"…Hasn't everyone?" comes Halland's reply in carefully-measured syllables. Jaw clenched and posture rigid, she keeps her eyes trained on the horizon (because she is agitated, or perhaps afraid of the expression she might find on Joseph Joestar's face if she glances to her side).

It's a sentiment she would have held no claim to just a few short years ago--she had, up until recently, lived quite a charmed life. Rich and overachieving and wanting for nothing (save, perhaps, some measure of familial warmth, but the Oates simply weren't that sort of family, and there was nothing to be done about that). And then she'd made the first choice solely for herself in her life, and she'd botched it so horrendously that a brilliant, kind man had ended up dead at the hands of a perpetrator she had invited into the fold herself.

"…It was my error in judgment," she murmurs in confession ('that caused it, that killed him' is the tail end of that statement that goes unspoken), before she can stop herself. Since childhood, she's striven to be a woman who exists beyond reproach--mannerisms just so, reasoning sound, actions perfectly tailored for approval. But she knows the taste of failure now--not just the second-place medals or imperfect lutzes that used to make her feel ground down into nothing, but a true, crushing failure that brought about dire consequences. In its wake, she doesn't know quite how to slip back into that immaculate skin--can approximate it most days by going through the motions, but it feels tight now--ill-fitting. Maybe this is why she follows up; it's a self-flagellation of sorts, like her father used to prompt with that particular look from across the dining-room table (sparing her not a single word or glance thereafter until she broke on her own, until she measured out the details of her own failures for him to hear in forced-dispassionate point form--old habits die hard). Halland shakes her head as if to dispel the mental image of that grand and often-desolate room. It does her no good to think about it, and so she tucks it away.

"…It is not a mistake I intend to make again," she says firmly, after the regret from saying too much has set in and she is left with the compulsion to rectify her image. She steels her nerves to look at him then, amber eyes narrowed and expression neutral, if a bit tight around the edges. "...Why do you ask, Monsieur Joestar? With some effort, Fran can put the pieces back into order. An unfortunate combination of a brute-force attacker and too green of a Passione escort to counter it effectively, the new start wheezing wet around a mouthful of blood and saliva before she could put enough distance between herself and the attacker. She remembers being dragged across the concrete by her hair, hands ringing around her throat. Pressure. Grit your teeth. Bear it. Wait for your chance. A strand of Sister Morphine looped around her finger and severed by her thumbnail. An opening.

The loose, draping loop of a continuous stitch, hanging limp like the silk strands of a severed spider's web. Until all at once she pulls it taut. Until Sister Morphine finds disparate flesh--arm and midsection, midsection and arm between the webbing of sutures, and does what it does best. It mends. So seamless a knit it's as if there was never any distinction between appendage and torso at all. It forces his hands from her burning throat at last, sends him tipping to the side, and once again there is an opening. She remembers sprinting on wobbly legs until she finds herself doubled over with the edge of her turtleneck yanked away from her throat, gasping for breath, heartbeat hammering. Remembers the deceptively-grand loom of a shadow across the pavement, but not its source. Remembers thinking, disjointed and hysterical, about the terrible symmetry of it all--surviving in one alleyway against all odds, only to die in another.

Nothing after that, for a while. Then, Melone's voice sounding from one side of her, jolting her back to the present. The background-noise sting of antiseptic. The ring of dried blood around her nostrils as she sucks in a breath.

Her hand is still prying her collar away from her scarred throat (finger-shaped bruises slowly darkening over the skin there) as she swallows sandpaper-rough gulps of air--she wonders how long she's held it like that in a white-knuckle grip as Melone did... what, treated her? She casts a glance over to him, her brows furrowed. Fran opens and closes her mouth to speak, but only laboured breath rattles from her throat those first few times. Melone is under no obligation to do this. And even if he was, he needn't be so thorough about it. Fran doesn't know what to make of this, so used to experiencing a one-way street in the opposite direction--only being of note for as long as she's needed. The sort of person you can put on the backburner until you need her again--who will mend herself because she has little other choice.

"...This isn't your job, Mr. Melone," she rasps, around syllables that have dug their nails into the back of her throat in protest. It's almost an accusation, but not quite. Why waste your time?

Resumo: Nesse material você verá sobre os cargos de uma moderação, o envio de ads na tag, como decidir o evento de abertura e os plot drops.

Agora que você já fez tudo o que precisava para a parte mais visual da Central, vamos divulgar a central.

Você pode optar por mandar promos/ads simples para as tags com gifs e um resumo sobre o plot principal, ou pode montar algo mais elaborado, com graphics, textos e tudo o mais. Isso vai depender de como você prefere ou se sente mais confortável.

A abertura da Central também fica à sua escolha, como você pretende que tenha a quantidade de players ou fichas aceitas. Só tome cuidado para não se perder no momento das reservas. Nessas horas, é bom ter alguém para dar um apoio enquanto você anota as informações.

Com a inauguração do RPG e abertura para IC, sugiro que você crie um evento que obrigue todos os chars a estarem no mesmo lugar. Você pode fazer alguma festa, por exemplo, ou inauguração, premiação, shows, enfim... Algo que tenha como os personagens se juntarem em um lugar só. Também não se esqueça de incluir locais e atividades que os players podem explorar melhor.

Para manter o RPG ativo e que os players engajem no Plot Principal, inclua também alguns plot drops que tenham ligação com o plot central. Atos que vão chocar os players, informações que eles precisam saber em IC. Aqui, você pode optar por não deixar muito escancarado e incentivar os players à investigarem lugares e eventos, mas tome cuidado, não se apegue tanto porquê pode ocorrer dos players não estarem afim de investigar.

Por fim, você pode criar dinâmicas para ajudar os players à interagir e se aprofundar nos personagens. Tasks relacionadas ao desenvolvimento que tragam insumos para o plot, por exemplo, é uma boa. Adoro askmeme, mas sugiro aqui que deixe para momentos mais tranquilos do RPG, já que muitos players podem não gostar muito por não receberem muitas asks.

😭"what are the biggest challenges writing your WIPs?" In all honesty, keeping all the info - and various documents for that info - straight, since I have outline documents, OC character description/plot doc, as well as documents simply for retaining "Scraps" (either cut or deleted scenes/sentences to reuse later), so it's a lot to keep track of. My longfics tend towards being plotty, too, so it's helpful having an outline to make sure all plot threads are consistent and that there aren't any plot holes. ❗"how many WIPs do you have?"

Right now, just the one - Cruel Intentions. I do have various other half-completed one-shots, but they're not WIPs at the moment, however. Cruel Intentions (or CI bk 1) is, and it deserves all my major focus since it's a story/longfic I've been steadfastly planning since 2009. ✏️"what are your current WIPs about?"

Cruel Intentions, my Ice Age Diego & Manny & Peaches family circle longfic is about exploring the family dynamics in the Ice Age herd, namely those btwn Manny, Diego, and Peaches. Peaches looks up to and admires Diego greatly, and sees him as a "second father" to her, and - a la her mother, Ellie - she wants to be "part tiger" becos the two are close becos of the circumstances of her birth in Dinotopia. But such mixed-species herds/families are looked down upon in the Bredelands, where the herd lives, making their situation precarious, and ghosts from the past can still find ways to haunt, especially since Diego & Manny find themselves caught in the crosshairs of revenge...

23. Describe the physical environment in which you write. Be as detailed as possible. Tell me what’s around you as you work. Paint me a picture.

There's a chasm running through our bed. That's one of those things that sounds like a metaphor, but it isn't; we got a big memory foam mattress-topper second-hand when our friends upgraded to a King and it eventually hit the point where it split almost entirely in a long, jagged line down the middle. Things disappear into it: phones, mail, pens, blankets. Nate, sometimes. We keep saying we'll get rid of it, but that's a Task and I'm cursed and Nate's beset with demons so for now we're just living with a bed that has a canyon in it. My side is still pretty comfortable; the chasm runs at an angle so the only part of me that I have to worry about falling into it is my left foot. It feels like I'm a seal on a very squishy, fragmented ice floe.

We finally got some friends to help paint the walls last summer, and the previous tenants had hung a canopy from the ceiling so I used their hooks to drape some string lights over the bed. The walls are painted with pine trees, blue on blue, and the lights are like stars, casting little pools of brightness onto the scalloped ceiling. The selkie cape my friend bought for me hangs on the closet door, and I curl up under a blanket bedecked with marginalia creatures.

You have to try to make your life a little bit magical, I think. I've been shut up in this room for going on nine months, and it would be easy for it to feel like a prison. Sometimes it still does. But we put the forest I can't visit on the walls and the stars I can't see on the ceiling, and I think about how people I love are responsible for every brushstroke of those painted trees, and most of the time that's enough.

She produces an updated photo from the crook of her arm and slides it across the desk for his reference, as well.

"Compare photograph F of the laceration to the popiliteal fossa seen in the report to the one taken today. Sister Morphine was utilized on this injury postmortem in order to test a suspicion of mine." Fran braces one hand on the desk for balance as she leans forward, gesturing over the injury in the photo from the initial autopsy with her other one. "For my stand, knitting a relatively uncomplicated laceration such as this on a deceased recipient should have been seamless. But you can see that this isn't the case. It was healed, certainly, but note the visible scarring left behind despite the lack of discernible complexity to the chosen injury."

Fran straightens up, folding her hands neatly behind her back, her mouth pressing into a tight and solemn line behind her mask.

"Living or deceased, sentient or inanimate, my stand's entire purpose is to mend. However, its use has one indicator--or lackthereof--which can confirm something for us that a standard autopsy report cannot." A gloved hand thumbs briefly, absentmindedly over the scarring that curves under her left eye, before she thinks better of it and drops it to the desk She taps an index finger there once, twice, three times. In a low voice, she continues: "…Injuries inflicted by a stand that are healed by Sister Morphine... will scar."

     Hearing the word ‘hand’ before anything else has Mio flipping her palm face-up on sheer muscle memory--errand-runner instinct. She figures it’s keys, loose change--something like that. “Ah--there’s no need to treat me to anything. You just need me to hold...” Once the rest of his words trickle into her sluggish brain and she realizes it’s his hand he’s asking her to hold, her face (predictably) shifts into one of bewildered surprise, face paling then flushing in rapid succession. “...Huh?”

     “Your hand?!” Her open palm twitches between them, but she can’t draw it back now. She's unable to puzzle out why he’s asking for this of all things, but he does look a little troubled by something, maybe?  “I--really don’t understand why, Oikawa-san, but it seems like this is time-sensitive, so that’s fine! If you think it’ll help, I will--hold your hand with everything I’ve got...!”

Ooof... My earliest memory of the war was hearing my sire, Ratchet, grumble about it.

After that, it was walking up to enlist alongside my twin Stargazer, and best friend, Bumblebee.

Stargazer and I enlisted to try out for Spec Ops. Bumblebee enlisted as a Scout.

After that, I remember praying to Primus that I would get to see them again online when the war ended.
