Pumpkin Knight Idia is one of my defaults even not around Halloween!! Unsurprisingly as sawluvr199x and my love for horror as a whole, I’ve grown up with Halloween being my family’s biggest holiday of the year. I think it suits her and also her gushing about 80s horror in the vignette made me Feel Things.

My self insert actually isn’t Yuu, but a Pomefiore student!! I mentioned a day or two ago that I didn’t really like Yuu as a character at all until I read Octa manga and used Yuuta as my Yuu. That being said, he seems way too nice to ban anyone and would inversely invite them in for a meal LMAO.

As for me, Drac Draconia Octahyde… well Grim is part of the deal so I can’t ban him. Probably Rook. He isn’t my least favorite character and I actually like how absolutely fucking insane he is. But also I do not want him anywhere near me because of how fucking insane he is. My qpp has had nightmares of walking through the city at night and a bus passes him and Rook is in the back window. Staring straight at him. Standing and unmoving. We’re both really obsessed with it.

OHHH IDIA… MY WONDERFUL EMO WIFE. There are a LOT of songs I connect to her (I literally had an idea for an entire series of 17 pieces based on her and every single Black Parade song.)

I think my biggest one is ironically not an MCR song. So Much for Stardust by FOB is a song I very very deeply relate to, and I feel like it really captures her grief with the death of Phantom Ortho.

Another big one is Cemetery Drive by MCR, again one I deeply relate to and one that definitely encompasses Idia’s grieving.

Also like, I can’t NOT post Black Parade songs after mentioning it, so I’ll say This Is How I Disappear because of how encompassing it is of despair and loss, and also Kill All Your Friends because it’s about the anger and isolation when you have CTPSD and nobody around you understands. Also it’s my favorite song on the album when I’m forced to pick one and it goes so fucking hard.

Alright, my brave little story aside, I am very happy that you enjoyed our Floyd/Idia hcs, Anon! And even though it was ages ago, I hope you’re still here to read the Jade/Idia ones that I came here to offer you…

(Damn it’s been a while since we posted anything Jadidi-related! Poor Jade :( )

I feel like I’ve said this one in some other post, but still: Idia genuinely likes Jade. He is still terrified of him, yes, and he doesn’t trust him at all, because he knows better than to trust anyone from Octavinelle, but that Harveston experience has taught him a lot. When in social situations and when Ortho isn’t around, Idia’s go-to is to either die all by himself or to cling to the most shady and misanthropic person. Usually it’s Azul, but Jade fits the mold surprisingly well. Idia didn’t expect to be comfortable (well sort of) around him, but here we are.

Jade enjoys being around Idia as well, and even though they don’t talk to each other very often, they have their little chats every now and then, and it’s usually quite a lovely experience… until Jade decides that it’s way too lovely and does or says something to freak Idia out. He really enjoys teasing him (and scaring him), so it’s like one minute they are friends, and then he acts like he is hungrily circling around a squid that he is about to bite.

Jade has Idia’s phone number. He asked for it at the end of the Harveston event, and even though Idia was very hesitant, at that moment he thought that this wasn’t that bad of an idea; so now Jade is one of the few people who knows Idia’s phone number.

He didn’t even need to ask btw, he could’ve asked Azul about it or even figured it out by himself (wink), but he really wanted to act like a cute kohai that really wants to keep in touch with his senpai that he had bonded with so much.

They do text each other sometimes: for the most part Jade just sends Idia some pictures of plants and mushrooms (usually the ones that they talked about in Harveston – something that Idia asked him about because there was that one plant from his favourite anime). He also sends him any bad pictures of Azul that he has, and Idia always giggles at these.

Idia giggles (very cutely!) because of Jade surprisingly a lot. Jade’s snarky little comments always hit the right spot for Idia, especially when Jade is mocking someone (usually it’s Azul…)

They also talk about anime sometimes. Jade did watch that one kelkkarotu inspired anime that Idia really likes and rather enjoyed it. And Idia almost cried because of excitement – he knew Jade-shi would get it! After that he gave Jade way too many anime recommendations… Jade has very little free time, but he still watches things from that list from time to time. Idia always waits for his reviews desperately…

One time Jade asked Idia to come and hang out with him at the lounge after working hours, and Idia initially freaked out and didn’t want to go. The fact that he called him at like 9 P.M. should have made everything better, since there are no people there, but it somehow made it worse. It’s way too shady! Does Jade-shi want to kill him? Or even worse – is he doing to do something r- romant- eeek??

The idea that there is some romantic chemistry between them occurs to Idia from time to time. He tries not to think about it though, or to rationalize it by saying to himself that he is just being paranoid, that Jade doesn’t seem into any type of relationship in general, or that Jade wouldn’t be into him at all. Or that he probably plays too many vns, and just talking to a guy from time to time doesn’t mean that they are getting anywhere.

But they are. They really are. Jade is perfectly aware that Idia is tormented by this dilemma and that he likes Jade’s attention, and he really likes it when Idia looks at him with his surprised, confused, but also sweetly desperate eyes. He could have easily made the first move, but confusing Idia and making him obsessed with this idea is much more fun. So he’ll play with him some more~

Idia Shroud

Becoming friends with Idia is a task in of itself, so meeting him through Ortho, also a cyborg and determined to get his brother to make friends, drags you to Ignihyde.

He’s careful with you at first, as much as he’s interested because of your robotic features, you’re still sentient and still have thoughts so Idia’s still.. Wary of you

Building up your friendship, Idia is quick to realize that you don’t actually feel emotion, even if you do that awkward fake smile you do that only screams “i haven’t had any emotional contact in years”

He does later realize he likes you, but buries it due to the fact that, well.. You can’t actually feel, and Idia doesn’t really want to confess first (that and the fact, yknow, YOU CAN’T FEEL LOVE)

Throughout the day, you’d seemed quieter than normal, you’d been staring at Idia with your unblinking eyes and he wouldn’t dare to guess what you were thinking about with your neutral face. All day, Idia could feel your eyes burning holes into him, and he doesn’t know whether to be scared or intrigued. At the end of the day, you two had gone to his room, per your usual routine, and you lied on his bed to think.

“You’re the only person who’d pull these emotions out from me, it hurts and.. it’s worrying.. What did you do to me?”

The day you had finally decided to pull him aside though, Idia couldn’t really compare you to anything other than a confused puppy. You sounded concerned (at least the words you used did anyways). Idia listened to your speech, your concern, tuning out everything but your words in surprise and hope.

Idia holds his breath because he’s almost sure this is a dream, and he’d hate to move wrong and wake up, but he knows he needs to answer. Dream or not.

In all honestly though, he’d hate answering this, even if he knows exactly what emotion you’re feeling, what if he’s actually wrong and one kr both of you end up resenting him..?

In the end, if he chooses to explain about what he thinks you’re feeling, you only continue to look at him but with a slightly more familiar and heartwarming twinkle in your eye

Deuce Spade

It’s not hard to be friends with Deuce, not particularly easy either, maybe he’ll come up to you to ask about your robotic nature and to ask if you actually need to eat, maybe it’ll be Ace to introduce you because Deuce was intimidated.

Deuce isn’t awkward or anything, and as much as he doesn’t understand it, he’d be super curious to know how being a cyborg works in everyday life for you, so it’s a motivation to suck up how “scary” you are

Eventually, you become a regular (dare i say frequent) part of Deuce’s life, it might’ve him a bit to realize, as a robotic being, you didn’t exactly feel anything

including love

knowing that, he wouldn’t confess due to not wanting to force you, but he still admired and loved you regardless

You were crying, although you didn’t show much reaction, the raise of your eyebrows and parting of yours lips gave away just how shocked you were.

“I-I don’t know what’s happening, to me? Anytime I’m around you- Goddamnit, what are you doing to me? I’m not meant to feel.”

Deuce, as shocked and happy as he was, didn’t know what to say. Did he comfort you? Did you want his comfort, or was he just supposed to give you an explanation for what you felt?

He didn’t know why you felt it, Deuce was glad you did and was definitely bouncing on the inside, but what was he supposed to do when you were so scared of the new feeling that was so normal to him?

Deuce is happy, he feels like crying himself because of how lucky he is, he’s happy that you did what he probably wouldn’t have had done

Kalim Al-Asim

Kalim, being ever the extrovert, was happy to meet you! He faltered at your slightly monotone exterior (and interior, apparently) but that didn’t last long as he invited you to the next party he was throwing

Kalim knows you can’t feel, but that doesn’t process in his head because he can feel, how can someone live without doing so?

You never had made sense to Kalim, but that’s what the attraction started with, curiosity and the want to understand

You’d quiet, ignoring Kalim for most the day in contemplation, and he wasn’t going to lie, he was kind of hurt and wanted to ask why you���d been talking to everyone but him.

Later, you’d finally, finally, talked to him, Kalim visibly brightened up. The look of happiness slowly faded to shock as you told and ranted to him, about him.

“How did you become so significant to me?”

You’d never know how much Kalim loved you at that moment, he’d love to here those words on repeat and nothing else. He was more excited and happy than anyone could guess, all he wanted to do was hug you.

Kalim is restless with his happiness, and cannot wait to see where this leads you in your relationship.

Twisted Wonderland Reaction Part 15 ~ THIS IS NOT A GODDAMN OTOME GAME Edition

Welp, after a long work week/weekend, I finally finished reading the first part of the Phantom Bride event! This was actually one of 4 twst events I hadn’t previously read ahead, the others being Vargas Camp, Endless Halloween Night and that Epel-centric one JP got back in winter. I tried reading it afew months back, but 30 seconds in I was jumped by 4 of the twst boys proposing to me (ROOK INCLUDED) and I immediately noped out and spent the remainder of the night screaming into my pillow. Soooooo...yeah...

But I’m really loving it so far, Eliza is the worst and everyone is being petty af and it’s awesome! Warning: Pic heavy, violence, swearing, simping (A LOT OF SIMPING), twst boys trying and failing to be smooth, references to my ocs and some Idia slander. LET’S GET IT!

It’s going to take some PROFOUNDLY deep and tragic shit in Book 6 for me to think differently of him but as of now, nah I can’t with him, especially since I know ppl like him irl and they are actually the worst.

- You know back in the day I didn’t know much about these two but the more I got into twst, the more I got interested in their relationship as brothers. Like think with me here, Ortho was literally a robot and Idia is a shut in, who wouldn’t be curious about it. BUT GODDAMN I GOT HUMBLED SO HARD READING THE CHAPTER 6 TRANSLATIONS. LIKE I ALREADY HAD A FELLING ORTHO WAS DEAD BASED ON HIS FIRST BIRTHDAY VIGNETTE (where Floyd gave Ortho sneakers (I do remember it was shoes but please correct me if I’m wrong here) and Ortho hung it up and someone pointed it like “hey did you know that what Ortho is doing implies that he’s dead”) but to have it hit you in the face was so 😭 LIKE IDIA IS LITERALLY THE BEST BRO YOU CAN ASK FOR WAAAAA. LIKE HE REGRETTED WHAT HAPPENED TO ORTHO SO BAD TO THE POINT HE MADE HIM AGAIN WHICH IS JUST 😀🔫 but he knows that Robot Ortho is not his actual brother anymore which just hits me to the feels

- I’m dying to see a lot of action with everyone in the first year, since it’s now revealed that Ortho is joining the first years now all we lack is Sebek and fthe first years will be complete. I want to see the action, the chaos and everything in between

- Ngl but there isn’t much with the third years where everyone is together so I’m kinda expecting to see a lot more, especially the third year anthology cover hasn’t been released yet

Pomefiore

- Look I know I said Chapter 5 was boring but when you read Chapter 6 you get to see a lot of Pomefiore together, and they kinda started to grow on me. Like how Rook and Epel really went to STYX to get Vil and the others back and now that Vil got what he really wanted (to be the “hero” that stands at the very stage), it was really nice honestly

Heartslabyul Gang 

- Definitely love their brotherly relationship that I see in a lot of fanfics, it’s really fluffy honestly (also read as: I love seeing Mama Trey suffer handling his 3 children while Cater is just there taking pics)

Diasomnia Found Family (well they boutta become the unfound family real fast when Chapter 7 arrives)

- Ok so it’s kind of obvious I’m a Diasomnia stan but I just gotta love everyone’s relationship despite how dysfunctional it is (I literally envy Lilia and Silver’s relationship as Father and Son cuz I don’t have that type of relationship with my own dad 😔👊). But overall tho, I am so not ready for the amount of angst that’s gonna come when Chapter 7 get released. Especially when they appeared during the end of Chapter 6 it wasn’t some sinister evil scene you’ve been seeing for the past 6 chapters, instead they looked like a normal family and then Malleus starts talking about how fragile human life is. Knowing how Malleus (and Lilia but I’m not even sure if peepaw is gonna survive at this rate) will literally outlive everyone, he’s too scared to say goodbye so what I’m thinking is that Chapter 7 will tackle a lot of deep topics that will most likely send me to a crying fit and it would also make sense that Ignihyde is there to help us yknow. Literally we have Malleus who will most likely be the one to OB, Lilia who’s slowly dying, and Silver who has his sleeping curse and was seen by MF MICKEY MOUSE in the other side of the mirror, implying that Silver might be unconsciously traveling in his dreams (and that he is important in Chapter 7, he might be from our world too who knows 🤷‍♀️). Sebek is (surprisingly) the only normal guy in Diasomnia but that scares me as well since the guy also has his own issues in terms of his own identity (his half fae half human crisis) and trying to find his purpose and where he belongs, and knowing that he might become the voice of reason (literally with his loud ass voice), get his ass humbled so hard or he’ll rebel and join the first years. Chapter 7 has set the bar high for me, it can literally go on any direction at this rate and I’m not ready for this rollercoaster shitshow

It took me a long time to post this since it was the last month of school for me (which meant exams and the overwhelming amount of work I need to do) and now it’s summer break ( I AM FREE AHAHAHAHAHA ), I’m also going to be moving up soon on June, that means I’m going to be in the 11th Grade now. TW chapters before, have always been social and psychological, but chapter 5 in particular is a huge middle finger to stereotype-and common beliefs/views of stereotypes. 

Many assumes Vil’s backstory involved him being poor, but Kalim already proves just because you’re rich doesn’t mean your life have no problem. And before the chapter starts, many people antagonize Vil for he is harsh towards Epel, and he’s the prettily elegant one, “the mean girl”, in haters’ words, when Leona and Idia, who are objectively bigger jerks, who are understandably more disliked in-universe, get passed in the fandom for they are relatable/more masculine/boyish. Yes, ugly people have their own problem. That doesn’t mean pretty people don’t have their problem, ranging from being harassed, prejudiced as superficial or being bitch, etc.

Media and culture, for years, have been painting masculinity as strength and femininity as weakness, lawful is bad and chaotic is good, the beautiful/elegant people is wrong and the cute ones are innocent/on the right side. 

Riddle already have it bad for he is lawful, but Vil has it worse for he is not only lawful, but also being feminine and pretty. Not to say we have to be unreasonably lawful like Riddle or super strict like Vil, what’s I’m trying to say is, the mindset of law and femininity is purely bad and chaos and masculinity is purely good is wrong-though,  generally “pure” mindset is wrong. 

Related to this, TW actually run on gray morality, not black and white. You’re too black and you get hated (like Leona and Idia) , but if you’re too white you get laughed (like Deuce, Jack, Kalim) And it’s fine. Everyone can be both wrong and right in different times , and that’s how it is in real life too. Nobody is pure evil nor they are pure good . Purity  (in concept and principle)is never good actually.

Many people are rooting for Epel for the points above, for he is both chaotic and want to be masculine, and antagonize the pretty, lawful and feminine Vil, but overtime fandom are proven to be wrong. Pome chapter is huge callout for  the stereotyping mindset, as well, the previous points. What Epel wants isn’t “for people to look past his looks”, it’s “to be as masculine as possible in both looks and personality” . He is not fighting prejudice, he is simply giving in to the idea of toxic masculinity. He doesn’t want people to think he’s a badass despite his look, he want to be beefy so ppl can tell he’s a badass in first glance.  His idea of masculinity is to talk shit to people , be beefy as possible, to pick fights and only fight with fists. He is projecting the idea of masculinity to Jack, like how he says he wants to be beefy as Jack. It’s like when girls using a model, or basically someone else, to be her base of ideal beauty, which is equally unhealthy. It’s not fine even if it’s boys who do it, as it’s still not accepting who you actually are. 

Speaking about Jack, he too is a victim of prejudice. In his robe story, Ace is surprised he’s from Pyroxene and not the Savannah., implying the prejudice beastmen only come from the savannah (and gladly Riddle immediately calls Ace out for it),  in his voice lines, he is offended by  Ruggie’s disbelief reaction when he says he never got red mark in exams, and he is also offended when MC is shocked he says he want to go to the library, implying the prejudice “beefy men must be brainless muscle”. Jack, is still proud of his beastmen heritage and is sporty and active, but he is also fighting prejudice of beefy men are dumbasses by studying as hard as he does his physical exercises. 

We are also fed by culture and media that the word “ugly” and “beautiful” is limited to just visual things, when Pomefiore, Rook and Vil makes it clear “beauty” is everything that can be your advantage/power or your every good trait (like being unyielding, having bond and understanding others, and having special code of conduct). Which it means, the opposite also applies-that the word “ugly”  Vil mentioned to himself before his overblot is more referring to his other traits. That he finally cheats, that he is weak and gives in to his stress-if he thinks strength is beautiful then he must thought weakness is ugly. 

Not to say looks doesn’t matter, because it is, as we humans are visual creatures, and if visuals don’t matter, we don’t only wouldn’t have fashion or beauty care products, or visual arts, but even visual informations like newspapers, books, or even socmed pages, and fashion can be a form of self expression. The problem is when people don’t use their brain and see past through someone’s looks. Looks is part of one’s identity, but it’s not all there is to them.

Riddle paints himself as the judge and executioner, not only establishing law of the Queen of Hearts but also punishes people who crossed her rules on the place with his UM and decapitating them from their magic. Vil, meanwhile, paints himself as a tutor. He’s strict, but he’s not lawful for the sake of law. He seeks to help people grow, to taught people things, but being strict teacher he is, he refuses to teach in first go, letting you try your own method first (Deuce’s lab coat story),or that  when he agrees to help, he will teach you how to do it instead of doing it and gives you the final result (Jamil’s dorm uniform) . He is explicitly nicer to people who are willing to learn (his own Halloween card) Alternatively, he can be pestered to help (Halloween, Malleus pretty much pestering him with the whole western dragon vs eastern dragon difference for one hour ), or,despite all his complaints, he will help anyway (Ghost Marriage, Vil mentions Idia often asks for his help) . He also congratulates ppl who did grow well, even if they did beat him. (fairy gala ending, Epel when finally admitting cuteness is advantage too, Deuce right after he beats him) ,  he is fine with people hating him as long they actually develop themselves-that he thinks his responsibility is to help ppl grow, not to make ppl simply adore him (his own dorm uniform)And he also breaks the pattern of great seven incarnate harassing MC and gets gradually more hostile about it. He can also appreciate other’s kindness (his own robe story), as well strong point (PE voice line, he openly admits Epel’s strong point in flying), and can even show some sympathy (not empathy ) (Ortho’s ceremony gear)

Leona insults others to feed his superiority inferiority complex and knows where it hurt (like calling Riddle Red Midget or bastard octopus to Azul-note, that was the insult Azul used on himself on his self deprecating moment after his overblot) , Vil insults other as the ones he deems unworthy yet to call with name, but potatoes, French for potatoes is “earth’s apple”, also back in the day ppl are scared to eat potatoes bc they are still related to nightshade/belladonna and said to be devil’s plant , only after they get past the prejudice they eat potatoes. So yeah if he call you by name , it means he already acknowledge you to certain degree, and if he still uses vegetables he’s still deems you unworthy-no romantic hc blogs it’s not what he will call his s/o

Fandom complained, “save Epel, he doesn’t fit in Pomefiore, and he’s stuck” but is he? He did , in fact, have a choice, mentioned in Jade’s dorm uniform by Vil “You know how to change dorms, right Epel?” It’s by his  own admission he stays in Pomefiore bc his pride to prove Vil wrong that “cute isn’t a strength on its own”  Besides, Pome isn’t just about being yourself (despite being art neurodivergent and defying gender norms), it’s also not about picking your fight-instead, it’s about picking the method.

Again, we are fed to the idea femininity is weak by other media and culture. In TW,yes,  Vil is obectively the most feminine of TW cast, but weak? Definitely not.He can beat the beefy guys physically (PE uniform voice line), easily, and magically, he is strong enough to be able to make barrier than can protect people from MALLEUS (Cater halloween) , and when he’s overblot, he is the only one so far you failed to beat until Deuce used the counterattack using his own magic. Kalim isn’t joking or is in the clouds when he says Vil is one of the strongest mage of the school.

Yes, Yana says fuck patterns and stereotypes, but it’s not like she pulls plot twists randomly out of her ass.She always put foreshadowings first. Vil being bullying victim already mentioned as early as his robe story,, that the overblot cause is always something that is already problem to them even BEFORE NRC-Epel was able to curb people before NRC and get away with being a jerk, it wasn’t until Vil beat him in opening day that he started to be stressed about the whole manner thing.  that he doesn’t like things that doesn’t last from his school uniform, and the previous mentions of Vil’s tutor traits above that he’s not as malicious , not just the mean girl fandom make him to be. Chapter titles always refer to the local great seven incarnate, not specifically the prefect. “Desert’s Tactician” is clearly Jamil, not Kalim.Being a strategist is certainly not Kalim’s trait. Chapter title not referring to him, he wasn’t stressed before NRC, and the blot dripping scene happes without him, why the surprise it’s not Epel who overblot ? the build up is all there.

You moved your hands from your cheeks, using them to support yourself against the spare bed’s frame while you tried to make sense of what happened. There were troupes in Idia’s anime and games where their younger siblings got involved in their older sibling’s love life, but it was usually to stop the MC getting romantically involved with said older sibling, not encourage it! On top of that, Ortho’s choice of words to ask you to be his ‘sibling-in-law’... surely he knew what he said, right? Or would it be better if he didn’t? Even if your heart was even ready to comprehend Idia waiting for you in a tuxedo, you doubt his encounter with Eliza had left him wishing for early marriage.

Sighing, you push yourself off the bed frame and shake your head to get a hold of yourself. That shouldn’t be the part you were focusing on - right now, what you needed to think of was how you were going to confess.

...yeah, you couldn’t even think that with a straight face.

Why did love have to be so hard...? It was easy for the love interests in an otome game to just... say whatever they were thinking! Wait, but in some games it was the MC who confessed and had to hope the love interest’s stat was high enough... so, which one were you!? Love interest or protagonist!?

“Wait, maybe don’t compare yourself to a piece of code...” You quietly reprimand yourself, massaging the bridge of your nose. “Just... how can you confess in a way that isn’t going to completely scare off Idia...? Yeah, that’s probably impossible.”

Still, you couldn’t let that deter you. Ortho may have already alerted his brother and he was on his way over, probably completely oblivious to what the younger Shroud had planned. That meant you might have less time than you thought. 

You quickly whipped out your phone and typed in ‘confession advice’. Surely there’d be one or two sites with help outside the usual be yourself stuff, right...?

“Um... (y/n)?”

Idia’s hesitant voice makes you jump out of your skin, turning around to see him standing awkwardly in the spare room’s doorway. You also lost your grip on your phone and it fell to the floor before you had a chance to even glance at the suggestions.

“O-Oh! Idia! I didn’t think you be here so soon!” You laugh half-heartedly.

Idia’s hands fly up to his chest, his expression turning into panic. “E-Eh!? W-W-Was I too fast!?”

“It’s okay! It’s fine!” You tell him, hoping he would relax. Though the fact you weren’t facing might not have helped too much. You just really needed to look at that advice! You’d take anything at this point!

Idia frowned at your behaviour, dropping his arms to his side as he watched you scoot across the floor. He was starting to regret coming over so fast - Ortho had told him you’d had something important to talk to him about and hurried over, worried that something serious had happened. It had not crossed his mind once that he would be lucky enough to have maxed out your metre high enough to reach your confession ending. No way. Not once. No way a gross otaku like him would even dare to think he’d have a chance with someone like you.

His worry only grew at seeing you get more and more frantic while searching for this unknown item. Idia looked across the floor and noticed a small light peaking out from the spare bed. Curious, he kneels down and stretches out to grab it, only being noticed by you at the last second.

Everything seemed to slow down once you realized your phone was still on. “Wait, don’t look...!”

Sadly, your words proved futile, as when they were spoken Idia’s eye’s registered the words on the screen. Not even a second later, his hair turned into raging red flames, not helping your panic at all.

“Idia! Calm down!” You tell him, though it came out more like a question than a command due to your frantic nature. “I-I can explain!”

“T-T-T-This has to be for some sort of g-g-game, right!?” Idia tries to rationalize, pointing between you and your phone. “D-D-Did you want advice for s-some s-super hard game or something!? Haha, you didn’t have to call me all the way out here for t-that...!”

“W... Well, not... exactly...?” You explain hesitantly, trying not to scare him any further. “If I wanted to beat a game, I’d just search up a guide...”

“S-So, what’s this for...?” Idia asks, only slightly calmer as his curiosity took over.

You bite your lip, unable to look Idia in the eye for more than a moment, though you tried your hardest to keep looking in his general area. “...I like you, Idia. Not just platonic. Also romantic.”

You treasured those precious seconds before Idia’s hair burned even bright. A worry about if your phone was melting would have crossed your mind if it wasn’t occupied by thoughts of what Idia’s answer would be. His prolonged silence was not helping in the slightest.

“Y-Y-Y-You m-m-mean it...?” He searched for a confirmation, voice cracking at every possible opportunity.

You slowly nodded, your heart racing too hard for your brain can function your words. Idia went back to his silence as he handed you back your phone, lips quavering as he struggled to summon up a simple one-word answer.

“T-There’s a movie. That we can see this weekend.” You tried to suggest, hoping it would help the situation even the smallest bit. “I can’t remember the name, but it’s something you’d like...”

Idia hummed, cleared out his throat and then nodded. “Yeah... yeah. I’d like that. A lot.”

The two of you stayed in an awed silence before you felt a surge of courage go through you. You couldn’t get any more embarrassed over how this confession was going anymore, right?

You walked up to Idia, who instinctively flinched. Determined not to be deterred, you measure yourself to his height and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before smiling warmly.

“Want to head back to your room and start planning?” You offer once you realize Idia’s muteness wasn’t going to go away anytime soon. Judging by his facial expression anyway.

Idia could only nod in response and follow, eyes wide, as you took him by the hand and guided him back to his own room. He really had gotten high enough on your metre to reach the confession ending...! Was this actually real...!?

Hidden away, Ortho rejoiced, throwing his arms up in triumph as he sent a silent congratulations to his brother.

Ooooh, this is a fun ask~

Riddle was my very first bias before Twst came out. I think I said my reasons as to why quite often enough here. 😆 But if you don’t know, it’s because at the time, my main bias was Jonah Clemence from Ikemen Revolution, he’s the Queen of Hearts, and his VA is Natsuki Hanae, two things Riddle also has. Right now, however, he’s my second favorite! I really like his disciplined self and his drive to improve himself so he can make his dorm a better place to live in. He also has good moral conduct, something that I like about him.

Leona is actually my second least favorite. :/ He used to be my least favorite, but Malleus took his spot and now he ascended. I never found his looks personally appealing, though I can say he is hot and his eyes look beautiful. It may be funny to say this because Azul is haughty, but I don’t like Leona’s arrogance. The thing is that he always lazes around and doesn’t lift a finger to do anything. Probably it’s because it’s me seeing my worst traits of myself in him, but I just don’t like him. He can also be a bully, something that I really don’t like about him. Have you seen how he was with Azul in chapter 3?

Kalim is someone I like! I love seeing his smile grace my screen and listening to his cheerful voice. Reading incorrect quotes and short fics where he’s seen in makes me smile because he’s just so cute. 🥺 But I love reading the analyses on him the most because I really want to know more about Kalim than just the sunshine front he has. He’s such a kind individual and I love that.

Vil is someone who has the title of being my only bias wrecker. He climbed to my top 5 without me realizing it until I took a bias sorter test. Honestly, Vil has the most Jonah Clemence-esque personality for me, which is a big factor as to why I like him. Vil sticks to his morals no matter what (well... until Neige happened, but upon realizing it, he felt so guilty), and he always strives to do his best. He was bullied in the past because people called him a villain, and his whole sentiment with wanting to stand on stage until the end resonates with me because don’t we all want to be the main hero sometimes? Seeing his character being misunderstood by many saddens me because his actual character is so beautiful.

Ok but Vil loves me for some reason. He’s my most frequent visitor in logins and his Halloween SSR came home to me when I only wanted Azul dupes lmao

Idia is in my bottom three, mainly because he’s rude. When he called everyone failures for not being able to free him in Ghost Marriage, I was heavily turned off by him. Who has the right to be so rude?? It also doesn’t help that he’s a shut-in who only plays video games, though it seems like he has reasons why. Nevertheless, I do like playing video games but I don’t want to constantly be a shut-in. He has his good points, though! He’s actually a nice brother to Ortho, which is so cute. 😭 He also has a lot of lore potential right now, and I wish more people talked about him in theories.

Malleus... he’s my least favorite not because of personal preferences but because of the fandom. He was kinda neutral for me back then but when people started calling Malyuu canon, whether directly or indirectly, it really pissed me off so much that he quickly climbed down my list. Malleus and Yuu can have a friendship that doesn’t have to be seen in a romantic light. This isn’t an otome game. You can tell me you’re joking if you were to joke that Malleus didn’t get the memo that Twst isn’t an otome, but I won’t be able to tell especially if I don’t know you. And then when the fourth part of chapter 5 came out, nobody cared about Vil’s OB or backstory. Everyone just flocked to Malleus and raved about him, and it personally upsetted me because this isn’t his chapter. I understand being really happy over your fav’s cameo, I really do, but when it overshadowed the main characters, it gets upsetting and it seems like nobody read anything.

All my salt on this reached to a point where I cannot talk about anything regarding Malleus, even theories. The only time I don’t mind interacting with Malleus content is when it comes to JP fanart or if someone suggested a really really interesting theory involving him that piques my interest. But aside from that, if you send me an ask about Malleus... well, I don’t mind listening to you guys rot over him, but in regards to questions, I will be slow in answering them. And if you know me well, I may not sound pleasant. 😔

Is also into sewing.  He even made two fake Savanaclaw uniforms so he and Epel can hang out with Jack and Ruggie without raising suspicion (thank you @twistedwonderlandimagines for making that headcanon into something more sensible).

Is best friends with Ortho, regularly going over to Ignihyde to play games with him.  It helps.

What’s not helping is Leona being very controlling of him, partially because he’s projecting his ideas and dreams onto the poor kid and partially because he’s not ready to be a parent by any account.

He will not be able to attend Night Raven Collage properly, for some reason.  Apparently it has something to do with the Mirror.

Has made special arrangement with Crowley for this.  He specifically asked to be in Scarabia because he thought that’s where Richard would end up.

Isn’t a particularly subtle person to begin with, but as Richard, he goes FULL HAM!

Like, full on evil laughter levels of ham.

Doesn’t really get pop culture.  Whenever a student calls him out on it, he claims it’s “beneath him.”

Jamil hates him, due to perceiving him as attempting to replace him Vice Dormhead.  Barry, for his part, didn’t intend to come off like that, but decided that it was in-character and went with it.

By day, he’s just the barista at the Mostro Lounge.  But by night, he’s Neo Robin Hood, the infamous vigilante taking down corrupt corporations one-by-one.

Has had more than his fair share of near-death encounters.  As a result, nothing phases him.  Nothing.  Not even the Chaos Trio on Karaoke Night.

Is often seen sneaking sips of coffee on-duty.  He’s typically looks so tired that everyone let’s him get away with it.

Takes time out of his vigilante schedule to fulfill some of the requests he overhears at the Mostro Lounge.   Azul suspects he might be doing this, but doesn’t know how and can’t be bothered to look into it.

Know about Barry is looking for him, but since he hasn’t figured out the constantly tired fox who tends to go missing at night is probably Neo Robin Hood yet, he’s not too concerned.

Exactly! Epel surely complains a whole lot for someone who’s been disciplined by this scary woman for his entire life lol

I think it’s also due to the fact that there aren’t any girls around his age (or any other kids) in Harveston, so ma and meemaw, as well as the rest of the women in the village feel as if they’re not quite the same thing as girls. Of course he knows that they are, but I feel like he still has this “yeah but this is different” idea in his head lol Which is kind of stupid, but Epel is still figuring things out so…

I took some time to think about it, Anon, and I’m sorry to give you a disappointing answer: I can’t think of anyone who could be interested in Trein like that… Maybe we just haven’t seen them interact enough. But still, have three boys with the best potential when it comes to this:

Azul, because he wants to be the teacher’s pet very badly, and pretty much always has his tongue up Trein’s ass (metaphorically), but neither of them would see this as sexual or romantic. Azul wants to be the best because he is the best academically! Earned favouritism only!

Ortho, because he gets to hang out with Trein when Idia is taking tests! I don’t remember where we got this fact from, but it’s cute lol But then again, it isn’t either romantic or sexual thing…

With that in mind, heres a few more ideas I have 🥰

• With Malleus, it makes sense why he's interested. Ortho is a freak of nature to him!!! He'll get used to treating him like any other student, but then Ortho keeps doing the most strange and bizarre things, like he can just pull off his arms and legs as though it's nothing! He tries to think of it as though it's some kind of magic, but I imagine if he ever voiced that, Ortho would be like "oh, no, I can't use magic at all," and go into a long tangent about how it works and just perplex Malleus even more

• Why Ortho would be interested is a whole other can of worms. He does have a base level of curiosity for everyone, and that would apply to Malleus too, but is there anything more than that 🤔 if Malleus were actively pursuing him, I bet he would think his chances are certain that Ortho will reciprocate because he is an extremely powerful prince. Whatever reasons Ortho has for entertaining Malleus, I definitely don't think it will be what he expected. Probably because he's a bit of a loser... like his brother <3

• Holding my breath for book 7, but assuming nothing major happens between Ortho and Malleus (unlikely) then I actually think they will only consider each other seriously way after their days at NRC. They might have a fling while they're in college, sure, a bit of a flirt and tease and maybe a fuck or two if the mood is right, but there's so many other interesting boys here to see and do!! I think it will only be centuries later when they've both gotten tired of losing loved ones that they seek each other out, for the comfort more than the curiosity. They would tease each other for it, but I don't think either of them actually want to be left alone

• Malleus eventually learning to be a pillow princess and just sit there and starfish out while Ortho does his thing would be funny 😭 he likes to toy around, and Ortho seems to enjoy it when he plays with his motherboard, but... after enough times getting smoke and explosions directly to the face because he pressed the wrong button or pulled the wrong wire, he's unfortunately told to cool it 😔 honestly, he's lucky if he hasn't permanently damaged his core!!

Anon! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us again. Yeah, I can imagine how little Ortho-related stuff there is on Ao3, let alone stuff about him and Malleus, so we’re truly on a rareship territory here lol

I like the first two things that you’ve said because yeah, the mutual interest they would have for each other is a very nice fuel for their ship. Both of them are so curious, and quite experimental, so they’d have a lot to show each other and to talk about.

Oh my god the last one, Malleus don’t touch anything, you’ll just fry him again! Mister “I break every phone Lilia gives me” absolutely should not play around with Ortho’s motherboard… lol but it’ll still be a thrill for them, at least until it gets dangerous and Malleus is prohibited from touching anything ever again. But it’s okay, because Ortho is perfect at handling pillow princesses…
