Quality Time - head canon drabbles
Yandere! Forced Marriage x Fem! Reader
Ft: Scaramouche and Childe
How your yanderes spend time with you
Scaramouche
âWrong again,â he muttered beneath his breath, and you felt yourself tense at his anger.
âI apologize, my lord,â you responded quickly. It was like second nature for you. He never truly accepted your apologies, but it made your punishments less harsh.
He insisted that once a week he'd spend time with you. Although, the time was never doing what you liked. He wanted you to learn more skills that would make you seem sophisticated, things he said were skills he learned himself. Tea ceremonies, kimono dressing, and his personal favorite, calligraphy.
Scaramouche would sit you in his lap, with a low table in front of you. You thought it was some sort of perverted ploy to touch you more, but he genuinely seemed more interested in the writing. Or interested in you learning to do it.
âDon't apologize, just do better,â he lifted your wrist that had the brush in it and pulled the sleeve of your kimono back, there was a little black ink on the expensive fabric. His fingers were cold, his grip not tight, but threatening, âI've told you, you must use your other hand to hold the sleeve, or it'll drag through the ink.â his eyebrows were furrowed together in frustration as he looked over the garment you'd practically ruined.
âBe glad I love you so much, or I'd keep you in solitary confinement for your repeated mistakes,âÂ
âThank you, my lord.âÂ
He motioned for you to do it again and you mimicked his motions with your own hand and drew out a character on the parchment. It was borderline ineligible, but it was better than anything you'd done before. He hummed in agreement at your work, wrapping one his arms tighter around your waist.
His other hand reached up to gently pat your head. He called it praise, but you considered it condescending. Despite the fact that you hated it, he did it regardless, your opinions didn't seem to matter to him.
âYou did good,â the brush was taken from your hand and he repeated the action, only this time it was more graceful and elegant, âit should look more like this though.â
He kept his hold on you as you continued to write characters for him deep into the night.
Childe
âMy my, do those clothes truly suit you,â he could barely keep his hands off of you as the two of you trudged through the snow together.
You rarely went outside when staying in Snezhnaya, you rarely wanted to. But when you did, you were bundled up in thick, heavy garments to combat the cold. More than six layers at that. You wondered what part of you he thought looked good? There wasn't much of you to see anymore, the clothes had eaten you whole.
Childe insisted on taking you hunting with him. You politely declined, but once again, he insisted, and that was just him being polite. What he was really saying was, âPut your boots on, you're coming out with me.â
You were handed your gun, nearly dropping it from the surprise that he was just handing it to you. Amongst all the talking about how to spy tracks and what to do when you had an animal in your sights, the fact that he'd given you a gun never came up. You'd never held one before and also, Childe was your captor. Was he crazy? Stupid? Bulletproof? All of those things sounded plausible.
He walked in front of you as you fell behind. He was more used to this type of thing, snow up to your knees, but you were struggling. Where you were from, it didn't even get cold.
The gun felt heavy in your hands. You wanted to hold it away from your body, but you also wanted to keep it close to you. Childe was just there, walking and talking without a care in the world. And you were behind him. His guard was down, his guard always seemed to be down around you. You could just do it, couldn't you.
You raised the rifle up and held your breath. One thing he actually said and you listened to, was that you needed to be stable when you were shooting. You needed to be firm. Your heart was pumping in your chest, but you didn't let your hands shake. You didn't want to mess this up.
âThere are pellets in your gun,â he'd stopped in his tracks, not even trying to look at you while he spoke, âand those definitely do not work on me.â

What about 'soft and sweet' for the random kiss prompts? đ„°đ€
warm, soft and sweet, a little clumsy, soft giggles, melting, sugary, love
Hi there â„ïž here we go!
A soft little drabble set in the Such Stuff verse to celebrate the end of the main story đ„°âš
The colorful Christmas lights hung outside the pub paint the sidewalk in soft, flickering hues. It didn't snow yet this year but there's the heavy smell of it in the air, the night sky verging on that weird shade of grey that usually welcomes a storm of white flakes. John knows that sky very well, it used to be like that every winter in Manitowoc when he was a kid; it'll start snowing before Buck's birthday ends, he knows it.
Standing on the sidewalk, he's enjoying the one and only cigarette he's allowed himself to have throughout the whole holidays while Buck is inside with all their friends, celebrating his 29th birthday with a karaoke night and many, many rounds of drinks. John'll have to get back inside soon, Marge's waiting for him to perform one of their duets and he's already missing Buck despite having spent every single minute of the past four days together. So he flicks the cigarette to the ground, the cherry-red tip glowing for a moment on the dark pavement before he puts it off with his foot, and then steps back into the pub.
The music is loud and the air heavy and hot, a blessing on his cold-bitten cheeks. He starts to shrug his sheepskin off as he walks to their table, somehow always the loudest and rowdiest in the place, but when Buck catches sight of him he stands abruptly and cuts through the crowd to get to him. It worries John a little â did any of the guys say something bad to him? Did his parents tried to contact him since it's his birthday? Is he having some kind of crisis?
âYou're back!â Buck tells him once he reaches him, throwing his arms around John's neck like he hasn't seen him in weeks. John returns the hug, confused. âI've been outside for ten minutes, Buck. Did you really miss me that much?â He asks him, tenderness in his voice.
Buck pulls back to look at him, his eyes wide and shiny in the soft light of the pub. âOf course I did,â he answers, tone serious like when he tries to explain calculus to John but with a slanted smile on his face. âI always miss you when you're not here,â he adds and goes for a kiss, somehow missing half of John's mouth and ending up crushing his mouth against John's upper lip and his nose.
John laughs and repositions him, kissing him softly on the lips; suddenly, the reason behind Buck's weird behavior is clear as day.
âBuck. Are you drunk?â John asks, lips curling up in amusement. Stubborn as ever, even with the heady smell of liquor in his breath, Buck shakes his head.
âYes you are!â
âM'not,â Buck protests feigning a serious expression, but his credibility dissolves in a fit of giggles. âBenny bought me one drink. Can't be drunk on one drink,â he adds with conviction, and leans forward for another kiss â his lips are unbelievably soft and plushy, even in the middle of winter and with him biking his way around town every day.
âWas it a girly drink?â John enquires licking his lips after the kiss and tasting sugar, the only thing that makes a drink bearable for Buck. The other nods conspiratorially, running a hand up and down the front of John's newest winter jacket. âThis is hideous,â he declares.
John starts laughing. âYou got it for me, Buck.â
âI know,â Buck says, half annoyed. âBecause you kept riding around on Our Baby in your leather jacket. You need to stay warm even when I'm not there.â
âOh? Do you want to keep me warm instead?â John asks, amused at following his drunk boyfriend's stream of thoughts. Buck nods, a happy little smile on his face, and hugs him again, this time even tighter and nuzzling his face in the curve of John's neck; John's starting to sweat, between the sheepskin and Buck's warmth and the thick air of the pub, but he lets the hug last as long as Buck wants, content with pressing little kisses to the side of his head, melting in the embrace.
Outside, slow and silent, it's starting to snow.

I've Got Nothing Left To Hide
summary: it has been a month since your injury, of taking it slow, and helping your father out more. and youâre sick of it. ever since you fully recovered you saw less and less of joel. actually, both miller brothers seem to be avoiding you and youâre determined to find out why.Â
pairing: joel miller x reader, tommy & reader (platonic)Â
word count: 3.5KÂ
series or one-shot
warnings: mature, language, cock-blocker tommy, joel x female!reader, no mention of Y/N, canon timeline (sort of), jackson era, post-outbreak, slight angst, joel avoiding his feelings, ends on a cliffhanger (sorry not sorry)Â
A/N: got a little carried away. again. i am so thrilled that yaâll wanted another part of this. i was hoping that you would because i had so much fun writing it. so, here we go. i was kind of going for more background on the whole dynamic between reader and joel and reader and tommy. itâs not super joel x reader heavy but i think iâm going to do anther part and explore their relationship more. let me know what yaâll think of this part, i would love to hear some feedback or some ideas for other parts. thank you <3
read the prequel here
Spring was officially on the way. Every time you stepped outside, you spotted a new sign that Mother Nature was giving you. Like last week, in the middle of your daily walk around town, youâd stopped and looked down, seeing a patch of half-frozen grass at your feet, the beginnings of vibrant green peeking out of the snow.
For as much as you couldn't wait until it was spring, there was still more winter to be had. A crisp chill still clung to the air, which made you wrap your worn sheep-wool jacket tighter around your body.Â
You unlatched the bar of wood that was slotted in place across the solid, wooden door of the church, pushing the doors open and taking a deep breath when the air hit your lungs. Youâd been breathing in stale air the whole day, so this was a welcome relief.
You took a step back, taking in the view of the town from your elevated advantage. Your eyes snagged on the clinic across the street, reminding you that it hadnât been that long since youâd been back home.Â
You snapped your eyes shut, suddenly overwhelmed by the memories, the screaming, the pain. Your heartbeat was erratic, your breathing coming out harsher as your mind assaulted you with images that youâd tried hard to forget.
It was like you had been transported back in time and you felt weak, unable to protect yourself from the looming threat. You clenched your teeth, making your jaw ache. Youâre safe. Youâre not in that cabin anymore. Youâre home.Â
You never wanted to feel that helpless again, and you were determined not to, if anyone ever let you out of your gilded cage. Tommy and your father had taken it upon themselves to make every decision regarding your safety without consulting the one person that it would affect the most; you. It was driving you to the edge of madness.Â
They were always keeping an eye on you, making sure that at least one of them was with you at all times. Youâd made one mistake, one small fucking mistake, and now you were paying for it. As if the scar above your belly button wasnât enough proof.Â
Tommy had restricted your duties and practically barred you from going out on patrol, in no uncertain terms. And your father had been all too happy to jump at the opportunity, insisting that you could be of more use to him and the community if you helped out around the church.
He was obvious in how he wanted you to follow in his footsteps and one day take over as minister of the church, but that was the last thing that you wanted.
You wanted freedom, something different, more adventure. Not being chained to a pulpit for the rest of your life, however long that might be. But your father was the only family you had left, ever since the end of the world. It had been you and him, and youâd be remiss if you didnât at least try to make an effort. You and your father had come a long way since arriving in town.Â
You could remember the day vividly when Tommy had found you both just outside of Jackson, starving, bloody, and bruised. He had asked what either of you could bring to their community, in terms of skills. You had been surprised when heâd accepted you, your fatherâs only skill being that he was a minister before the outbreak.
But Tommy, being Tommy had seen past that. Seen past the lack of skills and past the teenager who was afraid of her own shadow.Â
Aside from giving the folks of Jackson a distraction, some way to rationalize the direction the world was heading, you both couldnât be much use to them. The old man and the kid. But again, the people of Jackson had surprised you, making you feel welcome quickly. It wasnât for free, while you found your footing, you had also done your part to help out around town.Â
Even at sixteen, Tommy and Maria had treated you better than some of the adults in town had a first. You were someone, even back then, who wasnât trusting when it came to new people. Youâd had your guard up at all times, starting fights with other kids your age until Tommy had stepped in.
He had taken you under his wing, not pushing you to open up, but more so guided you and gave you the space so that in your own time you came around. Heâs nurtured you and taught you useful skills; mainly how to hold and shoot a gun.Â
It wasnât long before you were tagging along on patrol, Tommy claiming that you were a natural, and slowly building up the courage to leave town on your own, or with your own patrol partner. He had built you up from a volatile kid who could barely throw a punch, to someone who could take down a fully grown man in under two minutes.Â
You couldnât give him all the credit though, youâd worked your ass off, turning yourself into a human weapon. Refined and deadly. There wasnât a day that went by when you didnât think about how grateful you were that he had taken a chance on you and your father.Â
Years had passed since you had first arrived in Jackson, but those lessons that Tommy had instilled in you still remained. A hoarse voice called your name, pulling you from your reminiscent thoughts, and making you turn toward it. It was your father. He was walking toward you, the slight limp on his right side more prominent now than it had been back then.Â
Your face dropped as he approached, emotion bubbling in your throat when you looked at him. His skin was almost translucent, pale when the light hit it. And the colour of his eyes dulled as each year came and went, the weathered crinkles on the edges deepening whenever he smiled or laughed.
You couldnât stop yourself from taking him in, hoping to save a mental snapshot of him while he was still here.Â
Realistically, you knew that he didnât have much time left, but the unrealistic part of yourself, the part that wanted him to last forever, ignored the realism and gave him a smile. No matter how many times you told him to take it easy, and remind him that he wasnât fifty anymore, he wouldnât hear it.
Heâd brush you off and mumble something about how age was just a number. He didnât want you to worry about him, heâd said. And you would drop it, carrying on like nothing was wrong.Â
As your father approached you, he gripped the back of a pew, putting all of his weight onto it as if it was a struggle to stand. Your eyes dipped to his hand, but his voice brought you back.Â
âEverything okay?â, he asked.Â
You exhaled an annoyed puff of air. If there was a running tally of how many times in the past month your father asked you how you were, it would probably venture in the thousands. He was being overprotective and it was getting on your last nerve.
You appreciated that he cared about you but at a certain point, it was too much. Between both him and Tommy, you were one more question away from ripping your hair out.Â
âFineâ, you replied, snippily. You cleared your throat harshly, your telltale sign that you wanted to move on from the topic of conversation.Â
Your fatherâs face softened, noticing how you were folding in on yourself, avoiding his eyes, making yourself almost invisible. You were uncomfortable.Â
âYou seen Tommy today?â, he asked, changing the subject.Â
You shook your head, surprisingly, you hadnât. Which wasnât out of the norm, Tommy was a busy guy and you understood the shift in his priorities as the community continued to grow. But lately, he had been checking in on you more and more, even since youâd gotten injured while on patrol.Â
You sighed, letting yourself think back to what had transpired after Joel had gotten you back to Jackson. Joel. You could still feel the ghost of his deft fingers trailing your arms, the contrast of his callouses and the softness of his touch as he held you close to your body, cradling you like you were something precious.
Your mind had blocked out a lot from the incident, preventing you from remembering key details. But you remembered Joel.Â
You remembered his strong arms helping you onto his horse, or the way that his lips melded with yours as you kissed him in the clinic. You brought two fingers to your lips, trying to memorialize how it felt to finally kiss Joel. His gruff voice echoed in your mind, constantly on a loop of weâre almost home and hold on a little longer and donât give up yet, darlinâ.
Somehow, through the delirious fog, it had been his voice that broke through and it was the one thing that had tethered you to this world, not letting you leave just yet.Â
That had been the bulk of what you remembered, aside from the searing pain in your stomach from the stab wound. You could thank those fucking raiders for that one.
To your surprise, it hadnât taken all that long for the wound itself to heal, the patch of skin now only an ugly and scarred reminder of how you couldnât ever have your guard down like that again.Â
According to the doctor, Joel had gotten you back to Jackson just in time. He had said that if he had waited longer you probably wouldnât have made it. You hadnât been prepared to hear that, to hear that you had been that close to death.
Before youâd had a chance to spiral after hearing that cheery news, Joel had returned to his side. Stoic as ever. Youâd smelled him before you had seen him, his familiar musk invading your senses wholly and completely.Â
You had spotted him almost immediately, meeting his huge brown eyes that, to your surprise, had already been on you. Youâd been harbouring a crush on Joel for the better part of a year, Tommy insisting that you become his new patrol partner recently hadnât helped much in quelling it either.Â
Youâd thought that things had progressed with Joel, youâd broken through his hard exterior to the point that he now laughed at your jokes, cracking some of his own in return, and he seemed like he enjoyed your company enough when you were alone for long stretches of silence during patrol.Â
But now, a month after your injury, when you had kissed him and he had kissed you back, he seemed as distant as when you had first partnered up with him. And it was eating at you. You thought you had been on the same page, but clearly, you hadnât been.
Your stomach twisted into knots when you thought about it. You couldnât help thinking that you had fucked everything up between you.Â
Maybe he had just been nice, kissing you back, telling you that it had been okay, comforting you. Maybe you were reading into a simple kiss between friends.
But why then would he tell you that he wanted to kiss you? Ever since the doctor had released you, you hadnât seen Joel around. Keeping in line with the he-was-avoiding-you train of thought.Â
You and Joel were friends, even though he would never admit it out loud, and you needed to confront him. If only for your own piece of mind. Your father called your name again.Â
âSorryâ, you mumbled, âDid you say something?â.Â
âAll I said was that you should go take a walk around town, get some airâ.Â
Your brows furrowed. He had been keeping a close eye on you for weeks, and now suddenly he was suggesting that you take a walk, alone. Was he trying to get rid of you?Â
âWhy?â, you asked, skepticism lining your tone.  Â
âYouâve been attached to my hip all day, girl. Maybe go down to the market, find us something for dinnerâ, he paused, rubbing his chin, âOr go find Tommyâ.Â
And there it was. If wasnât him keeping an eye on you, it was Tommy. You crossed your arms over your chest. An idea sparked as you thought more about your walk.Â
âFineâ, you started, leaning forward and pecking his cheek. âBe back soonâ.Â
âDonât rushâ, your father called out as you crossed the church threshold.Â
You had been walking around town for about ten minutes, casting a tight-lined smile at anyone you passed. Your cheeks were numb, the harsh winter wind nipping at them as you continued walking through town, passing by the Tipsy Bison. You stopped in your tracks.
Would it be weird if you happened to stop by Joelâs house?Â
You bit your bottom lip, rolling it between your teeth. You debated the idea for all of a minute before you changed your direction, pushing the self-doubt aside as you made your way to Joelâs house. Before you knew it, you were on his front porch, inches from his door.
You were about to knock when your fist froze midway, you were hesitating. What if Joel didnât want to see you? What if he was avoiding you for a reason?Â
You began to step back, your foot finding the first step, backing away slowly. Suddenly, the door whipped open and you were knocked off balance from seeing Joel, literally. You fell back, over the steps and landed on your back in the cold snow.Â
âShitâ, Joel mumbled, rushing toward you.Â
Your face was burning from embarrassment as Joel kneeled down beside you. You chuckled awkwardly, propping yourself up on your elbow. His hand rested on your knee, the sensation causing an unexpected jolt in your body.Â
Joelâs grip on your knee tightened ever so slightly, but he didnât look away from your face, concentrating solely on you.Â
He let out a steady puff of air, âYou okay?â.Â
You let your head fall back, chuckling humourlessly. God, could anyone ask you anything different?Â
You looked back at Joel, who was staring at you peculiarly, his eyes squinting.Â
âPeachyâ, you responded, an edge to your voice.Â
Joel straightened, extending a hand to you. But you ignored it, getting to your feet without his help. He took a step back from you, doing so almost cautiously.
His broad frame towered over you, watching your every move as you dusted the snow off of yourself. Joelâs hands were now stuffed inside the pockets of his jeans, eyes boring into you.Â
âYou sure?â, he asked.Â
You took a step forward so that you were a breath away from him. Your chest grazed his, and his breathing stuttered, the air around you suddenly thick and charged. His chest was solid and firm, your mind running rampant with the memory of it pressed against your body. You could see the way his jaw ticked as he looked down at you, the pressure looking like it could shatter his teeth at any minute.Â
You felt the heat of his stare, but you didnât dare meet his eyes, your irritation too fresh to be stamped out by one heady look from him.Â
âWhy do you care? Not like youâve bothered to check up on me latelyâ.Â
Joelâs face fell and you instantly regretted your words. He didnât deserve that and you didnât know why you were lashing out at him.Â
âI know. âM sorryâ, he said, his voice strained.Â
You finally met his face, those big, brown eyes gleaming with something you couldnât place, something that resembled sadness. Or regret.Â
âThen why did you stay away?â.Â
He swallowed thickly and you watched his Adamâs apple bob, an unsure look on his face. His one hand went to the back of his head, rubbing nervously. Joel Miller was nervous and that made you smirk, you doubted anything made him nervous.Â
âI didnât want toâ, he started, inching closer to you, in hands flying to your hips. A tiny gasp left you at the contact, the skin underneath his hand burning, even though you were wearing three layers. âBut I wanted to give you some spaceâ.Â
A beat lingered between you before you spoke. âI donât want any more spaceâ.Â
Joel groaned, his eyes snapping shut as you let your hand drift to his beard, the scratchiness making your fingertips tingle. Your heart was hammering in your chest, your lips closing in on his mouth. You wanted to kiss him, you needed to.
It felt like you had been deprived of oxygen this whole month, waiting for that moment when you could breathe again.Â
Joelâs fingers grazed your chin, tilting your face closer to his. You could feel his hot breath fan your face, making you shiver in anticipation.Â
âJoel!â, a loud, booming voice echoed from behind you both.Â
He withdrew from you quickly, putting distance between the two of you. Your heart was in your throat, your nerves on fire, leaving you breathless once again. But it wasnât in the way that you wanted. Disappointment filled you as Tommy came into view.
His eyes found yours momentarily before they settled on Joel, giving him a look that you couldnât quite decipher.
He softened his features as he focused back on you, throwing an arm around your shoulders and tucking you into his side.Â
âHey, youâ, you said.Â
You smiled tightly at him, feeling the awkwardness flush your cheeks, âHiâ.Â
âMind if I steal her away?â, Tommy directed at Joel, who wordlessly shook his head, eyes on Tommy and not on you.Â
You deflated further as Tommy led you away from his brother, and back into the heart of town. You looked back, watching the tail end of Joel disappearing back into his house.
You shrugged out of Tommyâs hold, watching as he put his hands in his pockets instead, not saying a word to you.Â
âWhat do you need?â, you asked.Â
He looked at you strangely before he connected the dots.Â
âOh, nothinâ really. Just thought I could walk you back homeâ.Â
You gawked at him, stopping in your tracks as he continued on, not taking notice of how you had stopped. When he did notice, he looked back, confusion muddling his features. You arched a brow.Â
âSo, you just happened to stumble upon me when I was with Joel and decided I needed to be walked home?â, you asked, annoyance lacing every word.Â
Tommy wasnât one to beat around the bush.Â
âWhat do you want me to say?â, he said, an exasperated sigh leaving him, his arms thrown up dramatically.Â
âI want a straight answer, for startersâ.Â
He paused for a moment and you thought that he would blow you off, tell you that you were being a child and reading into things. But when he didnât, you were surprised.Â
âHonestly, I donât think it's a good idea for you two to be spendinâ time togetherâ, he started, taking a breath, âAnd from what I just saw, I donât think your Daddy would take too kindly to the idea eitherâ.Â
Now your blood was boiling. Where did Tommy get off talking to you like that? Telling you who you could and couldnât spend time with. You marched up to him, poking a finger into his chest.Â
âI am an adult, Tommy. And contrary to popular belief, I can handle my own. So, I donât think you should be poking your nose where it doesnât belong. Because if you keep it up, weâre going to have some problems, Millerâ.Â
Tommy opened his mouth to say something but you were gone before he had the chance to say anything, stomping all the way back to your house, a cloud of anger and indignation burrowing in your gut. You pulled open your front door, seeing your father in his comfy chair by the fireplace. You mumbled a hello and locked yourself in your room.Â
You were pacing, your feet wearing a hole in the hardwood. You stopped, an idea forming. A wicked, tempting fate idea. You dashed to your door, pausing a moment to listen for any indication of your father. The house was silent save for the usual groaning and creaking.Â
Before you could change your mind, you pulled open your door, and sprinted out of the house and back toward Joelâs. Youâd made it to the other side of town in record time, your chest heaving as you tried to level out your breathing.Â
You pounded on his door, waiting for him to answer it. When he did, you swallowed thickly, eying the way his shirt was pulled tautly over his chest. You licked your lips subconsciously, not missing the way that Joelâs gaze dipped to them. Â
âCan I come in?â, you asked, breathless.Â
Joel hesitated, hand gripping the door above his head tightly, his knuckles whitening from the pressure. He seemed to be mulling the idea over in his head.
You expected him to turn you away, to tell you that it was a bad idea that you were at his house so late, that people in town would get the wrong idea about you and him.Â
But you were past the point of caring, you were past the point of holding back.Â
âYeah, come on in, darlinââ.

Eliza Henderson
It starts off like this:
Eliza Henderson gets a phone call from her mom that her cat is missing. Eliza is very obviously hundreds of miles away at college in a different state and can't do a single thing about it. She wouldn't anyway, her mom loves that cat more than her or Dustin.
She tells her mom she'll be home next month for Christmas break anyway and she'll help her find a new cat if needed.
When she gets home her brother is screeching, not much is new, and excited to go to the Snow Ball.
"Just don't screw this up for me." Dustin is pacing around her room.
She flips through a magazine bored. She pops her gum between his pivots.
She rolls her eyes and glares at him. "How would I mess up your playdate with your new friend?"
"It's not a playdate! Steve's coming to do my hair! It's a sacred bonding moment that I won't have you mess up with your girl-" he wiggles his fingers at her, "stuff."
She puts the magazine down and stands up, she brushes off imaginary crumbs and huffs at him.
"I'm going to Jenny's, enjoy nerd." She walks past him and can see him flip her off in her peripheral.
She covers her face trying to hide the smile that covers it.
-----
The following year she goes around town and tries to find the little (not so little) rugrats.
Her brother has been away all summer and she wants to do something special for him.
She's driving down the main road when she spots the kids on their bikes heading towards the new mall. She turns around and follows them all the way until they enter an ice cream shop.
She runs up to them and manages to grab Lucas before he enters.
"Eliza!" He greets her with a smile.
"Hey kid!"
"You're literally six years older than me."
"That proves my point." She feels a prickling in her neck and quickly flips around to see a small redhead glaring at her.
"Hey Lukie...do you know why that small child is glaring at me?"
Recognition dawns on his face and then a small blush is creeping on his cheeks.
"That's my girlfriend Max, she's probably waiting on me." He shrugs his shoulders sheepishly.
"Oh man! Look at you! All grown up." She pretends to wipe a tear from her eye. "You know Dustin told me he has a girlfriend too?"
Lucas raises an eyebrow. "Sure, if he can raise a demonic lizard he can do that."
"Wha-"
"Anyway!" He chuckles nervously.
"Right! I won't keep you long, Dustin is coming home soon and I think it'd be cool if you guys planned some kind of surprise party for him."
"That'd be cool we can totally do that."
"Awesome! Invite that Steve kid Dustin always talks about."
"Steve?"
"Yeah, apparently they're best friends but I've never seen him. I thought I knew all the kids your age."
"Right...well-"
"Ok great! Bye Lukie!"
-----
When she picks up her brother outside the burned down mall she forgets to ask how the party went.
------
It ends with a zombie Eddie Munson.
She was home for spring break.
She was walking in from the store, grocery bag piled high in her hand, humming a new pop song.
The screaming really threw her off.
There was her baby brother, hanging off a man holding a...nail bat, pleading with him to not hurt what looks like a bleeding and bruised (and wanted!!!!) Eddie Munson tied to a chair. The regular crew of kids was circled around them including one new girl with her arm raised up.
She had a long day.
"Enough!" She screams.
Every head turns to look at her.
The little buzzcut girl moved her arm so her palm was pointed at Eliza.
"El no!" Dustin hurries off the man and stands guard in front of Eliza.
He turns around and his big tear filled eyes almost make her forget what's happening.
...almost.
"Dustin dear," she mutters through clenched teeth.
"Eliza-"
"What is a WANTED criminal doing in MY HOUSE! And you!" She points at the kids. "You know damn well to take your shoes off. You also know to come to me if you need help and you also know NOT TO FOLLOW DUSTIN'S PLANS!"
"Eliza-"
"Don't even," she holds a hand up to his face. "I know in my bones this is your fault. You'd be so incredibly lucky if I didn't tell mom."
"Mom?" The man with the bat is asking.
"I'm sorry who the hell are you? Dustin how do you know two grown men."
"I was just gonna ask the same question," tied up Eddie asks. "Who are you?"
"I'm Eliza Henderson...duh." She flips her hair over her shoulder.
Dustin rolls his eyes. "My sister."
The bat man gasps and mutters something like "another older role model" he looks defeated.
"Don't be sad Stevie this one was assigned from birth." Eddie smiles with a tongue between his teeth.
"Stevie?" The pieces are all clicking. "You're Steve?! You are not a child."
Mike raises his hand from the side, "technically we're not children-"
"Shut it Wheeler!" Both her and Eddie shout.
"Ok." She takes a deep breath. "The whole story. Now."
"Eliza we can't-"
"NOW Dustin!"
"...ok."
-----
He's a terrible storyteller.
Eddie is trying to chime in with exaggerated versions of the story to help 'set the scene'. Steve is interrupting with little facts that make her heart rate skyrocket like:
"Well if you think that's bad what about the demogorgan you raised off nougat."
"He did WHAT!"
"Eliza please don't tell mom!"
And has led to her creating new catch phrases like:
"I knew you were up to something."
And
"What the hell did you do that for!"
Overall a very overwhelming experience.
They told her everything including why Eddie was tied to a chair.
"He says he's fine but he died! In my arms! He can't be real he has to be some upside down creature."
Eliza is going to come back to the 'in my arms part' because she knows she'll be the one up at night holding him through his nightmares.
"El was about to do a scan to see if she could find anything out when you stormed in."
"Well sorry for accessing my home in the middle of the day. I did not mean to interfere with your chaotic evil doings."
"That's ok," Dustin says seriously, "you didn't know."
She slaps him upside the head.
"I'm getting some air."
She heads out of the living room and out the back door.
She spots the new girl, El, sitting with her arms around her knees. She quietly moves to sit next to her.
They sit in silence for a bit.
"I like your name." Eliza says.
"It is not my real name."
"That's ok, nicknames are cool. We have the same one." She knocks their knees together. "We're both Els."
El gives her a small smile.
"You've had a tough life kid. Let's see if we can finish this. You really think you can handle all this?" She waves a hand around hoping El gets the gist. She can't exactly say "Hey you're gonna scan that guy for demonic goo right?"
El nods at her and slowly stands up.
"Alright then. I guess this is happening."
-
She stands in her bedroom with Steve. Team Big Kid, as it was reluctantly named, was ready in case something went wrong.
Steve paced the floor, his bat dragging next on the floor.
"Can you not? It's gonna rip my carpet."
"Oh!" He stumbles a bit. "Sorry."
"It's fine." She hates the silence.
"Thank you." She says.
He seems surprised.
"For what?"
"Taking care of him."
"Well I-"
"I'm jealous of you."
"Me? Why?"
"When I thought you were another one of his children friends I said, fine, I don't need to be with him. The last thing I want to do in my free time is hang out with some kids." Tears prick her eyes.
"But you're not a kid. You're a grown up. You're like me. The only difference is you've spent so much time with Dustin being the sibling I can't be. You've stayed close. You've protected him in three different apocalypses-"
"Four."
"Perfect. Even worse." She clears her throat.
"My point is. I miss him. You've been there for him and taught him life lessons. You did his hair for him! I can't compete with that. You didn't even know I existed until I interrupted your threatening session."
"Eliza-"
There's a knock at the door.
"He's clear! It's him!"
Steve flashes her a bright smile.
"Dustin is a special kid. We all get brought into his orbit and we can't leave. He loves us all the same." He holds out his hand to her.
"Come on, let's go see another person Dustin sunk his claws into. Then we can all compete for the title of number one Dustin handler."
"Deal."
------
Then they all become friends and Steddie happens or something and Eliza and Dustin get really close again and she moves back home after graduation. Max was never hurt and the town maybe cracked a little but it was overall not that bad. Eddie got magically healed I guess idk or maybe he's a vampire but Vecna gets killed doubly and it's all ok! Yay!

9 - A Man Named Jefferson
Princess Red Thief
Part 10
Tag list - just ask to be added @mystrey101 @melvia-ito @kmc1989 @tallrock35
Blinking my eyes a couple of times I groaned trying to wake up. Slowly glancing around the room I saw I was in the back room of the pawnshop. Shifting my body up further on the old cot I heard the wooden floor creak under someone's feet. "Eve! You're awake."
"Henry. What are you doing here?" Rubbing my eyes to wake myself up more I saw the ten year old boy enter the room.
He answered me. "I heard you being locked up in the hospital until Mr. Gold bailed you out."
"Yeah. Where is Mr. Gold exactly?" I questioned the kid.
Henry came over to my bedside reaching inside his backpack. "He's out with Regina for some reason. So we don't have much time to talk with somebody you need to meet."
"Henrh, I just woke up. I am not really in the mood to meet someone right now." I sat upright holding a hand to my forehead struggling to push away some pain that must have been caused from all the drugs they pushed into my system.
He held open his storybook to a certain page. "But what if I told you there's someone else in this town that has been seeing things just like you."
"And that person in your book would be?" I trailed off scanning my eyes over the book pages seeing a man surrounded with over a dozen hats.
Henry taped a finger on the image. "The Mad Hatter. He goes by Jefferson here."
"Henry...I. You need to leave before he gets back. He doesn't care for unwanted visitors inside his shop." I warned the ten year old.
He didn't back down, shoving his book back inside the bag. He holds out his hands waiting for me to put my hand in his and follow him willingly like I normally did before I was locked away. "Please Eve. You'll start to believe me once you talk with him. I swear."
"Fine, kid. But this doesn't mean I believe you." I put my hands in his getting to my feet and together we slipped outside of the pawnshop in search of where this Jefferson man lived. "Henry, why do you think I will believe before Emma?"
He kept walking, sending me a half smile. "Because you follow your heart more than what your mind tells you." I parted my lips considering what he was saying to me in the moment.
The double doors shut behind me with two guards shutting them. I had decided to keep living in my parents castle which wasn't too far from the Charming castle. My short brown boots clicked against the stone floor until I stood at the edge of the round table to meet Snow. "Everly. I was hoping I'd see you."
"My parents aren't worried about me. Honestly they trust me when it comes to helping y'all with your kingdom. You're glowing by the way." I sent her a smile pulling out one of the chairs near hers.
She was sitting down in one of the head chairs, leaning her elbows on the table. "Thank you, Eve. Your letter said that you wanted to talk with me about something."
"Indeed I do wish to. I've been having certain feelings lately and since we are friends I was hoping we could talk about them." I twiddled my thumbs together on the table.
Snow asked sweetly. "Of course. Is this about a guy?"
"Is it that obvious?"
She nods, chuckling. "I'm sorry to say yes. Besides it's not like I don't remember you saying you always had teaching lessons to return to."
"Oh geeesss." Covering my face with my hands I was blushing like a red tomato.
Snow clasped her hands together. "So who is the stranger you are getting lessons from?"
"It's magic lessons. The man I'm getting taught by is named Rumplestilskin." Heavy silence fell across the large room with an intense feeling falling between the two of us. Everyone in the land generally knew his name and what kind of magic he dabbled in.
"Everly, he...he uses dark magic."
"I know that." I said back. "But I am needing his help to teach me how to control the power that I was born with. Neither of my parents have magic, yet I somehow got it."
"You have feelings for him, don't you. Why else would you be defending the teachings he is showing you." Snow put the pieces together with a smirk on her lips.
"Maybe I do. What do I do about it?" I asked the other princess in the room.
The former bandit princess got up from her chair and I rose to my feet standing up in front of her. "In my experience you just have to follow whatever your heart tells you."
"Even when the person you care about might not feel the same." I knitted my brows at her, wrapping my fatherâs red cloak tightly around my body.
Snow takes my hands in hers showing me the wedding ring from her Prince Charming. "That's a risk that we each have to take when we love someone. Never stop following your heart, Everly."
"Henry, are you sure we're not breaking and entering? It doesn't even look like he's here. Emma is the sheriff now and I wish to not be placed inside a prison cell anytime soon." Looking around at the area outside the mansion front door. He had pulled out some set of keys he had taken from his mother's office that could open any door.
He pushed one of the keys in the hole and it unlocked with the door swinging open. "We'll be fine. He believes everything about my book. Now come on. Jefferson!" Henrik walks into the house and I follow after him seeing that it was almost pitch black inside giving the creepy loner type guy vibes to me.
"Henry. Henry, wait we can't just - mmm!" I grunted my fighting instincts kicking in when one hand wrapped around my waist and the other hand clasped over my mouth before the front door slammed shut behind me.
A man's voice growled in my ear. "Did anyone follow you?"
"No." I mumbled the best reply I could trying to remove the stranger's hand.
The man removed his hands from my body, spinning me around to face him. "So you're the famous Red Thief who falls in love with the Dark One."
"You've read the story too." I made a confused expression.
The guy named Jefferson responded. "It's more than just a story and his storybook is more than just a book."
"It can't be more than a book. None of those stores are real. I know they are simply just stories." I shake my head thinking back on why I got put in the mental hospital in the first place.
Henry spoke up behind me heading down the hallway. "She's a little slow, Jefferson. That's why I brought her to you. So she'll wake up like you have." Jefferson grabs a hold of my arm dragging me after the young boy until we entered a room filled with hats that all matched the familiar hat the Mad Hatter would have worn.
"You've obviously got an obsession with Alice in Wonderland."
"He's the Mad Hatter, Eve." Henry declares sitting the book on the table, opening it to the page he had shown me back in the shop.
Jefferson pushed me down in the chair with the book laying in front of my face. He flipped through some pages stopping at one photo that showed Rumplestilskin holding up a ring. The woman who wore a red cloak that looked like the one I owned stood in front of him. "Look at the picture and tell me if you recognize anything."
"Jefferson, Henry has already tried this with me once before. It didn't work then, it won't work now." Shifting around in the chair I eyed the man.
Jefferson rounded the table to be on the other side grabbing my chin in between his thumb and index finger so I'd look him in the eye. "Use your power and look into my mind. Then you'll see what I'm saying is the only truth you need to believe."
"Look into your mind. That's not possible."
Jefferson declared not backing down. "You have to open your mind, Red Thief."
"You're losing your mind, Jefferson." Pushing myself away from him he let go of my chin. Stomping towards the doorway about to leave I halted in my tracks grabbing a hold of the doorway when he spoke up about my past.
"You couldn't pay your rent when you first came here. So you made a deal with Mr. Gold. Take my ring and I'll work for you, you said."
Glancing out the corner of my eye I asked. "How do you know about that? He swore he'd never say anything."
"Because it's almost the exact same deal you made with Rumplestilskin after he agreed to teach you magic. You are Princess Everly, daughter of Abigail and Fredrick." Henry stands by the edge of the table.
Shutting my eyes I pushed back the desire to believe them. I couldn't be a princess. I couldn't have magic and the town couldn't all be cursed. Otherwise I belonged back in the mental hospital. "Henry, I'm sorry but all your saying is nonsense."
"It won't all be nonsense once you look for the necklace inside his suit jacket and...." Jefferson trailed off in thought.
Turning around in my boots I dared to ask the question. "And what Jefferson?"
"And you'll believe us when you find the ring in his possession." The man who truly thought he was the Mad Hatter answered my question, sitting one of his hats on top of his head smiling wickedly at me. Henry remained silent and simply nodded in agreement. "As close to his heart as it could possibly be."

More #Aliens are Gardenworlders. What happens when a Human gets approval to live on an actual Garden world?
Day 1 Hey Diary! I'm so excited! It took something like 8 weeks and practically a dozen forms, but I finally got approval to relocate to that Garden world I was telling you about! It's so nice here. Everyone is friendly, the house they assigned me to so so cute, and it's just incredibly easy to get around and get food. And the weather? It's been sunny and warm, and a local was confused when I asked what season it was. They don't have seasons! No more ice and snow! I think I'm going to like it here.
Day 28 Huh. Still sunny and warm today Diary. I expected at least some clouds or rain or a thunderstorm, but nothing yet. It's been sunny and warm all month long. They don't even count months here! They just track the days in a yearly period! Went out to my "garden" (really the forest behind my house) for some lunch and just grabbed whatever I could pick. It was all tasty and easy to eat.
Day 62 Diary. It's still sunny and warm. I don't get it. Every day is exactly the same. All the locals don't notice or care, and when I ask about weather they look at me oddly. Didn't feel like foraging today, so I just ate some of the "grass" in the backyard. It's fine, tastes like pistachio.
Day 180 OMG DIARY! It rained today! Everyone was so scared! They said it only happens once a year or so and was all worried about it. Schools were closed and everyone stayed inside. It wasn't even a thunderstorm! It just rained for about 90 minutes in the morning, then the clouds parted and it was sunny and warm again. I stood outside in the rain the whole time not even caring that I was getting wet.
Day 200 I've read just about every book I can get my hands on, twice! I've watched all the shows that I can get off my pad, human and non! (I will say, those K'laxi historical dramas are very good, but I don't like the Xenni war documentaries). I. am. bored.
Day 250 Okay, you're going to think I'm getting weird Diary, but this can't be normal. It rained once the whole time I was here, it's never gotten too cold or too hot, has always been sunny or partly sunny, I can eat practically everything around me and get this - it's so easy to sneak up on the locals. It sounds mean when I write it out, but I can just crouch in the bushes and when one walks by jump up and go BOO! And they scream and run away. The fourth time I did it, the authorities came by and asked me nicely to stop. They said they didn't want to "interfere with any human predator rituals" but that I had to "stop stalking the locals."
Day 380 It's been more than a year, and I'm more convinced than ever that I am in hell. After that one time it rained last year, it hasn't done anything else! Also, I got in trouble again for stalking the locals - I wasn't even going to attack them or anything, it's just TOO EASY to sneak up on them. I need to get another hobby or something.
Day 420 (nice!) So Diary, I got in some pretty big trouble with the planetary authorities this time. It turns out, nobody here had ever heard of Extreme Sports before. I was just so bored, that I had a motocross bike shipped over. I had found one that was just like I had when I was a kid on Earth! It was so cherry. Someone had done a lot of work to it. Anyway, I had built a little course in the back forest of my house, nothing crazy! But someone saw me doing jumps and getting some sick air, and called the authorities, worried I was "exhibiting symptoms of self-harm." They took my bike!
Day 500 Okay, I give. I can't live here anymore. If you can believe it, I'm getting burnt out on nice weather! I did a telehealth session with a human therapist off-world and they recommended I apply to be transferred back to a human world, or at least moved to a Starbase or ship. Somewhere where things can change, and there's more going on.

Snow&Chills
Master List
Summary: Itâs readers first time experiencing the show
Paring: Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Word Count: 877
Warnings: Nothing, just them having fun in the snow
Nat was sleeping peacefully when she was woken up by you jumping on her. She groaned as she opened her eyes and looked at you tiredly. She wrapped her arms around you, "what's wrong my love?" She asked tiredly, "it's snowing!" You exclaimed happily. Nat smiled a bit, you've been excited knowing December was coming up so that meant snow.
"Can we go out and play Nat. Please!" You begged her, "hold on detka, we have to eat first and get into comfy clothes" you nodded as you jumped out of bed, ran to the restroom to get ready and ran to the kitchen where Wanda was serving pancakes. "Woah. Why are you in a rush?" She asked, laughing a bit as she served you your pancakes. "It's snowing Wanda! I've always wanted to experience the snow" you said happily digging into the pancakes. "I'm sure you'll love it" she said as she served Nat pancakes.
"You look like you had a rude awakening" Wanda laughed as Nat sighed and collapsed into the chair. "Slow down detka" Nat told you as you weren't even chewing. She turned to Wanda, "She jumped on me to wake me up this morning, she's really excited but I only give her 30 minutes out there until she starts whining about the cold" Nat told Wanda, you pouted at her and shook your head.
When you finished eating you patiently waited for Nat. You felt like she was eating slow on purpose to tease you but once she finished you jumped up and ran to go outside, "Y/N!" Nat yelling your name stopped you. "You have to wear proper attire sweetheart. Come on" she told you as she took your hand and walked you back to the bedroom.
She took out the winter clothes she bought you and bundled you up. "Nat. I can't even breathe" you mumbled as she made you put on 2 sweaters and a big jacket. "You'll be fine" she said as she zipped up the jacket and put a scarf over your neck and a woolen hat on your head. She then got your pants and boots which you quickly put on. She gave you the gloves which you were about to whine about but with her stern look you quickly put them on.
You came out of that room wobbling and all bundled up. Wanda let out a laugh as you wobbled over to her. "Don't you think this is too much?" you mumbled, Wanda shook her head. "Trust me. It's not" you hummed and waited for Nat. When she came out you raced to the door to get out.
You started making a snow angel once you got out, you always said it was the first thing you would do when you got to experience snow. Nat laid down next to you and watched as you did it. Things escalated more when you started building a snowman, it was almost done but you got a random idea. You've always wanted to have a snowball fight so you made a snowball and threw it at Nat who was distracted on making the 2nd part for your snowman. She froze and gave you an evil smirk that made you run. She chased you and threw snowballs at you. You giggled as you were able to dodge some of them.
It was all going well until that assassin aim kicked in. She hit you square in the face making you fall on your ass. The giggles were cut and now you were both silent and looking at each other. "Shit, detka I am so sorry" Nat told you as she kneeled in front of you and wiped the snow off your face. Suddenly you were cold. "Nat I'm cold" you whined as she helped you up. "Let's go inside then" she told you as she took your hand and led you inside
You were shivering. You didn't know why, you had 2 sweaters and a big jacket. Nat was over here with only 1 sweater and a big jacket yet it didn't even affect her. "How are you not cold?" You asked in a shaky voice, making her smile. "I'm Russian sweetheart. This is nothing to me" she told you as you walked into the room and quickly got out of those clothes that were holding you down.
"How about I make us some hot chocolate?" Nat asked as she got out of her clothes as well. You nodded and watched her quickly get changed and leave to start the hot chocolate as you threw yourself on the bed and curled into yourself under the sheets. After about 10 minutes you decided to get up to be near Nat and grabbed 2 blankets m and walked to the kitchen where Nat was. She laughed at how you were dragging there 2 but blankets and watched as you flopped on the couch and curdled into yourself and put on your favorite movie.
Nat came with 2 mugs of hot chocolate and you two snuggled up to each other wrapped in blankets and enjoyed the movie. It was safe to say you will probably avoid the snow for some time.

Cat: I would love to go back to Sulani though., I met a lovely old lady there named Mama Kevari. She smokes more than the volcano, but she was helping me through my long term nightmare disorder... and I met a sweet fellah who showed me around the place and helped put me in contact with Mama Kevari. Kali sort of ruined the lessons, I hope to go back and finish up with Mama Kevari. I can't go back until Kali's done. Maybe you can come with me when it's over. We could make a week of it... sun, sea, lovely bronzed men and women to look at... Cat looks a bit dreamy for a moment...
"More than any of that. Sulani felt like home... like I still feel like I'm vacationing here and waiting to go back. If that makes any sense."
Francine: Yeah you know, maybe I could go, I have some family there, and... perhaps I could go see them. I've always fancied a sulanian cigar on their pristine beaches.
Cat: I can say the sulanian cigars smell great. I didn't smoke any, but Mama Kevari is the lady who cultivates the tobacco for them.
Francine: My fiance's father gets them in when he has um... business... meetings and such.
****
Cat: From what I was told, she cultivates and then they recreate in larger production fields and then make them to her specifications. If you want cigars, she's the lady to speak to. She's strange though, she knows things... blind as a bat, but walks about without a guide... even knew my childhood nickname. I feel like she also knew that Kali was coming too.
Francine: Did you know Sulani has a king? It has a royal family... it's not common knowledge they keep it a secret for some reason.
Cat: I wasn't aware until I met the prince. He was the dignitary that showed me around. I didn't want to come out and call him a prince as I don't think it's common knowledge, but if you have family there, then it isn't a surprise to you. Seems like all the natives know, but outsiders do not. It's an odd way to do things, but I'm not one to judge. Ozen, ahhh, He was a lovely man, very sweet and helpful... and gorgeous! It was the first time I'd wished I wasn't married... in a long time. Super polite too, a gentleman.
Elita: Yeah! You, Cat, may be surprised to learn that Francineâs father is actually the King. And that lovely green haired Prince is her brother. We all canât wait to see the look on your face then.
****
Elita: Reading minds is not one of my powers, but, this must have been a bit of a head fuck for Francine. Realising that sheâs an honest to gods Princess, and she has a king father, a prince brother. Her mom is living in paradise and sheâs here in this crummy shit hole?
Francine: hmm, sounds like somebody has her eye on a prince. So we need to establish some rules here pertaining to the divorce, got to go lawyer mode here.
Cat *blushes*: Well, he was a very sweet and pretty prince! Though I didn't learn that part until much later. Yes, of course. What do I need to do?
Francine: Firstly, no um... antics.. with the prince because you have to be snow fucking white in a fault divorce. And rule number 2, if you see an asthmatic woman who stutters, run! Thatâs a joke, but the real rule two, is to avoid any contact with Kali even if she tries to talk to you.
Cat: Ok, I can do that. I have a rule for you though... let's make a once a month meet up or more if you like once this is over, you and I need to go out and let our hair down, smoke and drink and oggle handsome people. Ok?
Francine: I agree! Completely.

<HAHAHA CANT BELIEVE IVE GOT A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL REQ,,, keep in mind i dont celebrate xmas so im pullin out a lot of clichés and i'm assuming it's a stereotypical northern hemisphere winter vibe just for funsies. ñakañaka to you too, dear reader>

stupid. you are stupid.
stupid for getting so excited around the holidays. for using your day off to prepare your painfully small studio apartment with a bunch of decorations bought from the local store, anything that was cheap and shiny. you expertly coordinated the colours, the theme and the shapes, putting up zigzags of fluffy green boas on the walls of your kitchen and swirls of red streamers in your living room. you couldn't afford a christmas tree both financially and space-wise, so you took your local houseplants, covered them in random cut-out figures and makeshift ornaments, then allocated a small corner in their honour. it was cute, but there was no one to share it with.
stupid for getting your hopes up. you hadn't spoken to your boyfriend in so long, hadn't received a response to all your lovesick voice messages or texts, telling him how much you missed him and how badly you wanted him back home. chances are that the number you were contacting had gotten tossed, thrown in the garbage on a mission that was too high-risk for him to compromise your safety. it was worse when you thought about the fact that he was doing this for you; sometimes you wanted to track him down, show up to wherever he was spying and kiss him numb in front of whoever he was supposed to be infiltrating.
stupid for baking cookies. they were really good tooâ you picked whatever recipe online that you could find and made 2 dozen of them. you ate half, music playing on your speaker, sitting down on your sofa all alone. you wished you'd have someone to share them with.
the cold outside made this holiday season all the more unbearable, with the delicate snowflakes whisking around the frigid air outside. you were safe inside, snuggled up by the fireplace with a book and a blanket, but feeling incredibly lonely.
"you've probably tossed this burner phone by now..." you couldn't resist the temptation and pulled out your phone in order to leave him another voicemail, "but michi, baby, I miss you. I know I'm supposed to love all this me time or whatever, but... fuck, I made cookies and all I wanna do is stuff them in your beautiful face. man, I've gone crazy, haven't I? anyways... I miss you. I love you. I just hope you're safe and come home soon."
you had to get your mind off of things. you had to do something, anything to get out of your head. you were off work, but you didn't have the mind to concentrate on any activities at home by yourself, and all your friends were busy with family and loved ones.
you decided to go for a walk outside, in the freezing cold snow.
it did wonders for your head. you didn't even have your headphones in, which was odd, but instead listened to everything around. you snuggled further into your coat, told yourself that you should've worn more layers, been more prepared for the cold, but it was refreshing nonetheless. you didn't keep track of the time, instead visiting every corner of your neighborhood and just strolling around as you pleased. by the time your nose felt like it was going to freeze off, you were approaching the entrance of the building.
someone was at the door, in a familiar army-green coat with beige fur around the collar. you nearly tripped over yourself running over to the figure, excitement louder in your mind than the fear of accidentally trapping the wrong person in a bear hug.
to your surprise, you didn't hug a person at all. you were hugging a floating jacket that seemed to be carrying all its weight at four spots where small metal clips were positioned. you yanked the coat off of the clips, relishing in the faint smell of your lover, only pulled out of your happiness by a cold impact on your back.
you turned around to look at the son of a bitch who threw a snowball at you.
"aren't you cold?" you chuckled, seeing tachihara in only his v-neck long sleeved shirt you would tease him about and say looked like that of a school girl. "taking off your coat just 'cause you're dramatic as hell."
"you're spunky for someone who left me about a million sappy voicemails in the past week," he retorted in a sassy tone. despite the words exchanged, you dropped his jacket on the snow and ran over to him like you were a housewife waiting for him to come back from war, which you might as well have been. he caught you hurling your body at him and gave you a twirl around while you giggled and peppered his face in kisses.
when he finally set you down, you had your hands wrapped around the back of his neck, his on your hips, and you pulled him in to feel his lips on yours. "you really are dramatic as hell."
"and you love me." his gloved hand balanced your chin on his curled index finger and brought you back in for another kiss. "m'sorry I was gone for so long this time."
you shook your head, holding him tighter as if he would dissipate and float away if you let go. "you're here now. that's all I care about." your grip tightened and you hopped up so that you could wrap your legs around his hips. "now carry me inside and make it up to me."
"oh, she's demanding, ain't she?" he chuckled, holding you up by your thighs. "I haven't even been back more than two seconds and I'm getting ordered 'round."
"shut up, you know you love it," you giggled, trying to climb off of him so you could walk into your home but his grip was firm and he didn't seem intent on letting you go. "baby, I was joking, you can put me down now."
"hm? if ya say so."
and he tossed you onto the ground.
you weren't expecting that, but laughed in the snow as you processed what he'd just done. in retaliation, you kicked out his ankles and he collapsed right next to you. obviously, you both knew that he could've dodged it, but he let himself fall by your side and lay his arm across your waist. he shivered, his barely covered torso coming in direct contact with the cold snow while snowflakes fluttered onto his lashes and hair. he laughed again as he rolled onto you, trapping you under his weight while you looked up at him dreamily.
"I missed you," you whispered seriously, saying those words for the thousandth time today, "a lot. I'm glad you're back."
he struggled to formulate a response, blush almost as red as the tips of his frozen ears or his hair, instead letting his body drop onto you and kiss you on the forehead. "I missed you more than you could ever imagine. almost got caught daydreamin' about you a few times on the mission."
"is that so?" you perked up a brow, amused. tachihara finally got off of you, offering his hand to help you up while the other brushed off the melting wetness on his back and knees. "what kind of daydreams?"
he pulled you up once you took his hand, leading you inside the apartment building while he shook his head to loosen the water droplets at the tips of his hairâ almost like a dog. he leaned into your ear and whispered, "the kind I can't say out loud."
"how 'bout a more visual description, then?" you offered innocently, and he chuckled. once you reached the front door, you'd completely forgotten all of the loneliness you'd been feeling when you'd initially left. you barely made it inside the entrance when he had your back pressed against your decorated walls, knee slotted in between your legs and lips back on yours.
you took off your jacket and other garments, trying to toss them in the closet without breaking the kiss. only, once you'd finally kicked off your boots, you remembered his jacket.
"fuck, it's still outside, my bad," you murmured against him, "should I go back down and get it?"
"no need, just open up a window."
you did as he asked while he got settled, warming up by the fireplace and munching on the now cooled-down baked goods. the place still smelled like the sugar cookies, so he commented on how incredibly festive it all seemed. you just shrugged and said you had free time, but quickly admitted you were a little lonely lately. he noticed your frown and unconsciously mimicked it.
"anyways, are you gonna tell me why I'm opening a window when it's freezing outside?" you asked, turning towards him.
"close your eyes," he instructed. you felt a twinge of excitement as you complied.
a few moments later, you heard some clattering outside. barely resisting the urge to peek, you stole a quick look outside and saw the floating jacket, again. you rolled your eyes, placed a hand on your hip and scolded him for acting so melodramatic again. he just chuckled, but his laugh was enough to get your heart thawing out. he brought it inside and you closed the window behind it, but told him to levitate it to the closet. meanwhile, you had to drag him to the bedroom to get him to change out of his soaking wet clothes.
you watched him pull his damp shirt over his head while you got yourself comfortable on the bed. with his torso bare, you stared just a little too long at him, shamelessly, and tsked when he reached for the drawer for a replacement.
"hey, I'm still fuckin' frozen," he explained himself, but you jumped up and grabbed his wrist to stop him from putting anything on.
"we have a fireplace for that reason, love," you retorted.
that was just an excuse to get him naked for you in any way you could, and he let it happen. you cuddled with him on the sofa, his head buried in between your tits with your hands roaming all over his skin. under the covers, you got greedy and began sliding your hands under his pants. he let you take them off, but took your shirt off as well. heavy breathing into his mouth distracted you from skilled fingertips tugging off your pants next.
"I... mmm..." you hummed softly against him as you let him pull you on top of him. you sat down on him, legs parted on both sides and throbbing in between them hard to control. "haven't felt you... in so long..."
it was a request, and he knew it. your fingers couldn't do the trick, not once you had gotten used to his own, skilled and rough and so knowledgeable in understanding every spot and nook that could have you sighing on his knuckles. and he was just that; knuckle-deep in your soaking pussy as you spasmed around his fingers and felt him curl them around inside your walls.
"someone missed me a lot," he remarks with a smug grin while he looked at your eyes tightened shut and jaw slacked open as you rode his hand. you placed your hand on his neck, both steadying yourself so you could fuck yourself harder on his hand and choking him lightly so he would shut the fuck up.
you lowered your chest so you could kiss him heatedly through the fingerfucking, and whispered sweet nothings in his lips while occasionally gasping and panting for air.
"still cold?" you asked cheekily in his ear, licking around the shell and biting down on his earlobe. "or d'you want me to sit on that pretty cock of yours?"
he really was frozen; you felt his frigid skin as you pulled down his boxers and his cock sprung free, familiar pulsating as he grunted through the sensation. you lowered yourself onto him, slow and relishing in his pleasurable whimpers, and rocked into him even slower. it was just the two of you, by the fireplace, gently fucking while you smothered him in kisses.
you couldn't have asked for a better christmas present this year.

UnTamed Ch.19
Damian Wayne x OC!Female
Prev | Next
"It has potential," Jason said as he stepped over some broken floorboards.Â
"It needs work," Asta said, lifting her cloak as she tiptoed across the weak floors. I don't smell mold. The roof and outer walls are intact. That's all good." She watched rats scurry across the floors. It was an abandoned apartment building sitting between Crime Alley and the Narrow. They plan to renovate it and put it to use.
They were still debating the use. Of course, they wanted it to house people, but the kind of people was the argument. Jason didn't want to put any stipulations on allowing all people in the building who needed it. Asta didn't want sex workers, drug dealers, or drug users. She had no problems with these people. Their activities and professions, however, were dangerous.
She had first had accounts of sex workers and drug dealers being followed and attacked by clients she didn't want to endanger the other residents. As for the drug users, they use and sometimes overdose; children didn't need to see that. Sometimes, they got desperate and stole. These people were already at rock bottom. They don't need their junkie neighbor stealing what little they have. And she witnessed enough dealers vs users fights to know housing them together wasn't a good idea.Â
Asta figured they'd find or make housing for them elsewhere. Honestly, the argument didn't matter at the moment. It was the middle of late winter, and the snow was still piled high. Nothing could be done until the snow started to clear.
"This could be a room for the children. A playroom or daycare, perhaps?"Â
"Perhaps? You talk like Damian."
"What's wrong with that?" she looked to the corner of the room where the ceiling had caved in. The damage was heavy.Â
"Damian sounds fancy and talks as such." he steps over the debris to get a closer look. " You, however, have a street accent. It's just... sounds funny. Not trying to make fun of you or-"
" You think you can hurt me," she says as she looks out a broken window. There's a lot of space out back, and they could make a playground. I don't wear clothes, I walk around bear-footed, I can't... I've heard or thought of worse," she chuckles to herself. She had a lot of experience with Gotham's cruelty.Â
"The Basement could be a laundry room," Damian said. He smirked at Jason's flinch.
" What are you doing here?" he was ignored.
" You'll have to order new machines and clean up the needles."
Asta approached him, giving him a peck on the cheek. " It needs more than a clean-up, Damian. Why are you here?"
"To see you and what you're working with. Also, Dick wants some sibling bonding. He and the others are waiting in the car."Â
Jason groaned before and started making his way outside. "
I don'tâ" he showed her a bag before she could finish. There went her excuse. " I made sure they were soft and comfortable." She dropped her cloak and pulled a dress from the bag. " It's soft cotton." She slipped on the grey sweater dress. It was soft and thick and stopped just above her knees. He pulled out a pair of socks and black boots that stopped just below her knees.Â
"Do I look civilized?"Â
"You look beautiful."
"Why dresses?" Asta asked. She noted that it was always a dress whenever Damian brought her clothes. No matter the season, weather, or occasion, it was always a dress. And Damian did indeed have reasons.
"You don't like clothes. Dresses are flowing and easy to remove once you tire of them." how thoughtful. She smiled and took his arm as he led her out of the building.Â
-
"It's an Arcade," Dick said. "We can see that, stupid," Jason said, walking past him with the others.Â
"What's your favorite game?" Duke asked, falling behind to walk with Asta and Damian." Um, cheese Viking," she said, although it was the only thing she played, so there were no other references. " Cheese Viking, really?" she shrugged. " They have one somewhere around here. Maybe you can beat Damian's score." She looked at Damian.
"Challenge accepted," Damian smirked before taking her hand and leading her away.Â
Duke smiled as he watched the couple disappear into the crowd, looking for the game.
" Never would I have imagined Demon brat with a girl," Tim said as he stood with his other siblings watching Dick and Cassandra play air hockey.
" I always thought whoever he did end up with would be as crazy or weird as him, " Steph saidÂ
"That's the problem," Jason said. " The moment you stop calling him crazy and Demon brat, you'll remember he's just a kid. It's quite easy to see they're just weird kids." with that said, he and Duke walked off to play an open shooting game together.
"Cute," Cassandra said as she looked at the young couple. She was just as competitive as Damian if her focus said anything. Damian looked very entranced with her. Finish their game, Dick approached the couple, who were now arguing.Â
"Luck"
"Well then, call me Lady Luck because I just beat your score."Â
"How about a rematch, Lady Luck?"
"how about you give others a chance to play," Dick said.Â
"We have Cheese Viking at home." Damian whispered, " Let's find another game."Â
They found a motorcycle game Damian vs. Tim. While Dick and Asta watched.Â
"How did you meet him?" he asked. She smiled. " he was working... work? He caught me stealing from thieves. Robin Hood situation, he let it slide when I told him why-we met off and on during his work until he finally decided I was a friend. We were near inseparable after that." she looked on at him in adoration.
"How did he get you to be his girlfriend?" she turned to him, confused.
" He asked?"
"No, I mean, how did he do it?"
"why? Need advice? I'd talk to Alfred," she teased. " Lunch. He got me a fancy dress, took me to a fancy lunch, and told me his feelings had changed and grown, and he wanted to proceed into a possibility. A romantic relationship. His exact words. I said okay, and here we are," she said almost breathlessly.
Dick smiled as he thought about it. It definitely sounded like Damian. He could imagine Damian speaking in his posh tone, treating it more like a business meeting. All stiff and proper until she agreed. He couldn't imagine how he relaxed, though. He couldn't imagine Asta relaxed either. The only he'd ever seen her as relaxed was when she was unconscious. Any other time she was tense or anxious. They could always see it. She was never calm or relaxed despite everything they tried. Alfred hinted at seeing her relaxed but never told how. Even now, Dick could see her anxiously pulling at her dress.
Despite her smile, she wasn't comfortable here. " Have you ever played Pac-Man?" he asked, maybe he could distract her.Â
"I've heard of it."
-
Hours later, the group found themselves in a pizza parlor indulging in an amount of grease Alfred would not approve of. But everyone was enjoying themselves, so maybe he'd let it slide.Â
"Alright, I see it now," Tim said. " You two are a perfect competitive match."
"Yes, we've come together to kick your butt," Asta said smugly. The others laughed and teased him. It was then that she noticed.
She arrived at the manor. Asta had been having trouble with her empath abilities, being emotionally overwhelming all the time but hiding so as not to be upset or seem rude. She focused on one person's emotions, usually Damian or Alfred. Damian was aware of her abilities and tried to help. And Alfred was simply more put together than others and held his emotions as such. They were easy to cling to.
But here she was now, surrounded by all his siblings, clinging to no one for the first time since entering the manor. She was taking in all their emotions (aside from Bruce and Alfred), and she was doing fine. She felt their joy, amusement, and love, and it felt so good. She felt so good.
Turning to Damian, she grins and takes his hand, engulfing him in the surrounding happiness she felt. He gasps at the sudden feelings. He grins, too, turning to her and pulling her into a kiss. Just a peak, but it was enough to have his siblings cooing and teasing. They did not care because with that one peck she felt all his love.Â

A cold cure for Insomnia
Hey look, it's not a genshin fic
wild huh?
I'll preface this with 2 things: 1: I am, for some reason, incredibly nervous abt posting a fic that is 100% outside my wheelhouse. I've never actually posted anything but genshin fic since I started uploading a couple years ago, only like, one friend has ever seen anything else from me so this is a bit of a step. 2: this is nothing put pure, indulgent lesbian bullshit and I'll also note that I have no idea how to write f/f smut, so be gentle with me.
If you're only here for my genshin stuff, have a nice day and we'll be back to regularly scheduled bullshittery shortly. Until then, please enjoy me, self indulging over my pokemon wife.
Elite 4 Rika x Fem!Reader 7.4k words, not proofread, we die like prof. sada
NSFW, honestly it's just a whole lot of fkn smut with some fluff sprinkled in there, praise kink, hair pulling, use of toys, oral, tribbing, koraidon being an unintentional wingman.
What a day.
Sometimes you wonder how Nemona did it, rushing around doing champion things all the time. Honestly, ever since youâd beat Geeta all those years ago while you were still in school, it felt like every day was âgo here, check this gym, go there, check that gym.â And you were getting a little tired of it.
Especially recently, with Nemona currently travelling somewhere in the Kalos region doing Arceus knows what, and Geeta being stuck in paperwork hell with the Academy preparing for their annual treasure hunt, youâd been swamped, needing to go and check every. Single. Gym. to make sure they were all up to par.
(who knows maybe this year a new student would claim the champion title and you could retire? Thatâd be nice.)
Montenevera was the last stop on your trip, and while the vibe was always lovely in the snowy mountain townâŠyouâd never been particularly fond of the cold⊠Only made worse by Rhyme and her gang of ghost pokemon sending a particular shiver down your spine that you just couldnât shake.
Night had fallen by the time you finally walked out the sliding doors of the League building, only to be greeted by your one nemesis.Â
Fucking snow.
Here, on the outskirts of Mesagoza.
You wanted to scream, but that wasnât very becoming of a League champion now was it?
So with a sigh, you reach for a specific pokeball on your hip. The trek home wasnât far, but in the sleet and cold, you knew itâd be faster if you rode.
Koraidon however, apparently had other ideas.Â
The moment his feet touch the cold ground, he yelps and backs right up and into the League building once again.
âKoraidonâŠcâmon bud, we just need to get home.â you sigh âI know youâre tired tooâŠI promise to make you the best dang sandwich when we get homeâŠyeah?âÂ
The paradox pokemon simply looks at you with wide, sad eyes and a low chitter before he willingly returns to his ball.Â
GreatâŠ.just great. Not even your most reliable pokemon was willing to brave even more snow, not after today.
âWoah-ho, whatâs gotten under his scales?â a familiar voice sounds from behind you, snapping you from your despondent staring at Koraidonâs pokeball. The familiar click of dress boots give her away before Rika steps into view.
How she always managed to look so very casual while pulling off suspenders was beyond you, but every time you were anywhere in the vicinity of the first member of the Elite four, you found your mouth running dry and your mind wandering very far away from here. She tilts her head at you and it takes her waving her hand in front of your eyes to realise you were absolutely staring at her.
Way to go.
âWoah, you alright? You look wiped.â She comments, her brow furrowing as she looks you up and down.Â
âA-ahâŠyeah, sorryâŠsâbeen a long few daysâŠâ you eventually mumble, turning your gaze to the floor as you clip Koraidonâs ball back to your belt with the others. âGeetaâs had me checking and rechecking all the gyms to make sure theyâre ready for the next treasure huntâŠwe just got back from MonteneveraâŠcoldâŠtiredâŠand now itâs snowing a-and Koraidon is justâŠtoo tired to take me home..âÂ
A slender, comforting hand gently rests between your shoulder blades, rubbing small, soothing circles and it takes everything in you to not crumble apart there, man, how desperate did you have to be to nearly cry at friendly touch? âYou live all the way on the other side of town, dontcha?â She asks, her free hand raising to push some of her green hair from her face as the look of worry on her features only seems to grow âAinât no way youâre making that walk in this stateâŠâ
âIâll liveâŠâ you sigh, hanging your head and readjusting your bag as you lift your head to look at the snow flurry that was definitely only getting heavier.
âNah, Câmon, you can crash at mine tonight, itâs closer.â Rika chimes, patting you on the back and passing you a wink before she heads out the door.Â
You blink, watching her back in silence, there was no way she had just invited you to spend the night, absolutely no way. You needed to go see a doctor and maybe get your hearing checked-
âYou comin? Or did Rhymeâs Toxtricity paralyse you up there in Montenevera?â She calls, stopping and looking over her shoulder. There's aâŠa look in her eyes that you can't quite make out, but it makes your heart jackhammer just that little bit, especially when she turns and offers her hand âCâmon, let's get you home, yeah?â
You swallow the lump in your throat as you blink at her outstretched, gloved hand and then up at her smile.
Arceus, you were weakâŠhow you ever made champion when you canât even look the first of the Elite four in the eye without feeling your cheeks heat, youâll never know.
Finally, you reach out and take her hand, not expecting her to tug you into her side, arm draping over your shoulders as she starts walking again, all but pulling you along with her. Her hand gives your shoulder a reassuring squeeze as she shares her body warmth with you on the trek down the mountainside towards the tunnel. For someone so slim, she wasâŠmuch warmer than you expected, and you find yourself sleepily zoning out, simply focusing on one food in front of the other.
Thankfully, Rika was pretty alright with not needing to make small talk. This wasnât the first time you had both justâŠexisted in the same space in silenceâŠto be fair the silence on your part before was because you had no idea how to talk to her without muddling your words like a lovestruck idiot, and perhaps that was still the case. Regardless, you play up the âtiredâ aspect and simply bask in being close.
The unfortunate downside to the tunnel from Mesagoza up to the League headquarters, was the wind. Right now? Frigid and inhospitable, the icy chill stinging at your eyes, at least until your companion comes to your rescue, shifting you behind her taller frame and blocking the wind, hand moving from your shoulder to your hand, giving that same reassuring squeeze as she looks over her shoulder, small smile on her face.
You swear you can feel her thumb gently rubbing over your knuckles as she bends her arm behind her back to keep a secure hold on you.
RikaâŠshe really was something else, something you didnât deserve.
The moment the tunnel spits you both out into Mesagozaâs side streets, she takes an immediate right. Had you been walking home, you would have had to take a left and trudge all the way to the other side of the city, past the academy and almost to the pokemon centre by the west gate.Â
The flurry of snow was only getting worse, you can feel your clothes growing heavy and damp, and the concrete was getting slippery. Thankfully itâs not all that long before she tugs you into an apartment building and into a blessedly warm elevator. Holding you steady as your world begins to spin and blur at the edges. Perhaps you really had pushed it a bit too much today, hitting Cascarrafa, Glaseado and Montenevera in a single dayâŠ
âHey.â Rika murmurs as your head rests against her shoulder âStay with me, nearly there, kay? Weâll get you inside nâwarmed up, yeah?âÂ
âMmhâŠkay..â you manage to mumble back, simply enjoying being held, even if it was light. Her arm wrapped around your torso as you just breath. She smells like CedarwoodâŠand maybe a hint of OzoneâŠmight have something to do with her Camerupt⊠but itâs not an unwelcome scent at all. You only get a few moments to enjoy it before the elevator chimes, and youâre gently tugged out into, and down a hallway. Rikaâs free hand fishing her keys from her pocket. She has to let you go to get the door open, muttering something about a stuck lock and needing to call maintenance, but with a bodily shove of her shoulder, the lock clicks and the door swings open.
Her apartment is blessedly warm, she must have left the heater on when she left for work this morning, because the warm air nearly takes you out before you even enter the door, needing to lean against the frame with a relieved sigh, knowing that even if you had made it home tonight, your heater had definitely not been on, and hadn't been for several days.
Rika only laughs softly, gently pulling you inside so she could close the door.Â
âHereâŠlets get you to the bathroom and into the showerâŠyouâre absolutely freezing.â She mutters. Half-carrying you down the hall. Her apartment isâŠhonestly what you expected. Neat enough, but not overly tidied. Lived in, comfortable, Inviting. Shades of soft greens and earthy tones scattered everywhere, a few large pokemon beds scattered about for her pokemon to enjoy outside of their balls. The only things really alluding to the fact that Rika was far more well off than most had to be the massive TV mounted to the living room wall, and what looked like one of the newer game consolesâŠthe ones that had been super hard to get because of a manufacturing supply issueâŠfancy.
You don't quite register that sheâs slowly pulling your clothes away from you until sheâs already got your beanie, scarf and jacket off, each item thrown into her laundry hamper, at some point sheâd also already started the shower for you, the room already beginning to fill with steam. You snap back to reality when theres a gently tug at the hem of your shirt, silently asking for your permission to remove it.Â
âO-oh, I uhâŠs-sorryâŠâ you mumble, raising your arms above your head anyway, cheeks flushing pink with embarrassment as she pulls the item away, the tank top beneath still leaving you modest enough to not die on the spot. âI-I can handle it from hereâŠâÂ
âYou sure?â she murmurs softly âSâno big deal to me.âÂ
âY-yeahâŠIâll be fineâŠthanks.âÂ
You watch as the tiniest hint ofâŠdisappointment? Flickers across her featuresâŠno, surely you were imaginingâŠbut she doesnât push it any further.
âAlrighty, Iâll go find something you can wear for the night and then throw your clothes in the laundry once youâre in the shower, yeah?â
âMmâŠt-thank you RikaâŠyou reallyâŠyou didnât have to-â you mumble, unable to meet her gaze, but she just smiles and shrugs, her fingers slowly pushing a stray strand of hair out of your face.Â
âAnd what if I wanted to? You look like you need a break.â She retorts, sliding past you and continuing down the hall before you can reply.
Soon enough, the rest of your clothes join the laundry hamper and you slip into the shower, beneath the scalding spray and you want to cry all over again, your fingers begin to prick with pins and needles as they slowly regain feeling, serves you right for leaving your gloves at home.
A few minutes into your shower, you hear the distinctive, soft thud of cloth hitting the counter. âHereâs some jammies, sorry if theyâre a bit big.â Rika chuckles before vanishing back down the hall. You almost donât want to get out of the hot spray, especially not once you start giving yourself a good scrub down with whatever fancy-branded body wash she kept in here.
At least now you know what to buy that would make you smell like cedarwoodâŠ
After you feel the last of the dayâs grime finally wash from your body, you shut off the water and poke your head out of the shower. Thankfully Rika had already left a towel waiting atop the clothes sheâd sacrificed to you. Itâs as youâre drying off that you finally get a good look in the mirror andâŠwowâŠ
Now you think you understand why sheâd been so concernedâŠyou look like you had two black eyes, that's how tired you wereâŠ
â
You find Rika relaxing in the living room watching TV when you finally emerge, changed into a fresh set of long pyjamas and- you canât even stop the giggle when you notice the clodsire slippers.
âWhere on earth did you get those?â you ask, pointing to said slippers, earning a grin and a snicker from their wearer.
âLarry actually.â She chuckles âsecret santa a couple years back.â With that, she pats the spot on the couch next to her, and you, now warm and content, plop down beside her without a second thought, leaning against the arm of the couch with a content sigh. âHowâre you feelin?â she asks, idly flipping through the channels.
âMmhâŠmuch betterâŠthank you againâŠIâŠI donât think I would have made it homeâŠnot in this weather.â
âOh I coulda told you that, Honey. In fact Iâm pretty sure I did.â She snickers, her lips quirking at the side when she notes the way your cheeks flush pink at the pet name. âIâve ordered some takeout, sâtoo cold to go out nâ grab food...and Iâm usually too beat after work to bother cooking.âÂ
âThen how the hell do you stay so skinny?â You snicker at her, receiving a wink in response.
âOh I take my cardio seriously.â is all the response she gives before she finally decides there is nothing decent on regular TV, and switches over to a streaming service, throwing on some random popular movie.Â
Once again, you both settle into a comfortable silence, Rika rising from the couch half an hour in to fetch the dinner left at her door before returning, at some point with a blanket in tow. You sit up a little as she places the food on the coffee table and plops down right beside you this time, draping the blanket over both your laps. Itâs not until you take the first mouthful of that delightful galarian curry, that you realise just how hungry you are, barely paying attention to the movie as you scarf down your meal, fighting back tears at Rikaâs acts of kindness for the third time today, and only seemingly taking a breath once youâve finished your meal, leaning back into the arm of the couch with a content sigh, only to squeak when Rika finishes her own a few minutes later and bodily leans into your side, head to your chest and arms slowly wrapping around your torso as she pulls her legs up and gets comfortable beside you with a content huff.
Arceus she was just soâŠso handsome, breathtaking⊠and she was justâŠcuddling you like youâd both been doing this kind of thing for years⊠it was sudden, but it didnât feel wrongâŠand slowly, you bring your arm down from where it had been splayed along the back of the couch, to gently card through her hair, pulling some of her bangs from her face and tucking them behind her ear.
âHmmâŠyou should get some sleep, kiddoâŠarceus knows you need it.â She hums, glancing up at you from her spot on your chest. You know sheâs right, and she doesnât complain when you shift, even reaching behind her to hand you an extra cushion to tuck behind your head as you lay out along the couch, Rika coming to rest between your legs, head once again leaning onto your chest, her extra warmth and weight just adding another layer of comfort as you both go back to watching the movie.
Now usually, usually you were the kind of person who could drop off watching a movie quite easily. But on very rare occasions, you would find yourself struck with bouts of insomnia, and unfortunately for you, they always seemed to happen after periods of prolonged stress.
Like needing to go and personally make sure every gym was up to standardsâŠÂ
Before you even knew it, the credits begin to roll, youâre exhausted, but offensively awake, to the point where even Rika is surprised, blinking those beautiful crimson eyes up at you.Â
âCanât sleep?â she asks with a tilt of her head.Â
âSometimes Insomnia is a bitch.â You concede, she makes a noise of understanding.Â
âAh, yeahâŠI know that feelingâŠâ she admits, staring up at you, to the point you feel your cheeks heating again, and you avert your gaze âbut, thankfully, I know the best solution for that.â She adds, shimmying to push herself up on her hands and knees, looming over you, some of her hair, having been freeâd of its usual ponytail, cascading over her shoulders to tickle at your face.
âO-oh? AndâŠwhat might that be?â that look in her eyes is back, the one you couldnât quite read properly back at HQ, but here, with her inches from your face? Itâs loud and clear.
Hunger.Â
âDo you trust me?â She asks, her lips quirking into a smirk as you shrink beneath her.Â
âW-would I have followed you home if I hadnât?â you manage to squeak back at her, nowhere near as confident and commanding as it had sounded in your head. Itâs enough to make her chuckle, and you watch in a daze as she licks her lips, a single hand coming up to softly grip your chin, lifting your face.Â
âHm, toucheâŠâ and with that, her lips are on yours, she swallows the squeaking gasp that you let out, taking the opportunity of your mouth being open to send her tongue in to explore. To you it feels like electricity, like youâd just taken a thunderbolt to the senses; Sheâs soft, gentle, probing, gauging your reactions. Apparently she must have liked what she got, because she deepens the kiss, nipping at your lips as one hand tangles in your hair, rougher. You like this a bit better.Â
Youâre the one who needs to come up for air first, pulling your face away with a loud, breathless gasp as you try to catch your breath.Â
The look you find waiting for you isâŠpredatory, is the only word that comes to mind, and if it wasnât for the fact she was already between your knees, youâd be squeezing your thighs together so tight, because itâs doing somethingâŠfunny to your insides.
âHmmâŠyou ever done anything likeâŠthis before?â She asks, voice low and husky and youâre very ready to pass away, but you manage a shake of your head and the grin you get in response?Â
Itâs like a Mightyena whoâs just found itâs lunch. She was going to eat you, and she was going to enjoy every second of it.Â
âWell then, weâd best moveâŠcouch sex is great nâ all, but Iâd rather your first time be somewhere a little more comfortable.â she remarks, pulling away. You whine at the loss of her extra warmth, but that whine quickly turns to a yelp when she takes your arm and drags you up with a strength she hadnât shown you before. Always full of tricks, Rika was.Â
The admittedly short trek down the hall to her room isâŠhindered. Every few steps youâd find yourself pressed against the wall, Rika towering over you as hands tangle in your hair and lips crash to yours as she steals what little breath you manage to catch before youâre separating, taking a couple more steps and repeating the process.Â
Right outside the bedroom door, the slim trainer actually lifts you up the wall a ways, enough so that your legs instinctively wrap around her waist, nothing but her pyjama pants and the thin boxerâs youâd borrowed off her keeping you apart, but already entirely too much clothing in the way. You moan loudly when she rolls her hips into yours, the sensations all new and overwhelming, but you don't think youâve ever felt this good before in your life.
Her hands find your ass as she pulls back from the wall, holding you to her firmly as you both finally stumble into her room, only given a second to brace before sheâs throwing you down into the blankets, and even less time before sheâs on you, grinning and hungry as hands fly up your top, pushing it up your chest so she can finally access some skin.
âA-ah! Rika-â her name was lost on her for the time being, far too engrossed in leaving open mouthed kisses along your chest and stomach, mouth latching over one of your nipples while her hand works at the other. Your own hands twisting and clenching at her blanket, your squirming only made worse when she shifts again, her knee pressing between your legs and right against your aching cunt.Â
At some point, she manages to wrangle the top off you completely, throwing it to the void so her hands can explore the expanse of your chest properly, she leaves no patch of skin untouched, no freckle or blemish uncharted, and when your whining begins to pitch as the nipple she sucks on becomes too sensitive, she gets go, only to latch to your collar bone instead, hands roaming your body.
You let out an embarrassingly pitiful mewl when her fingers dip beneath the waistband of your borrowed boxers, and you immediately bring a hand up to cover your mouth. Rika, apparently, doesnât like that. Her hand retreating from its place as she props herself on the other, pulling away entirely, even shifting her knee back, depriving you of that delicious friction. Your hand is tugged away from your mouth and pinned to your side, her eyes narrowing dangerously.
âDonât.â She scolds quietly âI wanna hear you.â
âB-but-âÂ
âDonât be a brat.â she interjects, eyes flashing dangerously âI know that aintâ you⊠you wanna be a good girl, yeah?â
Oh.
Oh no.
That shouldnât have such an effect on you.Â
Thereâs no hiding it from Rika either. Her smirk widens as she stares smugly down at your trembling frame.Â
âOh? You like that huh? Well then, are you gonna be a good girl and do as I say?â she hums âIâll make sure you feel real good, yeah?â
âM-mhmâŠâ is all you manage to squeak out, earning a raised eyebrow.
âWhat was that? Didnât quite hear you there, princess.â Rika snickers. She knows exactly what sheâs doing, and the humiliation burns your ears and makes your insides squirm in a way you didnât think would feel as good as it did.
âI-Iâll be goodâŠâ you whisper, your hands twisting into the sheets as Rika hums, leaning down to press a chaste kiss to your burning cheek.Â
âThatâs a good girl.â she purrs âyou just relax nâlet me handle things, kay?â
You actually sigh into the kiss when she does finally return to what she was doing, your arms wrapping over her shoulders as she shifts back into place, hands lightly roaming your skin, teasing and testing sensitive spots, occasionally getting a little rougher, just enough to rile you a little more, before settling again. Before she can get back into your pants however, you tug at her shirt, whining into her mouth; thankfully, Rika is smart, she gets your hint and pulls away just long enough to tug her top off.
Her skin is soft, smooth, a few burn scars and claw marks here and there as she settles beside you, one of your thighs caught between her knees as she wraps an arm under your shoulders, pulling you close to her chest as the other hand grazes southward, she doesn't dally once her fingers breech the waistband of your boxers, quickly locating the sticky mess between your thighs with a pleased hum.
âMmm, look at thatâŠâ she hums as a pair of fingers easily delve through your pussy, retracting from your boxers entirely so she can admire the glistening slick dripping from her fingers. âYouâre so wet already, honeyâŠâ Rika makes sure you watch as she pops those two fingers into her mouth and you squeak, face burning in embarrassment.Â
She doesnât give you much time to react, the moment she pulls those slender fingers from her lips, she shifts, your boxers are wrenched off and youâre left bare before her as she parts your knees to settle on her belly between your thighs, eyes flashing devilishly in the low light, and hot breath ghosting over your most sensitive parts.
âR-Rika-â
âYou have no idea how long Iâve waited to get you into my bed.â She rasps between open-mouthed kisses along your thighs, arms wrapping around to keep yout hips in place as she takes her sweet time. âWhen was it⊠mmh, yeah I think it wasâŠtwo years ago? Koraidon suddenly came out of his ball all sorry lookinâ in the middle of a meetingâŠâ
Oh Arceus, you remember that meeting⊠Perhaps youâd been a little soft with KoraidonâŠheâd learnt that if he looked sorry enough, youâd make him a sandwich⊠but it was getting awfully hard to focus when a warm tongue suddenly licks a flat stripe into your cunt, and lips seal around your clit, shocking you from your thoughts as her strong hands prevent you from accidentally crushing her head with your thighs.
âWithout even stopping to think, you got up nâ you got him what he needed.â she whispers into your thigh once she finally pulls away âmiddle of a meetin⊠nâ heres our newest champion, making a sandwich for her pokemon.â she chuckles âI dunnoâŠsomething about how casually you justâŠdid thatâŠIâve wanted this ever since but Geetaâs always had you running all over the place, pinning you down has always been impossibleâŠleast until today.âÂ
âRikaâŠâ
âYouâre always doing everything for everyone else⊠you deserve to relax.â For a brief moment, she flashes you a genuine smile, not a hint of that handsome smirk that youâre so used to; just genuine warmth before she tugs you down by your hips and returns her mouth to you, long strokes of her tongue between your folds that leave any words dead in your throat, and your hands tangling in her hair for any semblance of control. You didnât want to hurt her, but when she sucks harshly on your clit, you cry out and yank on her hair a little harder than youâd meant to, any apology dying when she groans and shudders, her eyes rolling back for a moment.Â
âYouâre killin me, kid.â She sighs in the brief moment she brings herself to separate from you âkeep doin that and you might end up in trouble.â
It sounds like a threat⊠but the way she suddenly looks soâŠdebauched, has you tugging at her silky hair again when a pair of fingers slowly begin to prod at your core, spurring her on as you squirm and mewl.
Eventually, you feel something deep in your belly, different from before, something building that has your breath coming harshly as you try to squirm away, stopped by a firm hand pressing just below your navel.
âR-rika-! s-somethingsâŠI-I feel-â you whimper as the pressure builds, you expect her to pull away in concern, but her eyes flash with realisation, and she only seems to double down, her long, slender fingers curling inside of you and brushes againstâŠsomething. Something that has you nearly scream her name as that pressure snaps and your world turns white, fingers curling harshly into her hair.
Somewhere, through the haze, you feel a weight resting on you, and a hand resting on your cheek, but it takes a little longer for your ears to finally stop ringing and realise Rika was gently calling your name.
âThere you are..â She chuckles softly as you finally remember how to uncross your eyes and look at her. âThat looked intenseâŠyou ok?âÂ
âUhâŠuh-huhâŠâ you respond dumbly, resting your cheek against her hand âwhatâŠwhat was that..?â
Rikaâs lips pull into a thin, concerned line as her brows furrow.
âThey really didnât teach sex-ed at the academy, did they?â She asks.
âI-I meanâŠthey didâŠsâjustâŠbasic..â you mumble as you slowly come down fromâŠwhatever high that just was.
âObviously.â she sighs with a shake of her head âWas that seriously your first orgasm?âÂ
Oh.
âohâŠI uhâŠyeahâŠI guess it was.â and the humiliation was back. You knew what an orgasm was in theoryâŠyouâd just..never bothered to try it yourself.Â
âWellâŠI suppose I should count myself honoured then.â She snickers, leaning in to kiss at your undoubtedly sweaty forehead. âCouple more of those Nâ I think youâll be sleeping like a Komala.âÂ
âM-moreâŠ?â you whisper, she laughs, catching your wide-eyed expression.
âOh yeah, that was just foreplay, sweet thingâŠyou did so well.âÂ
And the praise was back, despite the way your joints feel molten hot, you still manage to squirm beneath her.Â
âI- s-should IâŠumâŠh-help you now?â your question is barely a whisper, all nervesâŠyou have no idea how she did what she did but it feltâŠwrong to take and not give.Â
But Rika only shakes her head.Â
âWhatâd I say before?â she chides, slowly sitting back on her knees âYour one job tonight is to relaxâŠIâve got you.âÂ
âButâŠwhat about you-â
âDonât you worry about me. Iâll get off eventually.â She chuckles, smirking when you sigh and relent. âI want one more outta you before then though.â She mumbles as she shifts out from between your knees, sitting and reaching for her bedside table as you stare at the ceiling, basking in the shaky afterglow.Â
âD-did youâŠmean what you said before?â you mumble more at the ceiling than anything âthat youâve beenâŠwaiting for this..?âÂ
âWhat reason do I have to lie to you?â She chuckles as she fiddles withâŠwhatever sheâs fiddling with. âYou earned my respect the day you beat me when you first took on the Elite four, my admiration when you beat Geeta and became a championâŠâ
âGodâŠthose stupid glasses haunt me.â you snicker, remembering rather vividly being sat, alone in a room with Rika when you had first taken on the league, youâd read up plenty on other pokemon leagues in other regions, but never once had any of them had an interview-style exam right at the start.
âHey, I like my glasses, thank you very much!â Rika snorts as she finally shifts back over, pulling you close with one arm as somethingâŠnew slides between your legs, a quick glance and- oh.
You never really took Rika for the kind to own toysâŠbutâŠat the same time, you never really gave it much thought. Itâs nothing extreme, but to you, whoâs never had anything other than a pair of slender fingers inside you very recently, the silicone toy is still rather intimidating.Â
âThis ok?â She asks, mouthing at your neck and shoulder âif you donât want to, you donât have to.â
âIâŠI do..just..nervous is all.âÂ
âMmh, good girl, so trustingâŠâ there she goes again with the pet name that makes you shiver, not helped by the cold press of lubricated silicone against your still-sensitive cunt, gently pressing just that little bit further as Rika mouths your neck, nibbling down on the juncture between throat and shoulder, an adequate distraction as she pulls your leg out of the way with her own and sinks the toy in, slowly, almost tender as she coos comforts, coaxing you to relax, praise falling from her easily.Â
âLook at that, you took it so well.â She praises once the toy reaches the hilt âfuck, youâre making me regret not buying a harness⊠might just have to pick one up so I can fuck you proper, yeah?âÂ
You can't even bring yourself to respond to her dirty talk, blinking hazily downwards as you gently press a hand just below your belly-button, taking the hint, Rika pulls the toy almost all the way out and then thrusts it back in. The feeling of it inside you, plus being able to feel it beneath your hand makes you moan loud and long, head falling back against the pillows as Rika lets you go, using her now free arm to prop herself up to watch you as she begins rhythmically working the dildo in and out of you, a small shift of her thumb has it brushing against your clit every time she sinks the silicone back into you, only adding to the layers of pleasure as your toes curl and your legs twitch.
âLook at you taking it like you were made for this, good girl.â she purrs, licking at her lips âI really shoulda found another reason to get you alone waaay before now.â
âUnghâŠpleaseâŠp-pleaseâŠmoreâŠâ It takes more than you feel like it should to beg, good as it felt, youâre worried that Rika was perhaps treating you just a little too softly. âRika pleaseâŠplease please pleas-â
âWoah there, settle down baby.â She whispers, kissing at your cheek âLookit you, telling me what you want like a good girlâŠwho am I to deny the champion?âÂ
Your attempt at telling her she didnât need to use your title is quickly drowned out when she sits up, plunging the toy deeper inside of you with this new angle, brushing up against that one spot that had triggered your last orgasm. Her free hand pins your chest down as she smiles down at you, predatory and hungry for your reactions as she ups the pace, occasionally stopping to really grind the toy deep inside of you, right against that sensitive spot that has your voice pitch higher while you grip at Rikaâs hand like your life depended on it.
As your next orgasm draws closer, you whimper, tugging at her hand, overstimulated ,overwhelmed, knowing you needed something, but not quite sure what that something was. At least until Rika pulls you to sit up, not even interrupting her pace as she braces you against her chest so you can hide your face away into the crook of her neck. All the while she mutters praise and pet names into your ear. She groans when that knot snaps for the second time tonight and you cry her name into her throat. You donât pass out like youâre pretty sure you did last time at least, but as the shocks of pleasure begin to fade out, you really do begin to feel the pull of exhaustion behind your eyes as you slump against Rikaâs shoulder, whimpering quietly when she slowly pulls the toy from your sensitive core, feeling the way your muscles involuntarily clench around it.
âHow was that, baby? You doin alright?â She asks, gently tossing the toy back towards the bedside table as she turns her attention back to you. You were dizzy, dazed, and exhausted, yet through all that one thought still persisted.
Sheâd been doing all of this for you, and she still had her goddamn pants on.
Her breath hitches when your hand drops to her thighs, pressing beneath the waistband as you try to swallow down your nervousness to return the favour properly, biting your lip as you find the slick, wet mess already waiting for you; in a way, it was comforting to know that she was in fact, turned on by all of this. Youâre clumsier than Rika at this, inexperienced and nervous, but you listen as she lets out a shuddering breath, her head leaning against yours for a moment as you slowly gain some confidence. That is until she grabs your wrist, ignoring your whine as she pulls your hand away and lays you back down, taking a moment to kiss any air out of your lungs, trying to calm your fraying nerves at being denied the chance to please her.Â
âHey⊠Itâs ok sweetie.â She murmurs against your lips, uncaring of your wide-eyed pout âOne moreâŠâ
âNooo.â you whine, wiggling in her grip âI cantâŠsâtoo much RikaâŠâ truly, you didn't think you could take another, no matter how good it felt, the first two had been so intense, but Rika only smiles.Â
âI know you can give me one more, sweet girl.â she purrs, watching as you squirm and shake your head like you could actually deny her. âWill you stop being a brat if I told you this one will also get me off?âÂ
At that, your squirming stops as you blink tiredly up at her, earning a chuckle and a fond shake of her head.Â
âR-really?â
âYeah, sânice n easy on you tooâŠyou wanna try?âÂ
You seriously doubted she could get another out of you, hell, you seriously doubted you could stay awake for much longer, her initial plan definitely workingâŠbut if it brought her pleasure tooâŠ
âO-okâŠIâll tryâŠâ
âThatâs my girl.â She whispers softly, pressing just as soft a kiss to your lips âLay back for me, princess.â
You do just that, shifting a few pillows to get comfortable, if you thought your joints ached before, now you felt like you've made the trip to the three final gyms today on footâŠperhaps you should make Koraidon his favourite sandwich as thanks for carrying you around all day.
You feel Rika take hold of one of your legs, lifting it so your knee bends over her shoulder as she settles into place, finally free of her own bottoms as she slots her pelvis against yours. You gasp at the feeling of your cores pressing together. It feltâŠsoft, but almost way more intimate and intense than anything sheâd done to you priorâŠwhatever she was doing, definitely wasnât covered in any sex-ed class youâd taken back in school.
Youâre about to ask, when she rolls her hips and oh-Â
Perhaps it was your already overstimulated state, or just the position itself, but as she slowly grinds herself against you, the friction leaves you breathless, even more so when you look at Rikaâs face. Her brow is furrowed in deep concentration as she bites at her bottom lip, face contorting in pleasure as she groans into your knee, her nails digging into the soft flesh of your thigh as she rolls her hips just a little harder, the pain only adding to the sensation.
âS-shitâŠâ she pants, âfuck you feel so goodâŠgood girl..â she moans, head tilting back as she stares up at the ceiling, shuddering when you whimper and lift your hips as she rolls down again, sending another jolt of pleasure through you both. âThatâs it princess, j-just like that⊠youâre gettin real good at thisâŠâÂ
Her words of pleasured praise doâŠsomething else to you, sparking that last bit of energy you had left to life as you continue to try and keep rhythm with her, grinding together slow and deep and watching in awe as the first member of the elite four comes apart in front of you for the first time, her sounds going from quite whispers to long moans and pleasured keens.Â
âRika- R-rikaâŠâ you pant âmmf-fuck⊠canât believe itâs taken this long..â the words are out of your mouth before you have the forethought to think about them âIâve had the stupidest crush on you since we first met back when I was taking the gym challenge⊠you were so- ah! H-handsome and intimidatingâŠIâŠthought you were a-a man and nearly called you S-sir-â
âFUCK-â her shout actually makes you jolt, and you realise sheâs cumming, cunt grinding deliciously into your own as she bites down on your leg, the sudden extra jolt of pleasure-pain sending you over the edge as well with an open-mouthed scream.
Somewhere in the haze before you pass out, you make a mental note to try calling Rika âsirâ next timeâŠif there was a next time.
â
Itâs light out when you wake the next morning, blinking sleep from your eyes as you look out the window.
Seems the snow had only picked up during the night, most of which you don't remember afterâŠwell, everything. Save for a straw in your mouth, Rikaâs gentle voice coaxing a few sips of fluid into you, and a damp cloth wiping you down, hushing your overstimulated whimpers of protest.Â
Somehow sheâd even managed to get you dressed again without waking youâŠyou must have crashed hard. Yet the thing that sticks out to you is that the bed is severely lacking in another body, Rika nowhere to be found.
At first, a pit of worry sows itself into your gut. Had she gone to sleep on the couch after all that? Had she had second thoughts-
A clatter from down the hall, and her warm laughter however, abate that somewhat.
âYouâre such an ungainly thing.â you hear her snicker âHold on a second itâs nearly done, needy lizard.âÂ
Koraidonâs telltale âi'm hungry and sad, feed meâ whine quickly turns to happy chirping at the promise of food, his head turning to the hallway as you shuffle out of bed, blanket and all to trudge down the hall. happily leaving Rika to her business as he trots over to greet you, shoving his massive snout right into your belly.Â
âSee? All your complaininâ woke her up!â Rika snorts, resting a hand on her hip. âNâhere i was trying to make you breakfast before you woke upâŠâ
Your cheeks heat a little at the sentiment.
âKeyword is tryâŠgood luck getting any cooking past KoraidonâŠâ you mumble softly, petting said pokemonâs head feathers down as the other trainer leaves the kitchen, pressing a soft kiss to your temple.Â
âWell, initially Iâd enlisted him to help, but that turned out to be a bust..â She snickers. âGâmornin.â
âM-morning..âÂ
Rika tilts her head at you with an amused grin âaw, actin all shy after everything that happened last night?â she muses, chuckling when all the response you give is a slightly redder face before you drop your head into Koraidonâs feathers. Her amusement soon melts away as a warm, now intimately familiar hand, comes to rest on your back.Â
âHeyâŠâ she sighs âI enjoyed myself last night⊠I hope you did tooâŠâÂ
âI-I did⊠its justâŠIâŠâ you nibble at your bottom lip, unable to come up with the words to describe how youâre feeling. Giddy and nervous, emotional and excited, all wrapped up into one package.
Thankfully, your companion seems to take it in stride, pressing another kiss to your temple before she returns to the kitchen.
âOh by the way.â She pipes up after a moment. âGeeta called this morningâŠsnowâs a little too heavy today so HQâs shutâŠlooks like we have a long weekend.âÂ
Oh, an extra day off? That's probably the best news you could have gotten today, considering your legs were still shaking like a newborn deerlingâŠ
âNice..â you giggle, slowly shuffling towards the couch, pulling her blanket up over your shoulders as you flop down by the arm and get cozy.Â
âThats what I said.â She snickers, soon joining you with a hot plate of food. If youâd thought the galarian curry last night had been good, this trumped it, your body screaming for food after last nightâs exertion.Â
âYâknow, if you wantâŠyouâre more than welcome to crash here for the weekendâŠâ Rika throws the offer casually as she eats, content smile upon her face as she watches you from the corner of her eye âSnowâs only gotten heavier since yesterday, nâI don't wantcha getting hurt tryina get home..âÂ
This time, you can hear the intent behind her words, the intent you couldnât read yesterday as you turn your head towards the window, to the almost whiteout of Masagoza. You contemplate the offer as you polish off your breakfast, placing the plate on the coffee table before you, watching as Koraidon happily trots up to lick the plate clean with a happy chirp.
âHmmmâŠwell, if youâre happy to have meâŠwho am I to say noâŠsir.â you know itâs cheeky, you know itâs going to end badly for you, but watching Rikaâs face suddenly go from cool, calm and collected, to beet red is totally worth it before she shoves the last mouthful of her own food into her mouth, slamming the plate onto the table before she grabs you by the collar of your shirt and hauls you up.Â
You cackle all the way down the hall as she all but drags you back to the bedroom.
You were in for a long weekend indeed.

you know what I've been thinking about lately?
morpheus, hob and their soulmate moving to like, a cottage somewhere outside the city and just living their cute and cozy life
just the three of them cooking together, going grocery shopping and everything?? just domestic blissđ„č
Alexa play âSo This Is Loveâ đ„°đ„č this is the cutest thing in the entire world and itâs all I would ever want
Maybe this cottage is in the Dreaming tucked away so no one can ever disturb the three of you. It was perfectly crafted by Dream and Hob also had a say in the design because in the end it was a gift to you, a forever home. When they reveal it to you, you are over the moon and are pulling them in a hug and kissing their cheeks giggling âthank you! I love it!â
With the Dreaming there is definitely a town or a square or some place mingling with dreamers so you certainly can shop until your heartâs content!
You and Hob definitely do a lot of baking together. Sometimes you like to do it yourself and bake for them to show your love. And sometimes you like the help and getting into shenanigans in the kitchen with Hob (flour everywhere, kisses all over you, and a confused Dream who walked in on the snowy like mess)
Did someone say reading nook? Because you have one! And a secret room hidden behind a bookshelf in the living room thatâs impossibly big and doesnât physically make sense since when you swing it open you would be hitting the bathroom but hey youâre in the Dreaming things donât have to make sense! Lazy days in that room are best. Maybe youâre reading, or doing some other hobby while your loves enjoy themselves in silence
Naps in said room? Perfection
Also garden? Gazebo? Swings from trees? Yes to all! Your home is like plucked from a fantasy book come to life. Picnics outside are welcomed, and swimming in the nearby pond is fun (skinny dipping anyone?)
You definitely have a room crafted just for you to have your own space. A bedroom with all your things and how you always dreamt you could have it! Of course thereâs a room for all three of you to sleep together but having your own space is heavenly
Snuggles and cuddles around a fireplace while itâs snowing or raining
And just the three of you carving your own slice of paradise

Random Sebastian Sallow dating headcannons
Unlike my previous ones, this can apply to any house honestly. F!MC as well.
Must be touching you. He's either holding your hand, has an arm around your waist or shoulder, just anything that invades your personal space. If you're not big on physical affection, he will back off and respect your space. Otherwise, prepare to become joined at the hip with your boyfriend.
I imagine Sebastian's kisses vary on his mood. He's feeling calm, you get sweet gentle kisses. He's feeling a little jealous, very hot searing kisses. Feeling romantic, long passionate kisses.
If you're silently reading together, he'll occasionally just take your hand and give a kiss to the back of it, his eyes not leaving the page he's on. You're also snuggled up to him.
If Sebastian absolutely had to pick one thing that he loved about you, it would be your laugh. You could have the most donkey sounding laugh and he'd still love it. It's what makes you unique.
So if you're sad, he's gonna do anything to hear you laugh again. Doesn't matter if he utterly embarrasses himself in the process, just as long as he gets to hear your wonderful laugh.
Alright, imagine you guys are in potions. For some reason, you're making Amortentia.
To you, it smells like old books, smoke, and freshly turned Earth. Here's my reasoning. The old books because Sebastian always has his nose in a book and spends a good amount of time in the library. Smoke because of his frequent use of Confringo. And the earthy smell because Feldcroft is a farming hamlet so I imagine Sebastian has to work in the fields during the break.
For Sebastian, the potion smells like fresh rain, pine trees, and your favorite sweets from Honeydukes. Rain because it seems like when it does rain, you're always drawn to the window to watch it fall, or drag him outside to dance in it. Pine trees because you're always going into the Forbidden Forest like the adventurous little thing you are. And finally the candy because he actually took you to Honeydukes during your first week at Hogwarts, after the troll attack. He said that you needed a proper day at Hogsmead without a troll.
Dates include trips to Hogsmead, reading in the library, or just walking around the countryside. He actually prefers taking walks in the countryside because he likes being away from everyone else and just having you to himself for a little while. It feels more intimate and romantic to him.
On a scale of 1-10, I'd say Sebastian is a solid 5 or 6 maybe on the jealousy scale? He trusts you completely, just not anyone trying to make a move on you. He'll keep his composure at the start but if the person isn't taking no for an answer and keeps pushing, you'd have to hold him back from casting Confringo on the person.
You both started dating before the relic incident and after killing his uncle, Sebastian distanced himself a little bit, thinking you'd never want to see him again.
When you had had enough of this, you tracked him down, dragged him into the Undercroft, and had a good long talk about the situation.
When you said you still loved him despite the things he's done, poor thing completely broke down. Leading you to wrap him up in a hug, peppering his face with small kisses.
After Anne left to who knows where, you and Sebastian spend the breaks together.
I'm actually not quite sure if MC has family. I've seen some fics have her being from an orphanage and some where she does have family.
So if MC has family, Sebby is coming home with you for school holidays. Parents will absolutely love him.
If MC doesn't have family, you're staying with Sebastian in Feldcroft.
Just make sure our boy isn't left alone in Feldcroft feeling horrible about himself every single second.
Alright, that's enough angst, back to fluff!
During winter break, you're both making a snowman as soon as there's enough snow on the ground.
At least that's how it starts out.
When he's preparing one of the snowballs for the body, he feels a cold and wet substance hit him in the back of the head.
He turns and sees you with a not so innocent smirk on your face.
So chaos ensues with you pelting each other with snowballs.
After a while, you both go inside in a fit of giggles and warm up by the fire with some tea.
If Quiddich came back after year five and Sebastian was on the team, I'm definitely going by popular belief that our boy is a beater.
You bet you're decked out in Slytherin garb as you cheer him on, even if you aren't Slytherin.
He 100% is having you wear his jersey during a victory party or something. Basically another way of flaunting that you're his girl, no one else's.
Alright, I could go on about a relationship with this man but I better stop here.

3.113 Respect your elders
Since we were right down the street, we walked to the cemetery to lay fresh flowers on my grandparents' graves. As soon as we stepped outside, a chilly wind brushed past us, and snow began falling. Summer was just days away. Newcrest wasn't the warmest city I'd lived in, but the cold and snow should have been over a long time ago. I expressed my desire to see Gammy again, but knew it probably wouldn't happen in the middle of the afternoon. But Sophia, my sweet Sophia, was a great cheerleader.
"You'll see her," she said.
"But it's daytime. I don't think they come out in daylight."
"She'll come out as soon as she hears your voice. She loves you so much."
"Well...I hope you're right. I won't hold my breath, though."
"While we wait for her...it's still Love Day, and I love you," she said sweetly, inching toward me.
My eyebrow went up.
"You look like you're looking for trouble."
"Trouble?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. "I don't know her."
"Mmm hmm. I love you too. You and your trouble."
No sooner than she planted a kiss on my cheek, mist poured out of Gammy's headstone.
"Oh my Watcher," I shouted. "You were right! She's coming!"
The mist spilled onto the plot and swirled around our feet. Gammy's ghost popped as orange as a sunset.
"I know y'all not trying to get busy in the graveyard," she shouted. "I'm not mad, though. Come here, my baby!"
I laughed and threw my arms around her.
"Hey, Gammy! Happy Love Day!"
"Oh! Is that what day it is? Happy Love Day to you!"
She squeezed me tightly, and just like Mama did when I announced I had proposed, she pushed me aside and turned her attention to Sophia. Pope women. I shook my head lovingly at her.
"Let me see that ring!"
Sophia extended her hand and let Gammy ooh and ahh.
"Okay, Luca," she said. "You did well! Let me see some pictures! I want to know everything!"
Sophia whipped out her phone and scrolled through the wedding pictures she was tagged in.
"Oooh a beach wedding," she shouted. "That dress was perfect! Awwww look at my baby! You were so handsome, Mr. Cute Face!"
Now I had to know. Did Mama name me that, or did she steal it from Gammy?
"Oh, look at my child," she said with a tremor in her voice. "She was always so beautiful. I miss her so much. Hmph...I see she's still messing with that ol spineless...let me be nice. Oh! You had Ali officiate? That's so special. And there's my other baby, looking like a model! She probably doesn't remember me. That venue was perfect! Was that Tartosa?"
"Yes, ma'am," Sophia said.
"I would have loved to get married there, but we eloped at the romance festival."
Sophia's face lit up.
"Really? I always heard of sims doing that but never met anyone who did."
"Now you have! It was magical...but oh so cold! That fool has us out there in a blizzard! Speaking of, let's get you out of this cold."
We went inside the building, but it didn't provide much warmth. It was eerily cold in there, and I thought I saw a figure floating around the casket in the font.
"Gammy...are you okay? You don't seem like yourself. And you're orange."
"I am," she said. "Don't worry about me. Tell me about you. How's married life? Are you trying for babies yet?"
I glanced over at Sophia, who nodded at me, giving her blessing to share our story with Gammy.
"Married life is amazing. I've never been happier. We're moving to a bigger house in San Sequoia tomorrow. And...uhhh...we're still working on a baby."
"Oh noooo. Are you..."
"Yeah."
"I'm so sorry to hear that. That kind of thing can knock the wind out of your sails. I personally haven't gone through it, but I'm familiar with wanting something really bad and not getting it. Don't give up, you hear? It'll happen! Just be good yourselves and don't get stressed out. You'll see!"
"Thanks, Gammy. We're trying to stay positive."
"Good. Well, you two should get out of here. It's Love Day! Take this young lady home and blow her back out until you pass out! Put THREE babies in there, ha ha!"
"Gammy!!"
I'd always been one to respect and listen to my elders...

Moose - Just Us Chapter 77
Warnings: None
Word Count: 4790
Series List | Chapter 76 | Chapter 78
================================
We were now waiting at baggage collection, Wanda pulled into my side as my right arm rests over her shoulder. The boy's eyes follow every bag that goes past, double checking to see if they are ours or not as they bounce on their feet excitedly. Luckily, they seem a lot more awake than they were this morning which makes sense since they slept on the plane.Â
I rest my head on top of Wanda's feeling her relax against me more, closing my eyes for a moment as I breathe in her scent. When they open up I smile against her hair when I see the boys both grabbing each of our bags off the conveyor belt, turning around with proud smiles on their faces when they show us.Â
"Okay so we have the bags. What now?" Tommy asks as he passes me my suitcase.
"Now we head out, we can grab a drink and some food from one of the shops here. Then you have to look out for a white hat volunteer."
"A white hat volunteer?" Billy passes Wanda's bag to her.
"Yeah, so they wear white hats and red vests. They are people who welcome you to Calgary and have bits of information and everything. I just need to know where to find our rental car."Â
"Okay so we have the bags, we need to find where we are going and get coffee. Also go to the toilet now because we have a nearly 3 hour drive ahead of us." Wanda lists off as we all start walking out of baggage claim.Â
Wanda holds her hand in mine swaying them between us as we follow the boys closely behind, as they follow the signs above to the exit. As the boys lead us towards the exit me and Wanda look out for a coffee shop in desperate need of a caffeine boost. When we finally find one we decide to sit down and to drink it so the boys can disappear to the toilet without getting lost.
"So what's the plan once we leave the airport?" Wanda blows on the top of her coffee before taking a sip.
"Well I thought since we have had a long day of travelling we can just have a relaxed night by the fire watching movies or playing a board game. Then tomorrow we can come back and explore Calgary and some surrounding areas maybe. Or make that a day or two thing. Then it's going to be snowing so we will be sort of stuck in the cabin for a while as the roads can be quite dangerous but it doesn't mean we can't go outside. There are a few look out sights around the area we can look at the mountains from. But we can ask one of the white hats for a guide."
"Okay. So we are definitely exploring, I mean you can't not explore. Where we go is up to you, since you've been here a few times so you know the good spots. The boys have only dealt with New York snow so it should be an adventure for them." She takes another sip of coffee as I watch the boys join the queue to get themselves a drink. "What about wild animals? How likely are we to run into them?"
"We will see them on the drive up to the cabin, but I own the land and paid to have it fenced. It's not fenced off that much that it causes issues with the wildlife, but it is enough so we can explore the surrounding forest a little. Although we should still be careful because the fence doesn't always stop the animals. But we have security cameras that are motion sensors and infrared so we can check for anything before we go out."
"Okay." Wanda takes in the information as the boys join us at the table.
"You mentioned there was a lake?" Tommy takes a sip of his hot chocolate.
"Yeah, it might freeze over during the week but if you want to we can do some fishing while it isn't. We can cook fresh fish too if that's something you want to do?"
"I've never been fishing before, so yes please!" Tommy shuffles excitedly in his seat as I smile warmly at him.
"What about you Billy?" He simply shakes his head.
"I never liked the idea of fishing, sitting there for ages with nothing on the end of the line. I brought the camera so I can take pictures and that. It's for a school project."
"That sounds cool, it's like the most picturesque place I've ever seen."Â
"Yeah I've always enjoyed photography, capturing something in the moment that will last forever."
"Maybe I will join you on one of your photography missions. I think it's about time I draw the mountains again."Â
"Awesome. I'm already so excited and I don't even know where we are going." Me and Wanda let out a small laugh at that before we both finish our drinks.
I stand up from my chair once the boys have finished their drinks, moving over to Wanda and holding my hand out for her to take as she stands up. The boys walk ahead of us on a mission to find us a white hat volunteer, while me and Wanda smile at the sight of the boys pointing out things around the airport as we wander around. Â
"Look there's a lady in a white hat and red vest." Tommy points out to me and Wanda as Billy starts to make his way over to the smiling lady.Â
Me and Wanda start to make our way over as Tommy runs over to join Billy who is already chatting to the lady. When Tommy points to me and Wanda the lady smiles wider, gently placing her hand on the boys back as they all walk towards us.
"Hiya folks, welcome to Calgary my name is Janet. Where have you guys flown in from?" I tilt my head slightly as I try to recall where I have seen this woman before.
"New York! We had to get up, like, super early!" Tommy complains, I let out a small laugh while I put my arm over Wanda's shoulder.
"Oh New Yorkers! Is it your first time visiting Calgary?" She aims the questions at the boys as they bounce on their feet in excitement.
"It's ours and mom's first time in Canada. Y/n's been here a few times."Â
"Well that is so much to do! Here are these." She hands both the boys a guide then one between me and Wanda. "So where are you guys going?"
"We don't know." Billy shrugs as he playfully glares at me. "Y/n won't tell us."Â
"Fine, we are going to my cabin at Cathedral Mountain."Â
"Where's that?" Tommy tilts his head in question.Â
"Wow you own one of the cabins up there?" Janet looks at me as a look of realisation crosses her face. "Y/n, I thought the name sounded familiar. You own the Stark cabin don't you?"Â
"I do, yes. How did you know?"
"My husband and I own a cabin across the lake. My daughter and granddaughter are staying there for a few weeks."Â
"Wait Mrs Bishop?" She nods her head at me and I immediately engulf her in a hug. "Wow it's been a while since I've seen you last. How is Eleanor? And Kate! How old is she now?"Â
"It has been a while dear. Eleanor is doing well and Kate is 19 now." She moves out of the hug and looks to the other three who look very confused.
"Oh sorry guys. Janet, this is my girlfriend Wanda and her two boys Billy and Tommy. Guys this is my cabin neighbour Janet, I've known her since we first brought the cabin, but have only run into each other once or twice over the years. It must be three years now, wow you look good Mrs Bishop. No wonder I didn't recognise you straight away."
"It's nice to meet you." Wanda holds out her hand, but Janet pulls her into a hug which Wanda instantly relaxes into.Â
"Sorry I'm a hugger dear." Janet mentions as she releases Wanda. "So how long have you been together?"Â
"Well we met on the 10th of last month so just over a month and a half. But it will officially be one month, tomorrow since she asked me to be her girlfriend." Wanda beams up at me as I speak.
"Well it's lovely to meet you all." Janet leans up to whisper in my ear. "I'm sure Eleanor won't mind keeping an eye on the boys if you want to celebrate your one month."
I blush a little at the insinuation as Janet smirks at me, while Wanda looks at me confused. I shrug and Wanda doesn't ask any questions as Janet nudges my shoulder.
"Anyway Janet. We came looking for a white hat since I don't know where the rental place is."Â
"How do you not know? You have been here plenty of times."Â
"We used to hire a driver for the airport transport, but since this is more of a family vacation it's easier for me to drive."Â
"Okay well if you go towards the main exit, it's like a tiny little booth on the right with one or two workers. You can't really miss it as it has a big sign above saying Calgary car hire."Â
"Thank you Janet."
"Of course dear. Anything else I can help you with?" I look around to the other three who are simply watching the interaction shaking their heads at her question. "Very well, but you guys best come to my cabin for dinner at some point before you leave."
"Of course. Is there anything we should bring?" Wanda asks as we all start moving towards the exit, Janet walking with us.
"Just yourselves and some warm clothes dear."Â
"Okay, how about Thursday?" Wanda continues her conversation as I spot the car hire place.
"Thursday is perfect. I will see you then, dear." She hugs Wanda then me.
"See you then Janet." The boys give her a small wave as she walks back to her post.
My hand moves down to hold onto Wanda's as I start to walk us to the car hire place, the boys on either side of us as we all drag our suitcases behind us. I smile at the man behind the counter who is too busy typing into his computer to even look up at us, holding a single finger in the air silently telling us to wait. I raise my eyebrows at the action and turn to look at Wanda who has the same expression on her face. We wait a few minutes before Wanda huffs.
"Excuse me, I'm sure you're busy but we've just got off our plane and would much rather be driving to our destination than waiting here for you to do your job." I twist my lips as Wanda leans against the counter, the man's eyes widening slightly at the angered tone of Wanda's voice. I may or may not be swooning over the fact her accent was audible too.
"Right, sorry. Hi, how can I help?" He straightens out some papers on the desk as he looks between me and Wanda.
"I pre-booked a car under the name Y/n Barton." He nods as he types away on his computer.
"I have you down for the white jeep wrangler Rubicon from today until the 30th."
"Yeah that's the one."
"Perfect so I just need the card you paid with and your driving licence." I pass them off to him and he looks at the passport then the card, then back to me. "The name on the licence and the card are different, can I also have a look at your passport."
"Jeez, you have stronger security than most airports." He lets out a small laugh as I hand it over.
"Unfortunately, it's a policy. We know that people change their names, but we need extra proof if it occurs so we can confirm that the names and address matches. Or something like that. If I don't do it, I get fired and I can't be having that."
He looks between the three items.Â
"So because the surname on the license and passport are Stark I am going to have to change that in our database even if you don't go by that name anymore."
"No problem. I get it, you're just doing your job." The boys both scrunch their brows at me then up to Wanda who shows herself zipping her lips so the boys press their lips together and go back to looking around the airport.
"Okay so that's all sorted, here are the keys and paperwork with emergency numbers and terms and conditions. The manual for the car will be in the glove box. If you come out of here turn right and follow the signs for the car hire parking lot you should easily find your vehicle.I hope you enjoy your stay in Calgary."
"Thank you." I take the keys and the four of us start in the direction the young man had told us.Â
Once we spot the car the boys sprint off both calling shotgun on the front seat, trying to push in front of one another, with me and Wanda laughing at their antics as we slowly follow behind them. Once a small amount of arguing starts Wanda simply tilts her head raising her eyebrows and the boys stop immediately, bowing their heads.Â
"Right bags in the back, then boys in the back." Wanda takes the keys from my hand to unlock the car.
"But I called shotgun mom!" Tommy whines as he trudges to the back of the car.
"Actually I called shotgun, so you will have to sit in the back with Tommy mom." Billy tries to act smug, but zips his lips when Wanda quirks her brow again.Â
"What do you think Y/n? Who should be sat upfront with you?" Tommy pleads with his eyes but I simply wrap my arm around Wanda.
"As the driver of the car I decree that your mother gets the passenger seat every time we share a car, but any other time shotgun rules."
"I guess that's fine." Tommy grumbles as Wanda kisses the underside of my jaw, before leaving my grasp to open the back door of the car.Â
Once we are all settled in the car, and having let it warm up with it idle in the parking lot, I set the destination in the navigation system. I rest my arm on the back of Wanda's chair as I look behind me and out of the rearview window to see what I'm doing when reversing. I turn around catching Wanda staring at me with flushed cheeks before I put the vehicle in drive and get us going.Â
"So we are going to be driving through Calgary, then will be driving along the prairie land. So everything is super flat until we reach the mountains, but it creates such a beautiful view. We will also be driving through a place called Banff, which is a nice little mountain town. We will explore these places probably tomorrow and Tuesday since it is not snowing. We can do some sightseeing and shopping, go to some cute cafĂ©s, that sort of thing. Then when it snows we can stay up in the cabin for a lot of it. Thursday we have dinner with the Bishop's. Apart from that we have nothing apart from relaxing to do. Everyone happy?"Â
"Happy!" They all say in unison. Creepy.
I look over to Wanda who, at some point through my ramble, interlocked our hands resting it on the arm rest between our chairs. Her head is resting on her other hand which is being propped up by her elbow on the door, a fuzzy smile on her face as her eyes look into my soul once more. I divert my attention back to the road before looking in the rearview mirror to check on the boys who are on their phones. I feel Wanda squeeze my hand to get my attention, and I squeeze it back to let her know she has it while my eyes flick back to the road.
"I love you."
"Love you too Princess." I laugh when I hear the boys fake gag in the back and Wanda sends them a glare.
~~~~
We've been on the road for about an hour, the boys and Wanda having been looking out the windows at the passing scenery since we got out of Calgary, their eyes lighting up at the sight of a few deers in the fields. Wanda perks up leaning forward to the stereo controls when a new song starts playing. The boys lean forward slightly and I smile and the happy smiles they both have.
"This is one of our favourite songs." Wanda blushes as she says it, and I only smile wider, turning it up more.Â
(Shotgun - George Ezra)
Homegrown alligator, see you later
Gotta hit the road, gotta hit the road
Something changed in the atmosphere
Architecture unfamiliar
I could get used to this
I smile when the boys start singing, swaying their bodies side to side in their seats. I look at Wanda who is shyly whispering the lyrics. I squeeze her hand gently taking a quick look at her as I start singing the next verse trying my best to show her it's okay to sing aloud, as I look back to the road.
Time flies by in the yellow and green
Stick around and you'll see what I mean
There's a mountaintop that I'm dreaming of
If you need me you know where I'll be
I look back at Wanda when I realise she stopped singing, the boys only getting louder, and see her already looking at me with her lip between her teeth. Her eyes show me so much love and as I continue to sing as I turn my attention back to the road I see a smile grow on her face from my peripheral vision. I give her hand another squeeze and smile widely when I hear her start singing the chorus.
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone (someone)
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone
All of us are now swaying our bodies left to right, and I tap my hand against the steering wheel, as we get into our groove and start to enjoy the music. Wanda's voice is more confident and for never having heard I sing, I'm amazed her voice is beautiful and she has a husk to it that makes my heart soar at the sound. I just fell more in love with her if that is even possible.
We're south of the Equator, navigator
Gotta hit the road, gotta hit the road
Deep sea diving 'round the clock, bikini bottoms, lager tops
I could get used to this
Time flies by in the yellow and green
Stick around and you'll see what I mean
There's a mountaintop that I'm dreaming of
If you need me you know where I'll be
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone (someone)
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone
Wanda let's go of my hand as she starts dancing in her seat, moving her hand in time to the beat. At first she simply taps at the air but it slowly transforms into her hands waving about in the air looking like waves, or rolling her wrist with her fingers like she is trying to entice someone. She giggles a little when she sees me turning my head to look as she sings a few lyrics to me before I turn my attention back to the road.Â
We got two in the front (hey)
Two in the back (hey)
Sailing along
And we don't look back (back, back)
Time flies by in the yellow and green
Stick around and you'll see what I mean
There's a mountaintop that I'm dreaming of
If you need me you know where I'll be
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone (someone)
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone (someone)
I'll be riding shotgun underneath the hot sun
Feeling like a someone, a someone, a someone, someone
I look in the rearview mirror and smile when I watch the boys sing to one another as they bop their heads, smiling at one another. I look back to the road and feel Wanda's hand creep into mine as she brings it up to her lips and starts to sing against the back of my hand. I take a quick look over at her to see her already looking at me with her fuzzy smile before she continues to sing against my hand and I look back to the road.Â
We all let out small giggles when the song comes to an end and Wanda leans forward to turn the stereo back down. As she leans back she brings our hands back to her lips as she peppers the back of my hand with kisses, so I squeeze her hand in return. Once she has deemed all of my hand kissed, she brings it down to rest in her lap as she rests her back against the headrest.Â
"Guys look." I point out the window to the mountains that we are now starting to drive past, the flat land left behind.
"Woah. It's beautiful." Wanda's jaw drops as she looks out her window.
"It only gets more beautiful from here."Â
~~~~~
We have just passed through Banff which means we have another hour left of our journey, the boys are on their phones keeping themselves entertained as Wanda takes a small nap. I suddenly see something in the road that makes me wake her up knowing she won't want to miss it and grab the boy's attention.
"Princess, boys. Look what's on the road." Wanda's eyes flutter open just by the sound of my voice and the boys lean forward to look through the windscreen and I smile when I hear all three of them gasp.
"Holy cow! That's huge!" Wanda sits forward in her seat more as I slow the car down so I can avoid the animal.
"Actually mom, I think it's a moose." Tommy giggles as Wanda rolls her eyes before they go back to looking at the huge animal.
"It is indeed a moose. Looks like a fully grown male to me with how big it is."Â
It's walking on our side of the road, I slow down even more to make sure I don't spook it as I check the other side of the road. When I confirm there are no other cars coming I slowly pull out onto the other side and up next to the moose. Wanda and the boys look up to the moose as we pass at a safe distance before I get back to our side of the road and slowly speed up.
"That was bigger than the car!" Billy squeals as him and Tommy look at the rearview window as Wanda looks in her side mirror.
"Yeah, that was probably about 2.5m to the shoulder. They are big creatures. Dangerous too."
"I didn't think they were that big. I always thought they were like deer in size." Wanda thinks aloud as she looks to the boys who look at her nodding.
"Well hopefully we see a few more during this week. We may get lucky and see some bears and wolves too."Â
"Wait wolves and bears! Will there be any by the cabin?" I shake my head at Billy's question.
"Shouldn't be. The land is fenced off to a certain point so we are protected."Â
"Damn I wanted to see a bear...or a wolf." I laugh as he slumps back in his chair.Â
"Well there are plenty of times that you see them on the road, so keep an eye out everytime we drive. You might get lucky." With that both boys start looking out the windows desperate to find the animals they want to see.
Wanda pulls my hand up to her face, her hand moving behind mine as she presses it against her cheek. She kisses the palm of my hand and I start rubbing my thumbs over her cheek bone, I feel her lean into my hand more. She kisses it a few more times before placing it in her lap as she plays with my fingers, and I smile when she starts drawing random shapes and patterns.
~~~~
"And we are here." I inform them as I stop the car on the gravel.
"Wow this is massive." Tommy says as he climbs out of the car with Billy.
"It is beautiful Y/n." Wanda leans over the center console to kiss my cheek before she climbs out of the car.Â
I join them in grabbing our bags from the back before pushing the door shut and locking the car watching as the three of them race to the front of the cabin. I smile as they look through the windows of the cabin gasping at what they see inside. I make it to the front door of the cabin, watching their excitement grow as I unlock the door. They walk into the cabin, eyes scanning every detail as they spin around to get a full view.Â
"Okay so Tommy your room is going to be up the stairs third door on the right, Billy yours is the first door on the right. The second door is a cupboard with some games and other stuff in it. Boys, your rooms have their own toilets, but make sure you lock both doors when doing your business because the other door leads to the shared bathroom. You have two sinks and there is a walk in shower, so you sort out who is showering first between you two."
"Okay Y/n!" They both shout as they make their way up the stairs holding their suitcases up so they don't bump against the stairs.Â
"Where are we staying?" Wanda asks as I grab her bag nodding for her to go up the stairs.
"We are in the only room on the left hand side. We have an ensuite with both a big bath that fits two, and a walk in shower like at your apartment. The room has a built-in wardrobe, a few chest of drawers and the view is spectacular."Â
She opens the door and her eyes scan the room as she walks around dragging a hand over every surface. She looks back to me after a while, and I let go of the suitcases when she runs towards me and jumps. I easily catch her as she wraps her arms and legs around my body while I spin us around a couple of times.
"You happy princess."
"I'm over the moon baby. This is so beautiful, it's amazing, it'sâŠ.I love it. I love you. So, so much." I smile at her as I bring our lips together for a few seconds before resting my forehead against hers.
"Go have a look out the window." I put her down and she shuffles over to the window, a small gasp escaping her lips as she looks up to the mountains.
"I wish we could stay forever in this moment." I come up behind her wrapping my arms around her waist as my chin comes to rest on the top of her head.
"You get to see this everyday for the whole week Wanda."Â
"I'm never going to get bored of that view." I kiss the top of her head.
"The view never gets boring, it's always as mesmerising as the first time I saw it."
"Y/n. Remember what I told you my dream home was?"
"I do and I know princess. We can have our own cabin in the mountains, in the woods, by a lake one day. You just need the boys to be in college." She turns around with a few tears in her eyes and I smile softly at her as I cup her cheeks.
"You remembered?" I nod softly as I lean down to peck her lips a few times.
"If it is a dream of yours then it is a dream of mine."
