I've never really self-identifed as butch because my style sensibility leans more toward effeminate gay man/eccentric grandparent but while my girlfriend was visiting, the clasps that held the shoulder strap of her handbag kept breaking (thanks temu), and finally I got fed up and fixed it by

a) wrenching off the old clasps with a pair of plyers and

b) replacing them with the only clasps I had on hand, which were 2 giant carabiners

and yeah, now that I think about it, that is incredibly butch lesbian behavior.

First of a couple pieces done for my half of the @zukkabigbang2024 illustrating the delightful @erisenyo's wonderful fic "The Things I Would Do (To Steal Time With You)"!

It will be coming out in parts and so will the rest of the art! This first bit is actually from chapter 2, so sorry if it doesn't make sense yet. Next chapter will go up in a few weeks so keep your eyes glued to this spot!

Something I have always noticed about TDP is the recurring message of softness and being soft. Not even just with the “history can be a narrative of love’ theme but just in all the main character’s core qualities there is such a precious underlying softness and tenderness. Even when the world stomps them down, it’s still there, in their love for each other and in simply everything. This show has illustrated the beauty and strength in softness over and over again, through all the cracks and breaks. I guess it just reiterates the lesson that real strength falls in compassion and love. Real strength is being soft no matter how hard it is ❤️. 

That's a pretty important lesson to learn.
