Hello!!!! It's been a while since rot in paradise came out but was there a canon reason everybody went in the ocean at the end? I know it was more metaphorical but I was still confused

Typically I don't like giving an outright "this is what the game was about" with projects I work on because I feel it can take away from the player experience and leaves less room for speculation and theorizing. Right after the game came out and for the month during the game jam I wanted people to be able to have their own take away of the game and didn't want to interject or place the idea that there was a "right" way to view it, especially since its a game with a looser plot and I didn't want it to cloud players individual interpretations of it.

A lot of people mentioned feeling like the story hit hard and felt personal to them which tells me that the themes and emotions we were going for were felt by some players but even more players were left confused or frustrated by the ambiguity. I understand that stories with more subjectivity that lean more into surreal visuals and open endings will land for less people but it still falls on the creator to tactfully deliver that message and I agree with a lot of the criticism that Rot in Paradise kinda fell flat of that.

From what Ive seen a lot of people felt like RIP had potential but it didn't follow through or feel cohesive enough. The main story was meant to touch on the themes and feeling of losing loved ones to dangerous ideologies and addiction. There wasn't a set in stone plot reason that everyone on the island falls victim to it, there wasn't a secret wrong thing that all of them did that June didn't- which was intentional to portray it as some people being susceptible to things you wouldn't think as reasonable but also potentially muddled the themes.

It was also meant to work as grounds for making the player feel confused and disoriented and wonder what they could have done differently to save them. There isn't anything that it seems the others interact with that June doesn't, she's able to partake in the same activities everyone else does without it altering her the way it alters them. It's a matter of forces outside her control effecting them more than it effects her and whether she wants to succumb to something she's capable of escaping to stay with her friends or leave them behind as they get worse and worse is up to her.

There were a lot of elements I think that worked against the favor of having that theme work. Even with a lot of the people who did notice and remark upon the message, it felt like the general vibe was "oh heyyy this part kinda sorta reminded me of this theme but idk if that was intentional" rather than a direct "this is what the theme of the game is". Overall while opinions on RIP were more mixed than previous entires I'm excited to tackle stories with more subtextual elements more in depth in the future outside of game jams. Rot in Paradise is probably one of less narratively successful games I've worked on in my opinion but still got me really excited about exploring that space and improving on stories like it in future projects and I'm still really proud of working on it

Take Me In Your Arms (Aaron Hotchner x Fem!Non-BAU!Reader)

You had just met Hotch’s team for the first time. The team had noticed a shift in Hotch’s demeanor and mood, one for the better. While he still struggled with juggling life as a dad and unit chief, he had met you and you had made everything easier.

After many weeks of the team theorizing and deep diving on Hotch’s dating life and finding that there was indeed a new mystery woman, he had given up and allowed them two questions each. Normally, he would shut down their antics and keep his life private but he wanted to show you off and talk about you. Now, 6 months into your relationship, the team had pushed him to introduce you all.

During dinner, you stayed at Aaron’s side as you got to know the team and as they interrogated you. Only after Hotch sternly yet playfully commanded they lay off, did you finally begin to eat. The team watched on as you and Aaron had quiet conversation, whispering small talk to each other, smiling wide and sharing your plates with each other.

After Rossi paid for the bill, Aaron helped you shrug your coat on and you all made your way a few blocks over for some drinks. The girls had pulled you from Aaron and allowed you in on their girl talk.

“It’s so great to see Hotch all loved up!” JJ smiles.

“I never knew he could be so… romantic.” Emily gushed as she sipped on something dark and warm.

“Our unit chief, with a hot younger woman. It’s amazing!” Penelope squeals.

“Speaking of hot, how is our unit chief?” Emily nudges you, wiggling her eyebrows.

“He’s wonderful. He’s so sweet and soft and gentlemanly.” You gush, cheeks warm and mouth flowing as you sip on your second drink of the night.

“No, she means how is he?” JJ clarifies, giggling. “Like in bed?”

All three girls giggle quietly as you take a glance at Aaron. His eyes meet yours as he listens to something Rossi says, a smile playing on his lips.

You quickly look down, biting your lip to hide your flustered smile.

“That good?” Emily gapes. “Is he as dominant in bed as he is at work?”

“Uh, we actually haven’t had sex yet.” You scan their faces as they as display varying expressions of confusion and surprise.

“Really? 6 months and you haven’t slept together?” JJ wonders aloud. You don’t think she means any malicious intent but it comes off as such.

“I figured you’d have jumped his bones by now. He is definitely a looker, I mean you should see the girls and even guys that flirt with him.” Emily jokes.

“I- We just haven’t gotten there yet.” You mumble, downing the rest of your drink and eyes searching the bar for a waiter. You definitely need another drink.

“Well, don’t keep the boss man waiting too long. He’s not getting any younger.” Penelope giggles behind her glass cup. “Keeping him happy means he’s nicer to us.”

The girls laugh before changing the subject to discuss recent dates Emily and Penelope have been on. You don’t join in much as you continue to sip on your recently arrived third drink.

Once Derek leaves with a girl from the bar, Spencer heads out having run out of social battery. Rossi and Hotch arrange rides for the girls before bidding each other a good night. You wave to Rossi and thank him for dinner.

Hotch pulls you into his side, an arm wrapped around your waist as you walk to the car. His brows furrow as you’re usually more talkative a few drinks in. He figures you’re tired from the events of the night as he stands at your open passenger door. He watches you fumble with the seatbelt and waits for your eyes to meet his. Instead of you assuring him you’re safely secured in and sealing it with a kiss, you tuck yourself into the seat, head facing the driver side.

He confusedly shuts your door and jogs to his side. You watch him through the foggy windshield and know he’s going to get whatever is eating at you out of you by the end of the night. You don’t want to make a big deal of this but you can’t help but wonder if he’s getting tired of you. Tired of waiting. He is a man after all. So was your ex and he cheated after he got “tired of waiting” because “a man has needs.”

It’s not that you don’t want to have sex with him, it’s just a complicated thing for you. Sex means something to you and you want to wait until you know the relationship is more than that. Of course, Aaron has never made you feel that he is with you for your body or just sexual pleasure.

Your thoughts run rampant as you make your way back to your apartment. Aaron keeps taking glances at you when he can. His hand would normally be on your thigh, close to your knee but he senses that you’re in your own world and may not want to be disturbed. He doesn’t want to disrupt you but he does want to know what’s going on. Did you not like his friends? Were they mean to you? No, they wouldn’t do that. Right?

Aaron had been worried about you meeting the team, not wanting them to scare you off somehow. But as the car stops and you take your belt off, opening the door, almost hopping out of his car without a kiss, he thinks they might have. He hasn’t even put the car in park when your feet hit the pavement.

His hand finds your left arm, gently gripping the fabric of your coat. “Hey, is everything okay?”

“Yeah, yes of course.” You quickly say, not turning to answer him. “I’m just burnt out. Call me when you get home, okay?”

He says your name, pleading for you to look at him. “Stay there, let me walk you up.”

“No, you must be tired too. I’ll text you when I’m inside.”

He says your name more sternly, his tone similar to when he talks to his agents. “Look at me.”

You slowly turn towards him, eyes cast on the space beside the passenger chair. Theres a very interesting pen cap and an unopened cough drop barely in view. Your eyes study the two items.

“Come back in the car, please. What’s going on?” He leans over the console, reaching for your hands as they fiddle on the seat.

“Your friends are lovely.” You let him pick your hands up from the seat.

“They think the same about you.” He smiles softly. “Did something happen?”

“Aaron, let’s not spoil a good night. I’ll see you tomorrow for breakfast. We’re going to that cafe with the biscuits and gravy you like, right?” You kiss his knuckles. You’re deflecting and faking enthusiasm for his sake.

He turns the car off and you finally, finally look up at him. “Y/n, tell me what’s wrong.”

“Nothing Aaron. Please don’t push me.” He can see the tears lining your eyes. “I’ve had too much to drink for you to poke and prod at me for an answer.”

“I’m not trying to push you but we both know I can tell when something has bothered you.” His brows furrow. “It’s my job.”

You let out a little laugh, not being able to stop yourself under the influence. “If I tell you, can you promise not to make a big deal of it when you see the girls?”

“I can’t do that until you tell me what is it.”

“Aaron.” You stomp your foot childishly.

“Y/n.” He raises a brow.

You both have a visual standoff before he caves and speaks. “Can I come up?”

You gulp, thoughts immediately assuming the worst but he’s Aaron Hotchner. The most respectful man you’ve honestly ever met.

“I just want to know what you’re thinking about. I can’t make things better if I don’t know what’s going on and I really like to be in the know.” He nearly sings. “Please…” Aaron isn’t a man who begs but with you he’s not opposed to bending the rules.

“Okay, yeah.” You also bend the rules for him. You step back and shut the door as you wait for him to get out. It’s not long before he meets you on the sidewalk. His hand finds yours as you enter your apartment building. He trails behind you as you eagerly reach the elevator.

He pulls you into him, arm around your shoulder and lips to your hairline. It’s his kindness that sets you off. You curl into him and the dam breaks. He’s taken aback as his arms circle your body.

It feels like hours before you both reach your floor. He guides you down the hallway and to your door. He uses his key, the one you gave him after he had a local case and you scared him by not answering his calls and texts. You had been asleep with your ringer off and he had been worried sick. Now, he can check on you or visit you whenever he pleases.

He urges you inside, taking your jacket off and hanging it on the rack before taking his off and doing the same. “Can you go sit for me? I’m going to get you some water.”

You nod and sloppily wipe your cheeks. “I’m sorry.”

“None of that.” He shakes his head and pulls you into him. His hand wraps around your head as his lips meet your forehead. “Now go. I’ll be there in a minute.”

You nod again as he heads to the kitchen. He’s only been here a handful times since you started dating, you preferring to spend time at his. He also believes it’s because you feel insecure about your space compared to his but you’ve both never addressed this. He loves coming to yours, seeing bits and pieces of you around the space. He’s still getting used to where things are and where they go.

It takes him only two tries before he finds the cabinet with your cups. He fills it up, grabs some paper towels and finds you curled on the couch with a blanket across your lap.

“Here, honey.” He hands it to you before loosening his tie. “Take however much time you need. When you’re ready, I’m here to listen.”

He pulls the tie from his neck and tosses it on the coffee table with the napkins. “Be right back.”

He leaves before you can ask where he’s going. You watch him descend into your bedroom and come out with a pair of pajama pants and two shirts. He holds them up, one long sleeve and one short. You point to the long sleeve and he places it with the pants beside you.

“You get changed, I’m going to wash up in the bathroom.”

“You’re too good to me.” You finally speak up, hiccups escaping between words.

“Not true. You deserve more.” He begins to unbutton his dress shirt.

“You do.” You emphasize. “You deserve someone who will give you everything you want. Need.”

“I have you. And you give me all that and more.” He bends down, hoping you don’t see him wince as his knees hit the carpeted floor. “You’re the best thing, other than Jack, that’s happened to me.”

“You’re not tired of me yet?”

“Tired? Of you?” He runs his hands along your calves. Fixes the blanket on your lap to give himself better access. “Never.”

“I’m sorry.” You set the drink down, leaning closer to him. “I’m sorry for making you wait.”

He tilts his head. Wait? He thinks. He’s not sure what you mean.

“Don’t make me say it Mister Profiler.” You roll your eyes. “I know you’re wondering why we haven’t fucked.”

His eyes widen, “That’s very brash, y/n.”

“Fuck. Have sex. Sleep together. Whatever you call it, however you phrase it. It’s all the same.” You sass.

“Hey, what’s with the tone?” He meets your eyes. “Is this what this is about? What did the girls say to upset you?”

“Doesn’t matter. It’s not about what they said really. It’s about you getting tired of me and finding someone els-“

“Enough.” His voice echos in the quiet apartment. His voice makes both of you jump. “Enough.” He says more quietly, his tone softening. “Is that the kind of man you think I am?”

You shake your head immediately because you know him. He’s not like any man you’ve even been with but the insecurities rise and take over any rational thoughts.

“Y/n, I love you.” He gushes. “Sex?” He scoffs, “it’s not what’s important to me. What’s in here,” he points to your chest. “That’s what’s important to me. You are important to me. I’m obsessed with you.”

Your cheeks streak with tears. “Aaron…”

“I’m serious.” He twists awkwardly to grab the tissue he left minutes ago. He folds it in half and dips it into the glass of water.

“You always are.” You laugh, bubbly with sadness.

“I don’t care if we never have sex. If we do, great! If we don’t, great! I just want you.” He pinches your chin to get you to look at him, wiping your cheeks with the wet towel. “Do you understand me?”

You nod and when he doesn’t seem satisfied, “yes. I understand.”

“Good, I’m glad.” His knees ache as he finally stands, crumpling the dirty napkin and tossing it onto the table. “I love you, y/n.” He cups your face, lips centimeters from yours.

“I love you, Aaron. More than you’ll ever know.” You lean forward and meet his lips. He really is too good to you.

Something I remind myself when it comes to the release of AvA 11 and the current timeline of AvA is that this takes place a few years back from current timeline (Green Influencer Arc) so…EVERYTHING TURNS OUT! but even then you can subtlety notice a bit of a slight change in Orange.

I’m specifically referring to the lava prank scene regarding their anger but the way Orange treated Green at the end of Ep. 3 can also be noted since I’ve seen it noted before how Orange seems a lot more laid back in a way? It’s hard to say. But we do know Orange has done more to kinda manage his anger (comparing how he reacts to the prank in comparison to the lush caves ep). Sooo who knows….

so I find the way they pace things out so interesting bc like…it really makes you wonder what happens in between that causes that sorta change. Was it intentional? It’s hard to say. I’m still thinking about that one Green comment from the Trick Shots video regarding a comment referring to Orange as The Second Coming. Well of course it’s very likely they do know of that name since it’s been shown to the CG before (looking at the AvLoL video) but do they become aware of Orange’s powers? Does Orange know about his own powers? (Well he does now, but I guess more in a sense of actually witnessing himself *use* these powers). I think it’s interesting (not really in a theorizing way, just more in a ‘huh! Cool!’) sorta way the CG still refer to Orange as…Orange.

I don’t think we are going to get all of our answers about Orange in AvA 11 since it seems it’s going to be much more victim focused considering the name of the ep and the teasers we have all seen (all of them pointing to victim backstory and such). I’m guessing we are going to get more Orange lore in AvA 12 or 13 (maybe some hints or even an awakening in AvA 11 tho….) (NOT NEG BTW LMAO)

But speaking on victim’s backstory…god… I’m not ready… I wonder how much will be seen, I wonder if we are gonna find out about what victim is going to do with Yellow…Chosen and Orange. What are Red, Blue, and Green…going to do now? I wonder how many answers we are going to get for victim…also as I’ve seen others point out how the title is very interesting too…’Victim’ I don’t think this just refers to the character victim, but the concept of a victim. victim is making others into victims because of his plans…Yellow, Chosen, Orange… and even Alan in a way in the future, wanting Alan to feel the pain he felt and feel the pain of his namesake…and who knows about Mitsi’s involvement seeing she most likely has some sort of role to play in this.

Also Dark being alive possibly? (I don’t know how much I believe Dark is alive/will be revived just yet but…I’m open to any possibility LMFAOOO)

AvA 11 is just such a mystery on how they are going to portray it and write it. Because it’s not a series finale, it’s actually more close to the middle/beginning (I think S3 goes to Ep15 or something idk I saw it somewhere I just don’t remember).

But in conclusion,

The time I woke up in the void, before I even knew what the void was

As mentioned in this post, here is the story about how I woke up in the void before I knew what it was.

I came across @ellequarius success story on entering the void while falling asleep in class and I got major chills and a flashback to when something similar happened to me in HS. I didn’t even know about manifesting or the void at the time but now I realize I woke up in the void 🤯 It was such a strange and memorable experience, I still remember it vividly (I’m an adult, I graduated HS long ago lol).

It was my senior year, I was in science class and we had a substitute who gave us a free study period and dimmed the lights to put on a movie. I was exhausted so I just crossed my arms on my desk, put my head down and fell asleep.

Idk how long I was out, but before waking up I found myself in a weird kinda state. I thought I was dreaming, although nothing was happening. Everything was dark but it wasn’t like being in a dark room - it felt like looking at a TV or computer screen that was turned on but not showing a picture, there was some static and a sense of depth. A bit like outer space.

I had been thinking about my friend in Japan who I hadn’t talked to in a few weeks. I guess because she was on my mind, I imagined seeing a notification pop up on the “screen”, saying I had a new email from her. Then I woke up and went to my next class.

When I got to a computer, I found that I had indeed received an email from my friend, around the exact time I had “dreamed” it. I always thought it was a psychic dream, or just a freaky coincidence. But now I’m sure I manifested it in the void.

I was totally mindblown as since I found out about the void last year, I’ve been endlessly researching, wondering if it’s really real and trying different methods wanting to experience it for the first time - when I had already experienced it so long ago? 😭 It’s like I found an Easter egg in my brain!

I’m theorizing that sleeping position can have an effect on the ease in which you enter the void. Since it’s happened to several people while sleeping in class, taking naps, and there is also the popular recliner method, it seems that unusual sleeping positions put you in a lighter sleep, which can help access alternate states easier.

I’ve also realized since I figured this out a couple weeks ago, pretty much every time I have a natural awakening in the early morning, I do wake up in the void. It even happened this morning (2/27 as I type this) early in the morning after several hours of sleep, and I was lying on my back which is not my most comfortable sleeping position.

It’s the same kind of experience, and I don’t hear anything, but my first natural instinct when I wake up is to wonder where the sounds of my environment are. So I end up tuning in to my room to try to hear things, and snapping out of the void.

Only a matter of time before I figure out how to remain there aware long enough to affirm for my desires 😭

EPISODE 7 THOUGHTS AAAAAAH

-Sol remains one of the best characters in Star Wars. This episode compounds my feelings that he was born to be a dad, made to be a Jedi because the entire situation, his recklessness, his acting on desire...dude is just as repressed by the Jedi Order as Osha became. The master-padawan relationship is the only sort allowed within the Order, of course Sol wanted his own! He wanted his own kiddo to teach and raise and do stuff with and that got mixed up in the feelings of 'to be a jedi is to be good and whatever you do is always right'. He thought he was doing the right thing, and god it's so fucking sad. He did this terrible thing and he'll never make peace with it and it's all because he wanted connection. JUST LIKE HIS KID OSHA. IT'S ALL HEARTBREAKING. Lee Jung-Jae the man that you are.

-The power struggle within the coven was a great story point. Aniseya wanted to do right by her daughter but Koril was ruled by fear and possessiveness. Amazing stuff.

-I will never not live for critique of the Jedi Order. The institution is the problem, not the individual Jedi.

-I'm FASCINATED by the twins being actually one consciousness! And what that means for a dyad, and why Osha seems to be the draw and not Mae! And why the dark side is, in various forms, obsessed with the dyad, and the worst of the dark siders seem to eventually corrupt it into the Rule of Two. Would be super interesting if creating/forcing a Dyad is the kinda thing the Force doesn't like; like you can never create a true one artificially or something? idk I'm excited to see how they flesh out this particular lore.

-Unformed thoughts about Osha being the part of a person that wants individuation and identity away from family of origin and Mae being the part that longs to stay a kid and with the familiar, metaphorically.

-No fucking wonder all the Jedi split ways and went into their own form of exiles YEEESH

-Theorizing about this show has been fun and this episode threw most of my pet theories out and honestly idc, not knowing what's gonna happen next in a Star War again is really cool.

DCAs Connections in Help Wanted 2 Update! (FNAF Theory)

Hello! :) I'm gonna be rambling about the DCA and its connection to the past (before the franchise took form) based on what was shown on the mural that we saw on the old factory.

Again, this is gonna be a ramble (it's gonna be going all over the place, so I may or may not sense (lol)) and most importantly, this is purely speculation (so please take this with a grain of salt!) ^^

Note: This is the first time I'm writing a theory, so bear with me (lol) & feel free to type your thoughts in the comments or rbs below (for civil (and fun!) discussions as we theorize together! :)

So, inside the mural (looking at the upper half) there was the blue rabbit (we can safely assume that it's some form of bonnie) and the golden bear (golden freddy or fredbear, at this point, we don't know which is it or if its something else entirely) but, just above the two, we can see a Sun and Moon motifs on either sides of them.

The Sun motif is positioned on the right, while the Moon motif is positioned on the left. Which makes me (and all of us) wonder, how are the two connected to this blue rabbit and the golden bear ?

To bring up what other theorist have said, many have speculated about a traveling circus back in the day, and from the looks of the bottom half of the mural in hw2's update, it clearly shows that many theorists were in the right direction.

As for Sun and Moon though, many of the dca fans already knew they these were theater boys (or old stage performers) from the way they're dress (seeing as they're jesters, so they've been used for the theater) so, we could likely see them performing with the rabbit and the bear, or separately (maybe on their own stage). Perhaps one (the bear, alongside Sun) would perform during the day, the other (the rabbit alongside Moon) at night (or it could flipflop throughout depending on show/audience). Again, either or, they're somehow connected to both the rabbit and bear within the mural.

However, if you think about them in a symbolic way, Sun and Moon could potentially represent Afton and Henry respectively. Since the two would be working together during that time (in sotm).

So, hear me out. Moon in a way could represent Afton. And what's he commonly associated with? Rabbits. And throughout sb, Moon is under the influence of Vanny, so I found it kinda funny that with this update, Moon is the one who's associated with rabbits (heck, he was in Bonnie Bowl as well, which made me wonder why he was seen there out of all places when you (the player) face him in hw2).

Also in hw2, in the claw machine ending, there are two slight altered endings the player gets. The first one being with Moon and his usual white eye, black pupil, and the second being, once the player obtains the bonnie mask, that Moon's pupils turn red.

Why? Does he now know the player (or the one who we play as)? How does he know the player? What connection does he have to the player, from the moment the player gets the mask?

So, I'm guessing Steel Wool may have trying to establish this connection for a while now (about Moon and rabbits now that we see the hw2 update) but may have been overlooked. Idk, who knows?

As for Sun, he could represent Henry, if Henry is the one commonly associated with bears (I think, correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I've been in the fnaf fandom). So, with Henry and Afton working together, it kind of parallels to Sun and Moon in a way. Light and dark, good and bad.

I don't know if Eclipse will show up in sotm (hopefully they do) but I'll put it anyway. Eclipse in a symbolic sense could represent Edwin, tying the two (Afton and Henry) together to build up their business, just how Eclipse keeps Sun and Moon together in order to function as a unit.

Anyway tl;dr - Sun and Moon (& Eclipse by extension) are very much ingrained with fnaf's past, we just have to put the pieces together to figure it out (like most theorists been doing i guess lol).

Just watched Hotshots and I have to say...

... didn't Oliver say a few weeks ago that his favourite TV relationships have a degree of pining??? The Buddie journalist obviously interpreted it one way, but a few weeks ago "Buck bakes whenever he thinks about Tommy, which is constantly" would've been in its production phases... and idk what other word I would describe that is besides pining.

I don't love conspiracy theorizing based on actor interviews (never seen a fandom so involved and theorizing about about what actors say in interviews as 9-1-1) but google keeps pushing these articles for me to click and I keep clicking mostly out of morbid curiosity, and I could've sworn Oliver said he likes pining, and now I'm just kinda wondering.

Have you seen all the people theorizing that JJK will have a sequel? Any thoughts on it? Like, on one hand it could be interesting depending on how Gege plays it all out... But on the other end why not just continuing JJK if he hasn't finished the story yet? Right? Like, I'm conflicted on the theory bc I really like JJK despite everything and I'm sad it's gonna finish, but also I'm kinda scared of a possible sequel but also also without a sequel and only one chapter left it feels a bit too rushed, you know? I've seen them, but I'm not sold.

To me, the way the last few chapters have unraveled doesn't feel like Gege is setting us up for more. Instead, it's like they're tying up plot threads in a very rushed manner, with the effect being underwhelming at best and infuriating at worst. Nothing about it feels like the creation of a person who wants to continue this story.

The whole New Shadow School lore is introduced and immediately resolved in a handful of panels. The characters, even extremely minor ones like Amai or Charles, are all getting their own unique resolutions.

Two of the potential long-running threads—Tengen's barriers and the Culling Games in general—are essentially neutralized in 270. They're not neat solutions, but if a sequel was the intent, it'd have been much simpler to end the current manga with the immediate aftermath of Sukuna's defeat and then have a "save society" style sequel. There was more than enough material for it.

Personally, a sequel would just piss me off on principle alone. I'm not saying I wouldn't keep up with it (assuming Yuuji's around), but look at how clumsily the final arc was executed. The Shinjuku showdown dragged at places and then rushed into an ending that seemed to be missing a good 10 chapters in between. Whole plot threads, characters, and interpersonal relationships have been treated with a fraction of the care and gravity they deserve.

After all that, if there's a sequel, I'm just going to be wondering why we got such a rushed ending for the story to just keep going anyway.

Like, I wouldn't put it past Gege, but only in the sense that I honestly have no idea what JJK is doing or why it's doing it these days. Anything could happen. Gojou and Sukuna could reincarnate into fucking cats.

Since Peeta is Bi (in fanon for most people) how do you think people react to it, like I assume especially since Panem isn't really a accepting place that there would definitely be some false rumours, but what I personally think would be a popular rumour would be calling Peeta promiscuous (I think thats the word? Idk I'm dumb) mainly because I see that as a popular thought that Bi people can't be monogamous or faithful, just because they like both means they can't stay with one person, which is a weird idea. Tbh idk where I'm going with this ask I kinda just wanted to share my idea of Peeta being labelled as unfaithful for his bisexuality and him just gasping like how dare they assume that

Hokay, so, everything I'm about to say is just my opinions/theories since there isn't really enough information in the text to have a definitive answer. I'd definitely LOVE to hear other people's thoughts on this, tho! As for how queer identity is likely accepted in Panem - I think it depends on what side of the divide you live on.

THE CAPITOL

i think that The Capitol is likely pretty queer friendly. So much of the "fashion" and "artistry" of the Capitol is so reminiscent of 1950s ball culture that it's difficult not to see some sort of cultural inspiration.

I think that likely an aspect of the "panem et circenses" we see at play in the Capitol would hinge on excessive freedoms of expression. You have the freedom (obligation) to be anything and everything you want. You have to spend to excess, have sex to excess, follow fashion trends to excess - otherwise are you any more elite than any of the barbarians in the districts? (This level of pressure and expectation is what I think leads us to the credit/debtors prisons/avox pipeline that is hinted at in the books) If the above is true then I could very much see the Capitol encouraging the exploration of sex and sexuality - maybe even more as a "trend" or a fetishization of sexuality than natural identity

THE DISTRICTS

I believe that the districts are subjected to the levels of forced breeding that we see in the underserved communities in the United States today. It is to the Capitol's benefit to keep the masses poor, hungry, and constantly supplying new generations of children to act as a continuation of the entertainment fodder and the work force. Ergo, little to no medical facilities, little to no access to birth control, little to no sex ed, and little to no social services or resources. This leads me to believe that the Capitol would likely force restrictions on same sex couples. I don't think it would be outright banning or criminalization - but I do see them passing ordinances that same sex married couples do not receive government assigned housing. (Especially under the pretense of the houses being meant for "family and child stability" or some nonsense. Something that would, on it's face, look good to the average Capitolite. "Look how wonderful we are to them! We provide homes so people can build families!" I could also see them say that same sex couples aren't allowed to adopt children as that can be a potential "abuse of the tessera system". This would be spun as "preventing children from being taken advantage of for extra food portions." So, basically, it would be an undue hardship to be a queer person within the districts of Panem. Going further down the hole, i think it would be a HUGE no-no within the Merchant (or equivalent in other districts) classes. Life in the districts as a Merchant is heavily reliant on succession. These business have existed for generations and are passed down within the family. The merchants also maintain ownership by, as much as possible, marrying within other businesses versus marrying into the Seam.

A young, queer adult in the Merchant class would likely be as heavily ostracized as Katniss' mother was for marrying into the Seam.

DISTRICT 13

I theorize that, especially after the illness that wiped out a majority of the population - especially the children - of District 13, that this District is likely the HARSHEST on same sex attraction.

I definitely see this district as having heavy restrictions on sex in order to control and prioritize insemination and fertilization. Hence why someone like Dalton was given the field of work that he was given, coming from the cattle farms of District 10. As for the second part of your ask, Peeta Mellark Everdeen would LAUGH at anyone who would dare suggest he would cheat on his wife. He's been married since he was 5, thank you very much.

Oof Maddie's comment about her mom finally stepping up and being a mother just not to her and how all her friends Xavier Simon Claire Nichole could all tell that Maddie wasn't Maddie but Janet and usually right away Simon is also the only one that can see ghost Maddie and Claire hasn't spoken much to her since their falling out and even so they all KNEW yet her mother hasn't she's commented how different she is cause she thinks her daughter has been through trauma and it's changed her but like idk I'm hoping she's just lying to herself and wanting to believe it's her daughter and her daughter now wants to be mothered by her and isn't angry anymore but I feel like her mom just doesn't know her own daughter at all past her daughter taking care of her all these long years and that's even sadder I feel so damn sorry for Maddie thinking Janet will be a better her than she could ever be and I don't think it's just bc Janet is more 'intelligent' I think part of it is seeing her relationships after she was missing and especially seeing her mom go from an addict who is drunk all the time and so selfish towards Maddie to caring mother to someone who looks like Maddie but isn't and I loved Wally telling her that he wishes they could stay but he wants her to return to her life and live and that you don't have to do big great things that change the world to be deserving of life but rather just live as yourself and you'll help people along the way Maddie has changed so many of the lives she's touched living and dead and I'm glad he was there to point that out for her cause she's going through it i really love Maddie and Wally together back on topic though I'd love to see Maddie's mom continue with her recovery and try and repair her relationship and finally have to face that Janet/Maddie isn't her daughter I'm very curious to see if she ever will and I think it'd be messed up if she noticed Mr Anderson wasn't Anderson but someone else (martin) before she would realize it about her daughter bc she probably knows him better I think Maddie took care of her mom but spent as little time as possible with her and I am so curious as to what Simon's home life is so far he's one we know nothing about like his parents took away his car as punishment after finding out his best friend was missing probably dead and then we hear nothing from them or see them in Simon's life at all he has a break down and breaks his phone in the process and never gets it replaced and now that Janet/Maddie killed his phone I'm curious to see if it will get replaced or if it will be a thing with his parents like the car idk Simon seemed not ok even before Maddie's death/disappearance and I kinda wonder if they bonded over their home life sucking for whatever reason like so far Claire Xavier Maddie and even Nichole seem to have issues going on at home just Simon's my fave so I hope we get to know more about him and needless to say I'm just theorizing and very excited to read others thoughts and theories and very excited for the next episode <3

B5 S04e11 Lines of Communication previous episode - table of contents

ISN has shit to say about B5 again. The current propaganda is that the humans on B5 are being oppressed and mistreated by aliens species, and that Earth needs to liberate them.

Sheridan's hair is suddenly three colors.

Things are heating up on Mars. A terrorist attack that killed 10 civilians is being blamed on the Resistance.

There's also violence in the Minbari diplomatic sphere. I'm a little bit at a loss for theorizing about what direction this is going to go.

Sheridan and Delenn have a confab. Sheridan knows of even more attacks. Something looks different about Delenn's makeup. Her human skin coloring is blended farther back onto her residual Minbari crest. What is that called? something definitely looks different about it.

Oh, yikes, so the Resistance on Mars really was responsible for the terrorist attack and deaths. The leader is pissed.

Sheridan can't stop watching ISN, where they are smearing Sheridan as being affected by "Minbari War Syndrome," lol. It continues to be interesting that Earth propaganda is going out of its way to cast Sheridan as sadly misguided and not really like a threat.

Poor Ivanova! Sheridan's seeming a bit manic. Being pulled out of a dead sleep to listen to her boss's new idea. And it's to start a counter-disinformation campaign. That Ivanova is now in charge of, congrats Susan.

That seems like an ungodly amount of work. Plus, they've talked about channels being jammed, so idk how she's meant to get around that, either.

Stephen and Marcus gettin' the Mars resistance on board. This story line has felt a bit clunky to me so far.

Ooh, Delenn's rescue turns into a potential First Contact, that turns into shady new guy pulling a weapon on her! I knew he wass shady.

Resistance leader approves of them and says the resistance supports them. Marcus egging on Stephen to flirt with her. They always give Stephen sad or weird dating episodes, so I hope this one is more chill. And Marcus apparently was totally right! She comes back and asks out Stephen, and asks Marcus to help out with garbage duty.

This shady minbari guy is so over the top. The White Star hadn't even been aggressive to the Drakh when he grabbed Delenn. But the Drakh's special effects are kinda cool and it worked to get one on board, so I'll allow it.

Shady guy's people got killed of exposure because of the Warrior caste. So he allied with the Drakh, who got displaced when their home was destroyed during the world. He says they are peaceful, even though they just met them attacking Minbari allies who are peaceful. They are pretty clearly Shadows-related and Delenn calls it. A thrilling space fleet chase ensues! Poor shady Minbari is killed an attack. And everyone else on a whole ship from the White Star fleet!

Wow, The White Star Fleet barely escaped th eDrakh fleet, but Delenn's one ship by themself is kicking their asses. But before they got to the ass kicking section, tragedy. A whole ship and crew lost.

Earlier Marcus was arguing for less upheaval, for not overthrowing Earth Government. Delenn is now arguing that she needs to go home and stabilise the caste system. C'mon y'all. If you're going to be revolutionaries go big, not go conformist.

It's interesting that they're dividing up and going so many different places. I wonder if this means we'll see more of Minbar with Delenn, like we've been getting a point of view on Mars. That'd be quite interesting!

So, idk if this is a thing you'd be interested in. But my brain just clicked on a Possible reason that resource prices are higher in year two than in year one. As a bit of world building.

Basically, we know the country is at war with another, and we get more information about this via Sam and Kent. Sam says the war doesn't seem to be going well at one point.

War typically drives up the rarity and value of resources as the government has the bulk of the supply and the most demand for it. So that which would be available to the civilian consumer is reduced in amount and rather more expensive than it would be outside wartime.

Idk just think it'd be interesting to acknowledge that there being a war going on does have an effect on the economy and available resources.

As an aside did you know bread slicing machines were illegal in the US for a bit cause the government needed those materials/resources more due to the ongoing war at the time? Be funny if there was stuff like that happening as well.

You know I haven't thought too much about it, mostly because I stubbornly try to gather all my own materials and then I'm like. Damn why don't I have any stone or coal 😩 I was aware of the prices going up in year two though and I do like this logic behind it!!! 👀

My friend pointed out how the traveling cart merchant occasionally has lines like "I smuggled this out of the Gotoro Empire" which made us wonder what the global situation was like.

I can't remember if I saw it on tumblr or if it was in like a youtube video or something but I saw something recently about like, theorizing that Pelican Town is so rundown because of the war and the boon that comes with the farmer is because their efforts are one of the only things bringing money into the town.

One little thing I did headcanon sorta related to this was that Kent had been in the reserves and so him getting called to war was kind of unexpected? Sam has some dialog where he mentions his dad used to be a garbage man, so I was thinking maybe he did that while also being in the reserves on the side (for the healthcare or something maybe. Is the country that Stardew Valley is set in as hellish as America in that way? Who Knows) which would kinda explain why Jodi seems so overwhelmed by it all. Like she wasn't anticipating him to go to war, or for so long. Her constant mention of the cheap prices at JojaMart kind of implies to me that their family is struggling-- for that matter, the characters that mention how much cheaper Joja is might also be kind of hinting at some economic crisis, since Pierre can't match those prices and maintain his business.

I'm kinda rambling but yeah I do really like this idea! 👀 In general I like thinking about more grounded reasons for things being the way they are in this setting! I know the game has some fantastical elements or some things that don't quite add up, but I really like to think about things in a more grounded sort of way.

Also, I didn't know about the bread slicing machine thing but I totally believe it. I think there's a similar story behind bras becoming mainstream for women's fashion too? Something like, the steel boning for corsets needed to go toward the war effort instead in world war i? I swear I'm not making that up

You know, I find it funny and interesting that I ended up on the very niche part of tumblr with t4t horny transhumanism mechs. It’s especially funny because I am not anywhere near the actual target audience for that type of content. I enjoy it from an observer’s perspective, watching people go into detail about something very alien to me is entertaining, but I don’t get turned on by any of this at all.

I enjoy mechs and robots a bunch, and I find the idea of robots and mechs to be dope as shit. I am an advocate for the rights of AI and robots even if they are still only fictional, and would gladly help make mechs and robots a reality if I could. I, however, enjoy them from a purely mechanical standpoint.

When I see a robot, I don’t think “God I wish I could fuck her (rearrange her hardware inside her chassis, install harmless bloatware in her to make her overheat)” or “God I wish that I was a robot girl too”, I think “Oh man, her construction is fucking awesome, I wonder what her schematics are like, I bet she could do all kinds of shit. Imagine the modding potential too.”

When I see mechs, I don’t think about the orgasmic experience of jacking into it and becoming something better, pilot and mech fusing into one whole being and experiencing the pleasure of battle. I think of how I could construct one of those for myself, I imagine the parts necessary, I think of how I could improve on the design and further innovate.

I kinda know my place in this fictional world of transhumanist robot lesbians and mecha/pilot symbiosis. I’m essentially an asexual mechanic. I dont tinker with robots for carnal pleasure, I do it because I am simply preforming routine maintenance, please stop moaning you’re making this weird. I don’t see a mech and dream of my consciousness melding with its into a sacred union, I theorize how I could fit as much weaponry as possible onto it’s frame before it overheats from the stress.

I actually hate transhumanism. I am deeply uncomfortable with the idea of replacing parts of myself with machinery. If the world worked like that I’d probably be pretty odd. I service mechs and androids with passion but am adamantly against body modding or mech piloting. I’d be the weird girl that avoids stepping into the cockpit at all costs, the one that stares concernedly at the pilots who seem so out of it when not jacked in, the one who always seems a little squeamish around people with augments. I think it’s ok for others to do it, go crazy, I don’t mind. I just worry that the normalization will lead to it being harder to live without augmenting, like cars making cities unwalkable.

Idk, that was a lot of rambling. TL:DR I find mech and robo stuff interesting from a mechanical standpoint, and I like this kink for the plot. Yall keep wanting to fuck those bots, good for you!

Episode 26 - A Hairy Mystery

This episode is a doozy, both canonically and due to the analysis I conduct.

From the first seconds of the episode, we can note one very important detail:

The episode's narration is not censored by Kerubim, as is usually the case, but filtered through Joris's very limited understanding of sexuality and other adult things, and metaphors alluding to those.

Which results in this being a very dark episode in every single way possible and kinda batshit insane, when thought about for too much.

This is the same house as the one we'll see in Episode 50, Deadly Charm.

During Episode 50's time, the two of them share this house. This may suggest that the two episodes happen relatively closely, timeline-wise. It would make sense, considering the fact that in both of these episodes, Lou investigates crimes.

This investigation sounds like how long a war that would result in the birth of a very cool huppermage would last.

This episode will be hellish to translate... First of all: all the little text on these images? Just gibberish. Also, it's the same gibberish copypasted in all the newspapers.

I'm sure someone in Ankama was very giddy to have snuck this in, but god, I wish I knew what this really means.

I guess for Ecaflips, doing this to a cat, is not just an animal thing but also uh. a kid thing.

To pause from the insanity of this episode so far, I want to point out, that, both here, and in the episode 50, which we had established, takes place close to this one, Kerubim and Lou are very close to marriage/consider each other fiancés (in episode 50, she is referred to as his wife, despite them not being married).

So... I am assuming both of them take place before Ecaflip City! We're making some real discoveries here, folks.

This episode was funnier before I knew this was Kerubim's twitter callout arc. Now it's just sad.·😭

Also, in a better circumstance, I would comment on how cute it is that Kerubim says he likes cats (or babies, considering that for ecaflips... yeah. man. this episode is making me say insane things.) that much.

No wonder he's going fucking insane.

The first one is a reused text asset from the first episodes that says "MAISON DE NERUBIM CREPIN". What she is writing seems to be "RMCP"

The second one is, uh. Yeah.

Judging by the paintings, I suppose this episode takes place after Vax's Art (ep10) and Bashi the Shark (ep7).

I know these are just reused assets, but also — it's Ankama's own fault that they gave me this to do theorizing with.

Jesus fucking Christ, here we go. Twenty pages of analysis incoming:

He had a very interesting evening. Getting drunk (as usual), gambling (as usual)...

But having a woman "ride" him, while being very, very drunk, too — is this also, in fact, usual? Hopefully, it was a literal riding, horse-style.

Judging from Lou's phrasing and reaction, as well as this episode's whole thing so far, it was probably not.

Which is... not good at all. Yeah.

We'll never truly know, with Joris's unreliable narration in this episode. But I am sad to report, that I don't think it would be out of character for Kerubim to... have these things happen to him, and be okay with that.

And it's in-character for Lou to view Kerubim's habits of getting drunk and gambling everything away, while having ambiguously-nonconsensual (on his side) relations with women, as punishable evils on his part, good old "shit boyfriend" behaviours.

Instead of, y'know, self-destruction.

...Okay, I think I am ready to present something to you, so here's a refresher for my earlier liveblogs, in the form of the six tenets of theorizing about their final break up we established:

She left sad, and unlike many other times, without any anger for Kerubim.

She left Luis with him to watch over him.

She also left Luis because he couldn’t go with her, but that could mean many things.

She left after Ecaflip City, obviously, and at that time, their relationship seemed the healthiest. (Well, as healthy as it could be.)

Unlike all the other times, Kerubim didn’t go searching for her. It seems this separation was final in a way no other was, and there had to be a reason that he didn’t go and try to make up. An unsolvable issue.

Both Luis and Kerubim blame Kerubim, and the first one uses this to make the second one angry.

I think it's time to make to finally reveal my Divorce Theory:

I think Lou left Kerubim after regaining her memories, and realizing that they're just bad for each other.

She often manipulated him using his insecurities and fears of abandonment, which are the result of his childhood traumas. She hit him, and disregarded, or at times exacerbated, his various mental health issues.

While he has cheated on her many times while being completely sober, without any regard for her personhood and feelings. He's gambled away her memories.

Yes, they loved each other, but they were horrible together.

And I think it's a very sad realization to have about someone you've been in love with for your whole life:

That all you've ever managed to do is hurt each other, and make things worse.

...Now that I'm done with sad divorce theories, let's finish up this episode.

The newspaper that shows miss Kitty behind bars, has all the same text as the newspaper where Kerubim is behind bars, so I won't include it, but this?

Since in the TMNT universe in general there is already a canonical Mona Lisa chick(who I might add actually hooks up with Raph acouple times in a couple verses~😏). Sooooo- I don't know about Raphael tryin'na pickin' you up/or addressing you with that pet name.

Thooouuugh a couple weeks ago I finally had enough cash to go see the Super Mario movie and I could TOTALLY see 2k12 and Rise Raph being like Bowser in his approach to his love interest.

Non-Yandere Route

In a normal situation this could be applied to 2k12 as well. While I wouldn't really call Rise Raph a Tsundere; 2k12 is most definitely a Tsundere.

Like Bowser 2k12 Raphael would be all imposing up front to all his comrades though when alone/or with Spike/or Chomp (Kamek in this scenario) is all love struck for Peaches(s/o). I could see Rise Raph doing this too except he probably gush about his crush on his s/o with Buddy.

In both situations like Bowser, both Raphael's would refer to you by a nickname. May you be allies or fighting as enemies Raph would be the only one to call you by the nickname he had given you(much to 2k12 Dr. Name-stein's(Mikey's) jargon).

Normal route wise? It would probably just play out as an average slow burn story. 2k12 Raph being a Tsundere who eventually has to confess due to circumstances(like one of his brothers "accidentally" outing him).

Meanwhile Rise Raph just tries to play it cool kinda like Bowser in the fluffy moments in the film when he was acting out scenarios. Except in Rise Raph's case this soft boi would definitely perform these acts of adoration for real-zeez. Flowers? Check. Flustered pick up lines? Check. Though the love song might be a stretch. Idk if either version of Raphael would go as far as writing a whole song for his crush.

Yandere Route

Yandere route wise both 2k12 and Rise Raph would react in a similar ways when denied/rejected by their s/o.

Bowser to me in the Super Mario movie is a literal yandere for Princess Peach. Dude destroyed a kingdom, took the whole Donkey Kong Army/any infidels captive, AND to top it off tried to sacrifice all his prisoners in Peaches honor for their wedding. Which by the way he cohersed out of the monarch by choking the fuck out of her companion while threatening to destroy her whole Kingdom. Both Rise and 2k12 Raphael would definitely fly into a rage like Bowser during the wedding scene after Peach froze him and reunited with Mario. Between 2k12 Raph with his hair wire triggered anger and Rise Raph's sensitivity this is not gonna end well. Maybe you're really a villain and reveal you were just playing with him for kicks/or ulterior motives. Perhaps you're an ally who's just not interested or has a crush on one of his brothers/or comrades. Either way he's losing his shit. Hopefully whatever is holding the mutant back restrains him long enough for either version of Raphael to calm down cause if the red color coded Hamato breaks free it is a matter of how fast his brothers and comrades can calm him down before the turtle does something extreme...

Btw here's some sketches I did for another request that I'm working on that @ladydoe8 had asked for. It's a writing req but I always find brain storming designs by drawing them makes it easier to describe them.

The one in the top right is from TigerFrog's fan made comic Mutant Ninja Turtle Gaiden (MNTG). I was re-reading it online since it's been a couple years when I came across this beauty. There were more but, this is my favorite line. I really recommend it! It's a fantastic comic, pretty dark, I love the plot! More people need to read it. I would love to write some scenarios/fics for it for you guys.
