Welcome to Hyderabadi Ruchulu, where we are excited to share a versatile batter recipe that can be used to make both idli and dosa. Rather than creating two separate batters for each dish, this recipe will save you time and effort by using the same batter for both by making 2 in 1 idli dosa batter. Additionally, this batter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week to prepare delicious meals whenever you desire.
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: Indian
Keyword: South Indian idli and dosa
Servings: 3
Ingredients
1 cup Black Gram
4 cups Idli Rice
1/2 cup Flattened Rice
1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
Instructions
To create this batter, we will be using idli rice, which makes it suitable for a variety of dishes.
Lets see how to make the multipurpose batter
To begin, take a mixing bowl and add one cup of black gram.
Wash it one to two times before adding half a cup of flattened rice and one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds. Soak these ingredients in water for a minimum of four hours.
Next, take four cups of idli rice, wash it two times, and soak it in water for at least four hours. If you are using a mixer instead of a grinder, only use three cups of idli rice.
Grind the soaked black gram first, and once it becomes soft, remove it from the grinder.
Now, remove the black gram batter and add the soaked idli rice
Grind until soft
Mix both the batter with your hands and let it ferment for 8 hours
Seal it in an air-tight container
Let’s see how to make idli batter
Take the required amount of batter
Add some water and salt to it until the required consistency is obtained
Spread some ghee or clarified butter on the idli plates
Pour the batter and close the lid
Steam for about 12 minutes
Let them cook down a little and serve the hot idlis
Let's see how to make dosa batter
Take the required amount of batter
Add some water and salt to it until the required consistency is obtained
Heat the pan and pour the batter on top
Spread with the back of the spoon on a low flame
Add some ghee or oil
Serve hot with your favorite chutney!

The new millet wave: Why more people are talking about the grains now
Long before millet cookies were all the rage and millet pancake mixes lined supermarket shelves, an organic farmer in a village called T Kallupatti near Madurai readied his land for a sturdy crop. This was in 2007, when awareness on millets was limited to roadside kambankoozh (fermented pearl millet porridge.) Pamayan started to cultivate thinai (foxtail millet), saamai (little millet), and…

“Hey Mountain,” Phantom said, appearing at his bedroom door. “You went on that weed run yesterday, right?”
The drummer was lying on his bed, idly scrolling through his phone. He rolled to his side to look at Phantom, nodding his head toward the dresser. “Top drawer. You having a smoke?”
“No, I’m gonna make some brownies,” Phantom grabbed the bag. “I accidentally took the last of Swiss’s edible he got in Amsterdam. Told ‘em I’d go to the dispensary with you... and then forgot... so I'm just gonna make some.”
Mountain chuckled, “Have you ever baked anything in your life?”
“Of course I have.”
Phantom had not. But how hard could it be?
“Okay, well if you want some help, let me know. I'll send you the link to the recipe we usually use.”
“’kay. Thanks Mount,” he said and made his way back to the kitchen.
Phantom had watched Swiss or Mountain make edibles on a few occasions, but he pulled up Mountain's recipe. He quickly realized it was a little more complicated than he thought. There was pre-baking, and making a butter, and making the brownies from scratch? Phantom looked at the box mix he found at the back of the pantry. It would have to do.
Soon, the kitchen was a wreck. Measuring cups and bowls were everywhere as Phantom filled their shared space with aroma of baked cannabis. It brought some of the other ghouls out of their room to investigate his baking endeavor.
“Fucking hell, Phantom, what are you doing in here?” Dew was the first to appear as Phantom took the roasted leaves out of the oven.
“My best,” Phantom wiped away some sweat from his brow, glancing at Dew. “This looks much easier when Swiss does it.”
Dew chuckled, hopping up to sit on the counter and watch.
“That’s because Swiss has seen every episode of Great British Baking Show and thinks that makes him star baker.”
Phantom threw some butter in a saucepan and started to combine the components of the brownie mix.
“I believe it. This shit is harder than I thought.”
Dew chuckled, jumping down from the counter and ruffling Phantom’s hair on his way out the back door. “Just follow the instructions, you’ll be fine.”
Phantom sighed, returning to his project.
Cumulus and Cirrus also came by, taking a few finger fulls of leftover batter after Phantom had his bake in the oven. Mountain came by briefly while he sat in front of the oven watching them rise.
“Looks good, Iron Chef,” he smiled, patting him on the back. “Did you make them with or without walnuts?”
“With.”
“Oh fuck, yeah. Be sure to save me one.”
Phantom smiled, feeling a bit better about his baking skills. When the brownies finally came out, they looked just like the ones the others have made. He cleaned up while they cooled, and delivered a generous piece to Swiss’s room for when he returned. Phantom thought about also enjoying one, but a text from Rain about a quick rehearsal tabled that plan. He cut himself a small sliver just to test out the taste, satisfied with the fudgey texture and gooey taste.
“Something is still missing,” Dew tapped his chin. They had spent the last hour and a half rehearsing some new bits for the rituals and testing out a few riffs. One in particular was giving them some trouble. “Maybe we should get Swiss down here. See if he has an idea or if adding a fourth balances it better.”
Rain put down his bass. “Yeah, I’ll go find him.” He left the practice room and headed toward the living quarters. In the meantime, Dew and Phantom continued to run through the bridge of the song.
Suddenly, rapid, running footsteps echoed up the hall. Both of the ghouls turned to find Rain looking pale and panicked.
“Something's wrong with Swiss,” he said, motioning for them to follow. They put their instruments down and ran to Swiss’s room. Phantom could hear the sound of retching from the hallway, which eerily stopped the moment they got into his room.
They found Swiss slumped beside the toilet, eyes unfocused as he barely registered Rain and Dew dropping to his side.
“Swiss,” Dew cupped his cheeks, trying to get the dazed ghoul to focus on him. “Swiss!” The only sound the ghoul made was some weak whimpering. The most he seemed to move was when he’d start to gag and lurch toward the toilet. Rain sat beside him, rubbing his back and looking at the others with concern.
“What do we do?”
“What is even wrong with him? He's sweating like he's back in the pits, but he doesn't feel feverish,” Dew said, hugging his arms across his body. “Food poisoning?”
“I don’t know, Dew, he’s pretty out of it.”
“Is he on something?”
Rain shrugged, “we just got back right before we started rehearsal. He didn’t have anything when he was with me.”
Suddenly, it dawned on Phantom. He looked back at the place he left Swiss’s brownie.
The plate was empty.
“Shit,” Phantom turned back to the others, suddenly starting to panic. “Shit, I made brownies earlier. Swiss had one.”
Dew’s eyes widened “How big?”
Phantom estimated with his fingers. “Not bigger than what Swiss has given me before.”
“Did he eat more than what you brought him or something?”
Rain stayed with Swiss while Dew and Phantom rushed to the kitchen where Mountain was coincidentally opening the pan of brownies.
“Mountain, wait!” Phantom yelled, startling the drummer into dropping the plastic knife on the ground.
“What?”
“Swiss is sick. Maybe because of the brownies,” Dew explained. Phantom grabbed the pan, sighing in relief to find only the piece he cut for Swiss missing.
“He only had what I gave him.”
“Well what was the dosage?”
“Whatever the instructions said, Dew, I don’t know!”
The room started heating up with Dewdrop as the epicenter. “Phantom, you saw Swiss— this is not the fucking time for I don’t know, I need some fucking number—”
“Guys,” Mountain yelled over them, the bag of weed, that now had a sizable dent in it, in hand. His face was especially serious. “Phantom, where is the extra butter?”
He stared at Mountain blankly. “What do you mean?”
“You followed the recipe I told you? Pre-baked the amount you usually see Swiss and me make, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, then where’s the leftovers? The recipe is for triple the amount of butter you should have used.”
Phantom suddenly felt like he was going to throw up. “I-I didn’t know that.”
“Shit,” Mountain cursed as Rain called down the hall for more help. Mountain went running, leaving Phantom feeling numb and a majorly heated Dew.
“I thought you were following the instructions,” Dew said, his eyes starting to flicker red, like embers in a fire trying to kindle.
“I was, but I was looking at the butter recipe Mountain told me to use and also reading the back of the brownie box and— and, I guess… I guess I got confused,” Phantom ran his fingers through his hair, tugging on the roots. Dew huffed, turning to go back to Swiss’s room. When Phantom started to follow, the fire ghoul whirled around, eyes fully glowing now.
“You’ve done enough, Phantom. We’ll take care of him.”
He left Phantom standing awkwardly in the hallway, his guilt feeling like a tight wire wrapped around his neck. He stood there until his anger kicked in. Phantom marched into the kitchen, grabbing the pan of brownies and slamming them into the trash can with such force the metal pan bent at a ninety degree angle.
He was angry at Dew. At the fucking instructions for being confusing. At Mountain for not telling him when he was leaving for the dispensary. Really, he was just furious at himself. How did he possibly think that much weed was supposed to go into one batch of brownies? What kind of idiot didn’t double check the recipe when making an edible?
Phantom banished himself to his room, throwing around a few things before collapsing on his bed in a fit of guilt-soaked tears.
Rain think he preferred it when Swiss was vomiting.
After the last time he hugged the toilet, just as Phantom and Dew went to check the kitchen, Swiss had a moment of improved coherence.
“Rain,” he mustered, spitting into the toilet. It was a relief just to hear him have some sort of orientation to what was happening around him. That relief was quickly thwarted by what followed, “I don’t… feel… good,” he said, his voice slurring and slowing. Rain had to lunge to catch Swiss’s dead weight as he suddenly collapsed.
“Fuck!” he yelled, pressing two fingers to his neck. Ghoul vessels did have heartbeats— usually slower than humans— but present. Even for a ghoul, though, Swiss’s was faint. “Dew! Phantom! I need you!”
To his surprise, Mountain was the first to arrive at his aid, helping Rain pull Swiss out of the bathroom and into the more spacious bedroom.
“He just passed out,” Rain said, obsessively checking the pulse points in Swiss’s neck and wrist.
“He’s greening out bad,” Mountain sighed, looking up at Rain with dismay. “Phantom fucked up the edible ratio. It won’t kill him, but we need to watch him until he comes down.”
Swiss’s eyes finally fluttered open again. Still unfocused, and even more out of it than before. Dew appeared at the door, chest heaving with anger. Phantom was nowhere to be found. Mountain took one look at Dew and shook his head.
“Out.”
That didn’t help Dew’s fury. “Excuse me?”
“You’re hot right now. You know he gets sensitive to emotions when he’s high, and right now the last thing we need is him panicking when he can barely comprehend why he’s panicking. You can come back when you cool off.”
Dew looked like he wanted to bite off Mountain’s head, but he did back out of the room.
“Mounty,” Swiss muttered, briefly focusing on the earth ghoul’s face. His hand limply waved, and Mountain grabbed it from the air and squeezed.
“Hang in there, bud. You’re gonna be okay.”
Swiss felt like he was dying.
Or locked in some shadow dimension. Either was possible.
Maybe this was the purgatory thing he’s heard so much about. A land between heaven and hell. It would explain why he felt like the world was melting between his fingers while also feeling like he was floating. He was burning hot and doused in sweat, but also wanted nothing more than to be wrapped in blankets.
A lot of contradictions. The only thing Swiss was sure about was that his stomach fucking hurt.
His head was in the toilet again. Throat burning. A hand rubbed his back and he tried to focus on that instead of the sour taste in his mouth.
Then darkness.
Maybe he was dying.
Sometimes he’d hear some voices. Muted, warped voices he could hardly identify.
One came through clearly. Swiss couldn’t quite identify what was being said, but he knew it was Mountain.
Mountain sounded upset. Swiss frowned working hard at trying to focus on the slow moving blobs around him so he could find Mountain.
A warm hand took his.
Fingers tinkered with his hair.
Touched his blazing skin.
He hoped he wasn’t sick.
They would also get sick if that was the case.
“You can sleep, Swiss miss.”
“We’ll keep you safe.”
Swiss didn’t want to sleep. He was exhausted to the point he couldn’t move, but sleeping seemed like something he wasn’t supposed to do. Like he’s fully succumb to the darkness.
Like he’d wake up in the pit.
His throat suddenly felt tight. Fingers tingled. He tried to suck in more air, but his lungs were sluggish. Slow as the rest of him. Swiss fought, feeling his body being turned. Being lifted and then put down again—
“I don’t wanna go!” he tried to scream, but only parts of it made it to his mouth.
Pressure on his cheeks. A hand on his chest. Swiss’s vision dotted for a few moments before realizing Rain was nose-to-nose with him, his ocean blue eyes pleading for something Swiss couldn’t hear over the sound of ringing in his ears. He looked at Rain’s lips come together and split in the shape of the word breathe.
I’m trying, he wanted to say, but he had no breath to do it.
Rain pressed on his chest. Tapped a pattern that Swiss took to mean as cues to breathe in and out. He tried— and struggled— to follow them at first, but soon fell into rhythm. He felt his body start to relax. His fingers regained feeling. Swiss felt the air fully inflate his lungs, hold, and exit with a slow whoosh.
Slowly, he faded into sleep.
Swiss woke up feeling like he had been dropped in boiling water. He was drenched, the feeling of his clothes on his skin making him nauseated all over again. Feeling a little more mobile, Swiss grabbed at his shirt, trying to ease it over his head.
“Woah, woah, woah, what’s wrong?” a voice asked. Dew's voice.
“’m fucking hot,” Swiss said, back, trying and failing to make it over his head. Frustration started making him upset, and he took a break from his shirt and clumsily pulled at the drawstring of his sweatpants instead.
“Okay, let me help you,” Dew whispered, swatting Swiss’s hands away. Swiss stood still as Dew dropped his pants and helped pull his shirt off. The cool air on his burning skin was a relief, but Swiss still didn’t feel comfortable. He grabbed his underwear, but Dew caught his wrist.
“Those too?” he asked hesitantly.
Swiss nodded, trying to jerk out of Dew’s grasp, but being unsuccessful. Dew sighed and released him, and Swiss finally felt at ease.
He stood there until his body temperature felt normal again.
Then he realized he was fucking freezing. He slumped back on the bed, grabbing as many blankets at possible while Dew watched him, dumbfounded.
“Cold now, Swissy?”
“Freezing. Cuddle me, Dew?”
The fire ghoul groaned, and something landed on Swiss’s face.
“Okay, but you have to put your drawers back on.”
That seemed like a fair exchange. Swiss slipped on his underwear and opened his arms for Dew to come warm him up. The fire ghoul dropped into Swiss’s arms, muttering something about how he “better not puke on him”.
Swiss’s throat was dry when he woke up again. HIs room was dim. Less chaotic than before. Swiss tried to roll to his back, but found something blocking him.
Or someone.
“Swiss?” a soft voice asked, moving so he could plop onto his back. It was Mountain staring down at him with concerned hazel eyes.
“I’m falling off the bed,” Swiss muttered, weakly trying to shove at the massive drummer. Mountain’s concern shifted to mild amusement, and he gave Swiss some more space.
“Just making sure you don’t aspirate, Swissy.”
Satanas, his head was pounding. Swiss flopped down on Mountain’s chest, finding some comfort in the feeling of his heartbeat under his cheek.
“Is he awake?” Rain asked, walking in with Dew in tow.
“He is,” Swiss answered. “He is also so fucking thirsty.”
“Good,” Rain handed him some brightly colored drink. Swiss stared at is suspiciously until he explained. “Electrolytes.”
“Oh. Thought you were trying to poison me,” Swiss muttered, and slowly sipped at the cool beverage.
“That would be Phantom,” Dew muttered, quickly getting an elbow to the ribs from Rain. Swiss looked at them, confused.
“What about Phantom?” His bandmates looked at him and then one another. Swiss couldn’t tell if it was guilt or pity, but he didn’t like it either way. “Whatever it is, fucking tell me.”
“He’s usually pissy when he’s almost down,” Mountain said as though Swiss wasn’t sitting right fucking there.
“Think he’s good enough to tell him?” Rain asked.
“For fuck’s sake,” Swiss pinched the bridge of his nose. Rain placed a hand on his knee.
“Did you eat the brownie Phantom baked for you?”
Swiss slowly dropped his hand, the realization of his pre-nap snack hitting him the moment Rain said it.
“Yeah… it was good, but I’m guessing maybe a little too much?”
Dew scoffed. “At least triple the dose you usually do.”
That certainly explained why he felt like he was on a different plane of existence earlier.
“Damn. Uh, how bad was I?” They looked at each other again. That, and the fact they looked exhausted pretty much answered his question. He also realized Phantom wasn’t among them. “And where’s Phantom?”
Dew pressed his lips together. “I, uh, told him to stay out of the way.”
From the way Mountain and Rain exchanged a glance, Swiss had a feeling it was a little more than that. He sighed, pushing himself up to try and stand, but a rush to his head made him topple right back down.
“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” Dew asked.
“To see Phantom. Make sure he’s not beating himself up over this.”
“You can barely stand still!”
Swiss looked at Dew. “Then go get him!”
Dew looked at Rain, who shook his head. The usually calm water ghoul looked at Dew sternly. “I’m not the one who yelled at him. Go fix it.”
With a groan, Dew departed. Swiss laid back in his bed, focusing on a singular point on the ceiling until the spinning stopped.
“Hey Rain?” he asked after awhile.
“Yeah?”
Swiss ran his hand over his bare chest and thighs. “When did I strip?”
He chuckled. “A few hours ago.”
“Why?”
“Dew said you wanted cuddles.”
Swiss sat with that for a moment before shrugging. “Yeah... that checks out. Can you grab me some clothes, please?”
Phantom wasn’t sure what to do. He snuck down near Swiss’s room a few times to try and gauge what was going on, but couldn’t quite get a complete read. Things seemed to calm down at least. Less sounds of vomiting. Rain, Mountain, and Dew had begun to take shifts of just one or two of them staying with Swiss at a time. Phantom wanted to assume the best, but he still felt his worst.
So he shut himself in his room. Lights off, so his main source of light was the glow of iridescent constellations on his ceiling.
Swiss had helped him put those up. And Phantom had basically poisoned him. What a good packmate he was.
Because he wanted to torture himself, Phantom looked back at the recipe for the butter. Sure enough, it clearly called for almost four times the amount of butter he used— if he had just fucking read it correctly, Swiss wouldn’t be spending the night worrying about choking on his own vomit.
Hot tears ran down Phantom’s face. Though he had formed some great connections with the others, he was still so new. Would they send him away after this? Would any of them trust him again? He ruminated on these increasingly destructive thoughts until there was a soft knock at his door.
“Phantom?” Dew said through the door. “You in there?”
“Yeah,” called, his voice raspy from crying. The door opened slowly, and in came Dew. He was much less angry than usual, but still seemed a little peeved. After taking in the dark room and Phantom curled up on his bed, his face softened.
“Hey…” Dew said, sitting on the edge of Phantom’s bed. To his surprise, the fire ghoul reached out and put a warm hand on Phantom’s calf. “Swiss is okay.”
“He is?”
“A little loopy still and post-high cranky, but yeah. He’s asking for you.”
Phantom bit his lip, curling more into himself. “He’s pissed, isn’t he?”
Dew’s eyebrows furrowed together. “Swiss? At you? Not at all.”
“You are.”
Dew sighed, pressing his fingers together in his lap. “I was. But, I shouldn’t have yelled at you like that. I was mad and… and scared. Really scared.” Dew looked at him with with this sad expression. “Sorry for taking it out on you.”
Phantom finally sat up, pulling Dew into a hug before he could protest. The lead guitarist hugged him back, pinching his cheek as they pulled apart. “I hope you know you’re banned from baking, though.”
“Fair enough,” Phantom said, smiling for the first time in hours.
They went to Swiss’s room where Rain and Mountain were perched on his bed with them. When Phantom entered, they grew quiet, and started to move out of the way. Swiss opened up his arms.
“C’mere Phantom,” he said with a grin.
All the stress of the last several hours of soaking in self-doubt and guilt came tumbling down at once. Phantom practically tackled Swiss as he dove into his arms, reveling in the joyful laugh the multi-ghoul let out as he squeezed Phantom tightly.
“I’m so fucking sorry,” Phantom said into Swiss’s shirt.
“Don’t be, Twinkle Toes, that brownie was fucking fire. Perfect ratio of gooey, but not underbaked. And truly flattered you thought I could handle that much THC.”
“It did seem like a lot…”
“I fuckin’ bet,” Swiss chuckled. “It’s okay, though. I’m good. Sometimes I need a green out every so often. Keeps me humble.”
“Also freaks us the hell out,” Rain said. Swiss pressed his lips together, almost like he felt guilty about being basically incapacitated. He reached out toward the others, and Phantom felt the bed dipped as Rain joined the huddle. Mountain and Dew soon followed, encapsulating the two of them in their body heat and weight.
“Thanks for taking care of me, you guys.”

A Pinch Of Love - A Gilbert/Silvio/Reader fanfic
Rating: Mature/Explicit (minors dni)
Words: 1089
Tags: Modern au, cooking together, cum tasting/drinking, cum cookies, spit tasting references, references to blowjobs, biting, cooking with cum, poly relationship
This is for @xxsycamore's Sweet and Spicy Wintertime prompt list! I am late as usual when I try to join a prompt thing, but I still had fun! As soon as she dropped this I knew I had to write gilbert being a fuckin weirdo (affectionate). Thank you, Mo, for making this event!!
It wasn't unusual for Gilbert to keep you company in the kitchen, idly sitting at the nearby table while you switched between reading recipes to mixing in ingredients. What was, however, was Silvio joining the two of you.
While you busied yourself with the batter, they sat at the table clad in their pajamas- a requirement that you insisted on for today's festivities. Because for the first time, all three of you could be together for Christmas.
Not a baker himself, Silvio sat by Gilbert and offered his help in other ways: such as smacking Gilbert's hand away from the shakers of sprinkles and icing that littered the table.
“Will ya stop that?”
Gilbert ignored him, successfully swiping a shaker with snowflakes and pearl sprinkles inside, popping the lid open. As he poured some onto his palm for easier eating, Silvio rolled his eyes.
“If ya eat everything before we can even decorate, what's the damn point in us takin’ the day off fer this?”
For the sake of your sanity, you ignored how Gilbert prodded and teased Silvio back, focusing on the next step in your process.
“Gil? Can you tell me what else comes after the spices?”
He lazily swiped on your phone, reading out the next set of directions for you, “the recipe says to add a ‘pinch of love’.”
You muttered a hum, amused with the cutesy addition, but in the background you heard Silvio click his tongue. A warning sound towards his growing annoyance. Peeking at them, you saw Gilbert's lips quirk into his telltale smile. His eyes flicked between giving your mouth, and Silvio's, a slow once over, and you knew what he was going to suggest. An implemented habit that he had been trying to instill in the both of you: spitting.
Silvio stared. Unblinking, slowly furrowing his brows as Gilbert's smile widened.
“The damned coffee wasn't enough fer ya?”
“Hehe, and what if it wasn't? What if I'd like you both to-”
“Don't drag ‘er into this!”
“If you'd rather, we can try a different ingredient.”
Silvio went to speak, but instead caught how Gilbert's eyes trailed down his torso, settling between his legs for a moment before flicking back towards Silvio's gaze.
“Ain't no fuckin’ way, these cookies are fer all of us.”
“Hmm? I've never complained about how either of you tasted before. Surely-”
“No. I ain't doin’ that.”
The chair was pushed back as Silvio stood up, gaining distance between him and Gilbert by leaning against the fridge instead. Still keeping his promise by spending time with the two of you, but avoiding further teasing.
In theory.
Because when you laughed and shook your head, intending to turn back to focus on mixing, you heard the shuffling of chairs. Light steps, a few curses slipped under a sigh. All enough to stop you once more, peeking over your shoulder to see Gilbert facing Silvio. He stared Silvio down with a smile, moving his cold hands to Silvio's hips.
Watching how Silvio slowly relented to Gilbert made you awestruck, in ways. Both men were stubborn in what they wanted, yet out of the three of you, Silvio hardly confessed to his wants unless he felt in control of them.
Which led him to being pressed up against the fridge, turning his head away from the both of you, cheeks flushed as Gilbert teased his fingers along the waistband of Silvio's gray pajama bottoms. Unable to admit to his more ‘odd’ desires once again.
Gilbert gave no slack, like you did. Instead he doubled down on his teasing, always itching to have Silvio speak out on the pleasures he sought.
“I thought you liked to watch?” He teased, but when Silvio made no further movement, he just simply shrugged.
Slowly, Gilbert hooked two fingers on his waistband, easily pulling it down just enough for Silvio's hardened cock to slip free, eliciting a shuddering sigh from both of them.
“Hehe, you always fuss about how gross I am, but look at how hard you are.”
“That's just-ngh…”
At his cock finally being touched by Gilbert ghosting his fingers along the length, Silvio finally looked over at Gilbert- only to have his cheek pressed back against the fridge.
“Who said you could look after lying like that?” The words were a playful chide, but Gilbert still kept Silvio's head in place as he murmured in his ear, “it's only good boys who get to watch.”
His body tensed as Gilbert flattened his tongue against his neck, licking a wet stripe along the length, ending with a bite between his shoulder and neck. Hard enough to mark, to bruise, but not draw blood.
There were complaints on the tip of Silvio's tongue, ready to fly out, but you didn't miss the way his cock twitched, especially as Gilbert trailed his fingers along the underside.
“Hey,” Gilbert called to you, voice no longer holding the warning edge it had for Silvio, “make sure he behaves?”
There was no need for clarification, not when Gilbert finally let go of Silvio's chin to ease onto his knees, taking time to mouth kisses down Silvio's abdomen to rile him up further.
So you set your mixing spoon aside, moving to face Silvio, to hold him in place with kisses and bites, your hand snaked under his shirt to tease his chest. Despite how many times the three of you had been intimate, his ears still blazed bright, trying to hold back his moans when Gilbert's lips reached the base of his cock.
.
Soft crackling emitted from the fireplace as the three of you sat together on the couch, watching the first of many holiday movies for the day. Blankets were haphazardly shared between you, with Gilbert claiming more even when his spot was closest to the fire. Through the layers, Silvio's hand sought yours, fingers twining together.
On the coffee table lay the cookies you all had a hand in making today, decorated clumsily with icing. Some of the shaped cookies were clad in eyepatches, others with jewelry or coin, while others had rabbit ears and hearts for decorations.
Gilbert, eyes still on the television, reached for another. He acted oblivious towards Silvio's staring, turning towards the man and offering a cookie.
“Want one?”
“Those are all yours.”
“Technically, they all have a piece of us in them, so-”
“No.”
And once more, the bickering began anew. Yet through all of Silvio's sighs, he still had an arm snaked around Gilbert's shoulders, sharing what warmth he had.

Cheek on the palm of his hand, Skylar stared idly at the clock on the wall as countless seconds passed by the hour. He was at Aiden’s beck and call whenever the baker needed a taster for new pastries. The dragonborn had a way of catering to Skylar’s sweet tooth with every sugary delicacy he concocts. However, Aiden has been trying to perfect a brownie recipe for far too long now and his witch companion was growing impatient. “I have some eye of newt and toad skins if you want to add those in your batter,” he mused, unable to suppress a snicker from leaving his lips. Despite having a knack for potion making, Skylar was no pastry chef. His suggestions for using magical ingredients served more comedic purposes than actual culinary advice.
The smaller blond fiddled with a peculiar gold coin in between his fingers, realizing not even angels would cure him of boredom. “Maybe you should take a break, love,” he spoke, expressing mild concern as a fourth bag of flour was discarded onto an already large pile of empty sacks on the counter. “I’m sure you’ll have your break through in the morning,” Skylar assured him and rose up from his seat. He proceeded to give the dragonborn a loving embrace from behind. “You’re the best damn baker this town has ever known. You don’t need to try so hard.” If nothing, Skylar wanted to be a supportive friend. He needed to make sure Aiden wasn’t stressed out in his attempts at achieving perfection.

Make a Wish
@reddrakebird : (past thread for Tim's birthday! 💕) ------------
Kon had let Tim get up and ready for classes, pretending to be asleep even as he felt his boyfriend stir in his arms. Letting him slide out from under them, holding his breath steady and holding back both grin and giggle as he felt the brush of warm lips kiss his cheek, whilst a pair of fingers brushed the hair back from his face. The temptation to pull him back into bed for some morning intimacy was resisted, with Conner needing the whole day to prepare for the evening ahead. A tight breath was released as he was tucked in and Tim vacated the vicinity, to start getting ready for his day.
The moment Kon heard the click of the front door shut in their apartment, he bolted upright and floated out of the bedroom towards the kitchenette, already searching for the supplies with which to make a cake. Upon finding the cupboards distinctly lacking, Kon floated back to their nightstand and picked up his phone to make a quick grocery order with doordash. As he waited for the delivery, he stepped into the bathroom and took a quick shower, washing off the grime from the day before.
Hearing the light knock resonate throughout the air with his super-hearing, Kon wrapped a towel around his middle (out of respect for Tim, rather than any concern for his actual modesty) and headed dripping wet to answer it. Thanking the delivery girl, and tipping her from the jar of loose cash that they kept by the front door for such an occasion, Kon simply smiled, bid her goodbye and ignored the blush that had accompanied her elevated heartbeat. There had once been a time he might have invited her in, had he been back in his own apartment but now Kon's fingers idly stroked the titanium band that sat around his neck. What would have once felt triggering, now felt strangely liberating; a reminder that he was wanted. A reminder that he was loved. Today he hoped to do the same for Tim.
The rest of the afternoon was spent researching recipes on his phone, attempting to make cake batter (crushing eggs instead of cracking them turned out to be bitterly frustrating, until Kon realised he could crack the shell more delicately with his TK). He'd placed the batter into a cake pan and set the oven with a timer, as he began to prepare the starter. Mixing the ingredients he had bought, Kon began to prepare a smoothly blended tomato soup, and opened a couple of cans of alphabet spaghetti with relative ease, picking out the necessary letters for later. Placing them on a plate, with the soup in a container in the fridge, Kon quickly moved onto making the main course; Chicken Alfredo. As the raw chicken sizzled in the pan, Kon decided to head to the balcony to have a quick cigarette. Only to realise to his horror, at the smell of genuine smoke that he should probably not have left it unattended. Putting out the cigarette on the nearby ashtray and bolting back into the kitchen, Kon quickly breathed in and than out in an icy haze to put the growing flames that flickered onto the nearby cupboards out. Thankfully it was enough to stop the fire instantly; but the wooden surface cracked from the sudden change of temperature. Yeah... Tim was definitely going to notice those.
Sweating, as he looked at the clock, Kon got out the cake and wondered just how brown a chocolate cake should look. Maybe it was all the cocoa powder he'd put in? Yeah, that was probably it. Placing it in the freezer to cool down - he wasn't about to breathe all over it, gross! - Kon returned to the challenge of the main meal. Not prepared to let chicken best him, Kon grabbed a new pan and tried once more, this time not taking his eyes off it. Once it was cooked, the sauce added and the pasta boiled, Kon drained the linguine and sorted both into two more containers so that they could be easily reheated and placed them into the fridge.
Now to decorate the cake. Whilst chocolate melted in the microwave, Kon got out the lump-sided cake, and cut up twenty-four strawberries into the shapes of hearts. Then he took the melted chocolate and painted it onto the top and sides. The strawberries were then placed upright in a circular motion, leaving enough room for a candle. Placing it carefully in the fridge, Kon looked again at the clock. 4.30pm. Just enough time to clean the mess up and get himself groomed for the occasion. Once the kitchen had been cleaned and the washing up put away, Kon wandered through to the bedroom and their walk-in wardrobe.
He carefully put on a pair of black slacks, and a velvet-mesh-embroided shirt which whilst formal, still showed off his almond-hued skin. He then grabbed a comb and tended to his hair in the mirror, ruffing up the curls so that they fell just above his forehead. He left his shades off, knowing Tim preferred to see his eyes without them.
As he glanced at the various missed Tim's texts on his phone, Kon grinned. He was on his way home now. Hopefully, his silence hadn't upset his lover. Kon hadn't ignored him purposefully - he'd just had a long list of things to do. And he wasn't finished yet. Walking back into the apartment, he closed the curtains and switched off the light. As he stepped into the balcony to remove the ashtray and place a vase with a single red rose on the table, he noticed the sun was just setting on the horizon. Perfect timing. He carefully placed tealight candles all along the balcony's frame, carefully lighting them with his lighter. That was tucked into his pocket as he quickly set the table, his ears already recognising the sound of Tim's heartbeat within the building.
As his boyfriend opened the door, Kon flew faster than a bullet to greet him, pressing their lips together as soon as the door was widened. His fingers grasped around Tim's tie, pulling him closer and inside the apartment. The kiss had been intended to be gentle and chaste, but soon emotion took over, as Kon deepened it; re-introducing their tongues to each other and savouring the taste of his boyfriend's saliva in his mouth.
Finally he pulled back with a small moan just as the temptation for either to grow overly handsy rose to the surface. "Welcome home, sunshine." He smiled. "I missed you." Kon confessed before continuing to lead him with the tie towards the balcony, where the table sat waiting with a bottle of red wine with two glasses. He let go of the tie, to pull out a seat for Tim, gesturing for him to take it.

Explore The Best Breakfast Choices For Weight Loss
The first meal of the day is breakfast. Breakfast is good for your mental and physical well-being. Healthy food gives the body what it needs to start the day by replenishing blood sugar or glucose.
Breakfast is crucial for individuals of all ages, particularly kids and teenagers. Breakfast eaters are more likely to be more focused, capable of solving problems, and have better hand-eye coordination.
They might also be more creative and aware. A hearty and nutritious breakfast generally helps prevent many lifestyle disorders, including diabetes, PCOD, and hypertension.
In English, "breakfast" means ending the fast from the previous night. There are a variety of "typical" or "traditional" breakfast alternatives, with cuisine selections varying globally based on geography and custom.
5 Simple Vegan Breakfast Ideas
There are plenty of vegan breakfast options available. Your morning meal with a delicious vegan spread gives your body the nutrition it needs. Nonetheless, milk, bread and butter, an omelette, and scrambled eggs make up the majority of Indians' breakfasts. Here are some vegan options for Indian breakfast that you can try from ToneOp:
1. Roti/Paratha With Vegan Curd Or Sabzi
A great and easy vegan breakfast option is paratha/roti with sabzi, a North Indian breakfast classic. To make a complete meal, add some vegan curd to the mixture. Steer clear of butter and ghee when cooking. To make your paratha even more delicious and nutrient-dense, stuff it with veggies like potatoes, cauliflower, radish, and coriander.
2. Dosa/Idli With Chutney And Sambar
Sambar and idli/dosa make a pretty simple breakfast. Sambar is a hot curry with vegetables, including onion, carrots, and tomatoes. Since split black gram and rice are used to make idli/dosa, they are high in fibre. Together, they make a delicious vegan breakfast.
3. Upma
Upma, also known as rava upma, is a traditional breakfast dish that is a savoury porridge prepared with a mixture of vegetables and semolina. This makes a tasty and nutritious dinner, especially with filter coffee or vegan chai.
4. Besan Chilla
In North India, besan chillas are a well-known dish that is both vegan and gluten-free. They are made by creating crepes using a spicy chickpea flour batter, which is easy to prepare.
5. Dalia
Dalia, also called broken wheat porridge, is a well-liked and nourishing vegan breakfast option. It is tasty and an excellent source of fibre, protein, and essential nutrients such as iron and magnesium.
7 Recipes For Egg Breakfasts
Here are a few recipes for egg breakfasts:
1. Mughlai Paratha
The quintessential Indian staple, parthas go well with almost anything. One such variation with a sizable fan base is Mughlai Paratha. From West Bengal, India, to Bangladesh, people love the traditional Bengali street food known as mughlai paratha, fried to perfection and loaded with eggs.
2. Baked Eggs
Onions, cherry tomatoes, and other seasonings are added to whisked eggs before they are cooked to perfection. It produces one of the greatest breakfasts, full of protein.
3. Parsi Eggs
Scrambled eggs with subtle spices, a traditional Parsi dish, are eaten with bread, buns, or pav.
4. Indian Style Omelet
Stir-fried spicy eggs with tomatoes, onions, and fragrant spices. A quick, easy, and savoury typical Indian morning food is the masala omelette. It's a fantastic high-protein breakfast option from India.
5. Bhurji Egg
Nothing matches a spicy, delicious egg bhurji paired with parathas for a hearty breakfast. All vegetarians love this scrambled egg recipe since it is so easy and quick to make.
6. Cheese And Egg Wrap
The most portable and all-inclusive source of nutrients is an egg. Protein, vitamins, and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, iron, and lecithin are all included. While there are many methods to cook eggs, the three most common ones in this recipe for breakfast are scrambled, poached, and boiled.
7. Sandwich Egg With Mayo
The mayo sandwich is a quick, simple, and distinctive recipe. Its origins are in British cooking.
7 Breakfast Choices For Professionals In The Workforce
Replace the standard breakfast menu with these delicious and nourishing alternatives:
1. Vegetable and cottage cheese sandwich
2. Substituted Chicken
3. Chaat Fruit
4. Fresh Fruit and Oatmeal
5. The Sandwich Tiranga
5. Poha
7. Sprout Cutlets with Moong
The Advantages Of Eating Breakfast
Individuals who consume a nutritious breakfast are more likely to experience the following advantages:
Increases your level of focus and productivity all day long. This may be the result of glucose, the brain's main energy supply, being restored.
Eating breakfast can help people lose weight by lowering their appetite later in the day, which helps them avoid junk food at later meals.
People who eat breakfast tend to be more energetic and exercise more than many people who skip breakfast. It keeps them in shape and busy.
Research indicates that people who eat a nutritious breakfast consume less cholesterol than those who don't.
The Final Say
Having a nutritious breakfast is essential for individuals of all ages since it enhances focus, productivity, and energy levels. It also helps prevent lifestyle disorders such as diabetes, PCOD, and hypertension. There are numerous vegan and egg-based breakfast options that are both delicious and nutritious. Furthermore, substituting unhealthy breakfast choices with wholesome alternatives can provide nourishment and aid in weight loss

Uttapam recipe:-
Idli batter: I used leftover idli batter, but you can also use dosa batter. Alternatively, you may buy a store-bought jar of idli dosa batter.
vegetable: I used onion, bell pepper, and carrots as vegetables. You may also include beets, cabbage, maize, spinach, drumstick leaves, and other vegetables.
Green chili: It gives a hint of heat, but it's optional for youngsters who don't want to bite into chillies.
Idli podi: This is sprinkled on top of the fried uttapam. It is entirely optional.

Sunny's cookies
('cos it was fun to think about. Last one.)
Freija felt wonky and out of place, making cookies. She normally didn't cook, let alone bake, but these were simple recipes, and also Eva was paying Bright Dust for them, and also also, Freija liked doing it, awkward or not. They'd even decorated the kitchen with little streamers with dangling drop-shaped lights on blue ribbons to help with the mood.
Sunny helped by reading recipes and by nudging ingredients around, and she playfully scolded when Freija was eating too much of the batter, and despite not being able to eat them, she was deeply interested in the results when Freija pulled them from the oven, practically flying in there to take a better look.
"Can I. I don't know, put you in the oven so you can watch them bake in real time?" Freija offered. "Would you like to fashion a way to eat them? Can you analyze it and imagine what it would taste like if you had a tongue? I guess?"
Sunny turned to face her guardian, all movements reduced to the lights coming off her shell. "I think it would be safe for me but not my shell, to be baked? And I'd rather not find out," Sunny giggled. "But do you really think there's a way I could eat one?"
Ah ha. Sunny had her tells, no matter how thick Freija was. "I can give you one of each and we can let you do whatever you want to experiment, there's a lot to cookies that isn't the taste. Like the baking, and the texture, and the icing we were doing on the shortbreads."
"That was fun," agreed Sunny, circling as Freija loaded a tray with one of each recipe and carried them to the work table.
The Awoken Titan in her boxers, tank top, and Thomas's black lab apron, leaned over the table they normally cleaned guns on, and presented her ghost with the 'gifts' and brandished a bread knife. "If you can't do it, I can, just ask and I'll try not to do that thing where I give you the funny look."
Sunny spiralled up and back down in an excited loop. "Thank you!" she squeaked. "Thank you! Can you cut all of them in half, please?"
"Tall or wide?" Freija asked, indicating with the knife. "Or do you want me to split them?"
"Oh, go tall," Sunny hummed, and she watched Freija clumsily cut the cookies in half, crushing parts in the process. Freija was never good with her hands, but Sunny didn't chide, even when she nearly crushed the butter cookie trying to hold it still.
"Can you cut one of the halves in half, too? Wide?" Sunny requested as she nudged them around on the tray. The ghost used her petal flaps as fingers to roll crumbs around, scanning idly with mechanical chirps.
Freija enjoyed watching her ghost roll the pieces over with her petals, study the crumbling and icing, then disintegrate the quarter. She took her time with each one and Freija sat back to watch, pleased that something so simple made her so happy.
The first quartered cookie was a Donut Hole, and Sunny wasted no time descending upon it.
Eventually, Sunny finished her examinations and she looked back up to Freija, probably only just remembering she was there. "This next part might be complicated."
"We'll see what I can do," Freija promised.
"Split the half, first," she requested.
Again, Sunny dove in for investigation, but this time she watched Freija work, almost getting poked with the knife once before she stopped getting too close.
Some hardly survived the dissection, apparently wanting to be crushed more than cut, but the biggest surviving pieces were successfully split.
Sunny made a thorough examination of the confections, circling to get the best angles. Some, especially with pronounced layers, she requested more cutting, singling out things like the inside of the motes and the powdered sugar on the bright dusted balls to 'taste' and before it was done there was an obvious and thorough examination on the table. The remaining quarters waited on the tray, which had been put aside in favor of a wax sheet to hold the increasingly small pieces spreading out, until finally, Sunny had broken down every color icing on the forest cake, she returned her attention to the remaining pieces.
She fell uncharacteristically still. "What's the hesitation?" Freija asked curiously. "You stopped bobbing."
"This is kind of embarrassing, but I want to actually touch it," Sunny admitted, circling the tray curiously. "The consistency and texture seem to be a definitive difference in the cookies, and while I can certainly examine the causes and see the effects, there's really only one way to accurately detect tactile sensation."
Freija didn't laugh. She honestly wanted to see it, she hoped it was half as cute as she already found all this. "Alright." She bit her lips and looked down at the ghost, who gazed back. "How'd you wanna do that? Shell? Actual little metal drone bit?"
Sunny hesitated again and looked from the cookie to Freija. "What do you think?"
"I think the shell will be a bitch to clean," Freija replied, striding off to fetch a bowl of water and a couple wash cloths and bottle brush. "Can you transmat out from under cookie? Leave it floating while you disappear?"
Sunny giggled, as they'd had the discussion before. Of course not.
Freija watched her stretch her shell out until the pieces fell and the little metal drone floated in front of her.
"Did you want to cover it or anything, or are you just gonna. I am doing my best to keep my tone civil, but I'm not civil, help me out," she finally sighed with a laugh. "Do you wanna raw dog the cookie?"
Sunny burst out laughing and nudged Freija's hand as she circled the cookie quarter again and turned it to one side. "If our entire career wasn't war, the vulgarity might have been excessive." But she wasn't looking at Freija anymore, and had redirected to the wedge of donut hole.
Freija leaned over to hold the confection in place with two fingers. "Go ahead, swim in it for all I care. Texture's texture."
Sunny turned sideways and nudged herself over, pressing into the airy bread and wiggling a little, struggling and failing to break the surface.
Sunny flew up a couple inches, then a couple more. Freija turned it so the broadest side faced her, and the ghost hurled herself into the airy bread, burrowing into it forcefully, squishing pieces into the tray.
She took her time, apparently making the most of the chance and enjoying herself, twisting in and making sure to single out crumbs to crush under the different divots.
After several minutes, the little drone lifted her blue eye to the redhead standing over her.
Freija held up the scrub brush and presented the cloth on one hand. Sunny shot into her palm and the center of the cloth, and she kept pushing, as if trying to shove the guardian's hand. It took Freija a moment to recognize the 'hug' and another to figure out how to "return" it by holding position.
"Thank you!" Sunny finally cried, letting up the pressure and resting in Freija's gentle grasp. "Happy Dawning!"
It was funny that an unshelled ghost could still "smile". Freija enjoyed the lighted expression in the eye as she helped scrub the little flakes of glaze off. "Happy Dawning, Sunny. I'm glad we could get you some cookies."
(I came back through to stop head hopping)
(and again to cut it)
(and third for light edits that were actually just me trying to correct an egregious grammatical error and getting carried away.)
