[Some Askmeme Somewhere || accepting]
That got a bit of a puzzled look from the young Jotun. Technically he supposed his parents might be out there somewhere on the ice plains, but they'd cast him out before he could even remember their faces so did they really count? Finally he just shrugs. "Quite possibly. I'm not actually sure."

CHARACTER INFO ;; REPOST, DON’T REBLOG
▌FACE CLAIM: Tom Hiddleston ▌NAME/NICKNAME: Loki Frigguson. God of Mischief, Prince of Asgard, Master of Magic. Variations of ‘brother’ and ‘son’. Odin calls him ‘boy’, but he has a visceral revulsion to it since Thanos also called him ‘boy’ and ‘child’. ‘Husband’, ‘love’, ‘my sweet prince’, and any number of endearments from Sigyn. ▌AGE: 1053 years old. ▌HEIGHT: 6′4. ▌WEIGHT: The build of a 170lb male. His actual weight is heavier due to higher bone density and atmospheric changes on various planets. ▌SPECIES: Jotun. Shifted permanently to Ás form. ▌GENDER: Male. ▌NATIONALITY: Aesir, despite his grievances. It is almost a bitter love - his affection for Asgard, even though it rarely shares the same. ▌BIRTHDAY: He does not know the actual day of his birth, but he was given November 15th. Unbeknownst to him, Frigga made the decision to give him the day after her still-born son’s birthday as his name-day. ▌SUN SIGN: ▌RESIDENCE: Earth in main-verse. Highly verse dependent. ▌OCCUPATION: Prince. Otherwise independent sorcerer, scholar, alchemist, collector of books, and warrior. ▌MARITAL STATUS: Married, or attached in every verse. If he has not wed Sigyn, his heart is Sigyn’s, so he is not available. ▌ALIGNMENT: He does not abide by any particular alignment. They are too strict of parameters for a being that fluctuates so widely from actions and sentiments of Chaotic good, Chaotic Neutral, and several of the other alignments. He is opposed to being defined by blanket statements, stereotypes, or even tropes and “memes”. ▌DRINK: Wine. He is not an alcoholic in any true sense of the word or legitimate condition, but he does both enjoy it and use it to take the edge off of some emotions/situations/conditions. It rarely works. Otherwise chilled fruit-juice or water is sufficient. ▌FOOD: Breakfast. Pastries, scones, pancakes...; Asgardian dishes (spiced chicken; seasoned blends of buttered vegetables and light cuts of meat; sweet bread). He despises gruel and coffee; finds cream of wheat/rice distasteful; and will forgo eating before swallowing down anything offered him under dubious pretenses. ▌DAY OR NIGHT: Night. Though he has a rather complicated thought process on both. He enjoys night - it is cooler, darker, calmer -, but, also likes the soft warmth of early sunrise. Night is also anxious and lonely and restless under certain circumstances, and morning is little better than a sad repetition. ▌SNACKS: Ice cream. ▌PET: Cats, preferably. He has a black feline named Mischief. ▌COLOR: Black & Dark Green. He likes accents in silver or gold. ▌FLOWER: Dark blue/purple morning glories. ▌SEXUALITY/ROMANCE: Heterosexual. ▌BODY TYPE: Athletic; lean muscle that makes him deft, agile, and strong. He was wrongly construed as being weaker due to being compared to Thor, but that could not be farther from the truth. ▌EYE COLOR: Green - a kind of forest/mid green with a subtle gold ring around the iris and flecks of blue scattered through-out. They visibly glow when his magic is in use. ▌HAIR COLOR: Black. Raven black.

Milo Stone
STONE: Mind Stone (Loki’s Scepter, Vision)
FC: Aaron Tveit
GUARDS: Loki, Clint, Tony, Bruce, Helen, Vision, Wanda
POWER: controls minds
ORIENTATION: we’re talking about a timeless entity; they literally couldn’t care less. If they’re into you, they’re into you
MAIN VERSE: post-Avengers: Infinity War
INFO:
Wants to protect too many people. Definitely counts Vision as an honorary Stone sibling. Is tired of causing pain, and just wants to use his powers to help heal people’s minds. Is still in love with Wanda Maximoff, but it’s Complicated. Is trying very hard to be less of a jerk and turn over a new leaf but is afraid people don’t trust him to do it. Honestly just wants to rest but doesn’t feel he deserves that yet. If Tess is the mom friend, then he’s the dad friend. Loves to cook – it’s Science that helps people meet their needs – even if he doesn’t require sustenance himself.
VERSES:
Pre-Avengers:
For a very long time, during what Milo would come to think of as his beginning, he lived a normal, simple life. Like Olivia, he spent the first couple millennium of his life wandering around the universe, soaking up life and existence and exploring in his human form. Unlike his sister, he didn’t shy away from contact with others, or even from bonding with them. He would bond with a being – or a few beings in an area – stay with them throughout their lifetime, then move on once he had no remaining connections in that area. It wasn’t always easy, but there was a comforting rhythm to it all that he found a way to embrace. Better to embrace what he was than to wallow in the painful endlessness of it.
Eventually, he found his way onto a planet called Zen-Whoberi, and it was there that what Milo was as an infinity stone felt monumental for the first time. It was there that, for the first time, he realized how much of his peaceful life he’d taken for granted. It was there that he first failed a protectorate… and he failed all of his Zehobereian protectorates as he, unused to taking part in such violent battles, reacted too slowly to Thanos’ annihilating attack on the planet.
He was taken off-guard, and for that, he was taken hostage by the Mad Titan, alongside a lone Zehobereian girl. Thanos separated him from the girl before Milo could so much as get a good look at her, and it wasn’t long before Milo was ashamed to admit that, in his own misery, he almost forgot about the girl. Thanos had him tortured, toying with him and experimenting on him, and at the first available second, Milo took what was as good as the coward’s way out and transformed back into his rarely used stone form. The experimentation continued, but it hurt less in this form, and Milo did his best to make himself seem as unpowerful as he felt he was in their clutches.
The Avengers:
Still, his captors already knew somehow, what he was and at least some of what he could do. They used him, while he fought them all the while, to bend the minds of other captives, and for the first time ever, Milo thought it better to fight against forming bonds – because they would be with people who he knew hated his presence anyway. But even Milo’s willpower was weakening, and when he found himself “gifted” to one of the Titan’s soldiers, when he was finally outside the Titan’s grasp – no matter how slightly – with Loki Odinsson, he finally allowed himself to breathe for just a second, to allow himself to form one bond – just the one, surely, he could recapture some of his decency, protect this one being somehow.
But in allowing himself to reach out just that once, he started something he’d never dreamed of, stepped into circles that he’d never imagined humans would be advanced enough to touch. He bonded with Loki, and Loki, still viciously under the Titan’s control, used him to others’ hurt, and to control the minds of innocent and good people even while he screamed internally at what the Titan had done to him.
One of the people that Loki used Milo against was SHIELD agent Clint Barton, another good man, a good person who was good at what he did and had an incredibly strong will. Maybe this one, too, he could help get away from this nightmare somehow. When he felt the pull towards a bond with Barton, he allowed it to happen, hoping against his hopelessness that they could do some good together. Before that could happen, Loki was captured by SHIELD – all part of his plan – and Milo was separated from Barton and the Jotun.
The bickering of this struggling “team” of superheroes distressed him further while he rested in their labs, not willing to further complicate things for Barton and Loki by showing his human form. He was still afraid of what would happen if the Titan returned for him and Loki – in his scrambled thoughts, he just knew that he didn’t want anyone else to die because of him – and so he stayed in his stone form. Later, he would regret that he hadn’t taken the chance to speak when he had it, but in the moment, it was almost a relief when Loki snatched him away from the Avengers in the middle of a firefight.
The relief was short-lived, as Loki killed Agent Coulson and proceeded to wreak havoc on New York City. Rare moments of relief came only as Agent Barton reclaimed his own mind, Loki’s mind slipped in and out of Milo’s reach, and Tony Stark evaded his hold entirely, thanks to his arc reactor.
Thankfully, blessedly, in the end, the Avengers got their act together, and they won. Agent Romanoff used the scepter Milo was a part of to shut down the portal that Loki had activated with Tess, Milo’s sister, the Space Stone, and they won. The Avengers beat Loki – not Thanos, but Loki, and for now that was enough. For the moment, the world was safe. But the safety of the world, Milo discovered, did not automatically imply his own safety. Prince Thor took Loki and Tess back to Asgard, but Milo, still badly shaken from his time with Thanos remained silent, in his stone form in the scepter, and with SHIELD.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron:
Until SHIELD itself fell, rife with double agents and Nazis. One such double agent delivered the scepter, with Milo still encased in it, to a HYDRA facility, where they quite happily began to experiment on him – and to experiment on human beings while using him. Feeling like he’d barely had time to breathe, let alone recover, from the last time he’d been used in such a way, Milo was ashamed of how little he fought his captors this time.
Instead, he chose to come up alongside the mind of the girl most affected by Strucker’s experiments, Wanda Maximoff. He reasoned that bonding with her was the least he could do to help her in the face of the painful beginning she’d had, and it didn’t even particularly tax him. He was still bonded to Loki and Clint, but that had never stopped him from reaching for other connections before, especially when he was currently so far away from the men. Now, he just had Wanda, too, to check in on and help should she ever need it. Forming a new bond helped Milo feel more normal than he had since he’d been forced off the destroyed Zen-Whoberi – more in possession of his own agency than he had been since Thanos had first began to hurt him.
So, when he was put in yet another inhumane spot, made by Ultron to control the brilliant mind of Helen Cho for even a few minutes, Milo didn’t think twice – he didn’t let himself think about what was happening to him much at all anymore – before he bonded with her, too. Reclaiming his autonomy where he felt like he could without admitting that by now he was pretty sure he was as much a villain as any of the people who’d hurt him.
But the people that his captors forced him to share his powers with, the minds he was made to invade, were only the beginning – only the start of all the ways the universe could force him to surrender his autonomy while in his stone state. Maybe, he would consider years later, it was partially his own fault for remaining in his stone form the whole time they’d known of him. He could’ve told them the whole truth, after all, but his time with Thanos had left him so scarred and afraid of what he’d become that he didn’t bother. Instead, when he was reclaimed by the Avengers only to be recaptured by Ultron, he submitted to it all in silence.
After years of hanging in the worst sort of living stasis in the scepter, something awoke in Milo’s own mind when Ultron released him from the jewel casing, but not quickly enough for him to react. He was still in his stone form when, a second later, he was dropped into the forehead of an android, the powers concentrated in his stone form becoming a part of the droid. This, too, Milo submitted to before he could really even think to fight back. This way, he reasoned, he could finally get some real rest. This way, at least he would really have to stay in one place and just be without fear of someone taking him and using him in some terrible way.
He bonded with Vision as the android formed, almost out of some broken sort of habit by now, completely unsure what good it would even do to have bonds when he was clearly going to be devoted to Vision alone, going forward. He could feel himself becoming something else, something lesser, as he became a part of Vision, but he knew that for once, it was too late; there genuinely was nothing he could do. If he tried to change what was happening to him, he would kill Vision, and he’d had more than enough death on his account. For the last time – for what he was determined would be the last time – he submitted himself to the disastrous plan of another; Milo gave up himself and became a part of Vision.
Pre-Captain America: Civil War:
Milo was not as gone within Vision as he had expected to be, though. As Vision grew closer to the Avengers, became a part of the team of misfit superheroes, even buried within him, Milo felt the pull of more bonds trying to form. Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, the men who’s interest he had pricked in the first place – men who were each so broken in their own ways – needed him, too, and so, useless as it felt, he allowed for the bonds that were trying to form.
Being with the Avengers, being a part of Vision was an indescribably strange experience for Milo. He was not gone within Vision, as he had expected to be, but he felt very much as if someone had… taken him offline, given him the space to just be that he had so desperately craved. Even within his stone state, he pulled further within himself, taking the time to use his own powers for himself and heal his own mind while he had no one else to worry about for once.
Healing as his own being was both a much-needed, necessary thing, and a terribly frustrating revelation for Milo. The mind of the Mind Stone was more stable than it had been in years, but it was while he was still trapped within Vision, far more trapped now than he had ever been within the casing of the scepter.
Despite all of the bonds that he had formed – with Clint, Loki, Tony, Helen, Bruce, Wanda, and Vision himself – it was only with Wanda that he felt a little less trapped in Vision. Vision was his own being who could – and unknowingly did – ignore Milo’s existence; Milo couldn’t ignore Vision’s presence. Wanda was the only thing that they completely agreed upon; Wanda was the one that they learned to love together. Both Milo and Vision cared about their teammates, and around those people, Milo could at least be content within Vision. With time, once again trying to keep his own sanity within a different sort of captivity, Milo convinced himself that “content” was enough for him.
Captain America: Civil War:
Maybe that was why it killed Milo so much when his team, his makeshift family, became so at odds with one another that they took up sides and weapons against each other. With Clint and Wanda siding with Captain Rogers and Vision standing with Tony, there was no way for Milo to feel like he was winning. Not when the Accords that they were fighting over felt petty to him in the grand scheme of things in the first place. Never before had he felt so torn between his protectorates, never before had he felt like such a helpless spectator during his time with Vision. It was almost as bad as his time in the scepter, and he hated it.
Avengers: Infinity War
But not as much as he hated being within Thanos’ control again, he knew that much before it even happened. Unlike his siblings, Milo was only held within the gauntlet for a few minutes, but those minutes felt like a lifetime. It was a good thing, he’d decide later, that he hadn’t really had time to dwell on it. Sure, he’d been unbearably anxious during the fight with Thanos, knowing that the Mad Titan wanted him once again, knowing that he already had Milo’s siblings, but in his time within the scepter and Vision, he had forgotten how strong the Stone siblings were together.
The moment they were together again, the siblings used Milo’s abilities to telepathically form a plan to outsmart their captor. Arthur could use his powers to manipulate what Thanos saw, to make him think his snap had worked. Tess could transport him to the Soul Realm, and Solomon could ensure he was properly banished, trapped there for all of time. No further muss, fuss, or loss of innocent lives. So, they carried out their plan, the snap never actually occurred, and finally, finally the fight with Thanos was over.
Milo almost couldn’t believe it. Bolstered by his reunion with his siblings, he transformed into his human form as soon as he could. Following that, his main concern was ensuring Vision’s survival, which T’Challa and Shuri assured them Shuri was capable of handling. Once he was sure that everyone who mattered was safe and sound, Milo was left with the staggering decision of what he did next – what move he wanted to make for himself after the last years – in ways, a whole lifetime – of living in the service of others.
Post-Avengers: Infinity War
In the end, he chose to return to the Avengers Compound, and in that way, not much changed for him, except everything had changed. He had found a way to be himself, to be just Milo, once again, and it felt like finally breaking through the surface of the ocean and refilling his lungs with air after he’d been convinced that he would drown underneath the weight of the past years. He promised himself that he would never again revert to his stone form – there was far more autonomy to be had as a human, and he never again wanted to feel that slipping away – and he recommitted himself to fighting the same fight that Vision had been fighting with the Avengers. He was a fully recognized being, with a team to look out for, and for the first time in a long time, what he had was truly enough for him to be happy.

As I said yesterday, I am going to end up dropping some threads because I’m just so overwhelmed with my draft count at the moment.
Today, I’ve gone through my drafts and thread tracker and I’ve gotten rid of some drafts that were in my drafts folder as well as some threads that were not on me. I also cleared out some old threads that haven’t been replied to in months. These threads are either really old and haven’t been replied to in a long time or I have just lost the muse to work on them. I really don’t like having to drop threads (especially active ones), but these threads are just giving me such a hard time and I think it’s time to let them go.
If you’re on this list, please don’t be offended. I’m not dropping your thread because I don’t like you/don’t want to rp with you/hate your writing/anything personal against you. If you’re on this list and you’d like to keep a thread or plot something new, feel free to send me a message.
I’m always open for plotting (I encourage it, really. I love plotting), but for my own sake, I need to get rid of some old stuff.
You can check out my current and up-to-date thread tracker here. If you should be on here/you have an active thread with me that’s not on here, please let me know so I can add you.

Angrboda
Status: semi-active
Face-claim: Katie McGrath
Biography:
If Sigyn is the sun, then Angrboda is the moon. She’s a warrior, dark, mysterious, and hardened, or at least she oftentimes purposely appears to be so. She’s grown up on Jotunheim, in a world of jagged edges and ice, and oftentimes it seems as if those shards of ice have embedded themselves into her very heart and soul. Over time, she’s learned the hard way to trust no one, and to truly earn her trust is a great feat.
Which isn’t to say that she can’t fake trust, if it’s in her best interest. She’s lived eons, and has learned to use everything at her disposal as a weapon. The handling of swords, axes, even simple slingshots, is second-nature to her, and she feels most at home with one of them in her hands. But brute force isn’t the only thing she’s capable of. She’s learned to think nothing of using her own body to get her way, and is known to be as ruthless a seductress as she is a warrior.
But for all that she is capable of, she’s made it nearly impossible for herself to forge true connections with others, be they mortals, Asgardians, or other Jotuns. Because she believes that no one ought to trust her - and maybe she’s right - she trusts no one. Ice, she sees, is not just darkly beautiful. Too much of it, and it becomes desolate… lonely. But she doesn’t know how to fix that in her own life. Most days, she’s not even sure that she wants to.
In all of the Nine Realms, there has only ever been eight beings that she’s fully allowed herself to care for. Loki, Norns help them both, was the first to ever really get past her defenses - not that he was supposed to. He was handsome in his own way, and seemed susceptible to her charms. She thought she’d have a bit of fun with him, and then be done, walk away with another’s broken heart in her hand, just like she’d done a hundred times before. Only… she fell a little bit in love, despite herself.
It was his magic that truly lashed them together, when she bore him a son, Fenrir. Innumerable years before, she’d paid handsomely to have a spell enacted upon her body so that she would never conceive. Loki’s magic, however, bypassed that spell, and so she became the mother of Loki’s children - not just once, but three times over - to sons Fenrir and Jormungander, and daughter, Hela. Though her relationships with her children are often… difficult, let it never be said that she doesn’t love them. She does - fiercely so, to the point of death if the need should ever arise.
At some point throughout the years - she truly hasn’t bothered to remember when - she met Loki’s wife, Sigyn, and, against all odds, has - after many years - come to consider her a friend, as well as she feels she can understand the concept. Loki and Sigyn’s sons - Narfi and Vali - have earned a place in whatever remains of Angrboda’s heart, as well, as has Loki’s oldest son, Sleipnir.
Beyond that… well, suffice to say that it would be best to approach this lover of Loki’s with the greatest caution.

Verses - Loki
Verse: Worlds Beyond Default. Canon-divergent: ignores everything after Infinity War/Endgame Concerned his presence might bode ill for Thor and the refugees, Loki opts to go his own way on arrival to Midgard. He takes a mortal guise, going by the name of Luka Olhauser, and settles in New York to run a small bookstore cafe called Worlds Beyond. Whether this life gives him more peace than the other is anyone's guess. He's recently discovered that his shop (and the apartment he lives in above it) is located in the building that once housed a neighborhood bar often frequented by Steve Rogers and his friend Bucky. FC is Tom Hiddleston as Henry V/Prince Hal.
Verse: Prodigal Son Canon-divergent: ignores everything after Thor: Ragnarok Loki has redeemed himself, at least in part, during the battle against Hela and the destruction of Asgard. He now travels at his brother's side with the refugees, uncertain of what his reception will be when they reach Midgard; after all, last time he was there he tried to destroy an entire city.
Verse: Infinity Rising Canon-Divergent: ignores everything after Infinity War/Endgame Once again Loki's healing abilities have outmatched the will of those who wished him dead; this time, however, it was planned. What wasn't planned was the refugee ship exploding before he could fully recover and wake. Now separated from Thor - who he can only hope still lives, though he fears the worst - Loki feels something of a responsibility to what refugees still remain. They have the last Valkyrie, of course, and the strange individual called Korg, but they still need a leader...and once again, in his brother's absence, Loki will step up because he must. But only until they find Thor again. He has to be out there somewhere...right?
Verse: Uneasy Lies the Head Post-TDW Loki remains in Asgard, ruling it in the guise of Odin. He is thought dead by just about everyone. While he may make the occasional jaunt to Midgard, for the most part he stays in his own realm and leaves Earth to his brother.
Verse: Halcyon Days Pre-Thor 1 Loki's childhood on Asgard, from the time of his abduction adoption by Odin to the days leading up to what should have been his brother's coronation
Verse: The Lone Jotun AU Rather than being left in a temple where he might be found, the severely undersized infant son of Laufey was abandoned to the ice fields of Jotunheim. Somehow he survived, living on his own, all but outcast from Jotun society due to his size - being but 6'4" fully grown, the rest of his kind tower over him and see him as weak. He discovered the ways between realms in his childhood wanderings, quickly became adept at using them, and through this found ways to teach himself seidr, among other things. Though he has since taught those who cast him out that he is not one to be trifled with or dealt with lightly, the lone Jotun has lived apart from others for most of his life, with no family and no name but that which he gave himself: Loki.
Verse: Of Myth and Man Strictly Norse Mythology. Loki is a trickster, an adopted son of the Aesir often out of favor with Odin and his adopted brothers, but just as often in their graces. FC is Jan Dennis Storhoi.

Angrboda
STATUS: semi-active
FACE-CLAIM: Katie McGrath
ORIENTATION: demiromantic pansexual
She does - fiercely so, to the point of death if the need should ever arise.

v: I am Loki and I am Alone
Once the eldest son of Laufey and Farbauti, Loki is now the son of none. Stripped of his first-born claim on the throne and exiled by his father, Loki is an stranger from what was his home and nearly every other world. Asgard despises his kind; Vanir look at them askance; and the outer worlds are no havens of rest or refuge for Jotun.
He had known his father resented his existence, but he had underestimated the true depths of Laufey’s distaste until the day of his banishment.
The solitude is deafening, but in the years of being alone he has developed his magic. His skill in it is as fluid as breathing and his power is immense and wild. He travels from Realm to Realm, using secret pathways he has uncovered over centuries of looking, and tries to remain relatively unnoticed and untouched.
Despite the years, there is something still royal, still noble, about him, beneath the feral exterior of a being too long hunted.
AU spin on a Jotun verse where Odin never took Loki and Loki lived for a century, or two, as Laufey’s son. After Helbindi, Laufey’s second eldest son, grew to be strong and capable, Laufey decided to exile Loki. He covered up his eldest son’s disappearance with the story that Loki had finally succumbed to his runtish health and died, but that was far from the truth.
Prince Loki of Jotunheim is now an exile and a wanderer, as well as a powerful magic-user. He is untamed, noble, broken, strong, and lonely… and the Norns only know what his future holds.

❀ = Do they use stimulus to help them sleep? (e.g. candles, music, aromatherapy)
Bedtime Headcanons 💤
Not as a rule. A gentle breeze is a pleasant background filler for silence, but he is not fond of strong smells or, especially, lyrical music when he is trying to rest (unless he is exhausted and plagued by sleep-stealing nightmares, or trapped in the dungeons). Darkness and silence were two rules for sleep back on Asgard, and that has not much changed, beyond him liking something to ease the darkness now, and a subtle sound - like Sigyn’s breathing - to ensure it is not an ear-ringing silence.
The only particular stimulus that can help him fall asleep is Sigyn running her fingers through his hair.
(Any more lonely version of Loki might enjoy music to help him fall asleep. Never Alone Verse Loki sleeps sparingly and both hates and loves silence. Jotun Loki enjoys some manner of candle light or glow. Any version of imprisoned Loki would choose music to drown out the dungeon noise and give his mind stimulation beyond tearing itself apart; in addition, an incarcerated Loki will be sleeping only when he has driven himself to the point where he cannot function without rest, so he might use music as a way to either keep himself awake or ease himself into sleep.)
