Your analyses give me a lot to think about. I finished P5R recently and am trying to spread the Akechi brainrot to someone else by playing it through with them. One thing that I constantly think about, and I guess it's a minor detail, is the the fact the Thieves' Den theme is a more upbeat version of No More What Ifs. It's interesting to me that it isn't other songs (i.e. how they use With The Stars and Us for Persona evolution/important moments as a leitmotif). If they wanted something more generally applicable, they could have used a version of Our Light, another variation of Beneath the Mask (like we don't have 10 billion of those), or some other common theme. It's stated at the beginning of the conversation that it's formed from Joker's/Akira's cognition specifically and represents all of his memories across time (since the Thieves' Den stays the same no matter which playthrough you're on). But the song is uniquely Akechi's, through the lyrics and how it's associated with him both in P5R and in other Persona media. It makes me think, why that song specifically? Why a more upbeat version of it? Another detail (and again might be unrelated) is that the first day the Thieves Den is accessible is the first time he appears (as Pleasant Boy). IDK I'm definitely overthinking it.

This isn't a line Akechi appears to use in the game, but that "I can only be me" line pops up in Mementos Mission, of course, and I'm going to go into it because I really love these two pages:

"I can only ever be me." Ren knows better, of course—look at his face. Give him a break, Akechi. And look at Akechi's face—he's lying, or he's deflecting. What just happened here?

Shido calls Akechi in, for some dubious reason. Ren asks him why he doesn't quit, knowing full well it's not the investigation team, and Akechi is like "nah bruh". And then he smiles, mask fully in place, and says "I can only ever be me". It's one of his double- or triple-edged statements—the "me" he is, of course, will happily lie and deceive and be any number of different people.

I wouldn't be surprised if this scene was based on the song.

How do you think the Akademiya would react to a creator who's an engineering major (broad term ik, but I didn't want to get too specific) & also loves to draw in their free time?

Kaveh:

Discovered your drawings by accidentally walking in your room, thinking it was his.

You weren't home, so what harm was there in taking a few. Surely, you wouldn't notice, right?

Jokes on him, you notice every minor detail, including the fact that some of your drawings were missing. Mainly some unfinished blueprints that you had just drawn because you felt bored.

Needless to say, you got them back. Kaveh doesn't want to say that you would help him with some assignments if he gave them back.

When he saw you drawing in a sketch pad Alhaitham bought you, he was surprised to see many drawings of him and Alhaitham. WAIT WHY ARE THEY KISSING IN THAT ONE-

He asked if he could have the drawing, and you reluctantly and VERY CAREFULLY (it literally took you almost five minutes) to tear it out of the sketchbook.

He now routinely watches you draw various things. But, he would burn that book if you drew more images of him and Alhaitham..

Like a tsundere bitch, he "wouldn't care" about your drawings. Of course he likes them

He discovered them while you were lounging in the Akademiya's library, drawing away.

Peered over your shoulder for about half an hour before you noticed. He had already memorized everything you drew.

He got a book thrown at him for scaring you.

When you drew him, he acted like he didn't give a shit, but still stole the drawing.

Often spies on you as you draw.

Once caught you drawing a picture of him and Nahida being just fluffballs. He stole that one too and showed it to Nahida.

She wasn't very proud he stole, but she couldn't be mad for long when she saw the drawing. Now, she routinely asks to watch you draw.

Alhaitham:

Much like Scaramouche, I feel like he wouldn't pay that much attention to your drawings.

However, I feel like he would still be appreciative if you drew him or talked to him about your thoughts.

He wouldn't go as far as to ask to watch you draw, the man is too busy.

I think he would just accept a drawing you gave to him, and would pin it to a wall in his office like a proud father.

When people ask about it, he'd casually say, "Oh, Their Grace drew that." And proceed to get bombarded with questions about you and you drawings.

Zandik/Dottore:

If you were around while he was at the Akademiya, I feel like the two of you would be close.

HEAR ME OUT ON THIS, if I remember correctly, Zandik was an outcast at the Akademiya. So, if you went out of your way to draw him and help him with things, I have a strong feeling that would place you at the top of his favorite people list.

If you were there when he got expelled and sent to the desert, I feel like with your knowledge, you could create some things to help him survive until whoever found him finds him. (I forget if it was Capitano or Dottore)

I feel like while he was becoming a harbinger, you would help him along the way. Hes running out of people to experiment on? You used your influence to send people towards Snezhnaya. He needs funding? The Northland bank just got an anonymous tip, so Pantalone couldn't refuse. But, he definitely knew it was you.

If you only appeared after he was expelled, chances are you would run into him with the traveler and Nahida.

Basing this off myself rq, I'm an absolute simp for genshin villains. Arleechino goes by Father? Nah, she daddy. Same with literally any other harbinger. So, I feel like you would say something stupid while simping over his like 5 voice lines. (He needs more screen time)

We’re more prone to multiple tops/doms + a single sub/bottom, but that doesn’t mean that another scenario is completely impossible! If it works with the dynamic, we’ll love it. But for some reason, I guess we’re just not that interested. It’s good in theory, but doesn’t click, idk why.

Interestingly, when the two housewardens were stung by the jellyfish and some of their students were wondering if they should urinate on it, both vice-housewardens had responded individually with "How should we do that? It already swam away!". Needless to say, neither housewarden appreciated the joke.

As expected, we weren't able to get Al-Asim without also hurting Viper who, despite our best efforts to catch them while his guard was down, took the first hit for him. The Scarabia dorm split pretty evenly to tend to the two of them, and it surprised me greatly to note that their housewarden already knew about how inefficient urine is as a remedy. Viper on the other hand was unable to get his exuberant helpers to listen to him. I suppose that they may not yet fully trust his judgement after the events that took place during winter break. Even so, they were all so eager to aid him, I can't help but get teary eyed witnessing the care they hold in their hearts for their vice-housewarden.

Diasomnia students ended up spilling more tears than any other fluid, rallied on by Vanrouge to assist their leader. Were they tears of pride in being of use to the heir of Briar Valley? Or shame for sullying him? When questioned about it, the students weren't quite sure either. They also had to restrain one of the first years, who will remain anonymous, from chasing after the culprit into the depths of the ocean to get revenge.

Similarly, the younger Shroud also took the lead, giving his fellow dormmates a speech that I found far more... unothodox than Vanrouge's. At times he made it sound almost like the real objective would be the humiliation of their housewarden, which stirred the students in a completely different direction from the one I intended. For a brief moment I was afraid that it would lead to a prank war the likes of which I haven't seen as headmaster since the great hedgehog repopulation incident from fifteen years ago...

P.S. Funya~! Why doesn't anyone just pee in the sea when they go in? That way it cancels out the jellyfish venom when it stings you!"

long post talking about making neopets style art, but not in a way that's useful or coherent or proofread

idk why of all the things that i struggle to do, the thing i keep coming back to trying to pull off is 'imitate the neopets art style circa 2004-2007'. i'm really proud of the stuff i make in that style, but i've always got a nagging feeling about how there's like, very few applications for this very specific skill i'm building, and i could be spending this time improving at anatomy or perspective or anything else. i guess that's just the power of 'wanting to learn something really bad' combined with, critically, 'believing im really close to figuring it out'

there's something about the line weights on a lot of old pets that's really hard for me to capture, and i've gone through a bunch of different ideas of why that is- like, maybe its easier to do in flash, or its something about the way i have the pressure sensitivity set up on my pen, or maybe the official artists also carefully shaped and weighted their lines while scaling the drawing down every so often to make sure they 'feel right' on a small scale (lol), or maybe its that shit that artists who've been inking shit for a long time learn how to do intuitively that i'm just not at the level of yet.

i'm looking at this smug bastard like. how do they decide which lines should be thick vs thin. my instinct is to go thicker on the corners of points like the ear tips, but this artist went thinner, and i think weighted the lines heavier on the undersides of shapes where the shadows are? neo artists aren't immune to stuff that frustrates me when i'm making pet art either, almost every pet has some part of their lineart that makes a weird tangent with the damn Circle. the linework on the hands straight up isn't clear at all, but i can tell what the pose is from how the shoulders are positioned and the expression of the character, so i guess that doesn't really matter at the end of the day

im pasting the lines i'm working on next to existing pets with varying levels of detail, but it might be too early to tell if they have the right level of clarity. i'm also i'm back in photoshop because that's easier for me, but maybe i should have tried flash again- doing the art in vectors does give the finished image that hard to detect Crispness that i'm always chasing

in order, these were drawn in photoshop in 2019, photoshop in 2022, and Flash in 2024. i was going to be like 'oh god, the Vully DOES look sharper than the centibyte, it must be Flash' but honestly i got the halloween one to look pretty close?? maybe i scaled down my photoshop images differently in 2019............ i think i've also gotten better at mimicking the lineart style, so it could also be that, but that doesn't account for why the top one looks kind of blurry in comparison. am i crazy. is it visible to anyone else.

anyway ive gone off on a tangent. for some reason this is what i'm obsessed with doing so i'm just gonna keep on trucking until something else seizes my attention instead i guess

16. a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate

This is an extremely stupid thing to pick, but it's the first thing that came to mind, so... The fact that (in the drama version,) the show makes a point of the fact that the characters do not take their shoes off when they enter a home. Like, there were shots that specifically focused on this happening, when there didn't need to be, so it can't be anything other than a deliberate choice.

I'm familiar enough with EA shoe etiquitte that this surprised me, and after doing some reading up on historical Chinese shoe etiquitte, it seems as though shoes-off is a custom that was followed on and off throughout Chinese history. Thus, the best reasoning I can think of for why the showrunners made this choice is to evoke a historic or fantastic feel for their setting -- sort of like a Western fantasy show putting their female characters in hennins or wimples with veils. These garments were only ever worn in specific times and cultures that the show isn't actually set in (is Galavant supposed to actually be set in 15th century Burgundy? I doubt it,) but it's more about evoking an atmosphere than being historically accurate. IDK, I could be wrong about this. But if that's the case, it really is just a fascinating glimpse into aesthetic and storytelling shorthands from cultures other than my own.

This is such an interesting question! In regards to tattoos I honestly don't imagine many of them. I feel like it's definitely not a D1 thing at all. Like absolutely none of them. Not Cash, Gloss, Glimmer, OR Marvel. That does not seem like their thing at all ESPECIALLY in D1. So I honestly do not think any of them would have tattoos at all in D1.

D2 I can see it a little more but personally I think they sort of would wear their like..games scars as something they're proud of in lieu of tattoos. Brutus may be into it. Enobaria might have like..a snake tattoo around her wrist or idk she feels like maybe linework ivy around her wrist but it's not major it's not large. Cato and Clove don't seem like they'd do it either, I think they'd either CARVE a C onto each other with a knife/blade of some sort, but if they had to go the tattoo route I think they'd literally just get a C of some sort in each other's writing somewhere on their body. Specifics on where are vague because it would depend but that seems like them maybe!

Finnick and Johanna may have tattoos. That feels like them more so!

Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you? no, it's mostly gone the other way where tropes i used to like i now dislike. i wouldn't say i disliked a lot of tropes when i was younger, it was mostly the same nalu tropes that i still dislike now, i.e. evil lisanna, lucy leaves/gets kicked out, etc. etc.

Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue? no dialogue. i actually think that would be a neat challenge i'd probably do some day. i go so heavy on the prose bc something something show don't tell. i love me some imagery, symbolism, etc. etc. i think i'd die without it. a dialogue only fic would just be paced weird and i wouldn't be happy with that.

when i am writing, i can't listen to my ~regular~ music (unless it's a character vibes playlist but even then that's very rare for me lol) because the lyrics are just too distracting lol. i can't hear words i mostly know and/or connect with and also write other words bc idk- i don't have that many brain channels i don't think lol! as such, while writing i typically listen to either an instrumental playlist or something in a different language. recently what i have been listening to literally every time i sit down to write has been this specific 1980s japanese city pop playlist. something about the ~elegant~ vibes are like. soft and idk. it's perfect for background sound that is pleasant but not at all distracting.

🕯️⇢ on a scale from 1-10, how much do you enjoy editing? why?

i'll give editing like a 7. it's better, a lot of the time, than the initial draft, for me, (which i'd give like a 5) because it's not until i feel like all the details are starting to make sense and connect that i convince myself i don't hate what i've just written lol. once i start polishing it up i start to appreciate it. however, it's SO time consuming and full of so much second guessing and so much changing around the same paragraph 800 times and doing cntrl + f in the document for this one word you are SURE u used and need to replace but now u can't find it. it's so tedious. it's exhausting but very rewarding lol.

this is tough because i don't feel like i have too much wisdom lol. i guess for me a big thing has been pushing myself to write something even when i am not at my most inspired. i can still write something to be proud of on just a regular day, and even if it's only a few hundred words, i'd rather feel like i accomplished something. i used to wait and wait for the right moment to write something and find that nothing ever got done. i'm still a very slow author, don't get me wrong, but learning to just get some words, any words, down on paper has helped immensely in my process.

And that you knew everything.”

Maverick bites back a smile that’s fond, as much as it has a self-deprecating little edge to it. “I was a lot younger than you when I figured out that I didn’t,” he says quietly.

Bradley doesn’t feel equipped to properly unpack the meaning of the sentence, and he isn’t so sure that Mav had meant to let it weigh so much.

Ignore me, but I'm Proud of you Weeb. It took a lot but you did it. I know it's easy to feel negative about the situation, but **please be kind to yourself** and remember you saw the warnings, didn't ignore them, and removed yourself from the situation that was making you uncomfortable. And that's a good thing. You did right by you, I hope that makes you proud too.

Now that the situation has passed and I look at it in hindsight, I knew something was fishy the entire time but was essentially bullying myself into continuing the interaction out if some misplaced uncalled for guilt. Like jesus st one point he said something like "I also enjoy video games" and i was like???? Not many "24 year olds from Florida" speak like that, ya know. I bounce back and forth between being midwestern/southern to being more formal and eloquent but like I at least? Don't structure my sentences like a fucking robot?

The entire time I was thinking "theres no way you actually want a relationship when you're telling me literally nothing about you like the literal most you're after must be nudes or something". and did you notice when I typed that paragraph at him about being sus he only answered the two specific things I had used as an example of basic details he wasnt sharing about himself, and he then offered nothing more, and even changed the subject to how I was typing a lot?

and even after he made that comment here I fucking am "explain to him why that's weird. Maybe he literally doesn't understand" so I think I quite literally said things along the lines of "if im typing a lot its because I am confused by what you want or are trying to do here" and just. Like im speaking to a fucking gradeschooler.

Like here's how I would like idk "in his shoes" kind of advertise myself to someone, or at least open up the conversation: "hi! I noticed we had a lot in common so I wanted to say hello and maybe get to know you a little better! :)" His opening line to me was literally "Hello.. What's good?" two periods bad grammar and everything. His speech read as very "English as a second language" to me which I only bring up because, YEAH HE WAS DEFINITELY CASING ME LIKE A SCAMMER, asking me my hours, my wage, trying to calculate my income!

Oh mother fucker! Him saying he's unemployed may also be part of the scam! "Oh im unemployed please tell me about your job and your wages because I'm looking around" LIKE THAT'S WHAT I ASSUMED? I really am too fucking kind sometimes. He was trying to figure out my income and my potential as a cash cow. Dude I work in fucking retail, you think I have money to send you?

But that's how these sorts of people get you, isn't it? They find out you're vulnerable or lonely or kind or all of the above and they make you attached to them and then suddenly "oh my god im in horrible debt and idk what to do please help me 🥺" or "oh no I had a horrible accident can you please send me money to help while I recover". It's not always so outright as simply asking to borrow money

Anyways. God. I guess it shows I'm always trying to be empathetic, if not to my own detriment. I've just been struggling so much for so long that I try to be nice when I can. People don't deserve to be miserable. Unless you're an asshole. Then you're on my list.

1. what's the fic youre most proud of?

hmm, right now? might be "the price of growth", it went through a lot of iterations, and i'm really satisfied with the end result! the entire fugo zine was such a nice and pleasant experience, i think i gained a lot from it <3

2. what's a fic that took you to an emotional/dark/hard place?

"a brand new doomsday" is a fairly old fic by now, but it was a very mentally exhausting process to write that one. i needed to dissect my own relationship with grief pretty thoroughly, which is why it remains probably my rawest fic (even though i'm not that proud of it anymore). more recently probably "if not in this life then maybe in the next", although i would rather phrase it as me writing it as a result of being in a dark place emotionally. same with "the eyes deceive". there's a lot of unspoken parts of myself in those ones haha.

3. what fic are you emotionally attached to?

oh, all of them! but if i had to pick just one, it would probably be "the eyes deceive". like i just mentioned, i wrote that after the hardest winter of my life, and it can be seen on a lot of its aspects. ofc it's still a fanfiction, not a vent post, but let's just say bruno's "i want to escape from this body... or at least make it my own" came from. a Place

6. what's the hardest part of the writing process for you?

editing hell. i've become pretty proficient at banging out loose first, second and third drafts, but the process of making it consistent and flow well is always a lot of painful and hard work >_< i need to somehow improve myself when it comes to this, because right now, the aspect of having to edit anything over 10k just feels... literally impossible haha.

9. what's your writing process like?

that’s a difficult question to answer. it really depends on various things, such as my mental state, how much time i have, etc... but if i had to simplify and generalize it as much as possible:

get the idea for a fic

write a loose draft of what i want it to contain, maybe some scene fragments or pieces of dialogue that appeared in my head

sleep on it, sit down to refine it, continously adding new details. minimizing the research at this stage, as well as looking for the perfect synonyms. that can come at the editing phase

connect the standalone scenes one way or another. finish draft,

enter editing hell. put on a three-hour piano/post-rock/lofi hip-hop/whatever helps me focus in that moment. suffer. take breaks.

once finished, bask in the euphoria then sleep on it.

proofread it one last time then if i decide to post it, forward it to my beta and then post it to ao3. experience the greatest high of life.

10. how has writing positively impacted your mental health or overall mood?

oh, it’s a great outlet for various things! it helps me to express things i struggled expressing, gives me a place to put the emotions that are difficult to deal with. in other words, it’s cathartic, even if i don’t end up posting it. and most of all, it’s connecting with people. knowing that people read my fics and get something out of it, be that a smile or perhaps even a tear, it’s unimaginable and insanely flattering, not to mention getting comments or fanart! it really made me feel like i left some sort of mark on the fandom and in this world, as sappy as it sounds.

12. What’s your perfect environment to create/write?

hmm i can write basically anywhere tbh. but i do really like having a hot drink nearby at all times!

15. How do you think your writing as improved over time?

hard to say! but i think my unsage of the language improves with every piece i write. i think i particularly improved a lot when it comes to descriptive text and metaphors, i used to be shy with those. and i think i’m better with pacing lately too, although that part is always difficult to estimate!

17. What’s the best engagement/interaction/feedback you’ve received from someone who’s read your work?

WHEW how could i mention just one. receiving fanart blows my mind every time, it’s like, you mean the words i wrote, projected an image into your head??? AND you drew it?? it’s bonkers!! same with people writing comments, i don’t get a lot of them (i doubt any writer my scale does), but i save all of them and occasionally reread them when i need a little pick-me-up <3 but the most memorable interactions i possibly had is when one time i would mention a fic of mine on twitter, and people would go “YOU WROTE THAT??”. it really made me feel like i have reached the people i wanted to reach, and that is such a precious feeling!

20. What’s the greatest gift you’ve gotten from your writing?

believe it or not, i can actually feel my writing abilities paying off whenever i’m writing assignments for school LOL. i just do the same thing as i would do with a fic, first i bang out the draft, and then continously refine it... i’m grateful for all the experience i accumulated thanks to writing, it really helps me out in these cases! but most of all, like i mentioned before, it’s the connection that i establish with it, with my friends and everyone who reads my fics. it’s a teeny-tiny community of its own! posting my fics online and having people read them makes me feel heard and understood, and most of all, accepted. sappy again i know, but i wasn’t always given these things during some of my life stages! but it was good to learn that those never last, and ultimately, all of us deserve to make their voice heard etc. cheese cheese cheese

When Ohm said in an interview that Bad Buddy was different than any other BL he has ever done I didn't think HE MEANT THIS. Idk what I though he meant but I didn't thought it meant this like not even in my wildest dreams I thought he meant "Patpran are gonna be the best ship ever, gmmtv is lucky to have us 🤩". Honestly the acting, the writing, the lighting, the music, the cinematography, all the scenes have a purpose in here. There is not unnecessary cringe scenes, everything in this story is put together in a way that makes every specific detail of the story important. The way that the tension was built so that we could had the rooftop scene was very well done. This is not like other BL's in where the character realizes his feelings and does something stupid like dating a random girl to ignore the fact the he is attracted to a boy, this series doesn't create unnecessary toxic drama just to add more plot. That isn't needed here because they focus on what's important, the love between two people who weren't supposed to love each other but the bravely love each other. Also the fact that I didn't cringe for even one second at the love confession shows how well written this and the character's chemistry felt so real that you can tell that the actors were comfortable with each other and aren't homophobic like cof cof other actors cof cof. Also the fact that the director is gay makes this series even better, you can tell when a story is written with a queer perspective or isn't. When is written by a gay person it feels more real and less forced and that is the case of bad buddy. I'm so happy that Ohm and Nanon decided to play these roles, now more than ever I am convinced that no one would have done it better than them because they actually get themselves into their roles and aren't afraid of feeling their characters too much. I could talk hours about this episode but it would be too much so for now I would just a final point to this already large post. The emotional connection and tension between Pat and Pran was really well performed by them, they were able to do what only some actors are capable of and that is making you feel exactly what they felt. Have you scene a kiss on screen and just cringe or feel like is superficial? That is because there isn't emotional connection when there isn't emotional connection, all types of affection are equal to nothing when it comes to romance which is why just some ships are able to have an effect on me. But Pat and Pran's love is all about longing and yearning, about desiring something you feel that you can never happened which is why when it does happen it feels like flying because you can't believe that is happening which makes it really magical. This is what Pat and Pran's kiss had, magic. Is not the kiss itself that makes the scene as good as it is, is their love that is manifested in their kiss that makes the scene to be so good. Hope you all understand what I mean. Anyways a round of applause to every person who contributes to that scene, it was really wonderful. Ohm and Nanon have all the reasons of the world to be this proud of their work, they really deserve all the attention and even more.

But now seriously thank you for asking.

First of all, music. I needs lots of it and it has to be specific songs that can put me in the mood for what i want to write. Try to make playlist for sad scenarios or for happy ones ecc so its easier and you dont have to always listen to a single song for the whole time.

do not, i repeat, do not start by doing every single request one after the other without stopping and dont keep them always open ecc. I know it's exciting when people start to noticing you and ask for things ecc but if you do that, as I did, you'll get burnout really fucking fast cause ideas inspiration and motivation dont always come at the same time and as soon as you need them. Try to take a few and take your time with them, have fun most importantly and never try to impress but try instead to make yourself proud.

If your try to think about shit that can impress others everything gets harder so just think about what you would like to read or to see and go with the flow.

If some requests are boring, triggering or you simply dont like them/don't really feel like doing them then don't. You don't have to please anyone babe, you're here to have fun and to do something you love so if you force yourself you're not only going to get the biggest writer's block of your life but you're going to feel like writing is a chore.

Download google docs. I write from my phone too and its not only easy to use but its really comfortable and helps a lot with readproofs ecc

Make aboundly clear your boundaries ecc

Why i do when i have to start a request is to think about first as headcanons sort of format cause ideas go around more easily this way, then when i get a somewhat start point of what i want to do i start to get more detailed ecc

This are literally fanfics so do what you want with the characters. Have fun, personalise them and give them all the things and quirks, personalities and headcanons you want. You dont have to write every slasher/character as everyone does write them. Look at how i describe Bo for example; most people think of him as a person with anger issues ecc but I woke up one day and decided "yeah no you're just dumb and soft and husband material" then boom, himbo Bo. What i mean is that your opinion and your point of view is valid and important and makes your writing so much more fun and personal and interesting.

Idk besides that what else i can tell you other than don't be too hard on yourself and take it easy ♡♡

Well, this is omegaverse and besically it's about Joonas getting into his heat on the tourbus and the others (all alphas) helping him get through it. There is some tenderness and actual love going on in the last part so it has some sweetness and feelings to it 🥺👀

This was the second biggest fic I've ever written and it was so, so much work which I totally underestimated but I'm super proud about actually finishing it and yeah. Also went completely out of my comfort zone with this because I never planned on writing omegaverse... :) (also btw really like the difference between each of the guys with Joonas and especially the interaction between Joonas and Niko in the end!)

Fantasy au with the boy being... Well, who knows ✨👀 Tommi is a werebear but that's the only thing that's very safe just from reading the story :D And aside from that it's about them being involved in a battle where one of them gets injured and doesn't come back to their safe house immediately so there is some drama and angst in this.

I just really love this AU and I definitely want to explore this some more! I like the way I wrote this not jumping straight to the point but rather giving more and more hints throughout the story ^^" I was super fun to write and I love the whole group-dynamic in this 🥰

Well the one I specifically mentioned is what it says in the title... Aleksi coming home to Joonas and Rilla. It just isn't a happy reunion.

I like the atmosphere in this one I think? Like nothing actually happens but it's still super obvious that something is incredibly wrong and also Rilla 🥺 being there comforting Joonas and probably being the main reason why nothing happens 🥺

About the series in general I can just say that I'm kinda proud of the whole atmosphere I created in each of the 3 stories so far and idk... I really went out of my comfort zone with this one when it comes to actually writing something in this direction down and not just having the idea but being too...scared? of actually putting it into a fic. But I also had a hard time writing the first part because I didn't want to go into too much detail about what's happening but also didn't want to skip it all together so I had to find something in the middle which was tough. There is at least one more (maybe two) part coming for that one in case anyone cares 😅🙈

6. Who is you favorite character to write? Why?

i think sasuke, though naruto is like right up there with him. sasuke's fun to write because he's complex, and a little bit mysterious, and deeply flawed but still fundamentally good. i like that he doesn't try to hide his trauma and that it informs every decision he makes, whether directly or indirectly. and while he himself is very complex, his motivations are rather clear-cut and he's generally a straight-forward person with his thoughts and feelings, it's just a matter of looking past the often stoic facade. it just gives you so much to work with, even when you're mapping his character into a different AU and need to adjust things. he can be adapted to nearly any setting with only minor changes- though you might have to get creative about how you do it if you're looking to avoid as many changes as possible- but at the same time he can be clearly read as the same character even in completely wild settings or severe OOC-ness thrown in. that's something very few characters manage to encompass well.

7. Are there any characters that you would never write? Why?

fucking jiraiya. i refuse to write him, i haven't let him appear even in close-to-canon stuff and don't intend to ever have him physically manifest in my writing. he's only mentioned here and there. i hate him, i always have, so i just leave him out for my own sanity's sake

14. Tell us about the fic you are most proud of writing.

at this specific moment, nightshade's shoes is my crowning achievement. it was originally supposed to be, like, five chapters max of basically just random sex scenes so i could test out an AU idea i'd come up with, but somehow it's become this very detailed and intricate story. i'm planning it to be less than 25 chapters long (probably 20-21 chapters) and currently have up to chapter 15 posted, but it's already twice as long as my next longest fic. and i've kinda used this fic as an opportunity to do some heavy duty character analysis and exploring what trauma is like for real life people navigating how to have a healthy relationship, and i'm then using that to juxtapose the kinda campy subject and setting of being a bouncer and an exotic dancer having steamy costumed sexscapades, y'know? idk i'm definitely rambling but i'm very very proud of this one and i love the direction it took even though i didn't initially plan for it.
