Good Morning,

 As I was scrolling down my feed on my instagram page @sayanyao I came across this story of Cyntoia Brown. I honestly couldn’t understand why a 16 year old got sentenced after she had been repeatedly abused for so long. Cyntoia got kidnapped, raped and abused against her own will so how could someone possibly see this as a crime when all she did was free herself from such misery.

 I understand the Law is the Law but let’s be honest here, if this was your child or your sibling; would you actually consider this a crime? I would’ve killed him too and let me explain why. I would’ve killed this monster “cut throat” for drugging me, abusing me and selling me to men against my will especially at the age of 16.

 If I had the opportunity to kill him on the spot, I definitely would’ve without even thinking twice because just imagine going through such misery every single day and not knowing what to expect from all these different men. Now, if Cyntoia has no way of proving the fact that she did this as self defense then what does that mean for mothers or fathers who find their child being raped and kills the rapist? Is that also considered murder? I would consider that JUSTICE!!!

 Why? Once again, because we already know the Justice system doesn’t work that way and the rapist will be freed after a couple of months. So why not take matters into my own hands? How could you not react with such anger?

We need Justice for Cyntoia Brown and many others out here who are just like Cyntoia Brown!!

 It’s honestly heartbreaking to know that Chicago is really Chiraq!

 When Kanye would mention “Chiraq” I really didn’t understand how serious murders were in Chicago on a daily basis. I’m talking about you can be just walking down the street and you’ll get shot at for no apparent reason.

 You can be walking, minding your business and get shot with a stray bullet. The video above shows exactly what happens on the South Side of Chicago and what I’m about to describe next; is even more disturbing.

 According to the news and other sources, there has been 124 murders already just within this year! In the month of January 2017, someone was getting murdered every single day. Last year,  762 murders and this was the highest it’s been in 20 years!

 My question is how are all these guns getting on the streets? I remember watching a video on Worldstarhiphop.com about a retired gang member saying that he has seen black cars drop off boxes of guns all over South side. He also mentioned that he feels like it’s the Government doing this because there are no gun shops in south side Chicago. 

 Plus, no one can really afford to buy one so how are these gangs, teenagers and people in general; are getting their hands on all different kinds of guns?

“City officers made 10% more gun arrests in 2016 and confiscated 8,300 guns, a 20% increase from 2015, the release said”- CNN. 

They’re really at WAR with themselves “SMH”

 The saddest part about all of this is, people have to live their lives worried about if they might get killed today, tonight, tomorrow, the next day or in a blink of an eye! We tend to complain so much about certain things in life but be grateful that you’re not living in a area where you have to worry about possibly dying TODAY!

 My deepest condolences to the family of the innocent 2 year old and the rest who were murdered in this Facebook Live Shooting. +

Stay aware and I pray things get better especially for the Children’s future!
