Zoe is definitely on the list of my favorite characters of this season and sorry it took me too long to write, I needed to think of a good plot for her hahahaha

"Wait, I don't know if I really want to do this."

You looked at Zoe, turning to be on her side instead of on top. You had been dating for a long time and already had a certain degree of intimacy to do certain things. But, of course, there was the limitation of powers, as you were rising witches and were learning to control your powers and magic.

"We don't have to if you don't want to," you assured her in a whisper, your hands coming down as if her legs were a stepladder.

"No, (Y\N), I want to, but…" she bit her lip, touching her face as she tried to contain herself. "I mean, you know what can happen if we have sex, don't you? I don't want to hurt you."

You two looked at each other for a while, and then you went back to kissing, because you knew that just one kiss would be okay. But her hands went down without her noticing, and when you both least expected it, Zoe was already sliding her fingers down your back, almost touching your butt.

"Everything okay?" you asked, interrupted by your own labored breathing. Zoe nodded, looking into her eyes, and seemed to be overcome with a surge of courage.

"Let me unzip your dress, please", she asked, whispering, making you melt all over. The proposal came out natural, which made you think that she wanted all that as much as you did.

Without a second thought, you sat back and let Zoe start unzipping your black dress, courtesy of the Academy, then her lips brushed across your neck and shoulders, giving you goosebumps like never before.

But, of course, all good things come to an end, and Zoe quickly returned to the real world, eyeing you with a mixture of concern and doubt. You could be pretty sure it was because she had never slept with a girl before if you didn't know your girlfriend.

"It's okay, babe, don't worry," you whispered, looking sideways at her. "I know you would never hurt me."

Zoe hesitated. "We can stop, you said that…"

"And what do you want?"

Zoe smirked suddenly and took a deep breath, pushing your hair out of sight, so she could kiss your skin again, her head seeming to move from side to side, as if she was in denial.

And you had no choice but to give in to her.

The whole thing was good at first, although you could sense that Zoe was still a little unsure. But it was always like that with you, when she kissed you, it was always calm and careful, hoping that none of her skills would cause harm, or that it would make matters worse for the other girls at the Academy. She would hate to have to explain to Cordelia about your relationship, even though you have the Supreme's full support.

"Don't hold back…", you whispered, noticing that Zoe was getting bothered at not being able to do what she wanted.

And then, finally, things heated up between the two of you. She kissed you more intensely, bit, and penetrated your entire body with everything that was still alive and energetic in her. The fear and trauma disappeared from the witch's mind while you had sex, and, after reaching the climax together, Zoe held you, hoping to see your reaction up close, even more worried about what would come.

Luckily, you looked better than ever.

"I told you so," you whispered as you brushed the hair off her sweaty forehead. "I told you, you could never hurt me. Not even if you wanted to."

She was silent, but nodded and kissed you more quickly now, still holding your face.

"I don't want to. Ever," Zoe whispered back. "I love you. I love every single thing about you, and I never doubted that our love would be greater than any power. I was just… I was just worried because I don't know what I would do if I lost you."

The two of you kissed for the umpteenth time and then unwound into another round of lovemaking. Now, at least, with the certainty that neither of them would die in the process, thankfully.

I don't normally do Just Characters Swearing, but. ...this kind of wrote itself and then wouldn't leave my head. it comes from both a piece of character-writing advice that has always stuck with me, and also my conviction that Leona is 1000% funnier as a character if his dialogue has to stay G-rated. let Kalim say fuck, but don't let Leona say bastard.

So I'm leaving work and something darts in front of me, maybe 10ft away, too fast for me to see what it is. Peek around the tree blocking my path and I see this

Just like... a whole ass hawk. Dude's gotta be about 1.5ft tall. Massive fucking bird. And it's just staring me straight in my soul like this, even as I try to move ahead. It didn't budge. And there's only this path back to my car unless I want to walk on a busy highway. So I have the option of Death By Raptor or Death By Truck.

So I walk in the poison ivy filled patch off the sidewalk. Guy still isn't moving. Still staring me directly in the eyes. And I do this thing when animals are behaving strangely where I'll talk to them, so I'm just like, "Hey, man. I don't know you. You don't know me. This feels really threatening. I'm just trying to get to my car, dude. Can I get some space please? You're a big fucking bird. I see those claws. You could kill me right now, but I'd appreciate if you didn't, ok?"

It didn't move until I was about 2ft away. Again: I'm as far from it as I can be without walking into the street. It clearly wasn't going to budge. I walk past, thing flies up (silent, btw. Scary) and lands on a brick wall a little further ahead

Anyway. Weird guy. Nearly shit my pants when I noticed a bird big enough to carry off a fully grown cat was just... there, staring me in the face, unwilling to move away from me, a human, something it should see as a threat. I watched behind me the whole rest of the way to my car, just in case this bird decided to help me shed this mortal coil. 10/10 experience. Super cool guy.

Always use "excuse me" if you have to get into someone else's personal space.

Someone at the store is standing in front of the shelf where there's a can you want to grab? Don't just reach into their personal space without warning, say "excuse me" or "pardon my reach" first so that they at least have a warning that someone is about to reach into their personal space, and most importantly, so that they have a chance to move before you get into their space.

Or if someone is standing on a walkway or in a doorway you need to get through, don't just silently shove past them or squeeze past them, say "excuse me" so that they have a warning that a someone is about to squeeze or shove into their personal space, and they have a chance to move out of the way before you do you.

People deserve a fair warning if someone is about to squeeze or shove or reach into their personal space. A lot of people are not okay with having someone, but especially a stranger, randomly shove or squeeze or reach into their personal space without warning. They also deserve a chance to move out of the way first for the sake of their comfort.

Try to avoid just staring at people who are in your way and expecting them to read your mind that you want them to move. Most people cannot, in fact, read minds, so having someone stand in front of them and stare at them often only leads to making them feel uncomfortable and frustrated.

But also more importantly, if you are standing somewhere someone needs to get to, and they say excuse me, you should move aside for them even if just temporarily, so they can avoid the discomfort of having to reach into your personal space or squeeze past you.

If someone is saying "excuse me" it's because they would like you to move because they don't want to have to get into your personal space, whether it's out of respect for you, or just because they themselves are not comfortable getting in your personal space.

All of this goes double for people with trauma and/or people who are neurodivergent. If someone has trauma related to abuse or assault they may find it more upsetting or possibly triggering to suddenly have someone shoving or reaching in their personal space without warning.

Or, many types of neurodivergence can make it especially disturbing and unpleasant to have someone else in your personal space, especially without warning.

You can never be 100% sure who is and isn't traumatized and/or neurodivergent, so always practice respecting other's personal space by giving them a fair warning with "excuse me" or "pardon my reach" before getting in their personal space, and moving aside when you hear those magic words. Or, even if someone isn't traumatized nor neurodivergent, it's still fair to not like someone in your personal space without warning and not being given the opportunity to move first.

I don't draw them at all consistently (let alone anywhere near on-model), so I'm not sure how helpful this will be. :') but I can share how I break it down, if that helps at all!

standard disclaimer that this is just how I draw them, take from it what you will, et cetera and so on and so forth. I really don't draw them close to canon at all, so this is sorta specific to my process, I guess? (and I am SUPER bad at putting things into words, so my apologies if this all comes off as a bunch of incomprehensible "you just, you know, ~*~*draw it*~*~" nonsense. 🫠 I can make no promises, but I'll try!)

I always start by establishing the shape of the skull and roughly where the hairline is -- the Shroudbros especially don't look anything like themselves without their hair, it's terrifying. :(

really can't overstate how much drawing hair is helped by thinking about it as different sections! even you have a less cartoony art style, it helps a LOT to start out with it as big, simplified shapes and then breaking it down more and more as you go.

the thing about their hair in particular is that the closer it is to their face, the more hair-like it is, and then it gets progressively more fire-y as it goes back. so their bangs pretty much act like regular hair! Idia has long, downward-and-outward-swooping bangs in that classic Yana M-shape, while Ortho's are shortier and spunkier (they kinda, uhhh, "lean" more to his right in general).

Idia also has these little short spiky sections that cover his ears and ring around the back of his head. these also act more like regular hair than fire.

them they have these big sections that are brushed back from their bangs and stick up -- this is where their hair really starts acting more like fire, so it doesn't have to be super consistent, just getting some nice flame-reminiscent shapes. I think of it as being in three sections: a bigger center flame, then two sections of smaller flames that kinda frame that center one. (I tend to treat this bit as being kind of flat/frond-y, although that's probably not really how it's supposed to be. ( ᐛ )

then I kinda just...fill in the back of their heads with more flame-y shapes that layer over each other. Idia does consistently have this one longer curvy bit that sticks out on his left; otherwise I just try to keep his hair feeling brushed back and with that sorta downward swoopiness he has in general, with just the little flame-ends sticking up. Ortho, meanwhile, has shorter clumps with an upward swoopiness (and note that his hair is under his headphones, so it gets a little compressed by them).

Idia's longer hair is where it gets to be, like, just pure fire, so it's all about whatever Shapes I feel like doin'! it kinda just...flows down from the back of his head, if that makes sense? sorta like a cross between water and a stream of fire. (length-wise, it goes down to either the back of his knees or down to his feet depending on which reference you're looking at...it really isn't super consistent, so I'm not either. :')

and that's how I draw their hair! I don't usually shade it beyond that just 'cause I'm lazy, but the shading does help sell the fire effect a lot -- their hair shading uses a lot of curvy and weird shapes that darkens from the center of their hair clumps out, with highlights/transparency on the tips (and just a little bit where hair highlights would normally be, to get the feeling of the curve in there).

SO yeah, hopefully you're able to get something helpful out of all this! 🙇
