Hello! I've seen you draw a lot of Kamen Rider and got curious about it and wanted to ask what it's about and what it is!

thank you! 💛💜💛 Rider's been near and dear to my heart for well over a decade now, and I'm always happy to suck more people into the void. >:)

Kamen Rider is a Japanese live-action superhero franchise; they come out with a new standalone show every year with brand new characters/story/etc. (so you typically don't need to have seen any of the others to understand it). because every show is often totally different, there's a big variety in tone and quality, but I have some personal recs in this post! and you can also take a look at the wikipedia list (under 'main series') and just see which ones might sound good to you. :D (there's also Ride Kamens, the Twstification-style game that I've really been enjoying, though it is only in Japanese right now.)

at its heart it's basically just a bunch of guys in superhero suits having emotions while swinging foam swords and questionable CGI at rubber monsters, and it's excellent.

Hold on, I just finished Mysterious Lotus Casebook and I'm obsessed.

“Where is she?! Quick, tell me,” Tenzin urged the first person in scrubs he could find to tell him upon his first step into Republic City’s General Hospital.

His towering presence terribly intimidated the staff member who ended up only being a meager intern, but they guided him to a superior nurse who could show him the way.

Spirits, the sterile hallways were too damned long. Tenzin’s red and yellow robes billowed in his undercurrent, picking up his feet as fast as he could politely move. 

Clack!

The door to Lin’s hospital room slammed wide open, Tenzin hardly a heartbeat later knelt down at her bedside, his hand cradling his. 

The status of her condition relayed over to him by the head nurse was white noise as trembling hands brought her cool fingertips to his lips. 

“It’s been years, Lin. Decades even, since we’ve last talked and I have to find you like this.” A pleading whisper begged for answers she couldn’t give.

“If I may…” the nurse began cautiously. “You were her emergency contact.”
