JWCC 5×9 || JWCT 1x9

Would it be outlandish for me to say that BOTH Darius' and Brooklynn's feelings are unrequited??

You see, in Camp Cretaceous 5x9 we've got Darius feeling like a terrible friend because of his plan to trap Kenji and his dad as well as his general guilt for not being a better leader. And this all leads to the whole "You're light burns bright... no amount of bad choices could change that... I'll follow you anywhere".

Its a good scene.

THEN we get to Chaos Theory and were back to Darius' troubled emotions- primarly guilt. This time its about Brooklynn's "death". Episode 9 comes along and we find out why he didn't show up for her that night, through his conversation with Kenji. And my brain was trying to tell me there was a connection to be made between these two episodes.

Because, there's something about Brooklynn needing Darius to follow her despite the bad choices she may make. Like, reciprocating the same type of support she's given.

AND then I think about how his presence in one instance saves her and his absence in another "dooms" her. How he probably thinks about this too and wonders why he was so hesitant to provide the same type of support/loyalty.

So... I've just been thinking about that.
