I’m not really into arcane like that but I’ve watched s1 with my friend, who has been reporting to me the really abrupt tonal changes in the show and the many contradictory directions to the first season that the political scene in the show has taken.

I really can’t help but notice that those certain tonal changes seem to be very conveniently aligned with the values that a certain state has been trying to push in western media since October last year…. It honestly really sounds like the original season 2 plot was scrapped in favour of turning it into bland propaganda as a way to desensitise people to what’s actually happening in the world (through “humanising” the real life perpetrators’ actions by cloaking them in the skins of established beloved characters (AND ITS WORKING!! YALL ARE FALLING FOR IT!!! WHAT THE FUCK?) because the talking points both in the show and the fandom ESPECIALLY are really starting to sound familiar and it’s actually maybe kinda terrifying.

I’m very open for CIVIL discussion on this, I’m just giving my opinion as a third, comparatively unbiased party because I’m not emotionally attached to the show. I’m not outright saying s2 is outright propaganda for that state. What I AM saying is that you should not trust any creators who claim their work isn’t political because ALL ART IS POLITICAL (that statement in itself is political) and the way you interact with it is too, by association. Consume media with a critical lens please I’m begging.

I loooove the jp fandom's headcanon that geeta and larry are childhood friends who met during their time in the academy and, sometime in the future, geeta personally recruited larry to work for the paldean pokemon league, as she must be one of the first people who knew of his prowess in pokemon battling! If Remus was spying on the werewolves I imagine he took it very seriously - out of contact months at a time, never telling Sirius and James what he had been up to etc. We also know Remus is both capable and competent when he wants to be.

If then they had narrowed it down to a spy amongst the four of them, from Sirius perspective the spy is either Remus or Peter. We know Sirius thinks no one would ever suspect Peter of being the secret keeper. In the same way Sirus probably didn't think Peter was cunning enough to be the spy.

Remus wasn't suspected because he was a werewolf. He was suspected because Sirius respected him more and believed him capable of successfully spying. Especially when you combine that with Remus likely being out of contact a lot.

At least that was my reading of it?

hahaha yes i find that likely too. remus being sus bc hes competent i’d just funny. but it brings me right back to,,i don’t believe the others would think hr was the spy and not do anything about it 😭 at most, he’s just generally a little Off bc of those periods of non-contact. but i think i’m still leaning towards them not telling him for like. practicality. a combination of ‘we don’t think he’s 100% w us rn’ and ‘let’s keep this to the least possible no of people’ w a dash of ‘remus is anyway not here for it to make a big difference so no point in telling him’

I am absolutely expecting bucktommy to get the madney/early season 7 Eddie treatment in the first half of the season and not get much to do outside of a few scenes showing Tommy supporting Buck.

yeaah this is where i am too. buck will obviously have a storyline but i dont think tommy will be involved that much (neither in his drama with gerrard or the emergency plot). the vagueness of they're fine rn just tells me there's no storyline with them yet for this season

Hc that the real reason Dazai bombed Chuuya’s car was to give him an out of the pm. Yeah Chuuya probably could survive the blast but if he went missing after the explosion I don't think anyone would have questioned it either?

Maybe it was Dazai's way of giving him the choice to follow, but it went over Chuuya’s head bc he didn't realize that it was Dazai who set up the bomb.

Dazai already knows Chuuya trusts him, but he also knows how loyal Chuuya was to the pm, so I don't think he cared about the outcome, nor was he surprised that the other stayed but I do want to think that it was Dazai's obscure way of trying to "save" Chuuya from the life he pretty much forced him into.

i think it's inevitably canon, just bc they've partied together since they were too young to party. like, it's basically a given that something has happened between them somewhere along the way. but i think it's a bit silly to think they would've been in a "relationship" while logan was alive. i don't think that's something kendall would've ever even offered. screwing around is one thing, that's just a bit of disgusting fun, but settling down? playing house with a man? i don't even know if kendall would consider something like that now that logan's dead and kendall's lost his entire sense of purpose. he's "not homophobic or anything," there's just some things he can't do because of who he is.
