No for real!!!!! The way some leftists on the site are trying to downplay the threat that is a 2nd trump presidency to just “well what’s he going to do? Probably just tweet or something he isnt going be that bad. Yeah the single issue thing drives me crazy. Aside from the fact that Trump is worse on that issue too (and the "how can it get worse??" people are so unserious, literally just look at what Trump says lol), okay fine there are no good options on that issue, that's terrible, we have to look for other avenues to address it besides American elections, what about all the other issues? The issues we can directly affect with American elections? Lots of those are life or death too.

Cowboy Carter Review

sorry if i write a lot. i like to yap lol

Ameriican Requiem- i'm a huge sucker for a sitar so i was gripped in from the beginning. i grew up on country music (mainly 90s/early 2000s) and so when she showed up at the CMAs and performed with the chicks it was a childhood dream. but as a person who liked country music around the time 9/11 happened, it's only become even more racist since. the way they treated her that night even though she was one of, if not THE, best performer of the night was so upsetting to watch. even as the best artist on the planet, at the top of her game, she's always going to work a million times harder than any of her peers. i'm so proud of her being able to make a song like to this to put her thoughts out on the whole night that night.

Blackbiird- obviously everyone has heard this song before. i was unaware of the actual backstory to the song since i don't follow the beatles too much (i like george harrison but that's about it lol). i was not aware that the song the song was written for black women during the civil rights movement. i assumed the song was mainly written by john lennon who to my knowledge was kind of a grifter when it came to his activism. having this song come right after ameriican requiem is so poetic.

16 Carriages- shockingly i was able to avoid hearing this song in full until tonight. i tend to only do one single per release and so texas hold em was the one. this song is so heartbreaking because i think about all the kids in the entertainment industry who can probably relate to this song all too well

Protector- these songs she makes for her kids... i'm gonna need her to stop. not because they're bad but i straight up can't listen to blue and probably this song because i want a mom like this 😭

My Rose- i hate that this is an interlude. it's so beautiful and not to be dramatic should've been 10 hours long

Smoke Hour • Willie Nelson- idk what to say about this one lol

Texas Hold 'Em- i love this song. the only problem i have with it is it sounds too clean. like the production sounds too clean. maybe it sounds better on the radio where the quality is lower than streaming but its definitely a song that needs to be played not so isolated.

Bodyguard- there's something in this song. she channeled carole king for this on or something. it's so good instantly a top 20 if not top 10 song of hers through her whole discography.

Dolly P- once again idk what to say about this one its too short to say anything

Jolene- i mean i think the same way about her version as i do about dolly's version. why are we getting mad at these women when we should be getting mad at the men?? take away that beyonce is beyonce for a second. if she was a normal lady and this girl was unaware her man was taken, isn't that more on him than anyone? he's letting it happen.

Daughter- her voice in this song is insanity. the control she has is unmatched truly.

Spaghettii- the beat omgggg. i know this would hit so hard in a mashup with "my house" i'm obsessed.

Alliigator Tears- just from hearing snippets of the country music that's on the radio nowadays, i think this might be one of the few songs from this album that they will eat up. i'm not saying that as a diss at all. i love this song alot especially after a second listen.

Smoke Hour II- i guess i can add on here a random tid bit. i made a country playlist in preperation for the album to come out. i made it on valentine's day. tell me why i named it KNTRY. i didn't even know the "radio station" she has on the album was called that lol.

Just for Fun- i don't listen to lana del rey anymore. i had a small time during last year where i did but then she got real messy again and signed that letter thanking joe biden. that being said this song sounds identical to "norman fucking rockwell". which is a compliment because both are good songs. keep jack antonoff away from beyonce though. that's the good thing about beyonce is she doesn't sound like everyone else which he makes everyone do (yes i am a fan of him but i'm critical of his production lol)

II Most Wanted- i'm sorry i've never been a fan of miley cyrus (except for the song she did for black mirror and that one EP she put out). i want to like this song because i like aspects of the song but it being a miley cyrus song with a beyonce feature is not want i want.

Levii's Jeans- this is also a collab i'm not a fan of. i actually enjoy post malone but i would've liked to see them in a more upbeat song.

Flamenco- idk how to take this song. it's stunning as usual. my thoughts on the lyrics though is she's kinda talking to fans maybe like the OG like destiny's child fans who have started to leave because she's starting to experiment more with her sound and they miss her old sound. i would love to know her take on this song in particular. because i know so many artists who decide to change their sound throughout each release are terrified of losing fans because they're so stuck on a certain sound.

The Linda Martell Show- another one i can't say much on since it's an interlude

Ya Ya- now.... remember what i said about bodyguard??? easily top 10. idk where on my ranking but it's there. the interpolation of "these boots were made for walking" and "good vibrations". there's something about that old soul rock sound that gets me every single time. i know that it doesn't sound anything alike but "freedom" has that same vibe, where it takes alot from old 60s blues soul rock. this is gonna hit so good on tour!

Oh Louisiana- i will say i really like this interlude. second favorite out of the ones with actual music

Desert Eagle- another song she chose to make extremely short when it should've been hours long... come on B

Riiverdance- its a fun and cute song. i think the beat is good but i think i like it more on my first listen.

II Hands II Heaven- i'm hoping this will finally click for me. im seeing everyone really love this song but idk whats not clicking for me. i'll definitely keep listening to it though maybe someday.

Tyrant- someone said this is the thique of cowboy carter and yeah i can definitely hear it. it's a sexy song and it's a fun song. definitely like it alot more after a second listen

Sweet • Honey • Buckiin'- her sampling "i fall to pieces" in this song is so special to me. i do want someone to take this "honey" and add it to the end of pure/honey though i wonder if it would sound any good. i think sweet and buckiin are the best songs out of the three of these.

Amen- i love how this really rounds out the album, calling back to the first song. it feels and is a very emotional song. don't know if i'll go back to it only because i think it could make me cry lol

overall, i think it's a solid album. if we're comparing the acts, which idk how you can because they're two distinctly different sounds, i would probably still go with renaissance but there's still so many solid songs on this album that are now some of my top faves. usually i rate out of 10 but it feels too low tbh, so i'm rating it out of 100. it will definitely grow on me just like renaissance did. 89/100.

Do you think Joe was the first partner that Taylor had ever really considered a friend before he was a lover and consciously considered their friendship throughout the relationship alongside their romance?

I’ve been listening to a lot of Lover lately and I noticed that she refers to their friendship several times, which isn’t something she’s really sung much about before Joe. I think she’s typically someone who really likes that spark/instant chemistry/obvious romantic tension and it’s not like that was necessarily absent with Joe, but it does seem like she forced herself to hold back on jumping into the romance a lot more at first because of the state she was in at the time. I feel like because of this time and who they both are, they formed a kind of truly intimate friendship that she hadn’t really had with a bf before. Obviously idk her at all lol but she says things like “it’s nice to have a friend”/“I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this” and (imo) she seems to have had a lot of respect for Joe’s character, intentions and integrity, which isn’t something she really ever got into about her past relationships, (she has often sung about having strong romantic feelings for someone but also knowing they weren’t the best/safest person).

The way she talks about little things like “save your dirtiest jokes for me” and “sit quietly by my side in the shade” and “have my back, yeah, every day” really paints a picture of a deeper foundation between two people who just liked each other and genuinely got on with each other beyond the sex and romance — they were happy cleaning up bottles together after the party was over (“I want your dreary Mondays, too”) and I guess this was just an excuse for me to talk about how devastating the peace/NYD mashup was to hear after all that — to become a stranger whose laugh she could recognise anywhere. 👍🏼 ok :)

i love how you started and ended this ask, because i was literally thinking, "you answered your own question" jfkasld. i do think it's really notable and sweet how she weaves their friendship and romance throughout, though, because it does indicate it was special and important to her. hello old old old anon ask I'm so sorry for replying so late but yeah hi 😭

I have tons of time on my hands for the next.... 30 minutes so let's get into it. I'll list a time line of my thought process to how I came to the 'ex-swiftie' conclusion:

1. She released a song called "renegade" which is good, but I found some lines problematic and unexpected, because I used to hold swift to a pedestal (guilty as charged).

The lines were 'is it insensitive of me to say get your shit together so I can love you' and 'is it really your anxiety stopping {something love something idk} or do you just not want to?' SOOOOO yeah these thew me off a little.

2. Her album Midnights came out which I ADORED, became my fav so quick. But then her multiple variations of vinyls etc threw me off again. This is when the Bad Feeling About Her started setting in.

3. Then she released the song 'You're losing me' which just BLARED red flags to me even though the song is actually good. It's the first time I think, where she hinted that she broke up with her bf (Joe Alwyn) because of his mental illness.

4. The ongoing carbon emissions controversy lol, and her buying carbon credits... like it just felt like a "hah I'm rich so I can do whatever wrongs i want and buy it out" moment. I really hated that, since I live in a pretty polluted city so it hit close to home.

5. She threatened to sue the teenager who published PUBLIC data about her flights. Bad.

6. The entire free palestine movement gained momentum and she stayed silent. She has her image as the American Princess and Activist Who Can Do No Wrong. Feminist Queen. Speaker For Those Who Can't Speak. Yada Yada.

I simply hated her billionaire self as she chose to stay silent (and still is). To call off the criticism she and her bestie Selena went to a live comedy show where the comedian donated his earnings for Gaza relief. LIKE. ??????? Basic billionaire below underground level of "donation"???? This had to be a joke. It was not.

I think this incident was the final straw for me where I realized I can't support her if she's such a human being. That's not what my morals stand for thank you very much.

7. I REALLY tried to separate the art from the artist but I couldn't. Not with my sane mind and strong ethics. AND THEN the entire Matty healy debacle. He's a misogynistic, racist, zionist, ugh of a person.

I don't think anyone can date someone with such drastic opposing values. So the Taylor-Matty era further tarnished her image in front of me.

8. Fast forward and she releases her new album The Tortured Poets Department. That's it this was my final straw. You can just Google and go on a reddit thread about how problematic this album is. I'll probably write a long ass essay on it. Anyway this is where I decided I'm done, back in April.

Since then I've just been trying to cope with losing my fav artist because of the person she turned out to me. And people say we shouldn't hold celebs to such high standards but bro. Taylor PROMOTES parasocial relationships. SHE held her image to that standard until recently. There's an entire documentary on Netflix about that - Miss Americana.

So yeah she let me down from the pedestal she put herself on. It's been 2+ months and I'm still coping, because I genuinely lost a very important part of my life - her music. It has got me through tough times and I have many good memories associated with those songs.

Anyway, here's to new artists to love ONLY for their music lol 🥂

Sorry if i'm bothering you but i really wanted to rant abt Johnny and Moz and hear some of your thoughts about these two certain topics that i can't get out of my head:  

I find it incredibly weird that Johnny and Morrissey (as far as we know) never became friends again or never tried to reconcile their relationship after the breakup - like how do you go from being best friends and hanging out with each other 24/7 to "We haven’t known each other for 35 years - which is many lifetimes ago." as Morrissey said on that letter. The strangest part to me is that, since the break up and to this day both Johnny and Moz never hesitate to mention again and again how much their relationship meant to them in the band and how much they loved each other during that period of their lives - i mean the way they describe each other and the words that they use come straight up from a romance novel. Also the fact that Morrissey continued to write songs abt how much Johnny meant to him and like Johnny getting that swallow tattoo on his neck and other weird stuff like why care to mention each other so much and make everything so dramatic when you - as you claim - haven't known each other for a lifetime? And idk on a personal level if it would be me in their situation i would at some point try to fix whatever we had if we obv meant that much to each other after all these years.

In all honestly when i read abt Marrissey Johnny sometimes just comes off as someone who suffered (and maybe still does) from internalised homophobia, when you read the way Moz talks abt him in his lyrics it definitely gives off that vibe "Though she needs you More than she loves you " , "Love is natural and real But not for such as you and I" or "I am born to hang but not to have kids and to never be wed - no, to someone whom I don't even love" and that interview when Moz said that "That perhaps Johnny Marr was in fact madly in love with me, but didn't feel he could act on that - or that he didn't have the courage to ever take it any further?'" And i don't want to seem like i'm trying to bash Angie or anything but i find they way the got married pretty weird and almost rushed in way like would they even get married if Joe Moss hadn't insisted that they do? Even Andy thought it was weird "They got married in some evangelical church. It was pretty bizarre. There were only about 10 of us there, including the crew. The ceremony only lasted about 15 minutes. I was a witness. Afterwards they hired a function room in the hotel and we had champagne and a buffet. It was a nice day, but it was just weird. It didn't seem real. You know what it's like in America - everything's plastic and phoney. It just didn't seem like a proper wedding. No relatives were there."

okay, thoughts on the latest happenings hmm, first off, I love Tony and Pocket's brother-sister dynamic, it's so funny and sweet. If it were me, I would've asked for a house and a retirement fund and a bunch more but then again, she is already working for Stark Industries, so I think she's already set lmao. And obviously, we already knew Tony didn't authorize the shit Joseph just pulled, but I'm still not buying the fact that she did it alone. I mean, she could've since she's well capable, but something is still very fishy about it.

which brings me to Steveioli (I really like the nickname now, it flows off the tongue so well), hmm, okay, I don't think he's that bad now, but still keeping one eye open because I still don't trust him. Which brings me to my first theory, I feel like this short interaction between him and Pocket is going to cause something. And Juniper will be the one pulling the strings because lol the manipulative sack of shit she is. Like, she's probably good with tech too, so what if she managed to get footage of the dance, or just Steve walking Pocket to her room and then show it to Bucky? (or maybe Steve would give it himself but i digress) And I fear that's going to trigger something ESPECIALLY knowing how Jocelyn is going to spin it. And yeah technically Bucky and Pocket aren't together albeit the blurred lines with this friendship, so she doesn't really owe him anything. But, I wished she could've told Bucky about the interaction with Steve first so he knows the truth of what happened before Jennifer manages to twist it. AGAIN THEORY. But I really do have a feeling Something is going to trigger Bucky to do something rash (not cheat, but I can't pinpoint as to what yet. Maybe some harsh words being spoken or him defending Jomar again). Either way, it's going to be related to Steve because he always seems to be a sensitive topic.

Also, to add, why was my danger alert flaring when Steve handed Pocket that lemonade? Is that me being paranoid? lol but then again, we don't really know what's going on with Pocket being sick so maybe I'm just reaching. But since I have an inkling that she was given something, I'd be wary of accepting drinks from anyone. ESPECIALLY the person who's still madly in love and probably has a secret mission to break a relationship for good. But hey, maybe that's just me.

And I'm so anxious as to what's going to happen on the mission. (help as i was typing this a theory came to mind) What if Bucky gets badly hurt because Jakari sabotages it just like she did with Rhodey? But instead of Bucky being mad at her, he's still going to defend her? Say something about it wasn't her fault blah blah blah and it's going to anger Pocket especially if badly is hurt. OR OR ON THE FLIP SIDE, what if Judith intentionally hurts herself and make it look like Bucky didn't defend her or somehow makes a spin that it was his fault? On the whole neighbours thing. We have a lot f neighbours, and even better l, there are categories in the continent, north, west, south, etc. (Africa and for context, I am Egyptian). You can never and I mean NEVERRR see me or anyone I know root for any other North African country, hell even our matches against any other North African country, is very stressful and sometimes even on the verge of playing mind games away from football. Also, I got to disagree, England are the number 1 national team I am hate watching in the Euros (especially with their “it’s coming hime” nagging since the 60s). They are so incredibly cocky it’s insane, especially with how easy and how close they were going to concede to Serbia yesterday.

As fir France, I agree on the Mbappe part, especially because he takes the spotlight from the real hero who doesn’t get enough credit for what he does, and he was the player if the tournament for 16, 18 and 22. And by that person I mean Griezmann (the man is so good and such a complete player, idk why he doesn’t get credit. Also queue me being biased since he’s the reason I follow football a lot and root for Atleti)

To be fair, I think the whole "It's coming home" for every tournament has become more of a joke than anything else, given how they haven't won since 1966. And honestly, every country goes into, or at least should go into, international competitions cocky as hell because if they weren't cocky, they wouldn't have qualified in the first place. If you don't go into a tournament like this thinking you can win the whole thing, what's the point of even playing?

England didn't concede against Serbia, though. I've talked about this before, and almost scoring and almost winning means absolutely nothing in football. It doesn't matter how you win a game, as long as you're the team that comes out of a game having scored the most goals. You don't have to like it, but it's the reality of the sport nevertheless. France almost conceded against Austria as well, but in the end, they didn't and ended up winning the game. And as much as I would have liked for them to lose or at least draw, they didn't.

You, and everyone else, hating England is of course completely fine! I hate France the same way you guys hate England, and given how nobody can ever convince me to change my mind about that, I won't waste my energy trying to convince anyone else to change their minds about England or other teams, because hating other teams is part of the sport! Especially given how, as long as the many teams I prefer over England are still in the competition, I honestly don't care if England make it past the group stage or not. Like I've said before, they're not even in my top 5, or in my top 10. So a lot of teams will have to get knocked out for me to start hoping England will win. And even if it gets to that point (which I really fucking hope doesn't happen), I won't be rooting for the entire team. God knows England has quite a few players I absolutely loathe and I want to see those players crash and burn in every way possible. But there are also players I genuinely love (Trent Alexander Arnold, Joe Gomez) and players I like (Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice). So should it get to a point where England is the only team I can support, for example, if they were to meet France in the final, then yeah, let's fucking go, England!

I'm not a huge fan of Griezmann either, but I much prefer him to Mbappé and he is a far more complete player. But you can't tell me you're surprised he doesn't get the credit he deserves because players like him never do. Strikers who score lots of goals will always get the credit, and it doesn't matter how much or how little they contribute elsewhere, or how dependent they might be on another player setting them up for goals and how they become invisible if that player isn't out there doing all the work for them, because the goals are all that matter. This has always been the case and will always continue to be the case in football.

So I have a question about something I guess personal but idk how you would describe it. So I know in your bio it says you are 25, well, so am I and I have a husband and a beautiful baby boy (who we named Dustin btw). Well I was saying that in October, my husband was going to take me to GA (as we are not far from GA) for a tour of where ST filmed because my husband and I are a huge fan of that show (and plus our anniversary is in October as well) and I was saying that Steve was my favorite character and plus the guy who played Steve (Joe Keery)was very gorgeous as well. well this woman (we’ll call her Marg) she is probably about 35 or 36 (her and I aren’t really good friends and she is kind of snooty tbh) told me that I shouldn’t be obsessing over random celebrities because that will make my husband mad and then he will want to cheat on me. I told her that my husband and I have an understanding when it comes to stuff like that and my husband loves me very much and would never do that to me. So then, this mother fucking bitch says and I quote “well if he was my husband, I wouldn’t do that to him” like okay bitch we all know that your marriage is on the verge of a divorce and your husband would rather play golf then to spend time with you. They have 2 kids but she had her kids (twins) when she was 19 and that’s when her and her husband got married. I told her that she needs to focus on her own marriage and stay the hell out of mine. Again, given I’m in a relationship with an income discrepancy (not that my bf has Travis money lol or even fwiw Joe Alwyn money but he earns well) I’ve had a lot of convos about shit like this. He does pay more in terms of bottom line. But like beyond my household contributions (groceries, utility share, some of the reno costs) that doesn’t mean I haven’t taken us on a weekend away (I did, to a nice place, and I paid for everything except petrol because we went in his car and yes he offered to go halvsies at least but I said no) or that I don’t pay for dinners out (I’m actually likelier to pay for nicer ones because he likes to go out like twice a week for a meal and that gets a bit steep for me but I’d still be going out if we weren’t together so if we go somewhere nice I tend to pay) or that I don’t pay for all takeouts (which we do in lieu of meals out some weeks or if we’re both busy because he hates like dealing with the apps or the delivery people so I just do it) or that I don’t cover most of our streaming subscriptions (I had them before we moved in so like I just pay those). Where we’ve gone away and he’s paid for it, I try cover the meals as much as possible (unless he beats me to the bill). At the end of the day, I’m still paying significantly less but it’s not like I’m not trying and it works for us.

I also feel the need to justify it a lot though and I’ve had friends - especially female friends actually - assume he pays a lot more than he does towards me because income and age gap. A friend of mine is having a big birthday this year and wants to do a weeklong girls’ trip and I was like “that sounds amazing but I can’t really swing it because I wasn’t working for part of last year” and she was like “but didn’t he give you money??” and I was like “not like an allowance lol” and then she was like “well just ask him to cover part” and I was like “I don’t feel comfortable doing that at all” and she got really pissy with me so idk I’m further relating to all of the dudes Taylor’s dating who obviously can’t afford all that she can and where obviously she’s gonna pay more but like that’s really none of our business and I don’t think any of them want a free ride.

Travis can afford to pay for this suite for one night in a whole year. It won’t financially destroy him. Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Week 3: Motown and I Have a Confession

So listen. It has taken everything in me to sit down and get this done this week. And I have to say that this recap is not gonna be your typical recap. I'm not really gonna talk about any of the dances because I have no desire to do so. I'm bored and it's the first time I have EVER felt like this show. I stop tweeting about it halfway through. I stop watching and leave to go home. My attention is pulled by twitch, tik tok, twitter and other things. I'm just not feeling it this year. Nothing is hitting the way that it should and it has.

So can we talk? Let's talk. I'm gonna just be honest here. I feel like this is a bad cast. Or maybe they paired them off wrong? Idk, but it is not working and that's the main problem. Outside of Barry and Peta, Lele and Brandon and Jason and Daniella, I don't care for any of these couples. None of them excite me. They're either a redux of a past partnership or they're so mismatched that the energy is completely off. It's really affecting the show.

I think I'm also ready to talk about hosting now. It's very dry. I'm so sorry. I know y'all hated Tyra, for whatever reason, but even with the problems (not all her fault), she kept the show interesting. I don't feel any interest when I'm watching Alfonso and Julianne. And y'all know that I love Julianne. She's my girl. But I don't think she works in a hosting capacity. I think she's much better as a judge. I would've much rather had her be the fourth judge and grab another past contestant with hosting experience to be with Alfonso. Why not have Vanessa Lachey? Maybe Jeannie Mai or Amanda Kloots as well. I know both of them are busy on other networks, but still. I just don't think hosting is the best fit for Julianne. I'm gonna continue to give her grace and let her grow as the season goes, but there's a concern for me there. Also Alfonso is not hosting the way I would've expected him to. He's not a stand up comedian, but he's witty and I feel like I'm expecting him to do more than he's doing. Idk. Hosting is hard so I'm going to give them both grace. But I am truly bored.

Now let me talk about the judging. I'm noticing that the judges are being very hard with scoring on the bottom scoring couples and being extremely lenient with the top 4 dancers this season. No one this season is good enough to be getting 9s right now. The best dance of the night was Jason and his feet were atrocious. 9s weren't deserved. Xochitl got some weird things happening with her legs. Ariana is still a bit of a mess. Charity is very stiff. You would think from their comments that those 4 are lightyears above Lele and they're really not. Jason is the only one that has separated himself and it's because 1) his quality of movement is so good and 2) Daniella is the best choreographer and pro on the show right now. But he's not at 9 level yet. So if he's not there, no one else should be getting anything more than a combo of 8s and 7s (no one but Jason deserved straight 8s). It's okay to not have celebs be the far out best of the season. Back in season 12, it took a while for Hines and Chelsea to separate from the pack. And even with that, Romeo, Ralph and Kirstie were all right there and Kendra started making a charge for the top right when she got eliminated. It's okay to not have an established frontrunner in week 2 and 3. I wish the show would be okay with that too.

Now as far as the judges' save is concerned, I'm not upset by it bot being around. That's how DWTS was up until season 28 when they shifted things due to the shenanigans of season 27. They were trying to make corrections so we never had a Bobby win or a semi-final Joe appearance ever again. That was the wrong correction to make though. The correction should be made with the judges scoring properly. But that's not what I wanted to talk about in regards to the judges' save. I want to talk about voting. Many of you don't know this, but I don't get to see the show "live". I live in the Mountain Time Zone and we get the show an hour after it actually begins. So I have to do blind voting in order to actually be able to vote for couples before they shut it down for the night. The Western Zone doesn't even get to see a single couple before the show closes voting. I personally hate that fact, so I just don't vote, period. I wish they would just do it like they used to, keep voting open for an hour after the show ends FOR YOUR TIME ZONE and combine the previous week's votes with the current week's scores to eliminate couples. That way ALL of our voices are heard and not just Eastern and Central time zones and those of us that remember to get to the voting platform before 7:55pm EST. With Disney+ being stupid and showing the show when it airs on regular TV, I just gave up on voting. Like what's the point of having it stream if you're still gonna stagger the start times? Please get real.

This would've been a good topic to have a twitter space about. Anyway, I'm just kinda bored with the show and I'm not feeling excited. I'm not even really feeling anything. Even when I was frustrated with the show, I still felt something. This season? I'm feeling very blah about it all. I'm apathetic. And that's the worst way you can make anyone feel about your product.

Like I said, a different type of review. I didn't really care for the dances this week and was dreading having to write about them. Hopefully next week will be better. I'm skeptical though cuz it's Disney week and it's the same 7 or 8 songs we always get with a couple new ones thrown in. Maybe I'll talk about the failure of Disney week for the next recap if I'm still not feeling it. And maybe up until then, I'll post Disney songs that have not been used, that would be perfect and their dance styles. I wanna spice things up because this season is not it.

Zubes- very complicated. y'know how i said she really hates zubin. well she kinda doesn't. she's more upset at her situation and that zubes got her stuck there in the first place, than at him for being the way he is. candi doesn't really talk if he's in the room, but will say a few things. she's very vocal about her frustration and dislike of the situation. she just needs a target for her frustration and it happened to be zubes. she doesn't actually hate him deep down

Andy- neutral. doesn't really mind him, but doesn't know why he likes zubin so much. she has to ask him for most things, since he's the only one who can get them. sometimes, if he bites candi, she freaks out but now she doesn't rlly mind since it happens a fair bit. (also whats with the goop coming off of him in all of that art he's in? i just wanna know what it is)

Rob- concern and confusion, but also friends. really worried and confused as to why he's always crying, but understands it may be something she can't influence or control. she's a pretty good therapist when she wants to be, and just kinda makes sure rob isn't going too badly. she'll talk to him a fair bit since he always wants to talk to joe, and gets denied every time.

Ross- doesn't really know him. ross is by himself, playing the drums most of the time, so candi doesn't really see him all that often. he was her favourite band member before they went all obsessive over MK+A, so is a bit annoyed she doesn't see him more, but she keeps it to herself and understands he might not want to talk to her or the others.

Bora- friends. candi thinks bora is cool. they talk a lot about random stuff they like. idk why but i think bora is good at cooking stuff, so candi might take lessons from him sometimes. she often babysits some of his rats if he can't carry them around or is busy preforming.

Steve- Pretty good friends. candi and steve get along really well, like casey and steve do, since candi's also on the quiet side, and is pretty accommodating for steve's needs. she thinks he's basically just a house cat, but that it's very entertaining. sometimes he'll just be sitting somewhere weird and candi wont mind. she's prolly trying to learn sign language or something similar to more easily communicate with him. she probably vents to him a lot bur feels bad for it

casey- probably the most healthy relationship in the au. casey and candi are both in the same boat, struggling with a lot of the same stuff. the two spend a lot of time chatting, doing random stuff, or being eachother's therapists. candi's got a lot of pent up frustration and sadness, and they only feel comfortable sharing it with casey and steve. they probably have a kindof family dynamic, like cousins or older brother/younger sister relationship since there'd be an age gap. candi is most like their pre-death self around casey.

Ryan- mysterious. seen him like, twice, maybe. thinks he's chill though, but gets scared when he just shows up like "hey lmao wanna check out this letter i got?" all of a sudden

candi is biromantic/ace bcz why not. if u gave her a hug she'd be really thankful, the poor girl needs therapy asap. she probably likes hugs a lot, but if someone just suddenly hugged her she'd just be like "wtf get away from me" before realising "damn i rlly needed this" and crying a lot. her hugs are super comforting, but a bit short. she hates sudden loud noises, like slamming doors or sirens, in fact she just hates anything happening without warning. she's super jumpy and gets anxious a lot, and copes by fiddling with whatever she has on her, or just by fiddling with her hoodie. her right eye is a little blurry from the scar over it, but it's not enough to need contacts/glasses. (sorry this is so long lol im hyper fixating on this stuff and im going thru art block but a sudden writing unblock so yh lmao. i might draw the others in the au soon, but i have a swimming carnival soon since im aussie and its still summer and a bunch of tests coming up. anyways, if u have any hc's please do share them im rlly interested in what u think :D)

Joe could totally relate w the zubin&Andy relationship. He Dislikes zubin and doesn't really understand why Andy likes him so much HSHFHD Joe and Candi would def bond over that and Joe would give understanding nods in response to Candis vents abt Zubin.

Oh yeah Andy is a biter HDJDHDHD he will bite anyone who talks to Zubin (especially if him and Zubin were in a convo and were suddenly interrupted) or anyone who doesn't rlly like Zubin (Joe avoids Andy for the most part) and the goop is just goop!!! He's just a melty boy idrk why I made his design like that but I've been drawing two wuv Andy like that since 2018 :p

Love the family dynamic with Steve/Casey/Candi that is so real :)) they'd def hang out a lot upstairs in the two wuv house (most of them live downstairs) and spend a lot of time venting to each other or chatting about random stuff :)) I think that is very sweet <3

Candi being scared by loud noises is so real I get it. She'd def ask Andy if he can go get her earplugs or like headphones, something to dull the loud noises in the house (Andy eventually is able to steal earplugs from some hunters in the woods)

He hadn’t even reached her before she burst into tears and flung her arms around him. “They fired me!” 

“YES!” Marinette blurted, without thinking. Truly, the lack of sleep was really getting to her. 

Alya looked at her, hurt. “What?” 

“I’m so so sorry!” Marinette rushed to console her. “No, sorry, I shouldn’t have cheered. I’m sorry you lost your job. I know you were really starting to enjoy your work there.” 

“What happened?” Nino asked, rubbing her arms. 

Alya sniffled and went to the tissue box. “Ugh, someone didn’t like one of the articles I wrote and complained to my boss. This person is very powerful, and so I was let go.” 

“Oh Al,” Nino comforted. “You knew that was a risk when you started for Newsweek.” 

“I know, and everyone was really apologetic about it, but…ugh! I hate it!” 

“Who complained?”

“No idea. Sounded like a politician though. With elections going on, it doesn’t take much for ego to get crushed.” She dabbed her eyes. “They still like me over there and said once things calm down, they might reach back out to hire me again.” 

Marinette sighed in disappointment. 

“What’s your problem?” Alya snapped. 

“Ugh, me and my big mouth.” Marinette shook her head. “Look, I’m not happy at you losing your job, I promise. But…I came over here to gripe about another assistant quitting on me. And when you said you got fired…” 

“Oh.” Alya considered this for a moment. “You…want me to be your assistant? Really? But I have very little experience in the field.” 

“Your role is less about designing, and more secretarial.”

“Gross.” 

“But it pays more than you were making, by a little less than double.” 

Alya screwed up her lips. “I suppose…it would be a good, safe alternative until I hear back from Newsweek…tell me more.” 

Happily, Marinette sat on the couch next to her. “Okay, okay, so most of the work is in communication with the different departments. Some excel, some Dropbox.” 

“Gross.” 

“But that’s only like…40% of the job. The other 60 is what you, Alya, are suited for.” 

“Oh?” 

“Is that why you keep losing assistants?” Nino joked. 

“….yes.” 

“Wait what really?!” 

“Mar, if you are asking me to put my life in danger, I’m going to have to politely decline…or ask for a higher salary.” 

“No one has been hurt yet!” 

“Not making a better case…” 

“No no, I mean—“ why was she bothering to beat around the bush? “The manor is haunted.” 

Alya and Nino fell silent. 

“I’m listening.” 

“There’s been a few incidents. People see things and hear things. Especially when I’m not there.” 

“Okay…what do you want me to do about it? I’m not a ghost expert.” 

“I think…it’s Adrien.” 

Alya’s shoulders sank as Nino let out a sad gasp.

Thoughts on the Jonas Brothers and their spouses' met gala looks?

In the past? I doubt any of them are showing up this year because Nick has the flu, Pri is still in Europe shooting and Joe is going through his life changes

Has Kev and Dani ever gone? I couldn't find any pics and I feel like I've only seen Prick and Jophie in the past

But yeah I'll share my thoughts on their looks

So THIS is what I think of when I think of Joe at the MET Gala because the image of him with his hand on Sophie's pregnant belly gets me every time. 🥺

Despite how things ended their love was still beautiful while it lasted and their love gave us two beautiful girls

Their fits are good. I LOVE his cape(?!?) or the tail of his jacket. Could do with more chest hair but that's just ME

His hairrrr 😩 and the facial hairrrr he could get me pregnant if he wants

Sophie's dress is simple but still pretty. I know I kept reading about her wearing flats - hence why they're almost the same height for once. But I mean who expects a pregnant woman to be in heels all night?

Her hair and makeup is giving AU Morticia Addams - which they did do Morticia and Gomez for Halloween one year and it lives rent free in my head

Then we have what might have been their first MET Gala together? Maybe. Like I said I'm not sure.

Joe is wearing my favorite color which looks *chef's kiss* on him. Always love seeing my guys

Nick wasn't with Pri yet.

I believe this was the year they got married but they had a very quick and short romance. Like they went on one date and then he proposed and they got married a few months later ALLEGEDLY

I love this fit. Simple, elegant and it looks good on him. Though I don't like the shoes.

I wish his hair was better so I could use this for Lip but Lip would NEVER cut his hair that short.

This is one of my least favorite Nick looks and I cannot pinpoint WHY!

It's not the stache because we learned I'm like the only person besides Pri who didn't mind the Bruno stache. Could be the eyeliner which I usually find hot on men but I guess he's the exception. Sorry, Nick. 😔

The photo of them looking at each other makes me want to throw up in a good way. I love how in love and obsessed with each other they are. It's one of my favorite photos of them.

Probably my least favorite look of Pri's for the gala. The dress is gorgeous and I love the gloves, but the outer layer looks like a giant sleeping bag with drapes.

Not a fan of her hair either. HOWEVER she still looks hot as fuck. Like there is no possible way she could ever look bad.

Nick looks good. Like the leather jacket and the tie with the broach(?) shaped like a dragon(?). Simple but it works for it.

I'll be the first to ADMIT Nick doesn't need much to look good because he looks good in most fits. He's handsome and most clothes look good on his form.
