Oh and they also like to control what you wear. Elaborate regal clothing is their favorite, especially with a huge headpiece. Your schedule is also controlled throughout the day. They have everything perfectly balanced to fairly share you and to take shifts protecting your castle. Occasionally though, some will get into fights with each other when one is a bit more needy and tries to hog up your time. The most sought-after time though is when you're either getting ready in the morning or settling down in the evening. A lot of the fans replace Dick with Bruce in terms of who is Damian’s father. Idek but it gets annoying when it’s all “oh Bruce may be Damian’s father, but dick is his dad”

I go back and forth on it, tbh. Damian needed a dad, but he was a surprise to Bruce. Dick handled it much better than Bruce did for a while, but Bruce eventually came around (depending on the canon). A lot of siblings raise their younger family members in the absence of a parent, so it makes sense that Damian would be drawn to Dick as a more grounded and sympathetic parental figure. And that Dick would be able to connect with Damian more easily than Bruce, who was still reeling from the shock of finding out Talia lied.

But does that make Dick his dad? I don’t know. It’s kind of like saying older Bruce raising Dick as his ward was his dad. Yes, on paper there’s a parental relationship but — the ages are so off. Bruce was young and Dick wasn’t that much younger than him.

Their relationship was more like an older brother raising a younger one, and that shows a lot in the dynamics between them later in life. Not saying he can’t be a full dad to Dick or that he doesn’t take that role on but — their relationship isn’t as clear cut either.

So yeah, it makes sense to me that Dick could model that same relationship with Damian. Not quite dad, not quite older brother. Still Batman, to Damian’s Robin, just like Bruce was Batman to him.

I guess when it comes to writing it, it depends on how much you want to make 1) Bruce the bad guy for being a bad/absent parent and 2) Dick the sacrificing parent who stepped up while Bruce was gone.

I tried to show in my fic borderline that that relationship isn’t sustainable long term - Dick trying to mollify Damian and Bruce standing to the side awkwardly does everyone a disservice. Dick is not a martyr. He’s a sibling trying his best. But also, sometimes that actually makes things worse, you know? Having a sibling raise the younger kids. It throws off the dynamics in so many families if you’re not careful. If that sibling doesn’t have resources and support, they’ll burn out.

And then, 7 years after his disappearance, Vox reappears and joins Charlie Morningstar at her hotel for rehabilitation of sinners of all things, with Angel Dust as her first client, and--

'are you sure about that guy man' and vox just shrugs like 'well last time i was face to face with him we had a really bitter breakup fight so idek if hes sure about me tbh'

I’m plotting out what Cat, Felipe, and Ana’s lives would look like in a Crown of Ashes AU where one of them accidentally outed the triad to Mary and set everything off. It’s a whole lot of OW because I don’t think the ot3 kids would have the sibling-like bonds they do in ot3 verse. Their aunts/uncles don’t blame them, but there’s no way the relationships survive unchanged. Especially for Elizabeth, who has to grow up fast and protect her younger siblings. It also doesn’t help that Cat, Felipe, and Ana are raised by KoA and while KoA does advocate (somewhat) for Anne’s children, Elizabeth knows she can’t be trusted, and by extension, she has to be careful what she tells her niblings because anything they know might get back to KoA, and to Mary. Maybe as adults when Tommy is on the throne, they become closer, but it’s a long road until then.

OH G-D THE ANGST yeah. (I think Elizabeth in particular would be angry - not blaming (she blames Mary) but she would be angry), I think Mihrimah would just not be able to forgive them (like for Tommy she’ll be civil and she does get it wasn’t great for them either but uh, watching what Tommy had to go through re Norwich and then Tommy and Elizabeth having to be Mary’s Emotional Support means she’s…like she gets it was never what they intended or wanted to happen but it Happened and it was because of them it kicked off)

They definitely do not know the full story re the OT3. And yep, all the kids really manage KOA (it’s definitely not the way it is in regular OT3 verse). I don’t know if they ever do.

Like, I do think possibly as adults the younger kids might be closer with their nieces and nephew (Pippa and Ned maybe anyway - just because they are younger than Cat/Felipe/Ana anyway. Owen probably not) but there is always a distance on both sides (partly because I think Cat, Felipe and Ana feel deeply deeply guilty and ashamed).

(They hate Mary even more here tbh because she destroyed their family ties in a lot of ways and their father who everyone loved)

I'm up really early today. So maybe that's why I'm feeling so blah.

But there's also the fact that since moving to this blog, I keep losing mutuals and idek why. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all of my mutuals who are still here. But I just found out someone soft-blocked me and I was looking forward to interacting with them. Sent memes and everything, and nope.

I genuinely adore all the threads I currently have. I adore all my RP partners so much. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't discouraged a bit by this. I don't understand the issue and I wish I did. I'm the same person I always was and so I don't see why people would not want to interact now if they previously did. And listen, I would much rather people who don't want to interact not force themselves. But it's still discouraging, you know? It still sucks feeling so easily replaceable in the RPC.

I don't know what the solution is, tbh. I've been trying to ignore these feelings of mine and just focus on having fun. But it's hard. Very hard. How can I have fun when I feel I'm not needed or wanted here? It's tricky, because I say this when I have so many threads that I really do love, with RP partners I genuinely adore. But the fact that I keep losing mutuals is getting to me. Idek why it's bothering me so much, it just makes me feel so bad.

I genuinely don't care if I lose a mutual on my personal. So ideally, I could approach RP the same way. But somehow, when I lose a mutual on here, it feels more personal. Even though it's not meant to, it still does. I don't know the solution. All I know is I need to find one, before I quit RPing for good.

I don't want anyone to force themselves to interact with me. But am I really that bad a writer/rper? Maybe I am. Or maybe it's nothing personal and just keeps happening coincidentally. But it certainly feels just as sucky either way. Hopefully, I will figure out how to deal with these sucky feelings. Otherwise, I might have to leave.

I just want to say that I bear the person who soft -blocked me (and all the other mutuals I've lost) no ill will. It's not your fault , you need to curate your space I get it. But two things can be true. You need to curate your space AND me always being the one removed is getting to me, making me feel bad. I don't know what the answer is, yet. But I do hope I'll find it. unpopular john opinion? hmmmm lord i guess it depends on what circles i'm in bc there's smth unpopular about every john opinion i have depending on who i'm around. i guess just the one that would be most unpopular to the widest audience imaginable is that his relationship w yoko was a lot more complicated than anyone wants to talk about. like she was neither the diabolical scheming witch that hypnotized him and tortured him... but she was also not the cool girlboss wife that did no wrong. i think the truth is somewhere in the middle and falls more along the lines of that they were both Not Good to or for each other, but ofc where men like john & paul are given grace to fuck up in relationships, yoko is not bc she is a woman and a japanese woman at that. i guess that's more of a Yoko Opinion but. i mean it's john as well. their relationship was very odd and sometimes incredibly unhealthy but i don't necessarily think he was either The Victim or The Abuser. they just kind of sucked together.

okay so i feel like price's favorite holiday tradition is watching the nutcracker

fhhdhshs ok this is like a super duper random headcanon that's gonna go off on a tangent here and if ur a possessive price girly maybe u won't like it but oh well

but i can see price like at one point having a small little relationship with some other lady whatever she's kinda irrelevant ngl

what matters is her child

omg that sounds bad wait lemme finish

what im trying to say is that the ex's child danced in the nutcracker and his ex brought him to see it

but this was like quite a few years ago

either that or he just dated a dancer that was in the nutcracker

idk man all that matters is that the tradition of watching the nutcracker was started

he likes going to a different theatre/company every year so it sorta switches it up

so sometimes he'll go watch the royal ballet or sometimes he'll watch some amateur recital thing

he just enjoys watching people dance and listening to the music

he thinks it's so cool how effortless they make it look

especially since he knows it's anything but

he really likes the mouse king vs nutcracker part in the beginning

and he thinks the dance of the sugar plum fairy is overrated

lives for the snow queen tho

kyle "gaz" garrick:

man kyle just likes to hang out with his family

mainly because his family has like twenty different traditions they do together

making gingerbread houses, making christmas sweaters, making ornaments

i mean it's like an advent calendar of christmas festivities at the garrick household

honestly gaz is a family man but he's not ready to have his own family yet ykwim?

like he loves his family

but he want to wait until he's older to have his own family

absolutely loves hanging out with his younger brother and sister tho

and we've already established this before but they're like little kids

so he likes sorta bringing the magic of the holiday traditions to them

one of his favorite traditions is to take his younger siblings on a drive to watch christmas lights

and then he drives until they fall asleep

it's so sweet

ok so idek if this counts as a tradition im ngl my family is not very festive but whatever

but simon really enjoys (and is really good at) making popcorn and cranberry garland

i mean guys let's be real

simon is a seamstress at heart and on the surface

i mean it's not like he has the time to stop by the store and get someone else to sew his mask on for him

there's just something so therapeutic about sewing

and he really likes the sweet and tart smell of cranberries mixed with the buttery smell of popcorn

it sounds weird on paper but irl it's really good (i assume)

he also eats a lot more cranberries than he probably should but tbh who can blame him

on another note he also really likes making sugared cranberries and just keeping them in a bowl so he can snack on them

and i can't even blame him bc i tried them for the first time during thanksgiving and oml they slap

so yeah he honestly just lives for cranberry stuff

but ofc like everything else about his life this is a secret that can never come to life

but he will decorate his house with strings of popcorn and cranberry garland

also every year he always eats some by the end

kinda gross ik but like same

he doesn't eat the popcorn tho only the cranberries

and even then he pulls them all off and washes them

but he doesn't always eat much because they taste sorta weird by then

but yeah ghost is an ocean spray cranberry juice kinda guy

john "soap" mactavish:

soap absolutely loves gift exchanges

white elephant, secret santa, or just general gift giving

it doesn't matter soap loves them all

he loves to see who he gets and to buy presents for them

and ofc he loves getting presents in return

plus he really likes seeing just how much thought and effort everyone puts into their gifts

and he always keeps a camera on hand during gift opening so he can try and get that perfect moment of surprise

he's gotten a few good shots but a lot of them are really blurry

he's not the best photographer okay

but yeah he just loves seeing everyone so happy

his favorite one is probably white elephant though

because the randomness adds to the fun

and he likes to be able to look back at some weird object and be reminded of the good memories

rodolfo "rudy" parra:

anyways rudy really likes taking christmas family photos

his family does one every year on christmas day and he lives for it

one of his uncles is a photographer so it works out anyways

and they always get the family matching pjs or outfits or costumes or something

and his family has a whole album of them

so he literally has like a christmas picture every year since he was a baby

his favorite one was a few years back where his grandpa was santa, his grandma was mrs. claus, his parents, siblings, and him were elves, and then his nieces and nephews were reindeer

he keeps that one on a frame in his desk

and it's cool to see how every year the crowd gets bigger and bigger as people get married and have kids

and guys it's been happening for a while but i am a rudy girl at my core

i can't help it im sorry

alejandro vargas:

honestly i feel like alejandro really likes advent calenders

he doesn't even really know why it just gives him something to look forward to everyday

before his break starts he always brings rudy over to open the day's gift with him too

he usually gets different calenders every year

some years he gets ones that have candy or chocolate

and other years he gets some with pocket knives or tools

is that a thing?

idk they should be

sometimes when he's feeling especially festive he'll get himself a few different ones that way he can have multiple things to look forward to

his favorite one is the neuhaus chocolate ones

he really has to fight the urge to sneak one in a day early

idk alejandro's just a fan of chocolate in general

but like fancy chocolate not just like hershey's

he needs truffles or cadbury or specialty chocolate

is cadbury even fancy?

Kingdom 2

So i know the line up for 'Road to Kingdom 2' is out although im not 100% sure it's confirmed(?)... for those who don't know the lineup is: Cravity, Xikers, ATBO, THE NEW SIX, YOUNITE, and 8TURN... i heard rumours and mentions of tempest but im not too sure. I also know that there are fans that are against road to kingdoms for a multitude of reasons that are definitely valid but as a multistan I can't help but be a little excited for the awesome performances and idol interactions we're gonna get!

anyways, I knos that the show hasn't even aired yet and I'm getting ahead of myself but here's a list of groups I think will be in Kingdom 2 and why! Mostly 4th and 5th gen groups listed! BUt lmk what yall think too!

ZEROBASEONE

For starters Kep1er was on queendom 2. They started off with a strong debut so I definitely see why they would. I don't really have too many reasons for them it just makes sense...? Only downside is that they have to go through another survival show...

2. TREASURE

Honestly for a YG group, treasure is pretty underrated. I think they'd have doubts about participating on Kingdom 2 because tbh it didn't really go well for iKon but I think the leaders of treasure would push an encourage the members to do it. Especially since YG is ass at promoting and they haven't had a comeback in 9 months. I think they'll definitely have a comeback before kingdom and during kingdom. And although they are underrated they are still well-established. Also victims of a survival show...

3. BOYNEXTDOOR

BND is possibility. I feel like because they're under hybe people don't see the need for them to participate but I also feel like they'd want to try something different or challenging since they are still a pretty new group.

4. P1HARMONY

with my whole heart and soul they'd fuck. the. stage. up. I feel as though this is also a very well established group but kingdom would give them an opportunity to better express their creative idol outlet. I think they'd also be hesitant since SF9 participated but they'd also like to try something new/different!

5. NCT WISH

also a maybe group. they are newer so I'd see why they'd participate but they are under SM so i'd feel their fanbase would be bigger but because they are a japanese centered group it would give them an opportunity to promote more in korea. I also feel like they'd do it to prove something - becasue they're new but they also want to show off they're own talents within NCT. PT3 OF VICTIMS OF SURVIVAL SHOWS...

6. &TEAM

Another victim of a survival shows.... also another maybe group. I also think they'd use this as an opportunity to promote more in korea, also try something new and challenging. I think it would also pave way for them to express their artist creativity. I say maybe because they are under hybe but i guess that's probably besides the point?

7. CIX

TBH IDEK i just feel like they would? I am more of a casual CIX listener. Seeing as they are a, imo, well known group I think they'd also do it for the opportunities. They are really talented. I started listening to them bc of jinyoung (wannable) but after watching YGTB i started to get into them more bc of seunghun and bx too... they're also three victims of survival shows... ATP i guess i have a type...

7. AB6IX

ehh tbh idek either... i guess similar to CIX since they are a 4th gen group too. Daehwi and Woojin... more victims...

8. RIIZE

HUGE EMPHASIS ON THE MAYBE. Only really put them down because they're 5th gen. with them I also see it as a creative outlet opportunity and something to prove. like yes we do have talent and our success is not bc of the company we're signed under.

9. TEMPEST

if they aren't on RTK2 then I feel like they'd be on kingdom 2.

10. TWS

cause they're also new? also an opportunity for a comeback.

TBVH i did think of groups that most definitely would not participate but that's due to a number of reasons and in all honestly I'm terrified of fandom wars breaking out.

VERY LONG RANT about that one person who made LITERAL N4Z1 OCS AND PUT THAT SHIT IN THE CLONE HIGH TAG:

K so if you didn’t know there’s this account that made ch ocs and made them n4z1s and also drew the ch h1tl3r. I thought it was common knowledge in this fandom and in general that MAKING YOUR OC A N4Z1 IS INSENSITIVE AND WRONGG BUT IG NOT???

Their defences were: “he was literally in the show” “have you even seen the show” and “they’re supposed to be bad people who said I support them”

Here’s my rebuttal to their defences 1: just because he was in the background of a scene doesn’t mean it’s ok to draw him the artists definitely regretted their decision of putting him there because he isn’t in season 2 at all.

2: you made clone high ocs who are literal n4z1s “oh well they’re supposed to be villians” you can have a villian oc without making them a literal n4z1. It’s so obviously insensitive oml. That’s like making your oc a terrorist and saying “who wants to draw my silly ocs :3” like hopefully nobody??? Also that’s a obvious invitation for real n4z1s to interact with your account and considering the fact you reblog and make jokes about the real h1tl3r that’s not surprising.

4: the show was made by a Jewish man. Idk why tf you’d bring up the point of “did you even watch the show” as if the show still has these types of jokes.

Here’s my conclusion sorta statement bc idek what I said: just the show made some shitty dark humour esk jokes about n4z1s in 2003 doesn’t mean it’s ok to draw that stuff and make ocs that are n4z1s. The show hasn’t made those types of jokes in a long time so they obviously regret it and realized that joking about that stuff wasn’t ok. There’s a reason why h1tl3r isn’t in season 2. Also I’m assuming that’s why the gesh school of mutants doesn’t show up but idk (their school symbol was a reference to a very popular one that has to do with this topic.. yeah)

ANYWAYS this is just another person using clone high as a way to justify their gross behaviour. And honestly I really don’t feel like wasting my time with someone who thinks drawing him is ok. And you shouldn’t waste your time either tbh
