lol, I mean, all of them end pretty hopeful, yeah? That's the best I can do.

Do you get hate on fics?

On a few of them, yeah. People can think what they want, I know sometimes I walk a thin line when it comes to the "happy" bits or I sometimes make characters a little more unlikeable (I mean I consider it more realistic) but I sometimes get push back on it. Usually it's when I'm doing Irondad and they are like aren't father/son within seconds of seeing each other, lol. Opps, sorry I like realism in my superhero fics!

On Edge of Your Name, some people found Charlie unrealistic but I didn't think so at all.

Yes! Slash mostly but I've done het and femslash in the past.

Ugh, so hard to answer this because I have so, so many OTPs, lol. I mean McShep is always at the top of my heart, but Narlie since it's fucking canon and oh yeah Ineffable Husbands will never not make my 12 year old heart beat faster.

What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Hm, there are a few. I've got an Irondad that's a Tony presumed dead that I'd like to get finished but it's so hard to keep Tony Stark presumed dead and not escape wherever he's at.

I've got a Charlie at uni fic that I really want to eventually finish but I lose steam on it everytime I try!

What are your writing strengths?

I think I can do dialogue pretty well at this point, I think I've mastered the flow of it.

New Deck Construction - Enraged Gates

I’ve always been intrigued by the enrage mechanic when it dropped. I wasn’t playing Magic during Ixalan. I’ve also been trying to make a Hold the Gates self-damage style deck that I started back during Return to Ravinca block. I’m ordering a bunch of cheap cards and want to see if I can build a cheap deck with Dinosaurs.

Brainstorming

First, we have Hold the Gates and a 4 pack of all the Naya gates and ways to search out gates

4x Hold the Gates 4x Selesnya Guildgate 4x Boros Guildgate 4x Gruul Guildgate 4x Gatecreeper Vine

At this point, we are brainstorming. There are no bad cards and we need to be open to different approaches.

Now we gather all the enrage creatures. Their effect is in parentheses

Deck Building

Let's do an easy grab. These are the core enablers

Gatecreeper Vine Hold the Gates

An easy task is the mass removal. These need to be cheap and/or flexible. Chipping away at opponent’s life totals also is good. Bold cards stand out.

Cinderclasm - New. only have 1. Feel like this goes in a better deck Earthquake - can hit hard, but misses flyers. Also damages opponents Firespout - only 3 damage, but can miss flyers or the ground. Pyroclasm - only 2 damage, but costs 2. Pyrohemia - enchantment with repeatable damage. Savage Twister - hits everything and scales. Misses players Shake the Foundations - instant and cantrips. Only 1 damage Slice and Dice - cycle for 3 mana and 1 damage. Instantly better than Shake. Can also hit all creatures for 4. Forerunner of the Empire - Harbinger search effect. Only triggers off of dinos entering the battlefield.

Pyrohemia repeating damage is great. Slice and Dice’s flexibility is good. Forerunner is also card advantage. These three stand out.

Card draw/selection is important. This is a weird control deck. It needs to be able to dig for cards

Ripjaw Raptor - Enrages draws cards. Forerunner of the Empire - Harbinger style search. Also does mass damage Tormenting Voice Abzan Beastmaster - draws during upkeep if you have the biggest toughness Ulvenwald Observer - triggers if a high toughness dies

Ripjaw Raptor is an enrage creature, so that’s in. Forerunner searches them out. Tormenting Voice is a solid card draw spell. 

Lets focus on the enrage creatures. One thing to key on is the mana costs of the creatures. The raw number is tagged on the end

The only card that looks mildly interesting is Verdant Sun’s Avatar. With Hold the Gates, major life gain.

So for 3 mana, we can get a 2/4 Spirit that gives our noncreature sources pseudo-lifelink. So what do we do with that? Well...

As always, I’d love additional thoughts! This is a decklist I’ve been working on making and putting together for a year now, so it’s kind of ‘time’ to get it done with. Please feel free to suggest cards that aren’t in here, but keep in mind that I usually have a budget limit of around 20$/card maximum, and I’d like to keep the deck spending overall to a minimum. Any card in the actual list (not in the considering) is one I actually have my hands on currently.

RAMP:12 [Ramp is an essential part of any deck. Even more important in this one, though, since our win conditions and ‘stay alive’ hinges on mostly X-spells!]

Deflecting Palm: Prevents one source of (next) damage, dealing it back to that controller

Comeuppance: Fog, then deals back to their owner! Comeuppance hits creatures and controllers.

Pyromancer’s Gauntlet: +2 to all Red instant/sorcery/planeswalker damage.

PRO Tam: [Obviously, the biggest problem is keeping Tamanoa alive whilst still getting in that sweet, sweet damage.]

Mark of Asylum: Prevent all noncombat damage that would be dealt to creatures you control. (’Protection’ from me, and my stuff! But not indestructible)

Darksteel Plate: Indestructible! Now I gain life from damage dealt to Tamanoa!

Indestructibility: Enchanted Permanent has Indestructible! see above
