The Magnus Archives but I've cracked the algorithm (maybe)

Okay, so let's start at the beginning.

As we can see, there are a lot of different stories with little to no recurring characters. At first, I tried to classify them with themes, but that didn't really work, so I tried to look at the characters. Thing is, I classified them in 4 categories:

"Normal people": Jalapeño, the people who make a statement about their neighbours/ loved ones, probably the others Archive workers. They're Just Like Me And You. Potential future Victims?

The Victims: people the statements are about. Influenced by Something, they adopt unnatural behaviours, live in fear till their death. They always die at some point.

The Shepherds : I don't have a better name, but think of them as avatars for Something. Like the victims, they're influenced, but to a point where they evolve (physically, mentally, or can get supernatural abilities). The thing that marked them keeps them alive, and they act as kind of "recruiters", finding and trapping Victims (Jane Prentiss spreading the worm agenda to other people, for example). Simon-probably-fairchild, Not-graham, the pile of meat with eyes in the neighbour's flat are all Shepherds.

The Deities : are they gods? Demons? Supernatural entities ? I don't know. The point is, we don't have a lot of proof of their existence, but they're the "Up There" who started everything. The giant eye in the camera (episode where Gerard gets to the hospital) is a Deity. The Piper is a Deity. The sky who ate the son is another one. When the priest is in the haunted building, there is a fight between the Thing that claimed him as its servant (which will cause his death) and the Thing that lives in the house. Both Things are Deities. Therefore, we can guess that there are many of them, and that a person can be affiliated to one and a single one Deity.

So, what I am saying is, there are Bad Guys Up There that control Bad Guys Down There, and all of that causes humans to experience pretty common fears brought to an unbearable point.

For the moment, I found 9 Deities:

Giant Eye (paranoia? Being watched? Voyeurism? Idk...)

The Piper (war and massacre?)

The Soul-Sucking Sky (agoraphobia? Being alone?)

The thing that possessed the exorcist (idk what it is, but it's a thing)

The thing in the house (fire? Being burnt?)

Jane Prentiss' squirmy patron (rotting? )

The meat pile's chef (meat? Why is meat scary?)

A thing that is behind all the spiders. There are too many spiders there.

Not-graham's employer (the Unknown? Being replaced?)

So...yeah. I don't know if I'm right. My theory has many problems. But that's the best I can think of. Validate me?

i think we can come to a conclusion that sabosan was a concept as early as 2014 was all becaude of acesan. thats the pattern i noticed. ace/acesan was often mentioned. and i believe it's bc not only are ace and sabo brothers, but bc sabo aimed to eat the mera mera no mi. and if sanji were to meet sabo, sanji would be reminded of his late lover, ace. and the angst potential is so real... sanji looking at sabo... just as a replacement for ace? ouch

anyway, imagine despite all precautions taken and how careful and vigilant the two of them might’ve been (save for that one very spontaneous emotionally charged night), gojo still manages to get his s/o pregnant. it probably isnt even smth that crosses the realm of possibility in gojo’s mind at first just BECAUSE of how cautionary they (he) would have been. having a kid isnt really on his agenda. so much preparation and thought would have had to gone into even entertaining the idea on normal circumstances. but gojo--what with everything going on pre-shibuya arc--would be too buried under his responsibilities to dedicate the proper time and energy into caring for a pregnant s/o. it’s probably pure denial and avoidance that halts him from delving deeper into the possibility at first. he doesn’t have the time so the universe wouldn’t be so cruel as to layer another obligation, especially one as important as this, onto his already sky-high pile---is what he thinks. but then he remembers the universe has never quite been on his side (perhaps terrible luck was the karmic balance of the strongest). being head of his clan and the sole pushing force of it does deem him a little freedom. there’s nothing anyone could truly force him to do, which is why he’s the nerve to be so rebellious in the first place (along with just being the literal strongest sorcerer---who gon check him? LMFAO). but gossip and social pressure from the higher ups is bound to aggravate him. he still has to stay somewhat within the lines of their politics. play a little by their rules. impregnating a s/o without any social standing or status in jujutsu society probably spreads rumors of diluting the gojo bloodline. he ignores it, ofc. lets them have that if they want. but he draws all lines at dragging his s/o and specifically their baby into that world. there’s a huge, steal wall of separation he builds thicker than before between his s/o and jujutsu society. no one is forcing his s/o into the gojo clan, no one is forcing his child into obligation or training either. he decides. this is his. and they belong solely to him. 

(that being said he’d definitely train his child regardless if they’re born with cursed techniques or not when they come of age. its just under his say not anyone elses :) SDJDSDFJ)

as for the relationship with his s/o, idk if he’d marry them outright just because they’d get pregnant. that entirely depends on the s/o and their own perception of marriage. if its important to them, then maybe. but i dont think gojo would want to put that pressure, and he doesnt really care about what society or anyone would have to say abt having a child out of wedlock either. actually it seems more in character for gojo to never actually legally marry but have a whole secret long-term relationship on the side that no one knows abt until he’s sealed and his s/o comes lookin for him 💀. when his students find out hes just like oops lol hehe silly me 

their relationship would definitely take a different undertone. gojo already regarded his s/o as his, but the pregnancy would make that x100000. he’d start making decisions on their behalf without them always knowing, takes more of a lead. might not legally take the title, but definitely assumes the role of a husband. a lot more protective, but its all very subtle. his s/o would feel the change in energy coming from him. he might move them out of their apartment and somewhere more safe and secluded. the city is crawling with curses, so the farther out they are, they less likelihood of danger. might set up a curtain that protects their home that keeps curses and curse users out when hes not there. he’s still not as present as he’d like to be, so his s/o might be left feeling lonely, but there is a notable effort in how much more frequent his visits will be (especially closer to the delivery date). 

gojo might  🤏 be a little more vulnerable than usual too. it might actually catch him by surprise. he thought he’d be just as vacant and as distant of a father as someone like toji. there’s probably a theory out there that jujutsu sorcerers make for shitty parents. they’re all too hardened to coddle the dearness, the preciousness of youth. hence why so many sorcerers are forced to grow up early and thus the cycle repeats. he probably rationalizes that he’ll be like that too. that even if he’d try, and god will he try, he’d still manage to fuck his kid up a little. it’s just how these things kind of go. but there will be so many nights that he rests his cheek against his s/o’s growing belly and tells their baby stories about his day, his students, his battles. he complains about the higher ups and their stagnant ways. he tells their baby that he’s the strongest sorcerer alive, and thereby the coolest dad in the world. and on nights where he’s troubled by things he’s too proud to divulge, he tells them that he will rip time and the universe apart for them with his strong hands. that no one could touch a hair on their head without his permission. that he’d do anything for them. that they were his, and he’d protect them for the rest of his life.

Can I just say I’m OBSESSED with your new story “You’re Half of Me Now” like I cannot begin to express how much that first chapter drew me in. It’s so SO well written and just, AH so good.

I was wondering! Since Branch’s hair got cut, is it noticeably shorter now, or did it go back to his usual length since it was already extended when cut? Honestly I would love to know more lore behind cutting a trolls hair, and how long it would take to grow back/heal… God I love Branch angst, and your characterization is just to die for.

I’m so excited to see what Chief has planned for Branch… (‘No, I can’t serve you to the kingdom. You’ve got a far better use though.’) Ma’am, MA’AM?!?! WHAT DO YOU MEANNNNN!?! I can only really think of one thing and I’m like, pretty sure that ain’t it???? So what is it???? I’m so so curious.

AND I cannot begin to gush about Creek. Personally I hate when people try to redeem him, not to say it can’t be done, but like, he’s such a bastard of a character, and I like to think he always has been. He 100% gives the vibes of a secret bully when someone (Cough Branch Cough) is alone with him. Mean girl behavior. And you write him so nasty, urgh I love it. Love his characterization.

Branch begging Bridget to help the others (HIS village) in the same breath as telling her to make sure Poppy doesn’t come back for him… this boy. Also love love love Guy Diamond too, him being older (Which makes so much sense in terms of Tiny Diamond), how you can tell he respected Branch during their talk of escape.. Ah I’ve never really thought about him much, but you made me interested in him! I can def see him insisting on getting Branch back as it’s partially (Not really but still) his fault Branch ended up in that situation.

Anyways! Just wanted to gush, because the story is living rent free in my head. Final question, are you cool with fan art of your fanfiction being made as long as ur credited and tagged etc? I was doing some doodles and I just wanted to double check with you :) KEEP UP THE STUNNING WORK!

ahhh first things first I’m so sorry for the late reply I may have maybe possibly forgotten I made a tumblr and I’m awful at replying so I’m sorry!! on branch’s hair I plan to get more in-depth with it later in the story, but I really adore the idea that troll hair is a very sensitive thing (for it to be so strong it’s gotta have some nerves in there) and the idea of it being cut suddenly and without consent being a horrible thing. Branch’s hair is definitely shorter and will stay that way a long while and I’ll get more on that soon!!! also so glad to spread my anti-creek agenda to the masses, he’s such a slimy passive aggressive dick and I despise his ‘redemption’ in the series. Tis bullshit. I had a lot of fun channeling his bastardness, he’s a menace to them all and I hate him.

also very happy to spread my Guy Diamond agenda, he snuck into this fic and took it from my hands and held it hostage and covered it in glitter and wouldn’t let it go. He always seemed older to me idk why, and the whole tiny diamond thing just matched with it well!

It's already been a long day for you at your very small populated school at Jujutsu Tech. Between having every single class with Gojo and Geto then having a shit ton of math assignments due by next Monday, you thought the world was made just for making you carry it on your back. The weight of the world seemed to lift when you happened to glance over to the left and see a small piece of paper sitting right next to you just before the window sill. Taking it, you un-balled the paper and read the words and figured out it was Yuki Tsukumo's handwriting.

'This class is soooo boring and mr. yaga never stops talking. do u wanna talk about anything?' You mentally read to yourself. There was a small hole between windowsills where Yuki could push small pieces of paper through it and if she blew through the hole, the paper would shoot right on through. You turned around in your seat to find her flashing a smile at you. "No! Quit passing notes while Mr. Yaga's talking!" You whisper yelled before turning back around with a frown. She scoffed then tore another piece of paper and wrote on it before pushing it and blowing it through the hole.

You looked back over and saw the new piece of paper before rolling your eyes than taking your pencil and writing on it after unfolding it.

'Fine. What do u wanna talk about?' Yuki read to herself before a victorious grin stretched on her face. You tapped your pencil against the desk for a few moments before hearing the paper push through the hole.

'what's ur type in women or men? ;)' You read to yourself before scoffing and turning around to face her. She was staring back at you with a smirk before her smirk turned into a toothy grin and she flashed a wink at you. "Seriously?!" You whisper yelled, turning back to face the front then rolling your eyes and writing down your answer on the small piece.

'My type in people, is someone who's not a dirtbag, makes me laugh, and actually has human decency.' Yuki read to herself before chuckling and leaning back in her seat.

She tore off another small piece of paper and wrote on it before pushing it through the hole with her mechanical pencil.

'Since u didn't specify ur sexuality, i have to ask, ass or tits?' Your eyes scanned her words before chuckling and dropping your head on your desk. Mr. Yaga turned to you, along with the few others in the classroom.

"Y/n? You ok?" Shoko asked with a raised eyebrow. Yuki pulled her hand to her mouth to keep her from laughing. You held one thumb then picked your head back up.

'If I had to choose, I'd say tits.' Yuki read then smiled to herself.

You rolled your eyes and wrote on the back of the piece.

Yuki smiled before tearing another small piece then wrote on it and pushed it through the hole. Mr. Yaga was now paying close attention to you so you didn't take the time to glance over and look at it, you just moved your hand over and took it from the windowsill.

'Do u wanna hang out after school ?' You mouthed before rolling your eyes.

'No.' Yuki read before scoffing and leaning back in her seat.

Yuki glanced out the window, then tried to pay attention to Mr. Yaga while tapping her pencil against the desk. She bit her tongue to keep herself from saying something out of pocket.

The bell eventually rang for you guys to do whatever you wanted, and you quickly grabbed your stuff then dashed out the door to avoid Yuki. You couldn't wait to get to Shoko's room and secretly fangirl over how Yuki Tsukumo was actually talking to you in class.

Inspired by a Vogue shortfilm Wang Yibo starred in, link to it can be found in the a/n of the fic. 9 minutes, very aesthetically worth it. I'm really happy with the atmosphere of this work, and I feel like it's very representative of my shorter, fleetier, ever bittersweet style. Am proud still. 🥺

My Mianmian and LWJ friendship agenda. Epistolary fic covering the years of WWX's death through Mianmian's eyes on the letters she receives and writes. I'm still happy with how this one conveys what I wanted to say. I'm pleased with it stylistically. And they deserved that friendship, IT WAS THERE, OK.

A stand-alone AU within my wolfic series in which G'raha's crystallisation speeds up after the events of 5.0 and the completion of his mission. and with it comes loss of sensation. This one came to be when my dear friend @draiochteve prompted me to write "soft knifeplay". I love the bittersweet desperation and love I managed to convey in this one, and, I just want you to take note of the publication date: This was posted exactly a year before the release of patch 5.3. 😌

Oldest one here and I will admit I'm impressed that I still think it's worthy of this list, five years later. My dear gf @g0g0mi just desrcibed this one as "iconic", so. Unrecruited obsession love, swordplay, bondage, choking... there are things. IDK. My brand started here, OK. narcissa is 100% putting ginny in fancy dress robes there’s no other answer. she wants to see her dressed elegantly for once instead of wearing her jeans and old shirts

GINNY i feel like it's just a thing that the weasleys have big appetites idk if its canon or fanon at this point but either way i like it. also in my eyes ginny will always be an athlete so she builds up an appetite. anyway narcissa always has snacks maybe she even bakes for her (i would like to see narcissa in an apron covered in flour)
