If my shoulder is going to be mysteriously injured, could it at least have the courtesy to have any consistency in activities that make it hurt vs ones that don't? Because I'm trying to figure out what I should and shouldn't be doing and I am getting zero helpful feedback. Cone on body, we're supposed to be a team. Help me out a bit!

#sharpie says shit#house md#hate crimes md#greg house#seriously he went off of vicodin to fkn ibuprofen???#dude was consistently still in pain while on an opiate there's no way otc medication could put a dent in his pain levels#nvm the whole placebo morphine shot meaning 'the pain was in his head'#no SHIT the pain is in his head THAT'S WHERE ALL PAIN IS#and physical pain DOES RESPOND to placebos#sometimes even better than psychosomatic pain!!!!!#the writers found out what psychosomatic pain is and applied it to house when there's a clear physical source of the pain#also!!!! he wasn't addicted to vicodin (at least up til season 5-ish)#he was dependent! because it's pain medication and he hurts!!!!#you can tell because he didn't reach for vicodin at all post-ketamine until he felt his leg hurt again!!!!#if he was addicted (and not dependent) he would've wanted the vicodin even when he didn't need it for pain#anyways i have too many opinions on this dumb show#also there's probably a neuropathic component to the pain because they cut off a bunch of thigh muscle#which means there are neurons kinda just firing into nothing

I'm mad at myself that I didnt end up telling the person looking at my ear about my concerns about taking too many pain pills, and didn't ask questions about anything really. That always happens, I never feel 100% satisfied when I visit someplace medical. Theres always a huge chunk of Care missing. They rush and I feel like a bother.
I hate to say it but if I didn't have my mum with me I'd be useless. I wouldn't have even gone because there would be too many unknown factors in the situation. Shoulda taken her with me while getting looked at, but theres shame involved with almost being 30 and not being able to advocate for myself.
#i was in the car asking my mum a million questions: what was the pill they gave me? should i stop using the ear drops i was using?#just like on the car ride there: what happens when I get there? do i take a number then wait?#and just like how i asked questions there: is it ok to stand here? booth 4 is open do i go there? am i up next?#there was nothing telling me how things are supposed to go. a woman that was waiting (presumably a long time) was nice of her to tell me to#go to booth 3 when it opened. but how was i supposed to know#?#ugh! do you see why i hate going to the doctors?#anyway. its 6am im just waiting for the pain pills to kick in again#like clockwork it wakes me up around 1am then around 5am#maybe i can ask the pharmacy about slow release stuff?#anyway still taking a shit tonne of ibuprofen on an empty stomach while lying down#and then of course i feel overwhelmed and cant stand the thought of going to work the next day#why does dealing with anything human stress me out so much#??#sigh....#personable

told my coworker I just started elden ring and he was like fuck me playing souls games is more stressful than a full time job I had to quit ER when I started this job so I could just chill out when I got home instead.... 💀
#I didnt even start the conversation he just remembered im into rogues/souls and was making small talk.. sweet guy#i think ive won his respect by being a souls fan 🫡#ive only played a couple hours so far (and lets be real. most of that was in character creator) but its really fun ive been thinking abt#it at work all day.... the fights are challenging but actually not as difficult as i thought considering how much ppl complain#like it feels very fair + the fight patterns are easier to pick up than most rogue bosses tbh. im a little clumsy bc i dont play many#3d games but ill get the hang of it..#also looooove the visuals + music. goes without saying tbh#i wanna make fanart of the character im playing as already teehee#if i get home and eat and shower relatively quickly i can probably play another 2 hours lets goooo#feeling so much more normal today i love mondays my best friend mondays. my period did start at work tho which suuucked#me titrating this substrate w a white knuckle grip on the pipette trying not to crumple in half over the bench and weep#ibuprofen does nothing for me..... i need to get some more cocodamol even if it does make me kinda drowsy#i dunno how im gonna survive periods when im back titrating meds again bc i cant take any nsaids... well. cross that bridge ig#anywaaay. bus was on time so should be home before 6 today woohoo#.diaries

aw man. for a minute there I thought I might be allowed to take Ibuprofen again since I stopped taking the antidepressant that I was on. but sadly no, you're also not supposed to take it when you're on the anxiety medication I'm on 😔
#I guess I could take it anyway... but the leaflet says not to so I won't#this reminds me of thr last qtime I went to the ER because of my stomach pain (that turned out to be gallstones)#before I went there I called the.. idk on call emergency doctor or whatever#and it was this awful awful woman. anyway she said I should just take Ibuprofen so I said I'm not allowed to take that because it's a#blood thinner and I'm not allowed to take those#and she was really mad and said no it's not. it's pain medication 🙄#I was in so much pain and also kind of stunned by her reaction so I just. hung up#like I know it's not. I guess technically considered a blood thinner? but it does increase the risk of bleeding and that's why you can't#take it with certain other meds#which I think is irrelevant tbh. it's pretty clear what I meant and it's kind of. scary that this doctor would tell someone who says they'r#not allowed to take Ibuprofen to take it anyway. especially since I was having extremely bad stomach pain with no known cause at that point#like that feels dangerous#but anyway what do I know (nothing)#I miss Ibuprofen though 😔 I hate paracetamol#personal#cw medical#(also just. generally. being told to 'just take Ibuprofen' when you've already told this person that you've taken a looot of stronger pain#meds already and they're not doing anything at all is just. wow such great advice thank you! so helpful!)#(I mean I'm glad she was useless because that's why I went to the ER and they finally found out what's wrong. but still 🙄)

i had 2 stay home from school 2day bc my mouth hasnt stopped hurting yet and obvs i cant bring pain pills 2 school. my mouth hasnt gotten any better since the day of the surgery so i may have 2 stay home 2morrow as well. the oral surgeon said i need 2 come in i think 2morrow afternoon if my mouth still doesn't feel better so that's not concerning at all /s
#every night ive been waking up w excruciating pain bc i have 2 take ibuprofen every 8 hours#and the time i have 2 take it keeps winding up being at like 2 am. i tried setting alarms so i can take it on time and see if that helps#but it does not :( my mouth hurts so fucking bad every night. im so sleep deprived :(#i woke up sweating and crying at 3 am this morning bc my mouth hurt so bad#not 2 mention i miss food :(#my family had hamburgers last night and i couldnt eat one and i was sooo sad#it's a lil silly but i did cry abt it bc i feel like ill never get better :( nothing is improving

For years the worst pain that I get comes from the weather. And there is nothing - not a drug, massage, hot bath, stretching that will dim it. And you know how pain is ranked from 1 - 10? The pain is so overwhelming that I would call it a ten. If I’m lucky I pass out.

did you know chronic headache sucks. It is currently illegal to take the amount of medication I need to not be in pain every 24 hours
