After doing AJ and Twilight, I thought it was time to try Rainbow Dash for my unofficial “attempt at making the EG characters’ pony forms look different from their FiM counterparts” series (it’s a working title)

Thought process and stuff below cut:

So my main idea when making the RDs different was doing something to the rainbows. I think it’s fun to imagine that RD got rainbows on her wings as a result of the sonic rainboom, and prior to that they were simply tipped white. This is obviously something that FiM Rainbow Dash would have, but since Equestria Girls Rainbow Dash didn’t do the sonic rainboom (as a pony) she would have her natural wing color. (I’m tentatively not gonna count the rainboom that appeared during the Run to Break Free music video bc she wasn’t a pony when she did that, she was just “ponied up”).

On the topic of “ponying up”, I noticed the color distribution on what makes up the tail-like portion of EG RD’s hair is different. Instead of including the full rainbow it’s only green, yellow, and orange (no way Irish Dash). So the actual tail on EG RD only includes these three colors.

It’s hard for me to explain but just the general distribution of the colors in EG RD’s hair is different too, as well as having a slightly different hairstyle, so I gave her pony form that too.

The reason why EG RD (and almost all the other EGs) are/will be paler than their FiM counterparts is ig to signify that they don’t originate from the pony world (if that makes sense). The world wasn’t entirely ready to accommodate them so something’s slightly off in a way that would be difficult to spot from afar, but a more experienced eye would be able to pick up on it (for some it’s more subtle than others). It’s also an extrapolation off canon pony SciTwi, and bc the EGs in their home world have paler body colors than the ponies. (Tbf I kinda took the idea and ran with it bc idk if it was even intentional. Its so subtle it could’ve been a weird lighting choice for all I know lol)

I also decided to not make EG RD noticeably shorter than her FiM counterpart. Maybe RD just stopped growing at a younger age so even the technically older FiM version would be around the same height lol.

But uhh yeah I think that’s everything for her? I’m doing either Rarity or Fluttershy next though so look out. (I’m probably not gonna do Sunset or Starlight bc we don’t know anything about their original EG counterparts)

oh yes beetlejuice 2 is just kinda okay . its got a lot of fun gags and sfx but. man is it too long and just kinda is like 2 different movies . like they establish its villain really early on as beetlejuice's ex wife which is hilarious in concept and her presence is really cool...for like the 5 minutes total she is on screen. then we forget about her for like an hour to focus on the human stuff and the other two 'antagonists' on top of the subplot between the deetz and delia mourning her husband + we gotta make sure to put in a bunch of. really pointlessly drawn out musical dream sequences becuse First movie (even though the banana boat segment is what. like a minute? theres two of them that are like . 3-5 times longer) idk i just feel like theres too many god damn characters in this movie

you got the legacy characters (lydia, bj, delia, charles, the shrunken heads ig?? theyre in it a lot more idk why) plus lydias daughter astrid, her boyfriend Megaminds dad, bjs ex wife, the treehouse kid, willem dafoe and theyre all taking up their own little sideplots so its like . 4 different stories all going on at once and theyre all . enjoyable...i guess but idk i feel like the first movie was simple enough with. reverse ghostbusters , two ghosts that wanna get living people out of their house so they call up this schmuck. and they just stick with that the only other plot is lydias grief and crappy family life which ties into the main couples stuff well creating a nice weird. family of sorts. in this movie it feels like they just put a pause on one story for a while and then come back to it 40 minutes later. they establish early on that astrids dad/lydias ex husband died after they got divorced and even though lydia can see dead people she has never seen the dad and the whole plot leads to. the most disappointing and milktoast conclusion of hey. We love each other . Because family.

idk. i liked how they brought charles back without bringing back jeffrey jones it was actually really funny. i really liked all the special effects and they got like a bit gorier/grosser than the first i did like that. beetlejuice himself ill be real hes never been all too funny to me hes barely in that first movie for a reason hes better in small doses. winona ryder and jenna ortega are fine i feel like they really werent given much to really show off their chops despite being in the movie a lot theyre both just kinda. rushing through the mother/daughter story line youd expect. i dont like the boyfriend he just feels like alec baldwin from the cat in the hat. speaking of which no the maitlands arent in this they literally have one line saying they found "a loophole" and just left (although i did see their crash was on the miniature in the opening, nice touch /gen) catherine o'hara no notes as always. the new villain lady i wanna steal her away shes so fine im sorry shes in it for like 5 minutes. willem dafoe being in the movie was a nice surprise and he serves. really no purpose to the movie he could be cut but he was funny i like him and his secretaries

idk 7/10 but a low 7 just wait for it to come out on sflix watch the teen titans go episode for now

Hi there! Sorry I haven’t been active all that much lately. I’ve lately been working on a project, going on vacation irl, and I’ve been juggling art block.

So I’m having a bit of a problem right now in terms of the FNAF Security Breach AU idea… thingie. I’ve been trying to figure out who in babtqftim/IM I should make the main Glamrock animatronics. Because the personalities between the two universes are so different I’m having difficulty choosing. Technically even who I assigned as Sun and Moon wouldn’t have been my first choice. (I would have make cup be moon and mugs sun because of the personalities but I chose the current arrangement because of color scheme. Maybe not my best choice but can you really imagine a blue sundrop and red moondrop? It’s weird TWT) And this idea wasn’t really supposed to be a whole thing but apparently people like this enough to want more so yeah.

So! To fix this problem! I’m gonna ask you guys to vote on the arrangement you thing would work best! I belive the general idea we have is that these personalities are going to be purposefully different and we’ll blame the Vanny virus on the change. “Making them evil” kinda thing ig. Because these animatronics are already themed around different animals and we’re assigning animal characters some characteristics and qualities may change. Idk. We’ll see.

The ideas we have so far are:

1. Bendy as Freddy, Felix as Monty, Boris as Roxy, and Alice as Chika

2. Felix as Freddy, Bendy as Monty, same arrangement for Roxy and Chika

3. Have Boris as Gregory, and Bendy as Freddy, Felix as Monty, Alice as Roxy and maybe Cala as Chika.

4. Do villains from IM with Felix or Bendy as Freddy, and Roxy and Chika as Ava and Sarah. Not sure yet about Monty. Maybe Brute or Reide. Idk. And then try to sprinkle questers throughout the AU somewhere.

5. OR! Rearrange everyone and start over! Including Sunnycup and MoonMug!

With the new release of FNAF security breach ruin some things might change. I don’t know. And I might also be willing to try to include Glamrock Bonnie, Music Man, and some of the other bots in the game like map/security bots and wet floor signs? And maybe Glamrock Foxy? I don’t know as much about them so that’s kinda iffy. We’ll see.

The Kilmoores have I‘m Dying Mother, Cian has a more soundtracky song named QKThr by Aphex Twin which I think kinda fits (although it sounds a little more peaceful) because it sounds kinda disjointed and heavy. I had a really weird thought recently where I thought that sound design from Cian’s pov like in cinematic format would sound super neat.

2. I don’t know everyone‘s. I think Norna likes orange, Cecil blue, Ed purple, Jules like a burgundy red and Mathildis green.

3. They live in a city so. city stuff I guess. But they also hang out with each other and go pet animals at a shelter. Stuff I‘d like to do ig. They also listen to music a lot?

4. Malik maybe because he can’t hear that well when it’s stormy. It’s a little scary to him.

5. Tea‘s good with milk and honey (mine). The museum archive guys are indifferent. Roscoe is trying to push tea because it’s a little less strong than coffee that has his team all jittery (looking at Norna and Cecil). The science guys drink it if they want to be fancy. The Kilmoores drink tea like, all the time even if in crisis it’s only little ugly dried leaves. Maybe with a shot in it or smth.

6. Huh, idk honestly. The mind burglars have kinda this thing about how abuse (even if only emotionally) fucks you up. The museum archives look a lot at death and grief. Baldur‘s death is how people were manipulated and trained by politics during the war and what that leads to. Kilmoore is about how the war fucks people up directly. Yanno.

7. They‘d probably be confused as hell and try to stick together. Especially Cecil, Mathildis and Cian would be puzzled as hell at each other because weren’t they in different situations, they’d probably think the same. Roscoe wouldn’t like Treeve probably. Ed would try to explain communism to the Baldur’s death and the Kilmoore guys which is a bad idea because they’re alternate universe wartime people.

8. The highest bidder. They be doing it for the cash. Usually it’s corporate shitheads.

9. „Steal“ is more like „we remember the information and submit it.” There’s also overwriting, where you alter a memory to influence a person, but if done wrong, it can cause the person’s sense of self to deravel. Victims do still have them. Complete removal is impossible.

It’s difficult as heck, not only do you have to get past the person’s brain and manipulate them without noticing, you also sometimes come across some pretty fucked up shit in their minds and have to get through to get deeper, and you have to go deep a lot of times. A lot of times you need to keep the person unaware and make them feel as if they’re still conscious, which is why you need a team to tweak stuff. It’s not like you’re rifling through records; it’s like you’re in a place. Steal at once is difficult- the distinction between individual memories is not black and white, and as you go through you see and “steal” a lot of stuff. Fun fact: Cecil has trouble with his memories deraveling later in the story. Say Yipeee to traumatizing slow memory loss!

tiff thoughts part 2

seeds was like. fine i guess? idk, it had some pretty composition & good scenery shots, and the style emulation of tiktok/IG was flawless (& i wish it had been leaned into more past the first act lol), but it overall parsed as kind of simplistic, directionless, punch-pulling, & budget-constrained. for as much of a thriller as it's trying to be, there's little sense of threat or escalation. some of the humour was pretty funny, esp when it (very intermittently) leans into internet-style jokes, but a lot of it was also reeeally dry

sharp corner was really, really good. an extremely tight character study. im obsessed with the sort of inversion of "defending the homestead" it presents. astonishingly realistic depiction of Main Character Syndrome with an unwaveringly meticulous & attentive rendition of the pursuant thought processes. the decisions wrt the rural scenery and the cast demography (eg the protagonist inviting himself to a black man's funeral as part of his entitled absorption of suffering) reaffirm my belief that the neuroses in question are best taken as, like, an extension--a really creative one!--of white supremacy & colonial fantasies of atomized self-sufficiency

ick was solid. the central theming (monster/infection as (in joseph kahn's own words) longstanding & festering in an embodiment of the modern culture of crisis (& also, like, stagnancy/alienation)) is surprisingly meaty but held back imo by the noncommittal tone. im 100% able to fuck with an insincere movie, but i think one is kinda kidding oneself to suggest that a film in the key of, like, 'scary movie' is meaningfully bringing light to any loftier ambition. the political satire is present but barebones, and the bothsidesy have-your-cakey insistence on attempting to skewer both the right and the left (plenty of Conspiracy Nut type jokes, and plenty of "Woke Soyboy" type jokes), while admittedly demonstrating a rare-among-filmmakers degree of awareness of The Moment (albeit putting that to little use), when combined with the solipsistic tone, ultimately gives 'south park' more than anything. i will concede tho that it does have some really funny moments ("im calling the president"), and i think it's worth a watch purely for the insanely idiosyncratic visual style--i cant overstate how much it aesthetically parses like a feature-length music video (feat. plenty of needledrop-as-punchline moments too!). it's 90 minutes but feels a LOT longer (and not even in a bad way!)

the assessment was fucking WILD, i absolutely loved it. insane performance from alicia vikander. clashing incentives make extremely compelling drama, & textual richness is mined from the high concept--im enamoured with the idea of two people, assured in the security of their own social position, running aground of an abusive state apparatus, and the pull-no-punches approach to painting the scenario in shades of perversion & violence only enriches it further... it's as if the movie begs the viewer to remember times & places & ways that they & others have been dehumanized, deanonymized, stripped down & humiliated as part of some system's function. the biggest weakness is prpbably that the setting--an overtly eugenicist dystopia--is BEGGING to cast a dozen more shades of gray over the narrative concerns wrt reproduction & reproductive futurism, but the screenplay doesnt seem to have been written with any interest in that. i was initially wary about the (VERY) detailed epilogue, but ive settled on feeling that it recontextualizes earlier suspicions in a way that is more to the film's benefit than not. also i was thrown off by the extent to which elizabeth olsen looks and sounds like caitlin reilly lmao

ritsu is from the game (series. i guess.) ensemble stars!! which uhhh is primarily a rhythm game (es!! music) but also has a like . i dont know what to call it but its es!! basic. irrelevant . ANYWAY. ritsu is one of the 51 (i guess now technically like... 56? characters? with 4piece added? idk. whatever) idols in the game that you can collect cards of :3

so !! ritsu is part of the unit Knights which is like. kinda fanservice-y but like in a romantic fantasy kinda way yanno. im bad at describing music but they're good . some songs r synth heavy (fight for judge...) but they're usually very upbeat songs :3 the unit is comprised of Tsukasa Suou, Leo Tsukinaga, Izumi Sena, Arashi Narukami, and Ritsu himself !! Tsukasa is the current leader of Knights, taking the role after Leo graduated (everyone went/goes to an idol school ig called Yumenosaki. now the main cast works at EnSquare or smth. Leo and Izumi are pretty important since they formed the unit but this isn't abt them (im insane abt them too tho)

anyway !!! that outta the way . ritsu . the loml ....... he's a funny lil vampire guy. whether or not he's actually a vampire or just like, chronically ill, is kinda up for debate. could be both who knows. either way he's an eepy lil guy !!! he has an older brother (rei) whom he used to have a good relationship with until during Rei's... second? year? he left ritsu alone while he was out searching for a cure for their condition which led to ritsu kind of hating him (im pretty sure ritsu calls him "that brother-shaped thing" or smth on a few occasions its funny) but they're getting better. there's like a fuckton of lore and shit but im. just gonna skip it. anyway . ritsu also has a childhood friend (mao isara) that he's like. yeah. mao regularly has to wake him up for school (and gives him piggyback rides bc ritsu whines until he does lmao) and the two are in the same year (and graduated now) . funny bit of lore: ritsu says at one point that he literally conditioned mao to fall asleep at the sound of his singing voice bc he added his songs into the playlist mao listens to to fall asleep. he's so fuckin weird. he's the Strategist of Knights . he does a lot of the planning and stuff :3 he's also like . very prone to teasing and can come off as a little apathetic or cold at times but he's actually so full of love for the people he cares about . i call him a bpd guy bc he tends to be really jealous and possessive of people (he was basically nonfunctional w/out mao for awhile) but he's getting more independent <3

I think just in general Pink's personality can be pretty contrary to his appearance. He swears alot, he's somewhat irritable, he can be bitchy and sarcastic, he's down horrendous for like every man he's ever laid eyes on, he's depressed as all hell, more often than not his house is a mess, things like that. Also just his interest in horror. Also him being emo, he doesn't usually dress like it but say MCR within his earshot and good luck getting rid of him. Taking this man to Hot Topic is a disaster they got both worlds.

Ok so this movie is rise of the beasts!! Michael Bay is not directing this movie and you can already tell the difference THANK THE LORD (the human companions are not deeply cringe and annoying for once)

according to the trailer (which released at 9 am this morning (I watched it after I finished my Sol (early btw))) the beastformers - transformers whose altmodes are animals like cheetah, [raptor bird I forgor], rhino, and gorilla as opposed to transformers who are vehicles like cars or jets etc.

The beastformers r like “help us out autobots! Earth is in danger!” And optimus prime, autobots boss, is like I am not losing the idgaf war “This is not our battle..” but obv smth changes and the autobots help out in fighting against the big bad UNICRON , the eater of worlds 🍽️

My thoughts on all the models :

- mirage looks amazing !! HOWEVER he is so clearly a Jazz ripoff ! (Jazz was the black va’d second in command to op in the g1 series who was a fan of humans and their music) not only does mirage looks like jazz, have a similar voice and aesthetic, the whole purpose of his character is to act as a bridge between the humans he’s fascinated by and his autobot friends , something, I’ll give credit, jazz didn’t specifically do

I’m not even mad about it tho that’s just an observation cause mirage seems so cool!! like a totally charismatic character I’m obsessed !

- arcee ! She looks so pretty !! Not as pastel pink as I’d personally like but she really does look great

She’s voiced by Liza koshy of all people and we didn’t get to hear her in the trailer so I’m super curious how that turns out

with human companions in transformers media, it’s ALWAYS a hit or miss and most often misses

The only human companions that are good are Sari, Raf, Spike, the Burns family and Doc Greene and Frankie <- rescue bots is a phenomenal show

Anyway about the human companions for this movie I’m super charmed by them and I’ve got a good feeling about it

Alright, so this will p much be me talking to myself for the sake of getting stuff down, but idk…so I did go ahead with the idea, gave Lúcio a Turalian name, made a pretty poor carrd, etc. People asked about my concept, and brought up that he would be a very good, if not perfect match for Solution Nine. And honestly, they are right. Make him a Tonwawtan that got trapped in the dome, and then grew up in Solution Nine, rising up to stardom through his music, and uniqueness to not wear a regulator. Use that platform to bring awareness to the world outside the dome, and possibly when/if the Arcadion stuff comes to light, be a proponent of getting rid of the souls.

It’s not only smarter, but far safer than the half-baked concepts I went with. I still am struggling to explain his tattoo and the history and workings behind it, not that there’s much of it. One of my greatest joys from roleplaying him in the Overwatch servers, was people recognizing him IC and freaking out over it. Idk why it made me feel so giddy and happy. Though I know I can’t fully bring all of his character through to FFXIV, I’m neglecting quite a big part of his character with the path that I chose, namely that he’s not as well known, and thus, has much less of an influence.

A few reasons I tossed it was the age didn’t line up which is an easy fix, just make him older; I don’t have and don’t remember where to get the glam, though I think it may be a dungeon? I didn’t mean for my main to be a rp character in the first place, he’s just a guy I make in every game I like; and I got too attached to my ideas as I always do. In trying to create less work for myself, because I wasn’t such if I could or wanted to play him off as someone so new to the outside world, I may have ended creating a looot more work for myself instead. I feel like I’ve just lost sight of the character entirely, under my own warped view of him. Not sure if I can recover that at all now. I can certainly try, by introducing him to the dome, but it would take a lot longer for such his fame to accumulate then.

I’ve also just lost a lot of confidence in myself. The reason I made him main Dancer is because despite my world in my head, I cannot play up a Bard as well, nor can I perform as well as he can. I wish I could, it would certainly be fun, but I don’t have the spoons for it, nor the skill. He’s far better than I am at things I wish I was. Gods know why I like him so much…

Maybe I could play two separate characters on one actual character lol, but that feels like it would be insane lmao. The more I think about the way provided for me, the more I kinda feel like I’m kicking myself for not doing it. I wanted him to be a lot more worldly experienced, than what that other idea provided, but…idk lol. I fear I already may be burning out. Not to forget his culture either; I feel like no matter what I do, I’ll be doing a poor job at representing it. It’s an odd feeling that I can’t really explain, maybe guilt for feeling guilty lol. I’m sure there’s more I’m missing but it’s alright. I’m talking just to talk at the void ig. I know I’ve been in a poor mental state, almost erratic in a way. I don’t want to alienate or tick off anyone in the rp community, but gods know that will happen regardless of what I do. Anyway, if you can’t tell, I’m rather tired, hence the word salad. uhm there's two arcs. arc one is just elise and ripley and warren and charlotte trying to figure out what the fuck is happening and then arc two is when teddy comes along and they have to deal with the family and stuff

so . i don't really have designs for maris and eula and howard and gladiolus and them quite yet but i do know that gladiolus has a dark red joan of arc type bob. and that's all i got for them lmao just as like a preface a lot of stuff is still in the works

ripely is the main character (they/them, nonbinary, aroace) and they are around 19 ish ? maybe ? idk maybe a bit older. anyway they typically wear baggy hoodies and cargo pants and for the first arc their left eye is covered by hair. uh they have amnesia in the first arc too and lives with warren and works for elise. then they figure out that their supernatural half was separated from their body and they figure out how to merge it together again and then their hair isn't covering their eye and such. also they are the creature of lost media which covers A Lot of stuff btw. oh and also they aren't comfortable with talk about sex and stuff so that's how i'm avoiding writing about sex 👍

and then there's warren (any prns, transmasc genderqueer, queer) who is punk and stuff. warren is an informant and information broker but if they get hired by a pig or styler (rich, govt ppl) then they give false information and stuff. uh they also work in a mechanic shop? warren wears liberty spikes all the time (he's hiding horns lmao) and baggy pants (hiding a tail). in the first arc the crew doesn't know that she's a creature but then they find out. gear is a creature of the sun btw it's quite silly. he is super old but like mentally 20 ish? but basically his turning into a creature was fucked up by the family so hes a little fucked up and in hiding from them and she also tries to stop creatures from turning others it's a whole thing

elise is my favorite lmao. she uses she/her and elise in public but with her close friends she also uses she/he/they and henri. uhm shes completely normal and is the manager at a convenience store that ripley works out. uh she's just def queer but she doesn't label anything. she's transsexual and also goth <3 uhm she's amazing and yeah

charlotte (she/they, transfem, queer) is elise's roommate and also maybe something more? their relationship is very ambiguous it's def sexual but maybe not and who knows. well they do and they are completely happy with how it is but it's very ambiguous and hard to define. she's related to a big huge mob family except bc the world is so so bad the mob family isn't even bad so. she loves arson btw she's very silly like that. oh and she's human. she's uhm. kinda like tiktok coquette with the bows and pink and stuff but she listens to goth music and doesn't really act like it ig.

thaddeus (he/him. general queerness and transness is left vague on purpose bc he doesn't really know and it isn't really important) (also called teddy btw) is the reincarnation of esme who was warrens bff back when they were mortal. he's always destined to die of illness at a young age, so teddy is super sick all the time. teddy is warrens best friend, and does not know that he's caught up in all this esme and family stuff. he only really comes up in arc 2 where he starts getting possessed by eula who found him. btw the family (eula maris howard gladiolus) want to find and bring into the family warren and teddy. warren and the crew try their hardest to help teddy bc it's really bad but they can't and then eventually they sit down and talk to the family and create a plan bc teddy doesn't want to die but the only way that can happen is if the family turns him. the family has to fix their shit bc they have done some bad stuff and they do actually try to get better so then they turn teddy and the cycle is broken. teddy is a creature of the earth btw.

eula (she/they, transfem, bi) is a creature of sound. shes really old kinda and was turned by maris and howard and is dating maris and is howard's daughter. she uhh. she finds teddy bc sound also can be applicable to video calls, voice chats, videos, and regular phone calls. she doesn't realize that teddy is esme at first, and just uses him to do the regular possession and feeding and such (creatures must scare humans in order to feed and survive) and then is like oh shit this is the little sibling that my dad keeps telling me to find. and yeah

maris (they/she/it? i haven't decided on prns. uhhhh idk lesbian) is a creature of water! she's older than eula and gladiolus by a lot but mentally is the same age as them. she and gladiolus both befriended eula and wanted to claim them, so it pushed eula into the river and drowned them before gladiolus could (u have to die by the turners hand) but kinda freaked out and didn't know where to go from there so they went to howard for help who they were friendly with. and basically they stayed friends and then howard adopted eula and maris started dating eula. uhhhmmm maris is basically part of the family at this point tbh. it is not howard's daughter but his friend btw. uhh and she also at some point finds and befriends and claims charlottes long lost brother it's not really important

gladiolus (she/her. uh aroace?) she's very masculine btw. but also cis bc i think that's nice. anyway she was relatively new and then her turner left her so she was kinda orphaned and didn't know shit about what was happening. and because her powers were a lot and she didn't know how to use them her brain instinctively wanted to have a family member so she got attatched to eula pretty badly and was planning on turning her? but she didn't really know what was happening. and then after maris and howard turned eula and stuff they found gladiolus and adopted her. she uh is also sometimes called gloria. and she's a creature of physical senses

howard (he/him. uhhhh he doesn't label his identity at all) is a super old creature who survived the great extinction that wiped out like 99% of creatures. he has been trying to find a family for a while. he found esme and warren, and was planning on turning them when they were older but then esme died so then he panic turned warren but bc it was so rushed he fucked up and then warren is fucked up and left and then he found maris who he became friends with and then they found eula and then he adopted them and then he wanted to find eula's friend so he did and he adopted her as well. he's been searching for warren all this time and also esme but mostly warren bc he's still not sure if esme actually reincarnates or not. and then in the end he does find them and he ends up adopting teddy warren ripley and also kinda charlotte and elise. oh and he's a super powerful creature of order. he kinda has this crush on a creature of chaos and it's super cute and they will eventually get together.
