i remember hearing that the writers for the sonic boom tv show said that shadow was a very difficult character to write because sega is so picky about how he should be portrayed and thats why they saved him for season finale episodes only. so he could still be in the show but they wouldnt have to go back and forth with sega about what they can and cant do with him as much as they would have if he was a main character. anyway maybe thats part of the reason theres no alternate shadows in sonic prime. because sega was annoying about it and the writers didnt feel like dealing with it lmao

love when im talking abt characters and i cant even bring myself to say "romantic implications aside" bc it makes Zero sense without them. bc everything is pointing to romance, to falling in love, to realizing that what you've been looking for, what you've been fighting to find has been right next to you the entire fucking time. because it's the only thing that fits the narrative. you don't even have to dig deep to see it - it's all but spelled out for you.

Sometimes I do this thing where I'll see a man with a totally sick look and think "yeah. I'm gonna take your gender and dyke-a-fy it" and I've always had the kind of style that's best described as "your dad but he never left his punk phase, wears too much black, and throws in some floral prints for flavor".

And I like the idea of my style with longer hair. Not super long, I don't think I'd ever let it get past my shoulder blades, but with an undercut. I've had buzzed sides before but I'd like a more subtle undercut since I'm a Professional(tm) now.

But here's my problem: I like my hair rn. But bc its longer, I feel like people around me are seeing me less as a dyke and more like a girl. Does that make sense? Idk, it's weird and even tho I like it almost feels too feminine. Which is silly, bc my presentation doesn't make me more or less butch, but I also want people to Know when they see me.

So now I'm debating cutting my hair short again instead of sleeping lmao
