Hair holds memories

In season 1 Jinx wanted to remember everything: Vi, Vander, Mylo, Claggor, Powder

and her hair could hold those memories for her, even if her mind would forget

In season 2, after everything happened, after Silco, Isha, losing Vander again. She couldn’t do it any more. She wanted to forget. So she cut her hair but it didn’t work, the memories didn’t go away so she cut it shorter, and shorter till there almost nothing left to cut. But the memories didn’t go away

and then she died. And she found her escape from the past then, there, in death
