First of all, I wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who responded in the comments! If you're looking for content creators that are generally positive and a lot of fun to watch, here is a (non-exhaustive, in no particular order) list:
Michael Bryan. Found on youtube and twitch. He just recently played through all of DAI + the DLCs, and he's already stated he will stream Veilguard.
Seeley Clive. Found on youtube, is currently playing through DAI
Welonz. Found on YT. Is currently playing through BG3 and Silent Hill, but she has stated on twitter that she will eventually stream Veilguard.
Jackdaw. Found on YT, he's been posting lots about Veilguard. I don't know if he'll stream the game, but I'm sure he'll be making lore videos and the like.
Unifadewalker. Found on YT and TW, he was at the creator event a while ago and has been making videos leading up to release. He also got a review copy of the game and his spoiler-free review is coming out on Oct. 28!
Mapocolops. Found on YT and TW. He played DAI about a year ago and has been playing other games since then, although I'm sure he will eventually play Veilguard.
Dawnwhisper. Found on YT and TW, she got an advanced copy of the game and her full review is coming out soon!! She has also been making videos about Veilguard since the creator event.
Megmage. Found on YT and TW. She's been playing lots of different games recently, but she has stated that she's excited to play Veilguard!
Knight 1029. Found on YT. He has been making lots of Veilguard videos recently. I don't know if he'll stream the game, but he'll definitely talk about it :)
iambrandon. Found on YT and TW. I'm pretty sure he was at the creator event (but I could be wrong). He's been making lots of Veilguard videos recently, I'm sure he will stream it once it comes out.
Kala Elizabeth. Found on YT, I don't think she'll stream the game but she was at the creator event and has been dropping lore/speculation videos for a while. She received an advanced copy of the game and her review is incoming!
Ghil Dirthalen. Found on YT. She has also been making lots of lore/speculation videos, although I don't think she'll stream the game. Has also received an advanced copy and her review is coming soon!
Again, massive thank you to everyone who responded in the comments! As I said, this is a non-exhaustive list, but if you're just getting into the fandom and want to watch lore videos/streams by lovely people, these all seem to be a good bunch.
Happy viewing!
Does anyone know of any good Dragon Age youtubers/streamers? I'm tired of looking up Veilguard on youtube and only seeing negative grifters!
I know Michael Bryan is good, is there anyone else you'd recommend?

GZA: "I guess I remember it well because he [RZA] had a black and red checkerboard, but the pieces were like clear plastic neon. And they were weird colored, and they were caked in green. And he showed me the names of the pieces and how they moved. I really started to play with Masta Killa." RZA: "I learned at the age of 11, and it was the same girl that took my virginity. So

Diversity is one of the big reasons I prefer Dimension 20 to Critical Role. Dimension 20 makes a point out of having POC in the cast and telling POC stories within the show. They also have more LGBTQ+ people who play LGBTQ+ characters and it all feels much more realistic and homey than watching a bunch of white people tell their stories. I really think since Critical Role has a much larger audience that they need to put the work in to make both what happens on and off screen involve more POC
I agree. D20/Rivals of Waterdeep have proven that there are ways to make ttrpg streams more inclusive. CR is way behind the ball when it comes to race inclusion.
If you’re looking to expand your ttrpg entertainment, start with Rivals of Waterdeep. Dimension 20 is also great. I also recommend following the individual twitch channels of Tanya (cypheroftyr) and Brandon (iambrandon) bc they post streams multiple times a week.
I do encourage all my followers to check out shows and media which is more inclusive. And if you find a show you like, follow its creators on twitter/socials. The first step to expanding your understanding of your privilege is changing who you’re listening to.

Twitch launches a ‘how-to’ site for streamers, Twitch Creator Camp
Twitch wants more people to stream, so it’s going to begin teaching them how. The video game streaming site today announced the launch of Twitch Creator Camp, a new educational resource that helps newcomers learn the basics of streaming, as well as how to build up a channel, connect with fans, and earn rewards.
The launch of the how-to site comes about a week after an article by The Verge detailed the long tail of Twitch streamers, with a focus on those who spend years broadcasting to no one in the hopes of one day gaining a following.
The article raised the question that, in the age of live streaming, where every major social company – including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube – today offers easy streaming tools, there many not be enough of an audience for all the content creators are producing.
Twitch, apparently, believes the issue is one that can be addressed – at least in part – by training new streamers.
On Twitch Creator Camp, the company is bringing in successful creators to help educate the would-be streamers on a variety of often-discussed topics. These insights will be shared as articles, videos and live streams.
At launch, the site includes content focused on a variety of streaming best practices, including the basics of setting up a channel, building a brand, leveraging their stats, using Twitch features like emotes, badges and extensions, and more.
Streamers will also learn how to better network with others and engage their audience, as well as how to optimize their channel for monetization through subscriptions, merchandise, ads and sponsorships.
In addition, creators will begin live streaming on Creator Camp, starting on July 31 at 2 PM PT.
At this time, a number of Twitch Partners will answer general questions about streaming. A calendar of upcoming streams is also available on Twitch’s site, as the company aims to host weekly sessions going forward.
“Hosting a good stream isn’t easy. We’ve heard from many of our creators that they spend a lot of time searching for advice on effective tools, features, and techniques in order to make their broadcasts more engaging and to grow their communities,” said Jessica Messinger, Creator Growth Marketing Manager at Twitch, in a statement.
“Twitch Creator Camp makes things simpler by centralizing the most relevant information to a creator’s success, all of which is provided by Twitch and many of our successful Partners. We want to help our creators succeed and this is just the beginning,” she added.
Twitch says the partners it’s working with for Creator Camp are being compensated for their efforts. Currently, those participating include: Jericho, gassymexican, teawrex, JGhosty, pokket, firedragon, venalis, tominationtime, sypherpk, xmiramira, iamBrandon, DeejayKnight, Lobosjr, sacriel, PmsProxy, itmeJP, kaypealol, and Pokimane.
Twitch today has over 2.2 million broadcasters serving up streams on its site every month, which are consumed by 15 million daily active viewers who watch an average of 95 minutes of content daily. However, much of the on-site activity – just like on YouTube and elsewhere – is dominated by top creators.
Meanwhile, many of Twitch’s smaller streamers may already understand the basics and tips that Twitch’s Creator Camp is offering. For them, the issue is not one of following all the steps being laid out, but rather one of discovery.
Twitch has been working to address its discovery issues, too, having last month detailed a number of projects it’s working on across this front which are in various phases of development.
“We don’t believe Twitch should be a popularity contest” the company said at the time.
Twitch Creator Camp is open as of today, with the live streams starting at the end of the month.

Celebrate Pride Month with Twitch!
Tumblr media
Twitch is a place where everyone can be themselves, and this June, we’re standing with all of our LGBTQ+ viewers and streamers around the world to celebrate love during Pride Month. We’re highlighting LGBTQ+ creators, unveiling a bunch of new Pride shirts, taking part in the SF Pride Parade, and we’re partnering with the Human Rights Campaign¼ (HRC¼) to raise money for equality. There’s a LOT going on, so let’s get to it.
Watch LGBTQ+ Creators
There are so many great LGBTQ+ streamers on Twitch who use their channels to raise awareness while making great content. To celebrate them, we’re promoting an LGBTQ+ creator on the front page of Twitch every day in June. You can check out the full schedule at the end of this post.

Shirts for Everyone
Our new “Cheer for Equality” shirts are designed not just around the rainbow flag, but the bisexual, transgender, and lesbian flags as well. 100% of profit of each sale ($7 per tee) will be donated to the HRC¼, so pick up a great shirt and support a great cause.

Twitch Gets Involved
Every year, San Francisco hosts one of the oldest and largest Pride parades in the US. As SF is the home of Twitch, you can bet we’ll be there in full force. We’ll share highlights from SF Pride on Twitch’s social media, so stay tuned on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Once Pride Month wraps up, we’ll put together a video with info about how much money you raised for HRC¼, footage from the parade, and more.
We also teamed up with “It Gets Better” to empower LGBTQ+ Twitch staff to share their support and encourage LGBTQ+ youth all around the world. You can watch the video below, and if you think it could help someone who feels isolated, please share.

Emotes and Cheermotes
We’re adding four brand new global emotes to Twitch chat based on the t-shirt designs above, and Bits are getting in on the party too with a new rainbow flag Cheermote. You can use these in any chat, any time, to celebrate Pride Month. They’re both permanent additions, so don’t worry about them disappearing once June is over.

If you’d like to show your support for Pride Month by fundraising for HRC¼ on Twitch, click this link to get set up. Any creator who raises over $500 will receive a free shirt from the HRC¼ store, plus one additional shirt from Twitch as a thank you.
In addition to all this, you’re invited to share your TwitchUnity story with us by using #TwitchUnity on social media. Pride Month starts on June 1. Help us make it the best one yet!

Twitch pulls Black Lives Matter video criticised for being overwhelmingly white ‱ Eurogamer.net
Twitch has removed a Black Lives Matter video following criticism that too many of the featured streamers were white.
Published yesterday, the video featured prominent streamers such as jacksepticeye, CrankGameplays and DrLupo, and while a few Black streamers were briefly shown, most of the talking was done by white streamers. In fact, only one line in the minute-long video was from a Black streamer.
Black creators took to Twitter to express their dismay that the video had failed to properly represent Black people, highlighting the many streamers who would have been better suited to speak. Twitch has now deleted the video.
I’m sorry, but this is maddening to me. Twitch talks about the importance of #BLM
YET STILL
1. Has 90% of the talking done by white/nonblack people 2. Doesn’t promote any black streamers/content creators
Share and promote Black Twitch content, here or in retweets! pic.twitter.com/fMJ8DNq7yU

This is aggravating.
You can’t say ‘support black lives’ then put two black people in there, and purposely overshadow them with white creators that (are obviously) going to bring in millions.
Let me explain real fast. https://t.co/3xp7o4O33V

Oh hey, remember when I hosted a much needed #BLACKAFRoundtable on my channel for one (1) hour & these were the stats from it?
You have Black streamers who do the damn thing too, @Twitch. Black voices can speak for themselves. Support us by actually supporting us.

Support Black Creators

This is a whole bucket of fail. There’s a WHOLE LOT of Black Creators on here who not only speak out on this ALL THE TIME, but don’t get any credit for it.
Y’all are speaking over us. Highlight Black folks doing the work already. https://t.co/6X4toho32z

In response to the backlash, Twitch said it “heard” what critics were saying, but argued its goal was to demonstrate “the importance of allyship”, a message Twitch says it failed to make clear. In the replies to this tweet, many argued that Black voices should be given priority over allies, and that Twitch is yet to act on the video’s message of promoting Black content creators.
We hear you. Our goal was to demonstrate the importance of allyship – a message we didn?t make clear. Only by working together can we create a positive change.

This isn’t the only controversy Twitch has faced this week, as another video celebrating LGBTQ+ content creators was criticised for a slogan claiming the “G in LGBTQIA+ also stands for gamer” (via PinkNews). The video for this was deleted, and then reposted without the controversial graphic.
Twitch put out a video on pride and this was one of the tag lines. People are already confused about what each letter means.
It was deleted pic.twitter.com/1H7FwE8F7G
