Friendlocke Violet Gijinkas (Part 1/7)

Since the edited episodes are starting to come out, I figured that bc of that and the fact that I've been keeping this in the back burner for a loooong while now, might as well complete all my friendlocke violet gijinkas!! Some are gonna stay the same while others are gonna have slight/ complete redesigns, so please keep that in mind!

LARK:

HUGE nerd. spent most of his time during the Uva Academy studying different kinds of pokemon as well as different fighting styles he can utilize once he is able to go out on his own journey with his very own trainer! Too bad that didn't really help in the long run...

His entire wardrobe consists of McDonald's related outfits. It's fucking insane. He even has some from long LONG ago that aren't available anywhere else.

The bubble pattern on his hair is able to move and change. Nobody knows how this is possible, not even Lark himself. All Lark knows is that his hair looks incredibly stylish!

Speaking of bubbles, he has the ability to blow bubbles whenever and wherever he pleases!

Often keeps himself extremely clean and gets upset if even a small speck of dirt gets on him, despite this he somehow smells like McDonald's food and axe body spray. Disgusting. He's so cool!

Even after death he still likes to hang around the other team members as a ghost, often getting to know the newer members as well as reuniting with the old ones. Sometimes they see him, sometimes they don't. It usually depends.

SARA:

Due to being a human in her past life, Sara is able to actually speak with the other humans in the pokemon world. However she usually doesn't due to it being seen as extremely weird and out of place. She did slip up once while talking in the presence of Arven, who thought it was the weed making him hear things.

Oinkologne are usually unable to do much with their hooves but Sara spent nights practicing how to knit with her new hooves and now she's able to do it flawlessly. I don't know how she managed to do that but go queen!

When first joining the team she'd often have the urge to eat her food related companions. It was a strange time for Sara, but she managed to overcome it.

When Peppy gets sick, she usually is the one who nurses him back to health. She was a human once so she often is able to figure out whatever sickness Peppy has and treat it properly. I suppose she's like a second mother to him.

The bag she carries with her is full of thread that she collected from various Tarountula she encountered on the journey, as well as little things she knits together in her spare time.

For the most part, Sara forgives... but NEVER forgets.

Pastey:

Before joining the team, Pastey was a nameless wanderer. He's been down every road in Paldea and knows almost the entire region (except for Area Zero) like the back of his hand.

He's gotten hurt pretty badly throughout the run (ie. the Mikey fight, the Atticus fight, and ESPECIALLY the final battle), however, he does not gain any (physical) scars from those fights. This is bc he's basically an axolotl, and axolotls are usually able to heal without scarring.

Pastey's "arms" are, to put it simply, mud prosthetics. More info here vvv

Pastey HAS met Mall Bingo once before the run, however, he doesn't recognize her. The only reason he does not recognize her is bc she wears glasses. (You know how people somehow aren't able to recognize Superman bc he wears glasses in his civilian attire even tho his face remains the same? It's basically like that lmao)

Unlike the lightbulbs he eats, the gasoline he drinks isn't really mandatory to his diet. Gasoline is like alcohol to him and he drinks it like an absolute CHAMP.

He goes fishing when there's nothing else to do or when he can't sleep at night. He doesn't do this bc he thinks it's fun or anything, only bc it's a "good time passer" or so he claims. Other members of the team will often sit with him and vent out anything that's troubling them at the moment, and Pastey is always there to listen to them.

And that's pretty much it. Next is Joe, Hannah Ü, and Mykyie!

While he was repressed then, he wasn't as of Charlie's Home Alone, so I think it's clear to claim that a part of his "homosexual awakening" was connected to the fact that he was gradually getting more and more into the idea of being punished (gone sexual) for his sins, to a point where he was just genuinely jerking off to the "evils of homosexuality"

I do wanna continue here though and say Season 15 is pretty interesting because we see Mac battle between being Catholic and proudly gay. He seemingly has no issue bragging to a Priest in the middle of a church that he's into triple penetration, but it is his sex life that is the driving "reasoning" for why he thinks he should become a Catholic Priest:

He's been "S-ing&F-ing" his way though life for too long and now he thinks God has taken away one of his identities (Irish) as a result. Mac's idea of being punished by/for God continues, but it's now through the form of revocation (as opposed to shame or flagellation). I think there's a clear "connect the dots" idea that depriving himself of sex (via becoming a Priest) is an "evolved" form of allowing God to punish him for being gay.

Obviously Mac learns he was lied to, as he actually is Irish, so his "journey" here is a bit of a wash, but the fact that his rationale jumped to God punishing him for having gay sex still stands. As he grows to accept himself, he's still looking for ways to feel shame (which, as we've seen, gets him off)...

But is the constant seeking for some form of punishment still there? We didn't see much of his Catholicism in Season 16 (I think the only mention of God from Mac was in The Gang Gets Cursed), but we did continue to see his sex life and—well, that was pretty heavy on Mac, openly gay dating, somehow managing to be neglected and deprived of actual gay sex, wasn't it?

In my opinion it's definitely a tie between Mammon, Leviathan and Belphegor. Mammon In the OG it's been stated that Mammom oversees all forms of greed, and we know how he is head over heels for the MC as well as possessive. (well the rest of the boys have possessive tendencies towards the mc so lol) In Nightbringer we actually see him go super possessive over the MC to the point his brothers struggled trying to get him under control. Although it's been resolved, I still wonder if he'll be able to go that crazy like that again @ the MC. He is the Avatar of Greed after all, he makes it known to everyone that the MC belongs to him only and that he was their "first." Leviathan Avatar of Envy, enough said. I do remember in the OG (whether it was in one of the pop quiz events or the main story, I'll have to dig later) he did say that the MC is his. Either way I do believe he can be the most yandere for the MC. This jealous serpent??? Obviously. The MC is his idol, his angel, his player 2. I genuinely think he can be a terrifying yandere too. Iirc apparently he was supposed to be a canon yandere but they scrapped it? Correct me if I'm wrong but that's pretty much all I can say about him for now, It's not much so sorry. u __ u Maybe I'll edit and add more later. Belphegor He's a canon yandere (mmNNFF YUMMY). In Nightbringer his yandere side is shown more in Lesson 33-14 , Where he tried to keep the MC from going back to the human world (in MC's case, back to the future) by putting a spell on them so they feel tired. He's so wants the MC is to stay and to keep for himself and it shows, not just in nightbringer but pretty much anywhere. Dude got jealous/angry in Lesson 55-18(OG) where if you choose the option "I'm worried about Lord Diavolo." Belphie responds with "sO yOu cArE mOrE aBoUt lORd dIaVoLO tHaN mE?" i think there's a small terrible part of viago that instinctively thinks it was a bad investment/solution to send rook off with varric, since he's lost one of his best assassins. and then of course he hates that this is his first reaction because rook is more than that to him, but he's been conditioned by their lives to worry about his power and the mission first. and then i think he throws himself into trying to prove that he is a better man than that by finding a cure, without being obvious about it, even if his worry actually makes him messier and obvious. a similar outward reaction to what i've seen people headcanon about how he feels when he gets the news that rook is stuck in the fade trap in general (anger, determination, frustration, etc)

the idea of viago as a man who clings to "i rose to this rank for a reason, above the other crows. i'm a killer but with my poisons, i'm cleaner. i'm royalty. i'm better." is so beautiful to me. who he wants by his side/publically allies with is made more interesting to me for that reason. rook and teia make a very short list, so for him to lose either of them (especially to a fate worse than death. like i know there's a cure but i'm not sure if that's common knowledge and it has rammys bro) will inevitably cause a crash out the likes of which thedas may have never seen before <3

Yeah bkdk wouldnt be dead in the fandom. But it would be dead in the canon story. And at that point, if you make izch canon it would open door to the canonization of other stuff. Who is ti say Bones would not push for it?

I think you are jumping into conclusions…? The manga ended without them being canon. Let’s start by that, we can’t assume all of that when they didn’t get together in the first place. Sure, the extras could imply something, but their arc ended pretty well on its own and felt pretty closed, he can leave it like that and it would make sense for the story; there’s no reason to actually 100% believe they’ll be canon, bkdk dies as a romantic pair in the manga and every straight ship becomes part of the canon world of the anime no matter how nonsensical it is. Who is to say Bones would not push for it? I’m nobody to say anything, but I sure talk a lot -if Bones cares about making money, they will just keep focusing on the action part. I’ll use an example ppl loveeee to bring up when discussing extra straight content post canon: nar//uto. Ppl in the west went crazy when he got married and had a child with Hinata at the end of the manga, and while not all of the original target audiences liked it, many did bc naru//hina was the most popular ship in Japan according to popularity ship polls, along with sasu///saku. As a series, Nar//uto used lots of fan service for the anime adaptation, including some kisses between the two male leads besides the original manga one if I remember correctly, but it was always as a funny gag. We won’t know if the mangaka wanted to make them super close friends or lovers or a third thing, but we know ppl there loved those straight ships. from a marketing point of view, now it makes no sense to add romance into a pair that doesn’t need it anymore.

idk if horikoshi will add it, or ask them to do it, or admit he wanted to do it but “didn’t have time for it”… but I know Bones added extra content probably bc they thought they needed to compensate from the lack of romantic content in the manga, and for the last seasons have kept pretty loyal to the source material and even cut some scenes which were interpreted as “omg izu///ocha moment” in the manga for some (I’m not talking about fans liking that moment and feeling excited, it’s more about those ppl who claimed every time they interacted “bkdk is dead, we won!!”)

Admittedly I really only played games I've owned for ages throughout 2024, so it's not anything new or exciting unfortunately. But I really enjoyed letting myself relax with GTA Online, Diner Bros, and I started The Pale Beyond! If I had to choose for a newer one, then The Pale Beyond would be my GOTY.

19. What’re you excited about for next year?

Getting married in March is the big one!! Right up by that would be finally getting my last ever name change done (first middle and last so the whole thing is fixed lol) and updating all the things/documents/etc!!

I'm also excited for going to more theatre shows (whenever we can afford and can get seats we like lol), more beach trips, and possibly a trip out to Maine or Rhode Island (never been to either so there's gonna be So Much to see!!)

Aside from that, I'm excited to keep working on my writing, fic and original. It's been a bit of a rough patch with my writing the last couple of years, but I'm hopeful I can get a bit more done and posted re: fic, and that I can get back into writing more original things and maybe post some of the original short stories I've been sitting on for the last few months.

22. If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be?

I honestly don't really know, bc knowing me at the start of last year I was too scared, irritated, and frustrated with the state of the world and other things to want any advice from anyone, let alone myself. I think I'd just not bother myself back at the start of 2024 for my own sake lol. He's doing his best to get by and that's enough.

Granted, I'm absolutely terrified for the rest of 2025 re: state of the world and my country, but there's enough excitement/good upcoming things that I'm feeling slightly more positive/receptive to the idea of the rest of this year happening lmaooo

animal: i am really bad about this one but sticking with the classic bnuuy

i believe currently that my favorite flowers are orchids and ever since i graduated from hs my parents send (blue dyed) orchids for special occasions

my favorite tree is the ginkgo! i really love the leaf pattern and the fall color. less of a fan of the berry smell but it is what it is
