had a realisation about why work has been feeling Particularly Bad for the past year or so, even though not that much has changed. wish this helped with, like, improving the situation, but alas---

#there's actually like. a huge variety of stuff i've been trained to do and used to do regularly #but we've got 3 people training on like. my side of things #and they've plucked away all of those tasks so i am stuck with doing two that simply have a huge volume and one task they haven't #started learning #and even between those 3 i spend the vast majority of the day on only one of those and it is absolutely mind-numbing work #and like having more hands on deck is a good thing because things get really bad whenever someone is sick or on holiday #BUT-!#they've been training them sooooooo unbelievably slowly #two of them have been at it for a little over 2 years #and i'm sat here like. i had to learn *all* of this in 2 weeks. and it wasn't even hard!#and because there is only such a limited selection of things they know how to do it is still so bad when someone is sick or on leave!
