hold of your body firmly, ripped a piece of fabric off his robe to press it onto your wound, desperately trying to stop the bleeding, but to no avail. It was too late, you had already lost too much blood. Nothing he could do would save you. “Fuck,” the first man cried out, he sounded as if he were in pain and emotionally he was.
First Lilith had left him for Lucifer, then Eve had betrayed him and now he had lost you too..
“Don’t fucking die on me, Y/N,” he mumbled as he held your head against his chest, you were able to hear his heartbeat. It was quick and uneven, it made you worry about him. “You can't fucking die on me, you hear me bitch? You can't fucking leave me too,” his voice was filled with desperation and pain and if you're vision wouldn't be fading black, you would try to soothe him. But your body wasn't responding to you in the ways you wanted, in fact it had gone numb a while ago.
Adam's tears fell from his cheeks and fell on your face. You shakily inhaled his scent one last time before your eyes closed, there was no energy left in you to keep them open. “No, fuck no, stay with me,” the brunette slapped your cheek, careful not to hurt any more than you already were. “Don’t fucking leave me, you can't-,” he wasn't able to finish his sentence. Lucifer came up behind him, a firm hand was placed on Adam's shoulder.
“Gather your angels and leave,” the devil ordered, squeezing Adam's shoulder painfully as he dug his claws inside the flesh of the first man. Adam inhaled sharply, yet he didn't pull away either. The pain Lucifer was causing was nothing compared to the pain that ripped his heart apart. He was numb, there was no feeling left inside his limbs when he picked your body up. The leader of the exorcists hated how cold you felt against his skin, how dead you felt. Your halo had been picked up and placed onto your chest, right above the stab wound. The grip Adam had on you would've left bruises if you were still alive. He was afraid you'd disappear, that you would turn to dust before he would reach heaven.
The first man turned to Lucifer, directly facing the blonde king. With red eyes and pain audible in his voice he hissed, “That was one fucking step too far. For this,” he lifted your body slightly, “you’re gonna pay with your life. I will come back, we all will. And we will tear you apart, rip you to shreds. There will be nothing left of you.” And with the threat hanging in the air, he forcefully pushed himself off the ground and flew back in the direction where the portal was located. “Exorcists,” he yelled loud enough for the entire pride circle to hear his voice, “Retreat. We're done here. At least for now.”
-
The brunette was sitting on the highest roof heaven had to offer. Your body had been taken care of, it had been properly buried and he was the one who had made sure all your wishes about your burial had been granted. The only thing left was your halo.
That was also a thing you had requested, for Adam to keep your halo once you died.
So there he was, sitting on the highest roof, the roof where you two had shared your first kiss, as he looked down at your halo. The second you had died it had lost its glow, oh how he missed the glow of your halo. How he missed his boyfriend. It was unfair, Adam didn't understand why God seemed to hate him so much. Everything Adam had ever lost had been taken away from him.
You were everything to him.

attention.
★ – satoru wants your attention ;)
18+, mdni !!
Tumblr media
☆ – this is my first time writing smut, sorry if it's bad :p pluzzz english is not my first language !
– ★ –
you knew you should've known better than to invite your friends to go out with you. not that they were bad or something, much the contrary. it's just that you knew he would come along, he always did. even after you broke up, a few months ago, he'd still make sure to go to every party you've been thinking about going to.
if it was just him being there, it'd be completely alright, you weren't children and could stay at the same room for a few hours without fighting. it would all be perfectly fine if satoru wasn't an attention seeker, doing his best to catch your attention and even ruining your potential dates.
it was always the same: every time a guy would even try to even look at you or try to approach you, he'd just wrap his arm around your waist in a possessive way while staring directly at the guy, or he'd just kiss the first person he saw in front of you, just to see if it'd bother you. it always did, even though you'd rather die than admit it. and, unfortunately for you, tonight was not different.
you were laughing at a joke a guy had just told you, a margarita in one hand while the other one landed on his large arm, a small smirk on your lips as you watched him practically eye fucking you. if you were lucky enough, you'd end up having more fun than planned at the end of the night. but, of course, all your plans were ruined again as soon as the white haired man came in scene.
“princess, you said you'd only get some drinks and come back, why are you taking so long?” his whiny voice echoed in your ears as his face approached your neck, leaving a wet kiss on it while his long arms snaked around your waist, pulling your body closer to his. “oh, and who would that be?”
you gritted your teeth in annoyance at the man behind you, holding the urge to punch him right in face. you could feel the smirk in his voice as he stared at the poor guy, who watched the scene with a confused expression. “oh baby, is this guy bothering you? knew i shouldn't have left you alone, now everyone thinks they could talk to such a pretty thing like ya. now, buddy, will ya excuse us? need to have my girlfriend back.”
“satoru, fuck off. we already broke up months ago, stop acting like we're together.” you protested, trying to leave his embrace but he only tightened it, squeezing your waist.
“umm, sorry, i should leave now.” the guy said sheepishly, his face beet red as he quickly left the two of you alone.
and you just sat there in disbelief, your hand gripping the cup so tightly you thought it might break at any moment. gojo laughed childishly, making your even more angrier as you slapped his arm, rolling your eyes as he whined in your ear, telling you how mean you are.
“satoru, what in the fucking hell is wrong with you?!”
“what? can't i protect what's mine?” he answered simply, leaving a playful bite at your earlobe.
“i'm not yours and you know that damn well. stop acting like an asshole every time we go out!”
“is that so?” he smirked again, letting go of your body just to stand in front of you. his large hand carefully held your chin as it pulled you closer to his face, the delicious mix of his expensive cologne and the smell of the alcohol on his breath invading your nose. “if you hate it so much, why do you keep inviting me, baby? hm? hoping to wake up in my bed again?”
“fuck you, satoru.” you harshly reply, wanting to leave him alone but not being able to move a single muscle, your own body betraying you. your eyes flick to his rosy lips, then back to his blue eyes again. ignoring the way your brain yelled at you to stop, your body moved closer to his, your lips softly brushing against his before closing the gap, a quiet moan leaving both your mouths at the contact.
and that is how you ended up in this situation: your legs thrown over his shoulders as his hips hit the back of your thighs repeatedly, the loud sound of slapping skin echoing through his room. satoru's grip on your plush thighs were almost bruising the skin as his cock bullied the inside of your pussy, his tip kissing all the right spots with every thrust.
“fuck, baby, you're so hot.” he managed to say between his moans “missed– fuck– missed your pretty pussy... always take me so well.”
you moan loudly at his raspy voice, your pussy clenching hard around his dick as your hand sneaked between your legs to rub quick circles on your clit. it's barely been five minutes and you could already feel the knot tightening inside your stomach, your legs shaking lightly. and, of course, satoru noticed, how could he not when it was so hard to move when your pussy was squeezing his dick so much?
“gonna cum, pretty girl?” he smirk, his hand replacing your on your throbbing clit. “just f'me, right? you're all mine. bet that guy wouldn't even be able to satisfy you, you'd probably leave unsatisfied and come back to me, huh.”
“fuck, 'toru, just like that.” your moans are like music to his ears, and he makes sure to get them out of you with every move of his hips. your hands massaged your boobs through the lacy bra, pinching your sensitive nipples as you feel his cock massaging repeatedly your g-spot. your high came shortly after a few strokes of his, your whole body shaking in pleasure.
you whine loudly at the overstimulation, his cock never leaving your sensitive cunt, fucking it mercilessly. satoru groaned in your neck, biting it hard while he came inside you, his thrusts slowing down and becoming sloppier, his sticky cum painting your insides, as he was making a mess because he wouldn't stop even after cumming.
“t-toru, ah... too much, baby” he laughed quietly at your whiny voice, finally stopping the attack on your pussy. he slowly pulled back, his now soft dick leaving your warm cunt as he smiled at the mess he made.
“hmm, would've ruined your date earlier if i knew i could get to fuck you like this.” he joked while teasing your sensitive entrance with his long fingers, watching you shudder. he then kneeled down in front of you, his mouth leaving a wet kiss on your clit. “we're not done yet, pretty, need to make up for the time we lost.”

A/N: Not a request but @makemake22 stumbled across an idea I was already toying around with so kudos to them lol same brain cell moment ig! Plus I mentioned Miremo in this post (and might again) so I figured fuck it why not. So uh...I guess this is a "Law Bends the Rules for You" Part 2
Read Part 1
Law Bends the Rules for You Part 2
Tumblr media
Y/N is definitely a pirate in the making.
When you said "cat," that's what Law was expecting. A cat is something small, mildly irritating at best, sometimes cute, and wouldn't get in the way because it's yours. What he got was not that. What you presented to him was donkey-sized creature resembling a grossly overgrown Maine Coon that could light parts of itself on fire at will.
That's not a cat.
He could plan around a cat.
But you were a package deal. If he wanted one on the crew he'd have to take both. And admittedly, when you said it was the only family you had left he just...he couldn't, okay? Law had excised the hearts of a 100 pirates, removed them from their bodies with cruel precision, but he didn't have the cruelty to separate you from the last piece of home you had.
He would kill or be killed to have one person left from his past.
Plus, you immediately gave him a piece of your mind for trying to leave it behind when you found out the Heart Pirate's own navigator was essentially a polar bear.
He should've known you'd be trouble from that alone. Yelling at him in front of his crew.
Now he was alone with it...her...Miremo. You and the rest of the crew were exploring an island. Even you weren't sure why Miremo stayed behind, but she wasn't interested despite being cooped up on the Polar Tang.
"That's really weird, I hope something didn't make her sick," you had said, pulling at the skin around your fingers until it peeled. A nervous tic Law noticed you had. "Could...could you just keep an eye on her? Please? There's some supplies I really need to get and I'd ask one of the others but..." You trailed off.
Law wanted to say no. He really did. It's not his damn cat, nor is it his family. Sure, if the thing was sick or injured he'd try his best, but he's not a vet. He's a doctor. A surgeon.
Did you think he had all the free time in the world to babysit your animal? He's the captain, he's a doctor. He's got stuff to do. And yet...when you asked, he said yes.
Now here he was, having taken his work to outside to the deck of the Polar Tang to keep an eye on Miremo while she lazed about in the sun. That was a little under an hour ago.
Ridiculous.
Law looked up when he heard the pat of paws slowly approaching him. "Do not light my papers on fire," he said.
Miremo stopped and sat just out of touching distance. True to her word, he guessed(??) the creature didn't light it on fire, but she did swipe her paw against it curiously.
"Y/N-ya uses paper all the time, you know what it is," he said sternly. "Stop touching it." Miremo kept pawing at it until she was able to lift one enough to get her paw under it. "Stop!"
Law snatched the paper and glared at the animal who looked back at him with a neutral expression.
"Room!"
A small blue bubble enveloped them. Miremo stood up immediately, ears flat against her skull and teeth bared. It was hard not to focus the terrifying length of her fangs.
They glared each other down. "Don't make me..." Law warned. Miremo lowered herself as if ready to pounce.
Somewhere in Law's head he could almost hear your voice: Please keep an eye on her. Y/N would kill him...or at least try to. Your punches nor your sniper skills were a joke.
He sighed and let the bubble flicker into nothing. "No more messing with my work, understand?"
How does she manage this thing? Law marveled. Or get anything done for that matter.
Miremo relaxed slowly. She sat and licked her paw before scrubbing her ear and blinking at him curiously. Otherwise, she was still. "Good...kitty?" Law tried the phrase out, he heard you say it to her often. He grimaced, the words feeling strange in his mouth, and went back to work.
He got twenty minutes of peace before Miremo kept closer, slowly. Law looked up to make sure he wasn't about to get eaten or scorched then tried his best to ignore her.
And then a heavy paw knocked his shoulder. He sighed, "what?"
He was surprised to have Miremo nuzzle against his shoulder. Was she purring? "What? What did I do?"
Puzzled, that would be a word to describe Law. Utterly puzzled the the cat rubbed around him and purred. "Okay..." Miremo's fur was soft and warm like Bepo's but much longer. She smelled like embers and the soft scent of you. Law ran his fingers through it and scratched between her ears.
A soft smile spread on his lips, his work somewhat forgotten. How often did he get to pet a fire cat? "Clearly you're not sick or injured."
She purred more in response and settled down next to him. Shortly after she shut her eyes and slept.
LATER
"Captain! You didn't have to sit outside with her!" Your eyes glowed with appreciation. Truly, you would've been happy if he glanced at her a few times while you were gone.
You couldn't believe he'd moved all his stuff outside just to look after Miremo. It made your heart warm and something flutter in your stomach.
He had moved his books and journal back in to his office with your help. You insisted on it, which only made Shachi and Penguin snicker. He was decidedly not going to read into that. His friends are idiots, that's all.
"I did as you asked, don't read into it," Law said. "And don't expect me to keep doing it."
Except this was the third time I've done as you asked, he thought. The idea that he wouldn't be able to stop scared him.
You didn't notice Law's internal battle, just grateful that he had helped you even if it put him in a sour mood. "Well." You reached into your bag. "I figured you hadn't had lunch by now so..."
You placed the wrapped rice ball on his desk. "It's a thank you," you said, trying to convey how sincere you were, "and payment. I really appreciated it, Law, really."
"Sure. You're welcome, Y/N-ya."
With that you left to finish sorting out the items you bought. Miremo followed you out of Law's office looking pleased.

Hi js wanted to share a poem I made today 🫠 pls rate 🥰
Tumblr media
Hmmmmmmmmmm, I’m not the absolute best when it comes to poems so honestly you can ignore my criticism if you want! But as is, I like the poem, it’s really nice, sweet! 8/10!!!
But it feels a bit wordy.. if you were going for that route that’s fine! But I would take out some words to make it punch more.. a few words also make me pause a bit
Like i had to reread it a second for it to flow easily, that was just the second line in the first stanza
The line “ just like my love for you, I must silence the night” I didn’t get it… I kept rereading it but it just didn’t make any sense to me
“would cease to exist” i had to reread a few times because i kept thinking “but how does that work? Sunsets don’t cease to exist, they always come back” maybe that’s just my own brain taking things too literally tho so don’t take it to heart!
Also it doesn’t work with the message of the poem, you’re not forgetting your lover, you end it with “my heart still beats for you” and if the sunset is your love, it never faded
But I also really like how you compare your love to the sunset. It’s not exactly revolutionary but it’s nice. Especially the part about “stirring” the flame.. but I would use a different word to make it have a better punch!
When it comes to poems.. the words you use really matter!!! They can add a whole different meaning to a line so easily.
Imma guess that the love you have with this person isn’t exactly healthy for you. It feels like you, the writer, was the one who ruined the love, so. I feel you could’ve expanded more on that, especially because you are the sunset.
I viewed it as you are the sunset and the lover is the moon.
My favorite part is “crying isn’t enough to embrace you tight once more; but like the tides at the sea, the water will soon leave the shore.” It feels like heartbreak, if that makes sense, it’s practically perfect in my eyes, but I’d probably make it a little shorter.
Now, imma put a little version of your poem down at the bottom, but pls pls don’t take this as me saying my version is better!!! It’s just an idea, you could even ignore it if you want. It’s just to show you an example of what I meant by shortening a few sentences and changing the words to evoke stronger emotions.
The sunset is beautiful, isn’t it?
Sunsets fade, leaving without a goodbye
As the waves kiss the shore, I whisper in your ear
The pain consumes me as the waves swallow your tears
Forgetting you isn’t hard but it aches my soul
The other half of my heart, one you made whole
Crying isn’t enough to embrace you once more
But like the tides at sea, the water will leave shore
My soul yearns for you, yet I drown in the pain
Memories of you strangled in chains
“I still love you,” the sun sets
I could hurt you again, igniting the same flame
The sunset abandons the eternal moon’s somber light
Silence greets you, leaving you alone another night
Yet on the shore, a truth remains clear
My sun sets on your horizon
I hope my rambling made sense. Anyway this was fun—totally pointless cuz I’m pretty sure you weren’t expecting a whole ass essay but I was bored! Anyway I hope this helps you… in anyway possible!
