So I read the fic of the seven days thing and I absolutely love it! I gotta ask, when Laurance is in the nether running the rebellion what does he do anything for Shads day? And like if so what does he do? Or does he do stuff for all of those seven days? Once again love the fic it's so good.

omg thank you so much !! honestly, i think rebellion-era laurance would have super mixed feelings on the seventh cycle as a whole. i actually don't think he would ever willingly celebrate shad's day again, even being back in the nether, but he would definitely see a lot of his peers in the rebellion still celebrating.

i think that a lot of the seventh cycle has transformed from giving thanks to the divine warriors to simply taking the opportunity to celebrate community. to the shadow knights, while some definitely still consider it a time for ceremonies dedicated to shad, its Also become a time for shadow knights to indulge, go batshit and reclaim the nether as a whole. people like garroth still consider the seventh cycle important to faith and give thanks to the divine themselves, but in a way this makes him feel far more scrutinised and ashamed of his mistakes. others are more excited for a sense of community rather than the divine itself - to go and get involved in festivities, get a break from work, have good food and just chill with their families or significant others.

i think it would be confronting for laurance to re-enter the nether and experience a seventh cycle there again, even with the altered passage of time. i don't think he would want to participate specifically because of his turning and torture all taking place during those celebrations. entering the rebellion wouldn't allow him to reclaim that pain, it would still be quite a sore spot. maybe years into the future in nether time he could be convinced, but in season 3 at least he wouldn't. he would observe others celebrating, and he would at the very least allow them the time to celebrate, but he himself isn't going to get involved beyond overseeing them and watching their backs and brooding somewhere. zenix is probably a bully about it, since its a time to indulge in blood and guts and craziness moreso than normal. the other days of the cycle don't mean Shit in the nether - those practices are worthless and a majority of shadow knights wouldn't even remember that they exist, and if they do it would be a bad idea to be caught pining for them. but if laur is aware that they're happening then its a week+ of moping. he wouldn't celebrate, but he'd be thinking Hard about it. and he would be thinking a Lot about cadenza and joh and garroth especially. it would be on his brain, but i don't think he would do anything for the cycle while in the nether.

When Ekko and Jinx met, he was running away from enforcers who were hunting him down for stealing a hex tech gem to power his so called "z-drive". He couldn't hide in the Firelights sanctuary on time at the risk of outing the whole community and his family, so he went in the forest in hopes to divert enforcers' direction

He went deep in the forest and stumbled on a shimmer mining site guarded by several miners. There were tons of caves for him to go through, and seemingly one of them lead to a darker area of the forest where an old mill and a tower resides. Thinking it was abandoned, he hid there for the mean time until he felt something metallic bashed against his head.

He woke up tied on a chair, binded by what it looks like.... blue hair? When his vision cleared, he was greeted by a young woman around his age with extremely long blue hair, pointing a gun at him. She introduced herself as Jinx (rather obnoxiously)

She told him she'll give back his precious stone if and only if he lets her tag along with him. He eventually accepts and plans an escape route, only for Jinx to make a distraction for the shimmer miners using a bomb.

Jinx somehow feels guilty for going away from her tower, something that her father strictly ordered for her protection from strangers. He fears that they might hurt his daughter for her oddity...whatever it means...

But she shook off those thoughts and proceeds to follow Ekko where ever he was heading.

What's surprising to Ekko is that Jinx is clueless to what she sees outside of her tower...not to mention how pale she looks, suggesting that she may not be receiving enough sunlight. He was kind enough to teach her what he does in his daily life.

One of the things Jinx finds fascinating is his knowledge and ingenuity when comes to engineering which she shared interest with. They would talk about it for hours while walking through the forest on their way to Zaun

He questioned why her hair is so long, but she hesitates to answer. Jinx was scared that she may be disobeying her dad's wishes (well she already did), and that her hair was one of her anomalies no one could understand but her father and the doctore he hired to check up on her.

When Ekko got injured from escaping enforcers and goons who nearly caught them at the last drop, Jinx wrapped her hair on his wound to heal him, though there was a side effect similar to shimmer. Jinx's blue hair begins to glow pink and her right arm exposing pink glowing marks which freaked him out, but she assured him he'll be fine. She later apologizes for tagging along knowing she'd only cause him trouble, but he told her its ok

When they got to the Firelight's sanctuary to rest, Ekko asked her who is her dad and his blood ran cold; all along he's been with the crime lord's daughter and he could be putting himself and others in harm.

He was conflicted whether he should take her back and forget about her, or save her from whatever they were doing to her in that tower after Jinx briefly mentioning they run "tests" on her blood, possibly infusing shimmer and mutating her further

Jinx caught up to his plan and proceeds to run away, thinking that she's just a jinx yet again.

What’s an idea you’d love to create if you had the time/inspiration? listen, i have this idea for a rock band au that lives rent fucking free in my head, and if i can find the time and the inspiration to actually turn these vibes and unorganized plot points into actual words and a coherent story in the new year, then maybe it'll see the light of day in 2024 but no promises. for now, i leave you with this: four milkovich siblings are in a rock band that is rising to success with the launch of their second studio album and subsequent tour, and ian gallagher is lead singer mandy's (fake) boyfriend--at least in the eyes of the public--and he spends some time that summer touring with the band and hooking up with their lead guitarist in secret until the band's manager/father catches wind of what's going on behind closed doors

What scene or moment do you feel isn’t discussed enough? personally i think the promise ring scene in 10x09 is criminally underrated and not talked about nearly enough, like you don't understand how happy that scene made me (stay with me here) seeing mickey stand up and fight for the future he really wants with ian and not settling for anything less

What line/dialogue/description from something else (a poem, a book, a tv show, a movie, or something else) do you feel describes Ian and Mickey’s relationship? can i do song lyrics? i'm gonna do song lyrics--i've always thought the song godlight by noah kahan was very gallavich, especially the chorus, and especially during s4/5/6 era and it may or may not be a piece of inspiration for my big bang canon divergent fic

What do you think is next for Ian and Mickey post-finale? i think they take a while to really settle into their new place and and make it their own, and it's a bit of an adjustment (for both of them) to fit in with this new crowd and this new environment, but they're learning how to grow and evolve together and at the end of the day that's all that really matters to the both of them

for now, i think leon with a new hire would be initially really awkward, especially if he finds them attractive off the bat. he's not the best person to go for training-- he's generally competent but i think the pressure of talking to you would make him just kinda fall silent a lot. he'd give you one word answers, or not really elaborate on things just because he genuinely doesn't know what to say.

now if we're talking older leon, that's a whole new ballgame. the restaurant industry has made him jaded, so he has a whole slew of 'tricks' that he does to make things go by easier. are they proper? no. but they work, and leon's perfectly willing to take you under his wing. older leon has that like, weirdly suave charm while still being kind of awkward.

if you're wondering why i went inactive and then deleted, my mental health kind of (really) tanked... and i ended up deleting my blog in a fit.

it's getting better bit by bit though! and i've been wanting to get back into writing (and talking abt my unhinged/yan ideas i can't really talk to anyone else abt), so. here i am! for now, at least

as for my previously posted writing, there's some good news and some bad news: the bad news is that everything i wrote directly into tumblr (99% of snippets, a lot of ask answers, most exact content warnings, etc) is gone. the slightly less bad news is that iirc there were very very few posts of mine that weren't reblogged by anyone at all, so they're probably still out there? feel free to send them my way if you find any and i'll rb them. @/midnight-remembrance also has reblogged a couple of them! there's a couple snippets i have saved in some places, so i might repost those on my own as i find them, but there's very few of those. the good news is that anything longer (proper writing — oneshots, hcs, yan alphabet responses and so on, prompt responses, etc) is safely backed up where i originally wrote it! some of it is also on my ao3, which is the same username. feel free to send me asks about any you'd like to see again and i'll repost them! i might not post them if i feel too embarrassed about/wish i hadn't posted them, and i might rewrite/heavily edit some of them, but i think there's only a handful that fall into the former category and none of them were particularly popular. either way, no harm in asking!

as for some other updates: i'm a little divided on whether i want to keep posting explicit nsfw or not so we'll see. i might just keep it out of main tags. idk yet. regardless of what decision i make, this blog is still strictly 18+ and that will not be changing. since we can reply from sideblogs now, this is a sideblog and not my main now. why? sometimes i prefer to check up on a blog frequently instead of following them for a couple of reasons, but this felt very awkward when they were following me. so this being a sideblog relieves a bit of that stress. if this makes it sound like i have severe brain worms, it's because i do. to that effect though, if we interact every so often feel free to consider us mutuals regardless of whether or not i'm actually following you =w=b tbh i.............. am not really into genshin anymore. i might post about it here and there but i just Do Not (really) Care about it anymore. scara aside to some degree i also have no clue what's going on post inazuma lol whatever projects or commitments to writing or etc i had made beforehand. i forgot all of them so just pretend that never happened ok? ok i'll also probably be posting more sparsely, but we'll see! and (this is obviously the most important bit) i have no clue where i put the mika edit so we're back to my og classic pfp. the header scales terribly and is temporary, please ignore that too

*roughly 6/22 done, but fairly quick to write. roughly one paragraph per character (sneak peek line: "it's not too hard to be discreet with his unique magic when someone really deserves to fall face down a flight of stairs. or three. oopsie. odd they don't remember it, huh? well, he had nothing to do with that.") **more realistic isn't quite the right word(s)... probably won't post this one to the main tags regardless. won't be doing all of the characters (only important/relevant ones) and won't be writing more about/expanding on, so this one is just like. a one off experiment sort of thing. overall less violent than most takes on the au + leans a bit (or lot, depending on how you look at it) more on the religious aspect of self aware aus. i wrote a couple paragraphs a while ago, then rewrote them, but i'll only finish/post them if there's interest for it (sneak peek line: "aether has deluded himself and cast You aside entirely on his own—and when You finally grace them with Your real presence, zhongli is certain aether will be the first to fall from Your grace.")

Q1: Biggest Surprise While Writing This Year?

I think my biggest surprise I had this year was beginning to start writing stuff like fics and au's but also writing down ideas and character analysis'. I didn't really do much writing in previous years because I just had so many ideas and I felt like I couldn't verbally explain them so writing them down would also be pointless.

Q2: How Many WIPS Do You Have In Your Docs For Next Year?

I got like so many (which are never gonna be finished) jk. I want to try to work on a few of them and finish them before the year is over but watch out 2025 I got ideas and plenty of them, so keep an eye out!

Q3: Favorite Character To Write This Year?

I really enjoyed writing about Alk (Unknown character moment), I think he was the first character that I wrote about that began my whole writing journey for the year. I wanted to explore his compassionate and helpful personality that he always showed in each different world, just his eager willingness to help out anyone in need. So I wrote about a new world and was able to tie in some other character backstory elements that I wanted closure for and I discovered how much I like writing about character personality and making the reader connect with them.

Q4: The Character That Gave You The Most Trouble To Write This Year?

Cheating a little because I didn't have trouble writing about one character but rather multiple and it was specifically their relationships. I had a few ideas for my Starview fic (gonna rewrite it probably) but most of the interactions I wrote about came from some friends, and they mostly suggested a bunch of ships which I had no experience writing about. I just felt like the ships these people gave me had a reason for existing and if I wrote it wrong or presented it in a way different than what my friend envisioned the relationship to be like, then it'd ruin the relationship altogether.

Q5: What Is One Pairing You Want To Explore Next Year?

All of them. I'm not really versed with writing about ships/pairs but I'd like to try some next year.

Q6: Did You Recieve Any Gifts This Year?

Huge massive gift I recieved this year was discovering and then subsequently contributing to the community I've found on here. I cherish each interaction and friend I've made on here (a few of them i'm like "??? why did you follow me you're literally so cool hello???".

I am so not a multi-chapter kinda gal, so... not many. Notes for a few maybe-things, in that one-line-ish way.

Greg House. (Close tie between him and Wilson. Mostly, this has been the year of Hilson.)

I honestly have no idea. On the House front, I have been loving the femslash: Stacy/Cuddy, Stacy/Amber, Cameron/Thirteen, Thirteen/Amber, Bonnie/Nora...

In other fandoms: Miles O'Brien/Will Kayden, Hal Wyler/Kate Wyler, the Doctor Odyssey trio...

(Mostly though if next year is a fic year I think there will be more Hilson, and maybe a little bit of the ineffable husbands, and some space station bros, and the ongoing trickle of the panel-show-host-bromance thing.)

she had one too many things on her mind to begin with, the gala? was honestly the last thing on ochako’s mind. hazel eyes glance down at akari just as kaito adjusted the hood on the stroller, good. the paparazzi were coming out in droves lately as the countdown to the gala drew closer yet with each passing day. the eyes of the world were beginning to center around the heroes as the days got closer-- ochako hated this time of year. 

it was like living beneath a microscope. where each and every move you made publicly was watched and criticized. then judged again, not only by your peers, but also by the rest of the world. no matter how many people she’s saved or defended in the last year, the only thing uravity has been known for lately was being akari’s surrogate. and while that was a blessing and gift she could give to two of the people she cared very dearly about in this world, it’d done horrible for her career as a rescue hero. something, she was still trying to fix.  

her gaze shifts to kaito briefly, and the corners of her lips do turn up into a smile. to see kei and kaito in matching outfits would be a picture perfect moment, surely. but, even though the thought brings a smile to her face, ochako still shrugs a shoulder, stuffing her hands into her jacket’s pockets. “ my manager hasn’t shut up about the gala for weeks now. it’s bad enough i’m already doing so many engagements each day on top of patrols-- ” ochako looks out ahead of them again, eyes constantly darting around, just in case. you never could be too careful, anymore. 

sighing, ochako shakes her head, evenly. “ i mean.. i guess i’m excited? but i just hate all the glitz and glamor that goes along with it! i gave the agency so much publicity last year,  this year they’re going way over the top. ” she thinks back to last year when mina dropped everything to come and make sure a pregnant ochako was literally the belle of the ball. “ i think my agency even hired a makeup team, and i am wearing some crazy expensive dress by an international designer? i’m scared to see the heels they picked out.. they’ll probably cost more than my apartment.. ” wary eyes slide towards kaito, and they soften a fraction when they meet his. and she laughs, genuinely. 

“ but seeing you and kei all matchy-matchy? that’ll make my night for sure! ” if anything, at least once all the hero duties of the evening were out of the way, it’d be a night they could all enjoy together. something, that due to busy schedules, didn’t happen as much as they all would’ve liked. “ i know deku’s excited! ”

Oooo Purpled HCs? I have a lot more AUs than HCs because as always the bedwars king gives us nothing in terms of lore but here’s the few I do have: -Purpled may have lived in a UFO, but if you asked him, he wouldn’t be able to identify a single constellation. -Dude adores his dogs. i'm around 40 followers away from 2000 followers on this blog (i've been kinda stuck around 1950 followers for a while now, it keeps going up and down lmao) so i guess this is a little thank you from me for sticking around for this long to read a silly AU that i've become so fixated on. even when the day comes that i no longer am interested in this AU (which will be a long time from now dw) i'll still have a very special place for it in my heart. i wouldn't be planning to rewrite it as its own novel if it wasn't so important to me.

i know lately my blog has calmed down a LOT from its initial launch in 2018. i've also had some personal stuff happen relating to it that has sucked a bit of enjoyment out of it (nothing to do with any of y'all!!! it's a very personal thing). but even though things have calmed and i struggle to answer asks as well as i used to (sorry for all the unanswered asks, it's nothing personal i promise) i still check my notifs for this blog daily and i always love seeing comments and reactions to my fics and drawings. it really means the world to me and it's the main thing keeping me going with this AU.

i do want to apologise if it feels like i've been a lot more quieter or distant from this blog though. idk if anyone has noticed anything but i definitely feel like i haven't been doing enough to keep y'alls enjoyment lately. i even get worried that my fics aren't interesting anymore since we're past the 'useless gay pining' stage and are onto the 'useless gays making a weird relationship work' stage, and i feel like it's not what most people want to see. idk if that's true, but it's what it feels like. but i also know that a lot of it is probably in my head. i still get comments and love and kudos from y'all and that should be and is enough for me, and i'll always be super appreciative of that.

i would like to maybe bring a bit more life to this blog again. if you ever wonder why i may not reply to asks, its because i'm just unsure how to answer. i get very few asks relating to TAG these days, which is fine, don't get me wrong, but it's difficult for me to give a good answer to something that could easily be its own headcanon post or otherwise. this isn't me complaining btw, i'm saying if you're one of the people sending me hcs, especially on anon, i'm recommending you put yourself out there on your own blogs !!!! i know it's nerve-wracking but i always see good stuff in there. i don't want it stuck on my blog where you won't get any credit, you deserve recognition :]

anyway, like i said, i want to bring more life to this blog again. i'm much more likely to answer asks relating to my au. it brings me a lot of dopamine and motivates me to actually get around to it. so if anyone wants to go ahead and do that, then i'd be happy to do it <3

the Dawn of a friendship

Ariadne didn’t know how long she had been waiting in the games room, hoping Anna would show up as was Anna’s routine in grand parties like the one of the one they were having.

Eventually, Ariadne got herself to step out of the games room and picked up the courage to scout for Anna herself. She needed to tell Anna that she had heard what Anna had said to her at the infirmary.

James Herondale’s and Cordelia Carstairs’ engagement party was one of the most luxurious parties Ariadne had attended, consisting of numerous respected members of the enclave, but it wasn’t hard to spot Anna among the crowd.

Anna was always easy to spot, the aura around her just commanded people to pay attention. It had always caught Ariadne’s attention.

But then, at that moment, what caught Ariadne’s attention was not Anna Lightwood. What caught her attention was the sight of a boy, looking around the same age as Ariadne was, storming out of the ballroom looking distraught.

Even though she didn’t know the boy at all, Ariadne felt a surge of protectiveness overpower her. The boy was heading away from a group of teenage boys. Ariadne was able to recognise the group of boys. Everybody knew the group, it consisted of the children of the most popular shadowhunters of the previous generation.

Matthew Fairchild, who looked positively furious, was part of the group. He was the Counsul’s son and so Ariadne had been acquainted with him. He was fair company, but  promiscuously quoted Oscar Wilde every five minutes or so.

As if by instinct, Ariadne found herself sprinting after the boy, only to have her path blocked by-

“Anna?” she panted, peering outside the door to catch a glimpse of the boy.

“Ari, you look healthy-” Anna began, her cool and unworried tone clashing against the mood Ariadne was in. Ariadne could no longer able to see the boy.

“Anna, please do excuse me for being impolite, but I have an important matter to attend to” said Ariadne apologetically, pushing past Anna even before she had the time to respond.

Ariadne, on any other day, would have shuddered at the thought of dismissing Anna for going after some boy she didn’t know anything about.

But there was something about the boy. No, Ariadne was not in love with him, she didn’t even know him properly. In fact, she would never love any boy, she was certain of it. No matter how many times she had been warned of the dangers of being the way she was, she was certain that no matter how hard she tried, she would never fall in love with a boy.

“Stop”, Ariadne called out when the boy was finally in her line of vision.

The boy whipped his head back to look at the source of the voice. His face wore an alarmed expression and upon closer inspection, Ariadne could see tears spilling out of his eyes.

“I’ll be with you in a moment” announced the boy, before facing the other direction and furiously wiping off his tears.

“What’s the matter?” asked Ariadne when he was done and turned towards her once more.

“Miss Bridgestock, everything is alright, just don’t mind me and return to your party. why did you come after me?”

“I just wanted to make sure everything was fine” shrugged Ariadne “It’s not at every party that Thomas Lightwood is the cause of a grown man’s tears”

The boy scoffed and later held out his hand, preparing to leave “I’m Alastair Carstairs, it was nice to-”

“Carstairs?” Ariadne interrupted .“I don’t think you should be going anywhere now, are you related to the would be bride?”

“I’m her brother” revealed Alastair, which resulted in Ariadne arching her eyebrows up in a display of disappointment.

Taking notice of Ariadne’s expression, Alastair folded his hands and struck his chin out. “Yes, I know should be in there, but just want one day to myself. Is that too much to ask? Also, stop being so judgmental, you barely know who I am or what I’ve been through”

“Then tell me about it” said Ariadne, gently nudging Alastair with her elbow.

Alastair looked perplexed. “Good lord, you’re impossible to dislike” he remarked, looking up to the sky in exasperation.

Ariadne’s eyebrows went up again. “Why would you ‘dislike’ me?” she asked, her voice full of curiosity. What would a boy whom she had never met before have against her?

“I just said that I didn’t” muttered Alastair “well, for a time I did, because of Charles”

“Charles Fairchild? The one ‘Charles’ I was engaged to?”. Ariadne had gotten somewhat of an idea of where the conversation was going, but wasn’t very confident about it and let Alastair explain it himself. Also, they were in England and in England there were as as many Charles’ as there were mice.

“Yes. Him” confirmed Alastair “I presume you already know that he likes men, don’t you? I was told that you know”

Ariadne nodded. “I know. that is why I agreed to the engagement in the first place”

“Well, the thing is, Charles and I were together at the time of your engagement” Alastair confessed, “I just broke things off with him”

“Is that why you’re upset?” asked Ariadne.

“No. I actually feel like a load has been lifted off chest, actually” said Alastair, smiling sadly. “Why I left early is because I tried to make amends with a few boys who went to the academy with me and it didn’t go well”

“What went wrong in the academy?” Ariadne inquired, feeling as though she might explode if she didn’t receive all the answers to her questions.

“You ask a lot of questions” laughed Alastair, his mind distant.

Ariadne patiently waited for him to answer.

Alastair gulped, not sure if he was making the right choice by spilling out all of his problems to his previous lover’s previous fiancée.

“I wasn’t treated right, when I first joined the academy. Well, you should know how it is” said Alastair, gesturing to Ariadne.

Of course Ariadne knew how it was. Both her overprotective parents had tried to protect her from the harsh realities of living in London while looking the way she did. And yet, she knew. 

She knew it from the way the guests arriving in her house looking for inquisitor Bridgestock always looked down upon her. Some even assumed that she was bought for money by the Bridgestocks, not as a daughter but as something else.

That was what people normally assumed of you when you were from a country that was colonised by the country you are presently residing in. 

“I more than ‘know’ how it is” retuned Ariadne.

For a moment they stood in silence, neither knowing what to say. Alastair finally broke it by asking “How do you bear it? I sometimes feel like screaming until nothing comes out, but I have my mother and Layla who are like me but you-”

“-am adopted” finished Ariadne “It does get frustrating. My parents want me to forget that I am an Indian and once had another name. they want me to forget about my birth parents, their-” Ariadne broke off bursting into tears.

“Oh god, this was supposed to be about you” sniffed Ariadne as Alastair wrapped his coat around her.

“Why don’t we go to your house and talk about it over a warm cup of tea, which  probably was imported from India, Miss Bridgestock?” he asked in a desperate attempt to cheer Ariadne up.

“Alright” Ariadne laughed, then with a solemn face face, added “call me Kamala, it is my birth name”

1. Do they get together BEFORE MF possessing Billy or AFTER shit goes down? (Or maybe DURING😲)

Typically I say before, like at around Christmas time in ‘84. I think anybody in a small town puts aside character prejudices around the holidays and tries to make those connections with everyone, so I’ve always felt, especially since the fight was literally only a month before, that Steve would reach out to Billy the night of the Snowball and things would, well, snowball from there.

2. Who kisses who first?

Definitely Steve. I firmly stand by the hc that Billy’s never kissed a boy before Steve, and maybe Steve hasn’t either, but he’s the romantic, no way is he going to let Billy kiss him first.

3. Where do they have their first sex? (Location) (HJs and BJs count)

I don’t really have a solid answer for this? But definitely somewhere very spur of the moment, maybe somebody’s couch or the locker rooms?

4. Who says 💖 I LOVE YOU 💖 first?

Imma say Billy. Opposite of my last answer, I don’t feel like either of them would say they love each other on accident or like, in the moment. I think their first I love you’d would be very very controlled. I also think Billy has less experience with actually being in love, so when the time comes that he’s actually mustered up the courage to say it to Steve, I think he’s super nervous and practices the perfect scenario in his head a dozen times. It’s definitely not blurted out.

5. I believe this fandom is way past having hard feelings about it, so

BottomSteve! or BottomBilly?

I don’t have a strong opinion either way, but typically, I prefer bottom!Steve. No particular reason, that’s just the way I tend to read things!

6. Do they give gifts to each other?

Absolutely! Billy doesn’t have the disposable income to run out and buy Steve new things every time he wants to give him something, so I think he does a really cheesy like, giving him a kiss as a present and making a big deal out of it.

Steve is sort of the same way, in that he doesn’t like to give Billy material things, because he doesn’t want him to think he’s being pretentious or trying to hold his wealth over Billy’s head like he’s his mom or something, so he only gives Billy personal things. Old pilled t-shirts to wear to bed and a blanket to keep on the couch in his room that smells like him. Things like that.

They also try to make eachother things as presents, like food or little knick knacks in art class, but they always fail miserably and think it’s really funny when all they have to show is a smoking mess.

7. Where do they end up living? California, Chicago, Hawkins... Idk .. Alaska??)))) Any other location?

I honestly think they stay in Hawkins. I don’t think after everything Billy would be able to leave Max behind, and I also think that Steve would like having a connection to where he grew up, even if bad things happened there. If they did leave though, I see them going down south, maybe tourist trap Tennessee?

8. What are their future jobs?

In my mind that very much depends on if we’re following canon and this is post Starcourt or like, if it’s a whole new AU. Because after that I don’t think Billy would actually ever be physically well enough to work again. I know it’s a pretty unpopular opinion, bc the general hc is that he bounces back within a year or so with some scars (which is cool! I’m not knocking that I’m just sayin) but I think he'd be permanently disabled, on oxygen support 24/7, and just with all sorts of health complications from, you know, literally having a gaping hole in his chest, that would make it impossible for him to work. In that sort of scenario I usually think of Steve as a being teacher or an artist, something that he doesn’t have very long work hours or can do from home so he can be there to take care of Billy.

If we’re going with like, a no upside down or a Billy is never hurt au, I think he stays in Hawkins and just works in some sort of a mom and pop until he’s the new manager, like at an antique store maybe?

(p.s. stay tuned for an upcoming fic about Billy working in a fix-it shop!!)

As for Steve, I feel like he wouldn’t ever be able to settle on one career when he didn’t have limitations. I don’t really know what he’d eventually decide is his calling, maybe design of some sort? Jewelry making?

This is a hard question, I don’t really see them as being tied down to one career indefinitely, but I do know I don’t see either of them ever working desk jobs.

9. Who's a better cook?

Neither of them. Billy wasn’t allowed in the kitchen growing up because Neil said it’s a woman's place, and Steve is just god awful at following directions, like, can’t tell the difference between a teaspoon and a tablespoon or preheat the oven awful. They just eat takeout and like, cold sandwiches literally all the time until someone (Joyce) notices and teaches them how to cook on the weekends.

10. Steve Hargrove or Billy Harrington?

Billy Harrington. I don’t see him wanting to be a Hargrove anymore. He has no positive ties to the name with his mom leaving and his dad being his dad, so I think he’d want to take Steve’s last name. Also this is kinda weird but I am VERY particular about my middle name hcs (I think it’s an ocd thing? idk) and I have an alliterative name for Steve that wouldn’t work if he was a Hargrove instead of a Harrington, so that’s also part of the reason.

11. What's Max's reaction when she hears they're together?

I think probably just like, confusion. Not over Billy being with a boy, but over that boy being Steve. Like, she doesn’t know Steve well, but she knows he’s the responsible big brother to Dustin, and that’s the exact opposite of what her brother is like, so it catches her off guard. She’s definitely a little gossip though, wanting all the not-gross details about Steve from her brother. She’s basically just a little sister about it, I guess.

12. Describe in ONE SENTENCE Hopper's reaction when he hears the names Hargrove and Harrington mentioned together?

Not again.

13. Does Robin like Billy OR does Robin hate Billy?

I think she likes him. I have a little hc that she and him were together in an underground pre-gsa kinda thing in high school. She pretends she can’t stand him, but the two of them are quick best friends. (this might just be me but I think the two of them together would give statler and waldorf vibes)

14. What about Dustin?

Dustin I think actually thinks Billy is really cool. Like, he’s like a little double agent, hearing from Max all the annoying things about Billy, and from Steve the good things. He’ll gag if Steve gets too mushy over him and he’ll definitely join in with Max in calling Billy gross, and he also absolutely gives Billy a (very non-intimidating. he’s too soft) shovel talk, but I think he really likes and looks up to Billy as like, his other big brother.

15. Fav Harringrove AU?

Oh gosh, I can’t even pick. I think I like childhood friends aus best? They’re really fun to play with and it always ends up being super sweet. I’m a big fan of soulmates too for kind of the same reasons. I like mushy stuff.

16. Billy+Camaro=...??? (Not strictly Harringrove, but I can't not to ..)

I honestly don’t think Billy cares about the camaro that much. He’d be sad when it gets totaled because that was his only way of getting around and also his first car, but I don’t think the car itself has that much value to him. I mean, he treats it with absolutely zero respect, jumping curbs and driving too fast and slamming on those breaks. The camaro is just a car. 🤷🏻‍♀️
