unsurprisingly i’ve been drawing a lot of p03ficus lately; surprisingly not all of it is retyrement though! i think these two can have a great dynamic in a canon-compliant setting too

they both strike me as sleepless workaholic types, just very different flavors; i imagine they spend a lot of time worrying over each other’s sleep schedules and personal upkeep while simultaneously not giving a single thought to their own lmao

i also feel like magnificus is more likely to be fascinated by tech than repulsed by it, at least once he gets over the kneejerk reservations you might expect a wizard to have about that sort of thing

I love love love LOVE your Mouse Trap meta, but I do want to point out that I don't think the ball has been replaced with an eye, I'm pretty sure it's just the visual effect of the shiny metal surface being placed in and reflective in the yellow bucket. Still, it does create a very striking pareidolia!

Oh. LOL. Well I'm always happy to see fun things where they aren't there (that's part of the fun, and sometimes I even do it to be contrary or silly).

I played Mouse Trap tremendously a lot growing up but I couldn't even remember how it looked. The closeup reflection on the ball is very sharp, and the iris is almost chiseled with a ring of detail. Here's what it looks like in-bucket:

I still think it looks a bit enhanced. the iris too visible. You could create this in the post-edit! But even then, it would still be intentional in that case.

IMHO, this looks like a professional nod to one of those cryptkeeper resin balls they used to make in the 90s and give out at Halloween, right down to the glass effect in the iris. But I agree it matches the visual trick and, if anything, was likely done in post edit to enhance!

The biggest difference between Andromeda and Veilguard is that Andromeda respects the lore, and since it's "separate" from the original trilogy you're free to enjoy it or hate it without one affecting the other. Veilguard is not like that. It was supposed to be an epic finale joining everything we did during the course of three games, but not only did it fail by itself, it also destroyed all that came before it forever. The countries and people you busted your ass to save? Oh, the Blight took everything off-screen, so now it doesn't matter! And if there is ever a fifth game, they're just gone make it in a way that not even Veilguard matters. Fucking up a standalone game is one thing, but fucking one a game and simultaneously the entire trilogy that came before it and lying to your players that you respected their choices is an absolute prize.

Tuna, i don't know HOW you picked this song but it's literally one of the most heart wrenching things on dbhc Tango's playlist so. congratulations. i think <3 I think I said ages ago in some tags that Tango was about to get the dbhc Etho Angst treatment, and i got very quickly distracted/consumed by Destruction and Doc/Xisuma related Angst, but boy oh boy am i glad i get to finally hit on a little bit of this poor man's trauma LDFKJGDFG

I'l try to keep this brief but. I'm insane enough about the hermitcraft season 8 finale as is, and even more than that i'm crazy enough about Tango's hermitcraft season 8 finale, and then on top of all that, you're telling me a jaded, bitter android whose characterizing moments of anger and failure are carried on his sleeve is the same android who tried to be the hero and save his friends, only to let an oversight be the reason he not only fails, but destroys his body in the process???? ?? ? A machine who isn't supposed to make oversight mistakes???? A machine who somehow let a rabbit be the reason he failed ? ? ??? I dont know what you expected from me other than to be extremely unwell about him and this whole arc in general

The base version of this song is just as good, but something about the piano version gets the vibes just right for these scenes... Something about the waltz-style cheeriness of the vocals contrasting to how horrific the lyrics and situation actually are. Idk man i'm fine don't look at me
