}What's this? An original post from your former lord and savior?
Yes, my friends, though I'm not here to stay. I just wanted to leave a quick little update on where I am in life right now. ...And I'll just give it to you straight without cutting the shit.
For those who're only here for the art, though, hope you like it! Now, then.
Finding a job has turned out to be incredibly difficult and my Actual Legal Guardian™ has begun to charge me rent because she spent too much money on stupid novelty shit to be able to pay her bills.
So I might just be opening commissions soon! Not now, but... soon. I still want to brush up my art skills just a tiny bit before making any major announcements, but yeah!
Other than that, things have been okay. I reconnected with an old... acquaintance recently, I've been practicing with my guitar much more often, I may be in a tough spot, but things aren't absolutely hopeless. I'm not gonna spend a whole many-screens-long post just begging for your money or something.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course; shit just happens to some people.
Anyway, I've mainly just been sitting at home, watching dumb shit on YouTube, waiting for nearby places to start hiring because I physically cannot rely on any form of transportation other than walking, giving up on DMing a D&D campaign for people, and occasionally trying to catch up to Iceborne (and failing spectacularly). I'm still in one piece!
Also unfortunately I was not able to #FuckTiamat last year, but that's okay! These things take time, and I did end up in a sort of odd "buddies with bonuses" relationship with Asmodeus instead, so I'll take what I can get for now. Who knew she was such a trans icon?
That's all I have to say, really. My life is not a very eventful one. Hope everyone had an amazing holiday season, and I'll, uh... see you all again in like four months? Idk man. I'm bad at ending these thi{

Learning material exercises
Exercise 2.1
describe two separate games as if you where telling someone who has played neither games, then compare your descriptions.
Game1 - Destiny 2 is a 3D online fps mmo looter shooter game with a live service method and online multiplayer world. The game has multiple classes and abilities for player to choose from alongside gear in the form of amour and varying weapon types. The goal of the game could may be to reach max level for the current piece of content instead of just beating the story as the majority of the game is post campaign content.
Game2 - Pac man is a 2D single player arcade game about avoiding and taking down enemies. The game has no live service method or DLC and no player customization. The game world consists of one repeating level and the goal is to survive as long as possible before being defeated, it has no real story or post game content.
Although both games are very separate they do have some similarities such as point systems and ways in which the player can fail, both require an electronic platform to be played on and both have the player fighting against computer controlled enemies. Other then these the games very different in what sceneries and opportunities they provide for the players and how the players interact with them.
Exercise 2.3
list five games, and in one sentence each describe the objective of the game.
Ocarina of time: The goal is to clear dungeons and defeat Gannon. (this is also the best Zelda game)
Terraria: The goal is to defeat bosses to unlock materials to gain new gear.
Monster Hunter World Iceborn: The goal is to uncover and defeat the monster threatening the ecosystem
Grand Theft Auto V: The goal is to finish the story while successfully earning money from heists.
Fortnite: the goal is to be the last player alive at the end of a match
Exercise 2.4
think of a game with no rules or one rule, why is this so difficult to do?
The game I thought of was tag, a common game for school students although it does have other rulesets played by different demographics. Tag in its simplest sense has one rule, if you are tagged you are out. Although even this is kind of cheating as tag has a lot of rules that change depending on a lot of factors, and many versions of tag have additional rules such as, being tagged means instead of being out you must also tag players, or you can be saved from being tagged by a player who has not been tagged.
This thought experiment made me think about how closely games and rules exist even though the idea of rules sound restrictive and unfun they actually help make games more fun by adding things players must work around to achieve their goals during participation. It also shows how playing a game is an agreements to follow a certain set of rules as mentioned in the learning material, and how not following these rules can trivialize the playing.

Rolling for NPC...
ITS OUKKI
18. Neck kisses or shoulder kisses?
(Ah yes. This must be an allosexual thing then??? I'll try but I cannot comprehend or understand the allure of either.)
Quill likes???? Neck???? IDK IM VERY CONFUSE
Venture is down for either?????
Oukki is a shoulder kiss person maybe who knows?
Guys please explain to me why either is desirable I can't compute why slobbering on each other is romantic
20. Would they be the one to propose, the one hoping for a proposal, or no interest in marriage or the equivalent?
Safe territory thank heavens
Quill would be the one who to propose. In fact, she was! She carved the rings herself. When Oukki died... She buried her ring with Oukki, and kept Oukki's on a small chain around her neck. She wears three necklaces, actually. The one with the ring, the one with the symbol of Chislev, and a third empty chain that used to hold something special.
Venture is the fourth category: his future was chosen for him, so he has no opinion. He will be the one that does the formal proposal, but honestly the marriage was sealed 25 years ago, before he was even born.
Oukki would be the one waiting for a proposal. She's not exactly scared of commitment, but it just never occured to her to be the one to take that step.
23. What do they want most in life?
Stability and sanctuary. Quill wants to be able to sit down and say "this that I have is safe and will remain so, and the people around me are protected. I don't need a worry, now I can finally take off my well-worn boots and sit down for a while.
Venture wants the opposite. He wants to be free of any cares. Not money, not duty, not lurking unimplorable justice. Just freedom.
I can't declare this answer for Oukki, because it's probably officially and canonically different. But to have people around her that aren't going to abandon her, that will fight along side. People. That's what she wants.

Mhw Armor Slots Explained
Materials from the Guiding Lands are required for weapon augments in Monster Hunter World (MHW) Iceborne. All materials and conditions necessary for weapon augmentation for Master Rank will be listed here.
List of Contents
Requirements for Master Rank Weapon Augments
Unlock The Guiding Lands
After months of waiting Monster Hunter World has hit PC. But for new players, regardless of platform, one the most important things in is to keep a constant supply of crucial crafting. The slots you see on armor pieces are fixed. On weapons you can augment them for slots, wich will give a lv1 slot with a single augment, a lv 2 slot (improving the previously added slot) with 2 augments stacked or a lv 3 slot when you stack 3 aguments. Monster Hunter World Iceborne Guardian Armor Limits. Despite the + marking on the Guardian Armor Set acts similarly to a high rank armor. It completely maxes out at 82 defense and with only 2 x level 1 decoration slots, this set will be limited to what it can provide. Armor pieces come with innate skills, but don’t forget to fit slots with jewels. Each piece of armor and weapon can hold up to three jewels of three various sizes. The bigger the jewel, the more.
Master Rank Weapon Augments are available when you complete Monster Hunter World (MHW) Iceborne's main campaign. After defeating the final elder dragon, Shara Ishvalda they will present the credits, then you can speak to the Field Team Leader in Seliana. He will tell you to go to the Elder Recess to investigate a Ruiner Nergigante. Departing on this quest will lead you to The Guiding Lands through a cut scene.

There are materials present in the Guiding Lands that are not available anywhere else. make sure to gather from Bonepiles and Mining Outcrops. The higher your Resource Levels the more variety of material you can gather.
When the Resource Level Bar is at maximum, a single special gathering point will appear. You can mine this for a rare item from this reigon. One you mine it, you must repeat the process.

//HC - The Civil War
Could get a bit lengthy, so I’ll shove it under a cut, with preemptive apologies to mobile users.
By this blog’s timeline, the Civil War between Ashe and Sejuani kicked off roughly fifteen years in the past. Over that time, the war has been largely small scale skirmishes; no more than a hundred or so on any one side, with only a handful of truly large-scale battles. But the bodies add up, and the numbers over the past decade make it one of the bloodiest wars in modern Valoran history. Few people really see this cost, since it’s happening so slow, but it’s affecting the Freljord severely, something Ashe is all too aware of, as the face of the Freljord to the other nations in Valoran.
While the tribes of the Freljord were always prone to feuds and long-running, bloody animosity over territory, resources, and pride, they were largely content to survive and coexist. Foreigners could come to the Freljord in relative safety and trade freely with just about any tribe they came across. This was the state of the Freljord when Ashe first inherited the leadership of her tribe and found Avarosa’s Will, her legendary True Ice bow, at the age of fifteen. She saw at last a chance to make her childhood dream of a united Freljord, and started reaching out to neighboring tribes, working to bring them around to helping make her dream a reality. Ashe was barely eighteen when she made the fatal mistake of sending a peace offering to the Winter’s Claw. Having already won the loyalty of several tribes through her passion for a united Freljord as well as through the authority she carried by virtue of Avarosa’s Will, she grew overconfident, and failed to take the time to meet with the Winter’s Claw beforehand. Her gift was received as an insult, and the Winter’s Claw declared war on the young Ashe’s fledgling alliance of tribes. And with that, the Freljordian Civil War began. In those early months, the idealistic Ashe quickly saw her vision of a peaceful return to the unity of Avarosa’s legendary kingdom shatter, and in her inexperience and frustration with the violence, made a long series of mistakes and rash decisions that only fed the Winter’s Claw, as tribes turned against her to bolster Sejuani’s traditionalist movement, losing her access to the valuable western coast and its summer shipping lanes. The war shifted quickly from a conflict between two tribes, to a conflict between two factions of many tribes as the Civil War began to polarize the Freljord. Ashe was forced to learn the hard way, by repeated failure. But with time came the experience and wisdom she didn’t have at the start, and she began to turn the war in her favor. Not by building an army to drive Sejuani and her allies into the sea, but by controlling the narrative of the war itself. She, the descendant of the Iceborn legend Avarosa, rightful heiress to the throne of a united Freljord, wanted nothing more than to raise the Freljord to its former glory by embracing all the tribes, and bringing them in under the great Avarosa’s ancient banner. Sejuani, she claimed, would rather the Freljord remain divided and vulnerable, for the sake of some misguided notion that isolation and conflict bred strength. By the war’s fifth year, most of the southern tribes were united under the Avarosan banner, and her influence was creeping east and north. By the seventh year, she had used the location of her capital of Frosthelm, situated in a mild, fertile valley in the south, to establish control over the land routes into the Freljord. All land-based trade would have to pass through Avarosan lands first. This denied the Winter’s Claw access to the safest trade routes out of the Freljord, leaving them only the western sea during the summer months, but more importantly, it made Ashe and the Avarosans the first people any foreigners met when they came by land. The diplomats of the foreign nations would enter Frosthelm and meet with Ashe long before they had any opportunity to travel further north in search of Sejuani. This established Ashe as the face of the Freljord to the outside world, and gave her the ability to shape outside perceptions of the war. She learned political etiquette from the visiting dignitaries and diplomats and began to practice the craft by reaching out to the neighboring nations. It was around this time that Noxus launched it’s brief and ill-fated campaign against the eastern tribes. The attack galvanized the region, giving both Sejuani and Ashe openings to sway the tribes to their side. By the time the Noxians turned back, the eastern tribes were largely pledged to the Avarosan cause, while Sejuani secured and consolidated support in the west. By the tenth year, cartographers could almost draw defined lines between the territories held by the Winter’s Claw and its allies, and the Avarosan alliance. In the five years since, little has changed. While Ashe controls the largest assemblage of tribes and holds strategic control over the southern border and most of the shores along the Conqueror’s Sea to the east, Sejuani and her allies are left free to roam, hunt, and gather all across the northern and western reaches of the Freljord, and trade freely in the summer when the ice on the western sea melts. The tribes that have refused to take a side are deaf to both leader’s rallying cries, and neither side dare bring their war into the territories of the revered Frostguard, so as not to disturb their sacred duties. Ashe is now thirty-three years old. The light skirmishes continue across the belly of the Freljord, and tribes on the fringes of both alliances make raids deep into enemy territory, with or without the approval of the two leaders. But Ashe refuses to give up on her dream of unity, and Sejuani refuses to bend her knee to the woman who insulted her tribe. And so the Freljord falls into an uneasy stalemate, and the land and its people remain both more unified, yet more divided, than ever before.

2020 Games
Replays
DKC Trilogy (5/5) - As great as ever, competitive co-op was a fun twist
Super Mario 64 (4/5) - A lot more playable than I expected after all this time
1 - I Knew It Would Be Bad
Mega Man X7 - Widely considered to be an awful game. Mega Man doesn't work in 3D and some bosses repeat the same voice clips literally several times per second.
2 - Stop Trying To Make Retro Games Happen
Dragon Quest 1 - Fine but tedious and basic these days
Dragon Quest 2 - Fine but tedious and basic these days
Dragon Quest 3 - Fine but tedious and basic these days
Mega Man 7 - Nice colourful graphics but too hard and annoying for me Mega Man 8 - Nice colourful graphics but too hard and annoying for me
Mega Man 9 - Nice NES-style graphics but too hard and annoying for me
Mega Man 10 - Nice NES-style graphics but too hard and annoying for me
Gorogoa - Very clever but I'm no good at these kind of puzzle games and should have known better
Hitman Go - Same as Gorogoa, I got too frustrated after a while. At least I learned and didn't get Baba is You Shantae (Gameboy Colour) - You can see the beginnings of the great Shantae series but the difficulty is way higher than its sequels and it feels very clunky to actually play
3 - Mega Mans
Mega Man X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X8 – Not point in repeating myself so I'm just going to combine these together since I played them all very close together. The X games are my favourite Mega Man games but I'm still not a huge fan of the bosses, the structure or the difficulty
Songbird Symphony - Lovely little platformer but the rhythm sections quickly became too messy to be fun. At least they were optional.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - Would have been great if not for the awful, awful boss battles that ruined it
Zanki Zero - Great story and cool aging mechanices but skip the dungeon gameplay.
Disgaea 3 - Not top tier Disgaea due to somewhat forgettable characters but still quite enjoyable
Atelier Ryza - Very nice rpg but the heavy focus on crafting dragged me down more than I thought it would
Etrian Odyssey IV - I loved mapping out the dungeons on the touch screen but the battles and puzzles left me cold
Toby: The Secret Mine - Surprisingly decent puzzle platformer that wasn't just the Limbo ripoff that you might think at first glance.
Aegis Defenders - Fun puzzle platforming with tower defense that eventually got too overwhelming for me
Little Acre - Really nice cartoony Irish game that felt like it ended a little abruptly
4 - Second Chances
Pokemon Shield Expansion Pass - Really great add-ons that make me excited for what's next
New Super Luckys Tale - I had a lot of fun with this cute and charming 3D platformer
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom - Nice Metroidvania where you transform into different animals to progress
Cadence of Hyrule - I can't handle the proper timed Necrodancer gameplay but this was a fun mini Zelda experience in Wait Mode
The Messenger - I enjoyed this game but the difficulty and sparse fast travel points in the Metroidvania section put me off by the end.
Scribblenauts Unlimited - The best Scribblenauts game which focuses on words instead of awkward physics (unlike the DC one)
A Short Hike - A fun and wholesome adventure
Snake Pass - I gave up on it originally but I'm glad I came back. The controls are very awkward but once I got used to them I was amazed at what I could do and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Murder by Numbers - It's Picross! Strong Ace Attorney vibes but doesn't quite match the excitement and humour of that series.
Sonic Racing All Stars Transformed - A very enjoyable kart/boat/plane racer with a fun mix of characters and levels
Team Sonic Racing - I think Transformed made me appreciate this game even more and against all expectations I loved the team mechanic
Animal Crossing New Horizons - Very relaxing but breakable weapons and crafting ruined the fun a bit for me
Owlboy - Glad I gave this a second chance, a beautiful looking Zelda-like game where you can fly Phogs - Brilliant co-op game, I loved the bedtime and arcade worlds so much
Trine 4 - Very good co-op puzzle platformer, shame about the combat
Gris - Lovely platformer that was like playing a painting
Fall Guys - Frustrating at times but a clever idea and a lot of fun especially taking turns with a group
5 - The Top 10 (in no particular order)
Sayonara Wild Hearts - The way it combines the music and visuals makes it so exciting to play through and at about an hour a go I've replayed it several times since
Links Awakening HD - Lovely diorama style graphics and even though it was the same great game as ever it still felt very fresh
Dragon Quest 11 - A massive, beautiful, traditional style jrpg that constantly surprises
Luigis Mansion 3 - The best Luigis Mansion, so much fun to explore all the unique floors of the hotel and Gooigi was a great addition
Into the Breach - Brilliant strategy game, being limited to just 3 units and only around 5 turns per battles means it has all the best of Advance Wars and Fire Emblem minus any tedium
Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair - If you ignore the Impossible Lair itself which is one of the most ridiculous difficulty spikes I've ever seen, this felt like having a new Donkey Kong Country
Paper Mario and the Origami King - I was worried about the battle system and that it was continuing the Sticker Star style of Paper Mario, but having now played it, it's a game I'm very fond of.
Shovel Knight Treasure Trove - I'm so glad I revisited this having only played the original. I loved Spectre Knights campaign but my favourite was King Knights due to the shorter levels.
Fire Emblem Three Houses - Great gameplay as always and I loved getting to know all of the characters
Monster Hunter Iceborne - Very difficult but fantastic monsters and great as an online co-op

Nintendo’s marquee release for Switch this month, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, arrives alongside the new Nintendo Switch Lite on September 20. A remake of the classic Game Boy game of the same name, Link’s Awakening finds the titular hero stranded on the mysterious Koholint Island, where he’ll need to gather the eight Instruments of the Sirens to rouse the Wind Fish from its slumber and make his way home. While the game looks to be a faithful reimagining of the original, it also introduces some new content, namely a dungeon editor that allows you to arrange your own custom labyrinths.
