The Qur'an Revisited: Sura 76:18 The word Salsabil (سَلْسَبِيل) occurs only once in the Qur'an. It is often translated as a spring in Paradise. But it is not that simple. https://arabic-for-nerds.com/islam/the-quran-revisited/sura-76-18/?feed_id=5240&utm_source=Tumblr&utm_medium=geralddrissner&utm_campaign=FS%20Poster

fütûhât-ı mekkiyye on sekiz cilt, beş yüz altmış bölüm. birinci cildi için tüm kitaba giriş niteliğinde diyebiliriz. kitabın bu cildinde arabi, vahdet-i vücut, harf, kelime, esma-i hüsna, mertebe, makam, nispet (sıfat), zat, tezahür, bâtın gibi felsefesinin temel kavramları üzerinde durmakla beraber ilimlerin sınıflandırılmasını yapmıştır. (..)

"Know that God is never in anything, nor is anything in Him. He is neither inside nor outside anything. None can see Him, whether with the eyes of the head or ... with the inner eye; nor can any conceive Him with senses, knowledge, mind, intelligence or imagination. Only He can see Himself; only He can conceive Himself. None can know Him; only He can know Himself. He sees Himself by Himself; He conceives Himself by Himself; He knows Himself by Himself. None other than He can see Him. None other than He can know Him. That which hides Him is His oneness. None but He can hide Him. The veil that hides Him is His own being."
–– Ibn Arabi.

Alchemy and the Hidden Secret
Tumblr media
“Alchemy for [Henry] Corbin is essentially the inner, spiritual work of attaining union between the human soul and its heavenly counterpart within the mysterious ground of the ‘hidden secret’ pointed to by the symbolic image. This is the intermediate place between spirit and matter, the mundus imaginalis, where the spiritual world assumes an objective reality, and where the transmutation of the prima materia of the human psyche into the subtle or spiritual body is the work of an alchemical opus that involves encounter with an angelic presence through the faculty of the active imagination.”
~ Angela Voss, “Becoming an Angel: the mundus imaginalis of Henry Corbin and the Platonic path of self knowledge”.

How long will it take us to realize this truth? A lifetime? An instant? And are you ready to fully realize it - by totally letting go of yourself? Is it so important, to be you? EvE: Marriage of Earth & Ether
Descending from above below, Is that engrossing providence, Of wholly unseen world aglow, That lurks within the elements.
And for the soul of one I know, That since finding proper balance, They've realized great subtle joy, And are bewitched by its silence.
Then by this mystic union bears, Song of poets and wisdom shared; Fluent thought; virtuosity; And consummate child, fair Beauty.
Henceforth divine above divines, Does grant to all in the dowry, Hidden world of hidden glory. Oh, but only for those who see.
So seek the unseen world's descent. Yes, listen for its symphony. It leaves its mark without consent. Keep watch now for its company.
High it strides a steed to purpose; To make confusion of constraint. Yet wielding swords of eloquence, Cuts not but for a truth's own sake.
See now how all before it bow; Saintly king and warrior's crown. All enraptured so acutely, By flawless child of fair Beauty.
What allure remains in body, That temptation may be measured? Such appeal is not the only, That great divine grants us pleasure.
We see shapes, as in a mirror, A faint reflect of Beauty's force. Thus such feelings heart aquiver, Must surely hail by Beauty's source.
Know then divine has no equal, For its not only greed and youth, That which tempts a heart to evil, For like evil, within is Truth.
