I feel like I should say since there's been a recent uptick in a lot of communities I'm in/see stuff from a lot of white people pretending to be Asian, but you are not welcome here if you are in anyway stealing from Asian cultures for clout or the aesthetics of it
This includes if you're white and you give your self inserts Asian names, I truly do not care if your f/o is from an anime, you should not be using an Asian name under any circumstances. I hate that whenever I see someone using an Asian name online, I feel like I have to start searching their account to see if they're actually Asian or just a white person who likes the aesthetic of it bcs far too many white people will use Asian names here just bcs it sounds cool, with no regard for the actual cultural meaning behind it. Meanwhile actual Asian people will be mocked for their names, or treated like their names are too hard to learn to pronounce, or discriminated against based on their names
Asian cultures are not a fun little costume for people to dress up with. They aren't just a nice aesthetic, they aren't just a thing you can borrow from bcs you think it sounds cool

@glowweek Day 5
FAMILY | FRIENDS
Peridot and specially Lapis do not trust the racoons.
Specifically chose this angle so I don't draw feet. _(:,3」∠)_
Mi own connverse kids Ebony and Rohini are there! And technically Sakura and Zachary. (Please until now I don't know what else to name them. 😭)
And sorry the older Maheswarans aren't there. I don't know where to put them and I already had character overload. 😞
Hibiscus print on Bismuth's shirt is from ManMadeOfGold!
Speaking of shirt, another thing I avoided was thinking of their outfit designs. 😅 It's somewhere a little over a decade of timeskip since SU:Future and I'm sure at least one or two would've reformed during the time. So I'm gonna say they wanted to keep the vibe of a casual outdoors picnic-type event so they wore the casual themes.

COC Day 17: Fluff
"It's so...fluffy..."
For this @carryon-countdown prompt I wanted to draw Big Brother Baz because I adore him being a big brother. Fluffy just turned to fluffy dress in my head soon after that.
I can imagine Baz helping Mordelia find the right gown for her Leavers Ball, someday. Before they can try the dresses she actually likes they first have to try out the one Daphne picked out.
I imagine it goes something like this:
Baz: You look beautiful, Delia. *apologetically*
Mordelia: I look like a sherbert dessert or something.
Baz: Also true.
Mordelia: It's so... fluffy. How am I supposed to move in this?
Baz: Elegantly?
Mordelia: *gives him an unimpressed look*
Baz: .... I'll tell Daphne it didn't fit. Shall we continue shopping?
(Dialogue not set in stone; feel free to improve on it.)

I can imagine Soshiro going to pat Skully's head for some reason or another.
I also think Skully would greet their usual babysitter (besides their Mama, Kafka) as "Oki", short for Okonogi. I feel like I've heard that before.
And it might be cute if Soshiro at some point began to spot Captain Ashiro near a certain region of the base a little more often. Just enough to notice, but not enough to be suspicious.
One day he enters the surveillance room and Skully is humming and wiggling in their seat, doodling on some paper at their Oki's desk. Okonogi Konomi is supervising as usual: Her hands are clasped and her neck is craned to get a better look at the drawing, but she's otherwise just smiling and letting Skully do their thing.
She points at the paper and asks Skully a question. Okonogi always interacts with Skully in a sweet way. Aside from her initial fright at a Yoju up-close, Soshiro figures her scientific curiosity was piqued, and it's only natural for a human to treat a baby nicely. And Skully is such a sweetie, even as creepy a baby as they are. This time, though, Okonogi practically sings the question.
Skully's reply is short, so after, Soshiro casually asks, "Something good happen, Okonogi-chan?"
Skully reacts to Soshiro's presence, yipping "Papa!" and zipping out of the chair to run at him, page and crayon in hand. Meanwhile, Okonogi addresses him as Vice-Captain.
When Skully reaches Soshiro, Okonogi murmurs, as if keeping a secret, "I just saw something cute today."
Soshiro crouches to pat Skully's head, saying "Ah, little Kaiju~ You get bigger every day! What are we going to do with you?" which is, of course, an exaggeration.
Skully lifts themself on their toes to happily meet his hand in the greeting. But then Soshiro makes a slight face and rubs his fingers together. Something sticky or oily? He inspects his hand and notes a sweet smell, and the substance is clear and shiny.
He holds out his hand in front of Skully's face, curious. "What's this?"
Skully sniffs it, then happily hums in response to the scent. They look down at their paper with a kind of smile, their body wiggling, especially the tail, and something about their demeanor suggests they're blushing right through their face-plates. They croon a little when they say, "Pretty Ma-" but they stop, suddenly bewildered. "Ma?"

A whole week passed since the Sutton incident and Brooks still feels like shit, the guild eating him alive from the inside. He’s tried talking with his sister but she’d just evaded his calls and texts until finally blocking him. His mom had called specifically to tell him all about how disappointed she was. His friends hadn’t been particularly helpful either, unable to provide much more than a seemingly endless supply of booze and the occasional I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Telling them about his relationship at last had been nice, though. It was a relief to speak about Nehir openly now that he wasn’t scared they were going to slip and tell Sutton either unintentionally (Venus) or not so unintentionally (August) or that they were going to scold him for going behind his sister’s back (Mary who did it anyway despite how obviously regretful Brooks was).
He’s spent that week basking in his own misery. Aside from going along with work-related task so their manager doesn’t end up screaming at him, too, Brooks has been by himself. He didn’t feel like going out, he didn’t feel like talking. Not even with Nehir. His replies to her had been short and far in between and, while he is aware that is a complete 180 from his usual self, he can’t do anything more. Every time he thinks about her, the knot in his throat tightens, and his mind eventually goes down a Should we break up? spiral. And he doesn’t want to think like that, at all. It made him feel like a shit boyfriend.
He's in the middle of his new routine (rotating between three apps while rotting on the couch) when he hears the doorbell. Had he ordered something and forgotten? Had one of his friends ordered something for him? No one’s warned him about that or about coming over. He waits until he hears another persistent ring to finally get up and trudge towards the front door. One look through the peephole and he sighs, mentally steeling himself. “Hi. I thought you were going to be a serial killer,” Brooks jokes, forcing a smile as he leans against the door frame. “What’s up? You didn’t tell me you were coming over...”

When I say "sometimes it feels like Pathologic was created specifically to be my comfort game," what I mean is "one time when I got into an argument with my alcoholic mother over a narrative device in a horror film, she got so angry that I disagreed with her that she threatened to kick me out into the street with nothing that night. When I started crying she said, and I quote, 'I don't care about your emotions right now. I'm trying to talk to you about the theater.'" Incredible
