To some, Cass’s love of the sun might be expected, something clear as day; of course she would, as a daughter of Apollo. But her lineage was never the sole reason why she liked it.

No, it reminded her of the mornings getting ready with her siblings, the afternoons of training with the other campers, the evenings where it would set over Long Island South and people would gather around the campfire. 

With her powers, sunlight was her constant companion, even in a world so far from home. It had always found its own way to envelop what was dear to her and now it wrapped around her like a familiar song. In quiet moments, when she closed her eyes and soaked in its warmth, she could almost hear the melody of life back home.

“Oi, herbivore, you’re late.” 

“That’s because, unlike someone I know, I attend classes.”

It was a great reassurance that, despite their differences, their worlds shared some similarities as well. Between the lush greenery of the botanical gardens, Cass could see the setting sun, tinting the world in that fleeting golden glow as the night approached fast. And yet she couldn’t help but relish in this fragile moment, hoping it would last just a little longer.

some more yapping about cassandra under the cut bc this is the first time i mention her on main (i will write a proper intro for her... one day)

cassandra is my twst yuusona and is, as you may or may not have figured out, a demi god from the percy jackson universe. so she's not twsited from someone, she just got yoinked from camp half-blood into nrc. due to her being a half-god, she's used to a lot of magical nonsense, which means very little in twisted wonderland actually fazes her.

as a daughter of apollo, the sun is naturally a big symbol for her and that's also true for the guy i'm shipping her with, leona. where cass is the sunrise, leona is the sunset and it's a great visualisation of their relationship; they're too similar and yet too different in some areas for them to hit it off on the right note, yet they can't deny there's something there did someone say enemies to lovers (there is one major dissonance between them that i will elaborate on in the future, i'm just keeping it surface-level here)

and bc they both have a sun motif, i'm naming the ship "golden hour" for now, which is why they're meeting during golden hour here

He lights them all and sings Happy Birthday to his husband in the lowlight of their kitchen, his arms wrapped around Mickey’s waist and his voice soft. Mickey’s cheeks turn pink, and Ian pretends not to notice. He makes him blow out the candles anyways.

“You have to try them all,” Ian tells him. “Have to?” “Legally required.” “I don’t remember signing a contract.” “It’s written in between the lines of our marriage license.”

“Staring out the window’s not gonna make the snow stop.” Ian’s trying to keep it light. 

Afterall, neither of them expected to be stuck in a storm with their least favorite person.

Mickey turns to glare at him. “You try spoonin’ me, your ass’ll be on the floor.” 

The nicotine’s making Ian’s head buzz. They gotta get through just one night... In only one bed.

I just think it’s weird that almost everyone else that szn was being aggressive or fighting with her but it’s ian that gets singled out and criticised again. I hate when people pit them against eo cause they are my favourites 🥲

no, i didn’t. and i’ve said this before. it wasn’t ian’s words THERE i took seriously, it was the intent john wells had, and the fact that it was a common pattern in s11 to have her be the punchline of every joke when before, it was nothing like that.
