1. Sweet Talk/The Harlequin (Harleen Quinzel)

Originally contracted to work as a psychiatrist for the Tartarus villain redemption program, Sweet Talk had a unique relationship with the Joker. This relationship was proven to be even stranger than her coworkers had originally assumed when she broke him out and joined him in his life of crime.

Devoting herself entirely to her new life and relationship with the joker, she covers her original cutie mark at all times. Snce her horn was snapped she can no longer cast precise spells, leaving her magic mostly emotion-based and intensely volatile, (typically manifesting in the form of sparks, zaps, and explosions).

Other Notes:

-Using Tartarus as a substitute for Arkham Asylum for this au because why not.

-The villain redemption program did NOT go well. Sorry Twilight.

-Mostly based on BTAS Harley because I adore the original costume.

-Her horn was cracked by the Joker

2. Pudding Pie/The Joker (The Joker)

Batpony’s most notorious foe. Said to have been just a regular pony until he fell into a vat at an Ace Potions factory during a conflict with Batpony.

He doesn’t have a Cutie Mark, but it’s unclear whether this was always the case or instead a result of his accident. The effects of permanent Cutie Mark loss—the only known cases of which occurred via long-banned magic and/or traumatic injury—are largely unstudied, and it’s ramifications are unknown. Some ponies theorize this may be the reason for the Joker’s mental state and general disposition.  

Sundown has a different opinion on the matter.

Other notes:

-Based mostly on BTAS joker and the ‘89 Nicholson joker.

-His name is just based on Harley’s “pudding” nickname for in in a lot of versions, but I think it would also be hilarious if he was a distant relative of Pinkie Pie.

-I could leave it ambiguous but. Yeah the potion vat didn’t actually do anything beyond slightly altering his physical appearance. He’s just like that and he never got a cutie mark in the first place.

3. Gadiel/Scarecrow (Jonathan Crane)

Raised among ponies, Gadiel was relentlessly bullied for being gangly and birdish, earning him the nickname “Scarecrow” in his youth. Though he later successfully became a professor and psychologist in Gotham, Gadiel was eventually fired when he was found to be testing his fear-inducing potions on his students and purposefully putting them through terrifying and dangerous situations. Deciding to take his experiments to the masses, Gadiel donned the mantle of Scarecrow and weaponized fear to become a career criminal.

As the Scarecrow, he’s known for his skill in manipulation, psychological torture, and crafting dangerous potions and gas. The effects of fear on magical creatures are unique and intense, much to Gadiel’s delight and interest.

Other Notes:

-I wanted to make his front half a crane but I couldn’t get the long neck to work right with the mask, so he’s more crow-like instead.

-according to the wiki 1/3 of Griffin names start with a G so naturally I was extremely tempted to name him Gonathon and you should all be very grateful I did not. The name Gadiel has origins in the bible as the name of an archangel which I thought was fitting given the insane religious trauma some versions of the scarecrow went through. I thought about trying to do something similar for this version but given that the mlp universe uses Princess Celestia as a replacement for God in expressions like “Celestia knows where” and “Oh my Celestia” I wasn’t really sure how to go about it. There’s probably some kind of sun-worshipping thing in equestria idk.

-I spent a long time on the mlp wiki but from what I could find the only “fear” magic in the show is just used by one guy and its just called “dark magic”. I thought for sure there would’ve been some random plant or magical creature they dealt with at some point that maybe did something similar I could use for his blurb but unfortunately there was not.

4. Mandible/Falseface (Basil Karlo/Matt Hagen)

Hungry and deeply resentful of the changeling queen for forcing her underlings to share what little stolen love they had with her, Mandible went rogue early on and split off from the hive to pursue his own ventures. Finding success under the name Claypose as a pony actor in Gotham, he was sustained primarily by the one-sided love of his fans for years, despite the false identity having no real prior personal relationships to leech from. 

After a magical special effects accident on set revealed his true nature, he went into hiding and immediately started crafting a new persona, but soon found in his distress and rage over losing his identity as Claypose that he could no longer sustain any disguise long enough to keep up a long-term facade. Blaming the accident, he targeted the unicorn responsible by posing as his wife to leech his love, but ended up killing the pony in a panic when his disguise failed much faster than he’d anticipated it would. Unable to keep up a new identity or return to the hive, Mandible turned to a life of crime instead, doing dirty work for the bigger criminal names in Gotham and leeching love from his employer’s targets to survive.

Other notes:

-Clayface being a changeling was an obvious pick given his power set but I really wasn’t sure how to tackle the main issue of him being unable to keep a solid form for long. I went with his distress and frustration being the main thing keeping his disguise flimsy (so he gets put in kind of an ourobouros cycle where his disguise being bad makes him upset but him being upset makes it harder to fix his disguise), but the magic accident probably also contributed somehow.

-Why are all the changelings straight up just named after body parts in this show whats that about. The “Clay” in Claypose is obviously a reference to his title/schtick in the comics while the “pose” comes from both his job as an actor and the fact that he’s posing as a pony. Mandible is the name for the jaw part of an insect.

-there's actually an entirely different batman villain called falseface in the '66 series (…and another in the comics apparently, whoops) but I couldn't come up with anything better. Changeface just does not roll off the tongue.

3. Winglon/Killer Drake (Waylon Jones)

Originally intended to be used in an entrance exam, his egg was stolen from a Canterlot delivery cart on its way to Celestia’s school of magic and sold on the black market to a Pony Island circus. Raised to be part of the freak show, Winglon was pitted against circus performers and overconfident challengers in ring fights for money and entertainment. Enduring abuse and injury throughout his life from ponies that he was always fundamentally stronger than, it was only a matter of time until he snapped. Garnering the name Killer Drake for his actions, Winglon escaped into the Gotham sewer system.

Not knowing how to return to the dragonlands or whether he’d even fit into dragon society at all, he continues to lurk in the dark away from any life, deeply resenting ponies and all other manner of magical creatures that make friends with them.

Other notes:

-I like silly names ok. Winglon Jones. -I like the theory that the dragon egg used for Twilight’s entrance exam was actually fake/meant to be a no-win scenario, but I also don’t think it would be that hard for enterprising ponies to get their hands on dragon eggs. The practice probably stopped in the later seasons when they made friends with the dragonlands or whatever though.

-Given that dragons threaten to eat or kill ponies at multiple points in the show, the cannibalism is actually kind of understandable. And also not even cannibalism anymore. Still murder though.

-he's a pegasus because I felt like 'dimsdale' sounds like it would be a pegasus town fsr

-I figured he'd be a blank flank sense he's only 10

-I considered 'wishing well' as a name instead but thought little wisher sounded cuter

-I find it bland that when someone ponyifies a character with brown hair they just make them brown so while in the original post I did include a brown version I much prefer him in purple~

-Wanda and Cosmo get to keep their names, They're still fairy godparents, their species is closely related to the breezies

Pineapple Square (spongebob)

now that I think of it he could probably keep his full surname of squarepants but just 'square' sounds like a dessert so I like both

-I considered making him a merpony but decided I wanted all of them to be ponies and make the diversity in the type of pony instead

-I also considered making him a pegasus but I felt being an earth pony would probably fit better

-I also considered a number of cutie mark options, but sense a lot of ponies have cutiemarks related to their job I felt a spatula would make the most sense. I added some fun flowers to go with it though :3

-I like to think the equestria equivalent of bikini bottom would be a town on a beach thats on the outskirts of equestria, and that it's full of a bunch of different species and not just ponies

-fndjsanfk drawing fluffy hair is so fun :D

Neutronic Sprinkles! (jimmy)

-original was gonna be 'sprinkle Neutron' but I don't think it runs off the tongue well

-anyway I'm naming him Sprinkles because apparently some people call sprinkles 'jimmys' and his hair looks like icecream

-this is also why he gets to keep a nuetrual brown color scheme because chocalote ice cream

-so i ALMOST made him a unicorn, but then I reconsidered, because i felt him being an earth pony would make him being a super genius much more impactful, like, unicorns tend to be associated with the science-stuff and invention and innovation of Equestria. generally speaking at least. additionally the apple family has got us under the impression that country/southern=earth pony and retroville is in texas so *shrug*

-His cutiemark is the symbol from his shirt, I think he probably got his cutiemark earlier then most, and plenty his age are still blank flanks

Scifi Phantom (or Phantastic) (danny)

-his name came to my mind immediately, idk why really

-he's a unicorn mostly because no one else is

-in his pony(non ghost) form he has black mane and light blue coat, his cutie mark is a purplish planet with a ring, and some snowflakes around it, it turns blue in his ghost form

-I figured it would make sense to keep his cutiemark concealed as Phantom, sense that's probably 'secret identity 101 in equestria

-in pony form his tail is just basic spikey and short, as a ghost it's all fun and spectral!!

Artistic ramble under cut

Something about,, maomao being tasked to go talk to some Important Pony and she's allowd to bring a partner (xiaolan, her #1 ofc) , but Jinshi also wants to go bc hes bored of work and wants to get out of the castle

So he gets permission to go with her in disguise,

And he and yoh are both alicorns so they have magic/potions equipped that'll change how they look

In jinshi's case, i think itd make him a slightly shorter, lankier, and slightly change his coat color and hair texture

Maomao doesnt help with the magic portion of the disguise but she says he looks too obviously "jinshi" so he gets his thicker brows and jinka moles and she ponders over his cutie mark a little bit before deciding its part of the disguise, since she has no idea what his cutie mark actually is

Maomao isnt given details on the disguise spell/potion bc what does an earth pony need spell knowledge for?

And she's constantly waiting for something to go wrong and for him to be revealed as a palace servant

Xiaolan, on the other hand, is happy to meet this "jinka" and welcomes him into friendship so easily

They play detective and run ahead and make inside jokes

Idk if i can think of a relationship to compare them too... i just think theyd have a lot of fun going on missions together

I think mao watxhing xiaolan and jinka bonding would definitely sweeten her up to jinshi bc aw he's kind with her lil sister friend :)

I contemplated giving xiaolan wings but didnt :/ i didnt feel like drawing them but maybe she'll get them if i draw her again

Things in my head that count as lore but i didnt mention already, maybe:

-Jinshi is the prince of the night (necessary) working double as a palace servant during the day (same work he does in canon)

-Thinks he does all the stuff luna does, so he's generally pretty tired or youll probably only get a hold of him during the night, but luna is awake during the day sometimes so who really knows

-Maomao is still an apothecary, she is frequently summoned to the palace for detective work bc she got mixed up in some business prior, and they value her help OR she knows gyo and gyo knows she's a bit of a sleuth :3c put in a word for her at the castle

-There is no maolan separation >:( they come as a PAIR!!!!

-no maomao does not know jinshi is the moon prince until she finds out, why? Because girl... i said so...

He doesn't mean to flinch, he doesn't mean to show you how stressed he is, but you can sense it.

Each time the needle presses against his skin, he hisses, mouth biting onto his lips, harsh enough to draw blood.

But Eddie doesn’t care, you—the hottest and coolest girl—that has ever graced the hellhole that was Hawkins was tattooing him, and Eddie couldn’t afford to look like a coward.

So with everything in him, he shut his lips, biting on them, becoming accustomed to the metallic taste because it didn’t matter, not when you looked so fucking pretty when cooing him and your free hand squeezed his biceps for reassurance.

He didn’t know what to admire first, the way your lips quirked sweetly when you answered his dumb questions, the way you looked so focused with your lip between your teeth, trying to tattoo him, or the fact that you were wearing an Anthrax shirt, and not just any regular Anthrax shirt that you could find at those regular shops, it was an exclusive shirt that was only sold at the concerts, and he had to gulp physically at that.

You were a tattoo artist… and a metal fan? How perfect could you get?

Before his questions were answered, the needle pricked at his skin again, he cursed out, and instead of screaming in his mind, he whimpered out loud this time.

Your head perked up quickly and Eddie was now cursing himself, for being a fucking idiot, for looking like a coward in front of you.

“I can slow down if you want to,” You said with a smile, a sweet smile that adorned your perfectly red lips, they looked so fucking kissable.

“N–no!” He stuttered, but you gave him a huff. “C’mon Eds, you’re doing good… better than anyone I’ve ever tattooed has, we can slow down a bit.” You reassured.

His eyes lit up like a child, Eds? His new acquired nickname rolled off your tongue so sweetly, your words dripped in honey. And Eddie decided he would do anything to hear you call him that again.

Not only did you call him Eds, but you also said he was better than the others, and the childish grin on Eddie’s lips was quick to grow again, his entire body relaxing as he almost melted into you.

“You think so?” He asked, tone giddy and all sweet, causing a pretty giggle to escape your lips.

“I know so!” You hummed. “Tattooed a guy yesterday. He was tall. Like really fucking tall, and he had this long beard and tattoos everywhere!” You exaggerated, watching Eddie’s eyes widen. “He cried like a baby the second that needle prickled his skin!”

“And look at you, taking everything I’m giving you like a champ,” You winked.

If only you knew the affect you had on him, Eddie’s entire face grew red at that, he would, without hesitation take anything you gave him.

He tried, so fucking hard not to think about it, but now his mind was filled with the images of you, sitting on his faze, your pretty cunt glistening as he lapped away at your juices.

He imagined those pretty manicured fingers discarding his hair, ruffling while those pretty little lips were hung open, chanting his name. Your whines and whimpers would fill the room as he begged for you to cum in his mouth. He wouldn’t stop until you smothered him.

He repeated it like a mantra in his head, and he was glad you were focusing on tattooing the cute sketch you made for him, and not his actual face that probably looked straight out of a horror movie.

“So—uh... c—cool shirt,” Eddie muttered, voice so low that he was surprised when you hummed back at him.

“Oh, yeah,” You muttered.

“You listen to Anthrax?” You asked with a beaming smile, gaze still focused on Eddie's arm.

Eddie huffed painfully but realized quickly that the nervousness of talking to you was overpowering the pain of the tattoo gun drilling into his skin.

“Are you kidding? Anthrax, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath... Megadeth! You name it I probably listen to it,” He hummed, and your eyes glimmered, causing Eddie's breath to hitch and his wavering nervousness to appear again. “Metal is my jam, baby!” He exclaimed, not too loud to disturb your tattooing process but loud enough to cause a giggle out of you.

Metal is my jam? Baby? Who the fuck says that?

Eddie was afraid to look into your eyes now, afraid to see the gaze everyone gives him.

Like he's an outsider like he's a freak.

But when he hears that pretty giggle of yours again, comfort takes over him, nervousness dissipating quickly when he sees the gentle look you give him.

Almost as if to let him know that you also love those bands. Almost as if to let him know that he wasn't an outsider because you were just like him.

“Dio?” You asked with a curious gaze, face beaming up when Eddie nodded furiously.

“Fuckin' love Dio,” He muttered, barely realizing the needle on his skin now, all thanks to you.

“Uhh—how did you even get that shirt?” Eddie asked, almost shyly, admiring the way you were neatly tattooing him.

“I wanted to go to that concert so badly but the tickets were sold out so quickly.” He added.

“Oh! I was Belladonna's groupie,” You muttered mindlessly, the pain as you prickled the needle was an afterthought to Eddie now, almost forgetting how to breathe, he coughed, quite loudly, causing you to look up at him and see the bewildered look on his face.

You stopped the machine when you chuckled lightly, "Oh, Eds!"

There it was, that nickname again, god you were dizzying his mind.

“I was just joking,” You smiled at him, and he wanted to melt, right then and there. "Needed to go a little bit deeper so I thought I'd distract you," You shrugged, and Eddie returned the smile.

He liked the feeling of having someone care about him, he liked talking to you, and he sure as hell enjoyed being with someone so similar to him—someone so fucking cool.

“Though I did go to that concert in 1987.” You could feel Eddie’s curious gaze on you

“My friend knew their manager,” You murmured again.

"Really?!? How was it?" He asked, face beaming again.

“So fucking cool.” You gushed as you started talking about their set list, how the first punch you ever threw was at that concert, and you enthusiastically animated Donais' guitar riff, earning a hearty chuckle from Eddie. He loved every bit of your story, listening attentively as your exaggerations enticed him more and more.

The longer you tattooed him, the more comfortable Eddie got, pain was no longer his main concern when all he wanted to do was make you laugh, hear that sweet giggle escaping from your lips, admire the way your eyes crinkle when you smile at him so sugary.

Minutes stretched into hours as you focused on his tattoo, each pass of the needle causing a smile on your face as the sketch you made became more intricate and alluring on his bare skin.

“All done!” You exclaimed with a smile when you finally finished tattooing him, a sigh of relief escaping your lips when the buzz of the machine was finally replaced with silence.

You couldn't help but trace every part of his face now, you wanted to see if he liked it, anxiety bubbling up in your stomach as you couldn't read Eddie's expressions.

“Oh my god,” Was all that left Eddie's lips, and your lips almost started to tremble.

Especially when your laugh seemed so mocking, almost different than the ones you gave him earlier before. Jogging deep into this memory of the countless times when Eddie tried to pluck up the courage to ask girls in his class out, only to be laughed in his face, or to have them insult him.

But this was more than that, it pained him.

It pained him to think that you thought of him like the others did. Like you saw him as an outsider, too.

His bubble of confidence that was already wavering was even quicker to fizzle out, he could feel that familiar lump in his throat, shoulders slumping as his gaze was quick to show his emotions.

He was hurt. And he was sure this hurt much more than a thousand needles breaking the barriers of his skin, “Uhhh,” He gave you a bitter chuckle. “Just.... never mind” He added, defeatedly turning back around to exit the shop once again as he ignored you calling out for him.

“Wait!” You yelled out after him, but Eddie started walking faster.

“Shit shit shit!” You cursed yourself for your little joke.

“Eds, please!” You called out again, this time effective enough to make Eddie stop in his tracks.

And drawing these gijinkas kinda gave me more flexibility and let me design people again even though I'll admit quite a few ideas are very common in gijinka's used in the fandom

all of these callbacks throughout the episode but the best, most important and evident one was the mere fact that they’re a team again. kicking ass, and simply leading each other because that’s what they’re the best at. before any of their romance began, they were trusted confidants who worked so well side by side, and in this episode we got to see and feel the satisfaction and elation of having that back again!!!!!

i felt like i was at a drive thru restaurant ordering the entire episode. can i get some flirting, with a side of ass kicking, and ummm let me get a side of poetic, confessional yearning from rick grimes. yeah, that’ll be all.

The story is at its peak right now, i reached up to the point where Muzan decided to heehee himself in the no-no place for him. (idk how to say this without spoiling)

ANYWAY -=-=- My headcanons: - Primarily a he/him, but being they/them'd doesn't bother him. - Looks to be somewhere in his mid twenties. Is actually a few millenia old. - Tall. Looks it, too: very lean and slim and it only exaggerates his air of being long. Probably 6'2, maybe 6'3. Noticably taller than Mare and likes to piss him off about it. - Mare's little brother. (by a handful of centuries) The type of brothers that would kill or die for each other, but also spend every waking moment at each other's throats and pissing each other off. - His voice is lower pitch than Nate's. Sort of how the song sounds in the slowed version, I think? Also has an inexplicable accent. Just a touch of southern drawl that gets stronger when he's tired or has Big Feelings. - Simultaneously fascinated by humans (for the little quirks and individualisms they have) and also couldn't care less for anything more than what power he can get from their souls. - Bit of a mean streak. Likes toying with people, and his favourite pastime aside from stealing souls is breaking hearts. - He's got a whole string of establishments. Music, drinks, low lights... the whole atmosphere being a little unsettling but somehow, you never want to leave. Sometimes he'll let Mare perform or help out working security. He'd never admit it, but half the reason for his little empire is so he could protect and provide for his brother if things went south. - Has a talent for finding budding artists of any kind - singers, songwriters, dancers, comedians, aerialists, anything of the sort, and giving them just enough taste of the limelight that it gets them hooked, then tricking them into signing away their souls. - Does have his own powerset, but most of what he can do comes from the souls he collects. The illusions and his skill at peeking into people's memories are his own thing, but the offensive capabilities are mainly the souls. Every new addition to the collection translates into some new kind of attack (i.e. a singer's soul might produce a sonic blast, artists might throw paint splashes, etc.) - Those stolen souls are completely under his control, ranging from translucent wraiths to solid beings but all bound to obey him. He sometimes stores them in the little glass spheres, like the one topping his cane, mostly reserved for his favourites. - He lives up to the nickname Phantom. HI WISHI!!!! im answering this one first because I've got more ideas for it ;^; I've been thinking about your questions for weeks and I've been trying to get some actual lore bit by bit.

I present to you!!! Morgen Deer :3 (reindeer actually but i like how just deer sounds) in all honesty i've got more ideas for her than humanoid!Rocky, but I'll be sure to do a follow up post for him when I get some ideas. Until then, let's talk about her!! Her story makes more sense in a universe in which they are both animal-like people.

If the outfit isnt too obvious already, she used to be a professional wrestler in this universe! A genetically modified reindeer with amplified strength - she isnt from the same lab as R.ocket's, so I suppose there were multiple space scientists experimenting on animals at the time😭 okay, hers were a bit more caring towards her but they still specifically made her for the entertainment industry. She is pretty feared by others, but not treated with enough respect due to her species. She first meets Rocky when he randomly attends one of her matches, out of curiosity - she was honestly pretty excited to see "someone like her" in the crowd of spectators, so she definitely tried to meet up with him after. Can't say they immediately formed a connection because Morgen was very socially awkward and Rocky's not exactly the most friendliest person either, but they had respect for one another and knew they could count on eachother if there was any need for that.

After some time, Morgen started to get really sick of being a wrestler and not being treated properly and she wanted to find an opportunity to run away!! There was one incident in which she stopped a fight between Rocky and some other person, getting her antler ripped apart in the process. That was her call to start a new life and she ran away with her raccoon friend, who promised he'll fix her antler as thanks for standing up for him. He wasn't very keen on the idea on having a companion (this was before he meet G.root) but he warmed up to her and they stuck together, as they met all of their other friends !! Once again, it took them until after IW to admit their feelings for eachother because they are dumb and scared. It's not like everyone already thought they were together because "hmm if this guy is a furry and this girl is also a furry then they must be a couple!!1!"

ok thats all i have because im burnt out on ideas. humanoid/zteamer person r.ocket is just an emo catboy(raccoon boy?) to be honest. and i think he's super silly and a cutie pie and he still bites people's arms and steps on their feet because he's a short king full of anger
